Conflicting Parties Case Study Analysis
Conflicting Parties Case Study Analysis
When working in tight quarters, there are countless ways of unintentionally impeding on a colleague s
work habits. Due to a shared office, Brian and Jon are no exception. While striving to complete work
tasks through the means each is comfortable with and accustom to, each individual s work style habits
imposes on the other s. Unfortunately due to space limitations, separating Brian and Jon to two
separate offices is not a possibility. However, through thoughtful conflict resolution, Brian and Jon can
negotiate the means to more forward working together, without continuing to distract the other with
their own work style.
Conflict Resolution In broad terms, conflict resolution refers to the process two or more individuals
utilize in order to reach an agreement to a dispute or debate (Miall, Ramsbotham Woodhouse, 1999).
While there are many specific components to conflict resolution, the application of each facet is
strongly tied to the specifics of each individual conflict. In the case of Brian and Jon s office space
conflict, the pair should examine the relevant concepts of fractionation, framing, reframing, and
common ground. Ultimately, if the two colleague s cannot reach an agreement(s) on how to move
forward working together, mediation can be utilized as a last resort.
Fractionation
As one of the many components of conflict resolution, fractionation is a concept which should be
utilized early in the conflict resolution

Where The Grand Canyon And Lake Mead Collide
Where the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead collide, sits an ecological and historical oasis. The Virgin
Mountains stand tall in the background as waterfront views of Mead paint an unforgettable scene. This
desert abode served as host for early prehistoric inhabitants, Native Americans, early pioneers,
Spanish miners, and presently outdoor enthusiasts. Adventurists have the opportunity to explore over
800 miles of intertwining roads that braid the landscape. Gold Butte has remained one of Mojave s
most precious secrets for decades. This elegant desert hides only an hour and a half drive east of Las
Vegas and just south of Mesquite Nevada. Gold Butte s ecosystem is comprised of diverse organisms,
many of which are sacred and protected plants and animals. Joshua trees sit nestled deep in the
mineral enriched sand, while the bighorn sheep and tortoise roam the vast desert terrain. The almost
350,000 acres of public land is sculpted with rugged mountains, sandstone outcroppings, yucca
forests, slot canyons, and flat top mesas. Is it possible that a place with such a unique array of wildlife
and history can exist and remain a secret? Unfortunately, due to many factors over the past 20 years,
Gold Butte has been on center stage, but not just for tourism.
The technological uses of smart phones, GPS, digital maps, internet, and even social websites have
made it inherently impossible to keep public lands a secret. However, Gold Butte s fame did not

Analysis Of The Television Show Saved By The Bell Essay
Millennials Are Determined In the television show Saved by the Bell, the character Zach Morris a
high school student failed to have enough credits to graduate high school. Zach demonstrated his
determination to make up a class in order to graduate on time with his class. A failed experience
motivates millennials to keep trying until the goal is accomplished. We use our past experiences as an
encouragement to succeed in education. Higher education opens the door to better job opportunities
for generation Y. Having a similar experience in high school includes me of this generation. Once
informed regarding low grades it motivated Zack to put more work and effort because a passing grade
is required in order to graduate. Schools educate the millennials to enter the workforce. Generation Y
is special because they are the largest group of people schooled in history, have the nature to own a
business and be their own boss, and work for a meaningful cause, not just money. Generation Y is
special because we face challenges that influence us to succeed. In Paul Angone s article 3 Major
Challenges Facing Millennials he states, Millennials are the Largest, Most Educated Generation in
History (Angone 2). They are the largest group of people schooled in history. College students work to
obtain a bachelors or doctorate college degree.in the desired field of work. Attending college allows
the millennials to have better job opportunities in the workforce.

The Roaring Twenties Summary
The Roaring Twenties written by Joshua Zeitz exemplifies the 1920s as a time full of grace, but not
without its hardships. The author states that there was an era of liberation for women, and many
contemporary ideas were introduced. New ideals were being popularized and a different generation
was evolving, even with the disapproval of others. Although it was a glitzy and glamorous time, the
economy was being strained and eventually reached a breaking point. Even though there was a
depression in the beginning and the end of the 1920s, this period was met with beauty, allure, and
fascination.
The rise of female emancipation created a modern look for women. Flappers contributed to the social
aspect of the new democracy. Described as northern, urban, young, and single, these women loved the
nightlife. These girls enjoyed jazz clubs or vaudeville shows. A flapper was generally characterized by

Along with these state of the art activities came a huge increase in citizens living in cities. For the first
time in America s history, more people were living in cities than on farms and villages. Inventions like
radio, car, and film in the late nineteenth to early twentieth centuries prospered in the twenties. People
had money to spend, and they spent it. Zeitz writes that ...theaters were selling 5 million tickets a
week, a sum equal to roughly half the U.S. population! Like film, radio sales boomed. The annual
sales for radios were $852 million, and twelve million households owned them. Even teenagers were
embracing the freedom of the twenties. According to an interview done by Robert and Helen Lynd, the
top reasons for disagreement between high schoolers and their parents was the number of times they
could go out during the school week, the hour they came home, and their allotted spending

Essay On The Black Swan
1. The Black Swan : The impact of the Highly Improbable by Nassim Taleb is a great article that
caught my attention the article gives insight on why people cannot predict the future. Even if humans
try really hard they cant. We try to generalize things but there is no proof that there is a possibility that
other ideas are out there. The example that Im thinking of is the black swan. In history so many people
have tried to predict so many historical events that have happened. They have someway predicted the
dates to these events. Even though they predicted the dates the event didn t happen according to plan.
No one can predict the future of our world. Black swans being unpredictable we need to adjust to their
existence. Instead of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
FEMA was not prepared or not organized for what was to come from Katrina. FEMA couldn t provide
shelter and food for those who needed it. Thousands of people of New Orleans and parts of
Mississippi were not helped. This made me realize if an organization like FEMA wants to be
successful in the future they need to have System thinking as one of their key focus. This will help
them when an another natural disaster like Katrina comes. Senge states that System thinking is a
discipline for seeing the structures that underlie complex situations, and for discerning high from low
leverage change. That is, by seeing wholes we learn how to foster health. (Senge 69). If a complex
organization uses system thinking in every decision that has to be made then many problem can be cut
down and that means you can limit the uncertain failures that come with a complex organization. The
organization has to make sure that they are prepared and ready for any problem that is thrown at them.
System thinking can help an organization be successful at the end of the day.
The one thing that be very important is strategies which helps cut down the unforeseen failures within
complex organizations. The complex organizations will face failures without planning properly or
without having great guidance from a leader. Perfect examples of how to cut down risk for complex
organizations is the way Thad Allen approach the rescue missions of Hurricane Katrina. An
organization that should have been

Marx Theory Of Reserve Army Of Labour
, rather than reducing migration, economic development increases migration. Marx theory of reserve
army of labour is central to what he has to say about capitalism and workers wages; the proletariat.
Most migrants in society today migrate to the US and end up working in factories where they manage
machinery. Marx theory illustrates how capitalist industries consists of two parts the machinery and
the workers. Capitalist industries expand by sukingin their workers to operate the machinery, upping
their wages and attracting more of them. By doing so the worker is necessary to satisfy the needs of
the machinery, rather than industry existing to satisfy the worker s need. This process illustrates how
capitalism exploits workers for their labour. Yet migration provides the capitalist industry with a wide
array of wage labour. Scholar Jeff Manza explains how higher pay depends on whether or not the
product is profitable for the capitalist who owns the machinery to employ workers to operate. Marx
draws the conclusion that capitalism is the first economic system in which there can be too many
workers, with a large sum coming from migration as migrants are in search of economic development.
The influx of migrants to the US continues to create a class of uneducated proletarians who remain
unconscious of their role in unpaid labour. Immigrants become the primary source of cheap labour.
migrant labour has become manipulated in the world markets by successful capitalist countries,

The Revolution Of Modernism And The Mesopotamian Architecture
A building is designed for functionality. This principle has served as the cornerstone of architecture in
the United States and throughout the world since the first hut of the Mesopotamian civilization. As the
centuries go by, this principle started to deviate. With a series of political debris left over from the
World War II, the Cold War and the revitalizing economic policies of the Reagan Era, Canadian
American architect Frank Gehry was able to shatter the established architectural norm of the modern
era and pen an iconoclastic style called deconstructivism in the postmodern 1980s, leaving a
resounding legacy in the architecture industry.
The social and political debris remaining by the end of World War II and the Cold War stifled the
possibility of a new architectural movement. The revolution of modernism, a form of architecture in
which function dictated form, in the postwar decades turned into a routinized corporation that headed
towards unpromising directions as it instigated the diminishment of architectural meaning and artistic
expression. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even after completing in 1978, the house still appeared to be under construction, wrapped in materials
out of an industrial catalogue. The house retained its essence as a perpetual construction site,
exemplifying Gehry s contradictory mixture of the ordinary and the avant garde. Combining
modernist form making with common materials, he had the courage to exploit the implicit freedom of
the American middle class neighborhood. This method became a first in the United States and caught
the attention of critics. In spite of the first evidence of an imminent prominence, Gehry had to hone
the power of architecture to counter the forces of capital; otherwise, its capacity to sustain any critical
role could be largely

Comparing Parents In The Glass Menagerie By James Williams
My parents love to live vicariously through me, especially my mother, and while I understand their
inclination to do this, it can make them a bit controlling of my actions. Williams exhibits in The Glass
Menagerie the damaging effects of overbearing parents on the mental and emotional growth of their
children. In the play, the mother inhibits the development of her children because she tries to control
her children s lives, which takes away the ability to become independent and focus on personal needs.
Amanda treats Laura like a child and constantly makes decisions for her, and she and keeps him from
enjoying his life. Amanda belittles Laura s self ownership which makes Laura immature and helpless
as an adult. When the subject of gentleman callers comes up, Amanda addresses Laura, saying, How
many do you suppose we re going to entertain this afternoon? [...] [reappearing, airily] What? No one
not one? You must be joking! [Laura nervously echoes her laugh] (Williams 18). Amanda is caught up
in her dreams of marriage for Laura, made clear by her enthusiastic tone and body language, but Laura
s uncomfortable laugh shows how she is not amused by her mother s aspirations. Amanda is only
focused on what she wants for Laura, but she should really be concerned with what Laura wants for
herself. In addition, Amanda cannot accept the fact that her daughter is not going to have any suitors;
she denies reality and tries to bring Laura into her world of illusions. This irresponsible parenting
causes Laura to become the childish adult that she is. When Amanda questions where Laura was going
instead of business college, Laura explains that, I went in the art museum and the bird houses at the
Zoo. I visited the penguins every day! [...] Lately I ve been spending most of my afternoons in the
Jewel Box, that big glass house where they raise the tropical flowers (21). Laura is twenty three years
old and she is getting excited about visiting attractions meant for kids. She would rather explore the
Zoo, an art museum, or a greenhouse than attend college, exhibiting her immature and irresponsible
mindset. This juvenile behavior is what leads to Laura s helplessness. While on the fire escape,
Amanda tells Laura to make a

Factors Affecting The Homeless Epidemic Essay
4. Different There are a lot of factors that construe the homeless epidemic. Factors the contribute to
homelessness includes job loss, divorce, domestic abuse, foreclosure of home, serious illness, mental
and physical illness, substance abuse and even natural disasters all help to contribute to homelessness.
Which shows it can happen to anyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion and even social class.
Even with government regulations, there can occur a loss of financial sustainability by zoning
regulations resulting in eminent domain over people s properties when they have no place to go and
with the high cost of housing either for purchase or to rent have skyrocketed. These people really do
not have a choice but to be homeless and at the bottom of the caste system deemed the untouchables .
The homeless have become the hunters and gatherers of modern society. They feed themselves by
begging, scavenging, and raiding garbage for (particularly that of restaurants) food. (Kottak p234)
Even when factories relocate to other countries where labor is cheaper, cost families, their livelihood
and for some that is the only job skill they have, these people would eventually become homeless if
they cannot secure another job with the same or lower job skills that they possess. And also due to the
fact that the migrants are being housed first and been providing care over U.S. citizens with this
current administration. The Obama Administration has made it very clear that

Global Economic Meltdown Of 2008
To establish effective policies in order to enhance ethics in corporate America and prevent significant
catastrophes such as the global economic meltdown of 2008 we need to propose new ethical policies
and standards in our corporate system. Ethical issues must be on the strategic agenda! Integrity
management should be a priority not only because it is legally required, but because it is the right
thing to do. This memorandum will analyze the proposed ethical policies such as strengthening
auditors independence and strengthening audit committee to make reforms in existing corporate
sector.
Strengthening business ethics by improving audit quality
One of the most important factors that plays a huge role in the success of a company is ethics, which
can have long term impact on the company. It does not matter how high the company s profitability
level is, if there is unethical behavior or a lack of corporate social responsibility it will eventually
damage company s reputation and make it less appealing to stakeholders.
The last global economic crisis that cost the world trillions of dollars, a continued recession, millions
of lost jobs, a huge loss of confidence in financial markets and a reversal in our efforts to cure global
poverty was result of the combination of several leading factors; and the failure of business ethics was
one of these factors that strongly contributed to this global financial turmoil.
It is proven that during economic recession many companies

Little Bison Basin Prehistory
Little Bison Basin Prehistory Prior to the last ice age, the entire region of the Great Plains is believed
to have been an inland sea known as the Western Interior Seaway. As this seaway receded, large
animals including mammoths and saber toothed tigers lived in the area. The majority of these animals
became extinct to the region around 13,000 years ago during one of the ice ages. The great plains are a
vast region of North America that spreads from Canada nearly down to the Coast of Texas. This region
is comprised of primarily flat grounds with the exceptions of the larger mountain ranges including the
Rockies. Within this region is the Little Bison Basin, a stretch of the Great Plains where glacial rivers
feed into the larger Whiskey River. Nevin Feneman in his 1916 study defines this region as, The term
Great Plains , for the region west of about the 96th or 98th meridian and east of the Rocky Mountains,
was not generally used before the early 20th century. As vast as the region is, there are many trends
that run throughout not the least of which is the obvious glacial carving. The Little Bison Basin has a
relatively new history shrouded in mystery and revealed through its many glaciers and carved out
regions. Prior to and into the ice age, this entire region was a frozen wasteland, lifeless and barren. In
fact, it was so barren that no people had even ventured into the area. During the last ice age, however,
there were enormous glaciers formed that drank the

Analysis Of When Dreams Come True
Art is the expression of one s creative skill, which can be expressed in many different forms.
Sculptures, paintings, clothing, music, and poems are just a few of the vast art forms. Artwork comes
not only in different forms, but different styles as well, such as abstract, representational, and
nonrepresentational styles, which are some of the most common in the world of art. When it comes to
the history, medium, and technique of an artwork, there are two specific pieces that really stand out to
me. When Dreams Come True by Leonid Afremov and Mariposa by Beatriz Milhazes are two
masterfully crafted works of art that caught my eye almost immediately. Leonid Afremov is a modern
impressionistic style of an artist. Impressionist paintings seek to recreate the viewer s or artists general
impression of a depicted scene. The style is generally characterized by faint outlines and small
brushstrokes of various colors, that the eye tends to blend together at a distance. Representational is a
word commonly used to describe art forms that relate to the natural world in which we live in and are
easily translated by the audience, which is exactly what Leonid Afremov did with When Dreams
Come True while using abstract, or out of the ordinary, colorways. The history behind this artwork is
shown in the 19th century impressionistic style that is used as well as the vibrant and contrasting
colors used. Afremov took advantage of this color palette in order to get a message across that

Triangle Factory Fire Research Paper
What were the survivors thoughts? These are the survivors thoughts on the Triangle Factory Fire.
There was over 100 survivors but I choose two of the most important people who lived from the fire
and I am sharing their thoughts. Rose Freedman was the last survivor from the Triangle Factory Fire.
Rose Freedman was born on March 27, 1893, in a small town north of Vienna. Her family ran a
profitable business importing and exporting dried foods. After her father visited New York and fell in
love with it, the family began spending more time in the United States. She was given the job of
operating a large machine to attach buttons to the blouses, at the factory. When the fire had started
Rose tried to escape, so she went up to the 10th floor thinking she would be safer, once she got up to
the tenth floor she realized those people already left on the elevator to escape and then she realized at
that point the only thing she could do is jump. As she was on the tenth floor she saw multiple girls that
had skirts on fire. Once Rose got help from someone else to get out of the building she saw her dad,
and she just cried and cried but then she realized that her dad had fainted and at that moment she knew
that she wasn t going back to work, so instead she went to college. The person who locked the doors

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
The movie, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, is a historical fiction. It occurs some time in China
under a dynasty. Some of the events that happened in this movie relate to some of the material that we
covered in class. One event that happened was when Jen and her family travels through the desert and
were attacked by Lo and his Dark Cloud on horses. In my interpretation, I believe that Lo and his gang
of bandits, displayed some similarities to The Mongols. As seen in the movie, they rode and fought on
horses, were nomadic, and lived by raidings, which are things that Mongols are known for. They use
horses for mobility and height against their enemies. When Lo and Jen are in Lo s cave, he assumes
that she is part of a Han dynasty, but she corrects ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Earlier in the movie, porcelain and silk were displayed.
Normally in East Asia, silk and porcelain were apart of the Chinese trading goods to parts of Europe,
which we discussed in class. It s a historical fiction because, let s be real, there weren t any flying
Chinese people sword fighting in a bamboo forest nor on rooftops. Maybe some of the events were
inaccurate because the director, Ang Lee, was Taiwanese or wasn t so sure about the concept, so
instead of hitting it straight on the nail, he decided to put some inaccuracy into the film. Also, I am not
so sure if they did tea ceremonies in China like they did in Japan, but in one scene in the movie, you
can see that Shu Lien purposely drops her tea while Jen catches it before it completely falls to the
floor. Shu Lien then figures that Jen is the one who stole the Green Destiny. As mentioned in a lecture,
we talked about Yin and Yang. I think that there could be some depictions of yin and yang inside the
movie. Since the movie is mainly female based, you could possibly see where I am coming from. Yin

Observation Of Daya
During this past week, I was enjoying some relaxation time from my busy and hectic schedule and
watching some Netflix. I was watching an episode of Orange Is The New Black, form Season 1. The
overall summary of the episode that I was watching was that there was an inmate, Daya, who was
pregnant from one of the prison guards who also happens to be her boyfriend. In a panic of trying to
protect the boyfriend/prison guard from being fired once it is figured out that Daya is pregnant,
multiple inmates work together in coming up with a plan trying to help out Daya. The helpers include
Daya s family members, people from the same race, and a couple random women from a different
clique. It was a little odd that all these inmates were working together trying to help out Daya in such
an involved and difficult situation. All of these women who are usually at each other s throats are now
working together trying to come up with solutions. In addition to this, the solution that the group
decided on, was given by one the women from the outside clique, which was odd. However, we later

Color Blindness Essay
Color Blindness
Many people refer to problems with one s ability to see color as color blindness, however, unless a
person can t see any color at all, color vision problems should be called by another term. Common
terms are abnormal color vision, color deficiency and color vision confusion. Females maybe be
effected by color blindness, but usually they are just carriers. Males are more often affected. About 8%
of males and 0.5% of females are effected by color blindness. Although color blindness may be a
result of another eye disorder, the majority of color blind cases are hereditary and present at birth. The

This is the rarest form of color blindness. This is when no colors can be seen at all. The color receptors
are almost completely gone in this form, however, the white and black receptors remain intact.
However, this condition is often misdiagnosed without proper testing. There are three basic types of
color blindness: deuteranopia, protanopia and tritanopia. Deuteranopia is a condition in which people
have trouble dealing with green. These people are one of the largest groups of color blind people. Very
often, these people also have a problem with red. These people can often distinguish red or green
when with other colors, but when it is by itself, it is very difficult. Many people will just see it as
white. Protanopia are those seem to need an abnormal amount of red or have no sense of red color
vision. Often, people will see bold red as black or nonexistent. Some people may see red orange as
brown and yellow green as brown. In other words, neither red or green can often be distinguished for
sure. Tritanopia are those who have trouble distinguishing blue and yellow. This disorder is much less
common than the red green colorblindness, and is usually acquired, not received through heredity.
These people may see both blue and yellow as white. They may even see mint green or pink as an
equal to light blue. Red color blindness is the most common. This is when the red color receptors are
nonexistent. These

Effective Communication Theorists
Effective communication skills are incredibly important to all professionals in order to develop
successful workplace relationships and promote appropriate, respectful client care and professional
client relationships. Using the 4Rs framework to structure this essay, this documentation is a reflection
of the discussed communication skills from the conducted interview with a high school teacher to
inform whether effective communication skills are crucial to develop successful relationships within
the workplace and professional client relationships. Relevant themes that arose out of the interview
material were identified and are going to be discussed and analysed. In addition, ideas from the

beacon of hope for Sub Saharan Africa. Formerly a colony of France, this French speaking nation is
one of the few countries in Africa to never have a coup d état or establish an authoritarian government.
It is internationally recognized for its Islamic traditions, diverse ethnic groups, fishing, dancing,
baobab trees, and hospitality referred to as la Teranga. With the population 90% Muslim, Senegal s
10% Christian minority has long been accepted making their country an international model for
religious integration and tolerance. Despite such stability and glowing democratic accomplishments,
Senegal s sociopolitical progress has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This mortality statistic is intensified in children under age 5. The Research Center for Human
Development in Dakar constructed a program in order to estimate the nationwide burden of malaria in
all regions. They led the Senegalese survey effort to collect rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs) and Blood
smears of a representative random sample of 320 clusters and 9600 households throughout Senegal
(Giardina et al., 2012). Geographically, those from the Southeastern region possess the greatest risk of
contracting the malarial parasites (Figure 1). This is significant because this region is extremely rural
with the least accessibility to hospitals and clinics. This region also has the highest amount of rainfall
which facilitates reproduction in the mosquito population (Littrell et al., 2013). The northern region of
the country has the lowest rates. This is given its proximity to the dry Sahara Desert whose climate is
much less conducive to breeding mosquitos. Fortunately, much progress has been made in reducing
the burden of malaria since the early 2000 s. In 2005, US President Bush issued the President s
Malaria Initiative (PMI) which offered $1.265 billion to fight malaria (PMI, 2013). This has had a
significant impact on the battle against malaria in Senegal. The Global Malaria Action Plan has also
contributed solutions in collaboration

Analysis Of Disney Cartoons From Disney
I watched all of THE BOOZE HANGS HIGH, RED HOT RIDING HOOD, MONKEY DOODLE,
FAST AND FURRY OUS, and AN OPTICAL POEM. These animations were very different from the
likes of Disney. I noticed that almost all of these animations were meant for adults definitely not
children. I also realized that the animation styles were different from Disney. Pigs drinking booze, Red
Riding Hood as a burlesque singer, lustful monkeys looking at naked female monkeys with proper
human anatomy, Road Runner being blown to smithereens by Coyote. Just think about all the scenes I
just described. Would you want your children being exposed to these things? I believe most
commendable parents even nowadays would say HELL NO!! I was baffled and surprised at how
cartoons of this time were not meant for kids. This seemed so backward to me, growing up watching
LOONEY TOONS as a kids show. I think that cartoons started this way due to the people who were
going out to the movies and watching these cartoons were adults. Adults don t want to watch cartoons
that appeal to children when they are on a date or trying to get time away from their kids. In contrast,
from Disney, the competition saw an untouched market. Disney quickly began to focus their cartoons
toward children. The competition, on the other hand, marketed to a more mature audience. Making
studios like Warner Brothers have a lucrative stake in the animation business. The hilarity of it is that
these days THE LOONEY TOONS cartoons are kid friendly they won t even show the episode where
Elmer Fud kills Bugs Bunny. The fact that the competitor s studios decided to aim for a more mature
audience shows me two things. The first is the studios did not believe they could compete head to
head with Disney. Lastly, it shows that the studios were not scared to create cartoons that were lewd.
In essence, the competing studios handled their published animations in a business minded way. They
decided not to compete head on with Disney but to offset themselves from Disney s audience and
reach the audience that made and held the money. In PLANE CRAZY no background is the same. In
MONKEY DOODLE and FAST AND FURRY OUS, we observe the same background scene used
more than once in a scene that

What Is The Theme Of Camaraderie In All Quiet On The...
The Horror of Camaraderie In the book All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Remarque and the
essay In the Field by Tim O Brien there is a common theme, camaraderie and the horrors of war.
Camaraderie is when soldiers in the war are helpful towards each other when it comes to things such
as survival during the war. Horrors of war can be shown by seeing the death of a camarade. Since
there is camaraderie shown in both of these pieces it exemplifies the other theme, the horrors of the
war because they are often seeing their camarades fall. In the book All Quiet on the Western front the
theme camaraderie is shown often. A scene that really sticks out that shows camaraderie is when Paul
and Albert are both shot, and Albert has to get his leg amputated. When Paul and Albert are on the
train Albert becomes feverish and is going to be let off at the next stop, Paul told Albert we stick
together; you see and sticks the thermometer under his armpit to make it appear as if he too had a
fever (Remarque 249). Paul shows camaraderie towards Albert because he keeps his ... Show more

In All Quiet on the Western Front when Paul separated from Albert it was very hard. But a man gets
used to that sort of thing in the army and since Albert mentioned commiting suicide multiple times
Paul infers that once his friend gets home, he will commit suicide (Remarque 269). In the piece In the
Field Kiowa drowns in the muddy water while they are camped out one night. Lieutenant Cross, the
young soldier and Azar all thought they were responsible for his death; However, whenever a man
died it was always the same, a desire to get over it quickly, with no fuss or ceremony (O Brien). All

Joyce Yang Research Paper
When Van Cliburn International Piano Competition Silver Medalist and piano superstar Joyce
Yang comes to my mind, I think of an artist who has the astounding ability to splash many
brilliant colors to a canvas in an engaging way that brings me awe. In fact, she is known as a
pianist who sees music in a colorful way, and she brings those feelings to her music through her
very unique style of interpretation and disposition. She also has a way of drawing the audience
into the engaging musical world that she is pouring out on stage in such a way that causes you to
forget where you are until the applause begins.
I had just that experience the other night when I decided to drop by the Honolulu Museum of
Art s acclaimed Doris ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Joyce Yang powerfully emoted those characteristics at the
piano by playing in a serious, commanding manner as though she were playing a Russian piano
concerto with broad chords. The piano greatly filled the theater through her very big sound
which blew away many of the pianists in attendance because the particular piano that she played
on has a heavy action. Although heaviness can easily lead to harshness on the piano, Joyce Yang
showed absolutely none of that at all and made her deep parts very emotionally heart wrenching
instead which I really appreciated because it is not easy for some people to find that balance.
The third movement was played in a very light and carefree manner that felt very refreshing
because it gave the audience a break from the two previous fierce movements. It had a very
exotic, comedic, and dance like feel to it which Joyce Yang presented in a very fun way that
had my fingers wanting tapping the rhythm. In the final movement, she showcased some
charming innocence that reminded me of the third movement s mischievousness. I thought
that this movement would continue to be lighthearted until the end, but I was very deceived.

The Federal Definition Of Foster Care
Donella H. Meadows defines a system as a set of elements or parts that is coherently organized and
interconnected in a pattern or structure that produces a characteristic set of behaviors (Meadows,
2014, p. 188). The federal definition of foster care is a 24 hour substitute care for children placed
away from their parents or guardians and for whom the State agency has placement and care
responsibility (Johnson, 2004). Therapeutic foster care is a subsystem of the suprasystem which is
foster care. The Quality Foster Care Services Act defines therapeutic foster care as foster care which is
highly effective in placing children with serious medical, psychological, emotional, and social needs
into a home in which foster parents are specially trained to address the needs and challenges of the
children (U.S. Senators Baldwin and Portman Lead Effort to Improve Foster Care Services for
America s Most Vulnerable Youth, 2014).
Goals, elements, and concepts
Goal of the system
Many systems are goal oriented. They interact with the environment in order to achieve a specific goal
or target. The primary goal of placing a child in the TFC agency with medically fragile children is to
meet the medical and mental health needs present (Youth, 2014). Additionally, a sense of permanency
is the end goal for all children in the suprasystem of foster care. This would come by way of returning
the child back to their original home with their parents or guardians or having the child adopted by

Purpose Of Workers Compensation Insurance
Small business can expect to pay around $2,000 to $3,000 in Workers Compensation Insurance
premiums annually, where the premiums raise with number of covered employees.
There is a minimum requirement for Employer liability coverage in Workers Compensation, required
by law, of $100,000 to $500,000 per employee for body injury claims.
Workers compensation insurance aims to provide coverage to employer for medical costs in the event

work environment. When employers do not meet these standards, lawsuits can follow. However, even
if these standards are in place, accidents can still happen, and this is when workers compensation
insurance is used.
Most states consider workman s comp claims to be no fault meaning it is irrelevant whether your
employer s negligence (carelessness) contributed to your work related injury or occupational disease.
Workman s comp insurance will cover any injury or illness that is job related . That includes actions
associated with work that may not occur at the physical job site i.e. during travel. Workers

The Importance Of Communication And Effective...
Success in any environment is built around efficient and effective communication. Successful
communication requires clear, concise and correct information being delivered in a form which cannot
be misinterpreted or misunderstood. Through communication, we attempt to convey thoughts and
objectives to others, with the intention of achieving successful performance.
Communications can only be successfully understood when both sender and receiver comprehend the
same information and in current times with industries technology progressively developing and at a
fast pace it has become increasingly important for individuals to have good communicational skills.
For section 1 of the module I will be identifying and explaining the relevance of the effective
communication in management, this will be achieved by analyzing the relevance of the
communication cycle by understanding the key importance of using both the 5 C s of communication
and selecting the correct tone, language and level of formality for management communications. This
process will be assessed in both verbal and written communication methods.
For the second section of the module I will reflect and develop effective communications skills. I will
develop criteria and create a questionnaire to evaluate my own abilities in verbal and written
communications. Using the feedback received from my colleagues I will identify strengths and areas
which require improvement.

  • 2. Conflicting Parties Case Study Analysis Conflicting Parties Case Study Analysis When working in tight quarters, there are countless ways of unintentionally impeding on a colleague s work habits. Due to a shared office, Brian and Jon are no exception. While striving to complete work tasks through the means each is comfortable with and accustom to, each individual s work style habits imposes on the other s. Unfortunately due to space limitations, separating Brian and Jon to two separate offices is not a possibility. However, through thoughtful conflict resolution, Brian and Jon can negotiate the means to more forward working together, without continuing to distract the other with their own work style. Conflict Resolution In broad terms, conflict resolution refers to the process two or more individuals utilize in order to reach an agreement to a dispute or debate (Miall, Ramsbotham Woodhouse, 1999). While there are many specific components to conflict resolution, the application of each facet is strongly tied to the specifics of each individual conflict. In the case of Brian and Jon s office space conflict, the pair should examine the relevant concepts of fractionation, framing, reframing, and common ground. Ultimately, if the two colleague s cannot reach an agreement(s) on how to move forward working together, mediation can be utilized as a last resort. Fractionation As one of the many components of conflict resolution, fractionation is a concept which should be utilized early in the conflict resolution ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Where The Grand Canyon And Lake Mead Collide Where the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead collide, sits an ecological and historical oasis. The Virgin Mountains stand tall in the background as waterfront views of Mead paint an unforgettable scene. This desert abode served as host for early prehistoric inhabitants, Native Americans, early pioneers, Spanish miners, and presently outdoor enthusiasts. Adventurists have the opportunity to explore over 800 miles of intertwining roads that braid the landscape. Gold Butte has remained one of Mojave s most precious secrets for decades. This elegant desert hides only an hour and a half drive east of Las Vegas and just south of Mesquite Nevada. Gold Butte s ecosystem is comprised of diverse organisms, many of which are sacred and protected plants and animals. Joshua trees sit nestled deep in the mineral enriched sand, while the bighorn sheep and tortoise roam the vast desert terrain. The almost 350,000 acres of public land is sculpted with rugged mountains, sandstone outcroppings, yucca forests, slot canyons, and flat top mesas. Is it possible that a place with such a unique array of wildlife and history can exist and remain a secret? Unfortunately, due to many factors over the past 20 years, Gold Butte has been on center stage, but not just for tourism. The technological uses of smart phones, GPS, digital maps, internet, and even social websites have made it inherently impossible to keep public lands a secret. However, Gold Butte s fame did not sprout from technology or social ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Analysis Of The Television Show Saved By The Bell Essay Millennials Are Determined In the television show Saved by the Bell, the character Zach Morris a high school student failed to have enough credits to graduate high school. Zach demonstrated his determination to make up a class in order to graduate on time with his class. A failed experience motivates millennials to keep trying until the goal is accomplished. We use our past experiences as an encouragement to succeed in education. Higher education opens the door to better job opportunities for generation Y. Having a similar experience in high school includes me of this generation. Once informed regarding low grades it motivated Zack to put more work and effort because a passing grade is required in order to graduate. Schools educate the millennials to enter the workforce. Generation Y is special because they are the largest group of people schooled in history, have the nature to own a business and be their own boss, and work for a meaningful cause, not just money. Generation Y is special because we face challenges that influence us to succeed. In Paul Angone s article 3 Major Challenges Facing Millennials he states, Millennials are the Largest, Most Educated Generation in History (Angone 2). • 6. The Roaring Twenties Summary The Roaring Twenties written by Joshua Zeitz exemplifies the 1920s as a time full of grace, but not without its hardships. The author states that there was an era of liberation for women, and many contemporary ideas were introduced. New ideals were being popularized and a different generation was evolving, even with the disapproval of others. Although it was a glitzy and glamorous time, the economy was being strained and eventually reached a breaking point. Even though there was a depression in the beginning and the end of the 1920s, this period was met with beauty, allure, and fascination. The rise of female emancipation created a modern look for women. Flappers contributed to the social aspect of the new democracy. Described as northern, urban, young, and single, these women loved the nightlife. These girls enjoyed jazz clubs or vaudeville shows. Along with these state of the art activities came a huge increase in citizens living in cities. For the first time in America s history, more people were living in cities than on farms and villages. Zeitz writes that ...theaters were selling 5 million tickets a week, a sum equal to roughly half the U.S. population! Like film, radio sales boomed. The annual sales for radios were $852 million, and twelve million households owned them. Even teenagers were embracing the freedom of the twenties. • 7. Essay On The Black Swan 1. The Black Swan : The impact of the Highly Improbable by Nassim Taleb is a great article that caught my attention the article gives insight on why people cannot predict the future. Even if humans try really hard they cant. We try to generalize things but there is no proof that there is a possibility that other ideas are out there. The example that Im thinking of is the black swan. In history so many people have tried to predict so many historical events that have happened. They have someway predicted the dates to these events. Even though they predicted the dates the event didn t happen according to plan. No one can predict the future of our world. Black swans being unpredictable we need to adjust to their existence. Thousands of people of New Orleans and parts of Mississippi were not helped. This made me realize if an organization like FEMA wants to be successful in the future they need to have System thinking as one of their key focus. This will help them when an another natural disaster like Katrina comes. Senge states that System thinking is a discipline for seeing the structures that underlie complex situations, and for discerning high from low leverage change. That is, by seeing wholes we learn how to foster health. (Senge 69). If a complex organization uses system thinking in every decision that has to be made then many problem can be cut down and that means you can limit the uncertain failures that come with a complex organization. The organization has to make sure that they are prepared and ready for any problem that is thrown at them. System thinking can help an organization be successful at the end of the day. The one thing that be very important is strategies which helps cut down the unforeseen failures within complex organizations. The complex organizations will face failures without planning properly or without having great guidance from a leader. Perfect examples of how to cut down risk for complex organizations is the way Thad Allen approach the rescue missions of Hurricane Katrina. An organization that should have been ... • 8. Marx Theory Of Reserve Army Of Labour , rather than reducing migration, economic development increases migration. Marx theory of reserve army of labour is central to what he has to say about capitalism and workers wages; the proletariat. Most migrants in society today migrate to the US and end up working in factories where they manage machinery. Marx theory illustrates how capitalist industries consists of two parts the machinery and the workers. Capitalist industries expand by sukingin their workers to operate the machinery, upping their wages and attracting more of them. By doing so the worker is necessary to satisfy the needs of the machinery, rather than industry existing to satisfy the worker s need. This process illustrates how capitalism exploits workers for their labour. Yet migration provides the capitalist industry with a wide array of wage labour. Scholar Jeff Manza explains how higher pay depends on whether or not the product is profitable for the capitalist who owns the machinery to employ workers to operate. Marx draws the conclusion that capitalism is the first economic system in which there can be too many workers, with a large sum coming from migration as migrants are in search of economic development. The influx of migrants to the US continues to create a class of uneducated proletarians who remain unconscious of their role in unpaid labour. Immigrants become the primary source of cheap labour. migrant labour has become manipulated in the world markets by successful capitalist countries, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. The Revolution Of Modernism And The Mesopotamian Architecture A building is designed for functionality. This principle has served as the cornerstone of architecture in the United States and throughout the world since the first hut of the Mesopotamian civilization. As the centuries go by, this principle started to deviate. With a series of political debris left over from the World War II, the Cold War and the revitalizing economic policies of the Reagan Era, Canadian American architect Frank Gehry was able to shatter the established architectural norm of the modern era and pen an iconoclastic style called deconstructivism in the postmodern 1980s, leaving a resounding legacy in the architecture industry. The social and political debris remaining by the end of World War II and the Cold War stifled the possibility of a new architectural movement. The revolution of modernism, a form of architecture in which function dictated form, in the postwar decades turned into a routinized corporation that headed towards unpromising directions as it instigated the diminishment of architectural meaning and artistic expression. ... This method became a first in the United States and caught the attention of critics. • 10. Comparing Parents In The Glass Menagerie By James Williams My parents love to live vicariously through me, especially my mother, and while I understand their inclination to do this, it can make them a bit controlling of my actions. Williams exhibits in The Glass Menagerie the damaging effects of overbearing parents on the mental and emotional growth of their children. In the play, the mother inhibits the development of her children because she tries to control her children s lives, which takes away the ability to become independent and focus on personal needs. Amanda treats Laura like a child and constantly makes decisions for her, and she and keeps him from enjoying his life. Amanda belittles Laura s self ownership which makes Laura immature and helpless as an adult. When the subject of gentleman callers comes up, Amanda addresses Laura, saying, How many do you suppose we re going to entertain this afternoon? [...] [reappearing, airily] What? No one not one? You must be joking! [Laura nervously echoes her laugh] (Williams 18). Amanda is caught up in her dreams of marriage for Laura, made clear by her enthusiastic tone and body language, but Laura s uncomfortable laugh shows how she is not amused by her mother s aspirations. Amanda is only focused on what she wants for Laura, but she should really be concerned with what Laura wants for herself. In addition, Amanda cannot accept the fact that her daughter is not going to have any suitors; she denies reality and tries to bring Laura into her world of illusions. This irresponsible parenting causes Laura to become the childish adult that she is. When Amanda questions where Laura was going instead of business college, Laura explains that, I went in the art museum and the bird houses at the Zoo. I visited the penguins every day! [...] Lately I ve been spending most of my afternoons in the Jewel Box, that big glass house where they raise the tropical flowers (21). Laura is twenty three years old and she is getting excited about visiting attractions meant for kids. She would rather explore the Zoo, an art museum, or a greenhouse than attend college, exhibiting her immature and irresponsible mindset. This juvenile behavior is what leads to Laura s helplessness. • 11. Factors Affecting The Homeless Epidemic Essay 4. Different There are a lot of factors that construe the homeless epidemic. Factors the contribute to homelessness includes job loss, divorce, domestic abuse, foreclosure of home, serious illness, mental and physical illness, substance abuse and even natural disasters all help to contribute to homelessness. Which shows it can happen to anyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion and even social class. Even with government regulations, there can occur a loss of financial sustainability by zoning regulations resulting in eminent domain over people s properties when they have no place to go and with the high cost of housing either for purchase or to rent have skyrocketed. These people really do not have a choice but to be homeless and at the bottom of the caste system deemed the untouchables . The homeless have become the hunters and gatherers of modern society. They feed themselves by begging, scavenging, and raiding garbage for (particularly that of restaurants) food. (Kottak p234) Even when factories relocate to other countries where labor is cheaper, cost families, their livelihood and for some that is the only job skill they have, these people would eventually become homeless if they cannot secure another job with the same or lower job skills that they possess. And also due to the fact that the migrants are being housed first and been providing care over U.S. citizens with this current administration. The Obama Administration has made it very clear that ... • 12. Global Economic Meltdown Of 2008 To establish effective policies in order to enhance ethics in corporate America and prevent significant catastrophes such as the global economic meltdown of 2008 we need to propose new ethical policies and standards in our corporate system. Ethical issues must be on the strategic agenda! Integrity management should be a priority not only because it is legally required, but because it is the right thing to do. This memorandum will analyze the proposed ethical policies such as strengthening auditors independence and strengthening audit committee to make reforms in existing corporate sector. Strengthening business ethics by improving audit quality One of the most important factors that plays a huge role in the success of a company is ethics, which can have long term impact on the company. It does not matter how high the company s profitability level is, if there is unethical behavior or a lack of corporate social responsibility it will eventually damage company s reputation and make it less appealing to stakeholders. The last global economic crisis that cost the world trillions of dollars, a continued recession, millions of lost jobs, a huge loss of confidence in financial markets and a reversal in our efforts to cure global poverty was result of the combination of several leading factors; and the failure of business ethics was one of these factors that strongly contributed to this global financial turmoil. • 13. Little Bison Basin Prehistory Little Bison Basin Prehistory Prior to the last ice age, the entire region of the Great Plains is believed to have been an inland sea known as the Western Interior Seaway. As this seaway receded, large animals including mammoths and saber toothed tigers lived in the area. The majority of these animals became extinct to the region around 13,000 years ago during one of the ice ages. The great plains are a vast region of North America that spreads from Canada nearly down to the Coast of Texas. This region is comprised of primarily flat grounds with the exceptions of the larger mountain ranges including the Rockies. Within this region is the Little Bison Basin, a stretch of the Great Plains where glacial rivers feed into the larger Whiskey River. Nevin Feneman in his 1916 study defines this region as, The term Great Plains , for the region west of about the 96th or 98th meridian and east of the Rocky Mountains, was not generally used before the early 20th century. As vast as the region is, there are many trends that run throughout not the least of which is the obvious glacial carving. The Little Bison Basin has a relatively new history shrouded in mystery and revealed through its many glaciers and carved out regions. Prior to and into the ice age, this entire region was a frozen wasteland, lifeless and barren. In fact, it was so barren that no people had even ventured into the area. • 14. Analysis Of When Dreams Come True Art is the expression of one s creative skill, which can be expressed in many different forms. Sculptures, paintings, clothing, music, and poems are just a few of the vast art forms. Artwork comes not only in different forms, but different styles as well, such as abstract, representational, and nonrepresentational styles, which are some of the most common in the world of art. When it comes to the history, medium, and technique of an artwork, there are two specific pieces that really stand out to me. When Dreams Come True by Leonid Afremov and Mariposa by Beatriz Milhazes are two masterfully crafted works of art that caught my eye almost immediately. Leonid Afremov is a modern impressionistic style of an artist. Impressionist paintings seek to recreate the viewer s or artists general impression of a depicted scene. The style is generally characterized by faint outlines and small brushstrokes of various colors, that the eye tends to blend together at a distance. Representational is a word commonly used to describe art forms that relate to the natural world in which we live in and are easily translated by the audience, which is exactly what Leonid Afremov did with When Dreams Come True while using abstract, or out of the ordinary, colorways. The history behind this artwork is shown in the 19th century impressionistic style that is used as well as the vibrant and contrasting colors used. There was over 100 survivors but I choose two of the most important people who lived from the fire and I am sharing their thoughts. Rose Freedman was the last survivor from the Triangle Factory Fire. Rose Freedman was born on March 27, 1893, in a small town north of Vienna. Her family ran a profitable business importing and exporting dried foods. After her father visited New York and fell in love with it, the family began spending more time in the United States. She was given the job of operating a large machine to attach buttons to the blouses, at the factory. When the fire had started Rose tried to escape, so she went up to the 10th floor thinking she would be safer, once she got up to the tenth floor she realized those people already left on the elevator to escape and then she realized at that point the only thing she could do is jump. As she was on the tenth floor she saw multiple girls that had skirts on fire. Once Rose got help from someone else to get out of the building she saw her dad, and she just cried and cried but then she realized that her dad had fainted and at that moment she knew that she wasn t going back to work, so instead she went to college. • 16. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon The movie, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, is a historical fiction. It occurs some time in China under a dynasty. Some of the events that happened in this movie relate to some of the material that we covered in class. One event that happened was when Jen and her family travels through the desert and were attacked by Lo and his Dark Cloud on horses. In my interpretation, I believe that Lo and his gang of bandits, displayed some similarities to The Mongols. As seen in the movie, they rode and fought on horses, were nomadic, and lived by raidings, which are things that Mongols are known for. They use horses for mobility and height against their enemies. When Lo and Jen are in Lo s cave, he assumes that she is part of a Han dynasty, but she corrects ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Earlier in the movie, porcelain and silk were displayed. Normally in East Asia, silk and porcelain were apart of the Chinese trading goods to parts of Europe, which we discussed in class. It s a historical fiction because, let s be real, there weren t any flying Chinese people sword fighting in a bamboo forest nor on rooftops. Maybe some of the events were inaccurate because the director, Ang Lee, was Taiwanese or wasn t so sure about the concept, so instead of hitting it straight on the nail, he decided to put some inaccuracy into the film. Also, I am not so sure if they did tea ceremonies in China like they did in Japan, but in one scene in the movie, you can see that Shu Lien purposely drops her tea while Jen catches it before it completely falls to the floor. Shu Lien then figures that Jen is the one who stole the Green Destiny. As mentioned in a lecture, we talked about Yin and Yang. I think that there could be some depictions of yin and yang inside the movie. Since the movie is mainly female based, you could possibly see where I am coming from. I was watching an episode of Orange Is The New Black, form Season 1. The overall summary of the episode that I was watching was that there was an inmate, Daya, who was pregnant from one of the prison guards who also happens to be her boyfriend. In a panic of trying to protect the boyfriend/prison guard from being fired once it is figured out that Daya is pregnant, multiple inmates work together in coming up with a plan trying to help out Daya. The helpers include Daya s family members, people from the same race, and a couple random women from a different clique. It was a little odd that all these inmates were working together trying to help out Daya in such an involved and difficult situation. All of these women who are usually at each other s throats are now working together trying to come up with solutions. In addition to this, the solution that the group decided on, was given by one the women from the outside clique, which was odd. However, we later learn that the reason why she ... The color receptors are almost completely gone in this form, however, the white and black receptors remain intact. However, this condition is often misdiagnosed without proper testing. There are three basic types of color blindness: deuteranopia, protanopia and tritanopia. Deuteranopia is a condition in which people have trouble dealing with green. These people are one of the largest groups of color blind people. Very often, these people also have a problem with red. These people can often distinguish red or green when with other colors, but when it is by itself, it is very difficult. Many people will just see it as white. Geographically, those from the Southeastern region possess the greatest risk of contracting the malarial parasites (Figure 1). This is significant because this region is extremely rural with the least accessibility to hospitals and clinics. This region also has the highest amount of rainfall which facilitates reproduction in the mosquito population (Littrell et al., 2013). The northern region of the country has the lowest rates. This is given its proximity to the dry Sahara Desert whose climate is much less conducive to breeding mosquitos. Fortunately, much progress has been made in reducing the burden of malaria since the early 2000 s. In 2005, US President Bush issued the President s Malaria Initiative (PMI) which offered $1.265 billion to fight malaria (PMI, 2013). • 23. Analysis Of Disney Cartoons From Disney I watched all of THE BOOZE HANGS HIGH, RED HOT RIDING HOOD, MONKEY DOODLE, FAST AND FURRY OUS, and AN OPTICAL POEM. These animations were very different from the likes of Disney. I noticed that almost all of these animations were meant for adults definitely not children. I also realized that the animation styles were different from Disney. Pigs drinking booze, Red Riding Hood as a burlesque singer, lustful monkeys looking at naked female monkeys with proper human anatomy, Road Runner being blown to smithereens by Coyote. Just think about all the scenes I just described. Would you want your children being exposed to these things? I believe most commendable parents even nowadays would say HELL NO!! I was baffled and surprised at how cartoons of this time were not meant for kids. This seemed so backward to me, growing up watching LOONEY TOONS as a kids show. I think that cartoons started this way due to the people who were going out to the movies and watching these cartoons were adults. Adults don t want to watch cartoons that appeal to children when they are on a date or trying to get time away from their kids. In contrast, from Disney, the competition saw an untouched market. Disney quickly began to focus their cartoons toward children. The competition, on the other hand, marketed to a more mature audience. Making studios like Warner Brothers have a lucrative stake in the animation business. The hilarity of it is that these days THE LOONEY TOONS cartoons are kid friendly they won t even show the episode where Elmer Fud kills Bugs Bunny. The fact that the competitor s studios decided to aim for a more mature audience shows me two things. The first is the studios did not believe they could compete head to head with Disney. Lastly, it shows that the studios were not scared to create cartoons that were lewd. In essence, the competing studios handled their published animations in a business minded way. They decided not to compete head on with Disney but to offset themselves from Disney s audience and reach the audience that made and held the money. In PLANE CRAZY no background is the same. In MONKEY DOODLE and FAST AND FURRY OUS, we observe the same background scene used more than once in a scene that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Horror of Camaraderie In the book All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Remarque and the essay In the Field by Tim O Brien there is a common theme, camaraderie and the horrors of war. Camaraderie is when soldiers in the war are helpful towards each other when it comes to things such as survival during the war. Horrors of war can be shown by seeing the death of a camarade. Since there is camaraderie shown in both of these pieces it exemplifies the other theme, the horrors of the war because they are often seeing their camarades fall.
