This document discusses the development of a semi-active suspension system using a variable orifice damper prototype. Electromagnetic Braking System using Ultrasonic SensorAI Publications
The concept of our paper is based on the automatic braking system. As we know that most time the accident takes place due to loss of control, drunk & drive and much more breaking reason.In our system there is a sensor that detects the speed of movement of the vehicle and an ultrasonic sensor, that sense the distance of the object in front of the vehicle. The sensor system will sense the speed of the vehicle or object in the front while the microcontroller calculates the distance required to stop the moving vehicle. The whole system is automatic and the braking application will take place without any manual input therefore it will decrease the rate of error hence the rate of road accidents.

A shock absorber is a mechanical device designed to smooth out or damp a sudden shock impulse and dissipate kinetic energy. Without shock absorbers, the vehicle would have a bouncing ride, as energy is stored in the spring and then released to the vehicle, possibly exceeding the allowed range of suspension movement, Control of excessive suspension movement without shock absorption requires stiffer springs, which would in turn give a harsh ride. Shock absorbers allow the use of soft springs while controlling the rate of suspension movement in response to bumps. Now the project has mainly concentrated in designing a suitable suspension unit. The limit sensor is fixed to the front wheel. When the front wheel is in bounce, the limit sensor activates the pneumatic compressor automatically with the help of electronic control unit. Now the compressor starts running, activating the hydro pneumatic suspensor which is fitted in the back wheel. In a vehicle it reduces the effect of suspension travel on uneven terrains. Hydraulic system undergo torque multiplication in an easy way, independent of distance between input and output. Wind turbines form complex nonlinear mechanical systems exposed to uncontrolled wind
profiles. This makes turbine controller design a challenging task. As such, control of wind energy
conversion systems (WECS) is difficult due to the lack of systematic methods to identify requisite
robust and sufficiently stable conditions, to guarantee performance. The problem becomes more
complex when plant parameters become uncertain. This paper considers the wind energy curtailment
for which it provides a combinatorial planning model to maximize wind power utilization. The major
objective of this study is to develop an effective method for optimizing size of wind. A novel multiobjective
adaptation of the fuzzy based Harmony Search algorithm is proposed and tested for
efficiently solving the problem of optimally deploying wind turbines in wind farms. In this paper,
Harmony Search Algorithm (HSA) using fuzzy controller to achieve better optimization results and to
increase performance. A general formulation of this algorithm is presented together with an analytical
and mathematical modeling to solve the stability and performance of the system.

STATCOM A Review on Different Configurations and Topologiesijtsrd
Synchronous static compensators STATCOMs have been presented as a member of flexible alternating current transmission systems devices family in both distribution and transmission levels, namely distribution STATCOM and transmission STATCOM, respectively. These compensators have an important role in increasing the power quality in power systems because of having features investigated in various studies and because of the proper implementation of power functions, especially in compensating the voltage flicker. Studies on STATCOM can be categorized in two different parts. The first part is about the various topologies of the electronic converters used in the compensator and different arrangements of the coupling transformers with the network, which can be named as the power part. The second part is about theorizing at the control level, which eventually ends in producing the proper gate signals to control the switching of the electronic power switches in the power part. Considering the fact that two comprehensive reviews on STATCOM have been published in 2002 and 2009, this paper based on the aforementioned categorization reviews the studies fulfilled in the field of synchronous static compensator, especially the relevant studies in recent years published in creditable journals. The paper makes connections among the control methods and compares the ideas about power stage from different perspectives, so that conducted studies will be organized in a systematic order.
