Ideas To Write An Essay On Snow Leopards
For this science assignment, I have chosen to write about the snow leopard. The International Union
declared this animal endangered in 1972 for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources. It is
estimated that there are 4,510 to 7,350 snow leopard left in wild. The reason I decided to write about
this particular animal is that it is not a very recognise mammal in the world. There are not a lot of
people in the world that even know what a snow leopard is, and they would not be alone. Pantera
Uncia is the snow leopards binomial name, and many scientists feel that the name fits very well with
the actual animal. It is one of the largest cats in the world and is known by how unique it is. An
intriguing fact is that the animal does roar like other large cats. There are places in the world were
the natural condition is so harsh that nothing can survive, and things that do survive in these horrific
places receive almost mythical status, they become a legend. This is what many different cultures

Because of their slender and fit physics, the snow leopard is a very flexible and strong animal, with
very high stamina. It has been documented that they are capable of jumping over 9 meters. As
mentioned in the introduction the Pantera Uncia does not roar, the reason for this is of their small
vocal chords that makes them unable to produce that powerful sound like other large carnivore cats.
Nevertheless, do not think that they are not feared as the others. This animal does not make a sound,
absolute silence, like the moment before the storm hits. With its slender physic and small voice
Pantera Uncia is the ultimate hunter. Its prey will not see it coming before it is too late. Snow
leopards may not seem as strong cats, but do not let this fool you, their prey usually consist of
animals three times larger then

What Was Your Favorite Place?
Part I: Q: What was your favorite place to enjoy music in Detroit? Essay: It has always been a
personal goal of mine to go to as many shows as I possibly can every year. To fulfill this goal I have
sometimes force myself to go to shows I don 't even care about. Perfect example of this being
October 8th–the Volbeat/Five Finger Death Punch show at Compuware. I know this show is going
to be a mess when we pull up are waved away from the parking lot by a typical clueless security
guard sporting with a "FULL" sign placed next to him. What kind of band books a venue that doesn
't even have enough parking spots to accommodate? We park a mile down the street and start our
trek toward a building that looks like a place a middle school hockey team would play. I 'm not the
biggest fan of crowds or even new alternative music, but few things top my love for people
watching at rock shows. I have found that there are few places better than a rock show to people
watch–– The blue jeans, band t–shirts, sweat, the mosh pits. I wonder what these people do when
they 're not crowd surfing and drinking tall boys of Bud Light all night. I imagine that most of the
men that are here work at one of the big three car companies, like my step–dad, who is work–hard–
play–hard type of guy; a guy that is used to working 90 days at a time without a break working 12
hours a day. Bob wears a Black Label Society Label jacket, steel toe boots, and blue jeans–he fits
right in. Underneath his tough

History Of The Confederate Flag
Chase Jones
History of the confederate flag
In the past couple of year, there has been a controversial battle over the flying of the Confederate
Flag on government buildings. The controversy has really started to stir up in the southern states
such as South Carolina, Mississippi, and Georgia. On January 30, 2001, the state of Georgia
changed its flag, removing the large Confederate battle cross from the 1956 design and replacing it
with the state seal of Georgia. Now, the state of Mississippi is the only state that fearlessly displays
the Southern Cross in its state flag. Though several Southerners see the Confederate Flag as a
symbol of southern pride and heritage, many others see the flag as a dishonorable reminder of
slavery and segregation in the south. Although this flag is under great controversy in the southern
states, there is no reason why this flag should not be flown from government buildings because it
isn't demoralizing African Americans in the symbolization of slavery, segregation and domination
although it is used by many hate groups across the united states they too need a history lesson
because the confederate flag only started as a battle flag that some blacks fought under and held
with pride.
The Confederate Flag is a demoralizing symbol to many African Americans in the United States. To
a number of African Americans because they think this flag is a symbol of slavery and the
domination whites had over slaves during the time of the civil war. This flag is

Key Tips For Start Guitar Players
So you 're thinking about learning guitar? Maybe your in your first few days and can 't quite get
your fingers to reach all the strings at the same time. Perhaps you are having trouble getting the
rhythm you want. Well in this article I am going to give you a few key tips for beginning guitar
players that will hopefully help you. Playing guitar is something that most people would like to be
able to do. Just about everyone likes the sound and anyone who can play, instantly becomes popular
simply because of that. Now, there are some people who are naturally gifted musicians and can pick
up any instrument and learn it. However there is hope even for those of us who are not! Anyone can
learn guitar with a little bit of discipline and practice. Which is tip number one: Practice every day!
If you practice every day, even if only ten minutes, you will very soon see results. You 're fingers
will begin to get callused and not hurt when you play. They will become more limber and your
rhythm will improve as well. Keep in mind that no great musician started great. They had to learn
and practice hard into order to get to the level of playing skill that they have today. So don 't expect
to be there in your first week, or even first month. Tip number two is for learning rhythm. I have
found that the best way to do so is to pick just one simple song with a simple rhythm. Then practice
only that song until you have mastered the rhythm. It may take a little while and it may be
frustrating

almost nothing in 1982 where the delivery market was not in existence in many parts of the Untied

Movie Review : The War On Drugs
After an increasing interest for television series based on true stories, Netflix came out with their
own version of such a TV show. Narcos, a television show based around the life of drug kingpins of
the 1980s, suddenly hit the international audience after its style of shooting and storyline struck
interest among many. The show is set in Columbia and Netflix describes it as "The true story of
Colombia's infamously violent and powerful drug cartels fuels this gritty new gangster drama
series," (Netflix, 2015). So far two seasons have been released on Netflix which mainly emphasizes
the sudden rise and gradual downfall of Pablo Escobar's life and the Medellin Cartel, however the
coming seasons are set to portray the other drug cartels that carried on after Pablo Escobar was
killed.
The director José Padilha created the show in such a way that it truly brings out the American
perspective on the war on drugs in Columbia; one that has left a significant mark in Columbian
history. Padilha closely recreated the law enforcement's –Drug Enforcement Agency and the
Columbian police's – involvement in the war against Pablo Escobar and the Medellin Cartel,
through DEA agent Steve Murphy's (Boyd Holbrook) voice over narration in episodes. Moreover
the TV show is bilingual (with subtitles) made in a documentary styled footage (Pantera, 2015)
I want to begin with describing the first episode of the series and Jason Mittel's evaluation of the
pilot episode in complex television. Not many

Pop Culture And Technology Of The 1980s
The 1980s were the years of big change. Women became more independent and cared more about
their careers, music shaped the fashion industry, and computers altered the American lifestyle. The
"go–go eighties" caused a substantial revolution in fashion, entertainment, and technology. To fully
understand how the 1980s shaped America, one must review the details of fashion, entertainment,
and technology of the "go–go eighties."
The fashion of the 1980s was influenced by the expansion of technology allowing celebrities'
fashion to be shown across the world faster (1980s News, Events, popular Culture, and Prices).
According to the article, "1980s News, events, Popular Culture, and Prices," media such as
television shows and music videos enabled people to view what celebrities were wearing at a much
quicker pace rather than waiting for a magazine to come out. This caused individuals to easily go
out to the mall and acquire the newest trends (1980s News, Events, Popular Culture, and Prices). In
the article titled, "1980s News, Events, Popular Culture, and Prices," some of these trends included
big teased hair or spiral perms for women, mullets for men, oversized tops, ripped denim, and tight
exercise clothing; such as leg warmers and spandex. According to "The 1980s: American Pop
Culture History", flamboyant make–up, neon accessories; such as sunglasses, bangles and hoop
earrings were an essential part of the 1980s fashion as well. According to the article titled, "1980s

Mark Tremonti's Accomplishments
How does one define a great musician? Is it by what he/she does throughout his/her entire career? Is
it how well an artist can methodically, rhythmically, and creatively tell a story or portray a feeling?
Could it possibly even be how he/she impacts the lives of people that hear his/her work? What if it is
a combination of all of that and more? If there is anyone that fits the mould for this definition, one
could safely assume that Mr. Mark Tremonti does the job. This man has an understanding,
appreciation, ear, talent, and all around prowess for music that is so unbelievably rare that it is
truthfully something humanity is blessed with once or twice every generation if it is lucky. Mark

ultimateguitar.com, he had moved to South Carolina after high school to attend Clemson University
before moving back to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University, where he was reunited with
Stapp. Both were attending college there for their own respective degrees and were extremely into
the rock and roll sound. They would both participate in an "open mic night" that a local bar would
hold every week. Tremonti and Stapp would recognize each other while there and begin to kindle up
a close friendship and understanding for what they each wanted from their respective music careers.
The two would meet repeatedly to have jam sessions in Stapp's dorm room before they would
eventually decide to have auditions to form a band. After two months of searching, they would
finally have their band that would consist of Tremonti playing lead guitar, Scott Stapp taking front
and center as the lead vocalist, Brian Marshall as their bassist, and Scott Phillips on the drums. "We
ran through a couple different names for the band, one being Naked Toddler which as you could
imagine didn't go over well in the public eye before we actually narrowed it down and decided on
Creed," said Tremonti in an interview with Cryptic Rock News. The success that followed for the
next twelve years was something that caught the eye of everyone, including the "right" people. Soon
after Creed began to tour and play live shows, they were recognized by many different record labels
and signed with one that helped them release their first official and professionally mixed album in
1997, My Own Prison. The band soared and grew to amazing heights in the next seven years,

Mozart's Music: Post Hardcore Music
Post Hardcore Music Music influences just about everyone and can be found anywhere. Beethoven
was influenced by Mozart's music, Elvis was influenced by gospel, blues, country and white pop,
and Vic Fuentes was influenced by his dad. Cultures use music to communicate and to express
themselves. For example with African culture, they use music to represent their heritage, religious
practices, storytelling and dance. Post hardcore music helps connect people around the United States
and represent who they are. Post hardcore music developed from hardcore punk. In the mid to late
1980's bands such as Black Flag and Minor Threat started to make themselves known. Most of the
bands that considered themselves to be part of this genre were formed in the Eastern part of the
United States, a lot originating in Washington DC. Ryan Cooper states that the genre started "from
actual hardcore bands themselves." Many bands began to get bored with the constraints of hardcore
music and started to experiment with different sounds. Bands such as Naked Raygun were seen
merging post–punk influences, such as Wire, and hardcore according to author Steven Blush. As
post hardcore music continued growing, many bands decided to use a DIY ethic. This meant that

Nuclear Technology As A Solution For Constantly Growing...
Conclusion A number of factors contributed over the years to the notable reduction of the global
tendency to use nuclear technology as a solution for constantly growing energy needs. No doubt, the
disastrous psychological and economical effects of the three accidents – the Three Mile Island,
Chernobyl, and Fukushima are major factors. Another one is the lasting threat to the planet's natural
environment. Moreover, thousands were affected by and still physically and mentally suffer from
exposure radiation; the cost of vast evacuation and consecutive placement of hundreds of thousands
uprooted people and live stock involved millions of dollars and caused immeasurable stress and
hardships. It is hardly a surprise, then, that hundreds of millions worldwide expressed their strong
opinions opposing nuclear energy. Further, an ongoing disagreement among scientists and internal
governments about overall convenience of nuclear devices, led to the search and promotion of
alternative energy sources such as wind, solar, and bio fuels. Disasters never happen because of a
single factor. It usually involves a chain of unfortunate events on many levels of the system that
allowed the accident to happen: machinery malfunction, operator's mistake, unauthorized departure
from a standard procedure, communication failure, or design flaw. A delay or a total lack of public
information about the danger is common to all accidents. It also appears that the first responders
often are not timely

The History of Rock and Roll Essay
Rock and roll has developed a long way throughout the years from a dance craze in the 1950's to a

roots of teenage rebellion, people who don't follow the norms, and have disrespect for authority. The
style of rock and roll itself is a melting pot of music, a combination of sounds that include jazz,

The Grateful Dead fused country, blues, jazz, and bluegrass on electric instruments and held "acid
tests" where LSD was given to thousands of people and a concert was held all day. Janis Joplin was
also a major part of the psychedelic era. Blues also heavily influenced Janis, who greatly admired
the female blues singer Odetta (Kallen 65). Janis is most remembered for her heavily emotional
voice in songs such as "Piece of My Heart" and "Ball and Chain" where she sang with her face
contorted, sometimes stamping her feet, clutching the microphone with one hand, and a whiskey
bottle with the other. Of all the artists of the psychedelic era, Jimi Hendrix was the most influential.
Jimi took inspiration from the soulful guitar of blues players and developed his own style from it.
Jimi was left–handed and played his Stratocaster guitar upside down while creating unearthly
sounds that humbled other guitarists of the time. Hendrix was unknown until playing at the
Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 where he played an amazing array of songs and then lit his guitar on
fire at the end of the show (DeCurtis 133). Although Jimi seemed like a very wild and unpredictable
person on stage he was actually a focused musician, that part of Jimi's personality is explained in
this quote by Ernie Isley: "The best musicians are very observant. They hold their arms wide,
willing to embrace suggestions; they study their craft, and Jimi certainly did all that." (Lanham 102)

Bringing a car back from a decrepit state is gratifying, but being able to take it to the maximum level

Everyone adds their own unique touch to their ride. Devoting a lot of money, though, as with most
things, is the ticket to set you apart. These seven cars are so sinfully well done that we might as well

Is Nuclear Power Worth the Risk? Essay
Advantages and Disadvantages of Using Nuclear Energy
In the following, the benefits and drawbacks of generating electricity with the use of nuclear energy
will be discussed.
Advantages
Large amount of energy production
Nuclear power produces huge amount of energy through nuclear fission. 1 ton of uranium fuel,
which is used as a fuel in generating electricity, equals to 50,000 tons of fossil fuels for generating
the same amount of electricity. Since a small amount of nuclear fuel can produce a large amount of
energy, it is powerful and efficient.

For the average guitarist on a budget, or for those who are looking to get into learning how to play,

RG2EX1. Let's look a little deeper to see just what it has to offer. Features: The body of the
RG2EX1 is made of basswood, a common feature for lower end guitars. Though the price of the
wood in high quantities is relatively cheap, they generally make instruments with good resonance
and sound quality. There are two modern, sleek looking finishes available with the Ibanez RG2EX1,
including jet black and royal blue. The neck is bolted on the guitar, and made of three separate
pieces of maple wood. The fretboard, meanwhile, is made of rosewood. It has twenty four jumbo
frets with pearloid dot inlays. The bridge of the guitar, in an effort to keep price down, is fixed
instead of tremolo. This takes away your ability to do dive bombs or some other popular hard rock
maneuvers, but it effectively keeps the strings in position and tune. All of the hardware, including
the tuning heads, bridge, and selector switch , is metal and painted to match the finish.

Media Literacy and Media Influence
In today's world media literacy has become a very important commodity among our digitally
connected society. With so many users connected to social media mediums such as Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram etc. it is very important that people understand how to properly analyze, evaluate,
and interpret media as well as develop the ability to create media. This, in essence, is what media
literacy is about and with so many different sources of information streaming through our daily lives
all at once, being media literate can not only help us discern actual facts from fiction, but it helps us
better understand some of the complex messages we receive from these sources. Throughout this
essay I will discuss my media literacy by talking about different media products and how they have
impacted and helped shape my life as well as the culture of our society. The first product in this
essay and the first product to ever influence me was the numerous Spider–Man comic books from
Marvel publishing. The very first comic books that I encountered in my life came in a two pack at
Walmart and contained the 30th anniversary issue of The Amazing Spider–Man and Spider–Man:
Maximum Carnage issue 13. Of course, when I first received these comics, I was only infatuated
with the pictures but after reading these comics and collecting a few more, I became entranced and
inspired by the tales

De Tomaso Pantera The Value Priced Supercar From Ford
De Tomaso Pantera the Value Priced Supercar from Ford
Review the Exceptional Value of a 1970s De Tomaso Pantera
Do you know the Italian word for panther? That 's right, it 's Pantera. And this is a great place to
start. The De Tomaso Pantera that launched in 1971 provided an Americanized version of an Italian
styled supercar.
You didn 't have to go to Maranello Italy to get one, because Ford made the car available at your
local Lincoln Mercury dealer. With a sticker price of around $10,000 in 1971, it 's curious that the
automobile wasn 't a complete success.
Here we 'll talk about one of the most misunderstood sports cars from the early 1970s. Learn about
the trials and tribulations of owning one. Uncover what these cars are worth ... Show more content

Therefore, they would sell the Pantera under the sign of the cat. Just in case you don't remember, the
Lincoln Mercury dealer network used a cougar as a mascot in the 70s. This was a perfect fit with the
Italian panther moniker.
Pantera Problems and Solutions
Elvis Presley owned a 1974 bright Yellow Pantera. It 's said, [he opened fire on the automobile]
when it refused to start at his Memphis, Tennessee, home. The reasons behind the multiple issues
surrounding the first full production Panteras are attributed to a rush to production.
The sports car went from an idea on paper to cars rolling off the assembly line in less than a year.
Airflow was a big shortcoming in these sports cars. The engine overheated easily due to an
undersized radiator with poor airflow across its core.
Airflow was also an issue for the interior cabin. Drivers and passengers complained about
oppressive temperatures in the tight interior cabin. This issue was amplified when the engine began
to overheat. Owner's also complained about driver comfort.
The intrusion of the left front wheel well into the foot area made the car difficult to drive. This is
especially true if you have large feet. Jay Leno owns a 1971 Pantera. He's on record of saying he has
to take his shoes off to drive the car.
All Panteras came with Ford 's ZF manual transmission. It utilized an Italian style gated shifter that
looked better than it operated. Although the ZF five–speed is considered durable and reliable,

The Not-So-Virgin Birth Of God
The Not–So–Virgin Birth of God by Mitchell Mallary
The Christian faith has truly never been freed from its bondage to Gnostic chains. Today we see
Gnosticism's manifestation in our dismal eschatology – rather than adopting the early Church's hope
for "the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come," the masses aspire to an ethereal
bliss in a heavenly beyond.
This misguided eschatology is merely a new form of an old Gnostic influence that has perennially
plagued Christian theology. The Church Fathers had to fight against Docetism – the heretical belief
that Christ only appeared to be human, but was in fact merely a spirit or celestial being. Along with
Arianism and Nestorianism, these three heretical doctrines constituted ... Show more content on

For if we hold the conviction that the Bible's claims can only be true if they are in accord with
history and science, then something other than the Bible is the final authority – the Enlightenment's
invention of modern historical and scientific analysis.
A Christological Rethinking of the Virgin Birth
Even if there is a theo–political basis for claiming Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, this does not
mean that it is necessarily wrong. As mentioned above, it's even attested to in the Nicene Creed. But
what if there were a Christological reason for calling the virgin birth into question?
On the one hand, virgin birth theology has often served as a helpful explanatory tool for adherents to
what is commonly called "two–nature" Christology – the idea that Jesus was both fully God and
fully human. In a way (though I've always thought it bore the stench of Nestorianism), it allowed
theologians the explanatory power to say how it was that the one person of Jesus was constituted by
two separate natures – divine and human. But in the early Church's battle to stave off Arianism and
those who rejected the full divinity of Christ, virgin birth theology was a crucial

The History of Rock and Roll Essay
Rock and roll has developed a long way throughout the years from a dance craze in the 1950's to a
political and cultural landscape that is recognized worldwide. Rock and roll has come to define the
roots of teenage rebellion, people who don't follow the norms, and have disrespect for authority. The
style of rock and roll itself is a melting pot of music, a combination of sounds that include jazz,
country, blues, ragtime, gospel, swing, classical, and ethnic music. It can be a simple variation of
three chords to a complex chromatic scale combination. It can convey emotions such as love, hate,
fear, lust, sadness, joy, disillusion, or a strong sense of reality. Many things can be said about rock
but the fact is that it is the most widely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other artists such as Jerry Lee Lewis capitalized on the sound of Elvis but did not achieve the
designated place in history. From the sounds of Elvis many other important bands of the sixties were
inspired, even people a thousand miles away from America. One of these important bands was the
Beatles. The Beatles took the rock sound and added more lyrical and musical complexity to the
sound. The Beatles were the starters of the "British Invasion" in 1963 when they released "I want to
Hold Your Hand" (Kallen, 2012, 31). After their first single they had immense success with other
hits such as "She Loves You" and "Woooo!" The Beatles continued to reinvent their music on the
various other albums throughout the sixties delving into complex, heavy existential concepts and
psychedelic elements, becoming the most relevant influence for modern rock. The Rolling Stones
were the second most successful band of the British invasion and dived into the mainstream with
their hit "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction." The Rolling Stones had a more aggressive style with loud
guitar tones and driving rhythms. And while The Beatles touched on more clean–cut topics, the
Stones shocked people with songs about casual drug use and careless sex. Other influential bands of
the British Invasion include The Who, Cream, and The Kinks who are now some of rocks greatest
legends. At the end

Prostitution And Virtue In Columbus: An Analysis
"Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the
desires of the flesh." (Romans 13:14 NIV) There are some days it just doesn't pay to see what the
world is up too. BUt like a car wreck, even though you know you shouldn't, you just can't help
peeking. This past Saturday Morning I opened up the newspaper to see an article about a big
prostitution sting in Columbus. As a long time advocate of Gracehaven, a ministry in Columbus
dedicated to getting women out of the a life of prostitution and slavery, I was glad to see this.
Unfortunately my gladness turned quickly to dismay when I saw this picture on the front page of

It's another to allow Jesus to truly change who we are underneath. Why? Because we have become
comfortable with our routine. It doesn't demand a lot from us. Look one way, be another. We don't
like change and naturally dig our heels in when it occurs. We sense that there might be sacrifice
involved. maybe even some pain as Jesus sets about the serious work of transformation. Maybe it's
time we have someone stand up and shout, if not "The Emperor has no clothes" than certainly "the
clothes and the heart don't match." We need to stop accepting that this is an appropriate way to live.
As if God is somehow pleased with us putting on clean clothes over a stained spirit. We need to be
changed. This is why Paul encourages us to "put on Jesus Christ" The theme of our clothing
ourselves with Jesus runs throughout Paul's writings. It occurs several times. I can understand why
Paul loved this imagery. Paul calls us to wrap ourselves up in Jesus. To allow Jesus to drape himself
over everything that we are. That's different than clothing oneself with religion. It means to clothe
yourself in a relationship with Jesus. to allow that relationship to permeate everything that we are.
Maybe its time we take Paul's words to heart. Let's stop playing games. Let's clothe ourselves with
Jesus and be changed so that what we wear and our heart finally

Why Eddie Van Halen is an Influential Musician Essay
There are certain musicians that come along that shift a culture, attitude, or future musicians.
Another musician that went on influence future generations and considered one of the greatest guitar
players in the world is Eddie Van Halen. Eddie Van Halen was born in Holland in 1955 and
immigrated to Pasadena California. At the age of seven, Eddie was training as a classical pianist,
although his love for Rock and Roll was developing. He started working a paper route and used the
money to buy a drum set. His brother Alex, also musically inclined, bought a guitar. After months of
practicing, Alex and Eddie switched instruments. Alex would spend hours on Eddie's drums and
loved to play them. Eddie, a little frustrated with the drums, ... Show more content on

A little later, Eddie heard Michael Anthony on the bass and thought that he was perfect for their
band. Still, something was missing; Alex thought they needed a front man. He suggested that they
let David Lee Roth be the front man, mainly to save the rent money on the PA system. David Lee
came on board and thought the brother's last name sounded cool, and the rock group "Van Halen"
was born. On one particular show, Gene Simmons from Kiss caught Van Halen at the local gig. He
offered to help them out. Gene Simmons flew Van Halen to New York to tape a demo and
introduced them to the Kiss production management. They had no interest in Van Halen citing that
there was no commercial value to Van Halen, so the band went back to their local gigs in California.
During a show in Hollywood, Warner Brothers records representative Ted Templeman saw their act
and signed them less than a week later for a record deal with the Warner brother's label. They
headed out on the road immediately and caught up with Warner Brothers headliners to open their
shows. The other groups were not very pleased with the band, especially when Van Halen started
getting better reviews. Van Halen was then off to England to open for another band that Eddie
idolized, Black Sabbath. Ozzie was so impressed with the band that he admitted that Van Halen was
outplaying Sabbath. At least that is what Ozzie said according to the Van Halen camp.
Van Halen went on to record 26 albums in their career with

Personal Essay: If I Listen To Country Music
The thing that helped shape me as a person would be music. I listen to many different genres of
music like country, rap, and rock. Country and rock are the main two types of music that I listen to.
I've been around many different types of music as I have grown up. When I was little, all I would
listen to would be country. I lived with my grandparents for the first three years of my life. They
would only listen to country music because that was the only thing they liked and that's what they
grew up listening to. My dad even listens to country music, that's about the only thing he listens to
also. To this day I still listen to country music. I like mostly the older country music, but there are
some new artists that I like. I began to listen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

music I would be a pretty boring person. I listen to it whenever I need some pump up music or I
listen to it whenever i'm in a bad mood. Rock music, especially Metallica inspired me to learn how
to play guitar. Over the years I've started to listen to many different rock bands. Most of the bands I
listen to would be Metallica of course, Pantera, Ozzy Osbourne, and Guns and Roses. Those bands
have some of my greatest idols in them. The two people that inspired me the most would be James
Hetfield and Kirk Hammett from Metallica. They are my inspiration, some others would be Zakk
Wylde, Dimebag Darrell, and Slash. Those guys are all amazing at playing guitar. To sum most of
this all up, music is what made me the person I am today. Artists like George Strait, Chris Young,
Gary Allen, and Billy Currington are some of my most favorite country singers. Country music
played a big role in my life when I was really little because I could hear some older songs and they
would bring back memories when I lived with my grandparents or when I was

The Pros and Cons of Nuclear Energy
Many people take energy for granted. Most do not think about where that electricity is coming from
when they flip a switch or turn on a faucet. The fact is, is that our consumption of non–renewable
energy cannot last forever. We need some type of alternative energy source. There are many types of
alternative energy sources that are available to us today. Some however, such as nuclear energy, are
often rejected due to the fears or concerns of many people. On the other hand, there are also many
people in favor of nuclear energy. What it is that nuclear energy has to offer us? What could the
effects of nuclear energy have on the future of Earth? What could it mean for people on Earth? What
exactly is nuclear energy and how does it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The use of renewable energies such as wind, solar, tidal, or geothermal power are not always
reliable, can be very expensive, and can be difficult to harness. A dry spell of wind or a cloudy, cold,
snowy winter could cause these types of energy to be useless to us. Other times we might get an
abundance of wind or sun, but how do we harness this for later use? Many think the answer is
simply storing the energy in batteries but this is a very uneconomical option. The size and amounts
of batteries and renewable energy plants needed to do this would be outrageous and quite frankly,
impossible (Lowe, 16). Take a large city for example. Running a city on renewable energy would be
problematic, especially during peak operating hours like mornings and at nights after work. Power
would not always be reliable because obviously it is not always windy or sunny and grid wide
power outages would make a lot of unhappy people. What would hospitals, police stations, or other
services that need to be open 24 hours a day do with such blackouts? If these blackouts occur just a
few times, imagine the chaos that would ensue (Lowe, 18). People get angry when the power or
internet is not working right for a few minutes. Imagine the problems that would ensue from
blackouts that occur daily when people are making dinner or getting ready

Nuclear Power Should be a Critical Component in a Strategy...
Nuclear power should not be dismissed and must be included as a major component of an alternative
energy source to replace fossil fuels as it has the greatest potential to be the primary energy source
in the future which can work together with other alternative renewable energy sources to combat
global warming and to help meet the world's growing energy demand
Nuclear energy, which has historically been depicted as a dangerous and evil energy source, has
recently seen renewed attention as an alternative form of energy and has been rehabilitated in the
eyes of the public after rising concerns regarding global warming and a rise in the demand of energy
(World Nuclear Association 2011). However, due to the March 2011 Fukushima accident, ... Show

Furthermore, the lack of containment barriers is explained by Morris (2000, pp.25), as one reason
why western countries would never allow a reactor similar to Chernobyl's to be built in their
countries. In addition, Chernobyl was similar to Fukushima in that this tragedy demonstrates the
failure of government planners, not an inherent danger of nuclear power (Morris 2000, pp.27).
Moore (2006) also argues that the Three Mile Island accident, which occurred 7 years before the one
at Chernobyl, "was actually a success story", as although the reactor was damaged, it caused no
harm to the nearby population because the reactor was well contained with a concrete containment
structure. In addition, McCarthy (1995), states that "nuclear energy has an exceptionally good safety
record" and Chernobyl was the only accident with fatalities.
A second argument against nuclear power is that it is not a clean energy source since nuclear energy
produces radioactive waste that remains dangerous for hundreds of thousands of years and poses a
threat to human health that can lead to cancer deaths, and an environmental–friendly solution to
manage nuclear waste has not been found (Public Citizen, n.d). In addition, Mark Diesendorf
(2007), one of the renewable energy proponents in Australia, argues that there are not enough
facilities to store high–level nuclear waste in the world. Diesendorf (2007) goes on to contend that
the solution

Ideas To Write An Essay On Snow Leopards

  • 1. Ideas To Write An Essay On Snow Leopards For this science assignment, I have chosen to write about the snow leopard. The International Union declared this animal endangered in 1972 for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources. It is estimated that there are 4,510 to 7,350 snow leopard left in wild. The reason I decided to write about this particular animal is that it is not a very recognise mammal in the world. There are not a lot of people in the world that even know what a snow leopard is, and they would not be alone. Pantera Uncia is the snow leopards binomial name, and many scientists feel that the name fits very well with the actual animal. It is one of the largest cats in the world and is known by how unique it is. An intriguing fact is that the animal does roar like other large cats. There are places in the world were the natural condition is so harsh that nothing can survive, and things that do survive in these horrific places receive almost mythical status, they become a legend. This is what many different cultures say ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because of their slender and fit physics, the snow leopard is a very flexible and strong animal, with very high stamina. It has been documented that they are capable of jumping over 9 meters. As mentioned in the introduction the Pantera Uncia does not roar, the reason for this is of their small vocal chords that makes them unable to produce that powerful sound like other large carnivore cats. Nevertheless, do not think that they are not feared as the others. This animal does not make a sound, absolute silence, like the moment before the storm hits. With its slender physic and small voice Pantera Uncia is the ultimate hunter. Its prey will not see it coming before it is too late. Snow leopards may not seem as strong cats, but do not let this fool you, their prey usually consist of animals three times larger then ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. What Was Your Favorite Place? Part I: Q: What was your favorite place to enjoy music in Detroit? Essay: It has always been a personal goal of mine to go to as many shows as I possibly can every year. To fulfill this goal I have sometimes force myself to go to shows I don 't even care about. Perfect example of this being October 8th–the Volbeat/Five Finger Death Punch show at Compuware. I know this show is going to be a mess when we pull up are waved away from the parking lot by a typical clueless security guard sporting with a "FULL" sign placed next to him. What kind of band books a venue that doesn 't even have enough parking spots to accommodate? We park a mile down the street and start our trek toward a building that looks like a place a middle school hockey team would play. I 'm not the biggest fan of crowds or even new alternative music, but few things top my love for people watching at rock shows. I have found that there are few places better than a rock show to people watch–– The blue jeans, band t–shirts, sweat, the mosh pits. I wonder what these people do when they 're not crowd surfing and drinking tall boys of Bud Light all night. I imagine that most of the men that are here work at one of the big three car companies, like my step–dad, who is work–hard– play–hard type of guy; a guy that is used to working 90 days at a time without a break working 12 hours a day. Bob wears a Black Label Society Label jacket, steel toe boots, and blue jeans–he fits right in. Underneath his tough ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. History Of The Confederate Flag Chase Jones History of the confederate flag In the past couple of year, there has been a controversial battle over the flying of the Confederate Flag on government buildings. The controversy has really started to stir up in the southern states such as South Carolina, Mississippi, and Georgia. On January 30, 2001, the state of Georgia changed its flag, removing the large Confederate battle cross from the 1956 design and replacing it with the state seal of Georgia. Now, the state of Mississippi is the only state that fearlessly displays the Southern Cross in its state flag. Though several Southerners see the Confederate Flag as a symbol of southern pride and heritage, many others see the flag as a dishonorable reminder of slavery and segregation in the south. Although this flag is under great controversy in the southern states, there is no reason why this flag should not be flown from government buildings because it isn't demoralizing African Americans in the symbolization of slavery, segregation and domination although it is used by many hate groups across the united states they too need a history lesson because the confederate flag only started as a battle flag that some blacks fought under and held with pride. The Confederate Flag is a demoralizing symbol to many African Americans in the United States. To a number of African Americans because they think this flag is a symbol of slavery and the domination whites had over slaves during the time of the civil war. This flag is ... • 7. Key Tips For Start Guitar Players So you 're thinking about learning guitar? Maybe your in your first few days and can 't quite get your fingers to reach all the strings at the same time. Perhaps you are having trouble getting the rhythm you want. Well in this article I am going to give you a few key tips for beginning guitar players that will hopefully help you. Playing guitar is something that most people would like to be able to do. Just about everyone likes the sound and anyone who can play, instantly becomes popular simply because of that. Now, there are some people who are naturally gifted musicians and can pick up any instrument and learn it. However there is hope even for those of us who are not! Anyone can learn guitar with a little bit of discipline and practice. Which is tip number one: Practice every day! If you practice every day, even if only ten minutes, you will very soon see results. You 're fingers will begin to get callused and not hurt when you play. They will become more limber and your rhythm will improve as well. Keep in mind that no great musician started great. They had to learn and practice hard into order to get to the level of playing skill that they have today. So don 't expect to be there in your first week, or even first month. Tip number two is for learning rhythm. I have found that the best way to do so is to pick just one simple song with a simple rhythm. Then practice only that song until you have mastered the rhythm. It may take a little while and it may be frustrating ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Movie Review : The War On Drugs After an increasing interest for television series based on true stories, Netflix came out with their own version of such a TV show. Narcos, a television show based around the life of drug kingpins of the 1980s, suddenly hit the international audience after its style of shooting and storyline struck interest among many. The show is set in Columbia and Netflix describes it as "The true story of Colombia's infamously violent and powerful drug cartels fuels this gritty new gangster drama series," (Netflix, 2015). So far two seasons have been released on Netflix which mainly emphasizes the sudden rise and gradual downfall of Pablo Escobar's life and the Medellin Cartel, however the coming seasons are set to portray the other drug cartels that carried on after Pablo Escobar was killed. The director José Padilha created the show in such a way that it truly brings out the American perspective on the war on drugs in Columbia; one that has left a significant mark in Columbian history. Padilha closely recreated the law enforcement's –Drug Enforcement Agency and the Columbian police's – involvement in the war against Pablo Escobar and the Medellin Cartel, through DEA agent Steve Murphy's (Boyd Holbrook) voice over narration in episodes. Moreover the TV show is bilingual (with subtitles) made in a documentary styled footage (Pantera, 2015) I want to begin with describing the first episode of the series and Jason Mittel's evaluation of the pilot episode in complex television. Is it how well an artist can methodically, rhythmically, and creatively tell a story or portray a feeling? Could it possibly even be how he/she impacts the lives of people that hear his/her work? What if it is a combination of all of that and more? If there is anyone that fits the mould for this definition, one could safely assume that Mr. Mark Tremonti does the job. According to an interview with Tremonti conducted by ultimateguitar.com, he had moved to South Carolina after high school to attend Clemson University before moving back to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University, where he was reunited with Stapp. Both were attending college there for their own respective degrees and were extremely into the rock and roll sound. They would both participate in an "open mic night" that a local bar would hold every week. Tremonti and Stapp would recognize each other while there and begin to kindle up a close friendship and understanding for what they each wanted from their respective music careers. The two would meet repeatedly to have jam sessions in Stapp's dorm room before they would eventually decide to have auditions to form a band. After two months of searching, they would finally have their band that would consist of Tremonti playing lead guitar, Scott Stapp taking front and center as the lead vocalist, Brian Marshall as their bassist, and Scott Phillips on the drums. "We ran through a couple different names for the band, one being Naked Toddler which as you could imagine didn't go over well in the public eye before we actually narrowed it down and decided on Creed," said Tremonti in an interview with Cryptic Rock News. The success that followed for the next twelve years was something that caught the eye of everyone, including the "right" people. Soon after Creed began to tour and play live shows, they were recognized by many different record labels and signed with one that helped them release their first official and professionally mixed album in 1997, My Own Prison. • 18. Mozart's Music: Post Hardcore Music Post Hardcore Music Music influences just about everyone and can be found anywhere. Beethoven was influenced by Mozart's music, Elvis was influenced by gospel, blues, country and white pop, and Vic Fuentes was influenced by his dad. Cultures use music to communicate and to express themselves. For example with African culture, they use music to represent their heritage, religious practices, storytelling and dance. Post hardcore music helps connect people around the United States and represent who they are. Post hardcore music developed from hardcore punk. In the mid to late 1980's bands such as Black Flag and Minor Threat started to make themselves known. Most of the bands that considered themselves to be part of this genre were formed in the Eastern part of the United States, a lot originating in Washington DC. Ryan Cooper states that the genre started "from actual hardcore bands themselves." Many bands began to get bored with the constraints of hardcore music and started to experiment with different sounds. Bands such as Naked Raygun were seen merging post–punk influences, such as Wire, and hardcore according to author Steven Blush. • 20. Nuclear Technology As A Solution For Constantly Growing... Conclusion A number of factors contributed over the years to the notable reduction of the global tendency to use nuclear technology as a solution for constantly growing energy needs. No doubt, the disastrous psychological and economical effects of the three accidents – the Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukushima are major factors. Another one is the lasting threat to the planet's natural environment. Moreover, thousands were affected by and still physically and mentally suffer from exposure radiation; the cost of vast evacuation and consecutive placement of hundreds of thousands uprooted people and live stock involved millions of dollars and caused immeasurable stress and hardships. It is hardly a surprise, then, that hundreds of millions worldwide expressed their strong opinions opposing nuclear energy. Further, an ongoing disagreement among scientists and internal governments about overall convenience of nuclear devices, led to the search and promotion of alternative energy sources such as wind, solar, and bio fuels. Disasters never happen because of a single factor. It usually involves a chain of unfortunate events on many levels of the system that allowed the accident to happen: machinery malfunction, operator's mistake, unauthorized departure from a standard procedure, communication failure, or design flaw. A delay or a total lack of public information about the danger is common to all accidents. It also appears that the first responders often are not timely ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Grateful Dead fused country, blues, jazz, and bluegrass on electric instruments and held "acid tests" where LSD was given to thousands of people and a concert was held all day. Janis Joplin was also a major part of the psychedelic era. Blues also heavily influenced Janis, who greatly admired the female blues singer Odetta (Kallen 65). Janis is most remembered for her heavily emotional voice in songs such as "Piece of My Heart" and "Ball and Chain" where she sang with her face contorted, sometimes stamping her feet, clutching the microphone with one hand, and a whiskey bottle with the other. Of all the artists of the psychedelic era, Jimi Hendrix was the most influential. Jimi took inspiration from the soulful guitar of blues players and developed his own style from it. Jimi was left–handed and played his Stratocaster guitar upside down while creating unearthly sounds that humbled other guitarists of the time. Hendrix was unknown until playing at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 where he played an amazing array of songs and then lit his guitar on fire at the end of the show (DeCurtis 133). Although Jimi seemed like a very wild and unpredictable person on stage he was actually a focused musician, that part of Jimi's personality is explained in this quote by Ernie Isley: "The best musicians are very observant. Today we see Gnosticism's manifestation in our dismal eschatology – rather than adopting the early Church's hope for "the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come," the masses aspire to an ethereal bliss in a heavenly beyond. This misguided eschatology is merely a new form of an old Gnostic influence that has perennially plagued Christian theology. The Church Fathers had to fight against Docetism – the heretical belief that Christ only appeared to be human, but was in fact merely a spirit or celestial being. As mentioned above, it's even attested to in the Nicene Creed. But what if there were a Christological reason for calling the virgin birth into question? On the one hand, virgin birth theology has often served as a helpful explanatory tool for adherents to what is commonly called "two–nature" Christology – the idea that Jesus was both fully God and fully human. In a way (though I've always thought it bore the stench of Nestorianism), it allowed theologians the explanatory power to say how it was that the one person of Jesus was constituted by two separate natures – divine and human. Other times we might get an abundance of wind or sun, but how do we harness this for later use? Many think the answer is simply storing the energy in batteries but this is a very uneconomical option. The size and amounts of batteries and renewable energy plants needed to do this would be outrageous and quite frankly, impossible (Lowe, 16). Take a large city for example. Running a city on renewable energy would be problematic, especially during peak operating hours like mornings and at nights after work. Moore (2006) also argues that the Three Mile Island accident, which occurred 7 years before the one at Chernobyl, "was actually a success story", as although the reactor was damaged, it caused no harm to the nearby population because the reactor was well contained with a concrete containment structure. In addition, McCarthy (1995), states that "nuclear energy has an exceptionally good safety record" and Chernobyl was the only accident with fatalities. A second argument against nuclear power is that it is not a clean energy source since nuclear energy produces radioactive waste that remains dangerous for hundreds of thousands of years and poses a threat to human health that can lead to cancer deaths, and an environmental–friendly solution to manage nuclear waste has not been found (Public Citizen, n.d).
