Islam And The Religious Beliefs Of Islam
Islam is an extremely pervasive and widely known religion that has greatly affected society and its
independent religious views. The Islam ideology and its numerous ideas rapidly and widely, and
quickly became a prevalent religion with significantly influential aspects and elements. For instance,
its focus on Allah, the Arabic word of God, as well as many other Islam spiritual aspects has taken
effect in many countries, and continues to influence many people as well as the religious ideas of other
spiritual paths. People gravitate towards the concept of how spiritual theory developed from a small,
insignificant community could have so rapidly become a renowned, crucial part of life for much of the
world s population. Retaining its emphasis on an uncompromising monotheism and a strict adherence
to certain essential religious practices,
Islam continues to influence society with its unique elements and divine inspired unity of mankind.
The numerous Islamic trade routes surrounding Mecca served as effective ways of spreading religious
Islam ideas through various routes and courses in which people could record
Islamic spiritual views. For example, in document A, main Islam areas such as Mecca and
Medina are in the center of many main countries and empires, such as the Byzantine Empire
Knight 2 and Persia. Because of Arabia s location, people could come to its Islamic areas by trade, and
see where Islam originated from as well as its diverse religious notions and intentions.

Nintendo Gamecube Research Papers
Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo Gamecube came out in 2001 and since then has gained a
huge following in the realm of eSports. The game consists of two players fighting for control over the
stage. When your opponent hits you with a move, your percent goes up by a specific amount and you
are knocked back. The next time you get hit, you get knocked back a little further. The object of the
game is to get the other player out of the box of the map. This basic concept produced a grassroots
community around the world that holds tournaments with anywhere from a dozen players crowded
around one CRT television to more recent grand scale tournaments held in stadiums with thousands of
entrants. As the community grew, it was clear that a few players stood out from the rest. These players

However, all of this changed with one swedish player, William Leffen Hjelte. Leffen is seen as the
villain of the competitive smash scene, mainly due to his rude and vulgar attitude in and out of the
game, but also because he did what no other player can do. Competitive smash was changed forever
when Leffen took out every god of melee and similarly when SFAT showed his major improvements
in 2016. Leffen s first win over a god happened at Apex 2014 when he beat Hungrybox, a Jigglypuff
player who was ranked 5th in the world at the time. This victory put the otherwise unknown Leffen on
the radar of the smash scene and began his journey to the top (Rogowski). The next god Leffen had his
sights on was Armada. Leffen, being a fellow swedish player, had faced off with him plenty of times
before but was never able to surmount the wall that is Armada; a player that has not dropped a set to a
non god in the last four years at the time. At the european tournament, Beast 4, Leffen suffered an
early loss to a player named Ice that sent him into the loser s bracket. However, Leffen

The Elements Of Social Institutions
Social Institutions: A social institution is an organised group with complex and integrated norms,
patterns, values, practises for the preservation of the society. The social institutions are the part and
parcel of a society and state at large. It is well established and structured pattern of behaviour
acceptable by the people as a part of culture. The term institution has been used by the sociologists to
define normative system that operate the basic areas of life: kingship, legitimate use of power,
distribution of goods and services, knowledge from one generation to other, relation with the
supernatural power. These areas of life frames the various social institutions namely, family,

institution, it is very essential that the group of people are united by the common interests and aims
which would help them to have a feeling of solidarity towards their institution. c) Having Norms: The
social institutions are formed by certain norms, rules and laws which has to be followed by all the
people in the social institution. These norms help in smooth functioning of the institution and
safeguards the existence of each member from any form of violation. d) Fulfilling some social need: It
is very important for any social institution to have an aim for itself and the aim is to fulfil the social
needs. The people who are a part of the institution have their social needs of care and protection etc
which have to be fulfilled by these institutions. e) Having Material Resources: The social institution

Dna Marker Research Paper
A DNA marker (size standard or a DNA ladder) is loaded into the first well of the gel. The fragments
in the marker are of a known length so it can be used to help approximate the size of the fragments in
the samples. The prepared DNA samples are then pipetted into the remaining wells of the gel. When
this is done the lid is placed on the electrophoresis tank making sure that the orientation of the gel and
positive and negative electrodes is correct. To separate the fragments, the electrical current is then
turned on so that the negatively charged DNA moves through the gel towards the positive side of the
gel. The distance the DNA has migrated in the gel can be judged visually by monitoring the migration
of the loading buffer dye. The electrical current is left on long enough to ensure that the DNA
fragments move far enough across the gel to separate them, but not so long that they run off the end of
the gel. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To visualize the DNA, the gel is stained with a fluorescent dye that binds to the DNA, and is placed on
an ultraviolet trans illuminator that will show the stained DNA as bright bands. The dye can also be
mixed with the gel before it is poured. If the gel has run correctly the banding pattern of the DNA
marker/size standard will be visible. It is then possible to judge the size of the DNA in the sample by
imagining a horizontal line running across from the bands of the DNA marker. The size of the DNA
can be estimated in the sample by matching them against the closest band in the

Essay On Red Panda
I think the red panda should be kept in the zoo because it is categorised as a vulnerable species. The
population of the red panda is fewer than 10,000, some say as few as a couple of thousand, remain in
the wild. Almost 50% of the red panda live in the Eastern Himalayas in China. The loss of nesting
trees and bamboo is causing a decline in red panda populations across much of their range because
their forest home is being cleared. Also, the red panda are often caught in traps and die even though
the traps were meant for wild pigs and deers. In addition, they are poached for their distinctive pelts in
China and Myanmar. To prevent further decrease in the red panda s population, they should be
protected, maybe in the enclosures. The captive population of red pandas provides a backup
population for the wild population. The red panda lives for 13.4 years in enclosures, while in the wild
the average lifespan is 8 to 10 years. Also, the gained knowledge about the panda s situation may
awake interest from visitors to the zoo to help save them. The red pandas live in the Eastern
Himalayas where there are a lot of bamboo. They eat the youngest, most tender shoots and leaves of
the bamboo plant which they like a lot. There are fewer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fortunately, their favourite bamboo species still thrives in parts of the Himalayas. Bamboo is very
high in indigestible fiber, making it very difficult to extract the nutrients, but is available in winter
when their other preferred foods (such as insects) are not. When food is scarce they can spend 13
hours a day looking for and eating bamboo. In colder temperatures, they slow their low metabolic rate
further and their thick fur allows them to conserve their body heat. Similar to pandas, it can be
assumed that red pandas started eating bamboo because in the glacial age, bamboo was one of the few
foods that the red panda did not need to compete

Essay On Identity In Othello
A change in an individual s perspective and identity can enrich an individual s sense of belonging.
Conversely, an individual s sense of belonging may be destroyed when a change in their perspective
and identity occurs. An identifiable example is Othello, wherein it is perceivable that his notion of
identity and strong sense of self is shattered. His calm and collective persona has become one that is
unstable and insecure which, in turn, affects his sense of belonging, particularly with Desdemona, and
position as a Venetian general. A demonstration of this concept is seen in Act 4 Scene 1 (Line 61 62)
where Iago exclaims There s many a beat then in a populous city, And many a civil monster. Within
the quote, Iago identifies animalistic characteristics through the use of animal imagery to compare
with Othello s changed demeanour. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He attempts to convince Othello that animalistic behaviour is of the norm in Venice, using the
metaphorical aspect that relates to Othello s collected persona that has metamorphosed into a mad and
unstable man, depicting Othello s downfall and changed perspective of self. His sense of belonging
has spiralled as he no longer trusts the woman he loved the most. A quote that further supports this
idea is found in Act 4 Scene 1 (Line 60) in which Iago states: A hornèd man s a monster and a beast .
Iago challenges Othello s sense of belonging through the animalistic imagery and metaphor. Othello
believes that it is his own fault he is not able to satisfy his wife s sexual desires and is dejected,
referring to himself as being the cuckold of Venetian society. The word horned alludes to figurative
horns that a husband grew to showcase his wife s infidelity, which brought about much chagrin and
humiliation to

Video Game Music Essay
The History of Video Game Music
In America, video game music is seen as one of the lowest forms of entertainment and its composers
are obscure and unknown to most of those who play the games, while in Japan, it is a major
component of their popular culture, and composers such as Koji
Kondo are treated like famed celebrities. Game music is still not widely considered an art form, and
yet the compositions have become as complex and sophisticated as arrangements for film and
television.
In 1958, engineer William Higginbotham at the National Laboratory made the very first video game
called Tennis for Two. In 1963, MIT student Steve Russell programmed the game Spacewar. In 1972,
Magnavox released the very first home ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1981, ATARI released their Pokey chip, which was a dedicated audio processor. Included in the
5200 home console2, the Pokey chip used four separate channels which controlled the pitch, volume,
and distortion values of each, allowing a four piece virtual band to perform for the first time. In 1983
the advent of MIDI
(Musical Instrument Digital Interface) allowed for composers to use up to 128 different timbres with
16 separate tracks, all without taking up precious memory space. Composer
Bobby Prince of the Id software company employed midi files in the popular Commander
Keen series. (Episodes four through six) The only problem with MIDI is that the quality of the music
varies with different sound cards. 2
In 1985, Nintendo released their first console, the Nintendo Entertainment
System. (NES). Although manufacturing was discontinued in 1995, Nintendo experienced enormous
popularity; 50 million consoles and 350 million games were sold. 2 Nintendo was talented at offering
difficult challenges for one s hand eye coordination, providing quality soundtracks, fast game play,
and a fun and exciting plotline that makes you want to play the game again and again. 2 An example
of such music is Battletoads. It s all about some toads that like to get into fights, and there are two
levels in the game in which they jump onto

Code Red In A Few Good Men
A person s decisions, whether they are following directions or are making their own choices, will
change their lives. The effect of a decision is played out in the movie A Few Good Men. In the movie,
Lance Cpl. Harold W. Dawson and Pfc. Louden Downey s decision to follow the orders of Col.
Nathan R. Jessup to perform a code red on Pfc. Santiago, a sub par marine , results in them
accidentally killing Santiago. Dawson and Downey are originally blamed for Santiago s death;
however, Lt. Daniel Kaffee is able to convince the jury to drop the charges of murder and conspiracy
to commit murder. Despite this, both Marines are given a dishonorable discharge for performing the
code red on Santiago (A Few Good Men). In Erich Fromm s article, Disobedience ... Show more

This subject is Bruno Batta who, in own Milgram words, has a tone [that] is differential and expresses
his willingness to be a cooperative subject (87). This in many ways is similar to how Downey
responds to the orders given to him. Downey is indifferent to what is being performed and only cares
about pleasing the person giving the orders, much like Batta who said, when the person being shocked
refused to continue, Sir, sorry it couldn t have been a full experiment (87). Downey, as shown in his
question of what they did wrong at the end of the trial, is clueless about what he and Dawson did
wrong, for he was following orders (A Few Good Men). Downey does not perceive that following
orders could be wrong. Milgram further explains upon this view by saying the essence of obedience is
that a person comes to view himself as the instrument for carrying out another person s wishes, and he
therefore no longer regards himself as responsible for his actions (87). Downey is incapable of
disobedience, as shown through Milgram s words, and he struggles to function without

Why Did A Golf Ball Grow So High Essay
Discussion:
From the information gathered from graph 1, we can see that each of the ball s bounce heights did not
vary significantly. Unexpectedly, the golf ball bounced the highest, smashing the tennis ball s results.
While each of the balls shared similarity in terms of their bounce height, the golf ball was the only ball
which bounced considerably higher than the others. The table tennis ball followed the tennis ball, but
the ball which achieved the least height was the baseball. There was a significant difference between
the bounce heights of the baseball and the golf ball
I believe that the reason of why the golf ball bounced so high was because of the material from which
it is made out of. As the golf ball hit the ground, its molecules ... Show more content on

This could have been improved if a clamp was used to hold the ball on the 1 meter mark, and if the

To ensure that the ruler is level to achieve an accurate result, a spirit level could be used. Even though
it may not make a difference when on a flat surface, it is always worth checking if you would like
your results to be as accurate as possible.
Conclusion:
The results from this experiment show that the elasticity of a ball does not affect its bounce height.
The golf ball was not as elastic as the tennis ball, but its results were much higher than that of the
tennis ball. The results in this experiment tell us that while elasticity does have some affect on the
bounce height of the ball, another variable is altering their bounce height. The information gathered

Meaning Of Music Meaning
In Music, Language, and Composition Adorno, Theodor W. argues that To interpret language means to
understand language; to interpret music means to make music. Musical interpretation is the act of
execution... (115). However, in The Souls of Black Folk, W.E.B Du Bois seems to point out that music
carries intention, history, and experiences. Music could be a way to share one s feelings and
experiences that could not be expressed with the same emotional impact if they were just told through
speaking. In other words, Du Bois seems to argue that music does have meaning and to understand
music is to be able to express the intention behind or in the music. It is important to note that Adorno s
focus of music in Music, Language, and Composition is primarily classical music and Du Bois focus
appears to be on music with lyrics. Therefore, music for Adorno had no explicit signifying words.
However, rhythm and tone exist in both cases.
In Music, Language, and Composition Adorno acknowledges that music is like signifying language in
many ways, from its structure to how it is formed. However, music is different from signifying
language because it does not have to be created with a solid intention or meaning. In signifying
language, the structure and combination of phrases to speech is, to some extent, strategic. The
formation of signifying language is strategic because the goal of the formation of the phrase is to
express something solid and with certainty as to what it s meaning is. The words that are selected and
the sentences that are formed from those words, were chosen and created because meaning needs to be
told to others in an accurate manner, so that they ll be able to understand that same meaning. As for
music, Adorno seems to claim that, contrary to signifying language, the intent of which is to
communicate a solid meaning, music does not need to have any firm goals related to meaning or solid
intentions. Instead, the musician will make the music vague because in making the music ambiguous,
the music will have the potential to link to multiple meanings that will vary based on the listener. In
other words, the listener will be the one to decide the meaning.
To add to this, when Adorno says, tthe whole is

The Timeless Power of Les Miserables
The Timeless Power of Les Miserables
The book Les Miserables, written by Victor Hugo in 1862, created a sensation throughout the world
(Royston and Schlesinger 2). That impression continued through theatrical productions and most
recently the musical, but the book contains greater detail and adds a deeper understanding of Hugo s
epic story than the movie or musical portray. Regretfully, few people in World society take the time to

Finally, the theme of Les Miserables still entices people in this decade. Dwight Hillis describes the

Accountants are able to determine the accrual accounting by focusing on the matching principle
(Finkler, Kovner, and Jones, 2007). With the matching principle organizations and businesses are able
to record expenses and revenues that were accumulated in the same year to match. Accrual accounting
is necessary because it gives a better explanation of expenses accrued annually. Cost principle The
cost principle is anything the business or organization purchases to get. For instance hospitals need
equipment. After buying brand new equipment over the years it will depreciate in value. The reported
value will be known as a net book value because of the change in cost over time (Finkler, Kovner, and
amp;, 2007). Objective evidence Due to mishaps with the cost principle and inconsistency of the
balance sheet, objective evidence is used. Objective evidence is providing proof objectively of
financially statements and expenses by different groups of individuals that are expected to agree
(Finkler, Kovner, amp; Jones, 2007). If a patient leaves the hospital with a device or surgery, knowing
how much in value the organization spent on the patient assets can help determine the precise amount
spent to receive it. Materiality Materiality relates to errors or discrepancies within the financial
information. Having a hospital to partner with another hospital and ask for help financial can affect the
partnership if the financial information is unclear

most common yet most difficult to recognize the seriousness of the concussion the athlete does not
lose consciousness and has only one transient or momentary confusion for less than 15 minutes

concussions are the most easily recognized as the athlete loses consciousness, either briefly or for

Persuasive Speech On Alien Invades
Have you ever read or watched a movie where aliens attack and invade and take over the world? If
you like that well then you should know that it s real. Not real in the way that there are actual aliens
but species are acting like aliens which means they are invasive. If we don t help solve the problem
then who else will? We are the only ones who can solve the problem. An example of an invasive
species taking over are alien invasions. In any alien invasion movie or book aliens come to a planet
invade it and try to take it over. That is pretty much what invasive species do. But instead of killing or
fighting for an area, they breed and eventually overpopulate that area which then pushes away other
species to live. This causes many native species to either go extinct or leave that area. This is exactly

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Prior to the liberalization of the telecommunication sector of Ghana s economy, the mobile telephony
sector of the economy was non existent. The only telecommunication service available to the populace
was limited fixed lines provided by the Ghana Postal and Telecommunication Corporation (GP

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
A close observation of the mobile telephony sector of Ghana reveals the looming of a heightened
competition, the research therefore seek to address following; 1. To examine competitive environment
of the mobile telephony sector? 2. Identify and analyze the strategies the various mobile operators
adopted in the wake of tight competition? 3. To examine the impact of these strategies on customer
satisfaction, retention and loyalty?
The purpose of this research is to understand the impact of the tight competition witnessed over the
past few years has on mobile operators and their customers and how customers have reacted to this
phenomenon. In my opinion the tight competition which has resulted in a price war between these
mobile operators goes to the benefit of mobile customers who have been underserved for long.
SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY
The focus of this research is on the impact of the marketing strategies adopted by mobile operators in
Ghana on their customers which makes it importance to individuals, the players in the market, and
corporate entities. Aside adding to the

Charter School Goals
Organizations and leaders are more successful when they have clearly outlined goals and objectives.
This has been a very large part of the current success of the charter school. As a board we have been
able to define and include in the charter application what the goals and objectives for the school are.
This has created a trust in the school and families are signing their students up in record numbers even
before the school is built. (Mahdinezhad, Bin Suandi, Daud bin Silong , Omar 2013) I strongly believe
in motivating others to be the best they can be and to use positive reinforcement to inspire those that
work for and with me. I try very hard to recognize the efforts of others and acknowledge those efforts.
In my work and volunteer work I don t have the ability to reward with any type of compensation or
incentive so being able to make others feel appreciated and needed is very important to my success.

Every year the students and host families I have changes but the schools and administrators stay the
same. In order to keep these relationships strong and to be able to continue to place students at these
schools I need to create and maintain a consistent program for the schools. That means working
closely with students and host families to help them understand the expectations and requirements at
each school. This has been challenging but has paid off as I have been working with the same schools
without issue for over five years. (Miller

Christmas Carol Analysis
Cesar Granda
E.G 121
When reading A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens you realize that Scrooge s childhood has a huge
impact on his adult life, his adult self is a mirror image of his child self, both in his emotions and
relationships. This becomes apparent when the ghost of Christmas past appears and takes Scrooge on
a journey back into his childhood days. His childhood really molds Scrooge into the person he
becomes later in life. Scrooge was a lonely and withdrawn child because he lost connection with the
only parent he had left after the death of his mother at childbirth. His father sends him away to
boarding school and refuses to allow the young Scrooge to return home. This disconnection from the
only parent he has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Is The Dichotomy In Relation To The Baptism In The Holy...
Introduction This paper will compare and evaluate the views of John MacArthur and Keith
Warrington, in relation to the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Particularly, focusing on their views as to
whether the baptism in the Holy Spirit takes place as a consequence of conversion or subsequently, as
a unique experience. Each author s views will be compared and evaluated using other academic
sources, with special reference to Biblical evidence. Finally, a clear conclusion from the evaluation
process will establish which argument is better founded Biblically.
The Initial Argument John MacArthur, a Cessationist, claims that at the moment of salvation all
believers are, baptised, indwelt and sealed with the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, MacArthur argues ...

The first part is found in John 20:22 and the second part is found in Acts 2:1 4. Warrington, claims that
a partial filling of the Holy Spirit was given in John 20:22, with a fuller filling given in Acts 2:1 4.
Furthermore, the first filling resulted in the authority to forgive and to withhold the forgiveness of
sins, whilst the second filling resulted in a more permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit (John 20:23,
Acts 2:4).
However, MacArthur counters this claim by stating that in John 20:22, the Holy Spirit was not given,
but only promised. Evidence for this counterclaim is provided in John 20:26, whereby eight days after
this, pledge to be filled with the Holy Spirit, the disciples are found to be locked inside through fear of
the Jews. Therefore, the disciples must have lacked the Holy Spirit s manifest power and presence,
proving that the Holy Spirit had not yet been given; a view supported by Köstenberger.
In order to evaluate Warrington s claim and to bring a conclusion to this argument it is essential to
analyse these passages in reference to other scholarly

The production process consisted of three major stages; spring production, ring production, and final
production and assembly (Figure 5). Ring production required 5 major steps. The first step consisted
of taking powdered PTFE and mixing it. Subsequently the mixture was placed in an oven where it was
pressed under high pressure to form the desired shape. The shaped pipe was then removed from the
mold and cooked in a sintering oven to harden it. After sintering, the sintered pipe was ground to the
desired size and specifications. The completed seal blank was then placed in the buffer inventory that
was maintained before the computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines. Blanks are machined to
customer specifications to create rings soon after receipt of the customer order. Spring production was
proprietary and only senior executives and the specially trained workers were allowed to enter the area
of the factory where springs were produced. Bal Seal senior management was convinced that the firm
had created a sustainable competitive advantage from the proprietary technology associated with
spring production. Consequently, intense security was applied to this production area to ensure that

Renal Microvascular Complications Of Type 2 Diabetes Essay
Renal Microvascular Complications of Type 2 Diabetes: Aetiology and Pathogenesis
Abstract
There have been a number of manuscripts reporting on the association of complications in type 2
diabetes with high glucose blood levels, high levels of C Peptide, high advanced glycation end
products (AGEs) and vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM 1) and oxidative stress.
In order to further investigate the aetiology and pathophysiology of renal microvascular complications
in type 2 diabetes, papers were reviewed through 2000 using the NIH PubMed Literature Search
System. Inclusion criteria were that manuscripts 1) be primary peer review research article; 2)
concisely explained, or investigated, the pathophysiology of renal microvascular complications in type
2 diabetes; 3) be published in English.
High blood glucose levels and enhanced oxidative stress, found in both clinical and experimental
diabetes, are thought to be the main cause of chronic diabetic complications.
Advanced glycation end products (AGEs) resulted to be strongly correlated to renal microvascular
complications via enhanced expression of adhesion molecules, including vascular cell adhesion
molecule 1 (VCAM 1).

Investigating The Heat And Heat Transfer
Introduction:
In day to day life it is very common to experience phenomenon s involving heat or heat transfer. For
instance, hand warmers used to warm fingers while skiing and ice packs used to reduce swelling of an
injury, involve heat exchange. What is responsible for this heat exchange? Looking at
thermochemistry may give an explanation. Thermochemistry is a branch of chemistry focusing on
heat. Specifically, it studies heat released or absorbed in a chemical reaction. 1 Reactions releasing
heat are referred to as exothermic, while reactions absorbing heat are endothermic. 2
Calorimetry, used in thermochemistry is, the science associated with determining the changes in
energy of a system by measuring the heat exchanged with the surroundings. 3 Calorimetry is carried
out with calorimeters, which measure heat transfer. 3 This experiment uses two types of calorimeters;
a homemade, Styrofoam calorimeter, and a market brand calorimeter. This Styrofoam calorimeter is a
less complex version of the market calorimeter and is used in some schools to save money. 4
Necessary features for a calorimeter include good insulation and little to no holes reducing heat loss to
the surroundings.
The goal for this experiment is to assess the usefulness of a homemade, Styrofoam calorimeter in
comparison to a market brand calorimeter when studying the energy and heat associated with chemical
reactions such as acid base and redox reactions. 4

Red Nightmare Influence On American Culture
America was once described as baseball and apple pie. The Cold War forced small town America to
choose between a simpler time and a new modernized age. The United States being a superpower in
the Cold War has locked horns with the Soviet Union over which form of government was best. The
struggle for power in both countries consisted of espionage, counter warfare, propaganda and a space
race. The Cold War had formed a new frontier of changes. The U.S. society had been divided.
Americans were having to choose between simple small town traditional values or future innovative
advances and cultural changes.
In the 1962 film, Red Nightmare illustrates a society of traditional mid town America. A place not in
the new frontier of changes. This movie demonstrates the consequences of not embracing the future. A
town that chose not to go forward. A society under communistic rule without constitutional rights.

March Madness is one of my favorite times of year! It would be an honor to cover March Madness!
Where are you from? Can you cover the Euroleague, International Leagues, and other foreign
basketball activities frequently?
I m from Connecticut, and I don t normally watch International leagues (except for the olympics), so
this could be a challenge.
Do you show bias towards playoff bound teams? Meaning can you cover low class teams such as the
Charlotte Bobcats?
Well like I said, I m a huge Heat fan and I love to debate so I wouldn t turn my back against them.
But, I can cover low class teams. In fact, I think the Bobcats have a lot of raw young talent. They have
Kemba, DJ Augustin, Tyrus Thomas, Gerald Henderson, etc. I think these fresh legs brings for an up
tempo fun to watch game, so I definitely think I can cover low class teams.

Being A Good Pitcher Essay
Often times people who end up being great are the ones who are willing to put in the hardest work.
Being a good pitcher involves doing little things to put yourself in the best position possible.
Stretching, throwing, running and being smart are all essential parts of being a great pitcher.
Stretching out my muscles prevents arm, back, and leg injuries because throwing a baseball is not a
regular motion for the arm. I start with leg stretches such as toe touches and squats. This will ensure
that my hamstrings and quadriceps are ready to begin tossing. Squatting and rotating back and forth is
a great exercise for the back muscles. Arm stretches are by far the most vital for a pitcher considering
that s where most injuries happen. Arm ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ten tosses from this position should get me loose enough to begin backing up. I throw about six to
seven throws at ten foot intervals. I back up to about one hundred and fifty feet or until I feel my arm
is extremely loose. One of the biggest mistakes made by pitchers is they don t work their way back
into their partner. I come back in throwing about three balls at each ten foot spot. Whenever I hit the
fifty foot mark, I began throwing a variety of pitches. For example, I ll throw fastball, changeup, and
curveballs. When I gain control over these pitchers, I go to the bullpen. In the pen, I always begin and
end with a fastball. I m ready to pitch in the game now. The most over looked aspect of pitching is
running. When I throw in a game, my arm becomes sore almost instantly. To try and defend against
this, I usually run immediately after and the days that follow my throwing. The day that I am pitching
is usually a light run of maybe a mile or so, but the next two days are long distance runs of fifteen
miles or more. A long run of constant arm moving helps my arm to break up the lactic acid that makes
my arm sore. This is one of the quickest ways to get rid of soreness and be ready to pitch again

Nocturia is when an individual has to frequently urinate in the middle of the night (Hall, Perry, Potter,
Stockert, 2017, p. 995). The client has reported waking up between two to three times in the night to
use the restroom. These frequent trips to the bathroom disrupts the clients sleep cycle and makes it
difficult to fall back asleep at night. According the patient s MAR, he has Benign prostatic hyperplasia
(BPH), an overactive bladder and chronic kidney disease. He is being treated with the medications
finasteride, tamsulosin and oxybutynin. Finasteride and tamsulosin are used to treat BPH. The
medication tamsulosin is also indicated for nocturia and acts by decreasing the contraction of smooth
muscle in the prostatic capsule (Deglin, Sanoski, Vallerand, p.1164). The patient takes oxybutynin in
the morning and night to treat his overactive bladder. Oxybutynin can also help treat nocturia and
works by inhibiting the action of acetylcholine at the postganglionic receptors (Deglin, Sanoski,
Vallerand, 2017, p.944). One of the interventions to help improve the clients sleeping pattern is to
speak to his physician about possibly increasing the dose of these medications or changing
medications to something that is more effective. The goal is to decrease the number of trips to the
bathroom the client has to

Dorothy Allison s Bastard Out Of Carolina
Illusions. Outside doors, they may portray a perfect family, but inside Bones home, the lights fade and

savagery, and the molesting of a child Bone; from her father, Glen. It shows the love of Anney and
Bone s relationship, and family intertwined. This book opened up my eyes to the violence in homes,
and living in a loving and safe home compared to Bone shows the divide in our living situations.
Behind every door is a new world, and every door tells a different story.
The story behind my door is the unconditional love my family and I share. Whenever I need help they
are there, whether it is for homework, or motivating me at performances for dance. I am grateful for
the support I receive from my family. Bone dreamed of a different family; The worst thing in the
world was the way I felt when I wanted us to be like the families in the books in the library (Allison

When Aunt Raylene and Bone were talking about the kids on the bus, Raylene says, You don t know

Essay about The Juggler
The Juggler
I want to believe in faith and risk and a world where you can stand beneath the grey October sky and
flash your own colours through the air like a magician (218 221, p. 6). These beautiful lines constitute
the final conclusion of the short story, The Juggler , written by Ursula Hegi and published in 2001.
The story deals with themes such as beauty, letting go and being stuck in the past.
The short story takes place in Coeur d Alene in the first weekend of October. An unnamed first person
narrator tells the story of her daughter, Zoe and her boyfriend, Michael who have come to visit her. It
is the first time she meets Michael, who is a counsellor at the school where her daughter teaches. They

Other times I felt like I were eleven and she thirty (ll. 91 92, p. 3). The mother almost bursts into self
oscillation when she tells Michael about her memories with Zoe. This could lead to the conclusion that
Zoe is used to taking responsibility for other people and, seen from a homespun psychological point of
view, perhaps likes the fact that Michael reminds her of her mother in the way that he needs her.
Another result of the mother s loneliness and dependency on her daughter is the fact that she cannot
let her go. She lives in the past and loves the memories of a time she refuses to leave, nor can she ever
leave it unless she accepts the fact that Zoe is now a grown up. She has her own life now. The bird has
flown.
So maybe she should just handle her over to Michael. After all he is not a maniac killer or anything.
He seems rather nice and Zoe really loves him, but the narrator simply is too jealous to be happy for
her daughter, Zoe turns, smiling at him with so much light in her eyes that I have to look away (ll. 74
75, p. 3).
The writer leaves, in a very discrete but intelligent and awfully interesting way, many symbols and
details for further interpretation. For instance, a visual description of the narrator has been left out.
Therefore, she appears as a set of thoughts, which on one side means that the events that take place in
the story often are

1700s Of Industrialization
Industrialization contributed to city growth in many ways. Industry not only changes a country s way
of living, it also transforms class struggles and social actions. During the 1700s 1800s industrialization
grew and had four major effects on how it contributed to city growth. The first effect of
industrialization was with working conditions. Back then the factories were dirty and dangerous. If
you went to work one day, there were high percentages that you could leave very injured or dead. The
most harsh place to work was the coal mines. Accidents, damp conditions, and the constant breathing
of coal dust made the average life span for a worker much shorter. However, no matter these
consequences it still brought in many new workers and

Hindu tradition has portayed that they lived in the mid slopes of Mount Sumeru in four different

  • 3. Nintendo Gamecube Research Papers Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo Gamecube came out in 2001 and since then has gained a huge following in the realm of eSports. The game consists of two players fighting for control over the stage. When your opponent hits you with a move, your percent goes up by a specific amount and you are knocked back. The next time you get hit, you get knocked back a little further. The object of the game is to get the other player out of the box of the map. This basic concept produced a grassroots community around the world that holds tournaments with anywhere from a dozen players crowded around one CRT television to more recent grand scale tournaments held in stadiums with thousands of entrants. As the community grew, it was clear that a few players stood out from the rest. These players ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, all of this changed with one swedish player, William Leffen Hjelte. Leffen is seen as the villain of the competitive smash scene, mainly due to his rude and vulgar attitude in and out of the game, but also because he did what no other player can do. Competitive smash was changed forever when Leffen took out every god of melee and similarly when SFAT showed his major improvements in 2016. Leffen s first win over a god happened at Apex 2014 when he beat Hungrybox, a Jigglypuff player who was ranked 5th in the world at the time. This victory put the otherwise unknown Leffen on the radar of the smash scene and began his journey to the top (Rogowski). The next god Leffen had his sights on was Armada. Leffen, being a fellow swedish player, had faced off with him plenty of times before but was never able to surmount the wall that is Armada; a player that has not dropped a set to a non god in the last four years at the time. At the european tournament, Beast 4, Leffen suffered an early loss to a player named Ice that sent him into the loser s bracket. However, Leffen ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Dna Marker Research Paper A DNA marker (size standard or a DNA ladder) is loaded into the first well of the gel. The fragments in the marker are of a known length so it can be used to help approximate the size of the fragments in the samples. The prepared DNA samples are then pipetted into the remaining wells of the gel. When this is done the lid is placed on the electrophoresis tank making sure that the orientation of the gel and positive and negative electrodes is correct. To separate the fragments, the electrical current is then turned on so that the negatively charged DNA moves through the gel towards the positive side of the gel. The distance the DNA has migrated in the gel can be judged visually by monitoring the migration of the loading buffer dye. The electrical current is left on long enough to ensure that the DNA fragments move far enough across the gel to separate them, but not so long that they run off the end of the gel. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To visualize the DNA, the gel is stained with a fluorescent dye that binds to the DNA, and is placed on an ultraviolet trans illuminator that will show the stained DNA as bright bands. The dye can also be mixed with the gel before it is poured. If the gel has run correctly the banding pattern of the DNA marker/size standard will be visible. It is then possible to judge the size of the DNA in the sample by imagining a horizontal line running across from the bands of the DNA marker. The size of the DNA can be estimated in the sample by matching them against the closest band in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Essay On Red Panda I think the red panda should be kept in the zoo because it is categorised as a vulnerable species. The population of the red panda is fewer than 10,000, some say as few as a couple of thousand, remain in the wild. Almost 50% of the red panda live in the Eastern Himalayas in China. The loss of nesting trees and bamboo is causing a decline in red panda populations across much of their range because their forest home is being cleared. Also, the red panda are often caught in traps and die even though the traps were meant for wild pigs and deers. In addition, they are poached for their distinctive pelts in China and Myanmar. To prevent further decrease in the red panda s population, they should be protected, maybe in the enclosures. The captive population of red pandas provides a backup population for the wild population. The red panda lives for 13.4 years in enclosures, while in the wild the average lifespan is 8 to 10 years. Also, the gained knowledge about the panda s situation may awake interest from visitors to the zoo to help save them. The red pandas live in the Eastern Himalayas where there are a lot of bamboo. They eat the youngest, most tender shoots and leaves of the bamboo plant which they like a lot. There are fewer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Fortunately, their favourite bamboo species still thrives in parts of the Himalayas. Bamboo is very high in indigestible fiber, making it very difficult to extract the nutrients, but is available in winter when their other preferred foods (such as insects) are not. When food is scarce they can spend 13 hours a day looking for and eating bamboo. In colder temperatures, they slow their low metabolic rate further and their thick fur allows them to conserve their body heat. Similar to pandas, it can be assumed that red pandas started eating bamboo because in the glacial age, bamboo was one of the few foods that the red panda did not need to compete ... • 7. Essay On Identity In Othello A change in an individual s perspective and identity can enrich an individual s sense of belonging. Conversely, an individual s sense of belonging may be destroyed when a change in their perspective and identity occurs. An identifiable example is Othello, wherein it is perceivable that his notion of identity and strong sense of self is shattered. His calm and collective persona has become one that is unstable and insecure which, in turn, affects his sense of belonging, particularly with Desdemona, and position as a Venetian general. A demonstration of this concept is seen in Act 4 Scene 1 (Line 61 62) where Iago exclaims There s many a beat then in a populous city, And many a civil monster. Within the quote, Iago identifies animalistic characteristics through the use of animal imagery to compare with Othello s changed demeanour. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He attempts to convince Othello that animalistic behaviour is of the norm in Venice, using the metaphorical aspect that relates to Othello s collected persona that has metamorphosed into a mad and unstable man, depicting Othello s downfall and changed perspective of self. His sense of belonging has spiralled as he no longer trusts the woman he loved the most. A quote that further supports this idea is found in Act 4 Scene 1 (Line 60) in which Iago states: A hornèd man s a monster and a beast . Iago challenges Othello s sense of belonging through the animalistic imagery and metaphor. Othello believes that it is his own fault he is not able to satisfy his wife s sexual desires and is dejected, referring to himself as being the cuckold of Venetian society. The word horned alludes to figurative horns that a husband grew to showcase his wife s infidelity, which brought about much chagrin and humiliation to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Video Game Music Essay The History of Video Game Music In America, video game music is seen as one of the lowest forms of entertainment and its composers are obscure and unknown to most of those who play the games, while in Japan, it is a major component of their popular culture, and composers such as Koji Kondo are treated like famed celebrities. Game music is still not widely considered an art form, and yet the compositions have become as complex and sophisticated as arrangements for film and television. In 1958, engineer William Higginbotham at the National Laboratory made the very first video game called Tennis for Two. In 1963, MIT student Steve Russell programmed the game Spacewar. In 1972, Magnavox released the very first home ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In 1981, ATARI released their Pokey chip, which was a dedicated audio processor. Included in the 5200 home console2, the Pokey chip used four separate channels which controlled the pitch, volume, and distortion values of each, allowing a four piece virtual band to perform for the first time. In 1983 the advent of MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) allowed for composers to use up to 128 different timbres with 16 separate tracks, all without taking up precious memory space. Composer Bobby Prince of the Id software company employed midi files in the popular Commander Keen series. (Episodes four through six) The only problem with MIDI is that the quality of the music varies with different sound cards. 2 In 1985, Nintendo released their first console, the Nintendo Entertainment System. The effect of a decision is played out in the movie A Few Good Men. In the movie, Lance Cpl. Harold W. Dawson and Pfc. Louden Downey s decision to follow the orders of Col. Nathan R. Jessup to perform a code red on Pfc. Santiago, a sub par marine , results in them accidentally killing Santiago. Dawson and Downey are originally blamed for Santiago s death; however, Lt. • 10. Why Did A Golf Ball Grow So High Essay Discussion: From the information gathered from graph 1, we can see that each of the ball s bounce heights did not vary significantly. Unexpectedly, the golf ball bounced the highest, smashing the tennis ball s results. While each of the balls shared similarity in terms of their bounce height, the golf ball was the only ball which bounced considerably higher than the others. The table tennis ball followed the tennis ball, but the ball which achieved the least height was the baseball. There was a significant difference between the bounce heights of the baseball and the golf ball I believe that the reason of why the golf ball bounced so high was because of the material from which it is made out of. Even though it may not make a difference when on a flat surface, it is always worth checking if you would like your results to be as accurate as possible. Conclusion: The results from this experiment show that the elasticity of a ball does not affect its bounce height. The golf ball was not as elastic as the tennis ball, but its results were much higher than that of the tennis ball. • 11. Meaning Of Music Meaning In Music, Language, and Composition Adorno, Theodor W. argues that To interpret language means to understand language; to interpret music means to make music. Musical interpretation is the act of execution... (115). However, in The Souls of Black Folk, W.E.B Du Bois seems to point out that music carries intention, history, and experiences. Music could be a way to share one s feelings and experiences that could not be expressed with the same emotional impact if they were just told through speaking. In other words, Du Bois seems to argue that music does have meaning and to understand music is to be able to express the intention behind or in the music. It is important to note that Adorno s focus of music in Music, Language, and Composition is primarily classical music and Du Bois focus appears to be on music with lyrics. Therefore, music for Adorno had no explicit signifying words. However, rhythm and tone exist in both cases. In Music, Language, and Composition Adorno acknowledges that music is like signifying language in many ways, from its structure to how it is formed. However, music is different from signifying language because it does not have to be created with a solid intention or meaning. In signifying language, the structure and combination of phrases to speech is, to some extent, strategic. The formation of signifying language is strategic because the goal of the formation of the phrase is to express something solid and with certainty as to what it s meaning is. The words that are selected and the sentences that are formed from those words, were chosen and created because meaning needs to be told to others in an accurate manner, so that they ll be able to understand that same meaning. As for music, Adorno seems to claim that, contrary to signifying language, the intent of which is to communicate a solid meaning, music does not need to have any firm goals related to meaning or solid intentions. Instead, the musician will make the music vague because in making the music ambiguous, the music will have the potential to link to multiple meanings that will vary based on the listener. In other words, the listener will be the one to decide the meaning. To add to this, when Adorno says, tthe whole is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Looking at thermochemistry may give an explanation. Thermochemistry is a branch of chemistry focusing on heat. Specifically, it studies heat released or absorbed in a chemical reaction. 1 Reactions releasing heat are referred to as exothermic, while reactions absorbing heat are endothermic. 2 Calorimetry, used in thermochemistry is, the science associated with determining the changes in energy of a system by measuring the heat exchanged with the surroundings. 3 Calorimetry is carried out with calorimeters, which measure heat transfer. 3 This experiment uses two types of calorimeters; a homemade, Styrofoam calorimeter, and a market brand calorimeter. This Styrofoam calorimeter is a less complex version of the market calorimeter and is used in some schools to save money. 4 Necessary features for a calorimeter include good insulation and little to no holes reducing heat loss to the surroundings. • 31. Being A Good Pitcher Essay Often times people who end up being great are the ones who are willing to put in the hardest work. Being a good pitcher involves doing little things to put yourself in the best position possible. Stretching, throwing, running and being smart are all essential parts of being a great pitcher. Stretching out my muscles prevents arm, back, and leg injuries because throwing a baseball is not a regular motion for the arm. I start with leg stretches such as toe touches and squats. This will ensure that my hamstrings and quadriceps are ready to begin tossing. Squatting and rotating back and forth is a great exercise for the back muscles. Arm stretches are by far the most vital for a pitcher considering that s where most injuries happen. Arm ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ten tosses from this position should get me loose enough to begin backing up. I throw about six to seven throws at ten foot intervals. I back up to about one hundred and fifty feet or until I feel my arm is extremely loose. One of the biggest mistakes made by pitchers is they don t work their way back into their partner. I come back in throwing about three balls at each ten foot spot. Whenever I hit the fifty foot mark, I began throwing a variety of pitches. For example, I ll throw fastball, changeup, and curveballs. When I gain control over these pitchers, I go to the bullpen. In the pen, I always begin and end with a fastball. I m ready to pitch in the game now. The most over looked aspect of pitching is running. When I throw in a game, my arm becomes sore almost instantly. To try and defend against this, I usually run immediately after and the days that follow my throwing. The day that I am pitching is usually a light run of maybe a mile or so, but the next two days are long distance runs of fifteen miles or more. A long run of constant arm moving helps my arm to break up the lactic acid that makes my arm sore. This is one of the quickest ways to get rid of soreness and be ready to pitch again ... Nocturia is when an individual has to frequently urinate in the middle of the night (Hall, Perry, Potter, Stockert, 2017, p. 995). The client has reported waking up between two to three times in the night to use the restroom. These frequent trips to the bathroom disrupts the clients sleep cycle and makes it difficult to fall back asleep at night. According the patient s MAR, he has Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), an overactive bladder and chronic kidney disease. He is being treated with the medications finasteride, tamsulosin and oxybutynin. Finasteride and tamsulosin are used to treat BPH. The medication tamsulosin is also indicated for nocturia and acts by decreasing the contraction of smooth muscle in the prostatic capsule (Deglin, Sanoski, Vallerand, p.1164). The patient takes oxybutynin in the morning and night to treat his overactive bladder. Oxybutynin can also help treat nocturia and works by inhibiting the action of acetylcholine at the postganglionic receptors (Deglin, Sanoski, Vallerand, 2017, p.944). One of the interventions to help improve the clients sleeping pattern is to speak to his physician about possibly increasing the dose of these medications or changing medications to something that is more effective. • 34. Dorothy Allison s Bastard Out Of Carolina Illusions. Outside doors, they may portray a perfect family, but inside Bones home, the lights fade and the family is breaking. When reading Bastard Out of Carolina by Dorothy Allison; it shows brutality, savagery, and the molesting of a child Bone; from her father, Glen. It shows the love of Anney and Bone s relationship, and family intertwined. This book opened up my eyes to the violence in homes, and living in a loving and safe home compared to Bone shows the divide in our living situations. Behind every door is a new world, and every door tells a different story. The story behind my door is the unconditional love my family and I share. Whenever I need help they are there, whether it is for homework, or motivating me at performances for dance. I am grateful for the support I receive from my family. Bone dreamed of a different family; The worst thing in the world was the way I felt when I wanted us to be like the families in the books in the library (Allison 209). This taught me the world is imperfect. All Bone wants is love, and she is in an arduous situation. When Aunt Raylene and Bone were talking about the kids on the bus, Raylene says, You don t know what happens to them when they go home (Allison 262). This is a lesson Allison tries to convey in her book. To me, it is how families have different stories in their homes and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 35. Essay about The Juggler The Juggler I want to believe in faith and risk and a world where you can stand beneath the grey October sky and flash your own colours through the air like a magician (218 221, p. 6). These beautiful lines constitute the final conclusion of the short story, The Juggler , written by Ursula Hegi and published in 2001. The story deals with themes such as beauty, letting go and being stuck in the past. The short story takes place in Coeur d Alene in the first weekend of October. An unnamed first person narrator tells the story of her daughter, Zoe and her boyfriend, Michael who have come to visit her. It is the first time she meets Michael, who is a counsellor at the school where her daughter teaches. They go to the cinema and on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Other times I felt like I were eleven and she thirty (ll. 91 92, p. 3). The mother almost bursts into self oscillation when she tells Michael about her memories with Zoe. This could lead to the conclusion that Zoe is used to taking responsibility for other people and, seen from a homespun psychological point of view, perhaps likes the fact that Michael reminds her of her mother in the way that he needs her. Another result of the mother s loneliness and dependency on her daughter is the fact that she cannot let her go. She lives in the past and loves the memories of a time she refuses to leave, nor can she ever leave it unless she accepts the fact that Zoe is now a grown up. She has her own life now. The bird has flown. So maybe she should just handle her over to Michael. After all he is not a maniac killer or anything. He seems rather nice and Zoe really loves him, but the narrator simply is too jealous to be happy for her daughter, Zoe turns, smiling at him with so much light in her eyes that I have to look away (ll. 74 75, p. 3). The writer leaves, in a very discrete but intelligent and awfully interesting way, many symbols and details for further interpretation. For instance, a visual description of the narrator has been left out. Therefore, she appears as a set of thoughts, which on one side means that the events that take place in the story often are ... Industry not only changes a country s way of living, it also transforms class struggles and social actions. During the 1700s 1800s industrialization grew and had four major effects on how it contributed to city growth. The first effect of industrialization was with working conditions. Back then the factories were dirty and dangerous. If you went to work one day, there were high percentages that you could leave very injured or dead. The most harsh place to work was the coal mines. Accidents, damp conditions, and the constant breathing of coal dust made the average life span for a worker much shorter. Hindu tradition has portayed that they lived in the mid slopes of Mount Sumeru in four different directions guarding the Buddha whilst the latter meditated against possible interference from evil forces.
