Modern Warfare
Modern warfare ranges from small to large campaigns with military fundamentals shaping the battlefield.
However, none has a more significant value as the Napoleonic eras. Although France is no longer a dominant
power, its military fundamentals influence the United States (U.S.) military.
The U.S. military employs three Napoleonic era fundamentals of Command and Control (C2), professional
military, and nationalism. These fundamentals shape the U.S. military during peace and war. Maintaining peace
and winning wars are important. To do that, large capable militaries are required with C2 and Napoleon
recognized this. Napoleon task organized the Army into Armies, Corps, Divisions, and Brigades, centralizing
C2.

CMTCs provided the foundation for CAM units deploying to a Full Spectrum of Operations battlefield.
Although conflicts tailor training, training is the number one reason the U.S. Army is successful. Training is not
something we do. It is what we do! A professional military is not successful as a nation of support. France
experienced a revolution, one that brought change from mass politics to mass warfare to Europe. Napoleon
recognized this and benefited from the transition from dynastic to national warfare. The French revolution had
realized the idea for the citizen Soldier, committed to the cause of the people, for which he fought. Napoleon
exploited nationalism on his own troops, rallying them to success. National success depends on every citizen.
As the French Army mobilized, its citizens did, too. Young men will go to battle; married men will forge arms
and transport supplies; women will make tents, uniforms, and serve in hospitals; children will pick rags; old
men will have themselves carried to public squares to inspire the courage of the warriors, and to preach hatred
of kings and the unity of the Republic. Nationalism brought change to the world, as monarchies were
overthrown and people governments formed. Although the U.S. formed prior to the French Revolution, its
Nationalism has been prevalent for over 200 years. National support defines U.S. military success, as it did for
Napoleon. When conflicts are imminent, the U.S. military mobilizes

Type And Topology Of Lan
Type and topology of LAN
In the early beginnings of a Local Area Network consisted of mainframe computers and terminals. Now
networks consist of front ends which interface with the network, back ends take care of requests by clients,
clients are systems or applications that request services, Servers manage the network and its resources, routers
link the two or more networks together, and switches allow multiple computers on a network interface to
communicate. These are for small locations like an office building.
A Hybrid topology can incorporate multiple topologies to give it other routes to travel. They can use a central
hub or switch using the unshielded twisted pair Ethernet cables for the Star topology. They can have a
backbone network using the Fiber Distributed Data Interface or FDDI.
They can also use the Wireless topology using access points as part of the hybrid topology. This is a great
feature for both employees and customers. The range is up to 100 meters and is fast when needing to access
applications. It uses the 2.4 and 5 GHz band. It is also cheap and cost effective.
LAN cabling
The two types that can be use are the twisted pair and fiber optical cabling. There are two types of twisted pair
cables. They are shielded and unshielded Ethernet cables. They are copper wires being twisted around to
protect from emissions and noise. They are mainly used in an internal network or office because it is cheaper
and easier to install. They use an RJ45 connecter and

Yeast Glycolysis Lab Report
I believe that one factor that contributes to the rate of glucose consumption and respiration in yeast is the
glycemic index of the added sugar or sugar substitute. I have drawn these conclusions based on the data
collected by my classmates and I in addition to my prior knowledge of glycolysis.
During the testing process, some novel treatments were experimented with, including the replacement of sugar
in the experiment with maple syrup, honey, and an artificial sweetener. Because these sugar replacements are
different types of sweeteners, they have a difference in glycemic index. The glycemic index of a food is a
number that represents the number of carbohydrates in a food and how these carbohydrates affects a person
blood glucose level. A higher glycemic index means the food can be metabolized faster. Basically, glycemic
index is a representation of how easily a cell can metabolize the sugar found in a food into glucose. Glucose
can then, in turn, be converted to pyruvate through the process of glycolysis. Pyruvate is then metabolized into
acetaldehyde, and this metabolization gives off a byproduct ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a baseline, the sugar used in the original experiment was basic table sugar, composed mostly of sucrose.
Sucrose has a glycemic index of 68. However, the sugar substitutes have different glycemic indexes. Maple
syrup has a GI of 54, honey has a GI of 50, and the artificial sweetener is mostly comprised of dextrose, which
has a GI of 100. As you can see in the graph, the trend lines show that honey had the lowest amount of
collected CO2, then the maple syrup and sugar are fairly close together, and then that the artificial sweetener
experiment produced much more CO2 than any of the others, and appears to be climbing at a more aggressive
rate. This makes sense, because the artificial sweetener had the highest glycemic index of any of the sugar

What Is The Similarities Between 1984 And V For Vendetta
Coincidentally the name of the gin Winston drinks and cigarette he takes both have the word VICTORY in it.
The gin was named VICTORY GIN and the cigarette was named VICTORY CIGARETTE . The word
VICTORY exemplifies that the government claimed their victory over the city by including the word victory in
every product that was sold. Overwhelming desire to possess it implies that Winston a huge desire to have the
diary as he had never had one before. However, the carried the diary to his house feeling responsible for a
specific wrong doing as the phrase He had carried it guiltily home in his briefcase . That would be punished by

Convincing, cruel and constraint were the governments as both the governments controlled people, depleted all
freedom form the people, had strict laws, compelling propagandas, secret police and fear. Both governments
kept numerous numbers of secrets from the citizens and also there were rebellious characters present that stood
up for their country and rebelled against the government. The antagonist in the book 1984 and the movie V for
vendetta were the government. Both the book and movie are cautionary tales that warns the readers against the
hazards totalitarianism can cause. However there are some differences present between V for Vendetta and
1984. Firstly V for Vendetta receives their freedom much easier and quicker as the people aren t afraid to go
against the government. Whereas in 1984 their freedom takes longer as people are afraid to confront the
government. Secondly, 1984 manifests a sad, sensitive and gloomy future in comparative to V for Vendetta.
Thirdly, V for Vendetta controls people s actions and 1984 controls people s thoughts and emotions. Fourthly,
1984 uses surveillance systems to keep an eye on the people however, V for Vendetta lacks surveillance
systems. Fifthly, V for Vendetta beseeches spirituality in the propagandas where as 1984 uses propagandas in
way in which they feel like they are being watched. Finally both governments have

Water Code Of 1934 Essay
Like the United States early effort with the Rivers and Harbor Act of 1899, Brazil s initial struggle to control
pollution started with the legislative enactment of the water Code of 1934. (Alter, 2012) The Water Code of
1934 was designed to regulate usage, property rights over water, and setting limitations over water use. Before
this landmark legislation, the demands for water use was overseen by the Ministry of Energy s National
Department of Water and Energy. Due to the fact water was a key resource in power generation and electricity
via hydroelectricity, prior to the Water Code of 1934 power companies had a high degree of control over all
aspects that could impact power generation. The Ministry of Energy could provide individual ... Show more

During the early 1960 s and late 1970 s, the management of water and sanitation services underwent several
reorganizations to help gap the shortages in public health needs between the economically sound municipalities
and the growing communities without economic solvency. Two key systems were developed to bridge these
gaps; In 1968 The Sanitary Financing System, was created and in 1971 National Water Supply and Sanitation
Plan (PLANASA) was established. Under PLANASA, investment in infrastructure increased significantly as
water coverage doubled between 1970 to 1990. Furthermore, the access to sanitary sewerage systems doubled
nationally. During this period, the PLANASA and other peripherally related governmental organizations were
investing over $11 billion in water and sanitary sewer systems, with the bulk of the funding going towards
water quality and distribution systems. However, turbulent financial times troubled Brazil during the 1980 s
and led to a governmental reorganization which established the Sanitation Secretariat (SNS) under the Ministry
of Social Welfare (MAS) which manages water resources and infrastructure. (Heller,

The Role Of Women During Post War Period
The Role of Women During the post war period women were getting more opportunities and freedoms within
society, while at the same time getting more limitations. Using one s maternal instinct was a concept that was
heavily stressed during this period and made a big impact on their home life and work life. The Cold War was a
time where women had a lot of responsibilities to both their family but also society. They were the caretakers
and had an incredible amount of work to do in preparation of nuclear warfare. Women had two main roles
during the Cold War, to be a homemaker and to work with civil defence.
Homemaker
The postwar period brought on the societal expectation that the main goal for all women was to find a good
man to marry and to raise children. Many women were brought up with this ideology and accepted this
expectation. However, the Cold War was a time where women were getting more freedoms, like being able to
work a solid job with wages. Although they could do this prior to the post war period, this was a time where
women were able to rise up in certain industries and really try to make a career for themselves. Yet, this
working women image actually was not the accepted representation of women during this period. The Cold
War period looked down upon women working a fulltime job and not at home taking care of the family.
Women were expected to fulfill this role of the dutiful wife who was responsible for cleaning, grocery
shopping, food storage and sending the

Being An American Born Chinese Essay
Being an American born Chinese comes with advantages along with many difficulties to match it. While there
are benefits such as better education than my parents who immigrated from Vietnam and Malaysia, I am
considered a bit of an outcast in the Chinese community. Sure, I identify as Chinese, but am I really Chinese? I
am fortunate enough to have family members who don t let me forget my roots by celebrating Chinese
festivities and eating Chinese food on an almost daily basis. Despite all of this, I sometimes feel as if I m an

In a world where pollution has become an increasing problem, doing our best as residents to use only the
resources that are needed and decreasing pollutants is a way to hopefully slow down the process of global
warming. To do this, some people have been using alternate forms of energy such as wind, solar, and hydro.
The advancements in these forms of energy to make it cheaper for the public to purchase has been a big step in
keeping our world safe for inhabitants. Hangzhou, in particular, is well known for having an efficient public
transportation network consisting of hybrid diesel electric buses, China Railway High speed, and public bike
rentals. Major streets even have dedicated bike lanes as many prefer to ride their bicycles or electric scooters.
These methods lead to fewer cars on the roads, thus improving air quality and reduces greenhouse gases. Being
a place with great knowledge about clean energy science, I believe Hangzhou is a notable place to learn why it
is important for us, as a society, to be aware of environmental protection and expand our knowledge of

Reality And Fiction The True View
Reality and Fiction: the True View 1 Reality and Fiction: the True View Americans rely a great deal on their
entertainment to educate them about life. In many ways Americans live vicariously through the experiences of
fictional characters and believe themselves to learn many things from fictional characters. For example, many
persons have said they learned CPR by watching medical shows on television or believe they can assist in a
medical emergency because they have seen experts on television handle similar situations.
This same belief extends to Americans knowledge about the law and the judicial system of the nation. There
are many things that fictional accounts of lawyers, judges, and courts confuse or create simply to meet the ...

The same kind of good evil scenario between the defense attorney and prosecutor s office is also evident in the
television show Law Order. Although that show does not often portray one side as only good or only bad, there
have been times when it has created defense attorney characters who have taken advantage of the law to force
the system to completely exonerate their clients, which makes them appear to be evil people who are cheating
justice. Reality and Fiction: the True View 3 The reality of attorneys on opposing sides of a case is that they are
seldom easily identified as good or evil persons and just because they are working for the defense or the
prosecution does not indicate the type of person they are (Steinberg). Both are expected to act legally and both
have pressures on them that affect their work and who they are. Simply the side they represent does not alone
affect the kind of person they are. As to how they try their cases, attorney ethical codes require attorneys to
zealously pursue their case for the benefit of their client to the extent the law allows (ABA). This means that if
a defense attorney sees an opportunity for his client to be set free then he or she must use it because that is their
job. It is the job of the prosecutor to assure the defense does not have those opportunities. Again, this does not
reflect on the quality of their character. The same thing can also

The law is supposed to protect people within the United States who suffer from physical, visual, or hearing
impairments just as cognitive disabilities. The ADA act is divided into four titles dealing with aspects of
employment, state and local governments/transportation/public services, public accommodations and
telecommunications (Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Summary of
Key Points , 2014). The first title of the ADA prohibits discriminative practices in the working environment. It
applies to state and local governments, to legislative and judicial branches of the Federal Government, to
employment agencies and labor unions. That means that private employers or others of the above mentioned
entities who have more than 15 employees cannot oppress qualified occupation candidates and workers on the
premise of their handicap. This implies that it is illicit to get some information about an inability amid the
employment interview. The person who applies for a job can decide if he or she wants to talk about an inability
when requesting changes that will help in doing something. This incorporates job restructuring and equipment
modifications. If required, managers must roll out a few improvements to empower the job candidate with an
impairment to perform the crucial elements of the employment (Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Americans
with Disabilities Act (ADA): Summary of Key Points , 2014). Despite everything,

Beach Marine Sediments
Marine Sediments are the particles of organic or inorganic matter that accumulates in a loose, unconsolidated
form. After the continuous raining of sediments, the deep floors have varied from centimeters of thickness per
year. When we think of sediment, we think have erosion of minerals that were once on land, remains of living
organisms, and chemical reactions that associate with the ocean (terrigenous, biogenic, hydrogenous, and
cosmogenic ). This process has helped determine the age of the seafloor and what it may be in the future.

For example, one could find this sand on our near by beaches such as Newport. There are other sand types such
as coral sand, where could primarily be found in the shore of Oahu, Hawaii. White sandy beaches could also
consist of limestone and other types of coral as well. Now in reference to how each of these kinds of beaches
does not have the same sand type, is due to the fact that areas are geologically different. Newport beach is
located on the edge of the pacific plate, right along the North American, where we find all types of terrain and
activity. We can assume that we have an average amount of rainfall, wild fires here and there, and all types of
natural sediment that find its way to the ocean. When we compare this to the island of Hawaii, we find that its
approximately located in the middle of the pacific, has more of tropical type weather and has lots of volcanoes.
Now each area of the world varies and ultimately this decides what kind of water temp there will be, what kind
of terrain and what types of sea life it will harbor. This is how many beaches around are different Its not

A Discussion On Ethics And Law Essay
Enron, a Discussion on Ethics and Law
Leadership s Role in Ethical Dilemma
As documented in a promotional video for Enron, Kenneth Lay states: Enron is a company that deals with
everyone with absolute integrity. We play by all the rules. . . We want people to leave a transaction with Enron
thinking they have been dealt with in the highest possible way, as far as integrity and truthfulness and really
doing our business right. (Enron Vision and Values, 1998, 3:32) Whereas this message was intended to affirm
corporate mindset, Lay s business leadership and conflict resolution promoted the contrary. In 1985, Kenneth
Lay founded Enron Corporation to satisfy his personal ambition and insight in the deregulation of energy
markets. As many entrepreneurs do, Lay placed a focus on the success and future of his business on the
financial performance and growth rate. Although short term success can be gained by focusing solely on the
bottom line, long term success can only occur by first meeting the requirements of the law and maintaining
integrity through ethical decision making. As you will see, Lay s leadership focus on the priority of enhancing
the bottom line actually trumped his ability to promote ethical and legal decision making for his organization.
This conflict was the root of the problem that promoted individuals in the organization to make unethical and
unlawful decisions on a business level as well as personal level.

The Debate on Abortion Laws in the United States
There are always a number of heated debates within the United States. These debates area always a hot topic
and very controversial issues. Due to how controversial they are is why they become such largely debated
topics with many people having very different views on the specific topic. For example there is a Democratic
and Republican party in the United States people either stick with one side or the other due to their beliefs and
sometimes can be neutral or on the other party s side for certain topics. Abortion is a very controversial topic as
it always has been all around the country but more specifically in the United States. There are two sides to the
debate those who believe abortion should be legal and their organization is known as prochoice. On the other
side there are the group of people who believe that abortion should not be legal and reverse the laws from what
they are today this organization is known as prolife. It seems as though both of the organizations are very
extreme while there can be some people who a neutral and believe in some ideas from the prochoice yet they
also agree with some of the ideas from prolife. The two sides to the debate on abortion are known as pro choice
and pro life although this topic is very controversial, today there is also a history of abortion laws and a very
important case known as Roe vs. Wade which played a huge role in determining what laws on abortion are in

The narrator s tale uses foreshadowing when describing the fine attire of the grandmother. The grandmother is
dressed in a navy blue dress with a small white dot in the print. Her collars and cuffs were white organdy
trimmed with lace and at her neckline she had pinned a purple spray of cloth violets containing a sachet. (423)
While initially this doesn t tell a reader the full story, when the reader finds the ending to include the
unexpected death of the grandmother, one sees that likely the narrator was likely foreshadowing how at ones
own funeral, one is put together just so. Furthermore, the narrator describes the small cemetery the traveler s
pass that contains 5 or 6 graves, which happens to be the same number of occupants in the vehicle. The reader
is left to interpret that perhaps this convincing use of imagery is used to foreshadow the impeding untimely
deaths of grandmother, Bailey, June Star, John Wesley, the mother, and the baby. Irony is perhaps the most
distinct and powerful literary technique used in A Good Man is Hard to Find. The entire tale revolves around
the battle between what is perceived as good and evil. The narrator asks the reader to see the grandmother as

The Family And Medical Leave Act
Throughout time and history women are perceived as a housewife, mothers, and givers; while men are
breadwinners, fathers, and receivers. Women have strived to change this stereotype for years, and while
sometimes this stereotype disappears for a subtle moment, it always will resurface. Especially, when it comes
to maternity leave. Men and women are given an equal amount of time to care for a newborn, but somehow the
father returns to work in a matter of days. Why is that, you may ask? It is because America has generalized
American into their known stereotype. And because of this, we see men returning to the workforce in a short
amount of time. Men, along with women, should have a paid extension from the Family and Medical Leave Act
to care for their child, create the bonding link between child and parent, while tearing down the stereotypical
assumption wall between man and woman. In the United States, maternity leave is considering under the
Family and Medical Leave Act. The Family and Medical Leave Act was constructed by the U.S. Department of
Labor in 1993. This act states, an eligible employee shall be entitled to a total of 12 workweeks of leave during
any 12 month period for one or more of the following: (A) Because of the birth of a son or daughter of the
employee and in order to care for such son or daughter. (B) Because of the placement of a son or daughter with

A University Degree is a Good Investment Essay
As a recent high school graduate, I spent the last year of high school deciding what I want to do with my life. It
was time to seriously answer the question what do you want to be when you grow up? As a child this question
seems so broad and open. There are a million things to choose from. One day I could ve been a teacher, and the
next day a veterinarian. But one thing you don t hear most kids say they dream about being is a college
graduate. However, when the time comes to plan your life, suddenly the options diminish and you re really left
with only two; college, or a job. For a long period of time, the majority of high school graduates have chosen

Since then thousands of universities have opened and offer many different fields to pursue. From law schools to
technical institutes to community colleges, there are a variety of higher education options. Since the mass
development of universities, it has become more traditional for people of all social statuses to attend college.
Also, since 1636 the number of people going to college has also increased as a higher education has become
more attainable for the average person. However, in recent times the trend of an increasing enrollment has
faded away. This decrease in college registration influences the question of why students have begun to stray
away from college in the last few years.
Mathew Bidwell, a professor at the Wharton University of Pennsylvania has found that About 300,000 fewer
students enrolled in college this fall [2013], compared to 2012 (Bidwell 2). This decline in enrollment is
something to worry about because the future of the United States falls heavy on the shoulders of education. In
2012 Barrack Obama set a goal for the United States: by the year 2020 America will once again have the
highest proportion of college graduates in the world. ( Ensuring 1.) With the aim of achieving this goal, it is
important to stop this decline in college enrollment. In order to understand the decline in college enrollment, it
is important to understand the factors that are repelling future

The Progression of Film
The biggest problem humans have been having since the dawn of time is, how do we entertain ourselves? . One
would assume it began with fire, something that aroused the eyes and entertained the mind.Though fire may
have been the beginning, centuries upon centuries later a much more highly intelligent form of entertainment
revolutionized the world, motion pictures. In the dog eat dog world of entertainment Film reigns alpha dog.
Film has some of the biggest influence on the world around us. It shapes our adolescence, teaching foreign
things to the young developing mind. Cinema has spurred riots, love, and murder. So the question is, whats are

Motion pictures became the leading attractions on the vaudville bill. Owners of vaudeville theaters could
choose the filmt they desired from the Edison inventory and show them in whatever order they pleased. The
Edison Company developed a more efficient projector known as the Projectoscope or Projecting Kinetoscope
in November 1896, and abandoned marketing the Vitascope (About). In the modern world of Film, money rules
all. Critic reviews have little to do with the status of your film, production companies are typically intersted
box office results. In the media, films that gross the highest are considered the best, but some patrons of cinema
disagree. Many cult films such as Napoleon Dynamite or Dazed and Confused did poorly in the boxoffices and
are now considered classics. This is where the politics of a sort come to play in the industry. Many directors
and writers are creating works of art, in which they pour their feelings into, yet the media occasionally portrays
major production companies as only being concerned with financial profit. It can create quite a quarel between
the creators and the companies covering the costs. Due to ticket inflattion and the changing of currency values,
it is difficult to determine what is the highest grossing films through the entire history of motion pictures. Some

Examples Of Free Will In A Midsummer Night s Dream
The theme, fate vs. free will, occurs multiple times in A Midsummer Night s Dream. Fate vs. free will, occurs
in Acts, One, Two, Three, Four, and Five. Shakespeare uses the magic of fairies, or character to influence
situations and people. The fairies take away free will on multiple occasions, which creates conflict or a comical
tone during scenes. Few occurrences of free will take place in A Midsummer Night s Dream. Firstly, Eques will
not allow Hermia to marry Lysander. Hermia loves Lysander, but Eques, her father, disapproves of Lysander.
Next, Puck, a magical fairy, influences multiple characters throughout the play. Characters include, Lysander,
Demetrius, Bottom, and Titania. These characters lose free will and are all influenced ... Show more content on

Puck manipulates Titania and Bottom through magic. Titania loses all free will, while Bottom is changed into a
donkey against his will. For example, And thy fair virtue s force perforce doth move me On the first view to
say, to swear, I love thee (3.1, 140 41, Shakespeare). Titania loves Bottom, who has the head of a donkey,
against her free will. Oberon placed a love potion on Titania s eyes, which resulted in Titania loving Bottom.
Furthermore, Bottom was changed into a donkey by Puck. The lines, I see their knavery: this is to make an ass
of me; to fright me, if they could (3.1, 119 20, Shakespeare), allow the reader to know Bottom has the head of a
donkey. In Scene Two, Hermia, Helena, Lysander, and Demetrius have conflict. In the lines, Now she holds me
not; Now follow, if thou darest, to try whose right, of thine or mine, is most in Helena (3.2, 336 37,
Shakespeare), Lysander begins to argue with Demetrius about Helena. Lysander s loss of free will results in
conflict. In the lines, I will not trust you, I, nor longer stay in your curst company. Your hands than mine are
quicker for a fray, my legs are longer though, to run away (3.2, 341 44, Shakespeare), Helena is attempting to
run away from the situation because Hermia was upset with the situation. Act Three summarizes the conflict.

King Nebuchadnezzar
Nebuchadnezzar isn t only famous from being known from what he achieved, but he was also known from the
bible. His attack on Judah was documented in the bible specifically at Jeremiah 25:9. In the bible,
Nebuchadnezzar is portrayed as a violent, greedy ruler who only wanted to improve his life, but this is false.
He was very violent and aggressive, but he wanted the best for his city and empire.(Jeremiah 25.9)
Nebuchadnezzar would also dream about god speaking to him. He dreamt an image of a sculpture of himself.
He would have a head of gold representing the strongest civilizations at the time which was arguably the one he
and his father built. Next on the sculpture was silver representing the strong cities he beat. Then bronze for the

friends Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego. They were thrown into a boiling furnace when they decided

Comparisons of Different Famous Diets
Jenny Craig Diet: Characteristics The main premise of the Jenny Craig diet is that participants eat prepackaged,
premeasured, and processed meals which are delivered to the participant s home. Counselors are available in
order to assist with long term goals and teach participants to avoid emotional eating. There is some flexibility
in allowing participants to eat out, or to enjoy the occasional snack as well ( health and wellness, 2014).
Pros/advantages and Cons/disadvantages
According to nutritionists who reviewed several top diets, as noted in the US News and World Report, the
Jenny Craig diet is safe, nutritionally balanced, and convenient. Weight loss can be steady and easily obtained,
and therefore may lower the participants ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pros/advantages and Cons/disadvantages
An advantage to the Nutrisystem diet would be steady weight loss and a convenient way to get oneself on
track. In addition, no food is restricted in and of itself. Other foods besides the package system are available for
the participant to enjoy. There are specific concepts for each dieter based on their other types of conditions.
Different tracks for older adults and diabetics are made available ( health and wellness, 2014).
Disadvantages to this diet, as well as diets like Jenny Craig, would be first and foremost the cost that is needed
in order to purchase the food. In addition with the Nutrisystem diet, dining out is not a part of the plan. The diet
is restricted in the fact that your meals are prepared and delivered but there is not an avenue for creativity in
preparing meals, this may make things difficult for a family.
Recommendations
I would only recommend Nutrisystem to a person who needed to lose a considerable amount of weight, and
only if they were willing to spend the money for the guaranteed calorie restriction. Those who are willing to
make a large commitment in the form of money may benefit from having the work of food prep done for them.
However, this is not a long term solution. Nutrisystem does claim that they have made enhancements in their
plan and are continually researching in order to make it healthy and safe for participants ( health and wellness,
2014).

mistake to abuse alcohol. Abusing alcohol can lead to alcohol poisoning which can result death. Alcohol abuse
can also cause someone to have short and long term effects to his brain and body ( Teenage Drinking ). A
person who drinks too much alcohol is more likely to commit violent crimes such as assault, sexual assault,
homicides, or even suicide ( Teenage Drinking ). Teenagers are usually heavy drinkers because they usually
take drinking lightly. Underage persons do not drink as often as adults, but when underage drinkers drink, they
drink a whole lot more at one time ( Teenage Drinking ). When teenagers drink alcohol they tend to binge
drink. Binge drinking is when a teenager consumes too much alcohol in a short amount of time. This usually
means five or six beers in only an hour or two. Binge drinking can cause harmful effects to the teen body, such
as alcohol poisoning which can lead to serious injury or death ( Teenage Drinking ). Abusing alcohol can have
short term as well as long term effects. These effects can be effects to the body or socially. Long term effects

The World Is A Single Gigantic Sphere Of Energy
Utilizing What We Have
The world is a single gigantic sphere of energy. The Earth contains other branches of different types of energy
such as: Kinetic, potential, mechanical, heats, chemical, light, and atomic energy, solar, hydroelectric is
different types of energy sources. When using kinetic energy, you use force which is scientifically defined as a
push or pull on an object.
When work is being done it is considered kinetic energy. For example: When you do a kip on bars, during the
glide you pull your toes to the bar instead of muscling up, once you start to come to front position, you must
push down on the bar, in order to arrive at the bar in front position. These are examples of push and pull force
we use in everyday life. Whether it is opening a door, or pushing a stroller our lives consist of force, and kinetic
energy.
Potential energy is stored energy. When you are standing still you are exercising potential energy, because no
work is being done. If someone was to bump into you, and you would move it would be considered kinetic
energy. However, if you take a picture of person NO.1 standing still, and person NO.2 moving toward them, the
picture would contain both potential energy, and kinetic energy.
Heat energy is primarily observed with friction. All friction contains heat. For example: when a tailpipe on a
car comes unlatched. If you do not know it is loose, over time it becomes looser. Eventually it could start
dragging on the ground while the vehicle is in

Magnesium Reaction
Magnesium reaction with Oxygen under the high temperature
Introduction
The aim of the experiment is to observe how Magnesium reacts with the Oxygen under the high temperature
and to calculate percentage yield of the product.
Magnesium (solid) + Oxygen (gas) ⟶ Magnesium Oxide (solid)
2Mg (s) + O_2(g) ⟶ 2MgO (s)
Results
Crucible with the lid on was weighted, mass 1 18.43g.
Magnesium inside the crucible with the lid on was weighted, mass 2 19.09g.
Crucible with the lid on, containing Magnesium, was placed on the pipe clay triangle. Bunsen burner was

If 48g of Mg produces 80g of MgO, than 1g of Mg produces: (80.6 g)/(48.6 g) = 1.66g of MgO.
So if started with 0.66g of Mg, this means 0.66g x 1.66g = 1.0956g of MgO should have been received.
(Theoretical yield)
Percentage yield of MgO = (1.01 g)/(1.0956 g) x 100% = 92.18 %
The percentage yield of the product is quite high, this shows that experiment was 92.18% accurate.
This reaction caused a chemical change. When Magnesium reacted with Oxygen new compound was formed
called Magnesium Oxide. Magnesium Oxide was solid, it changed the color to white/grey as well as increased
in weight by 0.35g. Magnesium and Oxygen bonds where broken in order to compose another new compound.
Magnesium being a metal, positively charged, had 2 electrons to give away, and Oxygen being nonmetal,
negatively charged, had 2 spaces for the electrons to join. So the bond between these two elements is ionic
bond, which made Magnesium Oxide really strong compound, because both elements are oppositely charged
ions. This is why it would be really difficult to pull them apart, as well as the melting point is really

Causes Of Death In The Death Of Romeo And Juliet
Frequently labelled as one of the greatest and most tragic, love stories of all time, Romeo and Juliet features
two youths from dueling families whose abrupt, yet robust, love ultimately resulted in their deaths. However, it
was not just their whirlwind romance that led to their demise, but also the actions of many characters who had
tried to aid the two lovers. One such character is the Nurse, who acted as a messenger to arrange Romeo and
Juliet s wedding. Despite the Nurse s interference, which helped fester Romeo and Juliet infatuation for each

By my brotherhood, The letter was not nice but full of charge, Of dear import, and the neglecting it May do
much danger... (Shakespeare 5.2.17 20) Demonstrating how the friar failed to complete the one action that may
have saved both Romeo and Juliet s lives, these lines further prove his guilt as it portrays him complaining to
the inefficient messenger, Friar John, about his negligence. The following lines further cement his guilt as it
states that he had not one but two chances to deliver the letter to Romeo, and yet again disappointed: But I will
write again to Mantua, (Shakespeare 5.2. 27). As briefly explained above, Friar Lawrence was the one who
produced and mobilized the plan which directly led to Romeo and Juliet s suicide. Once Juliet heard the news
of the engagement she fled to the friar s cell, and once again, he informed her of the rapidly formed plan as
follows: Hold, daughter. I do spy a kind of hope, . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Take thou this vial, being

Endangered Species Act What is an endangered species? is a question that needs to be addressed before getting
known of endangered species act. An endangered species is a population of organisms which is at risk of
becoming extinct due to three possible reasons: it is few in numbers. According to the theory of Exponential
Growth Curve proposed by Malthus, a lower population tends to have a lower reproductive rate and thus a
higher risk of going extinct; or a species is threatened by changing environment. A species which fail to adapt a

In the second category, there are three conservation statuses which are critically endangered , endangered and
vulnerable . They differ in the risk of extinction; critically endangered species has the highest risk of extinction,
followed by the remaining two. The third category consists of 3 conservation statuses: conservation dependent ,
near threatened and least concern , which differ from one another in terms of their needs to be included into
conservation programs. By understanding the risk of going extinct of each species according to the Red List,
international organizations and state governments can develop appropriate conservation program corresponding
to each of them. Different graph and statistics about the situation of endangered species in the world have been
collected:
Graph 1(IUCN Red List, 2007) Graph 1 above shows the percentage species in several groups which are list in
the second category: either critically endangered, endangered or vulnerable. As shown in the graph, amphibians
have the relatively largest proportion (around 30%) in second category compared to other animal kingdoms,
followed by mammals (around 20%) and birds (around 12.5%).
Graph 2(Prof. Kiefer, 2010) Graph 2 is different from the first one in that it calculates the number but not the
proportion. Mammals (around 400) have the highest

unavailability of paper, pencils, pens etc. and other expenses. They can provide such stationeries to the
underprivileged students in rural areas.
 The company must come out with cheaply priced toothpastes, tooth brushes, tongue cleaners in order to
provide oral hygiene to the rural sector and launch an awareness program to make them aware about the
necessity of oral care in keeping yourself healthy.
 As done by lifebuoy they can also make the villagers realize the importance of hygiene and using soaps on a
daily basis, in order to stay clean and healthy. Free samples must be provided to the rural and semi urban
people. This free sample distribution will make them use the product of the company and sales will increase.
 Hygiene is an important issue throughout the country, and women s hygiene is something that one needs to
be extra careful about, as women are more prone to diseases such as ovarian cancer, breast cancer

  • 2. Modern Warfare Modern warfare ranges from small to large campaigns with military fundamentals shaping the battlefield. However, none has a more significant value as the Napoleonic eras. Although France is no longer a dominant power, its military fundamentals influence the United States (U.S.) military. The U.S. military employs three Napoleonic era fundamentals of Command and Control (C2), professional military, and nationalism. These fundamentals shape the U.S. military during peace and war. Maintaining peace and winning wars are important. To do that, large capable militaries are required with C2 and Napoleon recognized this. Napoleon task organized the Army into Armies, Corps, Divisions, and Brigades, centralizing C2. Napoleon s Supreme Command ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... CMTCs provided the foundation for CAM units deploying to a Full Spectrum of Operations battlefield. Although conflicts tailor training, training is the number one reason the U.S. Army is successful. Training is not something we do. It is what we do! A professional military is not successful as a nation of support. France experienced a revolution, one that brought change from mass politics to mass warfare to Europe. Napoleon recognized this and benefited from the transition from dynastic to national warfare. The French revolution had realized the idea for the citizen Soldier, committed to the cause of the people, for which he fought. Napoleon exploited nationalism on his own troops, rallying them to success. National success depends on every citizen. As the French Army mobilized, its citizens did, too. Young men will go to battle; married men will forge arms and transport supplies; women will make tents, uniforms, and serve in hospitals; children will pick rags; old men will have themselves carried to public squares to inspire the courage of the warriors, and to preach hatred of kings and the unity of the Republic. Nationalism brought change to the world, as monarchies were overthrown and people governments formed. Although the U.S. formed prior to the French Revolution, its Nationalism has been prevalent for over 200 years. National support defines U.S. military success, as it did for Napoleon. When conflicts are imminent, the U.S. military mobilizes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Type And Topology Of Lan Type and topology of LAN In the early beginnings of a Local Area Network consisted of mainframe computers and terminals. Now networks consist of front ends which interface with the network, back ends take care of requests by clients, clients are systems or applications that request services, Servers manage the network and its resources, routers link the two or more networks together, and switches allow multiple computers on a network interface to communicate. These are for small locations like an office building. A Hybrid topology can incorporate multiple topologies to give it other routes to travel. They can use a central hub or switch using the unshielded twisted pair Ethernet cables for the Star topology. They can have a backbone network using the Fiber Distributed Data Interface or FDDI. They can also use the Wireless topology using access points as part of the hybrid topology. This is a great feature for both employees and customers. The range is up to 100 meters and is fast when needing to access applications. It uses the 2.4 and 5 GHz band. It is also cheap and cost effective. LAN cabling The two types that can be use are the twisted pair and fiber optical cabling. There are two types of twisted pair cables. They are shielded and unshielded Ethernet cables. They are copper wires being twisted around to protect from emissions and noise. They are mainly used in an internal network or office because it is cheaper and easier to install. • 4. Yeast Glycolysis Lab Report I believe that one factor that contributes to the rate of glucose consumption and respiration in yeast is the glycemic index of the added sugar or sugar substitute. I have drawn these conclusions based on the data collected by my classmates and I in addition to my prior knowledge of glycolysis. During the testing process, some novel treatments were experimented with, including the replacement of sugar in the experiment with maple syrup, honey, and an artificial sweetener. Because these sugar replacements are different types of sweeteners, they have a difference in glycemic index. The glycemic index of a food is a number that represents the number of carbohydrates in a food and how these carbohydrates affects a person blood glucose level. A higher glycemic index means the food can be metabolized faster. Basically, glycemic index is a representation of how easily a cell can metabolize the sugar found in a food into glucose. Glucose can then, in turn, be converted to pyruvate through the process of glycolysis. Pyruvate is then metabolized into acetaldehyde, and this metabolization gives off a byproduct ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a baseline, the sugar used in the original experiment was basic table sugar, composed mostly of sucrose. Sucrose has a glycemic index of 68. However, the sugar substitutes have different glycemic indexes. Maple syrup has a GI of 54, honey has a GI of 50, and the artificial sweetener is mostly comprised of dextrose, which has a GI of 100. As you can see in the graph, the trend lines show that honey had the lowest amount of collected CO2, then the maple syrup and sugar are fairly close together, and then that the artificial sweetener experiment produced much more CO2 than any of the others, and appears to be climbing at a more aggressive rate. This makes sense, because the artificial sweetener had the highest glycemic index of any of the sugar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Convincing, cruel and constraint were the governments as both the governments controlled people, depleted all freedom form the people, had strict laws, compelling propagandas, secret police and fear. Both governments kept numerous numbers of secrets from the citizens and also there were rebellious characters present that stood up for their country and rebelled against the government. The antagonist in the book 1984 and the movie V for vendetta were the government. Both the book and movie are cautionary tales that warns the readers against the hazards totalitarianism can cause. However there are some differences present between V for Vendetta and 1984. Firstly V for Vendetta receives their freedom much easier and quicker as the people aren t afraid to go against the government. Whereas in 1984 their freedom takes longer as people are afraid to confront the government. Secondly, 1984 manifests a sad, sensitive and gloomy future in comparative to V for Vendetta. Thirdly, V for Vendetta controls people s actions and 1984 controls people s thoughts and emotions. Fourthly, 1984 uses surveillance systems to keep an eye on the people however, V for Vendetta lacks surveillance systems. Fifthly, V for Vendetta beseeches spirituality in the propagandas where as 1984 uses propagandas in way in which they feel like they are being watched. Finally both governments have ... Water Code Of 1934 Essay Like the United States early effort with the Rivers and Harbor Act of 1899, Brazil s initial struggle to control pollution started with the legislative enactment of the water Code of 1934. (Alter, 2012) The Water Code of 1934 was designed to regulate usage, property rights over water, and setting limitations over water use. Before this landmark legislation, the demands for water use was overseen by the Ministry of Energy s National Department of Water and Energy. Due to the fact water was a key resource in power generation and electricity via hydroelectricity, prior to the Water Code of 1934 power companies had a high degree of control over all aspects that could impact power generation. During the early 1960 s and late 1970 s, the management of water and sanitation services underwent several reorganizations to help gap the shortages in public health needs between the economically sound municipalities and the growing communities without economic solvency. Two key systems were developed to bridge these gaps; In 1968 The Sanitary Financing System, was created and in 1971 National Water Supply and Sanitation Plan (PLANASA) was established. Under PLANASA, investment in infrastructure increased significantly as water coverage doubled between 1970 to 1990. Furthermore, the access to sanitary sewerage systems doubled nationally. During this period, the PLANASA and other peripherally related governmental organizations were investing over $11 billion in water and sanitary sewer systems, with the bulk of the funding going towards water quality and distribution systems. However, turbulent financial times troubled Brazil during the 1980 s and led to a governmental reorganization which established the Sanitation Secretariat (SNS) under the Ministry of Social Welfare (MAS) which manages water resources and infrastructure. • 8. The Role Of Women During Post War Period The Role of Women During the post war period women were getting more opportunities and freedoms within society, while at the same time getting more limitations. Using one s maternal instinct was a concept that was heavily stressed during this period and made a big impact on their home life and work life. The Cold War was a time where women had a lot of responsibilities to both their family but also society. They were the caretakers and had an incredible amount of work to do in preparation of nuclear warfare. Women had two main roles during the Cold War, to be a homemaker and to work with civil defence. Homemaker The postwar period brought on the societal expectation that the main goal for all women was to find a good man to marry and to raise children. Many women were brought up with this ideology and accepted this expectation. However, the Cold War was a time where women were getting more freedoms, like being able to work a solid job with wages. Although they could do this prior to the post war period, this was a time where women were able to rise up in certain industries and really try to make a career for themselves. Yet, this working women image actually was not the accepted representation of women during this period. While there are benefits such as better education than my parents who immigrated from Vietnam and Malaysia, I am considered a bit of an outcast in the Chinese community. Sure, I identify as Chinese, but am I really Chinese? I am fortunate enough to have family members who don t let me forget my roots by celebrating Chinese festivities and eating Chinese food on an almost daily basis. Despite all of this, I sometimes feel as if I m an imposter as I tend to be more American than Chinese. In a world where pollution has become an increasing problem, doing our best as residents to use only the resources that are needed and decreasing pollutants is a way to hopefully slow down the process of global warming. To do this, some people have been using alternate forms of energy such as wind, solar, and hydro. The advancements in these forms of energy to make it cheaper for the public to purchase has been a big step in keeping our world safe for inhabitants. Hangzhou, in particular, is well known for having an efficient public transportation network consisting of hybrid diesel electric buses, China Railway High speed, and public bike rentals. Major streets even have dedicated bike lanes as many prefer to ride their bicycles or electric scooters. These methods lead to fewer cars on the roads, thus improving air quality and reduces greenhouse gases. Although that show does not often portray one side as only good or only bad, there have been times when it has created defense attorney characters who have taken advantage of the law to force the system to completely exonerate their clients, which makes them appear to be evil people who are cheating justice. Reality and Fiction: the True View 3 The reality of attorneys on opposing sides of a case is that they are seldom easily identified as good or evil persons and just because they are working for the defense or the prosecution does not indicate the type of person they are (Steinberg). Both are expected to act legally and both have pressures on them that affect their work and who they are. Simply the side they represent does not alone affect the kind of person they are. As to how they try their cases, attorney ethical codes require attorneys to zealously pursue their case for the benefit of their client to the extent the law allows (ABA). This means that if a defense attorney sees an opportunity for his client to be set free then he or she must use it because that is their job. It is the job of the prosecutor to assure the defense does not have those opportunities. Again, this does not reflect on the quality of their character. The same thing can also ... We want people to leave a transaction with Enron thinking they have been dealt with in the highest possible way, as far as integrity and truthfulness and really doing our business right. (Enron Vision and Values, 1998, 3:32) Whereas this message was intended to affirm corporate mindset, Lay s business leadership and conflict resolution promoted the contrary. In 1985, Kenneth Lay founded Enron Corporation to satisfy his personal ambition and insight in the deregulation of energy markets. As many entrepreneurs do, Lay placed a focus on the success and future of his business on the financial performance and growth rate. Although short term success can be gained by focusing solely on the bottom line, long term success can only occur by first meeting the requirements of the law and maintaining integrity through ethical decision making. As you will see, Lay s leadership focus on the priority of enhancing the bottom line actually trumped his ability to promote ethical and legal decision making for his organization. Men and women are given an equal amount of time to care for a newborn, but somehow the father returns to work in a matter of days. Why is that, you may ask? It is because America has generalized American into their known stereotype. And because of this, we see men returning to the workforce in a short amount of time. • 30. The World Is A Single Gigantic Sphere Of Energy Utilizing What We Have The world is a single gigantic sphere of energy. The Earth contains other branches of different types of energy such as: Kinetic, potential, mechanical, heats, chemical, light, and atomic energy, solar, hydroelectric is different types of energy sources. When using kinetic energy, you use force which is scientifically defined as a push or pull on an object. When work is being done it is considered kinetic energy. For example: When you do a kip on bars, during the glide you pull your toes to the bar instead of muscling up, once you start to come to front position, you must push down on the bar, in order to arrive at the bar in front position. These are examples of push and pull force we use in everyday life. Whether it is opening a door, or pushing a stroller our lives consist of force, and kinetic energy. Potential energy is stored energy. When you are standing still you are exercising potential energy, because no work is being done. If someone was to bump into you, and you would move it would be considered kinetic energy. However, if you take a picture of person NO.1 standing still, and person NO.2 moving toward them, the picture would contain both potential energy, and kinetic energy. Heat energy is primarily observed with friction. All friction contains heat. For example: when a tailpipe on a car comes unlatched. If you do not know it is loose, over time it becomes looser. Eventually it could start dragging on the ground while the vehicle is in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Magnesium Reaction Magnesium reaction with Oxygen under the high temperature Introduction The aim of the experiment is to observe how Magnesium reacts with the Oxygen under the high temperature and to calculate percentage yield of the product. Magnesium (solid) + Oxygen (gas) ⟶ Magnesium Oxide (solid) 2Mg (s) + O_2(g) ⟶ 2MgO (s) Results Crucible with the lid on was weighted, mass 1 18.43g. Magnesium inside the crucible with the lid on was weighted, mass 2 19.09g. Crucible with the lid on, containing Magnesium, was placed on the pipe clay triangle. Bunsen burner was lighted with gentle blue flame, later increased to a roaring flame (with the air hole fully opened) to get reaction going. Soon the crucible heated up, the lid was lifted gently ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If 48g of Mg produces 80g of MgO, than 1g of Mg produces: (80.6 g)/(48.6 g) = 1.66g of MgO. So if started with 0.66g of Mg, this means 0.66g x 1.66g = 1.0956g of MgO should have been received. (Theoretical yield) Percentage yield of MgO = (1.01 g)/(1.0956 g) x 100% = 92.18 % The percentage yield of the product is quite high, this shows that experiment was 92.18% accurate. This reaction caused a chemical change. When Magnesium reacted with Oxygen new compound was formed called Magnesium Oxide. Magnesium Oxide was solid, it changed the color to white/grey as well as increased in weight by 0.35g. Magnesium and Oxygen bonds where broken in order to compose another new compound. Magnesium being a metal, positively charged, had 2 electrons to give away, and Oxygen being nonmetal, negatively charged, had 2 spaces for the electrons to join. So the bond between these two elements is ionic bond, which made Magnesium Oxide really strong compound, because both elements are oppositely charged ions. This is why it would be really difficult to pull them apart, as well as the melting point is really ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Causes Of Death In The Death Of Romeo And Juliet Frequently labelled as one of the greatest and most tragic, love stories of all time, Romeo and Juliet features two youths from dueling families whose abrupt, yet robust, love ultimately resulted in their deaths. However, it was not just their whirlwind romance that led to their demise, but also the actions of many characters who had tried to aid the two lovers. One such character is the Nurse, who acted as a messenger to arrange Romeo and Juliet s wedding. Despite the Nurse s interference, which helped fester Romeo and Juliet infatuation for each other, which eventually led them to killing themselves; Friar Lawrence bears the most responsibility for Romeo and Juliet s death because he was the one who married them in the first place, sent ... (Shakespeare 5.2.17 20) Demonstrating how the friar failed to complete the one action that may have saved both Romeo and Juliet s lives, these lines further prove his guilt as it portrays him complaining to the inefficient messenger, Friar John, about his negligence. The following lines further cement his guilt as it states that he had not one but two chances to deliver the letter to Romeo, and yet again disappointed: But I will write again to Mantua, (Shakespeare 5.2. 27). As briefly explained above, Friar Lawrence was the one who produced and mobilized the plan which directly led to Romeo and Juliet s suicide. Once Juliet heard the news of the engagement she fled to the friar s cell, and once again, he informed her of the rapidly formed plan as follows: Hold, daughter. Endangered Species Act Commentary Paper Mo Yi Lam BISC_102 Professor Kiefer Nov 30th, 2010 Final Paper (Summary of Endangered Species Act) Endangered Species Act What is an endangered species? is a question that needs to be addressed before getting known of endangered species act. An endangered species is a population of organisms which is at risk of becoming extinct due to three possible reasons: it is few in numbers. According to the theory of Exponential Growth Curve proposed by Malthus, a lower population tends to have a lower reproductive rate and thus a higher risk of going extinct; or a species is threatened by changing environment. A species which fail to adapt a new environment by means such as mutation which creates new fitting genes tends to have a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the second category, there are three conservation statuses which are critically endangered , endangered and vulnerable . They differ in the risk of extinction; critically endangered species has the highest risk of extinction, followed by the remaining two. The third category consists of 3 conservation statuses: conservation dependent , near threatened and least concern , which differ from one another in terms of their needs to be included into conservation programs. By understanding the risk of going extinct of each species according to the Red List, international organizations and state governments can develop appropriate conservation program corresponding to each of them. Different graph and statistics about the situation of endangered species in the world have been collected: Graph 1(IUCN Red List, 2007) Graph 1 above shows the percentage species in several groups which are list in the second category: either critically endangered, endangered or vulnerable. As shown in the graph, amphibians have the relatively largest proportion (around 30%) in second category compared to other animal kingdoms, followed by mammals (around 20%) and birds (around 12.5%). Graph 2(Prof. Kiefer, 2010) Graph 2 is different from the first one in that it calculates the number but not the proportion. Mammals (around 400) have the highest ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
