The Immigration Reform And Control Act (IRCA) By President...
In 1986 The Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) was signed into law by President Reagan.
The law was envisioned to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to update and reform the
immigration laws. The bill attempted to make both sides of the aisle happy by giving funding to
border patrol and creating a pathway to citizen for illegal immigrants. At the time in the country there
was an increased concern about illegal immigration while balancing the need for cheap labor in the
economy. The bill provided temporary resident status for aliens who resided continuously and lawfully
in the United States prior to January 1, 1982 (Summary, 1989). After 18 months it allowed those
temporary residents to become permanent residents if they showed

Normal Business Contracts
As in normal business contracts, offer should be first existing between two parties alongside the
acceptance. Offer is accepting the terms of negotiation and discussion after an invitation to treat. The
external look of an offer and invitation of treat sometimes look the same and hard to differentiate but
different by the core means of commercial law. So what is difference between offer and invitation of
treat? As Guenter Heinz Treitel defines offer as an expression of willingness to contract on certain
terms, made with the intention that it shall become binding as soon as it is accepted by the person to
whom it is addressed, the offeree 1. It is a statement of terms and conditions of that will be passed to
the offeree. It might be passed through letters, newspaper and advertisement. While Andrew Burrows
defines the invitation of treat as an expression of willingness to negotiate. A person making an
invitation of treats does not intend to bind as soon as it is acceptable by the person to whom the
statement is addressed 2 The difference between an offer and invitation of treat is that if offeree
accepts an offer from the offerer, both created a bound of contract while if supplier accepts an
invitation of treat from the client to negotiate and discuss terms they created an offer. So the difference
is between both subjects is the legal binds of contract formation. It depends also solely on the
promisor s intention. Among the history, several case studies prove

Mary Adare In Louise Erdrich s The Beet Queen
In Louise Erdrich s novel, The Beet Queen, past events affected each character differently. Mary
Adare is affected in both positive and negative ways. When Adelaide, Mary s mother, abandoned
Mary, Karl, and their baby brother, Mary became very stubborn. However she also assumed
responsibility over her two brothers. Her strong will became a negative trait for her. This is shown in
the novel right after Adelaide leaves. Mary s baby brother begins to cry because he is hungry. Several
new mothers offer to take Mary s brother to feed him, but Mary refuses to give her brother to them.
However, her assumed role of caretaker forces her to realize that the baby will starve if she does not
find a way to feed him soon. This leads her to make a very difficult

Marshall Manson is the managing director of social media, and he gave a great presentation to us for
the business visit at Ogilvy. His background is extensive and quite impressive. The social media
department is responsible for creating campaigns for each of their clients to expand their brand. One
of the examples
Manson showed us in his presentation was the campaign he and his team created for Coca Cola. The
Islamic tradition Ramadan was the basis for this campaign. Muslims that celebrate Ramadan usually
work a half a day, get off early and go home and have a celebration. So Manson and his team came up
with a campaign that would benefit from the Ramadan tradition. Their strategy was to show the heart
wrenching ad in the afternoon when most Muslims were in their homes watching television or on the
internet. When he told us the story behind this campaign and how much work went into it, I was
instantly hooked. This is exactly what I want to do. Work on campaigns, ads, and work with a team
that would challenge my creativity. Manson was great at presenting the information. He gave us tips
on how to get into the PR field. Before Manson joined Ogilvy he worked for Edelman. Marshall
worked in U.S. political campaigns and for several communications firms also. He is an asset to any
company he represents.

Japanese Female Apparel Market For Japanese Women Essay
While the bubbly outfits with overflowing laces and floral patterns that highlight the soft and sensitive
characteristics once dominated the female apparel market in Japan, nowadays, Japanese women prefer
balancing out the femininity with some stylish mannish clothing. Figure 3, where the woman matched
her black lace dress and high heels with an olive green military jacket, perfectly exemplifies the chic
甘辛ミックスコーデ (The sweet and sexy coordinates) adored by many Japanese female consumers.
The concept of 甘辛ミックス is so well received in Japan because it spices up the overall look with
an exquisite aesthetic balance. Known for wanting to break away from the mainstream, young
Japanese female quickly adopted MA 1 jacket and the girly military look as a mean to expressive their
individualism in contradiction to social norms. As a result, MA 1 jacket has slowly become a
wardrobe staple for Japanese young women.
Another significant aspect of MA 1 jacket that helps it secure its top ranked position is its ability to
casual down a dressy outfit. Directly translated from the Japanese made English word, カジュアルダ
ウン, casualing down coordinates means to dress down, or to break down the formality of fancy
clothing (FASHION PRESS). A notable change in style has swept over Japan when people began to
embrace apparels that value both comfort and personal style. According to a survey conducted by

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome During Pregnancy
Fetal alcohol syndrome is caused by the consumption of alcoholic beverages during the 9 months of
pregnancy. It used to be believed that a small amount of alcohol during pregnancy was safe, and
maybe even healthy, but now researchers are starting to find that no amount of alcohol is safe during
pregnancy. Even though researchers now know that even small amounts of alcohol could harm
fetuses, doctors are still telling women that it s ok to drink during pregnancy. It s estimated that each
year in the U.S., 1 in every 750 infants is born with fetal alcohol syndrome.
Fetal alcohol syndrome is a completely preventable birth defect. The best prevention is to avoid all
amounts of alcohol during pregnancy. Even one sip of alcohol during those 9 months

Persuasive Essay On Forgiveness
In a biblical manner, forgiveness roughly translates to letting go . Instead of holding a grudge to the
offender, we should give them pardon. In Luke 11:4, we are given the passage of: And forgive us our
sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver
us from evil. Jesus used an example of this when comparing a person seeking repayment from a debt
found in Matthew 18:23 35. Likewise, the act of forgiving does not come easy. In order to begin the
journey of forgiveness, one should first let go of any resentment towards the particular person or
situation that is causing destress. Once the resentment is gone, one can attempt to abandon the notion
of being rewarded for their loss whether financial, personal, or something else. Forgiveness also
entails benefits that can improve health and increase our progress towards living a wholesome
Christian life. Proverbs 14:30 tells us that a heart with a peace and calmness in it gives life to the body
but one with jealousy and bitterness leads to wrong desires similar to rotting bones. However, the
greatest part to forgiving others is to exemplify how God forgave us for our own sins. In order to be
forgiven by God, we must forgive people for their sins. If we fail to do this though, God will not
forgive us for our sins (Matthew 6:14 15). 2 Peter 1:10 dictates that Christians should be more eager in
making their calling and election since doing these makes sure that we will never fail. Our calling is
God s salvation for us while our election is God picking us to be saved. Since God called and elected
on us from his own glory and goodness, we must serve as examples to others by pursuing Godly
virtues while actively living in a Christian lifestyle. Numerous people struggle in letting go of their
respective past and carry on their baggage into their future. Not only does this prevent them from
growing, it prevents them from achieving a happy life. As we interact with people similar to this, we
can show them that they too can be resolved from their past issues.
Personally, I forgive pretty easily as I think holding grudges is a waste of time and does not
accomplish anything positive. However, I did have a hard time

Essay On Asian American Culture
Understanding of the different cultural and racial population is important for counselors to recognize
and consider in counseling. Due to the various approaches that should be taken when dealing with
different cultures. Our textbook states Counseling without attention or respect to the critical
differences of diversity will likely not be successful. (Clinton Ohlschlager pg. 617) It is like you must
put their shoes on, within the context of culture for the counselor to be effective. For example, when
dealing with Asian clients they are very likely to have intense familial relationships. This contrasts
with modern day United States American culture; our culture is centered on the self, not the us.
Some of the Cultural psychosocial issues for Asian cultures are. Stress and conflict dealing with the

The Order Fulfillment Procedure For Cup Of Joe
Project Overview
For our Gemba project, we decided to analyze the order fulfillment procedure for Cup of Joe, a coffee
shop located in the Lennox Town Center. In order to capture the establishment s peak hours of
business, we primarily visited during the hours of 9:00am 12:00pm. We focused our attention on
orders for baked goods, coffee, and espresso drinks, as these products are the shop s main source of
revenue and reputation. On several separate mornings we were able to observe an average of 125
orders over three hours (a takt time of 1.44 minutes). In the evening, there were often less than a
dozen orders every hour. Since every order is slightly different, we have described the average order
and the steps in the process that are consistent in almost every situation. We have identified multiple
areas for improvement, which are referenced in the sections entitled analysis and recommendations.
When waking up to Cup of Joe, customers are welcomed by a large statue of a coffee cup on the roof
of the building. After entering the shop, customers walk up to the counter directly in front of them.
The first section of the counter displays all of the baked goods on a glass shelf. The customer
continues walking down this aisle until he or she reaches the cash register, labeled above by a sign
reading Order Here. The customer places an order and proceeds down the aisle to the station labeled

The Comparison Of Eros And Energy By William Blake
Now that the definitions of Eros and Energy have been clarified, its essential to explore the apparent
similarities that both terms hold. Both Eros and Energy associate with this creative energy that exist in
the elaborate confines of our mental facilities and both harbor opposing force that suppresses them to
which Freud and Blake find this suppression of desire to be harmful for the individual. From direct
quotation, it is proven that libido is a manifestation of the power of Eros (Freud 109). As previously
mentioned, libido then is the source of desire that becomes this creative energy though sublimation
and this powers the creative pursuits that develop civilization. This mirror s William Blake s Energy
since both contain a similar source of desire. Blake s view on Energy being a desire comes out when
he describes Energy to be restrained, it by degrees becomes passive, till it is only a shadow of Desire
(Blake 5). From this Blake admits that Energy in a sense a form of desire that every individual has.
Blake doesn t stop at this as he sees the importance of this desire to be executed. This is realized
thought his Proverbs of Hell, where he reveals, Sooner murder an infant in its cradle than nurse
unacted desires (Blake 10). Blake is conveying the significance of acting on desires and this
showcases the extent of his belief. Considering Blake has compared unacted desires to the murder of
an infant. Correlating the value of a life to be less of an

Heinrich Boll s Context and Lost Honour
Long Essay The Lost Honour of Katharina Blum
Authors often use characters within their novels to show the consequences of challenging cultural
boundaries and, in turn, display their own personal concerns. It is not uncommon for characters to
reflect an author s ideology regarding social groups in their contemporary time periods. It is clear that
this is certainly the case with the 1975 novel The Lost Honour of Katharina Blum, (also referred to as
How Violence Develops and Where it Can Lead), written by the German Author, Heinrich Boll. The
Lost Honour is, on the surface, an attack on yellow journalism and the damage it causes to the lives of
the people reported on. However, with a more in depth analysis of the novel we are able to see ...

Not only does it imply that Blum is a criminal but also that she is not smart enough to organize the
crime itself. Ultimately Blum defies this suggestion by committing the crime of murder without any
help from a male companion. In the process Blum is being punished for going past cultural boundaries
by her incarceration for the murder of Totges. When looking at Bolls political views it is clear that he
has a deep concern for inequality of power. His time spent in Germany during the Nazi reign has led
him to distrust dictatorship, the ultimate form of unequal power. In relation with the treatment of Blum
in The Lost Honour his inability to except the unequal power in society has led him to oppose the
patriarchal society in which contemporary Germany was in at that point in time. The treatment of
Blum after her struggle to break free from her expected social role demonstrates Bolls understanding
of the problems faced by women and his deep concerns relating to them.
Personal experiences in relation to the male characters in The Lost Honour demonstrate Bolls inability
to accept the social power held by strong male figures and their abusing of this power. It is clear that it
is the males that hold all the power within The Lost Honour through the delegation of occupations.

Statistics Regarding The Use Of Tasers In The Chicago...
Just this April, the city s Police Accountability Task Force found that the Chicago Police Department
has no regard for the sanctity of life when it comes to people of color. Chicago s population is 31.7%
white, 32.9% Black, 28.9% Latino, and 5.5% Asian. However, the Task Force reported that the city s
police officers shoot Black residents at significantly disproportionate rates. Between 2008 and 2015,
of all people injured or killed in police related shootings, 74% were Black, 14% were Hispanic, 8%
were white and less than 1% were Asian. The report found almost identical numbers when it came to
statistics regarding the use of Tasers. The report also analyzed all people stopped by police during the

It is one that everyone is familiar with due to its high profile coverage. Although this incident occurred
in St. Louis, Missouri, it is very relevant to police shootings all over the country. As a short recap,
police officer Darren Wilson shot and killed unarmed teen Michael Brown. Ultimately, Darren Wilson
was not charged with any crime. Wilson, like many officers before him, argued that he was afraid for
his life and therefore used his weapon in self defense. Unfortunately, this argument has been heard
many times after Michael Brown s death as well. When Laquan McDonald was shot and killed in
Chicago in 2014, Jason Van Dyke feared for his life ; dash camera footage, though, showed otherwise.
Police personnel and city officials even went so far in this cover up as to pay Laquan s mother
millions of dollars not to speak to the media about what happened. Although video of the shooting was
available in 2014, the video itself was not released to the public until late 2015, after Rahm was re
elected to mayoral office. As more details surfaced, it then became clear to the public that not only did
the officers and top law enforcement attempt to hide this incident, but the Cook County State s
Attorney was also involved. I argue that had there been more diversity on the force, or in the very least
sensitivity training, maybe these officers would have seen a person and been more compassionate,
instead of seeing a threat and

The Teachings Of The Bible
The definition of faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see . My
definition of faith is that it s your spiritual beliefs and it s a strong belief in a personal God . My
religion is Christianity . I believe that God has revealed himself and can be known in a personal way
in life . When we have Jesus Christ we do not focus on the religious rituals or performing good works
, we enjoy getting a relationship with God and growing a powerful bond so that we can get to know
him better . The Bible is the account of God s action in the world , and his purpose with all creation
.The Bible contains the message God desired . I believe that the Bible was written as a message to
humankind to guide us in the right path to success. I believe the Bible is inspiration . It s inerrant and
infallible meaning it s without error and unable to fail. The Holy Bible is the only accurate Bible from
the word of God . It determines all the doctrinal truths . God is existent in three persons Father , Son
(Jesus ) and the Holy Spirit . They are coequal and co eternal . The Holy Spirit is filled beyond the
limit because God was the only person to live a sinless life . A scripture I grew up on was The Lord is
my Shepherd , I shall not want comes from the 23rd Psalm and the Old Testament. The scripture
means that they had the lord as they shepherd and we will not lack the basic needs of life : like food ,
shelter , and clothing. Instead of going insane about

Original Interpretations Of Experimental Results Regarding...
Original interpretations of experimental results regarding brain function
Throughout the most recent decade, numerous studies and research have been produced on measure
diverse parts for disposition into equine brain function that can contribute to stereotypical behaviour.
It could be said that a horse s demeanor might possibly determine its achievement in a particular
discipline or given type of work (Mills, 1998) since it is the mixture of a winning temperament and the
phenomenal physical abilities that makes it an winning competitor (Visser et al, 2001).
This will be the reason people throughout history have searched for horses with certain characteristics
that could determine temperament and the ability for the suitableness of their intended use (Mills,
1998).
Therefore, temperament aspects have additionally been an objective when reproducing for ability and
sport purposes (Morris et al, 2002). To expand the predominance of preferred temperament and
character aspects in the horse population, it could be said that it could be used as a reproduction target.
Modern Training Techniques
Horses who are in training are more prone to developing ulcers Malmkuist et al., 2012, suggested that
stress induced the relinquishment of endogerious cortisol thus incrementing the jeopardy of ulceration.
Low forage diets often leave the horse with empty stomachs, thus exposing the horse to

by finding the weighted average cost of capital (WACC). Then by forecasting the cash flows of each
project and discounting them by the WACC to find the net present value, or by solving for the internal
rate of return, we should be able to see which projects Star should undertake.

The current year is 1979, so from Exhibit 3 the 1980 dividend is forecasted to be $1.70, and the stock
price in 1979 is $22.50. This gives a dividend yield of 7.56%, which is added to g. There are four
ways to solve for g:
• Dividend Growth Rate: Using the dividend schedule data in exhibit 6, g = 4.46%
• Capital Gains Yield: I was able to find the stock prices by multiplying the P/E ratio times EPS, both
of which are found in exhibit 6. g = 1.90%
• EPS Growth Rate: These values are also found in exhibit 6, leading to g = 5.55%
• Reinvestment Returns: I found b (the reinvestment rate) by using exhibit 1 to calculate the
percentage of net income per share of common stock that is paid out in dividends, and subtracting it
from 1 to solve for the percentage reinvested. The return on equity, k , is found by dividing net income
(exhibit 1) by book value (exhibit 2). G = b*k shows g = 8.14%.
Now to find the return on equity (ROE), I chose to add the average of the Dividend Growth and the
Earnings Per Share Growth and use that as g. I decided that the Capital Gains Yield was much too low
compared to the other values of g that I found and should be discarded from further calculations,
considering it to be an outlier. The Reinvestment Returns yielded a value for g that is a little on the
high end, but it is only based on

I Am Number Four Book Report
I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore is about a boy named Number Four. Number Four and eight
others escaped their planet Lorien, during an invasion. Now, they are in hiding from the people that
destroyed their planet. All is well except, the nine people that escaped had powers and can not be
killed out of order by the people that destroyed their planet. One through three were captured, and
killed and Number Four is next. He has hid his whole life, and he s ready to fight back. He is tired of
hiding and is ready to fight for his planet back.
I found this book to be very entertaining and well written. I really loved how the author wrote about
the invasion throughout the book instead of right in the beginning. I loved how well the characters
were developed. Number Four was developed as a shy kid that isn t afraid to stand up for himself. His
new friend was developed as a paranoid nerd, and lastly, his love interest was developed as a strong,
and independent girl that was an avid photographer and wasn t afraid to stand up for herself. I loved
the point of view because the story was narrated through Number Four s eyes and I felt as though I ...

I am not personally a fan of science fiction however, I was really enjoying the book, even though it is
highly unbelievable. I would rate this book a 7 because I don t particularly enjoy science fiction, but
this book always kept me on edge. I loved how the characters were developed more and more
throughout the book. I felt like I was in the story and felt the same hate towards the bullies that
Number Four felt. Also, I loved the setting and how I was more and more informed about Paradise as
well as Number Four s old home. I decided to read this book because my brother had said it was very
good, and he isn t a fan of science fiction either. I think that people that love a good mystery, and love
a good cliff hanger every chapter, they would really enjoy I am Number

Intel Antitrust
Intel Corporation is a technology company out of Santa Clara, California and is one of the world s
highest valued chipmakers and very well known microprocessors. A micro processer is to a computer
what a brain is to a person. They were investigated for antitrust behavior after there were reports that
that Intel was paying Dell large sums of money so that they would force customers not use a specific
original equipment manufacturer Advanced Micro Device on their computers. Intel of course denies
any and all reports of wrongdoing and even justified their actions to be beneficial to consumers. This
was not the first or last time the multi billion dollar company was told they are not playing a business
fair monopoly. Even the Federal trade commission has accused Intel of abusing their market power.

Irons In A Golf Club
Golf clubs are sold in sets and individually. For beginning players, the set of clubs provides a good
selection of what is needed to start in a package that is normally priced nicely. Before choosing a set
of golf clubs honestly assess your playing interest in the game. You may want to start out with a lower
priced set until you determine if you like the game enough to play often. All golf manufacturers offer
golf club sets. The typical set of golf clubs consists of one or two woods, a driver, 4 irons a putter and
a sand wedge or pitching wedge. The most used irons are the 3, 5, 7 and 9 irons. Most beginning
players won t notice much difference between the others.
Clubs are made with different materials for the shafts. The material determines how the club will react
and how much flexibility there is in the club. Graphite shafts are lightweight and can help add speed to
the swing. They have a softer flex and are a good choice for junior players as well as women. Steel
shafts are stiff ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A new golfer need not be concerned with cutting edge technology when it comes to clubs. Instead,
focus on the basics. Set a budget before heading to the golf store so that you don t go beyond what you

typically better to purchase a smaller set of better made golf clubs than to buy a large set of cheaper
models. Remember that a good set of golf clubs will last a lifetime. You can always add more clubs to

In this paper, we aim to fill what we, as researchers and teachers in qualitative psychology, have
experienced as a current gap: the absence of a paper which adequately outlines the theory, application,
and evaluation of thematic analysis, and one which does so in a way accessible to students and those
not particularly familiar with qualitative research. 1 That is, we aim to write a paper which will be
useful as both a teaching and research tool in qualitative psychology. Therefore, in this paper we
discuss theory and method for thematic analysis, and clarify the similarities and differences between
different approaches that share features in common with a thematic approach.
Qualitative approaches are incredibly diverse, complex and nuanced (Holloway Todres, 2003), and
thematic analysis should be seen as a foundational method for qualitative analysis. It is the first
qualitative method of analysis that researchers should learn, as it provides core skills that will be
useful for conducting many other forms of qualitative analysis. Indeed, Holloway and Todres (2003:
347) identify thematizing meanings as one of a few shared generic skills across qualitative analysis.2
For this reason, Boyatzis (1998) characterises it not as a specific method but as a tool to use across
different methods. Similarly, Ryan and Bernard (2000) locate thematic coding as a process performed
within „major‟ analytic traditions (such as grounded theory), rather than a

The Importance Of Boy Scouts
One of the biggest influences in my life has been scouting. I have been in Boy Scouts for as long as I
can remember, and the entirety of it has made me a better person. It has taught me many things such as
cooperation, responsibility, and leadership. Scouting has lead me to some fantastic places, like Japan. I
do not know what my life could possibly be like if I was never in scouting. Being a part of the Boy
Scouts has lead me to some truly amazing places. The most amazing was the island nation of Japan.
While I was in Japan I attended the twenty third World Scout Jamboree. It was a massive event, with
over twenty five thousand people from one hundred and thirty eight countries in attendance. While
there, I was able to have conversations with people from many of these different countries. I was able
to connect with people, and discuss important issues in the world. We also visited Hiroshima and
remembered all of those who died. Another really fun aspect that Jamboree offered was, patch trading.
Everyone brought patches to trade, and it was really fun because both participants of a trade could be
giving away something that they thought was worthless while the other thought it was a super cool
patch. It was amazing to me that in today s world that no matter your background, everyone can come
together to have a fun time with other scouts. Scouting as also has given me some really fun
experiences. It has helped me to live life to the fullest. With scouting I have been able to

Angela Davis is best known for being a political activist for social issues as well as being a member of
the Black Panther Party and Communist party. Davis is well educated and received wide attention
when she was fired from UCLA for being a member in the communist party. She also received wide
attention when a takeover in a courtroom which killed several people by a gun was registered under
her name. She was put on trial and acquitted for murder but found not guilty. In the past few years, she
has been focusing on fighting against the prison system. She is the founder of Critical Resistance, a

been an huge increase in prisons and prisoners and presents her argument on the reasons why prisons
have increased such as the Prison Industrial Complex in which she explains in chapter five. This
chapter helps gives you a preview of what Davis will be talking about throughout the book. In chapter
two, slavery, civil rights, and abolitionist perspectives toward prison,, Davis provides a connection of
slavery and prison institutions. She provides an insight in a way that I have never thought about
prisons before. Davis reflects back on history and explains how slavery has not ended yet but has
change. She explains how even though slavery is abolition. before slavery was normal just how
prisons are normal to us. Overtime, we may change our views about prisons and come to the
conclusion to abolish prisons. In chapter three, imprisonment and reform, Davis explains the means of
imprisonment and what reform has to do with it. Davis argues that prisons are obsolete because they
are undemocratic because they take away human rights such as the 13th amendment. She argues that a
democracy would not need prisons and many social problems would be fix. Prisons are a way of
social control in which exploits

Joseph Smith and the Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter...
It was in the year 1820 in Palmyra, New York that Joseph Smith went into a forest near his house and
prayed to God for the knowledge of what religion he should be apart of. Suddenly God the Father and
His Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to him giving him the faith that was lost so long ago to be carried on.
He was now given the faith from Jesus Christ himself to pass onto others that had once been lost.
Joseph Smith was chosen to restore the Church of Jesus Christ. In the next decade Joseph Smith
published the Book of Mormon, based on the golden plates that he said an angel had given him
(Ayers). Then started setting up the Latter day Saints Church. He did this on April 6th, 1830, in New
York. Joseph Smith was seen as the leader of the new faith of Mormonism.
Beliefs of the Latter day Saints:
Church: The Latter day Saints believe in a loving, personal God as our heavenly Father. Since He is
the Father of our spirits, all people are His children and thus all people are brothers and sisters
(Mormon Newsroom). The church/organization is led by a prophet which is the president of the
church as well as 2 councilors. In church the leaders do not aspire to church positions but rather
respond to callings . They believe God was once mortal as well as that Lucifer was Jesus s brother.
Therefore one has both a bad side and a good. When being apart of the church, one must give 10% of
their income to them for the tithe to build God s Kingdom upon earth like it once was. Church s

Legality Of The Threat Or Use Of Nuclear Weapons
Legality of the Threat or Use of Nuclear Weapons , Advisory Opinion, was first brought to the
attention of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) by the World Health Organization (WHO) on
September 3, 1993. The ICJ did not decide on the matter at that time because they felt that the WHO
was ultra vires, or acting outside its legal capacity. On December 15, 1994 the United Nations General

Similarities Between Communism And Fascism
The Goal of the Leader
Communism, Fascism, and religion were the prominent political ideologies of the twentieth century.
Each political ideology had different views on how to deal with the modern world. Communism and
Fascism were created in a time when the nations state was the most important thing for citizens.
Communist leaders rejected the idea of the state, while fascism embraced it. Iranian leaders were
primarily focused with Shi a, a sect of Islam, which was unique compared to the outside world. In
dealing with the modern views of the time the political leaders based their movements on people or a
concept, while causing a common enemy. Due to the time periods and the location in which the
political ideologies occurred the leaders of the movements had different enemies, but the bases of
communism, fascism, and Iranian Shi as is similar. Communism started in Russia, 1912 but did not
become the official ruling party until 1918. V.I. Lenin was one of the founders ... Show more content

One of the key enemies against communism in Russia was capitalism. Capitalist were used
synonymously to name the group of people who were to blame for the peasants being poor and not

which is against communist ideology. The primary message of communism is that there is no private
ownership because everyone works together, not for himself or herself. The other primary enemy
against communism occurring in Russia was the old regime, which was Czarist Russia. Communist
leaders believed the old regime followed the footsteps of capitalism, which is keeping the poor, poor
and solely benefiting the rich. In having modern concepts be deemed the enemy, Communist leaders
of Russia were able to persuade the people of their state to follow their movement to the fullest
potential or they would be deemed helping the

How Broadway Has Changed The Economy, Tourism, And...
We are living in the excesses of freedom. Just take a look at 42nd Street and Broadway.
Broadway has evolved tremendously since its opening, from more theatres to a larger audience. A
numerous amount of plays have been performed that have left unforgettable memories on everyone.
Broadway has made major effective impacts on the economy, tourism, and entertainment industry.
In 1750 when Walter Murray and Thomas Kean decided to open their theatre company on Nassau
Street, is when the origin of Broadway began. Their theatre was only large enough to hold 280
audience members and mostly put on ballad operas and Shakespearian plays because he was popular
during that time. Musicals and theatre moved to Broadway in the middle of the century ... Show more

Broadway began getting more known in 1882 when a family named the Mallory s decided to build the
Madison Square Theatre. Nobody but themselves believed it would remain successful because they
had built it on 29th street which was far out of town where most tourists and business was located. But
to their advantage other attractive entertainment started being built in that section, like The Casino
Theatre, the Abby Theatre, and the Empire Theatre. Since there was so much entertainment it just
attracted everyone to go out of Manhattan. Throughout the years they have managed to build 39
official Broadway Theatres. They also offer Off Broadway shows which are shows that take place in
small theatre that consist of 200 500 seats that will cost you less than watch a show at a Broadway
Theatre. Due to the low prices Off Broadway shows have decreased and if something is not done soon
to increase the popularity again, they might just get taken out forever. During the 1900 s Broadway
was viewed by mainly middle class people who were searching for a date night, some excitement, and
some soothing music. Since it wasn t taken so seriously by the public, the best seats in the theatre
valued from $1.50 to $2.00. Compared to the prices of today, back then they practically paid a penny.
This all is due to the cost of maintenance that they had now in comparison to the price of

The Impact of Public Announcements on the Stock Prices
Allocating the ownership of economy s stock capital is the primary role of capital market. In an ideal
market the price would provide accurate signals for allocation of resources. Ideal market is one in
which firm s production investment decisions and investor s decision regarding securities will depend
on the assumption that the security prices fully reflect available information at any point in time. A
market in which prices always fully reflect available information is called efficient.1
Anamika Sharma (2009) conducted a study to investigate the impact of public announcement of open
offer by testing the semi strong form of efficiency to draw inferences on the efficiency of stock market
through market adjusted abnormal model. The results of the study support that stock market is not
efficient in semi strong form and that open offer created a substantial value for shareholders of
company during the study period.2
S. Basu (1997) tested for the information content of price earnings multiple. He tested to see whether
low P/E stocks outperform stocks with high P/E ratios. If historical P/E ratios provided useful
information for obtaining higher stock returns then it would be refutation of semi strong form of
efficient market hypothesis. His results indicated that low P/E portfolios provided superior returns
relative to the market and high P/E provided inferior returns relative to the market. The results
reported in this paper indicate that P/E ratio information was not fully

Ethical Issues In Huck Finn
Throughout its history, Huck Finn has faced many controversies. It was shunned by many news outlets
at the time of its writing for its subject matter, being called trash by many publications. It was even
banned from some libraries for this reason. However, despite its flaws, Huck Finn proves to be an
entertaining novel that offers an interesting look into pre Civil war America, and should be freely
avaliable for all to read. Despite its inherent value as an examination of its time, many people had a
problem with the manner in which it was portrayed. One of these apparent issues was noted by a
censor of the Concord public library, who called into question the use of the dialect and grammatical
style of the book. To quote the New York Herald, who were reporting on the situation, Another
committeeman perused the volume with great care and discovered that it was couched in the language
of a rough, ignorant dialect and that all through its pages there is a systematic use of bad grammar and
an employment of inelegant expressions. These mannerisms, combined with other offenses, led to the
book garnering a trashy reputation in the eyes of the censors, who quickly banned it from their library.
however, to view these mannerisms as trashy and nothing more would be to misunderstand a large
portion of the novel s appeal. This novel is a period piece, set in the south before the onset of the Civil
War. In order to fully immerse the reader into this setting, Twain made sure to include all of the
different dialects that a person in that setting might hear. As the Athenaeum deftly explains, (The
characters are) schooled in half a dozen extraordinary dialects the Pike County dialect in all its forms,
the dialect of the Missouri negro, and the extremest form of the backwoods South Western dialect, to
wit. This makes the story and characters more entertaining, as it allows the reader to truly immerse
themselves into the narrative. However, some would argue that this immersion isn t entertaining in it s
own right. These people would say that, despite its the lengths it take to immerse you in its story, it s
generally coarse nature would drive off anyone who would try to endure it for more than five minutes.

So what is difference between offer and invitation of treat? As Guenter Heinz Treitel defines offer as an expression of willingness to contract on certain terms, made with the intention that it shall become binding as soon as it is accepted by the person to whom it is addressed, the offeree 1. It is a statement of terms and conditions of that will be passed to the offeree. It might be passed through letters, newspaper and advertisement. • 11. Persuasive Essay On Forgiveness In a biblical manner, forgiveness roughly translates to letting go . Instead of holding a grudge to the offender, we should give them pardon. In Luke 11:4, we are given the passage of: And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Jesus used an example of this when comparing a person seeking repayment from a debt found in Matthew 18:23 35. Likewise, the act of forgiving does not come easy. In order to begin the journey of forgiveness, one should first let go of any resentment towards the particular person or situation that is causing destress. Once the resentment is gone, one can attempt to abandon the notion of being rewarded for their loss whether financial, personal, or something else. Forgiveness also entails benefits that can improve health and increase our progress towards living a wholesome Christian life. Proverbs 14:30 tells us that a heart with a peace and calmness in it gives life to the body but one with jealousy and bitterness leads to wrong desires similar to rotting bones. However, the greatest part to forgiving others is to exemplify how God forgave us for our own sins. In order to be forgiven by God, we must forgive people for their sins. If we fail to do this though, God will not forgive us for our sins (Matthew 6:14 15). 2 Peter 1:10 dictates that Christians should be more eager in making their calling and election since doing these makes sure that we will never fail. Our calling is God s salvation for us while our election is God picking us to be saved. Since God called and elected on us from his own glory and goodness, we must serve as examples to others by pursuing Godly virtues while actively living in a Christian lifestyle. Numerous people struggle in letting go of their respective past and carry on their baggage into their future. Not only does this prevent them from growing, it prevents them from achieving a happy life. As we interact with people similar to this, we can show them that they too can be resolved from their past issues. Personally, I forgive pretty easily as I think holding grudges is a waste of time and does not accomplish anything positive. However, I did have a hard time ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. The Order Fulfillment Procedure For Cup Of Joe Project Overview For our Gemba project, we decided to analyze the order fulfillment procedure for Cup of Joe, a coffee shop located in the Lennox Town Center. In order to capture the establishment s peak hours of business, we primarily visited during the hours of 9:00am 12:00pm. We focused our attention on orders for baked goods, coffee, and espresso drinks, as these products are the shop s main source of revenue and reputation. On several separate mornings we were able to observe an average of 125 orders over three hours (a takt time of 1.44 minutes). In the evening, there were often less than a dozen orders every hour. Since every order is slightly different, we have described the average order and the steps in the process that are consistent in almost every situation. We have identified multiple areas for improvement, which are referenced in the sections entitled analysis and recommendations. When waking up to Cup of Joe, customers are welcomed by a large statue of a coffee cup on the roof of the building. After entering the shop, customers walk up to the counter directly in front of them. The first section of the counter displays all of the baked goods on a glass shelf. The customer continues walking down this aisle until he or she reaches the cash register, labeled above by a sign reading Order Here. Both Eros and Energy associate with this creative energy that exist in the elaborate confines of our mental facilities and both harbor opposing force that suppresses them to which Freud and Blake find this suppression of desire to be harmful for the individual. From direct quotation, it is proven that libido is a manifestation of the power of Eros (Freud 109). As previously mentioned, libido then is the source of desire that becomes this creative energy though sublimation and this powers the creative pursuits that develop civilization. This mirror s William Blake s Energy since both contain a similar source of desire. Blake s view on Energy being a desire comes out when he describes Energy to be restrained, it by degrees becomes passive, till it is only a shadow of Desire (Blake 5). From this Blake admits that Energy in a sense a form of desire that every individual has. Blake doesn t stop at this as he sees the importance of this desire to be executed. This is realized thought his Proverbs of Hell, where he reveals, Sooner murder an infant in its cradle than nurse unacted desires (Blake 10). Heinrich Boll s Context and Lost Honour Long Essay The Lost Honour of Katharina Blum Authors often use characters within their novels to show the consequences of challenging cultural boundaries and, in turn, display their own personal concerns. It is not uncommon for characters to reflect an author s ideology regarding social groups in their contemporary time periods. It is clear that this is certainly the case with the 1975 novel The Lost Honour of Katharina Blum, (also referred to as How Violence Develops and Where it Can Lead), written by the German Author, Heinrich Boll. When looking at Bolls political views it is clear that he has a deep concern for inequality of power. His time spent in Germany during the Nazi reign has led him to distrust dictatorship, the ultimate form of unequal power. In relation with the treatment of Blum in The Lost Honour his inability to except the unequal power in society has led him to oppose the patriarchal society in which contemporary Germany was in at that point in time. The treatment of Blum after her struggle to break free from her expected social role demonstrates Bolls understanding of the problems faced by women and his deep concerns relating to them. Wilson, like many officers before him, argued that he was afraid for his life and therefore used his weapon in self defense. Unfortunately, this argument has been heard many times after Michael Brown s death as well. When Laquan McDonald was shot and killed in Chicago in 2014, Jason Van Dyke feared for his life ; dash camera footage, though, showed otherwise. There are four ways to solve for g: • Dividend Growth Rate: Using the dividend schedule data in exhibit 6, g = 4.46% • Capital Gains Yield: I was able to find the stock prices by multiplying the P/E ratio times EPS, both of which are found in exhibit 6. g = 1.90% • EPS Growth Rate: These values are also found in exhibit 6, leading to g = 5.55% • Reinvestment Returns: I found b (the reinvestment rate) by using exhibit 1 to calculate the percentage of net income per share of common stock that is paid out in dividends, and subtracting it from 1 to solve for the percentage reinvested. The return on equity, k , is found by dividing net income (exhibit 1) by book value (exhibit 2). G = b*k shows g = 8.14%. Therefore, in this paper we discuss theory and method for thematic analysis, and clarify the similarities and differences between different approaches that share features in common with a thematic approach. Qualitative approaches are incredibly diverse, complex and nuanced (Holloway Todres, 2003), and thematic analysis should be seen as a foundational method for qualitative analysis. It is the first qualitative method of analysis that researchers should learn, as it provides core skills that will be useful for conducting many other forms of qualitative analysis. In an ideal market the price would provide accurate signals for allocation of resources. Ideal market is one in which firm s production investment decisions and investor s decision regarding securities will depend on the assumption that the security prices fully reflect available information at any point in time. A market in which prices always fully reflect available information is called efficient.1 Anamika Sharma (2009) conducted a study to investigate the impact of public announcement of open offer by testing the semi strong form of efficiency to draw inferences on the efficiency of stock market through market adjusted abnormal model. The results of the study support that stock market is not efficient in semi strong form and that open offer created a substantial value for shareholders of company during the study period.2 S. Basu (1997) tested for the information content of price earnings multiple. He tested to see whether low P/E stocks outperform stocks with high P/E ratios. If historical P/E ratios provided useful information for obtaining higher stock returns then it would be refutation of semi strong form of efficient market hypothesis. His results indicated that low P/E portfolios provided superior returns relative to the market and high P/E provided inferior returns relative to the market. The results reported in this paper indicate that P/E ratio information was not fully ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. Ethical Issues In Huck Finn Throughout its history, Huck Finn has faced many controversies. It was shunned by many news outlets at the time of its writing for its subject matter, being called trash by many publications. It was even banned from some libraries for this reason. However, despite its flaws, Huck Finn proves to be an entertaining novel that offers an interesting look into pre Civil war America, and should be freely avaliable for all to read. Despite its inherent value as an examination of its time, many people had a problem with the manner in which it was portrayed. One of these apparent issues was noted by a censor of the Concord public library, who called into question the use of the dialect and grammatical style of the book. To quote the New York Herald, who were reporting on the situation, Another committeeman perused the volume with great care and discovered that it was couched in the language of a rough, ignorant dialect and that all through its pages there is a systematic use of bad grammar and an employment of inelegant expressions. These mannerisms, combined with other offenses, led to the book garnering a trashy reputation in the eyes of the censors, who quickly banned it from their library. however, to view these mannerisms as trashy and nothing more would be to misunderstand a large portion of the novel s appeal. This novel is a period piece, set in the south before the onset of the Civil War. In order to fully immerse the reader into this setting, Twain made sure to include all of the different dialects that a person in that setting might hear. As the Athenaeum deftly explains, (The characters are) schooled in half a dozen extraordinary dialects the Pike County dialect in all its forms, the dialect of the Missouri negro, and the extremest form of the backwoods South Western dialect, to wit. This makes the story and characters more entertaining, as it allows the reader to truly immerse themselves into the narrative. However, some would argue that this immersion isn t entertaining in it s own right. These people would say that, despite its the lengths it take to immerse you in its story, it s generally coarse nature would drive off anyone who would try to endure it for more than five minutes. It is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
