performance of PSY105 student at the HELP University Campus in 2014. Convenience sampling was
used to collect the 30 samples from the population, without specific gender and ethnicity. Based on the
literature it is stated that having a high self esteem produces higher academic performance. The
researcher used an existing Rosenberg Self Esteem scale to obtain a raw data of each participant. The
statistical test used is the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The study was based on a
non experimental correlational design. The results shows a significant negative correlation between
the level of self esteem and academic performance, this concludes the level of self esteem do influence

I Am A Great Leader
Leaders are everywhere and when I think of great leaders I have had the pleasure of interacting with,
the first ones that come to my mind are my Grandparents, Virgil and June Watts. After my first
thought, my mind floods with many other people who I consider great leaders but my Grandparents
are always the first that I think of as great leaders. My Grandpa taught me about hard work, respect,
the importance of family, and the ability to understand you may not always get along so you have to
learn to compromise sometimes. My Grandma taught me how to love, give to others, cook, and
provide for ourselves and others with what we have available. One of the most important thing my
Grandparents taught me though was, to have a passion and put one hundred percent into it. My
Grandpa with his love of music and entertaining people with playing music and my Grandma with her
love of sewing and making beautiful dresses and quilts.
I spent many nights and days with my Grandparents and often see them as playing the biggest role in

My career goal is to become a Recreational Therapist. Recreational therapist typical help those with

a Recreational Therapist I have to meet certain requirements. I would also need my Associate in Arts
in Kinesiology. First i would have to complete at least 12 units here at Long Beach City College so
that i may transfer my credits from my previous college. In order to transfer to a 4 year university,
more specifically, california state university (CSU), i must complete 60 units to transfer. 30 of those
60 units need to follow CSU general education breadth requirements also known as Plan B. The other
half will be completed by taking the required courses for my degree, kinesiology. After i earn my AA
in kinesiology and transfer to a California state university i will have to complete a total 120 units,
which include the units that transfer, in order to obtain my bachelors degree in recreation. If i estimate
correctly i would only have to take 60, give or take, more units after transfer.

Abstract
Saturation of substrates was a phenomenon that was observed in Part II of the experiment. This was
referenced from later in the discussion. When the enzyme activity from this experiment was compared
to Enoch s work, (Enoch) it was stated that he found that in certain liver cells of rats, enzyme activity
would stop suddenly. The study proposed that the lower Enoch dropped the substrate concentration
within these cells, the less activity he could record. This proved to both his data and to the date from
this experiment that the substrate was necessary for catalysis, because as enzyme concentration rose,
substrates bound more quickly to the active site of an enzyme. Once all substrates in the mixture were
changed to products, the enzyme was stationary because it had no more substrate to catalyze. This
meant that in order for the reaction to continue, substrate concentration had to increase.
Introduction
To understand how and why the experiment was performed, one must understand what enzymes and
substrates are. Enzymes are defined as proteins that are capable of speeding up a chemical reaction by
reducing the amount of activation energy needed to catalyze that reaction (Raven, Johnson and Mason
