Business Ethics And Corporate Social Responsibility
Nowadays, a business wants to exist and grow in a society, which business ethics and corporate social
responsibility are sensitive and crucial objectives, the business should do what is right. Many people
agree that business does not exist beyond society, it is a citizenship in the society. Therefore, business
has to have many certain obligations and social responsibility. It generally means business have to do
something good for the community, making social contribution, and using effectively resources in a
way that next generations can continue to use them. Especially, business managers should pay
attention not only their companies financial aspects, but also their social and environmental
contributions. In the past, TideeKleen used to be a famous company in its fields, with strong
reputation for social and environment responsibility. Unfortunately, the company hit temporarily
financial and reputational issues. Standing among three tough choices, the company should make
decision which satisfies all parties related, helping the company overcome the issue, and bringing the
most benefits for the company about financial and reputational aspects. Firstly, what do utilitarian
comment about three options? Let s consider option A, TK could benefit from avoiding legally its
responsibility and expenses, increasing in stock price. Furthermore, its stock owners would pass over
financially issues. However, the option A harms its creditors, older worker, contaminated site, and the

Introduction Of Sudden Cardiac Death
Introduction
Sudden cardiac death (SCD) is the leading cause of death in exercising young athletes. 1 Current
estimates of the incidence of SCD in athletes range from almost one in a million to 1:23,000 athletes
per year, while some subpopulations of athletes are reported at even higher risk with an incidence of 1
in 3,000. 2 Such deaths often receive more attention because of the youth of the victims and the
perception that physically trained athletes are healthy. 3 SCD is often a result of structural cardiac
abnormalities that can be detected through the use of pre participation physicals. 1 Pre participation
cardiovascular screening is the systematic practice of medically evaluating large, general populations
of athletes before participation to eliminate risk of SCD. 3 The National Athletic Trainers Association
(NATA) requires BOC (Board of Certification) certified athletic trainers to be educated, trained, and
evaluated in six major practice domains. 4 Prevention and clinical evaluation are two of the six
domains. The American Heart Association suggests that pre screening athletes can improve the
detection of cardiac abnormalities. 5 Athletic Trainers are increasingly required to be the health care
professionals administering pre participation physicals. Athletic trainers need to have clinical
competence such as knowledge and skill, and confidence in performing cardiac auscultations to
effectively detect cardiac abnormalities in athletes. The purpose of this study is

Personal Narrative-My First President Bill Clinton
I found myself in bar in downtown alexandria, the day before president elect donald trump would be
sworn into office as the 45th president of the united states. I was enjoying a beer when conversation
between a stranger and myself manifested in the way that conversations at bars do spontaneously. His
name was john and surprisingly he attended jmu just a few years ago. We made small talk and relished
in what a coincidence it was to have met each other. It wasn t long before the conversation turned
political, not a surprise for the dc metro area and especially with the election just a day away. I liked
john, he seemed like a nice guy, however i found myself in strong disagreement with his political
beliefs. I m liberal and john was an avid trump ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I waded through the crowds, and struck up conversations with anyone willing. One gentleman stated
that trump would be the only president that wasn t a politician, forgetting Reagan, Eisenhower, Grant,
and of course George Washington, just to name a few. A group of protesters, held up signs that read
resist and called trump a fascist, but when questioned on the definition of fascism, didn t know it; alas
the ignorance is nonpartisan. Protesters were heard chanting blocks away during Trump s speech,
although faint. Quickly after i made my way to the protests, not necessarily to take part, but to witness
just as i witnessed the inauguration. At mcpherson square in dc there was quite a large gathering, and
michael moore gave a speech to inspire us into action. As i walked around taking the experience in, i
noticed a couple young trump supporters with their red hats on, being surrounded by a group of
protesters dressed in all black. Things turned violent, with water bottles being thrown, then rocks, and
eventually one was kicked to the ground. I helped him up, and escorted him away from the hostile
protesters but just as we were clear, a masked man hit him with a stick from a nearby tree. My initial
instinct was to go after him, and i lunged, however i second guessed myself and attended to the fallen
trump supporter until the medic

Our Journey through the City of Paris at Night
Paris is a beautiful city during the day, but at night, it changes. The first thing that is seen are all the
lights from the shops, buildings and streetlights. These lights brighten up Paris and give it a different
but just as beautiful perspective at night. The Eiffel Tower, one of the top attractions in Paris that
tourists come to see can be described as an iron, lace work of art, and the most recognized structure in
the world, and at night with the glow of its lights, it stands out like a guiding lighthouse. We could see
this beautiful tower wherever we stood day or night. My choir group was invited to sing in some of
the cathedrals in Paris. One night after we had a concert and had dinner, our tour guide gave us an
option of either staying on the bus or getting off and taking a tour down the Seine River to see the
Eiffel Tower at night. If we should choose this option, we needed to find a different way back to the
hotel as the bus driver was not going to come back for us. My family and a few others chose to take
the tour down the river. On the boat, we could see different buildings, museums and the Eiffel Tower.
On the tour, we also passed under the famous bridges in Paris. Two of the buildings I remember
viewing were the Louvre, and Norte Dame. From the boat, I could also see the Louvre pyramid which
sits in the courtyard of the Louvre Palace. The Louvre Pyramid is a large glass and metal pyramid,
surrounded by three smaller pyramids. The

Salisbury Sage Diner s Character Analysis
I had just turned ten when my mom first took me to the Salisbury Chess Club. The dilapidated Sage
Diner dressed as if it were in the 50s (Absolute), I was immediately enamored by the chess pieces.
Soon, I established a reputation for myself as a capricious, impatient tactician able to beat all but the
most experienced players. I played with one of the better players, Phil (Appositive), almost every
week. Through those games, I learned many values, like patience and carefulness, that not only apply
to chess but also to life. One late Autumn Wednesday night, after my mom and I had just settled in the
Sage Diner (Preposition), I noticed that there were only a few players. Two of them had already began
a game, so I asked Phil for a chess game.

U.s. Foreign Policy During The Middle East
For over the last two decades the Middle East has gradually gathered attention and has come to the
forefront of U.S. foreign policy. The focus on this region began primarily after the attacks on the two
World Trade Center s in New York City on September 11th, 2001. Iraq was the initial target in the
response to the devastating tragedy. This response involved an indefinite occupation with the intention
of eliminating weapons of mass destruction , with intelligence under the Bush Administration
allegedly confirming their existence. As this undeclared war on Iraq took place, U.S. foreign policy
was initiated. It consisted of bringing down an authoritarian regime and establishing democracy within
the state of Iraq, along with decimating any potential threats to the U.S. homeland. The major threat
lying with terrorist organizations in the region such as Al Qaeda, who were to blame for the 9/11
attacks on U.S. soil. Eventually the deployment of troops into Iraq was left without any particular
cause, due to the revelation that Saddam Hussein s regime had no possession of any nuclear weapons.
And as U.S. troops struggled to figure out exactly what they were fighting for, an insurgency began to
emerge. Is the U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East the cause of insurgency in the region along with
the eventual formation of militant groups such as ISIS? The policies carried out by the United States
consisted of establishing order and democracy in a state while also preventing any

The Nazi Regime Enjoyed Broad Consent Brought About by...
As in any country, the support of the working classes was essential for Hitler to maintain the power he
had over Germany. Hitler s use of Strength through Joy holidays is the discussed topic in the given
sources. Whilst all sources show different opinions on this topic, they all agree that, to a certain extent,
that Hitler s use of popular policies was instrumental in his enormous support base. Despite all sources
coming from accredited historians it must also be considered that there will always be an element of
bias in people s work, and their opinions should not be taken as fact.
Source Y, written by Hans Dieter Schafer, suggests that Hitler played on state paternalism, by vastly

Without a designated union to fight for them, working classes could not bargain for higher wages or
shorter hours. Fest does not pretend that this was for the benefit of the people and suggest that this sort
of contempt for the working classes was typical of Hitler. The source highlights the considerable
deprivation of political rights which is a key theme within this question, the overall feeling from
source z is that the system which Hitler installed was not successful, however, it can be strongly
argued that is was, as seen in source y, his manipulation of the lower classes provided Hitler with what
can only be described as a mass following.
Both source y and z suggest that Hitler understood workers mentality; in contrast source aa suggests
that the regime believed Strength through Joy could have an ideological impact. What this source,
written by Richard Evans, shows is that the workers had no understanding, nor did they care for
politics, which is a strong contradiction to the theme in source z. It is suggested that the working
classes just saw the holidays as an escape from everyday life. However, where this source is lacking is
its lack of content over the cultural aspects of the holidays. It states that they were appreciated , but is
not conclusive as to whether the workers were won over by Nazism via the programme. The general
consensus as the end of this source is reached is that the programme was

The Afterlife And August Sky
The characters in both stories experience important, but hard to deal with rites of passages. For
example, we see in October Sky how O dell has to deal with his abusive step dad. In The Afterlife we
read how Robert all his life has had to deal with not having a home to live in because his parents left
him. These are all important because they can affect the characters later on in there life. Making them
act or think a certain way about the type of situations they are going through or went through. The
purpose of this essay is to explain the similarities and differences between two texts. The two texts,
The Afterlife and October Sky, are similar in some ways, but very different in other ways. To begin
with, one similarity I could find between these two texts was how in both stories there is a character
that has to deal with not having a home for themselves due to their parents leaving them. In October
Sky we see how Homer finds were Quentin lives to get help from him to be able to solve some math
equations to prove his innocence. They work together to solve these equations and then after they are
finished they step outside. Quentin asks Homer to not tell the rest of the rocket boys that he lives in a
governor s mansion. We see here that he is going through a family Issue in this case more specifically
being abandoned by his parents. In The Afterlife we see the same exact rite of passage. In this case
Robert is the character dealing with being abandoned

The Power Of The Bourgeoisie
In reaction to the power the bourgeoisie have over the proletariat, the narrator uses her defense
mechanism of acting out to get power over herself back. Acting out involves preforming external
actions that mirror how one is internally feeling. This can be seen when the narrator breaks a rule in
the manual, and seeks affection from her window friend in the male shelter. As she states, Tonight, his
light isn t on and so we don t wave, but still, I undress in front of my lit window. I can t know if he s
watching from the darkness, or who else is watching, for that matter (Cook 50). By undressing in the
window, the narrator is showing the bourgeoisie that she is in control of her actions. Moreover, by
changing her physical appearance, the narrator gains more control over her body. As she states, For a
couple of weeks I allow myself a little moment. I scrape other woman s leftovers onto my plate. I eat
the treats my old floor still sends, even though I don t like them (Cook 53). By increasing her food
consumption, the narrator is making her self less desirable in the bourgeois lens; consequently limiting
her chances of getting chosen by a wealthy person. Since she is in control of her desirability, this
shows the narrators success in gaining power over her body and where she chooses to belong.
Ultimately, through her defense mechanism of acting out, the narrator gains power over her actions
and body back from the bourgeoisie. Furthermore, the narrator uses her defense

The Yanomamo of the Amazon Basin Essay
Yanomamo Paper Assignment
Napoleon Chagnon has spent about 60 months since 1964 studying the foot people of the Amazon
Basin known as the Yanomamo. In his ethnography, Yanomamo, he describes all of the events of his
stay in the Venezuelan jungle. He describes the hideous appearance of the Yanomamo men when first
meeting them, and their never ending demands for Chagnon s foreign goods, including his food. There
are many issues that arise when considering Chagnon s Yanomamo study. The withholding of
genealogical information by the tribesmen, and how Chagnon was able to obtain his information is an
interesting and significant aspect of this study. Why did Chagnon feel that this genealogical
information was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He even increased the reward given to villagers who were willing to give genealogical information
and therefore created a rapid craze of helping villagers. This way, they were competing to give him
information for their eventual rewards, not plotting against him. It took him months to compile his
accurate collection of genealogical data, and even after gathering most of it, he still needed his friend,
Rerebawa, to double check most of it for him. He even went so far as to seek out other villages who
had bad relations with Bisaasi teri to break the name taboo and give away names.
Chagnon felt that the most important aspect of his research in Bisaasi teri was to collect genealogical
information and organize the marriages and relations between the villagers. This turned out to be his
most difficult task, but nonetheless the most useful. He tells in the very beginning of the ethnography
that the Yanomamo are considered a very primitive societal organization of human beings. The most
obvious sign of primitive human life is simply the way the dress. In addition, their fickle nature, lack
of industry, methods of hunting and gathering, and political organization, contribute to their primitive
nature.
As proved by anthropologists, primitive human life is essentially based on genealogy, marriage
practices, kinship, settlement arrangements and political affairs. It was through

IHSDA Dance
Hard Work Pays Off
Our coaches had told us since the beginning that the months and months we would spend preparing
for one particular day would all be worth it in the end. Taking place at New Castle Fieldhouse in early
March 2015, I competed in the IHSDTA Dance team competition with my fellow teammates and
members of the NHS dance team. We walked into the vast, expansive Fieldhouse knowing that it was
the largest High School Fieldhouse in the Nation. The anticipation in the air was electric and full of
excited chatter of girls who had been preparing for months for this one day... actually for these two
minutes.
We were a pom and hip hop team. Because this was Noblesville s first year competing, opposing
teams arrived with low expectations for us, and they also showed a polite disregard for our team. I was
to dance that day, but only once. I understood the privilege, for I was a freshman on a varsity team.

Black Males Able To Vote Essay
Ever since the first African Americans came to Jamestown in 1619, getting along has never been easy.
Even though there was 200 years of slavery until the prevail of the civil war and the abolition of
slavery, most people forget that some African Americans were free during that time, but how free were
they? Free African Americans in the Northern states were free, but had no rights based on the voting
chart, Charles Mackay s excerpt, and Charles Andrews excerpt. Out of the three regions in the North,
black males could only vote in one of them. Mackay recognizes their freedom , but denies African
Americans of their rights. Finally, Andrews who was the top of his class explains how there s no place
for his talent. Free African Americans may have had freedom, but not the freedom that white males
had, and certainly not the rights they needed to fully function in society. In the voting chart, it shows if
black males could vote or do jury duty in each state in the North in 1860. The data it shows says that
in the Mid Atlantic and Midwest, most black males were either not permitted or were restricted to
vote. Only in New England could black male suffrage have any chance, even if it s only a little. Even
when being free, black males could only vote in five states, and do jury duty in one. They might have

The Attacks on September 11th 2001
September 11th of 2001 is a day in history that will be remembered forever. What was first thought to
be a freak accident turned into a horrific nightmare for our country, America was under attack. On the
morning of the attacks a group of al Qaeda terrorists took control of four commercial jetliners headed
to California and purposively crashed two into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. The last
plane fell into a Pennsylvania field never reaching its final destination, The White House. These

Nearly thirty minutes after the terrorists launched their take over, the passengers charged the cockpit
door. The hijackers attempted knocking the passengers off balance by pitching the nose of the airplane
up and down. The passengers did not give up; they continued their assault until the hijacker knew they
were about to break through. The flight was going over Shanksville, Pennsylvania and the pilot
decided to aim the airplane going 580 miles per hour into an abandoned field only about twenty
minutes from its original target, Washington, D.C. where they planned on attacking the White House
(CNN). After the attack all that was left was death and wreckage. Shortly after the demolition many
engineers, contractors, ironworkers and rescue workers went to help the police and firefighters with
volunteer work to help the victims. All of these people were very concerned with recovering any
survivors that were trapped within the soldering wreckage. Large pieces of iron that fell from the
wreckage needed to be moved from the scene and required larger machines to do so. Over 108
thousand trucks were used to transport materials to multiple facilities so that the wreckage can be
investigated to help decipher human remains and physical evidence of the hijackers and their planes.

Battle of Belleau Wood and General James Guthrie Harbord CPT Edwin Romero MP CCC 01 16

praised and criticized. After the battle, the French Prime Minister Georges Clemenceau admitted that
if it was not for the Americans, Paris would have been taken over by the Germans. On the other hand,
the Third Army Commander Major General (MG) Joseph T. Dickman described the battle as a

Corps Commander, BG Jean Marie J. Degoutte. Nevertheless, BG Harbord s intent and vision was
clear, he wanted to have offensive maneuvers in order to fight against the counterattacks from the
Germans. He foresaw that the Germans would come through the woods as it provided concealment
and able to move large group of troops. The German infantry was already on the offensive in Belleau
Wood when the 4th BDE were given orders to take Hill 142. Through BG Harbord s vision, the 1/5
took the hill but had many losses. The next day, Harbord had the 2/6 enter the woods and take the
village of Bouresches, which was achieved with the unit losing 50 percent of its men. At this point
Harbord realized that he had to change his tactics in order to reduce the loss of men and penetrate in

was able to change his tactics that started as a defense counterattack into offensive attacks. The
Marines kept moving and attacking the German infantry until 26 June 1918. Because of BG Harbord s

Sexual Assault On College Campuses Essay
Sexual Assault on College Campuses
Many college students, both men and women, experience some form of sexual assault while living on
the campus due to the lack of safety taught and provided to the students. Therefore, colleges
nationwide should provide the necessities that help students reduce their chances of being a victim of
sexual assault or aid them with assistance if assaulted. Sexual assault is a commonly ignored, but
frequent issue on many college campuses. The victims can suffer when the physical and verbal threats
are made and, often exacerbated using drugs and alcohol. However, sexual assault does not always
have to come in such a personal form. Acts such as stalking the individual while they are in a private

The different theories of the causes appear to be controversial among the society. For example, some
can be of prejudicial, stereotypical, or false beliefs about sexual violence (Burt 227). Common quotes
such as she was asking for it by wearing that short skirt or boys will be boys tend to make the situation
lessen in value. Among the variety of reasons that lead to an assault is the date rape drug . The Date
Rape drug is a very popular drug on college campuses that can put the victim in a vulnerable state. It
is used as an easy way to manipulate the victims due to the excessive amount of experimenting with
alcohol that may occur. To help lessen these chances, young adults should be educated about the risk
that can come with participating in certain activities. College campuses should also act to help prevent
assaults and assist those victims. Colleges should provide and staff centers and resources that students
may report to when they are in a situation like this. One resource that colleges may overlook is a rape
whistle. While counterarguments may claim that students could take advantage and not be mature
while having one in their possession, it is an effective way to help a student while in a bad situation.

Essay On Social Darwinism
Industrialism is one of those of concept that has its good and bad contributions to this nation that
people created and developed over time to survive. I believe if we are going to talk about
industrialization, we need to connect the concept to Social Darwinism. In A People and A Nation,
Norton and authors define Social Darwinism by Charles Darwin s theory of survival of the fittest to
the free market system, arguing that competition would weed out weaker firms and allow stronger
fitter firms to thrive (466). If we look by human development, we can see that humans feed off of
progress and to create survival following the wars and great depression. Especially in the technology
game, technology of this time brought people telephones, electric ... Show more content on

However, with all the new jobs, and new inventions, there are women and men being over worked and
underpaid. Because we have to remember even though there was much talent creating change, the end
result as Charles Darwin put is survival to the fittest owners of these new company need manpower
but wanted big profit. Organizations were created to help workers receive what they deserve such as
Knights of Labor, American Federation of Labor (AFL), and Industrial Workers of the World (IWW)
(472 473). The Knights of Labor and the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) tried to organized list
of people that welcomes unskilled and semiskilled workers including women, African Americans and
immigrants (472 472). The Knight of Loabor hit a spiral downward of participates due to their militant
approached to their strike against Pacific Railroad where owner, Jay Gould would not negotiate (472).
The American Federation of Labor (AFL), led by Samuel Gompers fought for higher wages, shorter
hours, and the right to bargain collectively (473). They tried to stay away from politics, and felt that a

Summary Of Planned Parenthood Vs Casey Case
When laws or executive orders defy the Constitution, the Supreme Court is responsible for deciding
between competing American values.. The Court ensures the basic rights of its citizens are protected
and defines civil liberties. In 1992, Planned Parenthood v. Casey addressed the issues concerning
abortion because of the Pennsylvania Abortion Control Act of 1982. This ruling was important to the
nation because individual liberty was being denied to women. The values that were in conflict in
Casey was the basic liberty for women to control reproduction and the protection of unborn babies.
When a woman sought an abortion, she was denied her individual right to decide over her body and
was required to get permission to have an abortion if she was ... Show more content on

As a consequence, the ruling set the path toward new restrictive abortion laws that can completely
block having an abortion. In Whole Woman s Health v. Hellerstedt (2016), the Court recognized an
undue burden was placed when Texas placed restrictions on the delivery of abortion providers. Justice
Ginsburg, concurring with the majority states, When a State severely limits access to safe and legal
procedures, women in desperate circumstances... , faute de mieux, at great risk to their health and
safety ( Whole Woman s Health v. Hellerstedt Cornell 10). Having limited options to an abortion will
lead women to another alternative that consists of an unsafe abortion. While this ruling upheld women
s right to a safe and legal abortion, States still have the opportunity to intervene and persuade women
to not get an abortion as seen in Hellerstedt. Through the rulings made in Roe, Casey, and Hellerstedt,
society has slowly progressed in accepting women have the basic liberty to control reproduction.
Some individuals have learned to put aside their religious and moral beliefs when it comes to making
a decision that will affect women. Overall, the United States still remains at conflict over the
controversial subject of abortion. We as a nation have learned women have the basic liberty to decide
over their body and terminate a pregnancy,

realism movement helped influence photography. It will do this by going in to detail what Realism is,
how 19th century photography worked, and how they are similar and different. This will be show

The artist of this painting, Gustave Courbet, was one of the first artist to call himself a Realist (1819
1877). This painting is a picture of a young man and an old man crushing rocks to produce the gravel
used for the roadbeds. These stonebreakers represent the disenfranchised lower class on whose backs
the modern life was being built upon. The young man in the painting is struggling to move the large
basket of rocks to the side of the road. He is wearing a ripped shirt and pants, but his working boots
are more modern. The older gentleman, is knelt down, tired from the work. He is breaking the rocks,
while wearing the outfit of a lower class man. What the older man was wearing is the more traditional
style of a peasant with his wooden shoes. The younger man is almost representing a grim of the future,
while the older man shows a more out of date, or the rural past. Courbet said when talking about his
inspiration for this painting is that One side is a an old man seventy... On the other side is a young
fellow... In labor such as this, one s life begins that way, and it ends the same way. (Stokstad 973)
Courbet does a great job of signifying the brutality of the modern life with his choices of dull, and
dark colors, as well as a more rough painting patters, he uses awkward poses and stilted composition.
The painting seem realistically gloomy and

door. We waited about an hour till we were allowed to board. As we sat down in our seats, I spotted
many cheerleaders from different gyms crowding the airplane. It made me realize what I was walking

Dr. Cleamon Moorer Guides Me Through An Intimate Journey
Failure is perhaps one of the most influential things in people s lives because it can alter the course of
our actions, by teaching us persistence or leading us the opposite way. Through his book, Dr. Cleamon
Moorer guides me through an intimate journey about his progression from failure to promise.
Cleamon is from a small town of Detroit with parents, who love him and enforce discipline, but most
importantly, they nurture his faith in Jesus Christ. He excels in academics during both elementary and
middle school; however, his mischievousness throughout those years earns him many disciplinary
sessions. In high school, misbehavior becomes history, yet, his GPA suffers in the low C s. But with
his father s tough discipline and his own effort and faith in God, he later receives nomination for the
National Honor s Society. As his college experience begins, Cleamon Moorer attends GMI with
enthusiasm and works along many of his classmates at GM, but when the courses become more
difficult after each semester, his grades fall below the required minimum; hence, he becomes a flunk
out . Yet, he does not abandon his education; he does not surrender to the failure; in fact, he learns
from it. Then, with years of tenacity, patience, and faith, he ultimately becomes a professor at the same
university at which he had failed.
Throughout his book, From Failure to Promise 360 Degrees, Dr. Cleamon Moorer shares more than
twenty years of his life with the public. He stresses the importance of

Cobain And Nirvana
Kurt Cobain and Nirvana Nirvana was a band started by Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic in the early
90 s. They d released several albums before April 5, 1994, when Kurt Cobain supposedly took his own
life. Nirvana was very popular during its time, but of course, Kurt had a life before he met Krist and
before Nirvana was born. There was also a lot the band had done together before the date of April 5,
when Nirvana had to end. Kurt Cobain did a lot before he started Nirvana. As a child, Kurt Cobain
loved art and music. He showed talent in both areas. He taught himself to play piano and he played
guitar, also little league baseball. (Kurt Cobain biography.com) Also said by Rolling Stone, He came
from a musical family. . . At four, Cobain began singing and playing piano, and gravitated to the music
of bands ranging from the Beatles to the Ramones. When Kurt was fourteen, he got his first guitar and
learned to play. He dropped out of high school his senior year due to bullying, and then he started
hanging around local band rehearsals.

Nirvana was ended on April 5, 1994, when Kurt Cobain allegedly took his own life. On April 8,
Cobain s body was found with a gunshot wound in his head. Not everybody believes it was suicide
though, some believe Courtney Love, his own wife, hired someone to kill him for her, and made it
look as if it were a suicide. Although it does not matter now. Unfortunately Nirvana is no longer a
band and there is no way to undo that, but the former members of Nirvana went on and continued
making music, it was Nirvana s passion. Thankfully, Cobain s music is still remembered and loved,
and it will be remembered and loved from the time it was number one. Kurt Cobain left a his legacy
behind, and he left a massive handprint on his era of music. An era of music never to be

Plasma Spray Coatinging Case Study
 Distances between nozzle of the plasma spray gun and surface has to 100mm to 150mm.
G. The importance of the study
By the end of the proposed project work we can achieve the market demand for the cheap and efficient
feedstock material for plasma spray coating. Because fly ash mechanical properties will boost both
mechanical and thermal substrate properties. And also improve the durability of the metallic substrate
due to improved wear resistances of the substrate. Cost of the feedstock material can be drastically
reduced with the same mechanical and thermal properties provide by standard feedstock materials.
Parallel to use of fly ash material it will help to slow down the use of the non renewable assets. This
will also give a new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And also flexible to resolve complicated designs by using high density inert gases to attain high
particle velocity which gains high bond strength. Even with superior advantages it has drawbacks,
mainly the cost factor because feedstock materials are very expensive due pre processing for the finest
outcome. So we got to be using industrial waste fly ash material to 90% cost free feedstock material.
By the investigation of fly ash composition and micro structure it shows terrific mechanical properties
and good wear resistances due contain of oxides which can be utilised as proactive ceramic coating
material and has low thermal conductivity (Satapathy et al, 2009). No pre processing is needed
because of its microstructure has spherical shape that makes the flow ability easy. Most importantly it
s very inexpensive when compared other feedstock materials used in other thermal spray coating.
Because of its exceptional benefits many sectors such as automotive, construction, other
manufacturing fields. As our concerned area is surface engineering we goon improve the hardness of
the substrate by coating ceramic material on the ductile materials.

Theme Of The Wooing Of Ariadne
Don t miss out on something that could be amazing, just because it could also be difficult . This quote
is very prominent in this story, by telling the story of a guy fighting for a girl s heart. Harry Petrakis
explained very important themes in The Wooing of Ariadne . These themes are very deep with love
thought out the story, such as how men are animals, always tell the truth , and persistence can pay off.
The first theme is men are animals when they are obsessed with love. Men sometimes do not stop until
they get what they want and this is very true in this story. A lot of times in this story men are referred
to as animals, because of our nature of how a man acts. Most times it is not good to be referred to as
an animal, but marko does not listen and keeps acting like one. Ariadne explains to Marko what she is
thinking, It could be your appearance, which bears considerable resemblance to a gorilla, or your
manner, suggest closer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Persistence pays off when people get what they are fighting for. Marko never once stop fighting his
love for Ariadne. Even when all odds were against him, he kept fighting. Marko talking to himself, I
ignored them all. In that winged and zestful moment I had eyes only for my beloved, for Ariadne,
blossom of my heart and black eyed flower of my soul (6). When everyone was telling him to leave
Ariadne alone, he knew he could not of done this and he kept fighting for her love and in the end it
pays off. In the end of his fight for Ariadne s love and when he was about to leave and end the fight he
heard Ariadne say something that made him one happy man. Ariadne yelling to Marko, You may call
me tomorrow (6). When Marko heard this was so happy that his hard work the love of ariadne finally
paid off and he can hang out with her. Finally this last theme about Persistence tells about how people
should never if they really love something and that is what Marko did, never gave

Relationship Between British And Native Americans
The seventeenth century was a prime era for early America, with many historic happenings. From the
first British settlers invading on pre claimed Native American land to continual friction between the
two, the relationship between the two groups was unstable and dangerous. The Native Americans
originally considered trying to become allies with the English, but as time went on, a war would
emerge between Natives and the English settlers as to control the land. The English and Native
American relationship changed drastically due to two main factors: English seeking religious freedom
and economic prosperity. First, English seeking religious freedom caused a shift in the English/Native
initial relationship, like the pilgrims did a whole century before. The English wanted to incorporate
their Christian relationship into the Natives religion, as said in Document 1. Be it enacted by this
present assembly that for laying a surer foundation of the conversion of the Indians to Christian
religion, each town, city, borough, and particularly plantation... The English wanted to put a vital part
of their everyday life into the lives of the Natives living and thriving around them. Another source,
Source 3, was Matthaes Merian, An Indian Massacre of 1622, which was initiated by religion. In
1622, it was apparent to the Indians that the colonists intended to expand their holdings in Virginia.
The Indians felt threatened by this physical expansion, but were even more concerned about the

  • 3. Introduction Of Sudden Cardiac Death Introduction Sudden cardiac death (SCD) is the leading cause of death in exercising young athletes. 1 Current estimates of the incidence of SCD in athletes range from almost one in a million to 1:23,000 athletes per year, while some subpopulations of athletes are reported at even higher risk with an incidence of 1 in 3,000. 2 Such deaths often receive more attention because of the youth of the victims and the perception that physically trained athletes are healthy. 3 SCD is often a result of structural cardiac abnormalities that can be detected through the use of pre participation physicals. 1 Pre participation cardiovascular screening is the systematic practice of medically evaluating large, general populations of athletes before participation to eliminate risk of SCD. 3 The National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) requires BOC (Board of Certification) certified athletic trainers to be educated, trained, and evaluated in six major practice domains. 4 Prevention and clinical evaluation are two of the six domains. The American Heart Association suggests that pre screening athletes can improve the detection of cardiac abnormalities. 5 Athletic Trainers are increasingly required to be the health care professionals administering pre participation physicals. Athletic trainers need to have clinical competence such as knowledge and skill, and confidence in performing cardiac auscultations to effectively detect cardiac abnormalities in athletes. • 4. Personal Narrative-My First President Bill Clinton I found myself in bar in downtown alexandria, the day before president elect donald trump would be sworn into office as the 45th president of the united states. I was enjoying a beer when conversation between a stranger and myself manifested in the way that conversations at bars do spontaneously. His name was john and surprisingly he attended jmu just a few years ago. We made small talk and relished in what a coincidence it was to have met each other. It wasn t long before the conversation turned political, not a surprise for the dc metro area and especially with the election just a day away. I liked john, he seemed like a nice guy, however i found myself in strong disagreement with his political beliefs. I m liberal and john was an avid trump ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I waded through the crowds, and struck up conversations with anyone willing. One gentleman stated that trump would be the only president that wasn t a politician, forgetting Reagan, Eisenhower, Grant, and of course George Washington, just to name a few. A group of protesters, held up signs that read resist and called trump a fascist, but when questioned on the definition of fascism, didn t know it; alas the ignorance is nonpartisan. Protesters were heard chanting blocks away during Trump s speech, although faint. Quickly after i made my way to the protests, not necessarily to take part, but to witness just as i witnessed the inauguration. At mcpherson square in dc there was quite a large gathering, and michael moore gave a speech to inspire us into action. As i walked around taking the experience in, i noticed a couple young trump supporters with their red hats on, being surrounded by a group of protesters dressed in all black. Things turned violent, with water bottles being thrown, then rocks, and eventually one was kicked to the ground. I helped him up, and escorted him away from the hostile protesters but just as we were clear, a masked man hit him with a stick from a nearby tree. My initial instinct was to go after him, and i lunged, however i second guessed myself and attended to the fallen trump supporter until the medic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Our Journey through the City of Paris at Night Paris is a beautiful city during the day, but at night, it changes. The first thing that is seen are all the lights from the shops, buildings and streetlights. These lights brighten up Paris and give it a different but just as beautiful perspective at night. The Eiffel Tower, one of the top attractions in Paris that tourists come to see can be described as an iron, lace work of art, and the most recognized structure in the world, and at night with the glow of its lights, it stands out like a guiding lighthouse. We could see this beautiful tower wherever we stood day or night. My choir group was invited to sing in some of the cathedrals in Paris. One night after we had a concert and had dinner, our tour guide gave us an option of either staying on the bus or getting off and taking a tour down the Seine River to see the Eiffel Tower at night. If we should choose this option, we needed to find a different way back to the hotel as the bus driver was not going to come back for us. My family and a few others chose to take the tour down the river. On the boat, we could see different buildings, museums and the Eiffel Tower. On the tour, we also passed under the famous bridges in Paris. Two of the buildings I remember viewing were the Louvre, and Norte Dame. From the boat, I could also see the Louvre pyramid which sits in the courtyard of the Louvre Palace. The Louvre Pyramid is a large glass and metal pyramid, surrounded by three smaller pyramids. • 6. Salisbury Sage Diner s Character Analysis I had just turned ten when my mom first took me to the Salisbury Chess Club. The dilapidated Sage Diner dressed as if it were in the 50s (Absolute), I was immediately enamored by the chess pieces. Soon, I established a reputation for myself as a capricious, impatient tactician able to beat all but the most experienced players. I played with one of the better players, Phil (Appositive), almost every week. Through those games, I learned many values, like patience and carefulness, that not only apply to chess but also to life. One late Autumn Wednesday night, after my mom and I had just settled in the Sage Diner (Preposition), I noticed that there were only a few players. Two of them had already began a game, so I asked Phil for a chess game. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. U.s. Foreign Policy During The Middle East For over the last two decades the Middle East has gradually gathered attention and has come to the forefront of U.S. foreign policy. The focus on this region began primarily after the attacks on the two World Trade Center s in New York City on September 11th, 2001. Iraq was the initial target in the response to the devastating tragedy. This response involved an indefinite occupation with the intention of eliminating weapons of mass destruction , with intelligence under the Bush Administration allegedly confirming their existence. As this undeclared war on Iraq took place, U.S. foreign policy was initiated. It consisted of bringing down an authoritarian regime and establishing democracy within the state of Iraq, along with decimating any potential threats to the U.S. homeland. The major threat lying with terrorist organizations in the region such as Al Qaeda, who were to blame for the 9/11 attacks on U.S. soil. Eventually the deployment of troops into Iraq was left without any particular cause, due to the revelation that Saddam Hussein s regime had no possession of any nuclear weapons. And as U.S. troops struggled to figure out exactly what they were fighting for, an insurgency began to emerge. Is the U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East the cause of insurgency in the region along with the eventual formation of militant groups such as ISIS? • 9. The Nazi Regime Enjoyed Broad Consent Brought About by... As in any country, the support of the working classes was essential for Hitler to maintain the power he had over Germany. Hitler s use of Strength through Joy holidays is the discussed topic in the given sources. Whilst all sources show different opinions on this topic, they all agree that, to a certain extent, that Hitler s use of popular policies was instrumental in his enormous support base. Despite all sources coming from accredited historians it must also be considered that there will always be an element of bias in people s work, and their opinions should not be taken as fact. Source Y, written by Hans Dieter Schafer, suggests that Hitler played on state paternalism, by vastly improving working conditions; sourcing cheap cars ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Without a designated union to fight for them, working classes could not bargain for higher wages or shorter hours. Fest does not pretend that this was for the benefit of the people and suggest that this sort of contempt for the working classes was typical of Hitler. The source highlights the considerable deprivation of political rights which is a key theme within this question, the overall feeling from source z is that the system which Hitler installed was not successful, however, it can be strongly argued that is was, as seen in source y, his manipulation of the lower classes provided Hitler with what can only be described as a mass following. Both source y and z suggest that Hitler understood workers mentality; in contrast source aa suggests that the regime believed Strength through Joy could have an ideological impact. What this source, written by Richard Evans, shows is that the workers had no understanding, nor did they care for politics, which is a strong contradiction to the theme in source z. It is suggested that the working classes just saw the holidays as an escape from everyday life. However, where this source is lacking is its lack of content over the cultural aspects of the holidays. It states that they were appreciated , but is not conclusive as to whether the workers were won over by Nazism via the programme. The general consensus as the end of this source is reached is that the programme was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. The Afterlife And August Sky The characters in both stories experience important, but hard to deal with rites of passages. For example, we see in October Sky how O dell has to deal with his abusive step dad. In The Afterlife we read how Robert all his life has had to deal with not having a home to live in because his parents left him. These are all important because they can affect the characters later on in there life. Making them act or think a certain way about the type of situations they are going through or went through. The purpose of this essay is to explain the similarities and differences between two texts. The two texts, The Afterlife and October Sky, are similar in some ways, but very different in other ways. To begin with, one similarity I could find between these two texts was how in both stories there is a character that has to deal with not having a home for themselves due to their parents leaving them. In October Sky we see how Homer finds were Quentin lives to get help from him to be able to solve some math equations to prove his innocence. They work together to solve these equations and then after they are finished they step outside. Quentin asks Homer to not tell the rest of the rocket boys that he lives in a governor s mansion. We see here that he is going through a family Issue in this case more specifically being abandoned by his parents. In The Afterlife we see the same exact rite of passage. In this case Robert is the character dealing with being abandoned ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. The Power Of The Bourgeoisie In reaction to the power the bourgeoisie have over the proletariat, the narrator uses her defense mechanism of acting out to get power over herself back. Acting out involves preforming external actions that mirror how one is internally feeling. This can be seen when the narrator breaks a rule in the manual, and seeks affection from her window friend in the male shelter. As she states, Tonight, his light isn t on and so we don t wave, but still, I undress in front of my lit window. I can t know if he s watching from the darkness, or who else is watching, for that matter (Cook 50). By undressing in the window, the narrator is showing the bourgeoisie that she is in control of her actions. Moreover, by changing her physical appearance, the narrator gains more control over her body. As she states, For a couple of weeks I allow myself a little moment. I scrape other woman s leftovers onto my plate. I eat the treats my old floor still sends, even though I don t like them (Cook 53). By increasing her food consumption, the narrator is making her self less desirable in the bourgeois lens; consequently limiting her chances of getting chosen by a wealthy person. Since she is in control of her desirability, this shows the narrators success in gaining power over her body and where she chooses to belong. Ultimately, through her defense mechanism of acting out, the narrator gains power over her actions and body back from the bourgeoisie. Furthermore, the narrator uses her defense ... Jackie insisted her husband s casket was carried don the same carriage that had carried the casket of Abraham Lincoln. Behind the carriage walked Jackie, a model of self control and dignity. She brought great self possession and sadness to the affair as she stood at the graveside, like a marble statue with a dark veil and two children holding her hands. In his ethnography, Yanomamo, he describes all of the events of his stay in the Venezuelan jungle. He describes the hideous appearance of the Yanomamo men when first meeting them, and their never ending demands for Chagnon s foreign goods, including his food. There are many issues that arise when considering Chagnon s Yanomamo study. He even increased the reward given to villagers who were willing to give genealogical information and therefore created a rapid craze of helping villagers. This way, they were competing to give him information for their eventual rewards, not plotting against him. It took him months to compile his accurate collection of genealogical data, and even after gathering most of it, he still needed his friend, Rerebawa, to double check most of it for him. He even went so far as to seek out other villages who had bad relations with Bisaasi teri to break the name taboo and give away names. Chagnon felt that the most important aspect of his research in Bisaasi teri was to collect genealogical information and organize the marriages and relations between the villagers. This turned out to be his most difficult task, but nonetheless the most useful. He tells in the very beginning of the ethnography that the Yanomamo are considered a very primitive societal organization of human beings. The most obvious sign of primitive human life is simply the way the dress. In addition, their fickle nature, lack of industry, methods of hunting and gathering, and political organization, contribute to their primitive nature. As proved by anthropologists, primitive human life is essentially based on genealogy, marriage practices, kinship, settlement arrangements and political affairs. It was through ... • 16. IHSDA Dance Hard Work Pays Off Our coaches had told us since the beginning that the months and months we would spend preparing for one particular day would all be worth it in the end. Taking place at New Castle Fieldhouse in early March 2015, I competed in the IHSDTA Dance team competition with my fellow teammates and members of the NHS dance team. We walked into the vast, expansive Fieldhouse knowing that it was the largest High School Fieldhouse in the Nation. The anticipation in the air was electric and full of excited chatter of girls who had been preparing for months for this one day... actually for these two minutes. We were a pom and hip hop team. Because this was Noblesville s first year competing, opposing teams arrived with low expectations for us, and they also showed a polite disregard for our team. I was to dance that day, but only once. Even though there was 200 years of slavery until the prevail of the civil war and the abolition of slavery, most people forget that some African Americans were free during that time, but how free were they? Free African Americans in the Northern states were free, but had no rights based on the voting chart, Charles Mackay s excerpt, and Charles Andrews excerpt. Out of the three regions in the North, black males could only vote in one of them. Mackay recognizes their freedom , but denies African Americans of their rights. Finally, Andrews who was the top of his class explains how there s no place for his talent. Free African Americans may have had freedom, but not the freedom that white males had, and certainly not the rights they needed to fully function in society. In the voting chart, it shows if black males could vote or do jury duty in each state in the North in 1860. The data it shows says that in the Mid Atlantic and Midwest, most black males were either not permitted or were restricted to vote. Only in New England could black male suffrage have any chance, even if it s only a little. Even when being free, black males could only vote in five states, and do jury duty in one.
