The War On Drugs And Drugs
The war on drugs is a long going battle and it has created many issues all around the world and as of
today the highest prison population can be found in the United States due to drug charges. About half
of the inmates with in federal and state prisons can be found on drug convictions. Those charges can
range from possession of an illicit substance to drug trafficking that surprisingly continues to be an
issue in federal and state prisons. How can United States put an end to the war on drugs?
Many people cope with drug use, abuse, and many inmates who have been convicted on drug offenses
deal with addiction as well. The United States has the leading amount of people within the prison
system and most are for drug offenses nevertheless, many of those people contend with drug
addiction. Drug addiction is a disease that so many cope with; it is reliance on a substance and for
whatever reason the addiction continues to take over one s life and choices. Drug abusers can
sometimes see a means to an end when it comes to their drug addiction, whether its alcohol, a
hardcore drug like heroin or cocaine, or prescription medication the person will do what it takes to
feed their addiction. People have their reasons for why they need to do drugs, it could be to escape
their own reality, a coping mechanism, or it could be just because it makes them feel good. Sometimes
that need can surpass a person s better judgement leading to criminal acts being committed because
they need to

Conduct Forcible Entry Operations During The Korean War Essay
The current amphibious concepts and capabilities of the US ensure that we are better prepared to
conduct forcible entry operations than we were during the landing at Inchon, and subsequent liberation
of Seoul. Amphibious concepts, such as seabasing, amphibious command and control (C2), and the
Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) allow forces to project power across domains. Proof of concept
exercises like Bold Alligator continue to refine our amphibious capability to provide flexible, scalable,
responsive forces that can conduct a multitude of missions. Inchon, during the Korean War, highlights
the benefit of maneuver warfare and joint operations. However, security operations, intelligence, and
speed were deficient during Operation CHROMITE. World War II demonstrated a lack of
preparedness to conduct amphibious operations in the Pacific by the US and Great Britain. The Pacific
Campaign and Inchon prove the need to maintain a professional amphibious force and the importance
of concepts like seabasing, C2, and the ESG in amphibious operations. Applying the concepts of
seabasing, C2, and the ESG in joint exercises with platforms such as Maritime Prepositioning Force,
multipurpose amphibious assault ships (LHD), Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC), AV 8B
Vertical/Short Take Off and Landing (VSTOL) jets, and MV 22 tilt rotor aircraft ensure that we are
better prepared to conduct forcible entry operations than we were during the landing at Inchon, and
subsequent liberation of Seoul.

Ivory Coast Produces the Most Cocao Beans and Trafficking...
Chocolate industry has brought over 80 billion pounds of revenue to the economy. Western countries
are the main consumer in terms of chocolate consumption, and Ivory Coast is the biggest cocoa
producer supplying 60% of world s cocoa beans. More than 10 million people rely on the cocoa beans
productions in Ivory Coast, however there are uses of child trafficking and force them into slave
labour. Children are malnutrition and they are working under very poor conditions and environment,
using hazardous equipment such as machete without proper safety regulation. The use of child labour
violates the definition of fair trade according to world fair trade organization: fair trade is a fair
partnership designed to aid producers in developing countries; helps contribute to sustainability by
offering better trading conditions and securing rights of workers. In my opinion this issue is very
serious and should be taken action internationally, children are ignored and have to work in
horrendous conditions which defy the Catholic Principles of Social Justice human dignity, active
involvement, rights to work and the common good. Social justice is ignored in this video, especially
human dignity. The Catholic Principle of Social Justice states that principle of human dignity every
person has the right to have their primary needs fulfilled: food, shelter, clothing, education and work.
In the video, the trafficked children are living in poor condition with no access to electricity, clean

In addition, since it is not told from a single person, there is no bias and it enables the narrator to
describe each character in a distinct and unique way. The purpose of utilizing third person omniscient
is to help the audience develop a deeper understanding of the characters and how they function and act
in the Igbo society.
9. Social/Political/Philosophical Agendas or Issues Being Dealt with by the Author(Themes)
One of the biggest agendas of Achebe in writing this novel is to present the point of view of the tribal
Africans. The presence of the Christian missionaries prove this point and Achebe recognized this
problem and how it essentially wiped out the true culture and tradition of the Igbo. He wanted to
display the real problems and lives of the Igbo society without any outside influence. Another
important theme that is conveyed is that being too strict or ambitious with our children cautions us to
behave with prudence as opposed to emotion. Throughout the book, Okonkwo lives by emotion and
his only goal is to come off as a strong fighter. His strict attitude towards Nwoye only causes him to
act against Okonkwo s choice and join the Christian missionaries. Achebe shows that we should be
flexible and raise our kids with judgement and leniency, because if we rule by emotion, it can lead to
our downfall. (As seen in both Okonkwo and

Argumentative Speech On Selfishness
Introduction A. Attention grabber: What if I told you kindness is our social connection to other human
beings? (rhetorical) B. Topic reveal: And when we are socially connected to others, we are happier,
healthier, and live longer lives. C. Credibility establishment: In an article entitled Happiness for a
lifetime published in the 2010 issue of the Greater Good Magazine, psychologist Sonja Lyubomirsky
discusses a key insight from her research conducted with colleagues Ken Sheldon and Dave Schkade.
1. 50% of happiness is in our genes (a relatively small %), 40% in behavior and daily activities, and
10% on lifestyle. 2. In one of the studies, they asked one group of students to do all five of their acts
of kindness in one single day (they felt one single day and a small act would be more powerful), did
succeed in making them happier, when the acts were small and conducted that day, it was more
powerful to be more concentrated Why might kindness have these kinds of effects on our happiness? I
believe that when you are kind and generous to others, you start to see yourself as a generous person,
so it s good for your self perception. Plus, it helps you see yourself as interconnected to others, it
makes you interpret other people s behavior more charitably, and it relieves distress over other people
s misfortune all things that are good for happiness. D. Thesis Statement: (Main point preview):

Theme Of Hiroshima Mon Amour
In this essay I will be comparing two films, Hiroshima mon
amour by Alain Resnais, and Level 5 by Chris Marker. I will
discuss the similarities and differences between them, going
through the plot, the cinematography and the theme of each
movie. I will also talk about the protagonists, actions,
technical stuff, and how these are aimed at each film s target
audience.
First of all, I would like to represent each movie.
Hiroshima mon amour is a 1959 drama film, directed by French
film director Alain Resnais. The movie is about a French actress
who s making an anti war film in the once devastated, but now
rebuilt city of Hiroshima, begins an intense affair with a
Japanese architect, the one who becomes her lover and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Resnais did a great job in mixing the
structure of his movie. He merged the past and the present,
using a poetic dialogue and a subjective use of sound. All of
this made his film a study of time and memory and the
devastation wrought by war. Alain used interplay of opposites
throughout the film: war and peace, sex and death, past and
present, reality and memory (using flashbacks), France and
Japan... He focused on his main character Her how she s
recollecting her own tragic experiences and relating them to the
war. For example, we see the hand of Him when he was sleeping
evokes her German lover s hand as he lay dead on the ground. So
the relationship between time and memory is a central theme of
this film.
Indeed, the techniques he perfected in a decade of
documentary production like the charming tracking shots that
envelope the viewer in the environment, carefully composed close
ups of faces and designing the light on them, the editing and
the poetic voice overs are used in a brilliant way in his movie.
Moreover, Resnais reveals unforgettable visual elements that
connected the viewer to the space of the movie, from the

Rankine World Cup Analysis
Rankine s awesome work on World Cup Clip At 2006 World Cup Final, the scenario which shocked
the world happened. The French Algerian soccer super star Zidane headbutted Italy s Marco Materazzi
after an offensive comment about racism on him. This incident hit a sensitive nerve of people around
the world including the author of KU s common book Citizen, Claudia Rankine. She spent 10 pages
talking about the incident by appropriating language from famous litterateurs like Shakespeare, James
Baldwin and Frantz Fanon. Also, she used the word Zidane said himself. The interesting part for me is
the situation video she made with her husband John Lucas about the slow motion of the whole process

As we know that the whole process of the Zidane and Materazzi s event was approximately 20
seconds. However, it took several minutes in the video. This let people to see every single moment in
the process clearly. At the same time, Rankine dubbed the video with her poems, lyrics and quotes
from famous litterateurs. For instance, Frederick Douglass said, But at the moment from whence came
the spirit I don t know I resolved to fight, and, suiting my action to the resolution. (Rankine 128) It
was the internal monologue of Zidane in the moment. Synchronously, Zidane in the video turned
around, stretched out his head, and headbutted Materazzi. This synchronized clip generated tons of
artistic effect as people saw the both internal and external activity a man had when facing a racism
attack. And the classical quotes and literary words Rankine wrote by herself worked as dubs created
even more arty atmosphere in the video. People tended to know better and understand deeper how
helpless, vulnerable and decisive Zidane was in the event and how sarcasm and meaningful the whole
thing was by watching the situational video Rankine made with her husband, John Lucas. In a
nutshell, the situational videos are the one of the greatest parts of Rankine s Citizen. She mixes and
matches different elements in the videos to make them fit well to the book and have deeper
understandings of a specific event. The World Cup situational video is marvelous because it does not
only have limitless artistic effect and reinforce the points Rankine made in the book , but also help
people have a multilayered understanding of the race problem happened in United States of

The Protest Of Tiananmen Square Protest
Tiananmen Square Protest
The Tiananmen Square protest occurred in 1989 in Beijing, China and was primarily student led.
Protesters were anxious about the country s future with political elites, and no longer wanted a
communist regime. In 1980, government reforms left the economy in a disaster, which benefited only
a certain few private citizens and government elites. Grievances included inflation, limited
preparedness of graduates for the new economy, and restrictions on political participation.
(edcuationrays) Students desired democracy, freedom of speech and press, and more accountability all
inspired by Westerners. When leader Hu Yaobang died, people took to Tiananmen Square to protest.
At its height, one million individuals occupied the Square. In response, China s new leader, Deng
Xiaoping, used force and declared martial law. As a result, 300,000 troops were sent to Beijing,
leading to widespread arrests and deaths. This event is extremely important because it led to more
intense sanctions on the citizens of China the opposite of what they hoped. The government responded
by suppressing freedom of press and speech and there was negative implication on international trade .
By analyzing grievance theory, relative deprivation, and collective action and how these describe how
citizens protested in Tiananmen Square, we can see why the protest erupted. Yet, it is not obvious by
the theories why the protest was unsuccessful and why the government responded with more

The Ephesians, One Of Great Intriguing Distinction Essay
The Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians is one of great intriguing distinction. The letter possesses unique
properties in comparison its fellow Prison Epistles namely, Philemon, Philippians and Colossians. The
author of this work seeks to further expound upon these unique properties and its implications for how
one should interpret the Epistle, specifically Ephesians 1:3 14. Authorship It has been generally
accepted that the Apostle Paul is the Author of the Epistle. The Early Church Leaders acknowledged
Paul s authorship of the letter to the Ephesians. According to historical documents, Polycarp, Ignatius
and Tertullian referenced Paul several times in connection with the writing of the Epistle. Despite such
a traditional acceptance of Paul s authorship of Ephesians there is a small minority of those who are
not convinced. Many who are not convinced of Paul s authorship argue that the teachings he presents
in Ephesians are unusually different from the teachings in his other works. The style of Greek used in
the Epistle is also quite different from that of the Prison Epistles. The impersonal nature of Ephesians
has also caused some theologians to question whether or not Paul actually wrote the Epistle. The
impersonal nature doesn t seem to be a characteristic of Paul s writings and with a place that Paul was
so familiar with it doesn t seem appropriate that he would write avoiding individual salutations. In
defense of the Apostle s authorship, we see that members of

Persuasive Essay On Growing Up
From the day you are born, to the day you die, society applies pressure to who you think you should
be. Growing older does not free you from all the expectations of your youth, and sometimes, wisdom
and freedom do not come with age. Throughout your entire life, you will be told what you should look
like and what you should enjoy doing. Growing up comes with restrictions; more responsibility,
sometimes less stability and a whole new set of expectations for how you should look. You lose the
freedom to dream and explore yourself due to the expectations of others. It can also come with
wisdom, friendship and maybe even love. Kids are told to figure out who they are as people when they

Long grey hair and a beard are not things associated with being a baby. Babies are small with no teeth,
they giggle at nothing and always look happy. Once you become a teen, acne is everywhere, hair is

look peaceful, heaven forbid someone over the age of 18 has pink hair! What is the point in living
your life, if you cannot be yourself? Life should come with freedom instead of constrictions. It does
not matter how old you are, looking a certain way is not exclusive to any age group. Since you were
young, you have likely heard adults say, Teenagers are lazy, or Wisdom comes with age. These
statements generalize people, making it seem wrong to be an old person who is not the smartest or a
hard working teenager. Consequently, humans tend to conform to these clichés, because they may
become ridiculed if choosing to remain astray. Benjamin is anything but expected, and his behaviors
are not always of typical kids. He eventually tries to fit in, like most people do and acts immaturely.

Wang Gender Roles
The Chinese film, The King of Masks (Tianming, 1996), is representative of the type of film that
embodies the traditional ideals of China. The story takes place in the 1930s, during which girls in
China were not highly valued or respected. Evidence of gender discrimination can be seen throughout
the film, particularly when families give daughters away for free while sons are valued higher. The
preference for sons over daughters is deeply intertwined with Chinese society as even early Confucian
teachings foster gender discrimination (Jiang, 234). While the film presents itself as a story of love
during harsh times, as portrayed through the development of the master apprentice relationship
between Doggie and Wang, it also comments on the social ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

After purchasing Doggie, whom he presumed was a boy, Wang s expressions lighten up as he can pass
on his secret skill to him. This changes when he discovers that Doggie is a girl. Wang s anger and
disgust at Doggie provokes the audience to feel a sense of sadness and unfairness for Doggie. As a
result, Doggie is no longer considered worthy to learn the secret skill of bian lian from Wang.
However, Doggie eventually wins Wang s affection and they both attend Master Liang s performance
of attaining Nirvana. It is during the opera that Doggie sees the Bodhisattva sacrificing herself to save
her father, a foreshadowing of what is to come. Tianming is able to illustrate the symbolic importance
of the Bodhisattva and the hope of redemption in which she embodies through Doggie s act. Her
determination to save Wang sets the scene for her to mimic the Bodhisattva and throw herself off the
building. In contrast to the sadness and suffering Doggie has endured, she represents the goodness of
humanity and establishes women s strength and necessity in society. Through this scene, Doggie has
symbolically reached Nirvana and rekindles her relationship with Wang, who realizes that Doggie is
more valuable than the son he wishes to

The Real World Consequences Of When Army Leaders Become...

security on the entrance of the COP or not. Once we finally took over the COP, we ensured that there

Violence In High School Sports Essay
Every athlete knows that playing sports comes with a price. A price of potentially destroying your
body and leaving you with lifelong aches and pains from playing the sport you loved as an adolescent.
This price is something many young people are willing to pay for the possibility of great reward.
Violence in High School sports can cause injuries because there is a lack of certified trainers available,
adolescents are undevelopment and their bodies are overused, and the violence can cause lifelong
injuries.
High school athletes are more susceptible to injuries due to a lack of recognition by coaches, trainers.

There is an estimated thirty million children competing in sports and most of their bodies aren t ready

equipment, growing cartilage may be more vulnerable to stresses and children may not have the
complex motor skills needed for certain sports until after puberty (Adirim). There are many athletic
diseases that come from the overuse in young athletes such as severs (in the heal), Osgood schlatter

Winston Churchill Was A British Statesman
Winston Churchill was born on November 30, 1874, in Dublin, Ireland. His father, Lord Randolph
Churchill, was a British statesman. His own father, John Spencer Churchill, was the 7th Duke of
Marlborough. Churchill s mother, Jeanette Jerome, was a New York socialite. A socialite is somehow
who is well known and thought of among the upper class for attending large social gatherings such as
parties or fund raising events on a regular basis.
In the early years of Churchill s schooling, he was quite unruly and did badly in his first two schools.
In the spring of 1888, he was sent to Harrow School, which was a boarding school near London,
England. After a very short time there, he joined the Rifle Corps. This action led to the beginning of
his own military career. One of the first steps to becoming an official member of the British military
was to pass an exam for the British Royal Military College. He took the acceptance exam three times
before finally passing it. At the end of his time there, he graduated 20th out of 130 in his class and was
believed to have been a solid member of the college while there.
Churchill s relationship with his parents was distant and almost based off of their own reputations,
rather than him actually knowing his parents extremely well. He wrote letters to his mother while in
college, begging her to visit him, but she rarely did. Duke John Spencer Churchill passed away when
Winston Churchill was only twenty one. It s often believed

entire rear quarter panel so they can assess the degree of damage to it. On most cars, part of the rear
quarter panel is actually not visible. In order to examine the entire rear quarter panel, often times the
auto body shop will have to remove your bumper and the closest rear tail light in order to fully
evaluate the level of damage done to your vehicle. This is referred ... Show more content on

If they had to remove your bumper or tail light in order to access the rear quarter panel, than they will
have to put them back on your vehicle. This entire process can take a couple of hours to achieve.
Paint The Panel
When you have work done on your rear quarter panel, the auto body shop is most likely going to need
to remove the paint from your vehicle to fix the damage. That means they are going to have to put
primary on your rear quarter panel, paint it, and then seal it. In order to get the new paint to blend in
with the old paint on your vehicle, they will most likely use a blending technique. This technique
requires them to spray new paint onto the areas around your rear quarter panel, such as your door and
bumper, in order to blend the paint and make the paint job look smooth.
Check For Mechanical Damage
After all of the body work is done, the auto body shop will then drive your vehicle and make sure that
your tire and all steering mechanisms were not damaged as well. They will most likely at least suggest
that you get your tires realigned since they would have removed your rear tire in order to work on
your rear quarter panel. If any work needs done to your suspension, arm bar or other parts connected
to the tire, this is when you would find out about any additional work that needs

Assessment Of Bod, Cod As Organic Pollution Indicator...
ASSESSMENT OF BOD, COD AS ORGANIC POLLUTION INDICATOR LEVELS OF VARHALA
LAKE ABSTRACT Lakes are of great importance both from the natural and economic point of view.
Lake water is a source of drinking and domestic water supply for people living in and around the area.
The present study was conducted to assess the organic pollution indicators like BOD, COD and DO.
The sampling of water was based on human and aquatic activities around the lake. Water from five
sampling stations of Varhala Lake was monitored for seasonal variations from May 2011 to April
2012. The BOD was positively correlated with COD of 0.609, as both are the products of oxidation.
The correlation between DO and BOD, gave a negative relationship of 0.517 between two variables.
Keywords: Water quality monitoring; pollution indicators; Varhala Lake INTRODUCTION Most of
our water resources are gradually becoming polluted due to the addition of foreign materials from the
surroundings. Rapid urbanization and industrialization has put a lot of pressure on the existing water
bodies (Waziri et al., 2009; Sawant and Telave, 2009). Anthropogenic development and changes
around lakes affects their ecosystems (Mouri, G et al 2011). Lakes have a complex and fragile
ecosystem, as they do not have a self cleaning ability and therefore readily accumulate pollutants
(Abida et al 2008; J.C Akan et al 2012). Continuous water quality monitoring is essential for efficient
management of lakes and for control of pollution. It is

Is Hypnosis Fake
centuries
Hypnosis essay
What I think about Hypnosis is that it is fake. These are the reasons why I think that Hypnosis is fake.
One reason is that if someone let s just say, tells you to act like a chicken while they hypnotize you,
you are probably not going to act like a chicken, but there is a chance that you could act like a
chicken. One of the reasons I think that hypnosis is fake is because like there is proof that is real buts
like what if behind the scenes they tell each other what they are going to say and stuff and then they
say bark like a dog so the person just barks like a dog. But if it was real because there are ways like
with people who smoke they went to some place and got hypnotized and then they stopped smoking.

Also, it s a fact that not everyone is susceptible to hypnosis. Some people seem to possess a trait called
hypnotizability that, like other traits, varies greatly among individuals. To be successfully hypnotized,
a person must want to undergo the process voluntarily and also possess at least a moderate degree of
hypnotizability. Even highly hypnotizable people may not benefit from hypnotherapy, and a single
session of hypnosis usually does not produce lasting results. Often, a person will have to undergo a
series of hypnotic procedures to reinforce whatever constructive suggestions may be given. The most
frequent clinical uses of hypnosis include: breaking bad habits, overcoming insomnia, recalling
forgotten experiences, and as an anesthetic for managing pain. You can easily test the benefits of self
hypnosis. Simply sit or lie down and get comfortable in a quiet setting. Then, close your eyes and take
in a few deep breaths, slowly, in and out. This places many people into a mild trance and a state of
comfortable relaxation. In this state, say some optimistic things to yourself and picture some

imprisonment. Plato s cave theory applies to all of these ideas and can show many different
perspectives. While everyone has a different opinion on religion and its origins, Plato s story may have

How Does Henry Fleming Fantasize In The Red Badge Of Courage
A War of Wounds War, a terrifying and dangerous word in today s society; most are fought over oil
and terrorism in foreign countries half a world away. However, in the 1860 s Americans are fighting a
civil war for their beliefs, and more importantly, glory. At least, that is what Henry Fleming fantasizes
when he gets ready for his first battle in The Red Badge of Courage (Published by Bantam Classics,
copyright 2004). The protagonist soon realizes the danger he has placed himself into after getting
bombarded with cannonballs and bullets. He struggles to maintain his pride after running away from

After realizing the mistake he made, Henry makes his way to the battlefield where he asks a fellow
soldier why they are losing. The soldier hits Fleming in the head with the butt of his rifle and knocks
him unconscious. He later awakens and clumsily makes his way back to his regiment camp. When the
guards ask him how he has gotten injured the private replies that he was shot in the head. The narrator
explains, Gee, it must hurt like thunder? he said. The youth leaned heavily upon his friend. Yes, it

Henry s voice when he takes a pause in his speech; the falter and words hurts a good deal shows how
Private Fleming feels guilty for lying about his injury, but finds it necessary in order not no be a
disgrace to the army. Deception and lies are abundant in most wars, and even though Union Soldiers
are supposed to be on the same side, lying occurs almost everywhere. Furthermore, most of the lies
pertain to if the injury is real or superficial. Wounds can represent shame and glory, but if a soldier

Analysis Of The Suffering Servant Of Isaiah 53
Bock s book is a compilation of essays by a number of different people who believe that Jesus is the
Messiah and as the title shares, that Jesus is the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53. There are three parts
that the volume is divided into. Richard Averbeck starts off the text by analyzing Christian
interpretations of Isa 52.13 53.12. The chapter supplies a helpful discussion of Franz Delitzsch s
interpretation of a three level pyramid. In the pyramid, the servant songs in Isaiah have a sweeping
reference to Israel as an elect nation as well as a more specific indication to the remnant within Israel.
Then the most precise referent being the Suffering Servant who exemplifies the assignment of the
remnant for Israel and Israel for the nations. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Two sermons are used to show the reader how to preach Isaiah 53. John S. Feinberg gives a timely
discussion on the postmodern themes in Isaiah 53. Feinburg puts emphasis on the narrative of
postmoderns and stresses the personal narrative structure of the chapter by asserting, It is also the
story of a God who wants so desperately to have a relationship with his people that he sent his servant
to tell them and show them how much he cares for them (p. 214). Mitch Glaser presents his own
testimony of how Isaiah 53 was useful in his own growth and testimony. He overviews some of the
differing methods in which Isaiah 53 has been and is used in evangelism to Jewish people. Then he
analyzes the polemical use from contemporary objections and responses to those objections to Isaiah
53. He explains orthodox Jewish objections to Isaiah 53 s use by Christians as opposed to the average
Jewish person s more secular outlook to the passage. Too often, we assume that Jews think like
Christians when it comes to God s holiness, personal sin, and blood atonement. However, this is not
so.
The scholarship of the book overall is terrific. It includes well known and trustworthy scholars
providing the solid and competent scholarship I was expecting. The Evangelical side of some of the
authors was not as strong as it could have been, especially in the discussion of the historical critical
approach to Isaiah. The evangelistic aim of the book may confuse some; however, the clear aim is to
convert. The writiers are only taking the commandment of God to make disciples and preparing fellow
Christians with the knowledge they may need when approaching a

Hitler s Fall And Defeat Of The World War II
The Second World War is absolutely understood as one of the most impactful events within the last
century. From the horrendous murderous acts of the Holocaust to the unveiling of the atomic bomb on
Hiroshima, the war was anything but boring. Every stage of the war proved to be more significant than
the previous, and the ultimate end of World War II is what historians tend to focus on even more than
all other stages of the war. The fall and defeat of the German Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler, is still under
investigation and analysis from almost all academia historians. Hitler s fall and Germany s defeat is
what is most impactful about the ending of World War II and the reasoning behind its happening.
Although the defeat of Germany in World War II can be attributed towards a myriad of reasons, two of
the most significant reasons were Hitler s stubbornness to seize oil to power his army, and the strategic
bombing of Germany and German occupied lands by the Allied Forces. Both of these systems can be
directly related towards the defeat of Hitler and the victory of the Allied Forces in World War II. Prior
to his invasion and betrayal of the USSR, Adolf Hitler relied heavily on Josef Stalin and his oil
resources. Specifically in the Azerbaijan city of Baku, oil was a commodity that was worshiped by its
townspeople, and was drilled, packaged and sent to the German and Russian forces. Baku was so rich
in oil that it would extract almost 25 million tons of oil for the first year of the

Significance And Significance Of Outsourcing
It is an evident fact that outsourcing is quite prevalent practice among both public and private
organizations. It has been considered as one of the prime elements of any business strategy. It is with
the aid of outsourcing that organizations attempt to reduce the overall cost of sustenance and augment
organizational productivity in comprehensive terms. The activity of outsourcing enables the
organization to render higher level of emphasis on core activities of business. In the past thirty years,
various researchers have undertaken researches to support outsourcing as a mechanism for bringing
down organizational costs in a substantial manner. But the comprehensive impact of outsourcing
remains to be seen. This research work will assess the relevance and significance of outsourcing in
reference to the process of new product development. It is a given fact that the process of new product
development is a highly knowledge driven activity and thereby depends on array of other activities. It
is highly dependent on organization s capabilities to manage uncertainties throughout the course of
new product development. Hence, various concerns in reference to acquisition of knowledge and
application need to be managed in the right manner. In the words of Ford et al (1993), the main reason
for cost reduction is that organizations engage in the process of outsourcing. Hence outsourcing of
new product development process can be regarded as a tool to decrease the high costs that are

there is no reason why you should not enjoy it during the winter. Also, there is no reason to skip grill if
you live in a small apartment without big terrace where you may put a big grill with a gas bottle or a

How Did Broussard Join The American Revolution
Amand Broussard also has his own personal reasons for joining the American Revolution. Broussard,
a Spanish citizen had little reason to take sides in the war. After relocating to New Orleans, Broussard
had succeeded as a farmer, gotten married and had a son. However, despite his seemingly happy life
New Orleans, Broussard still held a grudge against the British Empire for forcing his family out of
Acadia in the 1750 s and dreamed that this new war could be the opportunity to avenge their parents
and prove themselves worthy Acadian heirs (pg.70). Broussard s hatred of the British and thirst for

Circadian Rhythms Research Paper
My science research project question is which light wavelengths from screens have the worst and best
effect on your circadian rhythms. Which electronic device screens affect your sleep patterns. Circadian
rhythms is the twenty four hour clock in your brain that monitors your sleep schedule. Our circadian
rhythms are affected by the sun. The sun dictates our sleep patterns, however since there are other
sources of light they can tell our brains when to sleep or to wake up. If you are looking at a electronic

various screen filters to see which filter is the best. There are many different brands of screen filters;
however, I will just test the most generic ones, for the most common devices. First, I will test a
privacy screen, which prevents glare and disables someone to see the screen from a side view. The
second screen I will test are glasses that you can wear for any screen that you use to block blue light

will test is the iPhone screen. The smartphone has the most extreme level of blue light out of all the
electronic devices, therefore the screen filter should be the best since the most powerful level of blue
light is emitted. All the screens will block majority of the unnecessary blue light, but I would like to
see how much is blocked compared to how much is emitted from the device. For the glasses I would

much glare blockage has to do with light

  • 2. The War On Drugs And Drugs The war on drugs is a long going battle and it has created many issues all around the world and as of today the highest prison population can be found in the United States due to drug charges. About half of the inmates with in federal and state prisons can be found on drug convictions. Those charges can range from possession of an illicit substance to drug trafficking that surprisingly continues to be an issue in federal and state prisons. How can United States put an end to the war on drugs? Many people cope with drug use, abuse, and many inmates who have been convicted on drug offenses deal with addiction as well. The United States has the leading amount of people within the prison system and most are for drug offenses nevertheless, many of those people contend with drug addiction. Drug addiction is a disease that so many cope with; it is reliance on a substance and for whatever reason the addiction continues to take over one s life and choices. Drug abusers can sometimes see a means to an end when it comes to their drug addiction, whether its alcohol, a hardcore drug like heroin or cocaine, or prescription medication the person will do what it takes to feed their addiction. People have their reasons for why they need to do drugs, it could be to escape their own reality, a coping mechanism, or it could be just because it makes them feel good. Sometimes that need can surpass a person s better judgement leading to criminal acts being committed because they need to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Conduct Forcible Entry Operations During The Korean War Essay The current amphibious concepts and capabilities of the US ensure that we are better prepared to conduct forcible entry operations than we were during the landing at Inchon, and subsequent liberation of Seoul. Amphibious concepts, such as seabasing, amphibious command and control (C2), and the Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) allow forces to project power across domains. Proof of concept exercises like Bold Alligator continue to refine our amphibious capability to provide flexible, scalable, responsive forces that can conduct a multitude of missions. Inchon, during the Korean War, highlights the benefit of maneuver warfare and joint operations. However, security operations, intelligence, and speed were deficient during Operation CHROMITE. World War II demonstrated a lack of preparedness to conduct amphibious operations in the Pacific by the US and Great Britain. The Pacific Campaign and Inchon prove the need to maintain a professional amphibious force and the importance of concepts like seabasing, C2, and the ESG in amphibious operations. Applying the concepts of seabasing, C2, and the ESG in joint exercises with platforms such as Maritime Prepositioning Force, multipurpose amphibious assault ships (LHD), Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC), AV 8B Vertical/Short Take Off and Landing (VSTOL) jets, and MV 22 tilt rotor aircraft ensure that we are better prepared to conduct forcible entry operations than we were during the landing at Inchon, and subsequent liberation of Seoul. ... Western countries are the main consumer in terms of chocolate consumption, and Ivory Coast is the biggest cocoa producer supplying 60% of world s cocoa beans. More than 10 million people rely on the cocoa beans productions in Ivory Coast, however there are uses of child trafficking and force them into slave labour. Children are malnutrition and they are working under very poor conditions and environment, using hazardous equipment such as machete without proper safety regulation. The use of child labour violates the definition of fair trade according to world fair trade organization: fair trade is a fair partnership designed to aid producers in developing countries; helps contribute to sustainability by offering better trading conditions and securing rights of workers. In my opinion this issue is very serious and should be taken action internationally, children are ignored and have to work in horrendous conditions which defy the Catholic Principles of Social Justice human dignity, active involvement, rights to work and the common good. Social justice is ignored in this video, especially human dignity. The Catholic Principle of Social Justice states that principle of human dignity every person has the right to have their primary needs fulfilled: food, shelter, clothing, education and work. The purpose of utilizing third person omniscient is to help the audience develop a deeper understanding of the characters and how they function and act in the Igbo society. 9. Social/Political/Philosophical Agendas or Issues Being Dealt with by the Author(Themes) One of the biggest agendas of Achebe in writing this novel is to present the point of view of the tribal Africans. The presence of the Christian missionaries prove this point and Achebe recognized this problem and how it essentially wiped out the true culture and tradition of the Igbo. He wanted to display the real problems and lives of the Igbo society without any outside influence. Another important theme that is conveyed is that being too strict or ambitious with our children cautions us to behave with prudence as opposed to emotion. Throughout the book, Okonkwo lives by emotion and his only goal is to come off as a strong fighter. His strict attitude towards Nwoye only causes him to act against Okonkwo s choice and join the Christian missionaries. Achebe shows that we should be flexible and raise our kids with judgement and leniency, because if we rule by emotion, it can lead to our downfall. (As seen in both Okonkwo and ... Topic reveal: And when we are socially connected to others, we are happier, healthier, and live longer lives. C. Credibility establishment: In an article entitled Happiness for a lifetime published in the 2010 issue of the Greater Good Magazine, psychologist Sonja Lyubomirsky discusses a key insight from her research conducted with colleagues Ken Sheldon and Dave Schkade. 1. 50% of happiness is in our genes (a relatively small %), 40% in behavior and daily activities, and 10% on lifestyle. 2. In one of the studies, they asked one group of students to do all five of their acts of kindness in one single day (they felt one single day and a small act would be more powerful), did succeed in making them happier, when the acts were small and conducted that day, it was more powerful to be more concentrated Why might kindness have these kinds of effects on our happiness? I believe that when you are kind and generous to others, you start to see yourself as a generous person, so it s good for your self perception. • 8. Theme Of Hiroshima Mon Amour In this essay I will be comparing two films, Hiroshima mon amour by Alain Resnais, and Level 5 by Chris Marker. I will discuss the similarities and differences between them, going through the plot, the cinematography and the theme of each movie. I will also talk about the protagonists, actions, technical stuff, and how these are aimed at each film s target audience. First of all, I would like to represent each movie. Hiroshima mon amour is a 1959 drama film, directed by French film director Alain Resnais. The movie is about a French actress who s making an anti war film in the once devastated, but now rebuilt city of Hiroshima, begins an intense affair with a Japanese architect, the one who becomes her lover and ... • 10. Rankine World Cup Analysis Rankine s awesome work on World Cup Clip At 2006 World Cup Final, the scenario which shocked the world happened. The French Algerian soccer super star Zidane headbutted Italy s Marco Materazzi after an offensive comment about racism on him. This incident hit a sensitive nerve of people around the world including the author of KU s common book Citizen, Claudia Rankine. She spent 10 pages talking about the incident by appropriating language from famous litterateurs like Shakespeare, James Baldwin and Frantz Fanon. Also, she used the word Zidane said himself. The interesting part for me is the situation video she made with her husband John Lucas about the slow motion of the whole process from the racism comment by Marco on Zidane to the end of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As we know that the whole process of the Zidane and Materazzi s event was approximately 20 seconds. However, it took several minutes in the video. This let people to see every single moment in the process clearly. At the same time, Rankine dubbed the video with her poems, lyrics and quotes from famous litterateurs. For instance, Frederick Douglass said, But at the moment from whence came the spirit I don t know I resolved to fight, and, suiting my action to the resolution. (Rankine 128) It was the internal monologue of Zidane in the moment. Synchronously, Zidane in the video turned around, stretched out his head, and headbutted Materazzi. This synchronized clip generated tons of artistic effect as people saw the both internal and external activity a man had when facing a racism attack. And the classical quotes and literary words Rankine wrote by herself worked as dubs created even more arty atmosphere in the video. People tended to know better and understand deeper how helpless, vulnerable and decisive Zidane was in the event and how sarcasm and meaningful the whole thing was by watching the situational video Rankine made with her husband, John Lucas. In a nutshell, the situational videos are the one of the greatest parts of Rankine s Citizen. She mixes and matches different elements in the videos to make them fit well to the book and have deeper understandings of a specific event. • 12. The Protest Of Tiananmen Square Protest Tiananmen Square Protest The Tiananmen Square protest occurred in 1989 in Beijing, China and was primarily student led. Protesters were anxious about the country s future with political elites, and no longer wanted a communist regime. In 1980, government reforms left the economy in a disaster, which benefited only a certain few private citizens and government elites. Grievances included inflation, limited preparedness of graduates for the new economy, and restrictions on political participation. (edcuationrays) Students desired democracy, freedom of speech and press, and more accountability all inspired by Westerners. When leader Hu Yaobang died, people took to Tiananmen Square to protest. At its height, one million individuals occupied the Square. In response, China s new leader, Deng Xiaoping, used force and declared martial law. As a result, 300,000 troops were sent to Beijing, leading to widespread arrests and deaths. This event is extremely important because it led to more intense sanctions on the citizens of China the opposite of what they hoped. The government responded by suppressing freedom of press and speech and there was negative implication on international trade . • 13. The Ephesians, One Of Great Intriguing Distinction Essay The Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians is one of great intriguing distinction. The letter possesses unique properties in comparison its fellow Prison Epistles namely, Philemon, Philippians and Colossians. The author of this work seeks to further expound upon these unique properties and its implications for how one should interpret the Epistle, specifically Ephesians 1:3 14. Authorship It has been generally accepted that the Apostle Paul is the Author of the Epistle. The Early Church Leaders acknowledged Paul s authorship of the letter to the Ephesians. According to historical documents, Polycarp, Ignatius and Tertullian referenced Paul several times in connection with the writing of the Epistle. Despite such a traditional acceptance of Paul s authorship of Ephesians there is a small minority of those who are not convinced. Many who are not convinced of Paul s authorship argue that the teachings he presents in Ephesians are unusually different from the teachings in his other works. The style of Greek used in the Epistle is also quite different from that of the Prison Epistles. The impersonal nature of Ephesians has also caused some theologians to question whether or not Paul actually wrote the Epistle. The impersonal nature doesn t seem to be a characteristic of Paul s writings and with a place that Paul was so familiar with it doesn t seem appropriate that he would write avoiding individual salutations. In defense of the Apostle s authorship, we see that members of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The story takes place in the 1930s, during which girls in China were not highly valued or respected. Evidence of gender discrimination can be seen throughout the film, particularly when families give daughters away for free while sons are valued higher. The preference for sons over daughters is deeply intertwined with Chinese society as even early Confucian teachings foster gender discrimination (Jiang, 234). The Evangelical side of some of the authors was not as strong as it could have been, especially in the discussion of the historical critical approach to Isaiah. The evangelistic aim of the book may confuse some; however, the clear aim is to convert. The writiers are only taking the commandment of God to make disciples and preparing fellow Christians with the knowledge they may need when approaching a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Hitler s Fall And Defeat Of The World War II The Second World War is absolutely understood as one of the most impactful events within the last century. From the horrendous murderous acts of the Holocaust to the unveiling of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, the war was anything but boring. Every stage of the war proved to be more significant than the previous, and the ultimate end of World War II is what historians tend to focus on even more than all other stages of the war. The fall and defeat of the German Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler, is still under investigation and analysis from almost all academia historians. Hitler s fall and Germany s defeat is what is most impactful about the ending of World War II and the reasoning behind its happening. Although the defeat of Germany in World War II can be attributed towards a myriad of reasons, two of the most significant reasons were Hitler s stubbornness to seize oil to power his army, and the strategic bombing of Germany and German occupied lands by the Allied Forces. Both of these systems can be directly related towards the defeat of Hitler and the victory of the Allied Forces in World War II. Prior to his invasion and betrayal of the USSR, Adolf Hitler relied heavily on Josef Stalin and his oil resources. Specifically in the Azerbaijan city of Baku, oil was a commodity that was worshiped by its townspeople, and was drilled, packaged and sent to the German and Russian forces. Baku was so rich in oil that it would extract almost 25 million tons of oil for the first year of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 34. How Did Broussard Join The American Revolution Amand Broussard also has his own personal reasons for joining the American Revolution. Broussard, a Spanish citizen had little reason to take sides in the war. After relocating to New Orleans, Broussard had succeeded as a farmer, gotten married and had a son. However, despite his seemingly happy life New Orleans, Broussard still held a grudge against the British Empire for forcing his family out of Acadia in the 1750 s and dreamed that this new war could be the opportunity to avenge their parents and prove themselves worthy Acadian heirs (pg.70). Which electronic device screens affect your sleep patterns. Circadian rhythms is the twenty four hour clock in your brain that monitors your sleep schedule. Our circadian rhythms are affected by the sun. The sun dictates our sleep patterns, however since there are other sources of light they can tell our brains when to sleep or to wake up. If you are looking at a electronic screen, your eyes think that it is the sun and they tell your brain to wake up and not to prepare you for sleep. If you look at a screen right before you go to bed, it will take you a long time to actually go to sleep because you had just ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are also many applications that change the whole color of the screen. Instead of everything being so bright and blue, everything has a red tint to it and is duller. Unfortunately, I cannot test the applications because I cannot take the smartphone screen out of a phone to test. I will be testing various screen filters to see which filter is the best. There are many different brands of screen filters; however, I will just test the most generic ones, for the most common devices. First, I will test a privacy screen, which prevents glare and disables someone to see the screen from a side view. The second screen I will test are glasses that you can wear for any screen that you use to block blue light and eye damage. The third screen I will test is a computer blue light screen filter. The final screen I will test is the iPhone screen. The smartphone has the most extreme level of blue light out of all the electronic devices, therefore the screen filter should be the best since the most powerful level of blue light is emitted. All the screens will block majority of the unnecessary blue light, but I would like to see how much is blocked compared to how much is emitted from the device. For the glasses I would like to see how much is blocked for the average screen. Finally, for the antiglare screen, I will see how much glare blockage has to do with light ...
