The uniform loading effect has been studied and Experimental, FEA analysis will be compared with analytical solution. Afterwards, the analysis will be done by considering different parameters. This paper develops a modification to hydraulic damper to utilize its energy lose in the form of heat. During the working of actual hydraulic damper, when the suspension fluid is compressed inside the damper cylinder in order to absorb the vibration shocks,the frictional energy of the vehicle is dissipated as heat loss by the suspension fluid in order to minimise the effect of bumps and ridges in road. So in order to harness this power loss, we have developed an energy saving hydraulic damper by modifying the existing model of hydraulic damper.We create a separate flow path with rotating turbine parallel to the damping cylinder connecting the upper and lower end of damper. When the vehicle travels down from a bump, the coil spring compresses forcing the piston to push the suspension fluid upwards and this high pressure fluid travels through the flow path rotating the turbine which in turn runs the generator for power generation. A check valve is provided at the flow path end to prevent the fluid back flow.Thus the suspension fluid kinetic energy is converted into mechanical energy by means of the turbine.

2D drawing is drafted using the calculations. A parametric model of the flywheel is designed using 3D modeling software
Pro/Engineer.
The forces acting on the flywheel are also calculated. The strength of the flywheel is validated by applying the forces on
the flywheel in analysis software ANSYS.
Structural analysis, modal analysis and fatigue analysis are done on the flywheel. Structural analysis is used to determine
whether flywheel withstands under working conditions. Fatigue analysis is done for finding the life of the component.
Modal analysis is done to determine the number of mode shapes for flywheel.

This paper describes the design and fabrication of runner blades for cross flow turbine is presented. In this paper, the cross flow turbine's runner is designed to produce 100 W electric powers from head of 4 m and the flow rate of 0.004 m ^3 s. For the given capacity and head of the turbine, the dimensions of runner diameter and width 265 mm and 132 mm is obtained respectively. The detail design calculation of the runner is described in this thesis. It is applicable to wide range of flow rate adjusting the runner length. The term hydropower refers to shaft power generated by converting potential and kinetic energy of power. By using water power, the generation of electrical power is well known and widely used throughout the world. Abstract
A suspension system or shock absorber is a mechanical device designed to smooth out or damp shock impulse, and dissipate kinetic
energy. The shock absorbers duty is to absorb or dissipate energy. In a vehicle, it reduces the effect of traveling over rough ground,
leading to improved ride quality, and increase in comfort due to substantially reduced amplitude of disturbances. When a vehicle is
traveling on a level road and the wheels strike a bump, the spring is compressed quickly. The compressed spring will attempt to return
to its normal loaded length and, in so doing, will rebound past its normal height, causing the body to be lifted. The weight of the
vehicle will then push the spring down below its normal loaded height. This, in turn, causes the spring to rebound again. This
bouncing process is repeated over and over, a little less each time, until the up-and-down movement finally stops. If bouncing is
allowed to go uncontrolled, it will not only cause an uncomfortable ride but will make handling of the vehicle very difficult. The
design of spring in suspension system is very important. In this project a shock absorber is designed and a 3D model is created using
Pro/Engineer. The model is also changed by changing the thickness of the spring. Structural analysis and modal analysis are done on
the shock absorber by varying material for spring, Spring Steel and Beryllium Copper. The analysis is done by considering loads, bike
weight, single person and 2 persons. Structural analysis is done to validate the strength and modal analysis is done to determine the
displacements for different frequencies for number of modes. Comparison is done for two materials to verify best material for spring
in Shock absorber. Modeling is done in Pro/ENGINEER and analysis is done in ANSYS. Pro/ENGINEER is the standard in 3D
product design, featuring industry-leading productivity tools that promote best practices in design.ANSYS is general-purpose finite
element analysis (FEA) software package. Finite Element Analysis is a numerical method of deconstructing a complex system into
very small pieces (of user-designated size) called elements.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
