The Causes Of The French Revolution
The French Revolution was an insurgency in France from 1789 to 1799. It prompted the finish of the
government, and to many wars. A turning point of occasion in current European history, the French
Revolution started in 1789 and finished in the late 1790s. Louis XVI was executed in 1793.
During the eighteenth Century France was the focus point of despotic government. The French
Monarchs had boundless power and they announced themselves as the Representative of God . Louis
XIV was the type of this view. The French Monarch s drew in themselves in sumptuous and
indulgence at the regal court of Versailles. They delighted in boundless power. By the Letter de
Cachet, they captured any individual whenever and detained them. They gave careful consideration
towards their subjects. After Louis XV, Louis XVI rose the position of authority of France. During that
period, the monetary state of France ended up plainly feeble. Louis XVI was a blameless and basic
man. However, he was affected by his ruler Marie Antoinette who dependably meddled in the state
undertakings.
The Social state of France during the eighteenth century was exceptionally hopeless. The then French
Society was isolated into three classes the Clergy, Nobles and Everyday citizens. The Clergy had a
place with the Main Home. The Pastorate was sub
divided into two gatherings,. the higher clergy and
the lower clergy. The higher clergy possessed the best position in the general public. They dealt with

An Iep Meeting And Learn How The Meeting Is Conducted
I did not have a chance to sit in an IEP meeting and learn how the meeting is conducted. I am curious
to learn the counselor position in an IEP meeting. Due to the time period I started practicum, I was not
able to learn about the high school application process. When I started practicum in February, the
applications for high school were submitted. My site supervisor did not have a classroom lesson to
present while I was completing my hours. I want to learn how to conduct a classroom lesson and
connect that lesson to counseling. Finally, there were not any ACS cases occurring with a student for
me to learn about the ACS process. Because my counselor was busy showing me other counseling
duties, the topic of ACS was not mentioned. Hopefully in internship, I will be able to learn the correct
steps when calling an ACS case.
Extend To Which I Have Met My Learning Goals As stated in the section what I have learned, I have
met a couple of my learning goals. Some of the goals I met was, creating lesson plans for my groups,
demonstrating active listening, determine when to use open or close ended questions, provide useful
information of my students and being mindful of my personal biases. The hardest goal I met and
continue to practice meeting this goal is being mindful of my personal biases. I practice being mindful
by being aware of my personal biases. Usually, when I do not agree with different perspective from
mine, I make facial expression showing my disapproval. Also, I would

Issue Paper: Computer Aided Mammograms and Trans Atlantic Data Transfer Privacy
Garrett Gutierrez CSE 485: Capstone I #80015 12:00 PM 1:15 PM
Introduction:
As new technologies emerge, they cause new and surprising impacts on the world, which shape how
people experience life. Yet, these advancements in computing and engineering may have some
negative consequences. Thus, they become controversial issues. Two recent issues in the computing
and engineering field are the effectiveness of computer aided mammograms in the
United States and Facebook data being used for mass surveillance on European denizens. These issues
affect the areas of national healthcare and global privacy, respectively. Not only do these topics have
current ramifications, they also have potential long term consequences that will need to be addressed.
Thus, current leaders are taking actions to address each of these issues in order to resolve them or
mitigate their adverse effects. This paper will identify each issue, its source, the current and future
impact of the respective issue, and how current leaders are addressing the issues based on the facts
provided by the credible news sources.
Issue 1 and Source:
On the national level, a contemporary issue involving computing that has arisen is the use of computer
aided mammograms in the U.S. for women s healthcare. The issue is that recent studies have shown
that computer aided mammograms are not effective at detecting more instances of breast cancer or
tumors,

Redemption In Henry IV By William Shakespeare
Redemption often manifests itself in those who seek affirmation from those around them due to their
own actions. During the 14th century, as the Christian influence continues to spread across Europe,
self awareness begins to increase among the population, and with it, the need for acceptance. When
acceptance paired with self awareness welds itself to the hearts of a nation, people increase the need of
redemption, rather than forgiveness. Especially common in royalty, the need to prove one s worth
often guides the choices made in sporadic moments. Throughout Henry IV, written by William
Shakespeare, the theme of redemption weaves itself into the life of Prince Hal as he seeks approval
from his father as well as from himself, to demonstrate that redemption becomes necessary in order to
truly be at peace with oneself.
Viewed as useless and a curse, Prince Hal ruins his princely reputation according to his father, King
Henry IV. As riot and dishonor stain the brow, of the Prince, King Henry IV grows increasingly
impatient with his son, even entertaining the idea that Hal not be his son (I.I). Drinking, pranks, and
utter disregard for others all culminate into the average day of Prince Hal, and none of which reflect
well on him, clearly. To make matters worse, the young Harry Percy, or Hotspur, continues to excel in
battle, and so, by comparison, making Hal look even more undesirable. The true royal duties include
battle, council, and according to Henry IV, staying out of the

Imagine a peaceful paradise, where the heavenly ocean breeze and the glorious blue waves set the
mood for delighted sensations. This beautiful fantasy of a beach will perish, if humans continue to let
ocean pollution conquer Earth s alluring waters. Terrible things are deposited in our ocean including,
garbage, toxic waste, oil, sewage spills, and plastic waste. Every hour, 1.5 million pounds of garbage
are dumped into the ocean, killing 100,000 marine creatures due to plastic entanglement, poisoning,
etc. (All Recycling Facts.com). If we continue to be incautious, we could be dealing with a mass

Essay Woodworking Provided Employment for Many Settlers
Campbell
Colonial Research Paper
Woodworker was a very broad term for a loose category of jobs. There was the Cabinetmaker, who
was responsible for making a wide variety of furniture. This included cabinets, dressers, candlestands,
chairs, and tables. There was The Joiner, who was responsible for finishing the house. He made doors,
windows, and roofs with shingles. The Carpenter was responsible for building houses. He made
planks out of logs. He used the planks to make shingles, which were given to The Joiner so he could
finish the roof. The Carpenter was the head craftsman, but he had many slaves working for him. This
shows that The Woodworker had a very wide variety of tasks to do. Woodworking provided
employment for many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There was also walnut, which was one of the only types of wood grown locally that was considered
fine, or fancy. One type of imported wood was mahogany. It was imported from the Caribbean and
was very expensive. It was usually used for dressers and cabinets, but could be used for tables and
candlestands as well. This shows that only wealthy people would buy finer furniture because it was
fashionable and expensive. Although mostly the English used Woodworking, the Native Americans
did too. Native Americans did some woodworking. The Native Americans made tools out of bone
from dead animals. They made different tools from different bones. One tool they made from bone
was the axe. This shows that Native Americans did not have access to metal and used an alternative
resource for woodworking. Some Woodworkers were well known more than others.
Some noted Woodworkers not only built but sometimes fixed parts of the town. There were famous
woodworkers such as Benjamin Powell, who fixed the Public Gaol. James Morris, who supervised
construction on the Bruton Parish Church. John Wheatley did repairs on the Palace and helped on
Carter s Grove Plantation. A man named Christopher Ford built the 2nd Capital Building in Colonial
Williamsburg. This shows that Woodworkers played an important role in the construction of Colonial
Williamsburg. Such a job does have a good income. The Colonial Woodworker worked on many jobs,
for which he was paid.

High Speed And Wide Bandwidth Of Technology
CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
1.1 Introduction
Analog to digital converters (ADCs) is a mixed signal processing device that converts analog signals
which are real world signals to digital signals for processing the information. With the advancement of
technology, digital signal processing has progressed prominently in recent years. The aim of design is
low power, high speed and wide bandwidth analog to digital converter has increased tremendously.
Therefore the focus of this thesis is to design low power Flash ADC that operates at high speed.
Integration at very large scale a new architectures, and advances in integrated circuit (IC) technology
have dramatically changed the design of these systems and created new areas of research and
development. By the evolution of technology the transistor size is reduces and the response of
transistor is being faster. The evalution of design is deals with a high speed (above 250MHz) but has
low resolution (2 to 8 bits) as with small die area which is called System on a chip (SoC). In this trend
a large number of transistor is integrated on a single chip, it is a challenge for a developer who designs
an analog circuit for high speed applications these are analog to digital and digital to analog converters
(ADCs and DACs) that also maintains other desirable attributes like low power consumption and
small chip area.
The main objective for the consideration a designed ADCs for the complete SoC are high speed and
low power consumption. For a Low

Essay On The Increase Of Disease Among Drug Users
The Increase of Diseases Amongst Drug Users
Tanishia Q. Cheatham
William H. Turner Technical Arts School
Abstract
Another method used to reduce the spread of HIV among injecting drug users is through needle
exchange programs (NEPs). In these programs, users can either exchange their used needles for an
equal number of new, sterile needles or receive new ones without the requirement of an exchange.
These programs also offered a variety of other services in addition to syringe exchange, including
HIV/AIDS education and counseling, condom distribution, substance abuse, medical treatment
referrals, or other social service referrals, distribution of alcohol swabs, on site HIV testing and
counseling, screening for other infections, and some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Needle exchange programs are social services that allow injecting drug users to obtain intravenous
needles/syringes and associated equipment at little or no cost. It is based mainly on the viewpoint of
harm reduction that attempts to reduce the risk factors for diseases such as HIV/AIDS and hepatitis.
Needle exchange programs are authorized by the 2015 National H.I.V./AIDS Strategy for the United
States and the 2012 President s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief Blueprint. The increasing amongst
drug users can be reduced with the help of needle programs and additional programs that provide
similar services.
Purpose for Needle Exchange Programs
Most people believe that if they approve of needle exchange programs to operate throughout their
community, they will see an enormous increase in the number of needles/syringes discharged on their
streets as well as an increased rate in drug use. It doesn t only benefit individual drug users by helping
to prevent the transmission of blood borne diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis C, but it also benefits
the communities in which they operate by keeping used needles/syringes off the streets, giving
homeless or unstably housed drug users alternatives to street involvement, and serving as a gateway to
engage difficult to reach people in services such as mental health and

The Controversial Debate Of Cloning
In recent years, cloning has been a controversial topic, being highly debated by scientists, politicians,
and philosophers alike while invigorating popular culture through works such as Star Wars or Aldous
Huxley s Brave New World (Brock E 3). However, the fantastical examples of cloning to increase
labor supply or selective cloning to create a caste system as these works depict, are highly irrelevant to
problems society faces today with the prospect of cloning. Current medical technology suggests that
cloning may be a new alternative to adoption or natural reproduction for couples that may have
medical complications in pregnancy and birth, or couples that may be unable to conceive entirely.Yet,
because this technology is so new, and admittedly, in an early, undeveloped stage, legislations or
established moral standards are still fairly non existent, making it essential that certain boundaries be
formed. Subsequently, this paper will attempt to do so by suggesting and justifying that cloning be
permitted and considered morally permissible as a means for reproduction. In this, works by D.Brock,
C.Strong, E. Berg, L.Kass, and T.Takala will be used to argue that the overall benefits relative to
health would outweigh any possible counter arguments against the use of reproductive cloning as an
alternative to natural reproduction. Certain terms relative to cloning should be determined prior to the
primary argument. Firstly, we may define cloning as The act of asexually

Political Campaign Comparison
When looking at these images I think of the original piece that these works are a reference to. For the
Obama hope poster I am reminded of the political campaign of him running and the photograph the
poster referenced. In the second and third poster I am reminded of the first poster as these are a parody
of sorts of it. The second poster has a portrait of the Joker from the batman series. The third is a
reference to Bill Clinton s sex scandal. The artist uses art appropriation to use an image that the
audience already knows. Since the audience is already familiar with parts of the image it becomes sort
of a parody. The audience can look at the piece and form their own judgements based on what they
think about these events. For example a person who was not a fan of Obama during his political run
would already have their views of Obama when they look at the hope poster. They may not see hope
as the correct word for him. So the audience is able to put their opinions with the image along with
looking at the new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since we already know who the people are in the posters we already have part of the image created in
our minds about what the posters are about. The artist uses recognizable images and current events to
bring about political and cultural thoughts onto the image. The message is brought on by the words
and what is currently happening in the world. Each image is able to be shared by mass media and
becomes better known. These posters would not make sense if they were put out during a time without
the political effect. The hope poster would not make much sense if it was put out before Obama s
political campaign. Same with the grope poster it would not make sense if the sex scandal did not
happen. The second and third image surely would not make sense if the first poster was never made.
The joke poster would not be as recognizable if the Joker was not called The

The Characteristics Of North American Currency
Have we always known the distinct characteristics of North American currency? The dollar bills and
coins we use today have been through many changes in appearance and value. Paper and metals have
been the appearance of most currency. The change of currency went through early colonial period,
colonial period, Antebellum period, Civil War period and the Reconstruction period to finally establish
what we now know as American Currency. The separation of our country did not represent unity or
form for America. The American currency did not have an identity until the National Banking Act of
1863, established the dollar as the currency of choice.
The currency that was used in most English colonies during the 1600s was coins. The Colonists of that
time would count their money based on the English system that consisted of shillings, pounds, and
pence that was valued as; twelve pence equaled a shilling and twelve shillings equaled a pound
(Walbert, David). The pence were also recognized to be a penny. The currency varied in each region
and some would only accept trade and not pence or schillings. One of the most common identities of
currency later became the Spanish dollar. After so many people had the dollars they become less in
value and caused inflation to the country and a new type of currency needed to be established for the
country.
During the late Colonial period in 1690, a decision was suggested that the Spanish dollar was no
longer of a great value and worth its weight in

Flagstaff Arizona Mental Health Assignment
Introduction I thought a lot about this assignment. It was important, to me, that I gathered information
that would be applicable for the clients I will serve as a social worker. Here in Flagstaff Arizona, we
are fortunate to live in a community which celebrates cultural diversity. Flagstaff is home to a large
Latino, Diné and Hopi population. I wanted to critique a mental health assessment that I felt would be
culturally sensitive, appropriate and address the needs of these populations. Having said that, I
analyzed this intake form in terms of its usability for a variety of different cultures and populations. I
also aimed to assess the intake form in relation to sexual orientation and issues around gender identity.
The hope being that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I do not think there is always sufficient space to answer questions completely. For example, within the
Family Background and Childhood History section, there are questions asking the client to describe
their relationship with both their father and mother. Only one and one half lines are provided for this
response. A bit more space might encourage a better understanding of client concerns. I understand the
intake is intended to be brief but additional client explanation would be helpful. Should the intake be
re formatted so it is easier to read? Why? In general, the intake form is formatted thoughtfully. My
suggestion would be to expand certain areas, include a few more questions and provide a bit more
space between topic areas. One aspect I really appreciated was on the final page where space is
provided for the client to add any additional areas of concern. I reviewed quite a few intake forms for
this assignment and found very few that incorporated this aspect. What would you include? What
would you remove? Why? I do not feel there is anything I would remove but there is content I would
include. For example, in the beginning of the intake, a demographic section would be helpful.
Addition of this section would give the clinician further insight into the clients cultural systems.

Self Advocacy In Education
Accommodations. Students with learning disabilities are one of the fastest growing disabilities
populations entering into a university (Walker Test, 2011). As this number increases, more focus is
being placed on ensuring these students are successful. Self determination skills have played a major
part in the success of students with disabilities (Walker Test, 2011). A component of self determination
is self advocacy, which is defined by students taking care of their personal business on their own
(Walker Test, 2011). A part of self advocacy is education students on their responsibilities and rights,

In order to evaluate and develop rehabilitation approaches for adolescents, one should consider
utilizing the perspectives of youth (Kramer, Barth, Livingston, O Neil, Smith, Vallier and Wolfe,
2013). Utilizing youth, with disabilities, in the creation and implementation phases of new
interventions could possible ensure other youth find the interventions pleasant and functional (Kramer
et. al, 2014). With this study, youth with LD assisted in the development of programs that focuses on
shifting youth recuperation from distinct impairment to social causes of disability (Kramer et. al,
2014). Project TEAM (Teens making Environment and Activity Modifications) is the name of the new
training (Kramer et. al, 2014). Project TEAM consisted of six youth with disabilities, a researcher and
advocate. Project TEAM used a behavioral technique called the Game Plan to allow youth with
disabilities to determine environmental barriers, identify solutions, and request accommodations. A
youth panel, consisting of students with disabilities, was created to assist Project TEAM and the
researcher on the curriculum (Kramer et. al, 2014). With the researcher giving the youth panel space
and opportunity to share their voice, the researcher was able to maintain valuable information
regarding their perception of their disability (Kramer et. al, 2014). Members of the youth panel
contributions assisted Project TEAM. The youth panel participants designed tools to collect data,
retrieved data, and analyzed data (Kramer et. al, 2014). With the ability to be involved in all phases of
the research process allowed students with disabilities the opportunity to influence other researchers in
the field of rehabilitation and any potential Project TEAM member (Kramer et. al, 2014).
Environmental and social influences surrounding a disability can be influenced in the future by new
approaches created by Project TEAM (Kramer et. al,

What Is George Berkeley s Argument Against The View Of...
George Berkeley is a philosopher against the views of materialism. He presents his argument against
materialism using dialogues between two characters. The first character is Philonous, who is meant to
represent George Berkeley and his viewpoints that humans see nothing more than ideas. The second
character is named Hylas. Hylas is meant to represent the views of a materialist. A materialist believes
everything has a foundation in matter, and therefore humans see objects as they are. In the first
dialogue between Philonous and Hylas, they discuss their understanding of the senses as related to
matter. More specifically, they are in a debate about whether the senses are a necessary part of matter.
Hylas believes matter is a substance that exists without someone needing to perceive it. Philonous
believes matter cannot exist without someone having some mental understanding of it, and in the
event that no physical being is present to perceive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In their discussion, Philonous states that an object cannot be two colors at once and therefore the color
seen is based the viewer s perception. Hylas replies by stating that under ideal conditions the object
will be seen as one color, because that is the object s true color. Hylas presents his objection to
Philonous point that an object cannot be two things at once by getting to the root of what causes
beings to see color. Hylas argues that light is a material that interacts with the mind to give a
perception of some color. More clearly, the mind can only perceive objects who possess qualities that
can be understood through the senses. Hylas is arguing that matter in itself has qualities that can be
seen in different ways depending on the person, however even if people have conflicting perceptions,
the object will always possess its quality. For example, in the case of the chair being seen as white or
yellow depending on the person, under a microscope the chair will always be one

Events of World War II
World War2, many events took place in history. In World War2,these events had most been written
about the holocaust, ration books, Green Police, and the famous concentration and death camp of that
time. In 1939, people started and needed to use ration books. German submarines attacked British and
American ships, so many supplies had to be cut short. During this time, the Nazi created an
organization of soldiers called Gestapo or Green Police . Later on, in 1945, Auschwitz was created and
became famous for the deaths of thousands of people. While World War2 was going on, many events
changed the lives of many people. Some of the events connected to the play The Diary of Anne Frank
and characters. Ration books were books that showed the persons sex, age, weight, and height. Each

How well do you think the Allied Forces would have done without reliable transport vehicle? Without
the Jeep, Americans during WWII would have struggled in the war because they would not have the
Jeeps durability, their multi purposeful design, and their economically beneficial high capacity
producing availability. The durability was proved by the way that many WWII leaders tested and
loved the Jeeps. They were very much entertained by them, their uniqueness, the way that civilians
and past soldiers wanted their own Jeep, and there competitiveness strong points in their design. Their
versatility was proven by that most of the Allied Powers were using the Jeep and their multipurposeful

of the lower Palaeolithic (Homo erectus), middle Palaeolithic (early Homo sapiens) as well as the

However the strong similarities between the Homo heidelbergensis and the Homo erectus means there
is some debate that there is no need to differentiate between the two and that it was Homo erectus who
first reached Britain. The Homo erectus species were believed to have lived between about 1.89
million and 143 000 years ago. Through the study of fossil remains of these early humans
archaeologists have gained evidence to show they were one of the first of the species to expand
beyond Africa. While we do have evidence showing Homo heidelbergensis/erectus presence in Britain
(for example Boxgrove) around 500 000 years it can be seen that they did not remain after this
original arrival, glacial periods playing a large part in the dispersion of these early visitors. The middle
Palaeolithic period was between approximately 300 000 and 45 000 years ago, the upper Palaeolithic
being between approximately 45 000 and 10 000 years ago. The Homo sapien species was believed to
have emerged during the middle Palaeolithic, more specifically around 195 000 years ago in Africa
and these are seen to be the first humans to have eventually permanently inhabited Britain. Despite the
evidence for homo sapien existence in Britain 400 000 years ago the presence of modern humans in
Britain remained brief and sporadic. It has only been continuous since about 12,000 years ago.

Mci Coorporation
1. What is the likely level of MCI s external financing needs over the next several years?
Based on the Exhibit 9A in the case, we can calculate the Source and Use of Funds. As Exhibit 1
suggests, the company require about $4.8 billion during 1984 and 1990. This is basically due to the
required new capex during the same period, which will be accumulated to $10.2 billion, and the
increase of cash holding, $2.0 billion, as a use of funds and the company can generate funds from
operation, only $7.8 billion. Therefore, the company needs to fill the gap by sourcing external finance
of about $4.8 billion. This amount will vary depending primarily on two factors; 1) whether MCI can
expand market share as forecasted amid the increasing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Why?
We suggest that the company should take the option 3. Firstly, as mentioned in the above, the
company requires $4.8 billion during 1984 and 1990 and option 3 can provide largest fund compared
with option 1 and 2. Secondly, the option 3 incurs the least interest rate, 7.5%. Thirdly, even though
the company needs to increase the debt ratio in the short run, they can adjust it later with the
conversion option, which gives the company flexibility for capital

Zimmer Biomet Shoulder Lawsuit
Zimmer Biomet is a product is a reverse shoulder implant designed to help patients restore arm
movement. However, increased instances of failure have led to massive recall of this medical device
along with lawsuits. Overall, there are three types of claims associated by recalled products, defective
manufacture claim, failure to warn claim and defective design claim. The failure to warn claim occurs
in cases where the manufacturer of a product fails to notify or educate users on the defect and risk
associated with using the recalled product. Under the defective design claim, the product manufacturer
is held responsible for failure to provide adequate information regarding product development and
failing to test and foresee defects that may be caused by product failure.
On the other hand, under the defective manufacture claim, the product manufacturer is held liable for
product defects arising from poor manufacture and lack of proper inspection. Zimmer Biomet, Inc is a

The Bihar Fodder Scam
Bihar has become a byword for the worst of India, of widespread and inescapable poverty, of corrupt
politicians indistinguishable from mafia dons they patronise, caste ridden social order that has retained
the worst feudal cruelties....of chronic misrule that has allowed infrastructure to crumble, the
education and health system to collapse, and law and order to evaporate (Long, 2004, p.17 18). India
has witnessed many scams over the years, and the number keeps increasing by the day. It is most
commonly the chief ministers, state and central ministers and members of various political parties who
are often reported for their involvement in scams. This article presents a descriptive and exploratory
analysis of informal money transfer relating to one such infamous case of Bihar Fodder Scam . The
article also delves into the core ethical issues involved, and the best way for the concerned
government bodies to respond to such cases of corruption in order to reduce such misconducts. The
World Bank defines corruption as the abuse of public power for private benefit (Worldbank, 1997).
The Animal Husbandry Scam a.k.a the Fodder Scam, is a clear example of this definition. The case in
question is a consequence of the incessant greed of politicians for money and power. It is reported that
about Rs. 950 crore were embezzled from the government treasuries of Bihar in this 17 year long case

Software And Application Lifecycle Management
Software is the base necessity in a system as it acts as a guide between the user and the system.
Programmers design different kinds of software by writing a complete set of written instructions that

technological improvements, businesses are now looking at software development organizations to
design cost effective, high quality, and adaptive applications to meet business objectives. Software
businesses can run into a variety of issues when creating, changing, or updating the software that they

There are numerous companies such as Hewlett Packard (HP), IBM, and Atlassin that have created
their own ALM service to help software companies meet there business objectives.
On the contrary, software companies can have trouble selecting a provider that designs their own
ALM software. It is important that software companies need to keep in mind that some vendors do not
offer an all in one product. Most vendors create a suite of tools to offer in there ALM software. In fact,
a software company should look for tools that have strong functionality in the components that are
least mature within the organization, and when there are tools that are already in use, look for
opportunities to integrate with those tools (Owen, G., 2015). The best provider that a software
company should select if they want to use ALM software in their organization is Microsoft.
Microsoft s ALM product offers a broad suite of functionality available either on premises or in the

companies that use Microsoft s ALM product will receive a variety of features and tools to
demonstrate the products they create are trustworthy and meet all of the software components in their

The Museum Of The West Michigan Area
Many different museums surround the West Michigan area and are the storage centers of the history of
our counties, state, and country. When visiting a museum many people take in the sights and displays
but never understand the work behind the scenes that when into providing the great historic exhibits.
Many of museums are free admission or a slight admission fee but that small amount of profit is
barely enough to keep the lights on. So one may ask how do museum economically survive if there is
very little profit made on tourism or museum visits? Also one may ask how is a museum able to have
employment with the little profit made each year where is money magically appearing to afford to run
these museums? Well on a visit to the Lakeshore Museum Center in Muskegon, Michigan, I was ready
to partake in answering these questions, and had many more questions to discover the operational
structure that made this museum operate daily. This paper is divided into three parts. First, we will

The site of Caesarea Maritima contains many unique challenges for archaeological excavations.
Ceramics play an important role in discovering factual information about a site. Nonetheless, Caesarea
Maritima has a variety of specific challenges associated with it for archaeologists. Not only does it

Important discoveries concerning maritime trade was learned through the analysis of amphora found
in Vault 1 of area C (Blakely 1988). This article not only focused upon a specific amphora that of
Amphora Class 48/49 (Peacock and Williams 1986 p. 196 99) but also other Palestinian and imported
amphorae found in the vault. Through the analysis of Class 48/49 information such as where the
pottery was made and what goods they were transporting was learned. By studying the minerals found
in the fabric of two of the sherds it was discovered that sherd 6.2 was formed in the Avdat region of
the Negev (Blackely 1988, p. 38) while sherd 6.3, because of the amount of heavy metals found within
identified the amphora as being made in Gaza or the Western Negev (Blackely 1988, p. 38). Coupled
with the knowledge that very few examples of Amphora Class 48/49 were found inland while many
examples were found in Caesarea, archaeologists theorized that the vessels arrived from the sea via
Gaza avoiding any overland travel. In the article it is pointed out the dating for the vessel types is
debated. Dates range from the third to the sixth, centuries. Of the Palestinian pottery, the analysis
shows they might have contained water or wine, however, no evidence of oil was found (Blackely
1988, p. 39). One of the more common imported Amphora from vault 1 was the Rhodian Amphora
(Blackely 1988, p. 41) and they were thought to have carried wine. Because of the large number of
imported amphorae identified, the archaeologists hypothesised that the function of the vault was
primarily that of a storage facility for international goods. After the contents of the amphora where
analysed it became apparent that their purpose was not to transport only one product rather residue
from two or more goods was found (Blackely 1988, p. 42). Another key piece of evidence identified

Genetic Studies Of Prostate Cancer
Background: Among various epithelial cancers, genomic studies of prostate cancer (PCa) identified
several molecular markers including E26 transformation specific (ETS) gene fusions, SPINK1 and
many others. The prevalence of these molecular markers in African American (AA) prostate cancer
has not been studied to the extent that has been studied for European American (EA) prostate cancer to
understand the racial disparity. Contrary to the conventional approaches, new approaches are needed
to understand the underlying genetic disparity between the AA and EA PCa. Therefore, we have
developed refined approaches to screen whole mount radical prostatectomy tissues rather than
systematic sampling of tumor from dominant/index nodule to assess the fundamental molecular
differences in the incidence of molecular markers between AA and EA prostate cancer.
Hypothesis/Objective: Prostate molecular markers have been first discovered using the cancer genome
of individuals other than African American decent. Due to the lack of screening in a large cohort of
AA PCa the prevalence of these markers in AA PCa is not known. Given the fundamental differences
in the ancestral history of the genome of AA and EA the prevalence of these molecular markers may
be markedly different. Conventional systematic sampling approaches may not reveal the true
prevalence in AA PCa. Therefore, we propose to undertake an innovative approach using whole mount
radical prostatectomy to understand the racial disparity.

Analysis Of The Book Julius Caesar With My Class
Recently I have gotten the chance to read the book play, Julius Caesar with my
class. Although it s hard to understand at times, and it s long and boring. I ve learned a
lot from the play already. Throughout this paper, I m going teach you and explain to you
one of the things I learned. This one thing I learned is going to be the main point of my
paper, with extras around it, that one thing is What is a roman tribune? and Why are
Marullus and Flavius, worried about Caesar? This play is full of twist and turns, by the
end of this paper, you will have an answer to both the questions.
In this play there are several different types of Roman Tribunes, some that hold
higher powers than others. One of the highest tribunes is Brutus, then there s
Cassius, and several more. I named these two mainly because they play a huge part in
this play. They are one of few that actually hold some type of power in the play, and their
close to one of the highest powers there is. This higher power you might ask? Goes by
the name of Julius Caesar.
Since Pompey died, the head person in charge, the king. Since he died, Caesar has
attempted to take his place. Although Caesar is the new highest power, he isn t as high a
he wants to be. While he s trying to get to the top, there are some of his tribunes that

Bart Simpson Research Paper
A trickster is a character that survives by wits and skill. They are also very crafty (Mythology in
Literary Culture). Tricksters are everywhere. You never know when they are going to strike. They
could do it to make things better or worse. They impact a story in a good way or a bad way but
regardless they help create the conflict of the story. There are famous ones and there are normal ones.
In this case there are three big tricksters from Greek mythology, Norse mythology, and modern day
characters in TV shows. The Greek God Hermes, the Norse God Loki, and the funny character Bart

Bart is a special character, who confuses people to make them look stupid. He is a trickster day in and

that there is trouble all the time in the Simpsons neighborhood. One instance in which he displayed his
trickery was when he switched papers with this kid named Martin and everyone thought that he was
super smart and intelligent. He then went to a top level school and had a hard time so he got caught

Examples Of Confirmation Bias
CASE STUDY: AVOID THINKING TRAPS KIMBERLY BLACKBURN WESTERN KENTUCKY
UNIVERSITY What has become known as Confirmation bias is the tendency people have to embrace
information that supports their beliefs and reject information that contradicts them (Kolbert, 2017).
The crash of Comair Flight 5191 in Lexington Kentucky in 2006 due to pilot error is a good example
of confirmation bias. It is believed the flight crew convinced themselves they were on the right
runway due runway lights that they were told were unserviceable in a previous flight. On the flight s
voice recorder, the pilots never appeared confused (Ortiz, Patton, Ku, 2007). It was a classic example
of confirmation bias, the act of only seeing evidence supporting their preconceptions, investigators
said (Ortiz, Patton, Ku, 2007). Confirmation bias is our feeling to choose the information that
confirms what we belief or the ideas we have on a subject. Sometimes this can lead us to misjudge or
make wrong decisions. The pilots of flight 5191 out of Lexington airport let their belief of the
situation make them make the wrong decision and not confirm they were on the right runway. Pilots
Clay and Polehinke ignored the warning signs of the unlit runway, too short runway and their
distracted conversation during the pre flight time. To avoid confirmation bias one has to be aware of
its existence. Mindfulness and emotional intelligence can both be of help in avoiding confirmation
bias

Genetically And Modified Dairy Cattle Essay
Cows produce a protein in their milk called BLG and many infants are allergic to this protein. Two to
three hundred infants are allergic to cow s milk, and BLG allergies are seemingly a large part of this.
Various organizations are trying to investigate ways to manipulate the genetic material in the modified
dairy cattle with the main goal of producing milk that doesn t contain the lethal BLG protein. Daisy is
a genetically modified cloned cow and whom does not produce milk containing the BLG protein but
does however have the gene for it. But the mRNA for the BLG protein has become nonfunctional.
Once the protein has been manipulated the cow containing the modified gene is cloned to produce a
calf with the same genetic material. This cloned cow will then not produce the protein. This technique
is very useful to produce a herd without the protein to gather more milk. Because of this protein
produced (BLG) this causes a lot of people and infants to become very sick and ill. Therefore by
creating a herd of cows using the processes of Gene Knockdown and Cloning this would not only cut
out the lethal protein of BLG, but this will also create cows that don t possess the BLG protein and
therefore creating healthy milk for all to drink.
Gene knockdown refers to experimental techniques by which the expression of one or more of an
organism s genes are reduced. This reduction of genes can occur either through genetic modification

The word yoga comes from yuj in sanskrit, which means unity or Yoke the relative meaning is to
concentrate attention or use . Asana is one of the most significant tools of yoga helping to position the
body in various positions with the total participation of the mind and self to establish communication
between our inner and outer self (Iyengar, 2001). Yoga practices assume a critical part in the support
of human systems. Yoga perfect builds up the body as well as produces intellectual capacities.
Moreover, yogis procure dominance of the involuntary muscles of their body (A.M. Moorthy and J.
David Manual Raju, 1983). In this study we try to discover the effects of aerobic dance and yogic
practice on blood lipid profiles among university students. Yoga provides techniques (physically,
mentally, intellectually and emotionally) for this growth. These techniques are also therapeutically
useful for many of the stress related problems. Sound health is an adjusted advancement of a person s
identity and enthusiastic dispositions, empowering him to live in harmony with his condition. It is

people to become more sensitive to surroundings and even confuse voices. When hearing the word fire
continuously from the crowd, it would only make sense that the soldiers confused one of the attacker s

  • 2. The Causes Of The French Revolution The French Revolution was an insurgency in France from 1789 to 1799. It prompted the finish of the government, and to many wars. A turning point of occasion in current European history, the French Revolution started in 1789 and finished in the late 1790s. Louis XVI was executed in 1793. During the eighteenth Century France was the focus point of despotic government. The French Monarchs had boundless power and they announced themselves as the Representative of God . Louis XIV was the type of this view. The French Monarch s drew in themselves in sumptuous and indulgence at the regal court of Versailles. They delighted in boundless power. By the Letter de Cachet, they captured any individual whenever and detained them. They gave careful consideration towards their subjects. After Louis XV, Louis XVI rose the position of authority of France. During that period, the monetary state of France ended up plainly feeble. Louis XVI was a blameless and basic man. However, he was affected by his ruler Marie Antoinette who dependably meddled in the state undertakings. The Social state of France during the eighteenth century was exceptionally hopeless. The then French Society was isolated into three classes the Clergy, Nobles and Everyday citizens. The Clergy had a place with the Main Home. • 3. An Iep Meeting And Learn How The Meeting Is Conducted I did not have a chance to sit in an IEP meeting and learn how the meeting is conducted. I am curious to learn the counselor position in an IEP meeting. Due to the time period I started practicum, I was not able to learn about the high school application process. When I started practicum in February, the applications for high school were submitted. My site supervisor did not have a classroom lesson to present while I was completing my hours. I want to learn how to conduct a classroom lesson and connect that lesson to counseling. Finally, there were not any ACS cases occurring with a student for me to learn about the ACS process. Because my counselor was busy showing me other counseling duties, the topic of ACS was not mentioned. Hopefully in internship, I will be able to learn the correct steps when calling an ACS case. Extend To Which I Have Met My Learning Goals As stated in the section what I have learned, I have met a couple of my learning goals. Some of the goals I met was, creating lesson plans for my groups, demonstrating active listening, determine when to use open or close ended questions, provide useful information of my students and being mindful of my personal biases. The hardest goal I met and continue to practice meeting this goal is being mindful of my personal biases. I practice being mindful by being aware of my personal biases. Usually, when I do not agree with different perspective from mine, I make facial expression showing my disapproval. Also, I would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Redemption In Henry IV By William Shakespeare Redemption often manifests itself in those who seek affirmation from those around them due to their own actions. During the 14th century, as the Christian influence continues to spread across Europe, self awareness begins to increase among the population, and with it, the need for acceptance. When acceptance paired with self awareness welds itself to the hearts of a nation, people increase the need of redemption, rather than forgiveness. Especially common in royalty, the need to prove one s worth often guides the choices made in sporadic moments. Throughout Henry IV, written by William Shakespeare, the theme of redemption weaves itself into the life of Prince Hal as he seeks approval from his father as well as from himself, to demonstrate that redemption becomes necessary in order to truly be at peace with oneself. Viewed as useless and a curse, Prince Hal ruins his princely reputation according to his father, King Henry IV. As riot and dishonor stain the brow, of the Prince, King Henry IV grows increasingly impatient with his son, even entertaining the idea that Hal not be his son (I.I). Drinking, pranks, and utter disregard for others all culminate into the average day of Prince Hal, and none of which reflect well on him, clearly. To make matters worse, the young Harry Percy, or Hotspur, continues to excel in battle, and so, by comparison, making Hal look even more undesirable. This shows that only wealthy people would buy finer furniture because it was fashionable and expensive. Although mostly the English used Woodworking, the Native Americans did too. Native Americans did some woodworking. The Native Americans made tools out of bone from dead animals. They made different tools from different bones. One tool they made from bone was the axe. This shows that Native Americans did not have access to metal and used an alternative resource for woodworking. Some Woodworkers were well known more than others. Some noted Woodworkers not only built but sometimes fixed parts of the town. There were famous woodworkers such as Benjamin Powell, who fixed the Public Gaol. James Morris, who supervised construction on the Bruton Parish Church. John Wheatley did repairs on the Palace and helped on Carter s Grove Plantation. • 9. High Speed And Wide Bandwidth Of Technology CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 Introduction Analog to digital converters (ADCs) is a mixed signal processing device that converts analog signals which are real world signals to digital signals for processing the information. With the advancement of technology, digital signal processing has progressed prominently in recent years. The aim of design is low power, high speed and wide bandwidth analog to digital converter has increased tremendously. Therefore the focus of this thesis is to design low power Flash ADC that operates at high speed. Integration at very large scale a new architectures, and advances in integrated circuit (IC) technology have dramatically changed the design of these systems and created new areas of research and development. By the evolution of technology the transistor size is reduces and the response of transistor is being faster. The evalution of design is deals with a high speed (above 250MHz) but has low resolution (2 to 8 bits) as with small die area which is called System on a chip (SoC). In this trend a large number of transistor is integrated on a single chip, it is a challenge for a developer who designs an analog circuit for high speed applications these are analog to digital and digital to analog converters (ADCs and DACs) that also maintains other desirable attributes like low power consumption and small chip area. The main objective for the consideration a designed ADCs for the complete SoC are high speed and low power consumption. For a Low ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. The Controversial Debate Of Cloning In recent years, cloning has been a controversial topic, being highly debated by scientists, politicians, and philosophers alike while invigorating popular culture through works such as Star Wars or Aldous Huxley s Brave New World (Brock E 3). However, the fantastical examples of cloning to increase labor supply or selective cloning to create a caste system as these works depict, are highly irrelevant to problems society faces today with the prospect of cloning. Current medical technology suggests that cloning may be a new alternative to adoption or natural reproduction for couples that may have medical complications in pregnancy and birth, or couples that may be unable to conceive entirely.Yet, because this technology is so new, and admittedly, in an early, undeveloped stage, legislations or established moral standards are still fairly non existent, making it essential that certain boundaries be formed. Subsequently, this paper will attempt to do so by suggesting and justifying that cloning be permitted and considered morally permissible as a means for reproduction. In this, works by D.Brock, C.Strong, E. Berg, L.Kass, and T.Takala will be used to argue that the overall benefits relative to health would outweigh any possible counter arguments against the use of reproductive cloning as an alternative to natural reproduction. Certain terms relative to cloning should be determined prior to the primary argument. Firstly, we may define cloning as The act of asexually ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The dollar bills and coins we use today have been through many changes in appearance and value. Paper and metals have been the appearance of most currency. The change of currency went through early colonial period, colonial period, Antebellum period, Civil War period and the Reconstruction period to finally establish what we now know as American Currency. The separation of our country did not represent unity or form for America. The American currency did not have an identity until the National Banking Act of 1863, established the dollar as the currency of choice. The currency that was used in most English colonies during the 1600s was coins. The Colonists of that time would count their money based on the English system that consisted of shillings, pounds, and pence that was valued as; twelve pence equaled a shilling and twelve shillings equaled a pound (Walbert, David). The pence were also recognized to be a penny. The currency varied in each region and some would only accept trade and not pence or schillings. One of the most common identities of currency later became the Spanish dollar. After so many people had the dollars they become less in value and caused inflation to the country and a new type of currency needed to be established for the country. He presents his argument against materialism using dialogues between two characters. The first character is Philonous, who is meant to represent George Berkeley and his viewpoints that humans see nothing more than ideas. The second character is named Hylas. Hylas is meant to represent the views of a materialist. A materialist believes everything has a foundation in matter, and therefore humans see objects as they are. In the first dialogue between Philonous and Hylas, they discuss their understanding of the senses as related to matter. More specifically, they are in a debate about whether the senses are a necessary part of matter. Hylas believes matter is a substance that exists without someone needing to perceive it. Hylas argues that light is a material that interacts with the mind to give a perception of some color. More clearly, the mind can only perceive objects who possess qualities that can be understood through the senses. Hylas is arguing that matter in itself has qualities that can be seen in different ways depending on the person, however even if people have conflicting perceptions, the object will always possess its quality. When visiting a museum many people take in the sights and displays but never understand the work behind the scenes that when into providing the great historic exhibits. Many of museums are free admission or a slight admission fee but that small amount of profit is barely enough to keep the lights on. Ceramics play an important role in discovering factual information about a site. Nonetheless, Caesarea Maritima has a variety of specific challenges associated with it for archaeologists. Not only does it cover a significant section of the coastal region, but the immense harbour over time has been completely submerged in the sea. Along with geographical challenges, there are also historical ones. The site of Caesarea Maritima was inhabited from Hellenistic time until the Crusaders, a period spanning over 900 years. Important discoveries concerning maritime trade was learned through the analysis of amphora found in Vault 1 of area C (Blakely 1988). This article not only focused upon a specific amphora that of Amphora Class 48/49 (Peacock and Williams 1986 p. 196 99) but also other Palestinian and imported amphorae found in the vault. Through the analysis of Class 48/49 information such as where the pottery was made and what goods they were transporting was learned. By studying the minerals found in the fabric of two of the sherds it was discovered that sherd 6.2 was formed in the Avdat region of the Negev (Blackely 1988, p. 38) while sherd 6.3, because of the amount of heavy metals found within identified the amphora as being made in Gaza or the Western Negev (Blackely 1988, p. 38). Coupled with the knowledge that very few examples of Amphora Class 48/49 were found inland while many examples were found in Caesarea, archaeologists theorized that the vessels arrived from the sea via Gaza avoiding any overland travel. In the article it is pointed out the dating for the vessel types is debated. Dates range from the third to the sixth, centuries. Of the Palestinian pottery, the analysis shows they might have contained water or wine, however, no evidence of oil was found (Blackely 1988, p. 39). One of the more common imported Amphora from vault 1 was the Rhodian Amphora (Blackely 1988, p. 41) and they were thought to have carried wine. Because of the large number of imported amphorae identified, the archaeologists hypothesised that the function of the vault was primarily that of a storage facility for international goods. After the contents of the amphora where analysed it became apparent that their purpose was not to transport only one product rather residue from two or more goods was found (Blackely 1988, p. 42). Genetic Studies Of Prostate Cancer Background: Among various epithelial cancers, genomic studies of prostate cancer (PCa) identified several molecular markers including E26 transformation specific (ETS) gene fusions, SPINK1 and many others. The prevalence of these molecular markers in African American (AA) prostate cancer has not been studied to the extent that has been studied for European American (EA) prostate cancer to understand the racial disparity. Contrary to the conventional approaches, new approaches are needed to understand the underlying genetic disparity between the AA and EA PCa. Therefore, we have developed refined approaches to screen whole mount radical prostatectomy tissues rather than systematic sampling of tumor from dominant/index nodule to assess the fundamental molecular differences in the incidence of molecular markers between AA and EA prostate cancer. Hypothesis/Objective: Prostate molecular markers have been first discovered using the cancer genome of individuals other than African American decent. Due to the lack of screening in a large cohort of AA PCa the prevalence of these markers in AA PCa is not known. Given the fundamental differences in the ancestral history of the genome of AA and EA the prevalence of these molecular markers may be markedly different. Conventional systematic sampling approaches may not reveal the true prevalence in AA PCa. Therefore, we propose to undertake an innovative approach using whole mount radical prostatectomy to understand the racial disparity. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 35. Examples Of Confirmation Bias CASE STUDY: AVOID THINKING TRAPS KIMBERLY BLACKBURN WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY What has become known as Confirmation bias is the tendency people have to embrace information that supports their beliefs and reject information that contradicts them (Kolbert, 2017). The crash of Comair Flight 5191 in Lexington Kentucky in 2006 due to pilot error is a good example of confirmation bias. It is believed the flight crew convinced themselves they were on the right runway due runway lights that they were told were unserviceable in a previous flight. On the flight s voice recorder, the pilots never appeared confused (Ortiz, Patton, Ku, 2007). It was a classic example of confirmation bias, the act of only seeing evidence supporting their preconceptions, investigators said (Ortiz, Patton, Ku, 2007). Confirmation bias is our feeling to choose the information that confirms what we belief or the ideas we have on a subject. Sometimes this can lead us to misjudge or make wrong decisions. The pilots of flight 5191 out of Lexington airport let their belief of the situation make them make the wrong decision and not confirm they were on the right runway. Pilots Clay and Polehinke ignored the warning signs of the unlit runway, too short runway and their distracted conversation during the pre flight time. To avoid confirmation bias one has to be aware of its existence. Mindfulness and emotional intelligence can both be of help in avoiding confirmation bias ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Genetically And Modified Dairy Cattle Essay Cows produce a protein in their milk called BLG and many infants are allergic to this protein. Two to three hundred infants are allergic to cow s milk, and BLG allergies are seemingly a large part of this. Various organizations are trying to investigate ways to manipulate the genetic material in the modified dairy cattle with the main goal of producing milk that doesn t contain the lethal BLG protein. Daisy is a genetically modified cloned cow and whom does not produce milk containing the BLG protein but does however have the gene for it. But the mRNA for the BLG protein has become nonfunctional. Once the protein has been manipulated the cow containing the modified gene is cloned to produce a calf with the same genetic material. This cloned cow will then not produce the protein. This technique is very useful to produce a herd without the protein to gather more milk. Because of this protein produced (BLG) this causes a lot of people and infants to become very sick and ill. Therefore by creating a herd of cows using the processes of Gene Knockdown and Cloning this would not only cut out the lethal protein of BLG, but this will also create cows that don t possess the BLG protein and therefore creating healthy milk for all to drink. Gene knockdown refers to experimental techniques by which the expression of one or more of an organism s genes are reduced. This reduction of genes can occur either through genetic modification (alters the genetic makeup of an organism using ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
