Homeless End Of The Day Analysis
I would consider my self to be some where in between a liberal and a conservative in this issue of the
homeless. I think that although some of the homeless decisions contribute to the reasons of why they
are homeless, they deserve the help and support. No one is perfect, and I think these people should not
be judged by mistakes they made or by their living situation. The homeless at the end of the day are
also human beings that should be treated equally as others. The article is very sad to read since it is the
reality of what some people actually go through and are still going through at the moment. Its also
amusing how they were all willing to open up to complete strangers about their personal lives. Like
what drove these homeless people

Victorian Era Woman
Woman In The Victorian Era
The victorian Era lasted through 1837 1890s. The era gave woman little power and opportunities in
life while men were looked at as having the most control. Fashion choices determined a person s
social status and politics were strictly powered by men. There were many influences during the time
period that blocked off woman from being equal to others with higher status or wealth. Events
throughout the Victorian era placed restrictions on women and the lower class citizens. The way
people dressed and acted determined their class and wealth which connects to today s expectations of
how a person should look and how they treat others. Social status and employment were based off of
the wealth of a family and the success ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The women with more money and success in their lives owned more clothing with better fabric and
embellishments which created expensive garments to buy (Monet, Dolores). Wealth was a big part in
fashion and the more detailing and better fabric gave others the impression of a family s income.
Many who wore makeup, had the money to buy it and wear to make their appearance stand out from
other women that cannot afford cosmetics. Many styles were invented in this era such as hair crimping
in the 1870s. Clothing styles were dictated by propriety, and stylish garments were a sign of
respectability (Monet, Dolores). The Victorian era was big on being proper as said in the quote, many
who broke this dictation were looked at as disrespectful. In the 19th Century bonnets, bell shaped
ruffles, and ¾ sleeves were very popular. Many wore their hair long or in a bun with curls. Woman of
a higher social class were expected to demure and indolent as reflected by the restrictive dropped
shoulder lines and corsets (Monet, Dolores). Fashion choices provided the characteristics traits of how
women needed to act to be respected in that era. Corsets were worn to give girls a structured figure to
wear with clothing. The corset was very popular even though it was rather uncomfortable, many who
wore corsets were looked at as part of the high social class, being respected, and having a glorified

Essay about Nuclear Energy
When most people think of a nuclear threat, they think of a nuclear attack from a
foreign nation. In reality, the largest nuclear threat comes not from foreign attack, but
from a much closer enemy: nuclear power. Nuclear power is very dangerous, and should
be done away with.
The nuclear age dawned in 1945, when the United States dropped atomic bombs
on two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The bombing had at least two effects:
the Japanese surrender, bringing World War II to a swift end; and many people in the
United States, especially scientists and officials involved in the development of atomic
bombs, were awed, frightened and filled with guilt over the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Many
people see the existing form of nuclear power as unsafe technology with a potential for
catastrophe. There have been multiple examples of this throughout the history of nuclear
power including the Browns Ferry, Three Mile Island, and Chernobyl incidents.
A serious incident occurred at a nuclear power plant in 1975 as a result of a fire
started by a candle. On March 22, 1975, two large reactors at Browns Ferry, Alabama
were operating and generating 2,200 megawatts of electricity. Beneath the plant s control
center, electricians were trying to seal air leaks among the complex array of electrical
cables that made up the electrical system of the two reactors.(Stephens 15)
The leaks were being sealed by stuffing strips of polyurethane foam among the
cables. To test for air leaks, the electricians held a lighted candle near the plastic foam to
see whether the flame flickered. Some of the foam caught on fire. Three chemical
extinguishers failed to put it out. After fifteen minutes a fire alarm sounded. Meanwhile,
the fire was spreading and destroying cables that affect the plant s electrical systems
including the reactor s Emergency Core Cooling System. A small pump had to be used to
keep the fuel core covered with water to prevent a meltdown.(Stephens 17 19)

Home Schooling Is An Amazing Experience This Year
Home schooling has been an amazing experience this year. 1It has helped me grow in my faith and in
my knowledge of the Bible. I have so much more knowledge dealing with the Bible and I am now so
much closer to God than I have ever been in my life up to this point. 2I have been more energized and
excited to learn, my entire personality has taken a huge turn for the better. I am now an outgoing,
bubbly girl ready to learn, that s from the inside out from the light of Jesus.3 Also, I have been able to
learn much more than I than I would have in a year of public school in one home school year! I have
done an extra semester in my math, I have also been on so many school trips that are all for school.
4There have been so many benefits for my family as well. We have all grown so much closer and we
actually get to see each other. Another huge benefit, I have noticed, of being home schooled is, 5I don
t have to worry about getting vulgar, ungodly, lessons that put down Christianity and God all day,
every day and I don t have to deal with all the horrible vulgarity from students and teachers alike. I
have grown in my faith, and knowledge; I have grown closer to God, family, and friends. I have
gained so much knowledge about God and his word since starting home schooling in early September.
Reading the Bible has become one of the subjects I am required to do every day and it has become my
absolute favorite. I have read the entire book of Galatians, Philippians,

Repercussions Of Child Abuse Essay
Repercussions of child abuse and measures taken
Madam Yap was outraged after she discovered scratches and reddened ears on her daughter s face
when she picked her up from her nursery, Chiltern House at Forum shopping mall on May 22.
Madam Yap tried asking her daughter about what caused the marks on her face but she refused to say
anything. She kept making the action of zipping her mouth and said, cannot say, cannot say . But after
assurance from her mother that she will not tell anybody, her daughter revealed that her nursery
teacher had brought her and another girl from her class in to the diaper changing room and pulled their
ears and rubbed their faces roughly forcing them to say they liked her as a teacher.
Madam Yap then contacted the other daughter s mother, addressed as Madam Tan and upon
examination on her daughter also found the same marks as indicated by Madam Yap. Madam Yap
made a police report when she brought her child for a check up at KK Women s and Children s
Hospital and brought up the matter along with other parents on May 25 to the school s principal. ...

Teaser: Too much sugar in your diet can damage a protein that is essential in fighting Alzheimer s
disease, in its early stages.
Article:
It s no secret; sugar, when consumed in excess leads you down the road to obesity and diabetes. Still,
sugar loaded foods and beverages have become a way of life for many Americans. So much so, that
the average person consumes about 20 teaspoons of sugar a day! That s about 14 teaspoons or 60
grams more than is recommended for a healthy diet. All that sugar not only makes you fat, but now

Dr. Omar Kassaar, also from the University of Bath, further added that excess sugar is well known to
be bad for us when it comes to diabetes and obesity, but this potential link with Alzheimer s disease is
yet another reason that we should be controlling our sugar intake in our diets.
Why we crave the white stuff
Your brain has built in evolutionary mechanisms that drive your cravings. Many of these mechanisms
are meant for survival, one of the which is eating. And of course, the release of hormones is also
involved according to Tufts. When you eat something sweet and delicious, the good feeling of the
experience is determined in part by hormone receptors. Over time, these receptors become less
sensitive to the hormones produced when we enjoy a particular food like chocolate cake. So, you ll
need to consume more and more chocolate cake to have the same pleasant experience.
We re addicted and we may not know it!

Ancient Greek Instruments And Modern Day Instruments
Ancient Greek instruments had similar uses as modern day instruments, but there are some very
obvious differences. Ancient Greek instruments were used in more solo fashion, usually
accompanying a singer, chorus, or poet, whereas modern day instruments are typically used in
ensemble situations. There is more variety of instruments in modern day than in Ancient Greece due to
modern day advancements and production methods. Modern people are able to buy instruments from
many different markets and these instruments are mass produced on assembly lines or by specialists,
therefore the availability of instruments is higher in modern day than in Ancient times, where
everything was handmade and took longer. This is also due to the globalization of modern day
economies, where an individual can have access to basically any kind of instrument they desire,
whereas in ancient Greece where contact with other cultures was not as pronounced as it is today,
there were not as many instruments available to their use, only ones of their own design or of nearby
cultures. Ancient Greek instruments were not as complex as modern instruments are designed. Typical
instruments were created by adding holes that would be covered by the player s fingers, or they were
created as string instruments where one would simply pluck at the string to produce a noise. There
were some advancements of Greek instruments over time, such as with the aulos. In modern times,
though, because instruments have been able to

Writing, for example, is as old as civilization itself, but arithmetic ¡V the systematic manipulation of
number symbols ¡V was really not a tool possessed by the ancients. Rather, the persistent use of
Roman numerals for financial transactions long after the introduction of Arabic numeration appears to
have hindered the earlier creation of double entry systems. Nevertheless, the problems encountered by
the ancients with record keeping, control and verification of financial transactions were not entirely
different from our current ones. Governments, in particular, had strong incentives to keep careful
records of receipts and disbursements ¡V particularly concerning taxes. And in any society where
individuals accumulated wealth, there was a desire by the rich to perform audits on the honesty and
skill of slaves and employees entrusted with asset management. But the lack of the above listed
antecedents to double entry bookkeeping made the job of an ancient accountant extraordinarily
difficult. In societies where nearly all were illiterate, writing materials costly, numeration difficult and
money systems inconsistent, a transaction had to be extremely important to justify keeping an
accounting record. Five thousand years before the appearance of double entry, the Assyrian,
Chaldaean Babylonian and Sumerian civilizations were flourishing in the Mesopotamian Valley,
producing some of the oldest known records of commerce. In this area

Break Break Break Analysis
The poem Break, Break, Break was composed by Lord Tennyson Alfred. Written in rhyming quatrain
stanzas with a trimeter rhythm, this piece of literature expresses the thoughts of a man who has
recently lost someone he was close to. Accordingly, the themes displayed in this poem are death,
sorrow, and passing time. The composer of the poem is unable to speak his mind, for his tongue will
not allow him to speak the thoughts that arise in [him] (4). This phrase displays the emotional distress
being experience by the author, as well as avoidance of responsibility for what he is unable to say. He
does not take claim of being unable to say his thoughts aloud but rather blames the inability on his
tongue. Later on in the poem, we learn of the reason for this emotional distress the author is
experiencing. The author longs for the touch of a vanished hand/And the sound of a voice that is still
(11 12). These two eerie indicators point the reader towards the conclusion that the author has lost
someone with whom he was close. The author continues to use the physical world to describe the one
he has lost, emphasizing the presence of death within the poem. The combination of his inability to
say what thoughts he has and his use of physical world descriptions for this missing person may
indicate that he is still in the early stages of grief, attempting to fully comprehend his loss. The author
includes implications of jealousy within his poem. This jealousy arises when he first observes a
fisherman s boy playing joyfully with his sister and then when he sees a sailor lad singing cheerfully
in his boat on the bay. These lines providing evidence of this begin with O well (5,7). The use of this
phrase before his observations leads the reader to the conclusion that he is jealous of the happiness of
these people. After suffering a great loss, one is inclined to wish they could once again experience the
joy they see in others. This is further evident with the presence of the statement of but the tender grace
of a day that is dead/Will never come back to me (15 16). The authors thoughts of jealousy and death
lead to the main theme of this poem, sorrow. The author recalls the day that he was able to enjoy the

National Security Agency
The National Security Agency
Many have wondered why America is so great and one of those reasons is because of the NSA. The
National Security Agency was founded on November 4, 1952 and continues today. The NSA is an
intelligence organization of the United States government, responsible for global monitoring,
collection, and processing of information. There are many different opinions about the NSA and the
work that they do. The National Security Agency is, in fact, a good thing because it provides national
security and supports the military.
Without the NSA, our country could face some major issues such as the middle eastern countries and
many more. It protects us from terrorism and everything that comes with it. In 2014 an article was

Sexism In Video Games
Video Games. Video Gaming has been a popular form of entertainment in modern pop culture since
the early 1980 s. From the early beginnings of software producers such as Nintendo, they have been
creating games that have become favorable classics in only a few decades. With the most popular
classic video games including Super Mario Bros. (1985), Donkey Kong (1981), Pac Man (1980), and
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998), we can quickly note some patterns. One of the patterns
that we can note is all of the main playable protagonists within these games are male. The second
pattern that we can note is the majority of the games listed above have a storyline written about
rescuing a princess one of the only notable female characters within the game. Along with this, the
female characters are only story advancing non playable characters (NPC s). When the online gaming
community was first introduced and popularized in the early 2000 s, females in the gaming
community quickly faced another obstacle; sexism. Anonymity within the gaming community has
become more than a tactic to hide your identity. For the majority of female gamers in the gaming
community, anonymity has become a crucial aid to avoid sexist comments and actions from other
online players. According to a 2006 Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) report, women who
were aged between 25 34 were out playing males during non console competitive gaming. Also from
this report, we can note that in the UK women have

Why Is Casablanca Movie Set
1. What is the setting for Casablanca? How does the film establish this setting? If you were creating a
theatrical production of the play upon which the film is based, how would you establish the setting on
stage? The setting for the movie looked as if it was around the 1980 s. The movie has a sort of mellow
feeling to it because of how calm all the actors and actresses are performing. If i were to do a
theatrical performance on this i would have set all the scenes in a way where it would fit the 1980 s
attitude, such as clothing and accent.
2. Describe three different camera shots the director uses in Casablanca. What effect does each of
these shots have on the plot, mood, etc. of the film? Three different camera shots that they had in the
movie was, high angle, birds eye and eye level. The effects that it gives can be explained i n numerous
ways, such as the high angle to show what the existing environment around what they are talking
about or filming, then there is the bird s eye view which shows more of the detail of what the
cameraman is filming, and then there is the eye level that will pretty much be the basic idea of getting

The Character Analysis Of Iago Of Othello
At first glance, Iago of Othello can appear to have little motivation for his destructive tendencies;
however, when viewed through the lens of antisocial personality disorder, his incentive takes on a
twisted internal logic. His all consuming desire for revenge is not necessarily because of any outside
influence by Othello himself, but rather the fact that Othello disrupts Iago s conception of himself and
is a pawn whom he can manipulate for pleasure. His arrogance and entitlement are also classic
symptoms of antisocial personality disorder, as is his superficial charm, which allows him to enlist the
assistance of Roderigo in his plot to destroy Othello s marriage.

For example, act 1 scene 1 depicts him and Roderigo discussing Othello s impending marriage.
During this scene, Roderigo mentions that Iago hast had [his] purse/ As if the strings were thine (1.1.2
3). A common symptom of antisocial personality disorder is the inability to handle money responsibly,
whether because of an unreliable source of income or reckless spending (Personality and Personality
Disorders, 88). In either case, from the first scene of the play it is clear that he is leeching off of
Roderigo for personal gain. His disorder appears to manifest itself differently depending on the person
with whom he is interacting, as shown when he speaks to Emelia and his charming, relatively eloquent
exterior melts away into an aggressive, rude figure. This behavioral pattern indicates that Iago is a
fundamentally antisocial person, not reacting to a specific negative situation.
Iago reveals a good deal about the inner workings of his mind when he states that But for [his] sport
and profit. [He] hate[s] the Moor (1.3.386). He relates this to the alleged adultery between his wife
and Othello, but when viewed through the lens of antisocial personality disorder, it becomes literally
true. According to the DSM, such individuals are frequently motivated by pleasure seeking. The
reasons which Iago gives for his hatred of Othello do not stand up to scrutiny when his hostile

A Resident Of South Africa
An individual who is not ordinarily resident in South Africa can still be a resident of South Africa
provided that person meets the requirements of the physical presence test (Stiglingh, Koekemoer, Van
Schalkwyk, Wilcocks e Swardt.2012:51).
With the physical presence test, with which a natural person, who is not at any time ordinarily resident
in the Republic of South Africa during the relevant year of assessment, must comply before that
person will be a resident as defined in section 1. This can further be elaborated by Interpretation Note
4 dated 4 February 2004.
The physical presence test, also known as the day test or time rule , is based on the number of days
that a natural person is physically present in the Republic. The purpose or nature of the visit is
irrelevant. It must be determined annually whether all the requirements of the physical presence test
have been met.
Paragraph (a) (ii) of the definition of a resident in section 1(1) of the Income Tax Act refers to a
natural person who is not at any time during the relevant year of assessment ordinarily resident in the
Republic. The ordinarily residence test supersedes the physical presence test. The physical presence
test is thus not applicable during any year of assessment that a person is ordinarily resident in the
Republic.

South Africa during a year of assessment, the person must be present in

The Power Of Language In Cyrano De Bergerac
You can t hide everything Complete mastery of a language is challenging for most people, but if one
does master it, it can be useful in life. However, it is not in the case for Cyrano, the protagonist in the
famous comedy, Cyrano de Bergerac, by Edmond Rostand. Cyrano is a French soldier who can create
figurative language with a blink of an eye and De Guiche, Cyrano s colonel, is also a witty person, but
is not respected. In this play, Rostand argues that a person with the power of wit cannot conceal their
own insecurities. Occasionally, Cyrano unintentionally uses his wit to expose his own insecurities
when he feels offended. At the beginning of the play, Cyrano confronted the Meddler when he was
staring at his nose, the Meddler said Cyrano s nose was small, very small, infinitesimal . Then, Cyrano
uses hit wit to reply, For a great nose indicates a great man,/ Genial, courteous, intellectual,/ Virile,
courageous as I am and such/ As you poor wretch will never dare to be / Even in imagination. For that
face / That blank, inglourious concavity / Which my right hand finds (Rostand I, 34). First, the
meddler is an irrelevant person who stares at Cyrano s nose because it is an abnormally large one. Due
to Cyrano s sensitive personality, he believes that the meddler is condescending him. Therefore,
Cyrano pressures the Meddler and forces him to say his opinion on Cyrano s nose. The meddler,
knowing that Cyrano is ashamed of his large nose, says he has a small nose. Cyrano strangely took
that as an insult and started saying fine values of himself. Here, the language of Cyrano depicts
insecurity because insecure people are the ones who constantly search to boost self esteem. Telling
this to Roxane or other important people is understandable, but to make these remarks to the Meddler
proves that his insecurities are at another level. Then, Cyrano describes the Meddler s face as a blank,
inglorious concavity , which means a plain, pointless face with a huge chin(I, 34). Here, Cyrano
desperately tries to hide his insecurity by using his wit to degrade the Meddler. This makes the
Meddler feel insecure because Cyrano called him ugly. According to Psychology Today, The insecure
person makes you feel

Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep Character Analysis
Diminishing Difference Between Humans and Androids Throughout Do Androids Dream of Electric
Sheep, author Philip K. Dick explored the effect empathy had on the characters. In the novel, bounty
hunters Voigt Kampff Test measured empathy, and if a person was found to fail the test, that person
was considered to be an android (Dick 44). As a result of this method, the humans had ironically
become the less empathetic, which resulted in androids becoming closer to human by default. Dick
explored the declining empathy of humans by looking at what they have resorted to in order to
identify androids. The Voigt Kampff Test was a vital tool to the bounty hunters tasked with finding
and retiring illegal androids (57); however, the test itself was calculating and cold, only able to deliver
a yes or no, fail or pass, 0 or 1 (46). The Voigt Kampff Test, humans only anchor point in a world
where anyone could be an android, was just as devoid of empathy as humans see androids (40). ...

Dbq Essay On Childhood And Divorce
Fatherhood Divorce Where you stand depends on where you sit. Have you ever heard that saying? It
means your opinion about a situation can be based on your own experience (or lack of experience)

friends got divorced because of their work prioritization, activities, or some other faulty decisions they

or slow building, almost imperceptible issues which erode the foundation of marriage over time. It
seems that for many men, the choice to divorce isn t theirs because about 70% of divorces today are
initiated by women.[1] While we may not have the power to stay married, we do have the power to
define our role as a parent after a divorce. Defining that role begins with understanding the baseline
and the changes ahead. Self Assessment Fathers today spend more time taking care of their children
compared to previous generations. Even with these gains, today s mothers devote almost double the
time that fathers do for child care.[2] While every situation is different, in most families there ... Show

When you put your ideas on paper, your instructors want to distinguish between the building block
ideas borrowed from other people and your own newly reasoned perspectives or conclusions. You
make these distinctions in a written paper by citing the sources for your building block ideas.
Providing appropriate citations will also help readers who are interested in your topic find additional,
related material to read in this way, they will be able to build on the work you have done to find
sources. Think of it this way: in the vast majority of assignments you ll get in college, your instructors
will ask you to read something (think of this material as the building blocks) and then write a paper in
which you analyze one or more aspects of what you have read (think of this as the new structure you
build). Essentially, your instructors are asking you to do three things: * Show that you have a clear
understanding of the material you ve read. * Refer to your sources to support the ideas you have
developed. * Distinguish your analysis of what you ve read from the authors analyses. When you cite
a source, you are using an expert s ideas as proof or evidence of a new idea that you are trying to
communicate to the reader. What about common knowledge ? In every professional field, experts
consider some ideas common knowledge, but remember that you re not a professional (yet). In fact,

 Resource Sharing Computer resources can be shared in the network such as the printer, scanner,
modem etc. This allows us to track down the uses of resources. For example, a network administrator
can set up a printer server and share it in the network. Then the user can use printer server for printing.
Now administrator needs only to monitor the print server instead of individual workstations. This is
economically better.  Application Sharing Application sharing is the most common in companies.
Companies may have a business application that needs to be updated by several users. Sharing make it
possible. It allows several users to work together on a single application.  Economic benefits With
computer networking, you can use a lot of software and hardware available on the market which can
just be stored or installed on a server and can be used by various workstations. Dis Advantage: 
Need of Technicians The network should be checked frequently monitored for good performance and
no problems on its physical and logical component. The expert technicians are required to do so it cost
a lot of money to hire them for all time  Network failure If any server like the file, print etc. fail then
the whole network is affected. If any hardware fails the nodes cannot be used.  Expensive It is
expensive to build and run the network. Expensive hardware like a router, cables, hub,

The Question Of Antibiotic Resistance
Introduction The question of antibiotic resistance is a growing phenomenon in contemporary society
and modern medicine; it pertains to pathogenic organisms and is one of the most eminent issues of
public health in the twenty first century. Though resistant genes are ancient, its increasing prevalence
poses a threat. It demands a greater need for antibiotic therapies. New resistance mechanisms may
spread globally and limit our ability to treat disease and lead to a giant hole in the pillars of modern
medicine. The immense increase in antibiotic resistance can be attributed to many factors. Along with
spontaneous gene mutation, natural selection, and cell to cell gene transfer, humans play a huge part in
the worsening of the epidemic. The Union of Concerned Scientists estimated in 2001 that more that
seventy percent of the antibiotics used in the United States are given to food animals without disease
to increase growth and decrease probability of mortality; medicine is used ensure and maximize profit.
The misuse of antibiotics leads to an increase in resistance in that it exposes bacteria to antibiotics
when this exposure is not necessary. Additionally, culturally ingrained practices of using antibiotics
sans prescription, sharing antibiotics with others, and over prescription and dispensing antibiotics
either incorrectly or needlessly due to the commercialization of medicine in combination with patients
exaggeration of disease symptoms all contribute to the excessive use

Growth Matrix Of Ansoff
To assess the growth and business strategy of Pfizer Bristol Myers Squibb, we will make use of Ansoff
s growth matrix. Ansoff s growth matrix is a valid way to find out which business strategy and growth
strategy the business use. The model states which strategy or strategies a company has adopted in
order to grow. According to Ansoff there are four possible alternatives a company can use:
· Market Penetration the company seeks to achieve growth within its existing products in their current
market segments, thereby aiming to increase its initial market share.
· Market Development the company seeks growth by aiming its existing products towards new market
segments.
· Product Development the company seeks to develop new products and target these to its existing
market segments.
Diversification the company seeks to achieve growth by diversifying into new businesses, by
developing new products for new markets. (Johnsson, G. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This currently mean, that the companies have adopted a very risky way of growth since this strategy,
as before mentioned, is about developing new products for new markets. This is risky due to lack of
knowledge about markets and manufacturing. The ways in which the companies have pursued this
strategy is by M A s, which only adds more risk, since many factors may affect the mergers acquisition
negatively. Furthermore did we find out that in general the pharmaceutical companies will more or
less always work in risky environments, which are also those that generate the highest amounts of
possible revenue, but also those that are in the highest risk for failure. Normally what is seen, as the
highest failure in the pharmaceutical industry is the lack of FDA approval of pharmaceuticals, very
few drugs are granted permission to be marketed each

The Purpose Of Child Curfew Laws
A long time ago the area now known as our home, the United States of America, got discovered. This
unearthing of new ground eventually brought about hope for many individuals seeking a new and
diverse life. By the mid to late 1800s America attracted many Europeans. These immigrants strived for
an opportunity to make a living with great possibilities, and without negative government interference.
Anyone would consider it an understatement to claim that America, during this time, contained great
hope for the future of its inhabitance. After all, America s founding purpose comes from one key
element in general, freedom. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are many opposing views on the basis of child curfew laws.
The main purpose of the curfew ordinance strives to reduce adolescent crime. This idea generates
positive ideas in thought and theory; but the problem continues to remain. Child curfews do not seem
to lower this crime rate. Research in the United States revealed no link between areas with child
curfew and their crime rate. The majority of child crime happens from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., which has
no foreseeable relationship with a child curfew. The areas that see the most improvement are areas
with zero tolerance policing and other similar strategies.
The 14th Amendment of the United States says that no state shall make or enforce any law which shall
abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; this should apply to local
government also. Cites and towns should not have the authority to take away privileges of citizens
solely based in fear of unforeseeable crimes. They are taking away a right of all citizens for crimes
that have not even been committed yet. Crime prevention attracts a lot of good ideas, but punishing
innocent kids with a curfew in exchange for theorized crime prevention just sounds ironically juvenile.
A friend of mine and his experience will help plead this case.

Speech On Ageing Skin
Ageing skin is a big concern for women all over the world and they are always looking for ways to
reverse the signs of ageing. Wrinkles on the facial skin, sagging necklines, double chins and loose skin
on the chest are every woman s nightmares. Not only does ageing make one look old, it also makes
one look more mature and the person feels unwanted. It stops you from living your life to the fullest.
We all want to remain forever young. Many people use various anti ageing creams and get frequent
facials to stop skin from ageing. Those who have the courage may even get cosmetic surgeries
performed on themselves through skin care professionals.
Although, plastic surgery is one of the most commonly used methods of skin tightening, many women

Patients can maximize their comfort by discussing with their medical practitioner. Cooling fans,
relaxation techniques and stress balls are some of the ways to decrease the discomfort and divert one s
attention during the procedure. Although once the results of the procedure become visible, patients
forget about all the pain and uneasiness. The time required for conducting this procedure is just 60 90
minutes, but most importantly, it depends upon the areas you plan to get treated. The neck and face
can be treated in a sitting of 60 90 minutes while your chest can be done in as less as 30 minutes. The
results of Ultherapy usually last till about a year but since skin ageing is a continuous process, one
may get a touch up if the need be.
Mostly, women in their thirties start to show their first signs of ageing. Many women may not have
started to show the signs of ageing but they just start their fight against ageing skin at an early age so
that they can look younger for a longer period of time. The skin of the patient undergoing Ultherapy
must have some laxity. These patients usually show mild to moderate laxity with a sagging neck, loose
skin on eyebrows, chin and

The Role Of Reverend Parris As A Minister
Being a Minister is a very important job, especially in the Salem area at that particular time. Reverend
Parris has little concern, if any for the spiritual welfare of his people. It is pointed out that he barley
mentions the Lord s name in his sermons; consequently, some people do not show up to church. This
may support the theory that he is not doing his job as minister. This may also be part of the reason
why the people of Salem do not like him. Reverend Parris is not an effective minister and appears to
only care about his image in Salem and his own well being. The first reason Reverend Parris not an
effective minister is that he seems to have little to no concern for the spiritual well being of the people
of Salem. This is confirmed

A Look at the Westward Expansion in the Post-Civil War Era
History is like a die. It can have a small or large number of sides, but it can never have just one.
Regarding the United States Westward Expansion in the Post Civil War era, there were many sides to
be taken into account, including (but not limited to) the Apache Indians, the US Government workers
and soldiers, the American Elite, journalists, and scholars. How historians and others perceive this era
is dependent on the primary sources available. By looking at sources such as Apache Chief Geronimo
s Story of His Life, Harvard Educated Ranch Manager Richard Trimble s Letters to his Mother, and
Financial Editor H.D. Lloyd s Story of a Great Monopoly , one can unearth little nuggets of
information that help determine how the process of incorporation affected large and diverse groups of
people.
When the United States began its Westward Expansion in the second half of the 19th century, many
Native American Chiefs lost much more than they gained. The first time that Apache Chief Geronimo
ever saw white men was about 1858, shortly after the massacre of Kaskiyeh . Although he was a
warrior, he was not interested in killing every white soldier or settler that he came across. Instead, his
initial attitude towards the white soldiers and settlers was stated on page 117 of his autobiography as,
The Indians always tried to live peaceably with the white soldiers and settlers. (117) This statement,
along with a few others in the autobiography such as Then we made our camp near

Capabilities: MediaTek has created a customization model that allows customers to view a weekly
reviewed code database containing software for new features. The customers have the ability to
review and submit feedback on the features to a marketing team. This customization model includes
the assessments and recommendations of the company s internal R amp;D and is provided free of
charge to the customer. The model has proven to be beneficial for the company as the development
cycle time has been reduced from 9 to 12 months down to just three. A key area of exploitation for the
company has been its experience and research based historic past. The current CEO of MediaTek,
Ming Kai Tsai had worked as a designer manager of the electronic research and service organization at
Taiwan s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). When Tsai joined UMC in 1983 he became
director of research and development and oversaw the creation of many products. He took the
necessary steps to make the company a top CD ROM controller supplier. Having an experienced
leadership with a past in R amp;D has proved to be a strong capability for MediaTek. They have
managed to take advantage of this by diversifying their product lineup to target various CD, DVD, and
Blu ray technologies. Another capability for the company has been its successful approach to technical

Power System fault is defined as undesirable condition that occurs in the power system. These
undesirable conditions such as short circuit, current leakage, ground short, over current and
overvoltage and over temperature.
With the increasing loads, voltages and short circuit duty in distribution system, over current
protection has become more important today. The ability of protection system is demanded not only
for economic reason but also consumers just expect reliable service. In a Power System Protection, the
system engineer would need a device that can monitor current, voltage, frequency, temperature and in
some case over power in the system. Thus a device called Protective Relay is created to serve the
purpose. The protective relay is most often relay coupled with Circuit Breaker such that it can isolate
the abnormal condition in the system. In the interest of reliable

Midsummer Night s Dream Love
Sitting on a porch swing with one s true love hugging and kissing as the moon smiles down upon
them, seems like the perfect situation for true love. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the
truth. Shakespeare presents the truth about true love in his comical tragedy A Midsummer Night s
Dream. Lysander clearly stated loves situation when he told Hermia the course of true love never did
run smooth (Griffiths 94). In some ways Lysander s declaration becomes the play s structural and
thematic point by which Shakespeare uses to explore the storms of love (Bloom 12). In A Midsummer
Night s Dream, Shakespeare uses young lovers to depict how love masters young people and pushes
them to extreme measures (Comtois 20). The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Demetrius, though, chose to pursue someone more appealing to his eye, Hermia. Now, Helena
whishes to be literally translated into Hermia so as to regain Demetrius affection (Young 156). Helena
pleads with Demetrius to use [her] but as your spaniel: spurn me, strike me, / Neglect me, lose me;
only give me leave, / Unworthy as I am, to follow you (Griffiths 130). Shakespeare, no doubt included
this to show how pathetic and deperate a person can be, and the things they will do to get love in
return. The characteristic Shakespeare gave to Helena is sadly a characteristic in the world today.
Titania states that these are the forgeries of jealousy and this becomes another theme of love for
Shakespeare to play on (Griffiths 124). Oberon is jealous of the love Titania has for a little Indian boy
that she takes care of, and he wants this Indian boy and all of Titania s love (Griffiths 125). In order to
get what he wants, Oberon is going to punish [Titania] by putting the juice of Cupid s flower on her
eyelids so that when she wakes up she will fall in love with a hideous creature (Garner 87). Puck turns
Bottom into a donkey and he becomes Titania s love, which pleases Oberon. When Oberon reverses
the spell and Titania realizes her actions, she subsides to his desires. Oberon successfully taunts her
into obedience (Garner 87). Shakespear shows that love can cause jealousy, which in turn can cause a
person to resort

Mostly, bad coordination in a company or organization can decrease its productivity no matter what.
However, for more clarification, I ll give an example. If a person has to market a new mobile phone,
and due to lack of good communication between the employees of different departments, some of the
features were missed and this would cause a bad advertising. The department who is responsible for
money is finance which includes budget. When a lack of coordination happens between finance and
marketing, marketers might end up with an extra which overtake the budget. Finance consider as an
operation like everything around us except the flesh and blood , so by the example I gave here you can
be able to understand how important is to coordinate between operations not only between those two
business functions. For an organization it is not an option; it is something natural. Employees just
have to work together in harmony and they must have good communication skills. (Miriana, 2014:

  • 2. Homeless End Of The Day Analysis I would consider my self to be some where in between a liberal and a conservative in this issue of the homeless. I think that although some of the homeless decisions contribute to the reasons of why they are homeless, they deserve the help and support. No one is perfect, and I think these people should not be judged by mistakes they made or by their living situation. The homeless at the end of the day are also human beings that should be treated equally as others. The article is very sad to read since it is the reality of what some people actually go through and are still going through at the moment. Its also amusing how they were all willing to open up to complete strangers about their personal lives. Like what drove these homeless people ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Victorian Era Woman Woman In The Victorian Era The victorian Era lasted through 1837 1890s. The era gave woman little power and opportunities in life while men were looked at as having the most control. Fashion choices determined a person s social status and politics were strictly powered by men. There were many influences during the time period that blocked off woman from being equal to others with higher status or wealth. Events throughout the Victorian era placed restrictions on women and the lower class citizens. The way people dressed and acted determined their class and wealth which connects to today s expectations of how a person should look and how they treat others. Social status and employment were based off of the wealth of a family and the success ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The women with more money and success in their lives owned more clothing with better fabric and embellishments which created expensive garments to buy (Monet, Dolores). Wealth was a big part in fashion and the more detailing and better fabric gave others the impression of a family s income. Many who wore makeup, had the money to buy it and wear to make their appearance stand out from other women that cannot afford cosmetics. Many styles were invented in this era such as hair crimping in the 1870s. Clothing styles were dictated by propriety, and stylish garments were a sign of respectability (Monet, Dolores). The Victorian era was big on being proper as said in the quote, many who broke this dictation were looked at as disrespectful. In the 19th Century bonnets, bell shaped ruffles, and ¾ sleeves were very popular. Many wore their hair long or in a bun with curls. Woman of a higher social class were expected to demure and indolent as reflected by the restrictive dropped shoulder lines and corsets (Monet, Dolores). Fashion choices provided the characteristics traits of how women needed to act to be respected in that era. Corsets were worn to give girls a structured figure to wear with clothing. The corset was very popular even though it was rather uncomfortable, many who wore corsets were looked at as part of the high social class, being respected, and having a glorified figure to the ... • 4. Essay about Nuclear Energy When most people think of a nuclear threat, they think of a nuclear attack from a foreign nation. In reality, the largest nuclear threat comes not from foreign attack, but from a much closer enemy: nuclear power. Nuclear power is very dangerous, and should be done away with. The nuclear age dawned in 1945, when the United States dropped atomic bombs on two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The bombing had at least two effects: the Japanese surrender, bringing World War II to a swift end; and many people in the United States, especially scientists and officials involved in the development of atomic bombs, were awed, frightened and filled with guilt over the ... There have been multiple examples of this throughout the history of nuclear power including the Browns Ferry, Three Mile Island, and Chernobyl incidents. A serious incident occurred at a nuclear power plant in 1975 as a result of a fire started by a candle. On March 22, 1975, two large reactors at Browns Ferry, Alabama were operating and generating 2,200 megawatts of electricity. Beneath the plant s control center, electricians were trying to seal air leaks among the complex array of electrical cables that made up the electrical system of the two reactors.(Stephens 15) The leaks were being sealed by stuffing strips of polyurethane foam among the cables. • 6. Home Schooling Is An Amazing Experience This Year Home schooling has been an amazing experience this year. 1It has helped me grow in my faith and in my knowledge of the Bible. I have so much more knowledge dealing with the Bible and I am now so much closer to God than I have ever been in my life up to this point. 2I have been more energized and excited to learn, my entire personality has taken a huge turn for the better. I am now an outgoing, bubbly girl ready to learn, that s from the inside out from the light of Jesus.3 Also, I have been able to learn much more than I than I would have in a year of public school in one home school year! I have done an extra semester in my math, I have also been on so many school trips that are all for school. 4There have been so many benefits for my family as well. We have all grown so much closer and we actually get to see each other. Another huge benefit, I have noticed, of being home schooled is, 5I don t have to worry about getting vulgar, ungodly, lessons that put down Christianity and God all day, every day and I don t have to deal with all the horrible vulgarity from students and teachers alike. I have grown in my faith, and knowledge; I have grown closer to God, family, and friends. I have gained so much knowledge about God and his word since starting home schooling in early September. Reading the Bible has become one of the subjects I am required to do every day and it has become my absolute favorite. I have read the entire book of Galatians, Philippians, ... This figure is thought to rise to over 125 million by 2050. This amounts to hundreds of billions of dollars spent on medical and social care because of the cognitive effects of the disease. Dr. Omar Kassaar, also from the University of Bath, further added that excess sugar is well known to be bad for us when it comes to diabetes and obesity, but this potential link with Alzheimer s disease is yet another reason that we should be controlling our sugar intake in our diets. Why we crave the white stuff Your brain has built in evolutionary mechanisms that drive your cravings. Many of these mechanisms are meant for survival, one of the which is eating. And of course, the release of hormones is also involved according to Tufts. When you eat something sweet and delicious, the good feeling of the experience is determined in part by hormone receptors. Over time, these receptors become less sensitive to the hormones produced when we enjoy a particular food like chocolate cake. So, you ll need to consume more and more chocolate cake to have the same pleasant experience. We re addicted and we may not know it! • 9. Ancient Greek Instruments And Modern Day Instruments Ancient Greek instruments had similar uses as modern day instruments, but there are some very obvious differences. Ancient Greek instruments were used in more solo fashion, usually accompanying a singer, chorus, or poet, whereas modern day instruments are typically used in ensemble situations. There is more variety of instruments in modern day than in Ancient Greece due to modern day advancements and production methods. Modern people are able to buy instruments from many different markets and these instruments are mass produced on assembly lines or by specialists, therefore the availability of instruments is higher in modern day than in Ancient times, where everything was handmade and took longer. This is also due to the globalization of modern day economies, where an individual can have access to basically any kind of instrument they desire, whereas in ancient Greece where contact with other cultures was not as pronounced as it is today, there were not as many instruments available to their use, only ones of their own design or of nearby cultures. Ancient Greek instruments were not as complex as modern instruments are designed. Typical instruments were created by adding holes that would be covered by the player s fingers, or they were created as string instruments where one would simply pluck at the string to produce a noise. There were some advancements of Greek instruments over time, such as with the aulos. In modern times, though, because instruments have been able to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is to wider questions of the role of accounting in reflecting and shaping not only business and management practice, but also economic and social organization more generally. Finley s classic ¡§The Ancient Economy¡¨ , which analyzed the embedded ness of ancient economic activity in the social structure, and in the status concerns of the free citizens, as constituting a brake on the development of profit focused markets and correspondingly on technology and trade. Writing, for example, is as old as civilization itself, but arithmetic ¡V the systematic manipulation of number symbols ¡V was really not a tool possessed by the ancients. Rather, the persistent use of Roman numerals for financial transactions long after the introduction of Arabic numeration appears to have hindered the earlier creation of double entry systems. Nevertheless, the problems encountered by the ancients with record keeping, control and verification of financial transactions were not entirely different from our current ones. Governments, in particular, had strong incentives to keep careful records of receipts and disbursements ¡V particularly concerning taxes. And in any society where individuals accumulated wealth, there was a desire by the rich to perform audits on the honesty and skill of slaves and employees entrusted with asset management. But the lack of the above listed antecedents to double entry bookkeeping made the job of an ancient accountant extraordinarily difficult. In societies where nearly all were illiterate, writing materials costly, numeration difficult and money systems inconsistent, a transaction had to be extremely important to justify keeping an accounting record. Five thousand years before the appearance of double entry, the Assyrian, Chaldaean Babylonian and Sumerian civilizations were flourishing in the Mesopotamian Valley, producing some of the oldest known records of commerce. • 11. Break Break Break Analysis The poem Break, Break, Break was composed by Lord Tennyson Alfred. Written in rhyming quatrain stanzas with a trimeter rhythm, this piece of literature expresses the thoughts of a man who has recently lost someone he was close to. Accordingly, the themes displayed in this poem are death, sorrow, and passing time. The composer of the poem is unable to speak his mind, for his tongue will not allow him to speak the thoughts that arise in [him] (4). This phrase displays the emotional distress being experience by the author, as well as avoidance of responsibility for what he is unable to say. He does not take claim of being unable to say his thoughts aloud but rather blames the inability on his tongue. Later on in the poem, we learn of the reason for this emotional distress the author is experiencing. The author longs for the touch of a vanished hand/And the sound of a voice that is still (11 12). These two eerie indicators point the reader towards the conclusion that the author has lost someone with whom he was close. The author continues to use the physical world to describe the one he has lost, emphasizing the presence of death within the poem. The combination of his inability to say what thoughts he has and his use of physical world descriptions for this missing person may indicate that he is still in the early stages of grief, attempting to fully comprehend his loss. The author includes implications of jealousy within his poem. This jealousy arises when he first observes a fisherman s boy playing joyfully with his sister and then when he sees a sailor lad singing cheerfully in his boat on the bay. These lines providing evidence of this begin with O well (5,7). The use of this phrase before his observations leads the reader to the conclusion that he is jealous of the happiness of these people. After suffering a great loss, one is inclined to wish they could once again experience the joy they see in others. This is further evident with the presence of the statement of but the tender grace of a day that is dead/Will never come back to me (15 16). There are many different opinions about the NSA and the work that they do. The National Security Agency is, in fact, a good thing because it provides national security and supports the military. From the early beginnings of software producers such as Nintendo, they have been creating games that have become favorable classics in only a few decades. With the most popular classic video games including Super Mario Bros. (1985), Donkey Kong (1981), Pac Man (1980), and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998), we can quickly note some patterns. One of the patterns that we can note is all of the main playable protagonists within these games are male. The second pattern that we can note is the majority of the games listed above have a storyline written about rescuing a princess one of the only notable female characters within the game. Along with this, the female characters are only story advancing non playable characters (NPC s). When the online gaming community was first introduced and popularized in the early 2000 s, females in the gaming community quickly faced another obstacle; sexism. Anonymity within the gaming community has become more than a tactic to hide your identity. For the majority of female gamers in the gaming community, anonymity has become a crucial aid to avoid sexist comments and actions from other online players. If you were creating a theatrical production of the play upon which the film is based, how would you establish the setting on stage? The setting for the movie looked as if it was around the 1980 s. The movie has a sort of mellow feeling to it because of how calm all the actors and actresses are performing. If i were to do a theatrical performance on this i would have set all the scenes in a way where it would fit the 1980 s attitude, such as clothing and accent. 2. Describe three different camera shots the director uses in Casablanca. What effect does each of these shots have on the plot, mood, etc. of the film? Three different camera shots that they had in the movie was, high angle, birds eye and eye level. The effects that it gives can be explained i n numerous ways, such as the high angle to show what the existing environment around what they are talking about or filming, then there is the bird s eye view which shows more of the detail of what the cameraman is filming, and then there is the eye level that will pretty much be the basic idea of getting what important while filming a person or object. 3. • 17. The Character Analysis Of Iago Of Othello At first glance, Iago of Othello can appear to have little motivation for his destructive tendencies; however, when viewed through the lens of antisocial personality disorder, his incentive takes on a twisted internal logic. His all consuming desire for revenge is not necessarily because of any outside influence by Othello himself, but rather the fact that Othello disrupts Iago s conception of himself and is a pawn whom he can manipulate for pleasure. His arrogance and entitlement are also classic symptoms of antisocial personality disorder, as is his superficial charm, which allows him to enlist the assistance of Roderigo in his plot to destroy Othello s marriage. For example, act 1 scene 1 depicts him and Roderigo discussing Othello s impending marriage. During this scene, Roderigo mentions that Iago hast had [his] purse/ As if the strings were thine (1.1.2 3). A common symptom of antisocial personality disorder is the inability to handle money responsibly, whether because of an unreliable source of income or reckless spending (Personality and Personality Disorders, 88). In either case, from the first scene of the play it is clear that he is leeching off of Roderigo for personal gain. His disorder appears to manifest itself differently depending on the person with whom he is interacting, as shown when he speaks to Emelia and his charming, relatively eloquent exterior melts away into an aggressive, rude figure. This behavioral pattern indicates that Iago is a fundamentally antisocial person, not reacting to a specific negative situation. Iago reveals a good deal about the inner workings of his mind when he states that But for [his] sport and profit. [He] hate[s] the Moor (1.3.386). He relates this to the alleged adultery between his wife and Othello, but when viewed through the lens of antisocial personality disorder, it becomes literally true. A Resident Of South Africa An individual who is not ordinarily resident in South Africa can still be a resident of South Africa provided that person meets the requirements of the physical presence test (Stiglingh, Koekemoer, Van Schalkwyk, Wilcocks e Swardt.2012:51). With the physical presence test, with which a natural person, who is not at any time ordinarily resident in the Republic of South Africa during the relevant year of assessment, must comply before that person will be a resident as defined in section 1. This can further be elaborated by Interpretation Note 4 dated 4 February 2004. The physical presence test, also known as the day test or time rule , is based on the number of days that a natural person is physically present in the Republic. The purpose or nature of the visit is irrelevant. It must be determined annually whether all the requirements of the physical presence test have been met. Paragraph (a) (ii) of the definition of a resident in section 1(1) of the Income Tax Act refers to a natural person who is not at any time during the relevant year of assessment ordinarily resident in the Republic. The ordinarily residence test supersedes the physical presence test. The physical presence test is thus not applicable during any year of assessment that a person is ordinarily resident in the Republic. • 20. The Power Of Language In Cyrano De Bergerac You can t hide everything Complete mastery of a language is challenging for most people, but if one does master it, it can be useful in life. However, it is not in the case for Cyrano, the protagonist in the famous comedy, Cyrano de Bergerac, by Edmond Rostand. Cyrano is a French soldier who can create figurative language with a blink of an eye and De Guiche, Cyrano s colonel, is also a witty person, but is not respected. In this play, Rostand argues that a person with the power of wit cannot conceal their own insecurities. Occasionally, Cyrano unintentionally uses his wit to expose his own insecurities when he feels offended. At the beginning of the play, Cyrano confronted the Meddler when he was staring at his nose, the Meddler said Cyrano s nose was small, very small, infinitesimal . Then, Cyrano uses hit wit to reply, For a great nose indicates a great man,/ Genial, courteous, intellectual,/ Virile, courageous as I am and such/ As you poor wretch will never dare to be / Even in imagination. For that face / That blank, inglourious concavity / Which my right hand finds (Rostand I, 34). First, the meddler is an irrelevant person who stares at Cyrano s nose because it is an abnormally large one. Due to Cyrano s sensitive personality, he believes that the meddler is condescending him. Therefore, Cyrano pressures the Meddler and forces him to say his opinion on Cyrano s nose. The meddler, knowing that Cyrano is ashamed of his large nose, says he has a small nose. Cyrano strangely took that as an insult and started saying fine values of himself. Here, the language of Cyrano depicts insecurity because insecure people are the ones who constantly search to boost self esteem. Telling this to Roxane or other important people is understandable, but to make these remarks to the Meddler proves that his insecurities are at another level. Then, Cyrano describes the Meddler s face as a blank, inglorious concavity , which means a plain, pointless face with a huge chin(I, 34). Here, Cyrano desperately tries to hide his insecurity by using his wit to degrade the Meddler. This makes the Meddler feel insecure because Cyrano called him ugly. • 21. Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep Character Analysis Diminishing Difference Between Humans and Androids Throughout Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, author Philip K. Dick explored the effect empathy had on the characters. In the novel, bounty hunters Voigt Kampff Test measured empathy, and if a person was found to fail the test, that person was considered to be an android (Dick 44). As a result of this method, the humans had ironically become the less empathetic, which resulted in androids becoming closer to human by default. Dick explored the declining empathy of humans by looking at what they have resorted to in order to identify androids. The Voigt Kampff Test was a vital tool to the bounty hunters tasked with finding and retiring illegal androids (57); however, the test itself was calculating and cold, only able to deliver a yes or no, fail or pass, 0 or 1 (46). New resistance mechanisms may spread globally and limit our ability to treat disease and lead to a giant hole in the pillars of modern medicine. The immense increase in antibiotic resistance can be attributed to many factors. Along with spontaneous gene mutation, natural selection, and cell to cell gene transfer, humans play a huge part in the worsening of the epidemic. The Union of Concerned Scientists estimated in 2001 that more that seventy percent of the antibiotics used in the United States are given to food animals without disease to increase growth and decrease probability of mortality; medicine is used ensure and maximize profit. • 37. Midsummer Night s Dream Love Sitting on a porch swing with one s true love hugging and kissing as the moon smiles down upon them, seems like the perfect situation for true love. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. Shakespeare presents the truth about true love in his comical tragedy A Midsummer Night s Dream. Lysander clearly stated loves situation when he told Hermia the course of true love never did run smooth (Griffiths 94). In order to get what he wants, Oberon is going to punish [Titania] by putting the juice of Cupid s flower on her eyelids so that when she wakes up she will fall in love with a hideous creature (Garner 87). Puck turns Bottom into a donkey and he becomes Titania s love, which pleases Oberon. When Oberon reverses the spell and Titania realizes her actions, she subsides to his desires. Oberon successfully taunts her into obedience (Garner 87). Shakespear shows that love can cause jealousy, which in turn can cause a person to resort ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
