Abstract Abnormal respiratory rate is considered to be a important predictor of conditions like cardiac
arrest, tachypnea and hypervolemia. Estimating respiration rate of an individual using non invasive
techniques such as by using Photoplethysmogram (PPG) and Electrocardiogram(ECG) have been
widely discussed and several methods have been proposed to extract respiratory rate information from
these signals. However, maintaining a high degree of accuracy in measuring respiratory rate has been
a problem. This paper uses Autoregressive Modeling (AR) technique and digital filters to estimate
respiratory rate from the PPG signal revealing that this technique has better results in term of accuracy
and computational efficiency.

line within the piece directs the viewer s eye to the buffalo dancer, emphasizing his importance to the

effectively challenges pre conceived stereotypes. This can be seen through the traditional beads and
headdress the man is wearing, however, Scholder challenges stereotypes of Native Americans with the

depolarization of the lipid membrane they enable generation and propagation of the action potential.
The involvement of these channels in numerous pathological conditions makes them relevant target
for pharmaceutical intervention. Therefore, modulation of sodium conductance via small molecule
binding constitutes a promising strategy to treat a large variety of diseases. However, this approach
entails significant challenges: voltage gated sodium channels are complex nanomachines and the

In Tina Fey s memoir of her life, Bossypants, she provides many examples of challenging the ideas of
femininity in today s modern society. This is important because it shows younger women that despite

about the struggles that she ran into during her position as a female writer in Saturday Night Live and
