3 Ways Businesses Use Multimedia: Powerpoint Presentations Powerpoint has become de riguer in the work place due to its ease of use and simple system for creating the actual slides. With Powerpoint, images taken from the Web or from personal cameras can be merged with text and some graphic design essentials to create striking presentation that can be used in-house, with clients, or as presentations that are downloadable from the Internet. Due to its remarkably simple interface system, almost anyone can make a professional looking Powerpoint presentation that can convey information easily, and the inclusion of charts and graphs as well as multiple fonts and sizes to choose from for text makes it possible to make very original presentations. Multimedia skills necessary for Powerpoint presentations include graphic design, color coordination, photography, content generation and more. Good Powerpoint presentations can also be uploaded to company websites for view by site visitors.
Microsoft Windows, or simply Windows, is a metafamily of graphical operating systems developed, marketed, and sold by Microsoft. It consists of several families of operating systems, each of which cater to a certain sector of the computing industry with the OS typically associated with IBM PC compatible architecture. Active Windows families include Windows NT and Windows Embedded; these may encompass subfamilies, e.g. Windows Embedded Compact (Windows CE) or Windows Server. Defunct Windows families include Windows 9x, Windows Mobile and Windows Phone.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

1. What do you mean by Graphical User Interface?
GUI refers to icons and mouse functions. Before GUI, we could only type word
commands to open programs and manage files. MS-DOS is an example of a non-GUI
operating system.
2. What is the desktop?
Desktop refers to the main screen area of the Windows®
operating system from
Microsoft. It is the first screen you see after Windows has loaded.
3. What are the icons?
Small graphical images that can represent your computer's programs, files, folders, and
printers amongst other things.
4. Which one is the?
Taskbar is a bar located at the bottom of the screen that was first introduced
with Microsoft Windows 95 and found in all versions of Windows after that. The Taskbar
allows the user to locate and launch programs through the Start button, see any program
that is currently open, display the time or date, items running in the background through
the System tray, and with subsequent versions of the Windows operating system, the
Quick Launch.
5. Which one is the system tray?
The notification area is the portion of the taskbar that displays icons for system and
program features that have no presence on the desktop as well as the time and the volume
icon. It contains mainly icons that show status information, though some programs, such
as Winamp, use it for minimized windows. By default, this is located in the bottom-right of the
primary monitor. The notification area is commonly referred to as the system tray.

All the data on your hard drive consists of files and folders. The basic difference
between the two is that files store data, while folders store files and other folders. The
folders, often referred to as directories, are used to organize files on your computer.
The folders themselves take up virtually no space on the hard drive. Files, on the other
hand, can range from a few bytes to several gigabytes. They can be documents,
