automatic functions.
Some problems that you may encounter when creating documents and not take advantage of the
automatic functions could be:
That you may input the wrong information, in as far as a phone number or address details. If these are
stored or only inputted once as a header and footer then there is consistency in the formatting of the
details and the chance of the information being incorrect is limited
Without using table headers then are unable to tell what the information under them is related to. It
makes for a very clear and concise table that is clearly labelled and neat and tidy.
Auto text allows you have consistency in your document and formatting the shortcuts allows for a

Is Dr. Horrible Really an Evil Character Essay
Dr. Horrible Dr. Horrible may portray the antagonist in Joss Whedon s mini series Dr. Horrible and the
Sing along Blog but he does not actually act evil. As you listen to Dr. Horrible talk on his blog he
comes across as a normal guy; you almost could not take him seriously with his talk of evil and
certainly not a killer. When Dr. Horrible is answering all of his fan mail the letters are filled with
sarcasm and questions asking him why he has not succeeded in any of his plans. If he truly was a cold
hearted killer he would not get fan mail, he would not have viewers, and he most definitely would
never fail to succeed in plans of evil. Dr. Horrible himself even states that he just cannot get into the
Evil League of Evil because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The van suddenly goes out of control and Penny just happens to be in the way. Dr. Horrible was able
to stop the van from running Penny over but to her it seemed Captain Hammer stopped the van just in
time and that it was fate. This is the first occurrence that goes to change Dr. Horrible and his plan. He
never meant to hurt anyone in the first place but now Captain Hammer is taking Penny away from him
before he even had the chance to tell her how he truly felt. He feels as if his Hopes and dreams are
crashing into the ground. And that the evil in him is on the rise . His plan becomes more desperate as
he feels he is running out of time and options and chances to finally tell Penny, if Dr. Horrible truly
was an evil killer you would NOT like someone like Penny. She is the complete opposite of evil; this
would mean that Dr. Horrible has good in him because how could he relate to someone that was not
evil at all? When Dr. Horrible runs into Captain Hammer at the Laundromat he discovers that Captain
Hammer does not like Penny nearly as much as he does, in fact he tells Dr. Horrible that he will sleep
with Penny just out of spite. That was the breaking point, after hearing that Dr. Horrible was SO mad
that he would hurt penny like that he thought it was only just that he got rid of Captain Hammer for
good. Dr. Horrible receives yet another letter in the mail from Bad Horse stating that he must use
assassination to complete his

The Measure Of Concealed Weapons Onto College Campuses
The ability to carry concealed weapons onto college campuses has always been an area of contention.
In 1990, Congress passed the Clery Act which created gun free zones in primary and secondary
schools. Around that same time many states passed laws prohibiting weapons on college campuses as
well. (Lyons, 2017) In recent years there has been a stronger focus on college related shootings and
deaths which has re ignited the conversation regards concealed weapons on college campuses. The
most prominent political value that is in conflict with itself is freedom. The 2nd Amendment of the
United States Constitution grants citizens the right to bear arms. Many gun rights activists believe that
the right to carry weapons onto college campuses is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For opponents of concealed carry on campuses, they argue that by having guns on college campuses,
they are less free. Freedom is so ambiguous because it is completely subjective to every individual.
What makes one individual feel free might make another individual terrified. Another political value
that is in conflict with itself is security. People who are for concealed carry at universities claim that it
would be for their security. Since 2002, 64 people have been killed in mass shootings on college
campuses. (Lyons, 2016) One individual is quoted as saying that The only way to stop a bad guy with
a gun is with a good guy with a gun. (Lyons, 2017) This quote conveys the feelings of many concealed
carry supporters who say that they do not feel safe being restricted as to where they can and cannot
carry their personal weapon. Opponents of this idea claim that allowing guns on college campuses
would conflict with their own personal safety. Many say that the more weapons we have on college
campuses, the more likely an attack or accident is to happen. An idea that has been tossed around
would be to allow only faculty and staff to carry concealed weapons. However, opponents still have
some hesitations. Daniel Webster of Johns Hopkins University stated that if faculty and staff were
permitted to bring guns onto college campuses, there should be ... strict rules and protocols for

An Essay On Ignorance Is Ignorance
Ignorance is bliss. That s how I took it when I used to read biographies of great human beings, where
in most of the cases, people always used to ignore them at the first place until any great invention took
place and they were the hero behind it. That s when I categorized people into two divisions: (a).
people who live to make a difference, great and creative people like scientists, programmers or artists
and people of this type; (b). people who just live their life typically and rely upon other people s life
changing inventions. I was going through my teen age, and that thought just changed my point of view
to everything, from religion to the computer operating system that I used to use. I was inspired to be
different than the other typical people around me and try to make a difference. Eventually, I ended up
thinking differently, trying out different methods of doing things, like trying to solve a math problem

Retaliation In Slavery
Question: How does Retaliation affect the British and the Colonists? In our study of the Revolutionary
War Era, we engaged in some pre Rev War work, with the events leading up to the Revolutionary War,
then went into Historical Fiction book clubs, watched and discussed the Sons of Liberty and through
all of this I have come to believe that... One of the ways I have seen Retaliation throughout my notes
is in Sons of Liberty . For example, After the Boston Tea Party, the British retaliated by killing
multiple colonists in the village, and whipping Sam Adams. Next, After the colonists stole the gun
powder from the British, The british than declared war and killed multiple americans. My third piece

Looking through history, I ve noticed that riots and protests now, are close to the riots and protests
back in the late 1700 s. For example, Now there are women s rights protests and african american

George had this idea to teach the colonists a lesson. They levied taxes, and didn t listen to the colonists
complaints. The colonists got angry and retaliated with a war called The War of Independence.
Although this was different to the Revolutionary War, it was one of the many events leading up to it. I
am starting to think my book My Brother Sam is Dead , relates to Beth s book Glory Field because In

Nelson Mandel An Effective Method Of Ending Apartheid
Nelson Mandela s contribution to the destruction of apartheid in South Africa is unparalleled. He
dedicated every action of his life to unify a sectioned South Africa that showed no signs of
reformation. One of the major characteristics of Mandela s movement in particular was the notion of
unification through nonviolence. Throughout South Africa, the apartheid system was strict and
unforgiving. The origins of apartheid lied within denying blacks any political power, or any
participation in government whatsoever. From this, the National Party established a system of racial
segregation that strictly adhered to White Africans. The apartheid system was law, and was
aggressively enforced through physical and political abuse towards black South Africans. Any
opposition to the apartheid system endangered the lives of all who participated. Naturally, black South
Africans would eventually take action against the poor treatment of their superiors. However the most
important characteristic of a revolt are the principals on which it is structured. The Nonviolence
Campaign was the most effective method of ending apartheid in South Africa. Peaceful opposition
prevented unnecessary loss of life, stayed true to the original principals and morals of abolitionists,
and prevented the movement itself from falling to hypocrisy. At an early age, Nelson Mandela
recognized the importance of nonviolent protest and what it symbolized within a movement. It is
important to understand nonviolence as

Christmas Child Reflection
Operation Christmas Child has been a part of more than half of my life. I started volunteering when I
was eight at a family friend s church. However, the only reason I volunteered was because I needed
community service hours for school. I always secretly wished to be put in the packing group since it
had the least leadership role because I never wanted to be a leader. What I did not know at that time,
was those years before high school were preparing me for what God had in store for me. When I
started my freshman year in high school, I still had to do community service. This led me to continue
doing Operation Christmas Child. I was now volunteering at my school, Trinity Christian High School
along with my athletic director, Mr. Fitz, who was in charge of running it. Even though this was taking
place somewhere else, I expected that I would still be able to have a role not involving leadership.
This was not the case because Mr. Fitz had something else in store for me. He assigned to me the role
of the log sheets, which included talking to people, writing down the amount of boxes were dropped
off, and making sure the logs were neat and correct. I was very nervous to take on this role, so much
that I would start to shake causing me to get anxious and start sweating right before I would have to
talk to someone. There was a routine I went through every time. Hello, have you dropped boxes off
here before? I asked. Yes, I have a school teacher said. Great, what church or

Harry Potter And Grendel Research Paper
I was an only child for much of my childhood and we moved around a lot, so while I was growing up,
books were my constant and usually only friends. The books I ve selected for my bookshelf are what I
feel my progression in taste of books looks like in relation to my personal growth.
I included Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban because it s my favorite out of the entire series,
both book and movie. Harry Potter was such a huge part of my life while I was growing up. It was this
universal cultural phenomenon that I was so excited to be part of. I grew up reading the series and
being so excited every time the next movie or the next book came out and I sorely regret not attending
a Harry Potter premiere when I had the chance.
Notes from Underground and Grendel were books that were assigned reading in high school but that I
greatly enjoyed. Grendel had such an impact on me and it s still my absolute favorite book of all time.
I cite Grendel as the starting point of my foray into existentialism and philosophy in general. Grendel
has that simple yet profound language that really resonates with me. Existentialism is a Humanism

Essay Cloning Madness
Cloning Madness
Cloning, a topic that has recently caused mayhem all over the world, is possible, but will it be here to
stay? The astonishing news that scientists had cloned a sheep a couple of years ago sent people into
panic at the thought that humans might be next. Cloning is a radical challenge to the most fundamental
laws of biology, so it s not unreasonable to be concerned that it might threaten human society and
dignity (Macklin 64). Since most of the opposition is coming from the pure disgust of actually being
able to clone species, it makes it difficult for people to get away from the emotional side of the issue
and analyze the major implications cloning would have for society. To better understand this
controversial ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Society should not rush to make up its mind about cloning; it should wait and see if the good
outweighs the bad. It is obvious that cloning raises many serious issues that will be hotly debated all
over the world.
Scientists Urge Senators Not to Rush to Ban Human Cloning by Gina Kolata, is another interesting
article that lets us see what the politicians are doing concerning the cloning issue. The article discusses
how scientists and ethicists urged congress not to ban research on the cloning of human beings
because society might rush to the wrong decision.
There is no immediate crisis...since...methods...would need to be made more efficient before they
could be tried on humans. Cloning research holds glittering promises for medicine, and many
scientists fear that a hastily enacted ban might inadvertently halt research that could cure disease and
save lives. ...Society should not lose the opportunity to develop new treatments based on cloning
techniques. (Kolata)
The scientists in this article bring up many good points. This article made me wonder, would society
be protecting itself from future cures to disease, as well as the possibility of many lives being saved? I
agree with the scientists in saying that we should wait until enough evidence is available to see if
cloning will be beneficial or detrimental in our society.

The Importance Of The Five Pillars Of Islam
In order to fully understand a religion, one must first grasp the very core the religion is built upon. To
understand Islam, one must understand the 5 Pillars of Islam before they can truly appreciate the
religion in its entirety. This begs the question, what are the 5 Pillars of Islam and what do they mean?
The 5 Pillars of Islam in order are Shahadah, Salah, Zakat, Sawm, and Hajj. (Islam Explained Video)
Shahadah, the First Pillar of Islam, is an article of faith and is explained by renown Historian Keith
Hughes in his video Islam Explained: Religions in Global History as a confession where one must say,
there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. (Islam Explained Video)
The Second Pillar of Islam is Salah, which refers to prayer. (Islam PowerPoint) To complete the
Second Pillar one must pray 5 times a day facing Mecca. (Islam PowerPoint) Starting before Sunrise
the five daily prayers are Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and ending with Isha. (Islam PowerPoint). Similar
to Christianity, Moslems go to church, or the mosque, except their day of worship is Friday. (Islam

exactly what one might think, giving money to people in need of it. In countries with governments
based from Islam, a tax is mandated by the government telling each person how much they need to

A Brief Look At The Historical View Of Conditional Election
A brief look at the historical view of conditional election that is briefly stated with Scriptures that is
used today. Giving evidence, that conditional is better than unconditional as in the Five Points of
Calvinism. Though the Bible obviously demonstrates that God selects individuals to redemption, there
are two differences as to the foundation of election. Conditional election is the idea that God choose
individuals for redemption centered on His omniscience of who want to place their belief in Jesus. The
free will of man plays into the scope of eternity. Historical View
Origen was one of the original to believe that predestination and will of man plays an important role in
the doctrine of election. The Scripture he uses is 2 Timothy 2:20 21 to where men can be saved. John
Chrysostom endorsed the thought on how salvation is performed. Semi Pelagians also opposed
unconditional because of human freedom and preaching would be pointless. The Catholics believe the
part of free choice and being in the grace of God. James Arminius disagreed with Calvinist on a few
issues like atonement and will of man. He formulated major proclamations of the process of salvation.
James articles were dismissed at Synod of Dort for being against the Scriptures and where the articles
from Calvin were accepted for the churches to teach. John Wesley was strongly against unconditional
and Calvinism that he gave reasons why the theory

Why Is Goblin Market Still Relevant Today
The Continuing Trend of Sin in Modern Film influenced by Goblin Market
Tyler Perry s Temptation:Confessions of a Marriage Counselor is a film based on sin and shows how
sin is capable of ruining lives. The very title of the movie, explores some biblical references such as
temptation leading into sin. The main character Judith is a woman that finds herself in a very tempting
situation at work. A bachelor, who is looking for love finds interest in her although she is married. He
persuades her with gifts, and expensive things in life that she could only imagine. Judith falls deeper
and deeper into her affair that she ends up losing herself and falls to drugs and leaves her husband. In

According to Julie Flygare, in her essay intertwining themes in Goblin Market she states that: Rossetti
fills Goblin s Market with subject matter and themes that has strong religious associations. There is an
important theme of temptation similar to Eve s temptation in the Old Testament. Laura is slyly enticed
to eat forbidden fruit, which predictably results in great pain and her lose of innocence (Flygare).
Temptation relays the story of woman as falling for the forbidden fruit, which put the world in chaos.
Goblin Market can be seen as a hint to Eve eating the forbidden fruit and wrecking humanity. As in
Temptation that same dynamic is seen, the woman gets curious and is lured away from good through
the lusting of something else, which evidently was the bachelor. Yes, many scholars focus on the
feminist aspect of the poem, but the allusion to Eve in the garden of Eden is much more prevalent.
Although, Temptation didn t involve fruit, it did however include an aspect that was tempting such as
riches, and treasures. It s almost like an individual selling their soul just to get what they want. The sin
aspect is definitely portrayed in this modern film, it stills hold that same meaning as to what the poem
Goblin Market is trying to denote, which is that sin is everywhere. Plus the idea of women being the
main ones involved with sin. Again in the film it made Judith be looked upon as weak, and unable to

A simple bridge truss was the first structure I ever analyzed. The simple combination of beams that

Knowing that the professor, Mr. Paul Davids, was a tough teacher, I asked him for the textbook so I

Don Quixote Analysis
The tale of Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes is a chivalric tale that waltzes around the concept of
reality versus fantasy. This is prominently shown through the character, Don Quixote. Quixote
struggles with his own concepts of reality throughout the book as he believes himself to be a chivalric
knight when in reality, he is far from it. Don Quixote idealized the books he read, branded his own
version of his reality, and put it into action. Don Quixote so loved the books he read, he tried to
become one. As Cervantes writes about Don Quixote s love for his fictional stories, it becomes
noticeable that a change is starting to appear in Quixote: (QUOTE)
lack of sleep and the excess of reading...everything he read in his books took possession of his
imagination: enchantments, fights, battles, challenges, wounds, sweet nothings, love affairs, storms,
and impossible absurdities
Don Quixote s imagination took over the man that Quixote once was, shapeshifting him into this being
of daydream. This is the kickoff into the absurdities that Don Quixote performs as these books have
begun to take over his mindset through obession. Quixote takes simple parts of his life and forces this
adamant change of reality onto them some with or without knowing of this participation For example,
his horse became a valiant steed, a simple peasant girl (Dulcinea) into a sweet damsel, spare parts into
shining armor, and his neighbor Sancho into a faithful squire. As the normal situation

A Successful Business Leadership Style
The ultimate aim of this research is to highlight a successful business leadership style. The intention is
to research business leadership in the developing countries, and devise a new framework or strategy
that can be used by businesses and education systems within developing countries and possibly other
Asian countries. This framework would identify the qualities necessary to develop an appropriate
leadership style to be an effective leader in organisations operating. This will be achieved by
investigating the social and cultural environment and look at how these forces affect the business
environment, and in particular the qualities of a good leader within the organisation. The research
aims to fill a gap in the existing body of knowledge to do with leadership and management in different
regions of the world.

Broadly speaking, leadership can be defined as a process in which an individual influences a group of
individuals to work towards the achievement of a common goal or vision (Lussier, 1996; Northouse,
2001; Stogdill, 1974). Moreover, Bush and Coleman (2000) note that since most of what has been
written about leadership draws upon western cultural models, it should be borne in mind that
leadership might well be viewed differently in different cultures.
The difference between leadership and management is vividly encapsulated in Bass s model of
transformational and transactional leadership styles. Transformational leaders

Dental Braces Research Paper
Life After the Braces Come Off
A vast majority of patients who wear dental braces, do so for an average of 18 to 36 months.
However, there are some who may need to wear their orthodontic hardware for a longer period since
each situation and each person s individual dental health needs differ. Regardless of how long you
wear your dental braces, they are not a permanent, lifetime commitment. There will come a time when
your dental braces will be removed and you will need to adhere to an appropriate aftercare plan as part
of the transition process. Caring dentists in Silver Spring, MD, can help you with braces.
What can I Expect When My Braces are Removed?
Once your braces are removed, your dentist will want to determine the level of progress your teeth
made during the time that you wore the orthodontic hardware. In order for him or her to do that, the
dentist will give your teeth a good, thorough cleaning, take some dental images, and may also take
some bite impressions to make a comparison and see what progress was made. Your dentist will also
check to determine if your wisdom teeth have come in. If they have, then your dentist may discuss
removing them since they could ultimately affect your newly straightened teeth and set your progress

While having your braces taken off may sound like a burst of freedom, and a return to normal life
again, that is not entirely true. Wearing braces is a kind of intense dental therapy and after spending
that much of your precious time to accomplish a straight, beautiful smile, one of the last things you
want to do is to disrupt the progress that you made and allow your teeth to return to their former
positions. With that said, after your dental braces have been removed, your dentist may recommend
that you wear a dental retainer for a period of time to prevent your teeth from slipping back into their
former positions.

Erik Erikson s Theory Of Psychology
Erik Erikson was a well known 20th century psychologist who made various contributions to the field
of psychology. He was born on June 15, 1902 in Frankfurt, Germany. His unnamed Danish biological
father abandoned Erik s mother before he was born. Erik was raised by his mother, Karla Abrahamsen,
for the first three years and she married Dr. Theodor Homberger in 1905. His mother and stepfather
raised him and Erik took his stepfather s name, Erik Abrahamsen. Erik had blond hair, blue eyes, and
Nordic looks. Thus, he was teased for having Nordic looks in the community. On the other hand, he
was teased at the grammar school for being a Jewish. Erik struggled with his identity and had
difficulties not fitting in with either culture. In this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Three stages are faced by most school aged children. Stage three, initiative vs. guilt, is for
preschoolers. If they are given freedom to imagine, be responsible, take decisions, to plan, then
tendency toward initiative will be encouraged. However, if children are always restricted and not
shown any appreciation for their ideas or decisions, they will feel guilty about acting on their own.
The fourth stage, industry vs. inferiority, is for students of elementary and middle school. Children are
encouraged to do things well and finish tasks. They are praised for their achievements and they
develop self confidence and industry. But, children who fail to achieve or who are constantly criticized
will be left with the feeling of inferiority. Identity vs. role confusion is the fifth stage faced by
adolescence, from 12 18 years. In this stage, adolescents seek their true selves and identity through
exploration of different behaviors, values, and beliefs. If adolescent succeeds, identity develops and if
they don t, it results into role confusion. When an adolescent is challenged by role confusion, Erikson
said, that adolescent is suffering from an identity crisis. Understanding sense of self is important in
this stage of the theory in order to find success in next stages. If an adolescent gets stuck at this stage,

Pharmacy Improvement Services at Cvs
The Service Process at (CVS) The process consisted of five basic steps (refer to Figure 1), the first
being the drop off. A customer would drop off a script and write the requested pickup time on the
script itself, then put it in a box that was divided into a number of slots. These slots were assigned to a
specific time period and the tech would put the script into the slot corresponding to the hour before the
desired pickup time. The busiest times at the drop off were before work, lunchtime, and after work.
Regardless of when they dropped them off, more customers wanted to pick up their filled
prescriptions after work than at any other time. The next step would be the data entry. Each hour, a

The problems with the fulfilment process and recommended changes An Overview The overall
problems faced during the entire pharmacy fulfilment process were that pickup window technicians
dealt with customers who did not get what they were expecting. Based on their analyses and
observations, the PSI team estimated that 16% of customers fell into this category. It was also even
more disturbing that 27% of scripts encountered a substantial problem at some point in the fulfilment
process. It should also be noted that even though CVS grew at market rates, it was only because
customers believed that no one provided great services and they thought it was difficult to switch from
one pharmacy to another. Despite this, at the start of 200, approximately 7.2 million regular pharmacy
customers left CVS during the year, causing CVS to lose an estimated 55 million annual prescriptions
that would have contributed $2.5 billion to revenue. It can therefore be seen retaining customers
should be the main agenda for CVS. This can be done through improvement in CVS s services and
operations. In order to achieve this outcome our group feels that an upgraded computerized service
system, complete with a more comprehensive database would provide the strong foundations for a
smooth business operation. The system should be able to monitor and record logistics, inventory
movements, insurance checks, customer profiles etc. Secondly, training should also

What Is The Impact Of Sports Field Infrastructure
Locally, most people think that sport field infrastructure is only about the underdevelopment of sports
fields in Kona. However, sports fields infrastructure is a much bigger problem than that. Sports fields
infrastructure impacts many people on the west side of the Big Island. For example the community of
south Kona is impacted deeply through sports fields infrastructure. In West Hawaii, the sports fields
quality is awful, which causes Kona to perform at a lower level in team, sport activities. High schools
are also being affected by sports fields infrastructure. For example, when they practice on low quality
sports fields, they drop to a low level of performance. Believe it or not, but the county is not doing

It s not fun to drive to hilo every weekend to play quality athletics team sports and even knowing that
we can help to change this problem. Sports fields infrastructure can affect many people even people
who don t play team sports. Sometimes people can play quality games because of the fields condition
on the West Side. there are many ways sports fields infrastructure can affect how teams play. For
example it s a safety issue because there s holes in our fields in kona. Some people know what s going
on but most don t, that s why we have to inform others about this problem. Hopefully the county takes
care of all of this so our community can accelerate in sports. If kona got more sports fields imagine
how good we would be in sports. To me i feel like hilo has an advantage just because of their fields
quality compared to ours. If everyone just put alittle in to help fix this problem then it would be fixed
in the near future. People need to team up to persuade the county into giving Kona more sports fields.
The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and
never score. By Bill

Speech On Traditional Family
We all come into this world alone and we leave this world alone. This is something we heat
throughout our lives but if we investigate this statement, we find a very different reality. Since we all
are birthed through the body of woman, who joined with the body of man no one enters in this world
alone. Later we call those man and woman as our mother and father thus adding us in the existing
family, which on a large scale forms the human society. After all society is built on limitless
interactions among human beings and human beings are capable to act with endless varieties. The

Milk and Viable Salmonella Essay example
Salmonella
Salmonella is a prokaryotic, rod shaped, bacterial organism. It is nonsporeforming and Gram negative.
(1) Salmonella is responsible for almost 60 percent of reported cases of bacterial food borne illness
and 40 percent of all food borne illness of any kind. Salmonella survives digestion and reproduces in
the small intestine, making people sick. Salmonella has hundreds of different types, all of which cause
much the same illness in humans. Eating food containing live salmonella bacteria causes
salmonellosis. (2)

Salmonella can cause enteric fever (typhoid fever). Some children have a salmon colored rash (rose
spots). When Salmonella bacteria get into the bloodstream, they can travel and cause infection
throughout the body. Children with sickle cell disease, HIV, and certain other causes of anemia are
among those at risk for complications from Salmonella. Salmonella can be spread from person to
person by the fecal oral route. Salmonella symptoms usually begin about 24 hours after exposure
(from 6 to 72 hours). Enteric fever can occur up to 60 days after exposure. The symptoms usually go
away within a week in otherwise healthy children. (2) It is estimated that from 2 to 4 million cases of
salmonellosis occur in the U.S. annually. (4)
Many different kinds of illnesses can cause diarrhea, fever or abdominal cramps.
Determining that Salmonella is the cause of the illness depends on laboratory tests which identify
Salmonella in the stool of an infected person. (1) Other tests, such as blood tests or spinal fluid tests
may be performed if there is reason to suspect that Salmonella is there. Salmonella may be suspected
based on the history and physical exam. (2) Salmonella bacteria is discovered in stool cultures.
Although blood cultures are rarely positive, bacteremia does occur in 5% of adults with Salmonella
gastroenteritis and can result in hematogenous spread to the heart (endocarditis), spleen, bone
(osteomyelitis), and joints (reactive arthritis). (3) Salmonella

Tutsi Women Of The Rwanda
In 1994 the country of Rwanda experienced genocide that killed thousands of people. This genocide
was mostly against the Tutsi but also men, women and children of Hutu decent that were found to be
in contact with Tutsi. The conflict between the Tutsi, Twa and Hutu people began when the Belgium
colonizers decided to divide the three groups. According to Herndon and Randell (2013) colonial
ideology had promoted the notion of Tutsi women as more aesthetically pleasing because of imagined
similarities to European features (p.73). Which is why during the genocide of 1994, Tutsi women were

Even women that were menstruating, pregnant, breast feeding their babies, going through menopause,

Women were more likely to be kept as sexual slaves than men so a lot more survived the genocide
than men. Before the genocide women participated in politics, but they could only do so if things they
were supposed to do as mothers, wives or just as a female were not affected. Because a lot of the men
were either dead or in prison, women and girls had to make decisions if they had to survive. Women
and girls stepped in to become heads of the household and in order to do this they had to learn new
skills. Tutsi and Hutu women were able to come together after the genocide of 1994 and support each

Art Of Evoking Nature s Majesty Within A Tight Space
A Japanese garden embodies the art of evoking nature s majesty within a tight space. Throughout 5th
to 8th century Japanese gardens sprung up for ritual purposes. From the late 8th to the 12th century the
Japanese gardens started to become more of aesthetic and social piece. These Japanese gardens hold
many styles and elements. What make a Japanese garden so special are the natural materials, evoking
the beauty of nature on a smaller scale. They re three types of Japanese gardens the most common of
the garden design possesses a stream or pond lying in the center surrounded mounds of earth, both
serving as a comparison an ocean to a mountain. The second is a dry garden also known as Zen
gardens, having no water; instead the water is characterized by the arrangements of rocks and gravel.
The third style is a tea garden developed as an extension of the tea ceremony. The tea garden gives an

Health In this growing and advanced society, modern technology can ultimately play a significant role
in advancing our chosen professions. Presently, the world has been made much more accessible by
modern technology. It is now possible to stay in constant contact with everyone around and work in
areas that were unimaginable just a few short years ago. However, the constant use of this technology
comes at a cost. Increased use of digital technology and current exposure to electronic fields coming
from wi fi and other digital devices such as laptops, cellphones, and iPads can negatively affect
humans mental and emotional health as well as social interaction skills; many of the increased health
problems suffered these days are also the result of an inappropriate use of medical technology. In

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, most childhood vaccines are 90 99% effective in
preventing disease. Under some circumstances the children that have been vaccinated do get the
disease; they usually have milder symptoms with less serious complications than a child who has not
had the same vaccination. This proves that there are more risks with not being vaccinated than being
vaccinated.
Back in 2005 there was an outbreak of rotavirus gastroenteritis in Nicaragua, this caused high
mortality and hospitalization. There was a case study done to see if the children who had passed away
had access to routine immunizations, in which the children should have been given the rotavirus
vaccination. The results of this study showed that with a rotavirus vaccine the seasonal outbreaks
could be diminished.
Rotavirus gastroenteritis is not the only disease that has been an issue. Polio paralyzed about 37,000
and killed about 1,700 every year in the 1950 s in the United States. About 15,000 people died each
year from diphtheria before there was a vaccine, and up to 70,000 children a year were hospitalized
for rotavirus.

Never Event
On June 3, 2015, the staff in the cardiovascular surgical suite (CVOR) allowed a patient to fall to the

anesthetists, two scrub technicians, one registered nurse, and one physician s assistant. Following the
closure of the surgical site, the appropriate dressings were applied, the cardiothoracic surgeon left the
surgical theater, and the patient was transferred to the patient bed when the never event occurred.

Notes On Forex Trading Software
Forex trading software has a noble aim: to completely automate the forex trading process. It can either
produce trading signals and you make the actual trade, or the more sophisticated programs can be set
to make the trade as well. When you are trading on the stock market, you would typically choose one
or more companies and start watching their shares. You will study their financial statements. You will
listen to what other traders say about their stock value whether it s undervalued or overvalued. But
whatever you do, it is unlikely that you will ever get access to the information that can really make or
break a particular company. Things like technological changes that will make their products totally
obsolete. The forex market is somewhat different in this regard. At least theoretically it s a level
playing field. All traders have equal access to market information. What s left for the traders then is to
analyze that information, come to a trading decision and start making money. So try to comprehend
the development that took place through years. Every moment forex market constructs a new history
and hence you have to know what the recent news is and how it is influencing the price movements.
Also you should be familiar with the parties those are working on the trading like the forex brokers or
the companies selling trading signals or other relevant services. If you can comprehend these simple
requirements then understanding the functioning of automated currency

portrayed in many different ways physical power, financial power, collective power, emotional
blackmail, status power and people who are disempowered. In this essay I will explore the ways that
John Steinbeck presents power ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the fight scene Lennie shows that he has a lot a physical power and strength. John Steinbeck uses
alliteration in the description where Lennie lets go of his hold he crouched cowering against the wall.
He crouched cowering is a brilliant use of alliteration because it adds suspense to the scene they were
in and it emphasis the point that he is cowardly and abuses his financial power over the men and tries
to use them but fails. These words makes Curley look like the bad guy and reminds us of how over
confident he was the first time that George and Lennie met him.
In conclusion power is portrayed in many different ways in of mice and men but there are many
occasions where people abuse their power in the one scene I have been writing about . This is one of
the reasons that life was so tuff in the 1930 s a people didn t have relationships like George and Lennie
s. The abuse of power eventually drove George to killing Lennie because he knew what life would be
like if he didn t kill him. The power and status of people back then meant the difference of being
controlled by someone s abuse of power or controlling someone. I wouldn t like to be on either end
because in the end it destroyed the great relationship that two men

Comparing The Man He Killed And The White City
Claude McKay and Thomas Hardy both clarify in their stories a feeling of choosing what they are
doing with their life and the circumstance that they are in. In The Man He Killed the storyteller is
befuddled and in dismay of what he has done and why he must be in a circumstance of executing
another man in any case as he said he could have most likely of been great companions with the other
person if things were distinctive, perhaps. In The White City the storyteller has a filled contempt for
the white world and being placed in a position where he supposes the main reason he is not a skeleton
is because of his dull filled energy of his and that he will continue pushing forward. In The Man He
Killed and The White City the fundamental ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The storyteller is in a situation where African Americans are thought to a lower standard than the
whites of America as there is the white world s damnation when the African Americans at last got
approach rights like the Whites. In spite of the fact that African Americans now have parallel rights,
they are still given indications of dangers by the whites who don t need break even with rights, yet the
storyteller expresses that he would not twist an inch of be toyed with as he will continue pushing
ahead, I won t towy with nor twist an inch (McKay Line 1). His intention not at all like in The Man
He Killed is extremely sure all through the entire ballad, as his primary rationale is his scorn of being
looked downward on and that regardless of what number of deterrents he gets from the whites and he
will continue pushing ahead regardless. On the off chance that it were not for his searched out disdain
and his dim interests than he would be just a skeleton twisting under the will of isolation, My being
would be a skeleton, a shell, if this dim Passion that fills my each state of mind, and makes my
paradise in the white world s damnation (McKay Lines 5 10). His paradise is a spot where African
Americans have rise to rights which so happens to be the inverse of a white man s damnation as his
paradise lives in their hellfire. Surrounding he looks, as much as he adores the city that he is in, he
really want to notice that there is a white fog implying that white individuals have had an impact on
everything around him, I see the might city through a fog (McKay Line 11). This demonstrates the
storyteller that in spite of the fact that he is attempting to push ahead he is still in a position where he

The Things They Carried by Tim O Brien Essay
The Things They Carried by Tim O Brien
The Things They Carried list the variety of things his fellow soldiers in the Alpha Company brought
on their missions. Several of these things cannot be seen, including guilt and fear, while others are
specific physical objects, including matches, morphine, M 16 rifles, and M M s candy. Throughout the
collection, the same characters reappear in various stories. The first member of the Alpha Company to
die is Ted Lavender, a grunt, or low ranking soldier, who deals with his anxiety about the war by
taking tranquilizers and smoking marijuana. Lavender is shot in the head on his way back from going
to the bathroom, and his superior, Lieutenant Jimmy Cross, blames himself for the ... Show more

Though O Brien is not close to Lemon, in The Dentist, he tells a story of how Lemon, who faints
before a routine checkup with an army issued dentist, tries to save face by insisting that a perfectly
good tooth be pulled. Lee Strunk, another member of the company, dies from injuries he sustains by
stepping on a landmine. In Friends, O Brien remembers that before Strunk was fatally hurt, Strunk and
Dave Jensen had made a pact that if either man were irreparably harmed, the other man would see that
he was quickly killed. However, when Strunk is actually hurt, he begs Jensen to spare him, and Jensen
complies. Instead of being upset by the news of his friend s swift death en route to treatment, Jensen is
relieved. The death that receives the most attention in The Things They Carried is that of Kiowa, a
much loved member of the Alpha Company and one of O Brien s closest friends. In Speaking of
Courage, the story of Kiowa s death is relayed in retrospect through the memory of Norman Bowker,
years after the war. As Bowker drives around a lake in his Iowa hometown, he thinks that he failed to
save Kiowa, who was killed when a mortar round hit and caused him to sink headfirst into a marshy
field. O Brien realizes that he has dealt with his guilt over Kiowa s death differently than Norman
Bowker in Notes. Just before the end of the war, O Brien receives a long letter from Bowker that says

Persuasive Essay On Drunk Driving
Drunk driving. Everyone knows how dangerous it can be. The message, Do not drink and drive, is
everywhere. People have finally started to realize how incredibly perilous driving while drunk can be,
and the number of alcohol related accidents is starting to plummet. *** Do not celebrate yet, however.
Another dangerous pastime is beginning to influence people behind the wheel. Texting. In fact, people
are beginning to believe that texting while driving is even more precarious than driving while
intoxicated. ** Really? Texting? Unfortunately, yes. Statistics on accidents and studies on the slowed
reaction times of behind the wheel texters seem quite conclusive. In addition, people just do not take
this issue seriously enough, which has a great effect on the occurrence of texting. In 2002, there were
12,405 deaths caused by driving while intoxicated. Nine years later, there were 9,296, a full 25% less.
Accidents caused by driving while distracted, however, has risen over 22%, going from 2,600
fatalities in 2002 to 3,331 in 2011. ...the NHTSA reports that texting while driving is currently
responsible for approximately 1.6 million accidents every year about 25% of all driving accidents.

The Car and Driver Magazine conducted an experiment to discover just how hazardous drunk driving
was compared to distracted driving. The results were shocking. The cars used in the test were rigged
with a red light to tell the drivers to hit the brake, and the reaction times were recorded. Sober drivers
took an average of 0.54 seconds to brake. Drivers with a blood alcohol content of 0.8, the legal limit,
required an extra four feet to brake. For those sending a text, 70 extra feet were required. Another test
taken in London showed that those that texted while behind the wheel had reaction times that were
35% worse than drivers with no

Argumentative Essay On Obama Care
Health, an issue that is timeless for any generation at any point in history. Some of great epidemics
that have impacted history are the bubonic plague, ebola, the swine flu and the zika virus Here on
United States soil, there many illnesses that affect our population, such as cancer, Hepatitis C,
Shingles, Diabetes, tuberculosis, STDs, etc. Unfortunately, our government will intervene with other
countries with medical aid, but they decide to make it harder for our citizens to receive the attention
needed. Until 2010, when President Obama passed the affordable healthcare act(Obamacare). Majority
of U.S. residents agree that, under this act; it has become more affordable to have health insurance.
This has created lower prices for the care plans, and in turn lower income household are able to afford
them. According to survey done by Gallup Healthways Well Being index, to show how many adults

attention at a affordable cost. The law has clearly reduced broad measures of inequality, said David
Cutler, an economics professor at Harvard, who served in the Clinton administration and advisor to
the 2008 Obama campaign. These are people who blend into the background of the economy. They are

Cordelia King Lear Essay
Cordelia s father plays a big role in the cause of her tragic death. She returns to Britain to fight against
her sisters for Lear s rights. She speaks with Lear who has nearly lost his mind, and he does not know
who she is: Lear: You do me wrong to take me out o th grave; /thou art a soul in bliss; but I am bound
/do scald like molten lead. (Shakespeare, 4. 7. 45 48). Here, Lear believes that he is dead and in hell.
When he see s Cordelia, he calls her a soul in bliss , an angel which confirms that he believes that she
is dead as well. This shows his insanity, and foreshadows his and Cordelia s deaths. Cordelia later
loses the battle between France and Britain which results in her and her father getting captured. Once

Amish Cultural Values And Beliefs
The Amish are a secluded religious group with the majority living in Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania.
They avoid modernization and the typical American lifestyle. This writer is from Indiana and
remembers seeing a slow moving large black object early one morning moving across an interstate
overpass. It was beautiful and fascinating as the giant horse was solid black, the carriage was black
and the gentleman was wearing all black. The sun was just rising and it woke this writer up while
driving with heavy eyes. This paper seeks to explore Amish cultural values, beliefs, and attitudes in
order to provide culturally competent nursing health care. It is imperative for nurses to provide
culturally competent care because nurses serve as patient advocates. This role includes respecting the
rights and dignity of all patients. Nurses are not necessarily as culturally diverse as the populations
they serve, so it is important to learn about different cultures such as the Amish.

A limited number of behavioral healthcare organizations in the U.S., as found by (Knabb, Vogt,

central Pennsylvania, is a 15 bed facility for Amish from all over the nation to receive outpatient
mental health services, provided in ways that are suitable for their cultural and religious standards.
Amish are humble in behavior and language and they avoid drawing attention to themselves,
therefore, an individual psychological study is usually avoided (Knabb, Vogt, Newgren, 2011). It
seems that the Amish do not easily wish to seek mental health services as well as medical services in
general. Most likely there is the same sense of stigma associated with mental health care as it is
experienced in traditional American

In 1990, Congress passed the Clery Act which created gun free zones in primary and secondary schools. Around that same time many states passed laws prohibiting weapons on college campuses as well. People who are for concealed carry at universities claim that it would be for their security. Since 2002, 64 people have been killed in mass shootings on college campuses. Opponents of this idea claim that allowing guns on college campuses would conflict with their own personal safety. Many say that the more weapons we have on college campuses, the more likely an attack or accident is to happen. An idea that has been tossed around would be to allow only faculty and staff to carry concealed weapons. However, opponents still have some hesitations. • 9. Nelson Mandel An Effective Method Of Ending Apartheid Nelson Mandela s contribution to the destruction of apartheid in South Africa is unparalleled. He dedicated every action of his life to unify a sectioned South Africa that showed no signs of reformation. One of the major characteristics of Mandela s movement in particular was the notion of unification through nonviolence. Throughout South Africa, the apartheid system was strict and unforgiving. The origins of apartheid lied within denying blacks any political power, or any participation in government whatsoever. From this, the National Party established a system of racial segregation that strictly adhered to White Africans. The apartheid system was law, and was aggressively enforced through physical and political abuse towards black South Africans. Any opposition to the apartheid system endangered the lives of all who participated. Naturally, black South Africans would eventually take action against the poor treatment of their superiors. However the most important characteristic of a revolt are the principals on which it is structured. The Nonviolence Campaign was the most effective method of ending apartheid in South Africa. Peaceful opposition prevented unnecessary loss of life, stayed true to the original principals and morals of abolitionists, and prevented the movement itself from falling to hypocrisy. However, the only reason I volunteered was because I needed community service hours for school. I always secretly wished to be put in the packing group since it had the least leadership role because I never wanted to be a leader. What I did not know at that time, was those years before high school were preparing me for what God had in store for me. When I started my freshman year in high school, I still had to do community service. This led me to continue doing Operation Christmas Child. I was now volunteering at my school, Trinity Christian High School along with my athletic director, Mr. Fitz, who was in charge of running it. Even though this was taking place somewhere else, I expected that I would still be able to have a role not involving leadership. This was not the case because Mr. Fitz had something else in store for me. Giving evidence, that conditional is better than unconditional as in the Five Points of Calvinism. Though the Bible obviously demonstrates that God selects individuals to redemption, there are two differences as to the foundation of election. Conditional election is the idea that God choose individuals for redemption centered on His omniscience of who want to place their belief in Jesus. The free will of man plays into the scope of eternity. Historical View Origen was one of the original to believe that predestination and will of man plays an important role in the doctrine of election. The Scripture he uses is 2 Timothy 2:20 21 to where men can be saved. John Chrysostom endorsed the thought on how salvation is performed. Semi Pelagians also opposed unconditional because of human freedom and preaching would be pointless. The Catholics believe the part of free choice and being in the grace of God. James Arminius disagreed with Calvinist on a few issues like atonement and will of man. He formulated major proclamations of the process of salvation. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Julie Flygare, in her essay intertwining themes in Goblin Market she states that: Rossetti fills Goblin s Market with subject matter and themes that has strong religious associations. There is an important theme of temptation similar to Eve s temptation in the Old Testament. Laura is slyly enticed to eat forbidden fruit, which predictably results in great pain and her lose of innocence (Flygare). Temptation relays the story of woman as falling for the forbidden fruit, which put the world in chaos. Goblin Market can be seen as a hint to Eve eating the forbidden fruit and wrecking humanity. As in Temptation that same dynamic is seen, the woman gets curious and is lured away from good through the lusting of something else, which evidently was the bachelor. Yes, many scholars focus on the feminist aspect of the poem, but the allusion to Eve in the garden of Eden is much more prevalent. Although, Temptation didn t involve fruit, it did however include an aspect that was tempting such as riches, and treasures. It s almost like an individual selling their soul just to get what they want. The sin aspect is definitely portrayed in this modern film, it stills hold that same meaning as to what the poem Goblin Market is trying to denote, which is that sin is everywhere. • 18. Don Quixote Analysis The tale of Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes is a chivalric tale that waltzes around the concept of reality versus fantasy. This is prominently shown through the character, Don Quixote. Quixote struggles with his own concepts of reality throughout the book as he believes himself to be a chivalric knight when in reality, he is far from it. Don Quixote idealized the books he read, branded his own version of his reality, and put it into action. Don Quixote so loved the books he read, he tried to become one. As Cervantes writes about Don Quixote s love for his fictional stories, it becomes noticeable that a change is starting to appear in Quixote: (QUOTE) lack of sleep and the excess of reading...everything he read in his books took possession of his imagination: enchantments, fights, battles, challenges, wounds, sweet nothings, love affairs, storms, and impossible absurdities Don Quixote s imagination took over the man that Quixote once was, shapeshifting him into this being of daydream. This is the kickoff into the absurdities that Don Quixote performs as these books have begun to take over his mindset through obession. Quixote takes simple parts of his life and forces this adamant change of reality onto them some with or without knowing of this participation For example, his horse became a valiant steed, a simple peasant girl (Dulcinea) into a sweet damsel, spare parts into shining armor, and his neighbor Sancho into a faithful squire. The research aims to fill a gap in the existing body of knowledge to do with leadership and management in different regions of the world. Moreover, Bush and Coleman (2000) note that since most of what has been written about leadership draws upon western cultural models, it should be borne in mind that leadership might well be viewed differently in different cultures. It was also even more disturbing that 27% of scripts encountered a substantial problem at some point in the fulfilment process. It should also be noted that even though CVS grew at market rates, it was only because customers believed that no one provided great services and they thought it was difficult to switch from one pharmacy to another. Despite this, at the start of 200, approximately 7.2 million regular pharmacy customers left CVS during the year, causing CVS to lose an estimated 55 million annual prescriptions that would have contributed $2.5 billion to revenue.
