Development Of Wireless Mobile Telecommunication Essay
The purpose of the paper is to focus on the development of wireless mobile telecommunication.
Firstly, cellular network technology is introduced to understand the basis of wireless mobile
telecommunication. And then the history evolvement of mobile telephone systems is investigated
to help know the background of fourth generation wireless communication (4G). Finally, the
standard of 4G, different categories, the spread spectrum radio technologies as well as potential
benefits and problems that come with it are discussed. Especially, LTE standard is further
explained, including FDD LTE, TDD LTE and LTE advanced.
Cellular Network
In the development history of data communications and telecommunications, one of the most
significant advances has been the cellular networks technology, which is the foundation of wireless
mobile telecommunication and supports users in locations that are not easily served by wired
networks. It is the underlying technology for mobile telephones, wireless Internet and mobile web
applications, and so on.
Cellular network is a network where the last connection is wireless. In cellular network multiple
low power transmitters are used, with 100 W or less, thus, the spread range of such a transmitter
is small, dividing an area into cells. A band of frequencies is allocated to each cell and each cell
is served by a base station (BS), including of transmitter, receiver, and control unit. The base station
provides wireless network coverage which can be used

A Case Study On South Florida Real Estate
7.A Case Study
Let s imagine you have to sell a rather expensive condo in Hallandale Beach, Florida, which is
essentially a middle class town right north of Miami with a splash of a luxury building here or
there, and you happen to have this property for sale in one of those luxury buildings with the
market price more than twice the average price around town. So, it is hard to think that a local
interest would be extremely high, plus you know that a neighbor s apartment has been sitting on the
market with a local real estate agent for a while without a good and solid offer, plus there is a bit
of an issue with some banks to approve mortgages for this building. It is really time to think of
reaching foreign investors in South ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Please note that the internet is ever changing and what was seen at the time of these searches and

field www.google.ca in English. Oh, no luck either, the competition is also very tough. French
speaking Canadians from the province of Quebec love Florida and French at the same time.
Searching Canadian Google in French for immobilier Г Hallandale Beach Floride (the translation
that we got from the free online translator and consider correct, but who knows?) we can see not
so overcrowded environment, no big names and no paid ads at all which means that you can be
a good appealing choice for about five million French Canadians if they see your condo for sale
in French posted by a French speaking Canadian realtor. It could be the way to go. Canadian real
estate prices had never fallen along with American because of much stronger mortgage approval
rules in Canada, and just a couple of years ago Canadians used to borrow against their expensive
homes in Canada to buy cheap Florida homes for their future retirement with this cash. Now the
Florida real estate prices are going up; also the Canadian dollar was equal to the American buck a
couple of years ago, which is not the case anymore as the world s low oil prices

Effect Of Sucrose Concentration On Yeast
In conducting the experiment, four test tubes were set up; each containing 3 mL of distilled
water, and 0.3 grams of baker s yeast measured on a digital scale. The three independent variables
tested were milk, starch, and sucrose. Milk is composed of the disaccharide lactose, along with
unsaturated fats, and vitamins A and D. Starch, is a polysaccharide consisting of long chains of its
monomer glucose. Lastly, sucrose, also a disaccharide, consists of one glucose molecule, and one
fructose molecule. 0.3 grams of each were measured on a digital scale, and put into separate test
tubes, along with a control tube that contained only water and yeast. In order to fully combine the
solution, each test tube was shook twice, followed by placing a balloon over it in order to track

aqueous yeast solution had risen in all three test tubes, but most prominently in the tube containing
sucrose, which, after 35 minutes had a circumference of 6cm, compared to mik at 5 cm, at starch at

sucrose reached its maximum capacity for the amount of gas it could hold, indicated by it popping
off the test tube. At this point, the foam present in each tube was settling closer to the bottom. The
final measured circumference of each balloon was measured at 30 minutes, with sucrose measuring

Global Cultural Business Analysis of India
Global Business Cultural Analysis of India
BUSI 604: International Business
The nation that I have chosen for this Global Business Cultural Analysis research project is India.
India has one of the fastest growing and largest economies despite being one of the poorest
countries. India has emerged as the world s third largest economy, in terms of Purchasing Power
Parity (PPP), just behind the U.S. and China, according to a report from the World Bank (Bawaba,
2014). The academic reason in which I chose India is that it is very interesting in how one of the
poorest countries in the world has developed to be in the position of third largest economy.
There are five learning objectives I will research ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The nation of India operates on a caste system which is a form of social class structure from
birth. For example, if you were born poor you will always be poor and vice versa. The caste
system in India is quite rigorous, boasting 3,000 castes and 25,000 subcastes; memberships range
between the hundreds and the millions. India s caste system originated in Hinduism, but other
religious groups in India subscribe to similar systems (Gale 2001). Word Count: 90
How do both the above items compare with US culture and business? There are some differences in
conducting business in the United States compared to India and other countries. Building business
relationships in a foreign country takes time, emphasize etiquette experts. In the U.S. where time is
money (and both are often in short supply), business deals are secured overnight (Tulshyan 2010).
In India and other countries the business contracts may take several weeks to achieve, due to they

What are the implications for US businesses that wish to conduct business in that region? Before
the United States chooses to do business with India, they need to ensure they are familiar with the

American Myths and Mysteries Essay
Throughout the many decades that America has been in existence there have been many
interesting mysteries that have not been solved and myths passed down from generation to
generation. No one knows what caused these myths to come about or why these mysteries were
never solved, but they are a very interesting part of American history. From mysteries involving
serial killers to myths about mysterious creatures, there is a wide range of the unknown that many
people, except for witnesses, have never heard about. Now let s take a look into some of the most
fantastic myths and mysteries in America. The mystery of the Zodiac Killerwas never solved; it was

The legend of the Bermuda Triangle probably started some time around 1945, when a squadron of
five Navy Avenger airplanes disappeared on a training flight out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There
are many theories to why these planes and boats have gone missing, but the true mystery might
never be solved. Theories include enormous rogue waves, methane gas explosions, human
disorientation and human error, crazy weather patterns causes intense storms, magnetic fields that
causes compasses to be thrown off, the original UFO and Aliens, fog, and pirates. The best known
document in America, the Declaration of Independence, contains a very large myth that has finally
been proven wrong. John Hancock, president of that Continental Congress, signed his name largely
and boldly at the center of the place in the document for signatures to demonstrate his defiance of
the British Crown and to encourage others to sign the document as well. After people spent years
with new technology and research examining other documents, they were able to conclude that the
myth was wrong. It ended up that his signature was very large in the first place, that is just how he
signed his name.

Research Paper On Adolf Hitler
Who Was Adolf Hitler?
Do you know a powerful dictator that wanted to take all power? Well Hitler was just that, Adolf
Hitler was a German chancellor that wanted to take all power and conquer as many countries for
power. Hitler was also a dictator, he tried to most countries. Adolf Hitler never cared and wanted
all power, he killed jews for the fault of the loss of World War 1. Although Hitler had some skills
that made him a significant leader. Germany had been weak since the loss of World War 1 with the
Weimar Republic, This had some consequences for Germany. Although after Adolf Hitlerbecame
chancellor he made Germany big again by rearming his army and taking power. The Weimar
Republic
Before Hitler was chancellor the Weimar Republic was an unofficial, historical designation for
the German state. Weimar Republic flag for Germany was a striped flag going from one end to
the other with the colors of black on top, red on the middle, and yellow at the bottom.Weimar
Republic existed as the designation for Germany for 14 years, between 1919 and 1933.
Although World War 1 had occured during 1914 and 1918, but Germany was in this World War.
Germany was in this war that mostly took place in Britain and France, most damages from the
war were caused here. Although Germany had lost this war, and Germany had to pay some
consequences. Germany had to pay all the reparations done in the war and Germany couldn t of

Rationalize Channel Margins to Optimize Distribution Costs
Rationalize Channel Margins to Optimize Distribution Costs

ABSTRACT:
Distribution Channel Margins form an important component of the distribution cost which directly
affects the bottom line of any company. While the companies are trying to reduce the distribution
costs, to improve their own margin pressures, there seem to be little innovations in this area.
The margins offered to the distribution channel members by most of the companies are fixed in
percentage, which is directly proportional to the price of the product. In case of any change in price,
the channel margins in absolute ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2. Distributor s Cost: The above model does not consider the cost of running the business of the
Distributor. Due to diverse nature of the Indian markets, cost of running a distribution business
differs from market to market. Some markets may have higher concentration of retailers in few
places whereas some markets offer scattered locations of retailers, thereby affecting the
transportation cost. In highly populous markets, the speed of credit cycle may be high as compared
to less populous markets, thereby affecting the working capital requirement. The congestion on the
urban roads, distribution time, manpower requirement, average order quantity, etc. also need
customized considerations. 3. Return on Investment: When the margins are standardized, the ROI
calculation is totally dependent on the volumes of business. Executives often inflate the targeted
volume of business to meet the ROI expectations of the distributors. Many times, such inflated
targets are unrealistic and unachievable, resulting in loss to the distributor. This results in loss of
trust and goodwill of the firm and higher attrition rate of the distributors. 4. Firm s Marketing
Strategy: A Firm may change its marketing strategy which may require price changes. Such
strategies may include re positioning,

. Discuss the conflict that is occurring at General Hospital. In my opinion the conflict that is
occurring in the General Hospital is the physicians are interested in obtaining personal benefits from
representatives of pharmaceutical companies that distributes to the hospital. In most organization
this is considered a conflict of interest. The physicians focus is not on their patients but on obtaining
personal benefits. The Hospital pays each physician and clinician that is employed a very high

The General Hospital could overcome the cost incurred in the treatment as well as the salaries of
the doctors by negotiating with the suppliers. The hospital may find some of the suppliers not
willing to lower the items at the offered price however if they refuse to negotiate or lower the price
the Hospital should secure another company that is willing to negotiate the prices as a back up plan..
5. Recommend a strategy for Hammer to resolve the problem.
In my Opinion I think Hammer should use a strategy to solicit the opinion of Hospital employees
to help resolve the problem. He use an innovation awards plan. This plan will allow employees to
submit their innovation on how to resolve the problem and the staffs that submit the top ten ideas
are given a monetary gift. All employees opinion should be taken into consideration to help
Hammer resolve the problem at the hospital. The risks and contingencies should also be weighed
and taken into consideration prior to any final decisions actual being implementation. If there is a
conflict is found between the opinion of the employees, the hospital should allow the employees to
determine by using some form of voting procedure using upper or lower management. The advice
of the people who have been exposed to this type of problem should be interviewed for information
on how they dealt with the problem and what strategies that they used to

TOPIC:
The Secret War and how it affected the Hmong people.
SPECIFIC PURPOSE:
At the end of my speech, my audience will get a better sense of what the Secret War was and how
it affected the Hmong people.
INTRODUCTION:
Just by the name itself, it can already be implied to what the Secret War was. It was a war that
was kept as a secret from the public, and by public, I mean the American public. Many of you
may wonder what exactly is the secret war, and I will explain that throughout my speech. But
before I continue to explain the details of what it was and when it took place, it is also important
to introduce the group of people who I will be talking about throughout my speech and how they
were affected by this war, and that group of people is the Hmong people.
CENTRAL IDEA:
Although many people may not be aware of the Secret War, it was a war that greatly affected the
Hmong people and changed their lives forever.

Ancient Aliens and Ancient Astronaut Theory
Ancient Aliens and Ancient Astronaut Theory Mark P. Robertson Educational Planning Course
Critical Issue Project Empire State CollegeMary Ellen Shaughnessy June 17, 2011 There has been a
lot of commotion lately between both the scientific and religious communities in regards to this
topic. The claims of Intelligent Extraterrestrial Life visiting the Earth in ancient times and
profoundly affecting the development of Human civilization, is a controversial subject, at best.
Suggestions of extraterrestrials (ancient aliens and ancient astronauts) visiting the Earth in the past

Noah s was then instructed to repopulate, and implement species back on the Earth. Looking at the
Bible s story of Lot , also in Genesis, Von Daniken suggests that the two angels who visited lot were
not actually angels, but ancient astronauts, who used atomic weapons to destroy the city of Sodom.
Another ancient astronaut proponent and writer, Marc Dem, totally reinterprets the Book of
Genesis by claims that humanity started on another planet, and that God of the Holy Bible is
actually a spaceman. And, in stark contrast to popular belief, Jesus Christ, God s Son, is an Extra
Terrestrial, because He is essentially not of this planet. Several chapters of the Old Testament have
God depicted as travelling with clouds of smoke and fire, along with loud, trumpet like sounds. The
Book of Enoch tells of flying objects and beings (the Watchers) that descended from Heaven to
Earth. Enoch is said to have been taken on journeys around the Earth in these flying objects, and
even travels to the heavens. In support of the A.A.T., many theorists say that the sightings of U.F.O.
s throughout history are the actual creators of humanity who periodically, but in frequency, are
returning to Earth to check up on their creations . Put aside the many proponent s depictions and
interpretations of the ancient writings and artifacts, and there is no substantially hard evidence
existing to support this ancient aliens/ancient astronaut hypothesis. This

Cultural Beliefs And Influences Of Marijuana Use
Cultural Beliefs and Influences of Marijuana Use
There have been many cultures that have used marijuana for medicine. For instance, the Chinese
culture used the oil found in the plant for medical purposes. Medicine men would use it to treat
menstrual fatigue, gout, rheumatism, malaria, constipation, absent mindedness and surgical
anesthesia (Spicer, 2002). However, according to the Tao religion, cannabiswas noted to be
considered a yin. Cannabis is regarded in contempt because it weakens the body when eaten
(Spicer, 2002). Taoism considered only substances filled with yang, those that invigorate the body,
as favorable (Spicer, 2002).
Cannabis is also used medically in India s culture. Folk medicine often threw hemp into the fire to
aid an individual into overcoming evil forces that afflicted them. Traditional providers used
cannabis to treat congestion, diarrhea, and to cure fevers (Spicer, 2002). On the other hand, the
African tribe used cannabis to treat snake bites, facilitate child birth, and as a remedy for anthrax,
malaria, black water fever, blood poisoning, dysentery, and asthma (Spicer, 2002).
Religion and the Use of Marijuana Most religions condemn the use of marijuana for recreational
use. In Islam for example, marijuana is considered an intoxicant and all intoxicants are prohibited
(Waqar, 2015). For Christians, the recreational use of marijuana is used with the intent of achieving
intoxication, making it a sinful action (Carter, 2014). When it

Weight loss is a challenging endeavor to pursue. Even the concept is simple in theory, it can be
difficult to execute. It involves a lot of discipline, dedication and hard work. When you add in a
physical challenge like asthma, the stakes get higher and it can be even more difficult to succeed.
Nevertheless, it is still possible to lose weight when you have asthma and manage your weight.
There are a few strategic ways to handle it.
Diet
Many studies show ____ % of weight loss is all about diet. What you put in your mouth will make
a big difference on how much weight you lose. Make an intentional effort to choose lots of healthy
fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Include legumes, nuts and lean meats to complement healthy

Applying A Rolling Admissions Process
As mentioned earlier, when our prospect applies to the four selected colleges from Figure 6.4, they
will utilize the LSAC as mandated from each institution. That provides for straightforward
management of those applications with submission dates synchronizing with the University of
Florida the earliest one. That way, all institutions can be concurrently applied rather than piecemeal
this process. Anyway, it turns out that some of the law schools in question employ a rolling
admissions process where the institution can potentially notify applicants anytime inside a
window of an admissions decision. As a result, if all material checks for completeness and
accuracy, doesn t it make sense to submit all materials as early as possible?... Show more content on

To begin with, applicants must send official college transcripts using the Registrar at specific
points in the process; initially as preliminary transcripts, followed by periodic updates and finally
after graduation. Likewise, registrants having professional appraisals directed from third party
principals on their behalf utilize the Letter of Recommendation (LOR) and Evaluation services
ultimately bundling them with other CAS documentation. Figure 6.5 below provides a list of many
or most requirements and optional items that might accompany our prospect s applications,
including the transcript release forms for the Registrar and evaluation forms for individuals
writing assessments discussed above. They will, of course, vary per each school s admissions
instructions. Sometimes people spend so much time developing elaborate strategies and plans that
they overlook the obvious. An applicant should anticipate positive events just as diligently as
preparing for failure (via a Plan B). The significance of a rolling admissions process has the
potential for receiving notifications at different points in time. Understanding the acceptance/denial
protocols regarding the admissions process for each institution should not be disregarded. Another
aspect seeks to avoid waiting for a preference never materializing only to

Modus operandi consists of motives, methods of killing, signature, and more. When
investigators use the M.O to create a criminal profile, it becomes easier for them to predict the
killer s next move. Motives can either have a category of power driven, financial, or revenge
/mission based. Power driven killers tend to disable their victims in some way to have complete
control over them. Ted Bundy falls under the category of power killer. He spent years evading
police all over the country. His modus operandi consisted of standing on the side of the road with
a fake cast to get young women to help him (Norris 218). When they walked over to help him, he
incapacitated them and put them in his car. He removed the passenger seat from his car so he
could lay the bodies down without anyone seeing them in his car.
Many revenge killings take place because the perpetrator, wants to take their anger out on
someone who reminds them of the person they hate. One episode of Criminal Minds tells the
story of a man who kills blonde women who look like his overbearing wife. The Green River Killer

Women In European Art In The Late Middle Ages
Women in European art in the late Middle Ages
Nicholas Soares
Southern States University
Abstract
The women s role in the Middle ages art is a fascinating and controversial topic for many reasons.
Most of what happens remained in the darkness, due to the lack of sources and understanding of
the women social, economic and religious position during that time. In this paper we are going to
try to connect dots to trace a profile of the women impact in the arts during the Middle Age era.

The Media s Influence On Women
All media, including children s media, is telling of society s attitudes at the time. The attitudes
towards gender that manifest through female villains in children s cartoons are what will be
examined in this analysis. In text A, the trope of the female villain (Sedusa) as a lying seductress
is explored. Text B shows how the female villain Femme Fatale is portrayed as confrontational,
aggressive and man hating . Text C concerns the teenage villain Camille Leon, who is depicted as a
spoiled, shallow and materialistic Valley Girl stereotype. All of these villains are represented as
having unfavourable attributes that have been unfairly ascribed to women, or attributes that are

Good And Evil In J. R. Tolkien s The Lord Of The Rings
J. R. Tolkien makes it clear in his novel The Lord of the Rings that there is a never ending battle
the forces of good and evil. In the novel evil continues generate and spread in Middle earth, with
the dark conditions in which it flourishes also continuing to spread. The sources of good, or light
start to fade, making it easier to reject the power of lightand become consumed by the dark. The
expansion of the dark creates a sense of lost hope and a lack of faith that helped defeat the other
kingdoms in Middle Earth. In our world darkness symbolizes and creates a feeling of sadness
and defeat. Thus feeling of defeat can people to feel that evil is stronger and more powerful than
good. But Tolkien, does not believe that evil is stronger than good as he seems to believe that evil
can never overcome goodness.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To regain the goodness or light, is to remove whatever obscures it, such as Sauron s evil ring. In
Tolkien s world, Middle Earth, when the ring is destroyed, goodness and light is restored to the
world, illuminating the world as brightly as it was before. But as the journey of The Lord of the
Rings series tells, the overcoming of obstacles to regain light and goodness can be long, difficult,
and comes at a high cost. Even when the light is restored all of the damage caused by the evil
still lingers, sometimes even long after. The depiction of good versus evil in Tolkien s novel is
clear, the goodness is represented by light. The good characters having names such as Gandalf the
White, while evil is represented by the opposite. I argue that Tolkien depicts evil as darkness as he
uses dark imagery to represent evil things such as, shadows to represent evil

Research Paper On Glossophobia
Glossophobia a fear of public speaking is pretty common amongst people. Almost everyone
suffers from the fear of not performing well in front of others, at least to some degree. It is only
natural to feel scared because humans are wired to be concerned about what others think about
us. We get a sense of importance when we know other people admire and acknowledge the work
that we do. A perfect example of this is how and why we post the coolest things we do on
Facebook. We post things to please the audience of our posts. Or another way to put it, we post
on Facebook because we seek the validation of people viewing our Facebook profiles. This does
not necessarily build our confidence, but it simply goes to show that we all care about what
everyone else thinks about us, and that is not necessarily a negative quality. It is only natural to
feel so. In fact it is those people who care about what people think about them who end up being

Alfred Hitchcock Rear Window
Alfred Hitchcock s 1954 Rear Window is full of characterization, narratives and symbolism. The
film focuses around the main character of the story, Jefferies, who is a photographer but
unfortunately recently has to use a wheelchair and stay in an apartment because he broke his leg.
Jeff has to spend time alone, so he spends his time watching his neighbors through his camera.
Due to the warmth of summer most people had to open their window so now Jefferies can see
what is happening in their life. It s like he is watching multiple films at the same time. A free
cinema for Jefferies. The view of that window and Jefferies s apartment is all the viewers have.
We spent the whole time in the main protagonist s apartment. His apartment is in Greenwich
Village, New York City. The camera never leaves his apartment because Jeff can t leave his own
apartment. Which limits it to one room and the view out of his rear window. Alfred Hitchcock
really wants to put us in Jefferies s shoes, that s why the camera never leaves his apartment and
we are bound to see outside from his point of view. The camera man uses shots zooming, which
make the film look more realistic and makes it seem like we are viewing this through Jeff s
perspective. As the camera moves around some characters might go to the other side of their room
which has no window. This shows... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Ambition Vs Vanity
Philippians 2:3 4 says Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you
should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself. Each of you
should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well.
God has told us to focus on the humility of others and not our own. These days people are
devoting their lives to unholy things and events, instead of pouring their soul into something pure
and good for mankind. If we live life egotistical and greedy, people will separate instead of coming

So in order to meet the needs of both sets of individuals the enforcement rules were developed
through case law and then statue.
There are two very different systems of dealing with both unregistered and registered land. In order
to support the view that neither is superior to the other we must discuss why we have two different
sets of rules. The fundamental distinction between unregistered and registered land is that the basis
of title to unregistered land is possession, whereas the basis of registered title is the fact of
registration Within unregistered land, there is no register instead the owner of the land will have a
collection of deeds showing an different transfers proving the devolution of the title.
In order to be able to analyse the enforcement rules we must know what they are. The enforcement
rules which apply to unregistered land are stated in the Land charges Act 1972 which relate to the
individuals being required to register their interest over land so that I can be protected. The Law of
Property Act 2002 governs the enforcement rules regarding the registered titles. This requires the
compulsory first registration of their interest/title.

Pride And Prejudice And A Dolls House
In Pride and Prejudice and A Dolls House both stories have strong leading female characters.
Though in these stories due to the era in which they were set each female character acts different
than the other because of the cultural differences between the Victorian Era and The Regency Era.
For example in the Victorian Erawoman had not yet taken their rightful place in society, but in the
Regency Era romance, balls, and fine dining was there main objectives. One thing to say about
both Eras was your level in society held priority to almost anything and everything. Each story
takes place in a different Era and the cultural differences are outstanding. In Pride and Prejudice

The Fabrication Of Louis Xiv
In the introduction to The Fabrication of Louis XIV, Peter Burke expresses his ambition to
write a study of Louis XIV s public image as a whole and the changes it underwent throughout
Louis s reign. This book examines the relation between art and power and the official structures
responsible for making fabricating the image, or more appropriately, the images of Louis XIV, as
well as their contemporary reception. As the title suggests and as Burke himself reminds the
reader, the book as a whole focuses on the ideas of royal myth and royal narrative, and the
manipulation of information. Chapters two to eight follow each other chronologically, and
examine how the image of Louis XIV changed during his reign. Chapter two pays particular
attention to the different media used by the king and his image makers . This chapter is a good
introduction to the different styles and genres used to create royal images, for example by
comparing classicism and baroque and explaining recurrent allegories, metaphors and
commonplaces used in the representations of Louis XIV. Chapters two to four give us the
necessary background to understand the study of the relation between art and power in the time of
Louis XIV. Whilst in chapter three, Peter Burke concentrates on how royal representations respond
to contemporary events, he then is primarily concerned in chapter four with the construction of the
structures of glorification of the king. The reader is introduced to two key figures in

major impact on reader s perspectives and opinions. It can be the source of misunderstanding
and false information about the situation of a story. It can also be the main cause of controversy,
especially on topics that many people have strong opinions on and are passionate about. This is
why it is essential to hear both sides of a story to understand the situation. This is because; if
people with strong opinions on a topic read a one sided story, it could result in major controversy.

What can easily be tested by questions with wrong and right answers is not, typically, what is of
most interest and value in the literary text. From 1939 to 1945, literature becomes a political
safeguard against indoctrination and propaganda and as a way to know what others were thinking.
Literature is increasingly seen from 1945 to 1957 as only appropriate to advanced level study, to
which the student gains access after having mastered the linguistic structures carefully graded
through audiolingual methods, a pleasurable reward for the successful, and an entertaining
supplement to audiolingual drills . In the next period, roughly 1957 to 1979, culture becomes a
more important area of study and literature is seen as reflecting a particular culture. From 1979
until the end of twentieth century literature comes to be valued in the context of the rise of
communicative language teaching, as authentic text . Now literature gives the opportunity for
vocabulary acquisition, the development of reading strategies, and the training of critical thinking.
The learner is the most important in the communicative paradigm, the author, his or her intentions
tend to be forgotten and the language of the text is more an inconvenient obstacle on the way to
examination of culture and society, rather than central to those notions, and of interest in itself. A

The Case Of William Marbury Deserved The Commission Or Not
This case was a case for the ages that challenged the very decision of our newly elected president.
The former President Adam after a grueling election has lost and in order to maintain the legacy of
the Federalist, he began to appoint justices to the Supreme Court. These judges were appointed by
the president and confirmed by the Senate, but unfortunately for these justices, the letters that
confirmed the appointment never reached the potential justices. Adams was working quickly to
push the appointments through, but unfortunately he ran out of time and Jefferson took office.
Jefferson saw the appointment letters on his desk and discarded them. One of the potential justices
was William Marbury and he sued the president for his Supreme Court appointment. His goal was
to have the court to order a writ of mandamus, which if completed, would order a government
official to fulfil their official duties. The Chief justice presented three questions that needed to be
decided by the court. The first issue addressed was whether William Marbury deserved the
commission or not. The court opened the questioned if the law had a remedy for the situation. The
final question was whether the writ of mandamus the appropriate legal action in the case. These
questions were debated and the court confirmed that Marbury deserved the commission, but they
found that the Judiciary Act of 1789 which allowed the court to submit the very writ of mandamus
Marbury needed was unconstitutional. According

Introduction to Scientific Thought: Science Experiment Project

our favorite sweet treats. My wife is somewhat of an expert in the making of strawberry jam and
I dabble in desserts made with chocolate; strawberries dipped in milk, dark, and white chocolate
are my personal favorites. I am not a professionally trained chef and don t know much about how
foods react to and inter act with each other in a culinary or scientific manner, all I know is I really

The ICF-CY Analysis
The ICF is a standard language and framework to describe health and health related conditions.
(WHO, 2002, p.2) It focuses on function instead of the medical or disease specific diagnosis
(Guide to PT Practice, 2003, p. 6) According to Kisner and Colby, the ICF has two parts: the first
part is functioning and disabilityand the second part is contextual factors (p. 5) Functioning and
disability describes the changes that happens in our bodies structure and function. It also includes
the activities that a person does and how much a person can participate in life activities and
participation restrictions (Kisner Colby, 2012, p. 5) Contextual factors is further subdivided into
two which is environmental factors and personal factors. (p. 5) This includes our coping
mechanisms, behavior, age, assistive device, environment modification etc. The ICF also uses

The ICF CY documents and measures the health and development of children and the youth.
(WHO, 2007) Working in a pediatric facility, I can see the importance and the implications that
the ICF CY can do for our patients. Granted that the ICF has not been widely integrated for use
by healthcare practitioners like physical therapists, it has to be used so that it can become a
living document (Darrah, 2008, p. 151) By incorporating the use of ICF CY in our practice
especially in pediatric rehabilitation, it will help provide a common language (Darrah, 2008, p.
151) that educators, healthcare practitioners and families can understand. This will make most an
integral and contributing part in the care of our patients for making a comprehensive and realistic
project of life for the person with disability (Martinuzzi, De Polo, Bortolot, Pradal, 2015, p. 31).
Now, let us apply the ICF model to my

The Timeless Quality of the Foundations of Excellent...
Foundations of Excellent Leadership Are Timeless
Introduction
It is often said that a manager is what one does and leader is who one is. This is especially the
case during times of turbulent economic, social and political change. In the debate of whether the
effectiveness of a leader s communication skills is dependent on their age or generation, one must
take into account one of the most critical skills in any leaders skill set, and that is emotional
intelligence (EI) (Avolio, Yammarino, 2002). Great leadershipis timeless as it is predicated on
respect and motivation of subordinates and peers and subordinates, along with a very clear focus
on results attained through shared vision. It is the intent of this analysis to show that
transformational leadership is timeliness because it is predicated on principles applicable to each
generation. The impact of technology on leadership is to accelerate transparency and trust across
entire organizations when transformational leaders are driving progress to shared goals and
objectives (Bernoff, Li, 2008). Technology will amplify excellent leadership and shine a very
bright light on mediocre and inferior leadership over time (Gilley, Dixon, Gilley, 2008).
Analysis Of Transformational Leadership Across Generations
The core, foundational elements of transformational leadership are more predicated on Emotional
Intelligence (EI), charisma, communication and collaboration capacity than any topically driven or

Native American Imperialism
Some historical figures argue that a people stripped of its native culture is a people stripped of its
soul and identity. How might people be stripped of their culture? Imperialism and colonization are
the main argued ways a people are ripped from their culture. This is partly true. If a people were
stripped completely of their culture, then they would lose the soul and identity of their people, but
successful imperialism and colonization does not mean that the culture will automatically go away.
One can see this in Chinua Achebe s book Things Fall Apart, through the history of dream catchers,
the colonization of Hawaii, and after British control in India.

Great Britain colonized a lot of land, but a great example can be found in their conquest of India.
India was a great place for Britain to take over because of the of the great resources that it had to
offer. If you look closely, or give a general glance, at India, you can tell that British culture hardly
influenced the one they already had. A main difference you can see is the clothing that Indians
wear. Indian clothing is closely identified with the colorful silk saris worn by many of the
country s women. The traditional clothing for men is the dhoti, an unstitched piece of cloth that
is tied around the waist and legs. Men also wear a kurta, a loose shirt that is worn about knee
length ( Indian Culture: Traditions and Customs of India ). In Britain they don t wear the same
clothes as described. In the same passage it said that, India s culture is among the world s oldest;
civilization in India began about 4,500 years ago. Many sources describe it as Sa Prathama
Sanskrati Vishvavara the first and the supreme culture in the world.. ( Indian Culture: Traditions
and Customs of India ). To be one of the oldest cultures it still has to be around. You can t have the
oldest culture in the world if it disappeared with the European imperialization. India s culture is still

Disadvantages Of Leapfrogging Technology Innovation In...

Advantages of leapfrogging technology innovation in Nigeria
. Effects on Small medium enterprise (SME s)
Grace Chimezie for PPOL 786
Abstract
This paper views the effects of innovative technologies to spur ideas, using hack ways to find useful
alternatives to compete in the fast paced driven technological world.
Introduction
Mobile technologies and PC devices have played a key role in innovation and the business growth
of small scale businesses in Nigeria. In 2016 over 68% of the nation s population had access to
mobile phones and 93.75 million connected to the internet (Quartz Africa). Even as lower smart
phone prices drive a digital revolution in Nigeria, Nigerians still pay a significant amount of their
income to make phone calls or surf the internet.
There often remains a persistent and troubling gap between the inherent value of the technology
they develop and their ability to put it to work effectively. Successive Nigerian governments have
missed the mark as well as the thrust in the application of her potential for progress and poverty
alleviation except for few cases where implementation of policies by the Central Bank of Nigeria
(CBN) to reduce movement with physical cash and enforcing the adoption of Mobile banks called
(POS) machines.
Statement of the Problem
Nigeria suffers from high unemployment and a large portion of the population lives below the
poverty line. A significant number of the small and medium enterprises, which constitute over 80

China Labor Watch ( Clw )
CHINA LABOR WATCH Founded by labor activist Li Qiang in 2000, China Labor Watch (CLW)
is a powerful and independent non profit organization dedicated to protecting the workers rights in
China. With the support of the media and the labor organizations, CLW conducts deep
investigations and publishes the reports about the sub standard working conditions and wages in
factories in China. The reports not only create awareness among the world community, but also put
pressure on the corporations to improve conditions for workers.
Apple s Supplier Foxconn, came under intense scrutiny for its suspicious labor practices and
suicide by its fourteen young workers at the Foxconn Shenzhen factory in 2010, followed by the
explosion in Chengdu factory resulting in 3 deaths and sixteen injuries in 2011. In 2010 CLW
also reported about several violations of China labor laws based investigation collected through
off site interviews and from its own staff who had purposefully worked in Foxconn factories as
workers to gain real and accurate information. These reports puts a big question mark on the
supplier responsibility reports and standards set by Apple.
According to CLW, Apple is equally responsible for the China labor law violations and worker
suicides as its goal of profit maximization comes at the cost of brutal working conditions at foxconn
factories. This is because the quality and price of production material used in manufacturing is pre

his arrest 65 billion dollars was being shown on the financial statements. Bernie Madoff ran what is
by extreme measures the largest Ponzi scheme in world history. His investment company was
multinational and at its height handled more than five percent of the total trading volume on the

comparative assessment of an article that appeared in the Journal of Sports Media, Volume 3,
Number 1, Spring 2008 entitled Interactive Media and Sports Journalists: The Impact of
Interactive Media on Sports Journalists (Wigley Meirick, 2008). This analysis will focus on the

2010). These steps involve observation and the preliminary data gathering. Therefore, this
analysis will focus mainly on the introductory information and the literature review that the
analyzed study outlines in the article. Introduction In regards to conducting research for use in
business, much of the research is geared toward ultimately being used as the basis for decision
making. Therefore it is vital that the research follows a purely rational process to eliminate as
much subjectivity as possible in order to obtain the most effective results. The first step in the
research process begins with observation (Sekaran Bougie, 2010). Observation is the step in
which a significant amount of creativity can be used to identify potential research problems or

  • 4. A Case Study On South Florida Real Estate 7.A Case Study Let s imagine you have to sell a rather expensive condo in Hallandale Beach, Florida, which is essentially a middle class town right north of Miami with a splash of a luxury building here or there, and you happen to have this property for sale in one of those luxury buildings with the market price more than twice the average price around town. So, it is hard to think that a local interest would be extremely high, plus you know that a neighbor s apartment has been sitting on the market with a local real estate agent for a while without a good and solid offer, plus there is a bit of an issue with some banks to approve mortgages for this building. It is really time to think of reaching foreign investors in South ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The easiest and logical step is to search the Canadian field www.google.ca in English. Oh, no luck either, the competition is also very tough. French speaking Canadians from the province of Quebec love Florida and French at the same time. Searching Canadian Google in French for immobilier Г Hallandale Beach Floride (the translation that we got from the free online translator and consider correct, but who knows?) we can see not so overcrowded environment, no big names and no paid ads at all which means that you can be a good appealing choice for about five million French Canadians if they see your condo for sale in French posted by a French speaking Canadian realtor. It could be the way to go. Canadian real estate prices had never fallen along with American because of much stronger mortgage approval rules in Canada, and just a couple of years ago Canadians used to borrow against their expensive homes in Canada to buy cheap Florida homes for their future retirement with this cash. Now the Florida real estate prices are going up; also the Canadian dollar was equal to the American buck a couple of years ago, which is not the case anymore as the world s low oil prices ... Professor Orange City Institute of Higher Education, Nagpur Email: makarand1234@gmail.com; Mobile 9422805719 ABSTRACT: Distribution Channel Margins form an important component of the distribution cost which directly affects the bottom line of any company. While the companies are trying to reduce the distribution costs, to improve their own margin pressures, there seem to be little innovations in this area. The margins offered to the distribution channel members by most of the companies are fixed in percentage, which is directly proportional to the price of the product. Distributor s Cost: The above model does not consider the cost of running the business of the Distributor. Due to diverse nature of the Indian markets, cost of running a distribution business differs from market to market. Some markets may have higher concentration of retailers in few places whereas some markets offer scattered locations of retailers, thereby affecting the transportation cost. In highly populous markets, the speed of credit cycle may be high as compared to less populous markets, thereby affecting the working capital requirement. The congestion on the urban roads, distribution time, manpower requirement, average order quantity, etc. also need customized considerations. 3. Return on Investment: When the margins are standardized, the ROI calculation is totally dependent on the volumes of business. Executives often inflate the targeted volume of business to meet the ROI expectations of the distributors. Many times, such inflated targets are unrealistic and unachievable, resulting in loss to the distributor. This results in loss of trust and goodwill of the firm and higher attrition rate of the distributors. 4. Robertson Educational Planning Course Critical Issue Project Empire State CollegeMary Ellen Shaughnessy June 17, 2011 There has been a lot of commotion lately between both the scientific and religious communities in regards to this topic. The claims of Intelligent Extraterrestrial Life visiting the Earth in ancient times and profoundly affecting the development of Human civilization, is a controversial subject, at best. Suggestions of extraterrestrials (ancient aliens and ancient astronauts) visiting the Earth in the past is supposedly connected with the origins or development of human cultures, technologies and religions.... Looking at the Bible s story of Lot , also in Genesis, Von Daniken suggests that the two angels who visited lot were not actually angels, but ancient astronauts, who used atomic weapons to destroy the city of Sodom. Another ancient astronaut proponent and writer, Marc Dem, totally reinterprets the Book of Genesis by claims that humanity started on another planet, and that God of the Holy Bible is actually a spaceman. And, in stark contrast to popular belief, Jesus Christ, God s Son, is an Extra Terrestrial, because He is essentially not of this planet. Several chapters of the Old Testament have God depicted as travelling with clouds of smoke and fire, along with loud, trumpet like sounds. The Book of Enoch tells of flying objects and beings (the Watchers) that descended from Heaven to Earth. Enoch is said to have been taken on journeys around the Earth in these flying objects, and even travels to the heavens. In support of the A.A.T., many theorists say that the sightings of U.F.O. s throughout history are the actual creators of humanity who periodically, but in frequency, are returning to Earth to check up on their creations . Put aside the many proponent s depictions and interpretations of the ancient writings and artifacts, and there is no substantially hard evidence existing to support this ancient aliens/ancient astronaut hypothesis. For instance, the Chinese culture used the oil found in the plant for medical purposes. Medicine men would use it to treat menstrual fatigue, gout, rheumatism, malaria, constipation, absent mindedness and surgical anesthesia (Spicer, 2002). However, according to the Tao religion, cannabiswas noted to be considered a yin. Cannabis is regarded in contempt because it weakens the body when eaten (Spicer, 2002). Taoism considered only substances filled with yang, those that invigorate the body, as favorable (Spicer, 2002). Cannabis is also used medically in India s culture. Folk medicine often threw hemp into the fire to aid an individual into overcoming evil forces that afflicted them. Traditional providers used cannabis to treat congestion, diarrhea, and to cure fevers (Spicer, 2002). On the other hand, the African tribe used cannabis to treat snake bites, facilitate child birth, and as a remedy for anthrax, malaria, black water fever, blood poisoning, dysentery, and asthma (Spicer, 2002). Religion and the Use of Marijuana Most religions condemn the use of marijuana for recreational use. This book examines the relation between art and power and the official structures responsible for making fabricating the image, or more appropriately, the images of Louis XIV, as well as their contemporary reception. As the title suggests and as Burke himself reminds the reader, the book as a whole focuses on the ideas of royal myth and royal narrative, and the manipulation of information. Chapters two to eight follow each other chronologically, and examine how the image of Louis XIV changed during his reign. Chapter two pays particular attention to the different media used by the king and his image makers . This chapter is a good introduction to the different styles and genres used to create royal images, for example by comparing classicism and baroque and explaining recurrent allegories, metaphors and commonplaces used in the representations of Louis XIV. Literature is increasingly seen from 1945 to 1957 as only appropriate to advanced level study, to which the student gains access after having mastered the linguistic structures carefully graded through audiolingual methods, a pleasurable reward for the successful, and an entertaining supplement to audiolingual drills . Foundations of Excellent Leadership Are Timeless Introduction It is often said that a manager is what one does and leader is who one is. This is especially the case during times of turbulent economic, social and political change. In the debate of whether the effectiveness of a leader s communication skills is dependent on their age or generation, one must take into account one of the most critical skills in any leaders skill set, and that is emotional intelligence (EI) (Avolio, Yammarino, 2002). Great leadershipis timeless as it is predicated on respect and motivation of subordinates and peers and subordinates, along with a very clear focus on results attained through shared vision. It is the intent of this analysis to show that transformational leadership is timeliness because it is predicated on principles applicable to each generation. The impact of technology on leadership is to accelerate transparency and trust across entire organizations when transformational leaders are driving progress to shared goals and objectives (Bernoff, Li, 2008). Technology will amplify excellent leadership and shine a very bright light on mediocre and inferior leadership over time (Gilley, Dixon, Gilley, 2008). It was that day on June 2, 2015 when we accepted her into the family! She has been a great addition to the family. The veterinarian told us that she was about 2 to 3 years old at the time. She will not mind, but she does not like it when you shut her mouth. Lola will squirm and will want to leave you at that exact instant. A couple tricks we taught her are to sit and to go to her room when it is bedtime or when we have to leave the house. She is still not trained to go pee on a piddle pad, but that is a problem with all of our dogs, just as it is with pooing on the piddle pad. Apple s Supplier Foxconn, came under intense scrutiny for its suspicious labor practices and suicide by its fourteen young workers at the Foxconn Shenzhen factory in 2010, followed by the explosion in Chengdu factory resulting in 3 deaths and sixteen injuries in 2011. In 2010 CLW also reported about several violations of China labor laws based investigation collected through off site interviews and from its own staff who had purposefully worked in Foxconn factories as workers to gain real and accurate information. These reports puts a big question mark on the supplier responsibility reports and standards set by Apple.
