I have been on many road trips in my life. For as long as I can remember, summer
vacation was piling in the car and driving across the country, setting up camp
wherever we went. I would watch my mom in the weeks and months before it,

Although the title of this book strikes the reader as unusual it begins to make
complete sense once it is read. This book is a series of short essays by Darnton.
The second section, which is titled Workers Revolt: The great Cat Massacre of the
Rue Saint SГ©rverin brings the reader directly into the views of the working class
during the 1700s in France. This style of writing allows situations to be viewed
through the lens of those who are experiencing it, making for a more interesting
read. The context of this portion of the book truly gives an in depth account of the
emotions and conditions that peasants would meet with while being treated as
inferior to even the animals by the masters. It can be said that Darnton included this
portion of the book to show the customs of the French during this time as well as to

The concept of sustainability is becoming an ever more relevant and popular
ideology today. Many college campuses take great pride in their sustainability, they
take many steps to ensure that their garbage output, water usage and other various
items are sustainable or working towards that goal. In areas outside of the college
camps setting however, sustainabilityis often hard to reach due to a wide array of
concepts, including deep ecologyand environmental pragmatism. I believe the two
key points (of the 8) behind deep ecology is that humans have no right to reduce the

experimentally investigated. The effect of different gate sill heights on contraction

energy dissipation, and velocity distribution with different hydraulic parameters were
analyzed and graphically presented. A combination of dimensional and regression
analysis tools was employed to develop reliable formulas for estimating the studied
