years of discretion and sound mind. This first definition given in the text seems to be the most cut and
dry and one that most would identify with except it stating that suicide is typically done by an older
person. While statistically the elderly take their lives more often I feel that the most important part of
this definition is sound mind . Many people who take their own lives are not of sound mind so by this

a very powerful definition that I feel gives the blame to society when someone commits suicide. If
