The Production Of Additive Manufacturing
As the acceptance and use of Additive manufacturing methods increases, so does the demand to
increase the geometric accuracy of products. The additive manufacturing process produces products of
fair geometric quality but is nowhere near as geometrically accurate as its counterpart, subtractive
manufacturing. Here I review the processes of additive manufacturing that cause a decrease in
geometric accuracy. As processes that cause geometric inaccuracy are highlighted; the additive
manufacturing process comes closer to producing products capable of maintaining a high level of
geometric accuracy.

The scan software estimates the relative size of the object, then produces a virtual model, adding error
to the product. This error causes an overestimation of the original object s size, resulting in an
oversized model (Pinto). Errors leading to oversized models must be kept to a minimum, especially
for models destined for the medical field. Some models are made to replicate the body structure of
patients in order to provide surgeons with a model to simulate the surgery beforehand (Petzold). These
models include the structure of critical veins and areas that must be avoided to prevent complications
during surgery (Petzold). It is critical that the model accurately represents the position of such critical
points so during pre surgery simulation/planning surgeons can construct a feasible method to avoid
these areas. To increase model accuracy, accurately represent critical features and minimize the
amount of overestimation scans of objects should be taken using the maximum amount of reference
points the software and scanner allow (Pinto). The second method of attaining a .stl file does not
involve estimations allowing the model to maintain the desired geometry. The model is made directly
in a CAD program then uploaded directly to the slicing software. This software slices the design into
the many layers that

Film Mise En Scene
In film making, Mise en Scène refers to the overall look and feel of a movie. It includes everything the
audience sees, hears, and experiences while viewing a motion picture. Mise en Scène may influence
one s mood as they watch a movie. In addition, odors, décor, lighting, and sounds can inspire one s
emotional response to a real life setting. Citizen Kane exhibits the elements of mise en scène to
reinforce loss as a recurring theme throughout the film. For example, throughout the course of the
production, Charles Kane lost important prized possessions, including his mother, which steered him
on a negative course. During the dinner scene, Charles and his first wife Emily were at the table
conversing, which displayed many elements of design that foreshadowed their future plans as a
couple. For instance, at the beginning of their relationship, they wore elegant attire and sat close ...

The way the house is presented in the beginning scene provides an inference to the attitude and
personality of Charles Foster Kane in his elder years. The 3 tiers of fencing in view describe how
Kane is isolated, lonely, and private. The dark skyline and abundance of foreign landscape
characterizes how he has exotic taste. Lastly, the gondolas from Italy indicate how he wants the world
to focus on him. Elements of design are used heavily in the scene when Susan Alexander is sick in bed
due to depression of not wanting to be an opera singer. The director Orson Welles created Susan to
look weak and lifeless that showed viewers how controllable Charles was. The light was dim on her
and bright on Charles. Charles was elegantly dressed while she looked like she was about to die.
Every detailed element makes viewers conclude the complicated relationship between these two

Black Men And Public Space Essay
There have been many stories about discrimination. It has affected people of color. Those stories
explained how bad it can be for outsiders. Stories like that have had a big impact on society. Two
stories that are an example of that are Black Men and Public Space by Brent Staples and The F Word
by Firoozeh Dumas. The stories, Black Men and Public Space and The F Word are similar because
both characters were discriminated against themselves, were not the only ones harassed, and each
went through a tough moment. One of the ways the two essays are similar is because both characters
were discriminated against themselves. For example, In Black men and Public Space Staples was
discriminated against for his skin color. He lived in a part of Chicago where it was mostly white
American people. Sometimes people would not look his way and ignored him because they thought he
was up to no good. The reason for that was because white people did not want to associate with a
black man. Staples was also discriminated because of the way he walked at night. In the essay, an
example of that was when Staples explained that he was walking behind a woman. The woman turned
around and saw him. The woman thought he was a mugger because Staples was black. In his own
words, Staples described After a few more quick glimpses; she picked up her pace was soon running
in earnest, within seconds she disappeared into a cross street (pg195). That was the kind of
discriminations he had

Comparing Texts
Writers such as Dwight Okita and Sandra Cisneros were greatly influenced by the American culture.
Response to Executive Order 9066 by Dwight Okita, and Mericans by Sandra Cisneros both authors
establish the topic of American identity. In Okita s poem, American identity has more to do with how
you experience culture than with where your family came from. Both Okita s poem and Cisneros s
short story show that cultural heritage and physical appearances do not determine what it means to be
American.
In response to Mericans , the first sign of American identity that is noticed by this short story is the
classification of relatives in the style of traditional American names such as Auntie and Uncle . The

European And Non-European Expansion In The 1500s And 1600s
Europeans had many ambitions throughout the 1500s and 1600s. To achieve their goals, they deferred
to the non European culture. The main question remains: how did the Europeans accommodate
themselves to Non European culture? The European traders and missionaries would accommodate
themselves by integrating into the Non European culture, by adapting their physical appearance, by
referring to the traditional practices, and through the response of the native people wants to European
goods.
For Europe s influence to be successful across the world, they had a guide written by Father Jean de
Brébeuf, called Instructions for The Fathers of Our Society Who Shall Be Sent to The Hurons. In this
small guide, Father Jean, writes instruction for other European members to follow in order to be
successful in their influence in the new world. The thought of being the superior race, followed them
to the new world, so embracing a culture that they thought was low class, was a big change to the
European men. As to the other numerous things which may be unpleasant, they must be endured for
the love of God, without saying anything or appearing to notice them. They did not do anything that
contradicts the Natives belief, as they were trying to convert them to the idealized culture. They were
doing so in a way that the Natives did not realize they were being converted. So, the Europeans
change their normal customs, to gain their trust. In which they accommodate to non European ways.

superheroes are forced to give up saving people, but this is exactly what happened in Metroville. After
a string of lawsuits from unhappy citizens, superheroes are pressured to live normal lives in complete
government funded anonymity. After living fifteen years as a normal citizen , Bob Parr, A.K.A. Mr.
Incredible, is itching to get back into the action. His wife, Helen, A.K.A Elastigirl, would much rather
take care of their three children: Violet, Dash, and Jack Jack. When Bob goes behind his family s back

Although Bob was a bit rusty in some places he manages to destroy the robot. He went back several
more times to defeat the robots and buffed up when he could. Those are his challenges and
temptations. His wife, children, and even best friend, Frozone, were unaware of Bob s adventures.
Once Helen found his old super suit recently torn, she went to the designer, Edna Mode, whose role is
a mentor. She had created a series of new suits for Bob, Helen, and the kids. Helen uses a jet to find
Bob, and the children, Dash and Violet, sneak on the plane. By this time, Bob knows who his real
client is, a kid he rejected as a sidekick several years prior, when he was still a super hero. The kid,
now known as Syndrome, used Bob to test his robots, which he planned to bring into the city to cause
mayhem so Syndrome could destroy them himself and be seen as a hero. Bob s abyss was when
Syndrome showed him the jet his wife and children were on being blown up by missiles. Fortunately,
the family survived, but Bob didn t know that. His transformation was when he was reunited with his
family and apologized. They forgive him and he promised to change. Now fighting alongside his
family, Bob is more powerful than ever. His atonement was when he and his family defeated
Syndrome and the robots. At the end of the movie, he returned to his regular life

How Is Shinto Similar To Confucianism
I feel that Shinto is similar to Confucianism. There is an unequivocal accentuation in transit. The to
some portion of the word is based of do which is the way. Shinto additionally is vigorously centered
around nature. In japan that is really simple in light of the fact that in spite of contamination there is
huge regular excellence. Indeed, even today the Japanese respect nature by making rock greenhouses
and tea functions.
The kami are spirits. Be that as it may, more than spirits they are the quintessence of things. They are
the middle people amongst paradise and earth, they adjust. They have a tendency to live in wonderful
characteristic spaces like awesome mountains. The sovereign is additionally viewed as a living Kami.

Woman On The Run
Directed by Norman Foster, Woman on the Run, is a noir thriller packed with hard boiled dialogue,
humor and unexpected plot twists. Woman on the Run tells the story of Frank Johnson; a starving
artist who witnesses a gangland killing while walking his dog late at night. Arriving on the murder
scene, Detective Martin Ferris identifies Frank as the last living witness in an ongoing investigation.
Frank senses that he is in great danger and flees from the scene, leaving his dog, Rembrandt, behind.
Detective Ferris interrogates Frank s wife, Eleanor Johnson, in hopes of finding him. Much to Ferris
dismay, Eleanor shows the same indisposition to help the police as her husband.

During her search, however, Eleanor discovers much more than her husband s whereabouts. The
deeper meanings of this film are set up by the film s title and plot sequence. The title of this film,
Woman on the Run is misleading. Eleanor is not on the run, her husband Frank is. Norman Foster used
a misleading title to indicate a duality in meaning. Although Eleanor is not running from the police,
she is running around the city trying to protect her husband from impending danger. Beyond that, she
is searching for the love she once shared with her husband. At the beginning of this film, Eleanor is
snarky and resentful towards her husband. She doesn t like the lifestyle of a starving artist; having to
barter for goods and constantly drifting from place to place. Eleanor longs for stability, something her
husband has yet to provide her. Throughout the film, Eleanor rediscovers her love for her husband.
Frank sends a letter, encrypted with information only Eleanor knows. Eleanor is then forced to re live
the happiest moments of their marriage in order to find her husband. Along the way, she discovers he
has a serious heart condition which saddens and frustrates her; but in end, makes her love for Frank

The Class Of African American History
Color You walk into the classroom and it s the most awkward thing ever. You regret the day you
signed up for this class...African American history. But why? Why did everyone inelegantly stare?
Why does your skin color make matters this problematic? It s essential that a class like African
American history becomes more diverse. Most assume that this class is aiming for an African
American audience. This assumption is completely misleading, but most fall the underdog to. The
homogeneity society amongst the students is bare and should be altered.
I m currently enrolled in African American history. I ve noticed there aren t any people outside of the
African American race in the class. The teacher has noticed out of all 9 years he s been teaching the
class, he s had maybe 8 people that weren t African American. I feel there is no imagined community
within this learning space. In Pratt s essay she tells how Benedict Anderson refers to an imagined
community. Anderson s idea of an imagined community is communities exist as imagined entities in
which people will never know most of their fellow members, meet them or even hear of them, yet in
the minds of each other lives the image of their communication (327). All classes are expected to be
diverse and full of divergence. But yet, we re all in some way in which most think is by race, already
in deep relation. The absence of nonconformity leaves a toll on the class, whereas we are interested in
how people from different races feel

The Tactics Of Combat Civil Wars And Instill Peace
The three main tactics used to combat civil wars and instill peace in an area are peacekeeping, peace
enforcement, and counterinsurgency. The first tactic I will address is peacekeeping. Once the two
parties of a conflict have agreed to a truce, peacekeepers will come in to guarantee the implementation
of the truce and try to maintain peace. The duty of peacekeepers is not only [to] monitoring troops, but
also with human rights monitoring, protecting and delivering humanitarian aid, demobilizing and
retraining troops, reforming police forces, protecting civilians, reforming legal systems, assisting in
economic reconstruction, and sometimes administering the entire state until a new government can
take over. In other words, after civil wars, peacekeepers are often charged not only with military
monitoring duties, but with reforming the essential institutions of the state (Peacekeeping, Peace
Enforcement, and UN Reform Lise Morjé Howard, P 1 2). There are three ways that peacekeepers are
able to use their power in order to succeed. These three ways include coercion, inducement, and
persuasion. Coercion involves a display of power, like swagger, to wield off attacks. Troops use
swagger in several scenarios. One of the most common times the use of swagger will occur is during
policing, where troops will patrol the area. Since one of the main doctrines of peacekeeping involves
not using force, this type of coercion has been deemed useful. Even though the majority of the time

The Great Gatsby is an extraordinary novel written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, who tells the story about the
wealthy man of Long Island named, Jay Gatsby, a middle aged man with a mysterious past, who lives
at a gothic mansion and hosts many parties with many strangers who were not entirely invited. In the
novel, The Great Gatsby, written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, many characters are discussed uniquely to an
extent from the festive, yet status hungry Roaring Twenties. In The Great Gatsby, Fitzgerald
introduces many characters who all seem to cause conflict with each other because of incompatible
personalities. The main character that F. Scott Fitzgerald sets the entire book over is Jay Gatsby,
Gatsby, is first shown as a mysterious man whose ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This shows that Gatsby seems to strangely disappear from Nick s view, and with Nick unaware of who
Jay Gatsby legitimately, this gives the character an aura of mystery. Gatsby is a mysterious unique
character that many people seem to guess who his true identity is, for example when Nick and Jordan
attend on of Gatsby s great parties Nick begins to ask Jordan questions about Gatsby where is he from,
I mean? And what does he do? Now you re started on the subject (Fitzgerald 53). This shows that
nobody fully understands who Gatsby truly is, and that although many people participate at his parties,
no one really knows who the host actually is, making Jay Gatsby mysterious as ever.
Jay Gatsby, the main character of F. Scott Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby, is also described as a man
who seemed to do anything to get what he wants, however even though what he wants he cannot
receive and this tends to hurt some of the other characters around Jay Gatsby, which makes Gatsby
seem as a stubborn man who is stubbornly in love. Gatsby shows stubbornness when he is talking to
Tom and Daisy, for example in chapter 7 of The Great Gatsby it states your wife doesn t love you, said
Gatsby quietly. She never loved you. She loves me. (Fitzgerald 137). This shows that Gatsby is so

How to Patent a Website Idea: Everything You Need to Know
If you want to learn how to patent a website idea, it is important that you understand the steps
necessary to protect your website idea from others that may try to profit from your idea. For example,
a utility patent is the most common type of patent. It covers the functional aspects of an invention. In
order for an invention to qualify for patent protection, it must be useful, new, and non obvious. This
means that it must be have some sort of purpose, or otherwise, be useful to potential consumers. It
must be new, which means that the invention cannot be similar to another invention already patented.

Provisional Patents for Websites
A provisional patent application is filed with the USPTO and establishes an early filing date, but doesn
t amount to a formal patent application unless and until the applicant files a non provisional patent
application within the 12 months subsequent to filing the non provisional patent. A provisional patent
application is both less detailed and less costly. Immediately after you file your provisional patent
application, you can indicate that your website idea is patent pending. During this time period, you can
develop your website idea even further and turn your provisional patent application into a formal non
provisional patent application.
With a provisional application, you ll want to prepare diagrams and drawings of your website when
filing the application. When drafting the diagrams, consider the user interface itself, the software
generated process, and the administrative screens/cods/software used to maintain the website. Since
there are many unique business processes involved in your website, you want to keep each one
distinct, showcasing the unique methods and processes utilized, and how your website came together.
The more specific and detailed you can be, the higher your chance of patent protection. Always be
mindful that you can hire a qualified patent attorney to assist you with preparing your application. You
can even hire a professional to assist in the drawings,

Examples Of Contrapasso In Dante s Inferno
This poem was filled with the act of contrappasso; the idea that each sin had a justifiable crime . Dante
s very first descension into hell went like, Above the chasm of pain, which holds the din/ Of infinite
grief: a gulf so dark and deep/ And murky that though I gazed intently down/ Into the canyon, I could
see nothing below. (Inferno IV.5 8). Limbo was described as a sightless zone , but this circle didn t
contain people who were corrupted by sin. Virgil while describing the people that inhabited this circle
said, Before you go on, I tell you: they did not sin;/ if they have merit, it can t suffice without/
Baptism, portal to the faith you maintain./ Some lived before the Christian faith, so that/ They did not

It is known to the readers that Francesca was the wife of Gianciotto Malatesta, but she fell in love with
his brother Paolo. Dante while describing the punishment of lust he said, So I saw souls come uttering
cries wind tossed,/ And lofted by the storm. Master, I cried,/ Who are these people, by black air
oppressed? (Inferno V. 43 45). The people who fell victim to lust were in a never ending dust storm.
Francesca also went on to describe to their punishment, This one, who now will never leave my side,
Kissed my mouth trembling. A Galeotto, that book! (Inferno V.121 122). Since Francesa fell victim to
lust, she has to forever be around her lover. That sin had a very justifiable punishment. Later on we
have the sin of fraud, and this again came with a justifiable crime. This canto was a very hard one for
Dante to encounter because of the grotesque form of the inhabitants that lived there. Once he saw this
scene, he said, Try to imagine, yourself, how I could have kept/ Tears of my own from falling for the
sake/ Of our human image so grotesquely reshaped, Contorted so the eyes tears fell to wet/ The
buttocks at the cleft. (Inferno XX.

Social Justice Issue Of Suicide Prevention Essay
For this online assignment, I am going to be focusing on the social justice issue of suicide prevention.
This is a social justice issue because it affects the community as a whole, not just the person who is
experiencing suicidal ideation. Looking at the issue from the bigger picture can help to establish more
effective prevention methods.
Question #1 I would give myself a rating of 9 with how willing I am to allow the issue of suicide
prevention to be questioned and refuted by scientific evidence. Through my experience, which I will
talk about in the next question, most of the work that goes into organized suicide prevention efforts is
based off of research. With the combination of this knowledge, my personal experience working with
suicide prevention/crisis counseling, and my fierce passion for mental health and suicide prevention, I
would have no problem allowing the use of scientific evidence when looking at and/or refuting the

Difference Between Covert And Clandestine Operation
Distinguish the difference between covert and clandestine operations. Is one more effective over the
other? Why?
Covert and Clandestine operations play a vital role in protecting the United States of America from
enemies both foreign and domestic. The 1991 Intelligence Authorization Act defined covert action as
an activity or activities of the United States Government to influence the political, economic, or

First clandestine operations place an emphasis on using concealment operation rather than on
concealment of identity of the sponsor. (JP 3 05.1) While during Covert operations the sponsor tries it

a Clandestine mission to be approved, it must follow the procedures in place, and to ensure it has the
approval process of certain senior ranking officials. However, if it s under covert authority, then it
must follow this covert action process. This is a much longer process, to include it ll help support the

The Influence Of William Herschel s Telescope
Kathleen Lundeen, an English professor at Western Washington University, offers a view of William
Herschel s creation of the largest telescope (for at least fifty years), and how the public received this
invention. Lundeen explains that Herschel was as renowned as a maker of telescopes as he was as an
astronomer, and he oversaw the construction of several hundred instruments, which were sold in
England and on the continent (2). Herschel, his sister, and his son, all shared an interest in astronomy;
and all of which made numerous contributions to the study of the sky (O Connor Robertson 1999).
Despite Herschel s success as an astronomer and inventor, the public and his peers managed to find
significant flaws with his telescope and designs. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although Herschel had a lot of success with his forty foot telescope, he himself was aware of its
limitations and flaws. He knew that moving the massive scope was not really feasible, which made
looking at different parts of the sky a challenge. Also, the material the telescope was made of was not
ideal. The telescope s mirror was very thick, and tarnishing became an issue, especially because of the
amount of copper. Condensation would also occur, which not only affected the visibility, but also
accelerated the tarnishing (Lundeen 9). Despite the flaws, I think people tend to forget just how
massive this telescope was, and how revolutionary it should be considered, even just as an example of

Organisational culture is defined as the ways in which things are accomplished, a pattern of shared
basic assumptions that the group learned as it solved its problems of external adaptation and internal

Recreational Therapy Essay
The world is becoming a rapidly changing place in terms of population growth, cultural values, and
intertwined beliefs not only in the United States, but also on an international scale. According to Terry
Robertson and Terry Long, authors of Foundations of Therapeutic Recreation, significant changes in
culture and interdependent belief systems are happening all around us. These cultural changes are
occurring worldwide, (2008, p. 270). With these rapidly occurring global changes, Recreational
Therapy as a profession needs to be changing along with this new global society. As professionals,
recreational therapists need to be able to be flexible and meet many roles, while on the job (Long,

Character Analysis Of A Separate Peace
Separating Peace Character By Character
A Separate Peace is a novel based around a group of high school boys in a private college preparatory
school named Devon. Most of Devon s students want, have, and search for peace throughout their
time at school. Upon return from summer break, each character searches for and discovers their own
peace. Each character has found or withheld a certain peace, in real life. Each separate peace is
exposed throughout fatal or cheerful events. The words separate and peace represent a variety of ideas
in Knowles novel, especially for Gene, Phineas, and Leper. I believe author John Knowles chose this
title to imply individuals may possess their own unique peace.

He was always fully at peace there and did not care what the others thought about that. There are so
many people who love to be outside just to be there and admire the scene. I completely relate,
especially during the summer.
During the times that I was spending my time alone I felt completely friendless and without
acquaintances. I eventually became used to it and it was not so bad. When I did end up in a group like
Leper did with Gene, Finny, Chet, and Bobby, I felt better about myself. I also met a new girl in my
grade who was always by herself. I felt bad and began to talk to her. She would not force herself on
anyone and was really quiet and shy and would stay by herself if needs be. She was really excited to
make new friends and we hit it right off. A body can be peaceful, being alone to revel in their own
version of entertainment, but still with a group of pals. This is one specific peace that can fill a person.
There are so many more and a couple of other categories were demonstrated through the writing, each
showing in a different main character.
The title does not necessarily stand just for being happy when alone. It can also be interpreted to being
a peace if being talkative, surrounded by close buddies, having healthy, silly, crazy relationships with
everyone, and doing the possible and anything off the beaten path (such as breaking the rules and
jumping out of a tree). In the text there is one constantly

But before the amphitheatres there were inn yards. The Elizabethan Inn yards were a fore runner to
Elizabethan Theatres such as the Globe Theatre. Elizabethan Inns were always popular. Not only did
they provide alcohol but they also provided rooms and lodgings for the Elizabethan traveller. All of
these amphitheatres consisted of a large open space in which the audience would stand. This open
space was called the pit and was meant for those people who couldn t afford a proper seat within the
theatre itself, this would usually cost only one penny. These audience members were called the
understanders as they were not as educated and high class. Behind the understanders would be three
rings of galleries, one above the other, each nine or ten feet high, where the people were prepared to
pay a little more for a better seat and cushions. For the upper class there were special seats, or rooms
called the lords rooms which were positioned above the entrances of the stage. Even though the seats
were poor for watching the play itself they were mainly to show the others their privilege. The stage
itself was a proscenium arch stage, putting the scenes into a pictorial frame allowing the audience to
have a clear perspective of where to look at. Restoration theatres came into existence in 1660. The
picture frame stage is the basis of most modern staging and certainly the model for all cinema and

Captain Ahab s Sermon
Do human beings have free will or free choice and if not who or what shapes human destiny?
(McSweeney 9) Herman Melville utilizes Father Mapple s sermon in his nineteenth century epic novel
Moby Dick, to illustrate the duality of mankind. Mortal man pursues his own singular interests with
selfish intent; however, God has prevailing intentions, which are often beyond the comprehension of
the individual. Melville expands and elaborates this theme throughout his epic work. The sermon is an
omen for the dynamic action of the novel, which is revealed in Captain Ahab s megalomaniacal
pursuit of the white whale. No person, ship or force of nature can sway Captain Ahab from his selfish
ambition. He is willing to risk his crew, career, and even ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There was a low rumbling of heavy sea boots among the benches, and a still slighter shuffling of
women s shoes, and all was quiet again, and every eye on the preacher. The repetition of the s sound
sets the scene for the sermon. The Reverend rings out in Melville s grand self echoing style. Once
again he sets the mood, and forces the reader to be attentive. Humble Father Mapple kneels in the
pulpit, illustrating the message of his sermon, by praying for redemption, as Jonah did at the bottom of
the sea in the belly of a whale. After completing the devout prayer Mapple breaks into a mariners
hymn, which is a petition to the worshipers, and a plea for repentance. Melville believed the primal
truth was represented by ... elemental and undisciplined energy. We are therefore allowed only

Righteous Father Mapple opens the sermon with a call to hear the word of the Lord. And God had
prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. , but first speaks to the congregation in a way that seems
like he is justifying the ways of God. The ensuing sermon offers a clear insight and functions as an
interpretive key to the central thrust of the tale. Melville undoubtedly intended that Father Mapple s

Examining how Brutus and Mark Anthony Utilise Language to Manipulate the Audience in Act 3

and Mark Anthony s response in Act 3 Scene 2. Brutus as a conspirator against Caesar addresses the
audience to justify himself along with his other conspirator s actions whilst Mark Anthony speaks in
Caesar s defence and Brutus prosecution. This essay will explore how each character uses rhetorical
devices to appeal to the audience.

By purposely not using murdered in place of slain, he creates an effect on the audience to believe that
the killing of Caesar wasn t brutal and that it was for a good cause. The audience cherish Rome, so
Brutus clarifies that Rome is more important than Caesar. Brutus persuades the audience by speaking
for the good of Rome. His repetition of the personal pronoun of I shows that he is once again
distancing himself from the blame. Brutus uses this third person narrative of himself effectively in
order to convince the crowd that even if he wasn t Brutus, the loyal and trustworthy friend of Caesar,
he would of still murdered Caesar. His announcement of that he will slay himself in order to please
Rome, reinforces his love for Rome and this creates and effect on the people to show that he is still a
noble roman.
Throughout Brutus funeral oration the audience and the reader notice a structure and logic of themes.
The structure has assisted his oration to manipulate the audience in to believing his defence and ideas.
For instance Here comes his body mourned by Mark Anthony: who though he had no hand in his
death, shall receive the benefit of his dying, a place in the commonwealth . Here Brutus is suggesting
that the murder of Caesar has resulted beneficial for those who have no role in the murder. Moreover,
Brutus provides a logical justification for his and

If there was a book that had every unwritten rule in society, even the obvious ones, the book would be

basically is saying that a person has to follow the unwritten rules of society if they want to be treated
like they belong. The unwritten rules are still helpful today and though many places have different

Information And Communication Technology And Poverty In...
Information and communication technology (ICT) is becoming very popular among people. In the last
decade, the major upswing was seen in using the traditional and the modern information and
communication technology. Several modes of ICTs are computers, radio, television, printer, mobile
phones, internet, laptops etcetera. All these play a crucial role to connect people world widely. There is
currently some debate whether ICTs are the constructive way to reduce impoverishment in developing
countries. Lack of adequate infrastructure for ICTs availability and high cost of devices are some
problems to achieve the goal of less poverty in developing nations. However, dispersing the light of
education and improving health care facilities in progressing countries clearly shows that ICTs are
strongly productive way to decline poverty in developing countries. Therefore, this essay will argue
that providing the work force education and connecting patients and doctors for better health results
will definitely contribute to alleviate poverty in developing countries.
To a certain point, there are some barriers to ICTs framework policies on poverty reduction programs
in the developing countries. The major one is the infrastructure, which is important to access the
technology. For example, Elijah (2006, p. 14) explained that in Nigeria, lack of electricity and
inadequate technical support are constraints in to access ICT. The author added to this that 75% of

Language Discrimination In Language
Language Discrimination Language discrimination is treating an individual unfairly due to the
features of their speech for instance, accent, vocabulary size and syntax. The growing Latino
population has been a cause or rising concern among most of the white Americans. This rapid growth
is viewed by the whites as a potential cause of the extinction of English and the way of life in
America. As a result, the whites have strived to discourage the use of Latinos heritage language which
has been discriminative (Barret 180). Despite the fact that language discrimination is being fought
against, it still exists in America. The linguistic profiling is as dangerous as racial profiling since it
denies one the opportunity to have equal chances of getting a degree, employment, a place of
residence and even healthcare because people use false general assumptions concerning a language in
order to justify the judgements concerning race, origin, religion, ethnicity and regional affiliation than
with communication and language. The two leading English dialects in Latino America that is, Puerto
Rican and Chicano English are viewed as substandard. Besides, they assumed to have been highly
influenced by African American English. This paper aims to discuss language discrimination with
emphasis on the Latino community, and how it affects the members of the Latino community both in
workplaces and institutions. In the USA, strong bonds exist which tend to connect language and

The Factors Of The French Resistance In World War II
The French Resistance The French Resistance was a collection of resistance groups that fought against
Nazi Germany and its puppet state of Vichy France. They were mainly comprised of men and women
who fought the Nazis through sabotage, ambushes, and hit and run tactics; disrupting power grids,
transport lines, and telecommunications. In addition to guerilla warfare, they also published
underground newspapers, collected intelligence, and helped Allied soldiers trapped behind enemy
lines to escape. Furthermore, they also played a large role in Operation Overlord (invasion of northern
France) and Operation Dragoon (invasion of southern France) by providing the Allies with locations
of Nazi fortifications and defenses. The French Resistance was extremely crucial to winning World
War II and saving the lives of Allied soldiers.
The surrender of France to the Nazis in June of 1940 was a major blow to French nationalism. Many
believed the government had let the people down by fleeing Paris and through the creation of Vichy
France, a French puppet government supported by the Nazis. The assurance by the French government
that the Maginot Line was more than strong enough to resist a Nazi attack was of course, proved false.
The Maginot Line also had a glaring weakness: there were very little fortifications bordering Belgium.
France did not want to offend its ally, so the Maginot Line stopped at the Ardennes Forest, which was
considered impenetrable. However, the Nazis bombed French

Wealth Gap Between Whites And Minorities Essay
Wealth Gap in America America has a lengthy history on how it became the powerful country it is
today, and although its history can be interrupted in many ways (depending who you ask) one thing
that is for certain is that wealth has yet to be distributed equally amongst minorities. According to the
article Income inequality matter; Extreme gap in wealth makes society unstable. Philip Meyer claims
that the wealth gap between whites and minorities has existed since Ronald Reagans term of
presidency (A9). Although Ronald Reagans term ended many years ago the mistakes that caused this
imbalance of wealth (and its aftermath) while he was in office remains almost if not exactly the same
as when the problem initially began (Meyer A9). The wealth gap continues to target minorities and is
affecting our communities at an alarming rate, however, many attempts have been made to reduce its
existence but the factors of income inequality, unemployment rates and discrimination before and after
our recent 2007 recession prevents our country from eliminating such a toxic problem. The wealth gap
is a problem that which the hard working people of America know very little about. Using Ignorance
towards this problem does not cease its existence of it but rather contributes to growth because it s not
being addressed. It s a problem that seems to affect mainly the minorities of the U.S. population, such
as Blacks and Hispanics. However, not everyone is in the dark about this lingering ever

  • 2. The Production Of Additive Manufacturing As the acceptance and use of Additive manufacturing methods increases, so does the demand to increase the geometric accuracy of products. The additive manufacturing process produces products of fair geometric quality but is nowhere near as geometrically accurate as its counterpart, subtractive manufacturing. Here I review the processes of additive manufacturing that cause a decrease in geometric accuracy. As processes that cause geometric inaccuracy are highlighted; the additive manufacturing process comes closer to producing products capable of maintaining a high level of geometric accuracy. 1.Intro Additive manufacturing (AM) methods in product development and manufacturing are projected to grow over 300% within the next 10 years ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The scan software estimates the relative size of the object, then produces a virtual model, adding error to the product. This error causes an overestimation of the original object s size, resulting in an oversized model (Pinto). Errors leading to oversized models must be kept to a minimum, especially for models destined for the medical field. Some models are made to replicate the body structure of patients in order to provide surgeons with a model to simulate the surgery beforehand (Petzold). These models include the structure of critical veins and areas that must be avoided to prevent complications during surgery (Petzold). It is critical that the model accurately represents the position of such critical points so during pre surgery simulation/planning surgeons can construct a feasible method to avoid these areas. To increase model accuracy, accurately represent critical features and minimize the amount of overestimation scans of objects should be taken using the maximum amount of reference points the software and scanner allow (Pinto). The second method of attaining a .stl file does not involve estimations allowing the model to maintain the desired geometry. • 3. Film Mise En Scene In film making, Mise en Scène refers to the overall look and feel of a movie. It includes everything the audience sees, hears, and experiences while viewing a motion picture. Mise en Scène may influence one s mood as they watch a movie. In addition, odors, décor, lighting, and sounds can inspire one s emotional response to a real life setting. Citizen Kane exhibits the elements of mise en scène to reinforce loss as a recurring theme throughout the film. For example, throughout the course of the production, Charles Kane lost important prized possessions, including his mother, which steered him on a negative course. During the dinner scene, Charles and his first wife Emily were at the table conversing, which displayed many elements of design that foreshadowed their future plans as a couple. For instance, at the beginning of their relationship, they wore elegant attire and sat close ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The way the house is presented in the beginning scene provides an inference to the attitude and personality of Charles Foster Kane in his elder years. The 3 tiers of fencing in view describe how Kane is isolated, lonely, and private. The dark skyline and abundance of foreign landscape characterizes how he has exotic taste. Lastly, the gondolas from Italy indicate how he wants the world to focus on him. Elements of design are used heavily in the scene when Susan Alexander is sick in bed due to depression of not wanting to be an opera singer. The director Orson Welles created Susan to look weak and lifeless that showed viewers how controllable Charles was. The light was dim on her and bright on Charles. Charles was elegantly dressed while she looked like she was about to die. • 4. Black Men And Public Space Essay There have been many stories about discrimination. It has affected people of color. Those stories explained how bad it can be for outsiders. Stories like that have had a big impact on society. Two stories that are an example of that are Black Men and Public Space by Brent Staples and The F Word by Firoozeh Dumas. The stories, Black Men and Public Space and The F Word are similar because both characters were discriminated against themselves, were not the only ones harassed, and each went through a tough moment. One of the ways the two essays are similar is because both characters were discriminated against themselves. For example, In Black men and Public Space Staples was discriminated against for his skin color. He lived in a part of Chicago where it was mostly white American people. Sometimes people would not look his way and ignored him because they thought he was up to no good. The reason for that was because white people did not want to associate with a black man. Staples was also discriminated because of the way he walked at night. In the essay, an example of that was when Staples explained that he was walking behind a woman. The woman turned around and saw him. The woman thought he was a mugger because Staples was black. In his own words, Staples described After a few more quick glimpses; she picked up her pace was soon running in earnest, within seconds she disappeared into a cross street (pg195). That was the kind of discriminations he had ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Response to Executive Order 9066 by Dwight Okita, and Mericans by Sandra Cisneros both authors establish the topic of American identity. In Okita s poem, American identity has more to do with how you experience culture than with where your family came from. Both Okita s poem and Cisneros s short story show that cultural heritage and physical appearances do not determine what it means to be American. In response to Mericans , the first sign of American identity that is noticed by this short story is the classification of relatives in the style of traditional American names such as Auntie and Uncle . • 6. European And Non-European Expansion In The 1500s And 1600s Europeans had many ambitions throughout the 1500s and 1600s. To achieve their goals, they deferred to the non European culture. The main question remains: how did the Europeans accommodate themselves to Non European culture? The European traders and missionaries would accommodate themselves by integrating into the Non European culture, by adapting their physical appearance, by referring to the traditional practices, and through the response of the native people wants to European goods. For Europe s influence to be successful across the world, they had a guide written by Father Jean de Brébeuf, called Instructions for The Fathers of Our Society Who Shall Be Sent to The Hurons. In this small guide, Father Jean, writes instruction for other European members to follow in order to be successful in their influence in the new world. The thought of being the superior race, followed them to the new world, so embracing a culture that they thought was low class, was a big change to the European men. As to the other numerous things which may be unpleasant, they must be endured for the love of God, without saying anything or appearing to notice them. They did not do anything that contradicts the Natives belief, as they were trying to convert them to the idealized culture. They were doing so in a way that the Natives did not realize they were being converted. So, the Europeans change their normal customs, to gain their trust. • 12. The Tactics Of Combat Civil Wars And Instill Peace The three main tactics used to combat civil wars and instill peace in an area are peacekeeping, peace enforcement, and counterinsurgency. The first tactic I will address is peacekeeping. Once the two parties of a conflict have agreed to a truce, peacekeepers will come in to guarantee the implementation of the truce and try to maintain peace. The duty of peacekeepers is not only [to] monitoring troops, but also with human rights monitoring, protecting and delivering humanitarian aid, demobilizing and retraining troops, reforming police forces, protecting civilians, reforming legal systems, assisting in economic reconstruction, and sometimes administering the entire state until a new government can take over. In other words, after civil wars, peacekeepers are often charged not only with military monitoring duties, but with reforming the essential institutions of the state (Peacekeeping, Peace Enforcement, and UN Reform Lise Morjé Howard, P 1 2). There are three ways that peacekeepers are able to use their power in order to succeed. These three ways include coercion, inducement, and persuasion. Coercion involves a display of power, like swagger, to wield off attacks. Troops use swagger in several scenarios. One of the most common times the use of swagger will occur is during policing, where troops will patrol the area. Since one of the main doctrines of peacekeeping involves not using force, this type of coercion has been deemed useful. Even though the majority of the time ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Melville expands and elaborates this theme throughout his epic work. The sermon is an omen for the dynamic action of the novel, which is revealed in Captain Ahab s megalomaniacal pursuit of the white whale. No person, ship or force of nature can sway Captain Ahab from his selfish ambition. He is willing to risk his crew, career, and even ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The repetition of the s sound sets the scene for the sermon. The Reverend rings out in Melville s grand self echoing style. Once again he sets the mood, and forces the reader to be attentive. Humble Father Mapple kneels in the pulpit, illustrating the message of his sermon, by praying for redemption, as Jonah did at the bottom of the sea in the belly of a whale. After completing the devout prayer Mapple breaks into a mariners hymn, which is a petition to the worshipers, and a plea for repentance. We are therefore allowed only glimpses of Melville s, God, as he is imagined in various guises throughout the book e.g., the Old Testament God invoked by Father Mapple; the great democratic God .... (Bloom, Bender 100) Righteous Father Mapple opens the sermon with a call to hear the word of the Lord. And God had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. , but first speaks to the congregation in a way that seems like he is justifying the ways of God. The ensuing sermon offers a clear insight and functions as an interpretive key to the central thrust of the tale. His repetition of the personal pronoun of I shows that he is once again distancing himself from the blame. Brutus uses this third person narrative of himself effectively in order to convince the crowd that even if he wasn t Brutus, the loyal and trustworthy friend of Caesar, he would of still murdered Caesar. His announcement of that he will slay himself in order to please Rome, reinforces his love for Rome and this creates and effect on the people to show that he is still a noble roman. Throughout Brutus funeral oration the audience and the reader notice a structure and logic of themes. The structure has assisted his oration to manipulate the audience in to believing his defence and ideas. For instance Here comes his body mourned by Mark Anthony: who though he had no hand in his death, shall receive the benefit of his dying, a place in the commonwealth . Here Brutus is suggesting that the murder of Caesar has resulted beneficial for those who have no role in the murder. Moreover, Brutus provides a logical justification for his and ... • 37. Language Discrimination In Language Language Discrimination Language discrimination is treating an individual unfairly due to the features of their speech for instance, accent, vocabulary size and syntax. The growing Latino population has been a cause or rising concern among most of the white Americans. This rapid growth is viewed by the whites as a potential cause of the extinction of English and the way of life in America. As a result, the whites have strived to discourage the use of Latinos heritage language which has been discriminative (Barret 180). Despite the fact that language discrimination is being fought against, it still exists in America. The linguistic profiling is as dangerous as racial profiling since it denies one the opportunity to have equal chances of getting a degree, employment, a place of residence and even healthcare because people use false general assumptions concerning a language in order to justify the judgements concerning race, origin, religion, ethnicity and regional affiliation than with communication and language. The two leading English dialects in Latino America that is, Puerto Rican and Chicano English are viewed as substandard. Besides, they assumed to have been highly influenced by African American English. This paper aims to discuss language discrimination with emphasis on the Latino community, and how it affects the members of the Latino community both in workplaces and institutions. • 39. The Factors Of The French Resistance In World War II The French Resistance The French Resistance was a collection of resistance groups that fought against Nazi Germany and its puppet state of Vichy France. They were mainly comprised of men and women who fought the Nazis through sabotage, ambushes, and hit and run tactics; disrupting power grids, transport lines, and telecommunications. In addition to guerilla warfare, they also published underground newspapers, collected intelligence, and helped Allied soldiers trapped behind enemy lines to escape. Furthermore, they also played a large role in Operation Overlord (invasion of northern France) and Operation Dragoon (invasion of southern France) by providing the Allies with locations of Nazi fortifications and defenses. The French Resistance was extremely crucial to winning World War II and saving the lives of Allied soldiers. The surrender of France to the Nazis in June of 1940 was a major blow to French nationalism. Many believed the government had let the people down by fleeing Paris and through the creation of Vichy France, a French puppet government supported by the Nazis. The assurance by the French government that the Maginot Line was more than strong enough to resist a Nazi attack was of course, proved false. The Maginot Line also had a glaring weakness: there were very little fortifications bordering Belgium. France did not want to offend its ally, so the Maginot Line stopped at the Ardennes Forest, which was considered impenetrable. However, the Nazis bombed French ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 41. Wealth Gap Between Whites And Minorities Essay Wealth Gap in America America has a lengthy history on how it became the powerful country it is today, and although its history can be interrupted in many ways (depending who you ask) one thing that is for certain is that wealth has yet to be distributed equally amongst minorities. According to the article Income inequality matter; Extreme gap in wealth makes society unstable. Philip Meyer claims that the wealth gap between whites and minorities has existed since Ronald Reagans term of presidency (A9). Although Ronald Reagans term ended many years ago the mistakes that caused this imbalance of wealth (and its aftermath) while he was in office remains almost if not exactly the same as when the problem initially began (Meyer A9). The wealth gap continues to target minorities and is affecting our communities at an alarming rate, however, many attempts have been made to reduce its existence but the factors of income inequality, unemployment rates and discrimination before and after our recent 2007 recession prevents our country from eliminating such a toxic problem. The wealth gap is a problem that which the hard working people of America know very little about. Using Ignorance towards this problem does not cease its existence of it but rather contributes to growth because it s not being addressed. It s a problem that seems to affect mainly the minorities of the U.S. population, such as Blacks and Hispanics. However, not everyone is in the dark about this lingering ever ...
