What Are The Strength And Weaknesses Of Mining Industry In...
3. Not all the Glitters are Gold: The strength, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the Philippine
Mining Industry.
Strengths and Opportunities
Mining gives people some of the resources needed for modern civilization and job opportunities
Humans need a wide range of natural resources to create the products needed by the modern
civilization at the same time job opportunities. While alternative forms of energy are becoming more
viable, most nations need coal, natural gas, and uranium to provide energy. Similarly, oil is necessary
for powering vehicles and the transportation industry. Mining allows humans to use these resources.
The mining industry sector is a major backbone of the Philippine economy. The long history of the
industry has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because coal and oil release carbon dioxide when used as fuel, some argue that mining exacerbates
global warming. Others object to mining for the rare Earth elements essential to computer parts.
However, almost all experts of all political and moral stripes believe that mining will be necessary for
decades but that slowly phasing it out might be a wise goal.
4. Social Entrepreneurship: Going Beyond Providing Jobs for Every Juan.
Social entrepreneurs are individuals with innovative solutions to society s most pressing social
problems. They are ambitious and persistent, tackling major social issues and offering new ideas for
wide scale change.
Each social entrepreneur presents ideas that are user friendly, understandable, ethical, and engage
widespread support in order to maximize the number of local people that will stand up, seize their
idea, and implement it. In other words, every leading social entrepreneur is a mass recruiter of local
change makers a role model proving that citizens who channel their passion into action can do almost
anything.
Social entrepreneurs often seem to be possessed by their ideas, committing their lives to changing the
direction of their field. They are both visionaries and ultimate realists, concerned with the practical
implementation of their vision above all

Building Design of the Engineering and Computing Builiding...
Introduction
As an aspiring Architectural Technologist I will be expected to possess a variety of skills which are
valuable for any Architectural Technologist position. I will be studying and evaluating a building
design of the Engineering and Computing Building, Coventry. I am to assess the structure, identifying,
why the building was designed in the way it was, the impact, challenges and purposes. This will allow
me to understand the integration of architectural and structural design.
1.1 Design philosophy and aesthetics
The Engineering and Computing Building (ECB) was designed by Arup Associates and built by main
contractor Vinci. In designing this building Arup Associates were trying to create a sustainable
postmodern building, which would become a flagship for the university and a landmark in the centre
of the city. Designed to meet the university s long term needs in terms of improving the student
learning experience, using the building as a learning tool in itself.
The 15,000m² building is enclosed in a square, split into two L shaped blocks. Linked together by a
glazed entrance at the corner and separated by a large gap on the opposite corner.
The L block facing the south and west has been configured as the Nature block. This four storey
Nature wing features a green and blue roof planted with foliage, providing a variety of habitats to
encourage the local wildlife. Well known to attract insects that pipistrelle bats are known to prefer.

Essay about The Flood of Noah and Gilgamesh
The Flood of Noah and Gilgamesh With the discovery of texts from ancient civilizations, many people
have come to believe that various texts are common to one another. Examples of these texts are the
creation stories from the Hebrews found in the Bible, The Hymn of Ra from the Egyptians, and the
Enuma Elish stories from the Babylonians. In addition to these stories are the flood stories. These
stories have caused many discussions among scholars involved with ancient civilizations. The two
main stories largely discussed are the Genesis and Gilgamesh flood stories. Although different in
regards to the details, the main plot is similar between the two stories from two different civilizations.
Because of this similarity, many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once they are able to leave the ark, Noah and Utnapishtim prepare a sacrifice to their divine being(s).
When God smells the aroma from the sacrifice, he is pleased with the sacrifice and blesses Noah.
Similarly, when the gods in Gilgamesh smell the aroma, they also bless Utnapishtim. After the flood,
the Babylonian gods and the God of Noah both regret creating a flood. Although the plots are similar,
the details included in the stories have numerous differences. To begin, when Noah receives warning
about the flood and directions about how to build and fill the ark, he receives the message directly
from God. When Utnapishtim receives his message, Ea indirectly sends it through a dream. Another
difference in the story is the instructions on how to build the ark. In the bible, God tells Noah to build
the ark 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high (New International Version, Gen. 6:15). God
continues to tell him to make a roof and finish the ark to within 18 inches of the top (New
International Version, Gen. 6:16a). Then put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle, and
upper decks (New International Version, Gen. 6:16b). In Gilgamesh, Utnapishtim builds his ark 155
feet high, and the decks 175 feet wide. He also built a top deck and six lower decks (Matthews and
Benjamin 26).

Life Reflected In William Cullen Bryant s Poetry
William Cullen Bryant William Cullen Bryant was a man with many different abilities and he was
well rounded between political, religious, and writing matters. He had very strong opinions on matters
that greatly influenced the United States. William Cullen Bryant had many historical and political
contributions through his life as a writer and a free willed man.
William Cullen Bryant had a very successful early life. He was considered to be a puritan since a
young age. The religious training the young boy received at his hands left such a mark upon him that
Bryant the mature poet has sometimes been called a puritan (Unger 151). Bryant was pushed by his
father and his teachings to be a puritan and keep up puritan ways. Coming from Puritans, ... Show

These diverse issues included slavery, sectionalism, the national bank, currency stabilization, the
creation of Central Park, the need for prison reform, labor rights, copyright laws, and freedom of the
press ( Bryant, William Cullen 3). Bryant didn t want to be in politics but he used his writing to show
his opinion on all of his political related topics. Although he did not intend to be in politics, that was a
very strong area for him. Bryant joined the Democratic Party and made the Post an organ of free trade,
free speech, abolition, and workingmen s rights. He later was a founder of the Republican Party (
William Cullen Bryant 1). The topic of slavery was one of Bryant s biggest struggles. He had a very
strong opinion against slavery and was in some cases considered to be an abolitionist. Bryant devoted
his time to trying to stop the spread of slavery. Bryant s beliefs against slavery hurt the Evening Post
and was eventually hated in the south because of his edits against slavery. He put up the slogan above
the masthead of the editorials: Free Soil, Free Labor, Free Trade, and Free Speech, which was the
slogan for the Barnburner wing of the Democratic Party, which made people hate him even more (
Bryant, William Cullen 3). Bryant thought in a way that slavery would dissipate on it s own, but
however that was not the case. With many issues legally among the savery, he began to write

The Lorax, The Silent Spring And Moths Of The Limberlost
The only way forward, if we are going to improve the quality of the environment is to get everyone
involved (Richard Rogers). The environment is a beautiful thing if taken care of. Today there is much
pollution and other harmful items hurting the environment we live in. Ecocritism is the study of
literature and the environment together. Authors use ecocritism to educate readers about literature and
the environment. The Lorax, The Silent Spring and Moths of the Limberlost all show ecocritism. To
begin with, The Lorax, shows many different ways of ecocritism. Throughout the movie, The Lorax,
the Once Ler chopped down(deforestation) all the truffula trees in the forest. By chopping down all
the truffula trees, the bear s, the bird s and other animal s homes were destroyed. The Lorax tries to
stop the Once Ler from chopping the trees down and taking the homes away from animals. By
chopping the trees down, the Brown Bar Bel Loots(bears) could not eat the fruits the trees provided.
Cutting down the truffle trees, has also affect the food chain. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Like in the movie, the truffula trees are nonrenewable if no conservation takes places. The Lorax
shows us that the sunlight is an item that is renewable. As the truffula trees were being removed,
animals were being forced to emigrate(leave) because the environment was slowly deteriorating.
Finally, the Once Ler realized that by cutting down nonrenewable resources, his business would die
out, the Lorax was right about cutting trees down. Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
nothing is going to get better. It s

Financial Analysis Of Siriusxm s Subscription Based...
Financial Analysis SiriusXM s subscription based revenues, yielded the company $4.2 billion in 2014,
growing 10% year over year, continuing a decade long trend of revenue growth. In addition to revenue
growth, impressively high margins have produced free cash flow of $1 billion. Despite impressive
profitability metrics, financial struggles of the past are till casting long shadows in terms of debt and
outstanding shares, yet management is doing their best to dig themselves out of trouble. The key
metrics found below form the basis for industry comparisons and will discussed further hereafter. With
$4.2 billion in revenue, SiriusXM is the industry leader of subscription based revenue, while
iHeartMedia leads the way with $6.2 billion in advertising based revenues. When comparing gross
margin, which represents the percent to total revenue that the company retains after covering its cost
of goods sold, we see SiriusXM leads the way with 62%. This means they are retaining more on every
dollar of revenue that any of their competitors. Taking it one step further, looking at operating profit
margin, which determines how well the company can pay creditors and create free cash flow, we again
see SiriusXM quite handedly leading the industry at 27%. With such a healthy operating margin, it s
no surprise free cash flow is a major strength of the company, clearing $1 billion in 2014. Free cash
flow is extremely important as it allows organizations to pay down debt, develop new

Itemized Tax Deductions for Individuals: Data Analysis
Summary
Reforming or limiting itemized tax deductions for individuals has gained the interest of policymakers
as one way to increase federal tax revenue, increase the share of taxes paid by higher income tax
filers, simplify the tax code, or reduce incentives that might lead to inefficient economic behavior.
However, limits on deductions could cause adverse economic effects or changes in the distributional
burden of the federal income ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, certain combinations of deduction limits may shift some tax filers to claim the standard
deduction instead of itemizing. In this case, the revenue increase by limiting itemized deduction would
be partially offset by more tax filers claiming the standard deduction.

Router and Switches
Router and Switches II In Routers and Switches we learned several things such as: what is a Router,
why we need Routers, what is the importance of a Router. We also learned what VLSM is and how to
do it and use it. Throughout CCNA we learned how to configure a Router; the different types of
Routing protocols and most importantly what, when and how to use those protocols in the field.
Finally I will discuss Switches in how they are use to set up a LAN. Throughout this paper these topic
will be discuss to cover what was learned through class lecture and text book (CCNA study guide by
Lammle) and actually applied through hands on labs which were done with actual Cisco Router and
Switches within a working LAN and Ethernet connection ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The most common of the two link state protocols is OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) it is widely used
throughout the field (#1) due to it being a non proprietor protocol as well as its ability to interface with
other networks. With OSPF you can group router into small areas and link them through a back bone
when this is done you create the following a back bone router within the area of the back bone there is
an area border router (ABR), ABR must have one interface in each area meaning the back bone and
the area trying to link to the back bone, OSPF can also connect to multiple Autonomous System.
When configuring OSPF you must assign a process number in all router within that group must use
that same number, the number can range for 1 to 65,535 you can also have more than one each one
will maintain its own separate topology table as well as manage it independently. There is also
distance vectors RIP vs. 1 and 2 (Routing Information Protocol) these work well on small networks,
IGRP (Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) and EIGRP (is the enhanced version of IGRP). The thing
about these two meaning IGRP and EIGRP is that they are proprietary protocols so they only work

Character Analysis Of The Movie Still Alice
The movie Still Alice takes place in New York and is about a very well known linguistics professor
who gets diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer s. At the beginning of the movie we see her at the very
beginning stages of her diagnosis. Her symptoms started off very minor. For example, when she gives
her speech at UCLA we see that she ends up forgetting what she s trying to say and ultimately loses
her train of thought. We also see her start to forget words as well as get lost when she goes for a jog.
At that point in time, Alice decides that she needs to see a doctor because she thinks she has a brain
tumor. The doctor decides that a MRI is necessary to find out what exactly was going on. At this point
in the movie, Alice has not told anyone about what has been going on with her memory or about going
to the doctor to get it checked out. Now, it is Christmas time and she is shown preparing Christmas
dinner. While cooking she forgets some of the names of kitchen utensils and even forgot that she had
already met her son s girlfriend. Therefore, her memory is continuing to deteriorate. After Christmas
she goes back to the neurologist where she finds out that she needs to do a PET due to the doctor
being concerned about her memory problems. At this time, she decides to tell her husband what is
going on as she is starting to get concerned. Shortly after, they are given the new that she does in fact
have early onset Alzheimer s and that it is genetic. As the movie continues, we

Melanoma Research Papers
Melanoma
Skin Cancer is the abnormal division of skin cells which cause tumors in the body. There are 3 types
of Skin Cancer: Melanoma, Basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma (Web Md, year). Skin
cancer is caused by the exposure of ultraviolet radiation and UV like factors (Skin Cancer Foundation,
2015). This paper focuses on a specific type of skin cancer called Melanoma.
Melanoma is a fatal kind of skin cancer caused by ultraviolet radiation and sunshine (Skin Cancer
Foundation, 2015). It creates melanin, and increases the production of skin cells which results in
tumors (American Cancer Society, 2015). Melanoma emerges from the skin cells and the basal layer
of the epidermis, and rapidly spreads into other body parts (Skin Cancer ... Show more content on

Early detection of melanoma can save many lives and lead to minor cancers (Skin Cancer Foundation,
2009). Patient skin self examination (SSE), physician directed total body skin exams (TBSE), and
patient education are the best methods to early detection (Skin Cancer Foundation, 2009). These ways
and methods can also help detect cutaneous melanoma, basal cell cancer, and squamous cell skin
cancer (Skin Cancer Foundation, 2009). In order to early detect yourself or conduct any screenings,
you must know the signs and symptoms of Melanoma. The most common signs are the different kinds
of moles: a growing, an unsually looking mole on the skin, and a non uniform mole which has an odd
shape and colors (American Academy of Dermatology, 2015). Another important rule to always
follow when looking for signs for this skin cancer is the ABCDE rule (American Cancer Society,
2015). A is for Symmetry, this means that one half of a mole or birthmark does not match the other. B
is for Border, the edges are irregular, ragged, or blurred. C is for Color: the color is not always same; it
may be different shades of colors. D is for Diameter: the spot is larger than 6 millimeters across.
Finally E is for Evolving: The mole is changing in size, shape, or color (American Cancer Society,

What Is The Theme Of The Crying Of Lot 49
The Crying of Lot 49 is a 1966 novella written by Thomas Pynchon amidst the spike in social and
political turbulence in the United States of America. The 1960s saw the rise of drug culture, the
Vietnam War, John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King s assassination, the massive rise of the Civil
Rights fight and many other milestone events. Pynchon s novella carries the perceptive sense of chaos,
quite possibly influenced by two things: one, the decade that he was living and writing in and two, that
this was one of his earliest novels. The text explores the consequences of decisions, illusions and
conspiracies all taken on by the protagonist Oedipa Maas.
One of the main themes of the short piece is communication. This is explored greatly in the ... Show

The Crying of Lot 49 lives up to it s satirical nature in mocking Fallopian and later many other
radicals to signify the extremist nature of real life character s facades in the 1960s. By making such a
political statement, Pynchon could be making a reference to the 1964 elections in which the
Democrats snatched all the votes from Congress from right up under them. Chapter 3 is also very
important as it serves as our first introduction to the evasive Tristero . Oedipa goes in to watch the
production of The Courier s Tragedy thinking of bones, hears the word Tristero , and comes out
thinking only of the word. She herself later realizes this. It is possible that the bones could have been
another red herring to throw us off the plot. This novella seems to be entirely made up of red

The Importance Of Copper Abuse In Australia
Copper was the first metal used by man in 7000 BC. They used copper a lot in the bronze ages for
swords. They use copper now in TV wirings, charges and mobile phones. Copper ore is mined both
underground and on the surface. They dig large excavations formed called open pit mines. There are
about .5 oz. of copper in your mobile phone. That s more than all the other metals in your phone and
weighs 15% of your phone.
The biggest mine in Australia is the Olympic dam. It produces 55000 tonnes of copper. The Olympic
dam is in the centre of South Australia, and 550 kilometres in Adelaide.
Australia first discovered copper at Kapunda, South Australia in 1842. Copper is mined in Qld, Nsw,
SA, WA and Tasmania. Copper is only not mined in Vic and Nt. Nsw has the most mines in Australia
but Qld produce more copper because their mines are bigger .Copper is found mainly in the earth s

The Sources of English Law Essay example
The Sources of English Law In UK there are three main sources of English law, Legislation (Statue
Law), Common Law (Judge made Law) and the European Communities law. English Law was
historically based on customs and social traditions. Today Custom Law is a part of Common Law,
notably being in cases where there was no judicial precedent but which were known to exist since time

Parliament can delegate the power to legislate to various bodies such as local authorities, the Crown
and ministers. Delegated legislation has same legal force and effect as the Act of Parliament. The
advantages of delegated legislation are: time saving, access to particular expertise and, flexibility. On
the other hand it can be a disadvantage due to lack of accountability and effective scrutiny as it can
erode the constitutional powers of the Parliament. Another major source of law comes from judges
deciding cases before them, also referred to as Case Law. Judges use various rules to interpret
legislation and the intention of the Parliament. For example, in the case of Royal College of Nursing v.
DHSS [1981] 1 All ER 545, three judges gave their judgment using the mischief rule and two judges
used the literal rule to interpret the Abortion Act 1967, and the intention of the Parliament (173 and

[1994] 4 All ER 48 decided in the House of Lords. The court re interpreted the legislation so that a
husband could be found guilty of raping his wife. Stare decisis or binding precedent is at the heart of
the English legal system and case law is particularly dependent on it. It refers to

While the gods were viewed as powerful during the Trojan War , they were also divided amongst

Drug Abuse in the NFL What is the definition of drugs? Is it the simple explanation of a substance we
consume that is alien to our bodies, for better or worse? Or is it much more complicated than that?
Many would agree that people use them as an escape from reality, a way to hide their pain in life, or a
way to deal with stress. People who use illegal drugs for their own benefit, whether it s for stress
release or for performance enhancement, are drug abusers. In today s society drug abuse is very
common. Millions of Americans smoke weed, snort coke, or do heroin and other hardcore drugs. The

In recent months leading up to now, there have been quite a few cases of players abusing drugs, which
have led the NFL to consider changes to the policy. There are a handful of specific areas that have
been revised recently; these include HGH
Testing, Appeals, DUI Discipline, PED Discipline, Marijuana Threshold, and Marijuana
Discipline (DUI and PED discipline has been ramped up, and marijuana policy is more lax). The
NFL wanted to ease up on the punishments given out on marijuana abuse, and focus on cracking down
on DUI s and PED s. The punishments given are varied by what offense the player commits. For one
of the most popular of drugs, marijuana, a first time offender will be placed in a substance abuse
program without any suspension. A second offense leads to a two game fine. Each additional violation
leads to a four game fine, a four game suspension, and then a 10 game suspension. So, a player can
test positive for marijuana three times without getting suspended (DUI and PED discipline has been
ramped up, and marijuana policy is more lax). With DUI s however, the league has become stricter. In
the past, a first time offender was not suspended. Today you get a two game ban for your first
violation. Second time offenders get an 8 game suspension and aggravating circumstances can
lengthen the suspension. (DUI and PED discipline has been ramped up, and marijuana policy is more

Friendship And True Friendship
Have you ever had the feeling like someone knows you better than yourself? Frequently surrounded
by so called friends or acquaintances, as I like to call them, where a connection between people is
little to nonexistent. Whereas having a true friend is someone who s there for you no matter what, for
the marvelous and the dreadful. It s theses kind of true friends that will have one s back, they are loyal,
trustworthy, and a valuable person to have in anyone s life. To better understand what the word friend,
it s important to know the history. To begin with, it derives from Middle English the word friend
means love, attachment, and feeling that of a relative. First notably used in the twelfth century.
Therefore a friend is someone who listens to what one is saying and cares about them their feelings
and opinion. On the other hand, at times it feels like my friendships are a bit one sided, where I do the
majority of listening. As a result of this, I ve discovered a notable difference between a friend and a
true friend, in a friendship; there are talkers and listeners. Except in a true friendship, where neither
claim a specific role, both are talkers and the listeners. Thus it s fair to say a true friend is someone
who can laugh at me, and make fun of my awkward moments with me, and vice versa. In other words,
it s these types of friends are the best because, we work as a team, both sides adding to the
relationship. However, it s more than using someone as a gossip pal or to

Drugs could also become a sport of its own by athletes looking for the best drug possible and find
drugs that can turn them more into creature than human. Then sports will truly not be sport, it is going
to become a shot race for the next injection. This situation could only go for so long until a
detrimental situation happens when in the middle of the usage of PEDs, a life is lost from not using

Compare Qualitative And Pragmatic Approach
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to compare qualitative and quantitative approaches to research
investigation in social science. After further examination of the relevant literature, a pragmatic
approach has also been taken into consideration within this paper. I will discuss in detail about human
perception and assumption and the impact that this can have on research investigation. I will critically
discuss and compare the epistemological differences of quantitative and qualitative research
approaches with an additional focus on a mixed method approach. I will consider the strengths and
weaknesses of the three approaches, the differences in the research design and methodologies and
present a logical academic argument to detail my understanding. ... Show more content on

Creswell (2003) refers to paradigms as worldviews which he believes to have four elements; post
positivism, constructivism, transformative and pragmatic. Guba (1998) refers to positivism as a
separate entity from other paradigms such as post positivism and constructivism. Tashakkori and
Teddlie (1998) talk about those paradigms discussed by Guba with an addition of pragmatism and
(Shadish, 1995) talks about the concept of logical positivism . Bryman (2004) refers to positivism and
interpretivism and differentiates these from its variations; phenomenology and symbolic
interactionism. To clarify and make myself feel slightly better Morgan (2007) explains that social
scientists can talk about paradigms and each easily mean something entirely different. Morgan talks
about four versions each version treating paradigms as shared belief system influencing the knowledge
that researchers seek. He uses this concept of a paradigm as his main basis for discussion within his
document. (Scotland, 2012) explains that different paradigms consist of differing ontological and
epistemological views and therefore present differing assumptions of reality and knowledge which is
embedded within their research approach. Kuhn (1970) details paradigms as epistemological stances

Brief Summary In Edgar Allan Poe s The Raven
Losing a loved one can be one of the most difficult things that a person may have to endure in their
life. The author of the poem The Raven , Edgar Allan Poe, had to endure several devastating losses
throughout his life, including the loss of his mother, his adopted mother, and his wife all to
tuberculosis. This intense loss shows very clearly in his different works. The Raven is a poem about a
man who has lost the woman he loves and is very lonely until he begins to imagine a Raven and
eventually becomes even more depressed. While others may disagree, the Raven in Edgar Allan Poe s

that he will never again be happy nor escape his sadness. The Speaker imagines a shadow enveloping
him in the quote And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor/ Shall be lifted
nevermore! (Poe 107 108). In this scene, the Speaker is sitting in the shadow of a statue of the goddess
of wisdom, Pallas. The shadow symbolizes the Speaker s inability to escape his sorrow and the
shadow completely envelopes, or covers, the Speaker. He imagines that the Raven is the one casting
the shadow but his sadness and loneliness drive him to imagine the bird in his head. When he says,
Shall be lifted nevermore! (Poe 108), he realizes that there is absolutely nothing that he can do to help
himself. He is beginning to seem relieved, when all of the sudden, the mood is slammed back into
darkness by the word nevermore (Poe 108). This word proves the Speaker s worst fears that he will
not be able to escape the sadness and doom that he has created for himself. Poe s word choice proves
that the Speaker is the one to create his sense of doom, not the

Introduction
Enzymes are proteins, in which it speeds up the chemical reaction. Enzymes can be seen as proteins of
adjustments of chemical reactions, and they are macromolecules. Enzymes are made from amino
acids. When an enzyme if established, it is produced by linking combined between 100 and 1,000
amino acids in a very particular and distinctive sequence (How stuff works, 2017). Their 3D structure
determines their function. Enzymes are essential to life because they accelerate metabolic reactions to
a very great expansion, but do not experience any change in themselves (WebFinance, 2017). Catalyst
helps the reaction transpire rapidly or more regularly. Enzymes can make some positive charged
making the reaction easier to happen. The molecule that is going to bind with the enzymes is called
substrate. A substance that speeds up chemical reaction without being a reactant is called a catalyst
(Khan Academy, 2017). They all bind together at the active site, where the reaction happens. It is

I Have An Avid Golfer
I have been an avid golfer, ever since I was five years old. I aspired to be like the profession ladies I

LPGA event. At this age, it would be perfect, because I am young enough that I can get into these
tournament for free with an adult, and I am old enough that I would know what to watch for when I
am there. The only problem was, I had to pick a tournament that I could possibly be able to play in
one day. For most tournaments, there are certain requirements you have to meet to play in. Also, all of
the LPGA events were not close to Nebraska, they are all either on the coasts of the U.S. or in another

For professionals, that already have their tour card, they can enter into this tournament, along with
either being on the top 20 in tournament winnings, top 50 on the money list/Rolex Rankings, or again
have a sponsorship. So, in my dreams I could possibly qualify and participate in this tournament one
day.
There are around 160 players that qualify for this tournament and play on Thursday and Friday, but to
play for the weekend, they have to make the cut. To make the cut, the players have to shoot four over
par, which makes for high competition to make the cut. This would leave around 70 ladies that would
make the cut that get to play the rest of the weekend.
A few days before my dad and I leave for the tournament, I mentally prepare myself to know what I m
going to look for while I m there, so I can hopefully apply what I see to improve my game. This would
be a great learning experience for me. To watch the professionals and evaluate their swings,
alignment, etc. to apply to my golf game. So, when I start getting serious about golfing and enter high
school or enter into summer tournaments, I can be ahead of the game. Also, to know what kind of
competition I will have to deal with if I ever enter into this tournament.
So, my dad and I get to our hotel Wednesday night. We settle in before the next day to go to the
tournament. Thursday morning, we wake up bright

2) Social implication of this fetish 3) Commercial implications and cashing on this fixation. Historical
Background The worship of white complexion and projection of the ideal beauty as fair skinned is not
a new concept if we try to track it down he history lane. In fact, this concept has engrained in our
physc by our culture from the ancient times. The Varna system of Social classification When Aryans
(natives of Arctic and hence fair skinned) invaded the Indus Valley, they drove the darker skinned
inhabitants down south. The ones who remained were called as das and made to do subjugated jobs as
labourers, cleaners and even undertakers. Hence in the social classification, they were allotted the
lowest rung. As time progressed and with continuous labour in the sun, the das came to be associated
with dark colour and simultaneously fair colour started to be associated with affluence and aristocracy.
Hence, the social classification, the caste system was very aptly called as the Varna system, Varna
meaning colour . Mythology If one observes ancient Indian texts on mythology and related epics, it is
easy to observe a very common pattern. Almost in all Indian texts the hero of the epic who mostly is
from a noble family is endowed with radiant fair skin , the likes of sun and the diabolic

Essay about Lucid Dreaming
An individual obtains about seven to eight hours sleeping per night and according to the dream
encyclopedia (2009) we spend approximately one third of our lives in a state of sleep, much of the
night filled with dreams (p.16). Judith Duerk, who is a well renowned writer, refers to a dream as an
alternate course which can change a person s entire life. The Dream Encyclopedia points out that the
meaning of a dream would be, a spiritual world distant from the physical, in no way demeaning their
definition, but a dream is a way to motivate a person spiritually in order to physically and mentally

Hypnosis And The Psychological Aspects Of It
What is psychological hypnosis; rather it is what we have perceived it to be since we were young

controversial methods of psychological treatment. The myths and misconceptions associated with
hypnotherapy mainly come from people s ideas about what we know as stage hypnotism . (Barrett,

Even though this technique seems simple, there are many factors to it. One factor is the client s
susceptibility and willingness to use the approach. Another factor is the experience and skill of the
hypnotherapist. The last factor is the extent of the problem and the severity of it. (Ryder, 2010)
Although hypnosis seems very simple and always worth trying because, there are no down side , there
are limitations to the technique. (Ryder, 2010) The first limitation is that one cannot be hypnotized
against ones will. Second, hypnosis cannot make one perform behaviors that are contrary to ones
morals and values. So overall, one is very unlikely to commit criminal or immoral acts under the
influence of hypnosis, unless of course one finds such actions acceptable. Hypnosis also cannot make
one stronger than his or her physical capabilities or perform new talents. Although hypnosis can
enhance ones physical skills or athletic skills only if, the hypnosis increases ones self confidence and
concentration. (Hockenbury, 2012)
A hypnotic trance is not therapeutic in itself, but specific suggestions and images spoken to the clients
in a trance can alter their behavior. As they rehearse, the new ways in which they want to think and
feel they lay a base for these changes in their future actions. Barrett gives one example of this
technique. He states, I often tell people who are trying to quit smoking that they will go hours without

component at the same time. 1. Introduction Fama and French (1988) introduce that there is a slow
mean reverting of stock prices, and the speed of mean reverting for smaller firms is faster. This is the
same idea that no one can obtain excess return using historical prices patterns, under the market
efficiency. This is because all stocks have permanent component, which is the random walk and drift,
and temporary component, which is the stationary error term, in their model. Thus, prices will be
slowly decayed a temporary component when it moves far away from the mean. In this study, I follow
their fundamental idea that stock prices have permanent and temporary components under the market
efficiency. However, I would like to employ the vector error correction model to capture the
permanent equilibrium component and the temporary dynamic component with a long period of panel
data, rather than generating yearly returns by each decile portfolio. The major benefit of the vector
error correction estimation method is that we can directly compare the speed of adjustment between

Fluoride Mouth Rinses
Focus on Fluorides: Update on the use of Fluoride for the Prevention of Dental Caries This article is
based on the negative and positive impacts of fluoride uses. Topics discussed include: updates on
community water fluoridation, fluoride available in dentifrices, and fluoride varnish, use and
recommendations. Fluoride is the first line of defense, along with education, for preventing caries.
Fluoride is the only compound recognized by the FDA for the prevention of dental caries (Carey,
2014). Fluoride comes primarily from fluoridated community water, toothpastes, and mouth rinses.
The intake of water and processed beverages in the United States provides about 75% of a person s
fluoride intake (Carey, 2014). Community water fluoridation began ... Show more content on

Products that contain sodium fluoride (NaF) as the active ingredient also need to have sufficient
detergent to prevent the fluoride ions from reacting with the silica abrasives forming insoluble
fluorosilicates (Carey, 2014). There is a large effort to develop reliable methods of measurement of
available fluoride. The difficulty in achieving the analytical methods is related to the large variety of
ingredients used in toothpaste products and the different forms of fluoride delivered during tooth
brushing (Carey, 2014). There are three categories of fluoride form toothpaste during tooth brushing:
free ionic fluoride which has the ability to react with tooth structure, interfere with microbial
metabolism, absorb to the oral mucosa, and has anticaries efficacy; profluoride compounds that are
delivered or precipitate in the oral cavity during brushing, release ionic fluoride over time, and
contribute to anticaries efficacy; and unavailable fluoride compounds that do not release fluoride ions,
are either spat out or swallowed, and have no anticaries efficacy (Carey, 2014). Monofluorophosphate
is an example of a profluoride compound that is hydrolyzed to release ionic fluoride through salivary
enzyme action (Carey, 2014). The total and potentially available fluoride can be

Dual Relationship Of Dual Relationships
Dual relationships in therapy practice are identified as an ethical issue and a boundary violation
(Sawyer, and Prescott, 2010). According to Sawyer and Prescott (2010), this is based in part on the
concepts that the relationships are not equal, the client is vulnerable, and that the primary
responsibility of the clinician is to make care of the client the first priority. Dual relationships are
defined by Syme (2003), as arising in any situation where a therapist assumes more than one
significantly different role either simultaneously or sequentially with a client . This type of
relationship typically refers to two roles overlapping each other. A type of a dual relationship that I
could imagine occurring is taking on family or friends as clients. This is a dual relationship because
the therapist is acting as a professional and as a friend or family member to the client. An example of
this would be as follows, Susan is attempting to enroll her 6 year daughter into an elite private school.
The school requires that an intellectual assessment be completed before the final enrollment stages are
complete. Susan asks her brother, a licensed child psychologist to perform the assessment. The results
revealed that there were some low performance areas and the little girl s IQ was not up to par with the
school s requirement. For this reason, the school decided not to move forward with the enrollment
process. Susan was upset with her psychologist brother for not making

Description Of The Pituitary Gland And Its Function
Figure 4: Hypothalamic and anterior pituitary glands (right)
Description of the pituitary gland and its function
Use both the flat and 3D models to visualize the following characteristics of the pituitary and its
location
Morphology mechanisms
A tiny almond sized organ
The pituitary gland is composed of three lobes: Anterior, intermediate (smallest) and posterior (see the
figure on the right)
Anterior pituitary (AP): Hormones (up regulation and down regulation) are controlled by the
hypothalamic hormones. The AP is divided into three parts or pars: the pars tuberalis, pars intermedia
and pars distalis.
The posterior pituitary develops as an extension of the hypothalamus and its cells (known as the
magno cellular neuro secretory cells have its cell bodies in the hypothalamus and its axons projecting
into the posterior pituitary.
The anterior pituitary (adenohypophysis) arises from the oral ectoderm while the posterior pituitary
(neurohypophysis) originates from the neuro ectoderm.
The following diagram shows the location and histology of pituitary gland
Figure 5: the location of the pituitary gland (upper left) and its anatomy (upper right). The middle is a
schematic drawing of the pituitary and the lower (from left to right) are: histology of the anterior
pituitary, the pituitary histology, pars nervosa and distals and at far right is a section in the posterior
pituitary.

Manliness Wins Wars
Well, Manliness Wins Wars* or Who Needs These Heroes?*
Introduction
Acknowledging the interconnectedness of gender and warfare is unavoidable in contemporary
literature on the subject. War s ability to enhance men s authority and magnify the distance between
femininity and masculinity (Cockburn 2010, pg. 144) has lead to the prominence of the subject in
contemporary feminist studies. Understandably the majority of recent literature has been directed
towards war s impact on women and the feminine . This limitation, however, fails to take into account
the way in which men and their interests, their notions of manliness, and masculine micro and macro
cultures (Nagel 2006, pg. 243) impacts on politics and war. If we accept that nations and ... Show

I attempt to look at the concept of heroism and how it was interwoven with the development of
American nationalism through the rhetoric of George W. Bush following the attacks of 9/11. I also
contrast the rhetoric of Jacques Chirac following 9/11 and that of François Hollande following the
recent attacks in Paris. These would suggest, I argue, that when faced when with immediate and
confronting violence hegemonic masculinity is used to legitimise violent international relations (or
war). If correct, this perhaps provides an insight into how societies could seek to organise their affairs
in a manner that would strive to avoid warfare altogether.
What is gender and masculinity?
I note here that when considering gender this essay accepts the notion put forward by Cohn that it is
necessary to focus on gendered discourses, rather than gendered individuals (Cohn 1993, pg. 228). In
other words rather than only looking at words and language it will consider
a system of meanings, of ways of thinking, images and words that first shape how we experience,
understand, and represent ourselves as men and women, but that also do more than that; they shape
many other aspects of our lives and culture (Cohn 1993, pg. 228).
It is to be understood as a set of variable, but socially and culturally constructed relational
characteristics that determine how we experience and understand ourselves as men and women, but
that also interweaves with other discourses and shapes them (Brunner 2008, pg.

Alexander At Issus
The artworks I am going to write about are The Battle of Alexander at Issus by Albrecht Altdorfer, and
Third of May,1808 by Francisco Jose de Goya. While The Battle of alexander at Issus is an example
of Northern Renaissance, and Third of May, 1808 is an example of Romantic art. Both these artworks
are important as they both share the theme of War, but the outcome is completely contrasting. The use
of colors in both these works are also completely opposite and it prove further how the same theme
can be depicted in completely different ways by artists belonging to different periods.
During the Northern Renaissance Albrecht Altdorfer was one of the most distinguished painters
known for his expressively detailed landscapes. The Battle of Issus ... Show more content on

Romantic Era was more expressionistic and was facing very turbulent times, which is very evident in
the forbiddingly dark artwork by Goya. Even though the main theme is about war in both these
paintings, the different eras and the different society inspired two very different outcomes. In The
Battle of Issus Altdorfer uses nature to convey harmony, and the victory of man over man. The
celestial drama above the vast landscape correlated with the human contest below raises the scene to a
cosmic level. The painting is full of bright, wonderful, and creative images that easily amaze people
the more they look at it. Although the ant like people fill the painting with chaos and the incredible
sky gives off power you can still feel a sense of peace. While on the other hand, Goya, in spite of
being emplyed by the Court, remained a revolutionary. He hated authority in any form: priests,
soldiers, officials; and he knew that, given the chance, they would exploit the helpless and keep them
down by force. It is this feeling of indignation which gives symbolic force to the man in the white
shirt, to the pitiful body sprawling on the ground in a welter of blood, and to the batches of fresh
victims who are being driven forward out of the

about how to behave and the world around her. Since she lost her vision at such a young age, teaching
Helen who was blind and deaf was impossible to a family who didn t have the proper knowledge
about the disabilities. Consequently, they pitted her;

  • 3. Building Design of the Engineering and Computing Builiding... Introduction As an aspiring Architectural Technologist I will be expected to possess a variety of skills which are valuable for any Architectural Technologist position. I will be studying and evaluating a building design of the Engineering and Computing Building, Coventry. I am to assess the structure, identifying, why the building was designed in the way it was, the impact, challenges and purposes. This will allow me to understand the integration of architectural and structural design. 1.1 Design philosophy and aesthetics The Engineering and Computing Building (ECB) was designed by Arup Associates and built by main contractor Vinci. In designing this building Arup Associates were trying to create a sustainable postmodern building, which would become a flagship for the university and a landmark in the centre of the city. Designed to meet the university s long term needs in terms of improving the student learning experience, using the building as a learning tool in itself. The 15,000m² building is enclosed in a square, split into two L shaped blocks. Linked together by a glazed entrance at the corner and separated by a large gap on the opposite corner. The L block facing the south and west has been configured as the Nature block. This four storey Nature wing features a green and blue roof planted with foliage, providing a variety of habitats to encourage the local wildlife. • 4. Essay about The Flood of Noah and Gilgamesh The Flood of Noah and Gilgamesh With the discovery of texts from ancient civilizations, many people have come to believe that various texts are common to one another. Examples of these texts are the creation stories from the Hebrews found in the Bible, The Hymn of Ra from the Egyptians, and the Enuma Elish stories from the Babylonians. In addition to these stories are the flood stories. These stories have caused many discussions among scholars involved with ancient civilizations. The two main stories largely discussed are the Genesis and Gilgamesh flood stories. Although different in regards to the details, the main plot is similar between the two stories from two different civilizations. After the flood, the Babylonian gods and the God of Noah both regret creating a flood. Although the plots are similar, the details included in the stories have numerous differences. To begin, when Noah receives warning about the flood and directions about how to build and fill the ark, he receives the message directly from God. When Utnapishtim receives his message, Ea indirectly sends it through a dream. Another difference in the story is the instructions on how to build the ark. In the bible, God tells Noah to build the ark 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high (New International Version, Gen. 6:15). God continues to tell him to make a roof and finish the ark to within 18 inches of the top (New International Version, Gen. 6:16a). Then put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle, and upper decks (New International Version, Gen. 6:16b). In Gilgamesh, Utnapishtim builds his ark 155 feet high, and the decks 175 feet wide. He also built a top deck and six lower decks (Matthews and Benjamin 26). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He later was a founder of the Republican Party ( William Cullen Bryant 1). The topic of slavery was one of Bryant s biggest struggles. He had a very strong opinion against slavery and was in some cases considered to be an abolitionist. Bryant devoted his time to trying to stop the spread of slavery. Bryant s beliefs against slavery hurt the Evening Post and was eventually hated in the south because of his edits against slavery. He put up the slogan above the masthead of the editorials: Free Soil, Free Labor, Free Trade, and Free Speech, which was the slogan for the Barnburner wing of the Democratic Party, which made people hate him even more ( Bryant, William Cullen 3). On the other hand it can be a disadvantage due to lack of accountability and effective scrutiny as it can erode the constitutional powers of the Parliament. Another major source of law comes from judges deciding cases before them, also referred to as Case Law. Judges use various rules to interpret legislation and the intention of the Parliament. For example, in the case of Royal College of Nursing v. First notably used in the twelfth century. Therefore a friend is someone who listens to what one is saying and cares about them their feelings and opinion. On the other hand, at times it feels like my friendships are a bit one sided, where I do the majority of listening. As a result of this, I ve discovered a notable difference between a friend and a true friend, in a friendship; there are talkers and listeners. Except in a true friendship, where neither claim a specific role, both are talkers and the listeners. Thus it s fair to say a true friend is someone who can laugh at me, and make fun of my awkward moments with me, and vice versa. The purpose was using the original procedure as the control group. The dependent variable was used by Keywords: Lorem, ipsum, dolor Introduction Enzymes are proteins, in which it speeds up the chemical reaction. Enzymes can be seen as proteins of adjustments of chemical reactions, and they are macromolecules. Enzymes are made from amino acids. When an enzyme if established, it is produced by linking combined between 100 and 1,000 amino acids in a very particular and distinctive sequence (How stuff works, 2017). Their 3D structure determines their function. Enzymes are essential to life because they accelerate metabolic reactions to a very great expansion, but do not experience any change in themselves (WebFinance, 2017). Catalyst helps the reaction transpire rapidly or more regularly. Enzymes can make some positive charged making the reaction easier to happen. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In his study, Jeong (2016) found an important strength of Google Drive was its cultivation of collaborative learning and construction of collective knowledge. This was crucial to students educational experience because it provided another outlet for peer interactions and the distribution of knowledge (Jeong, 2016). Jeong (2016) discovered 90% of students appreciated the Google Drive platform for the ways in which it enhanced active communication, autonomous class participation, mutual collaboration, and dynamic classroom interaction (Jeong, 2016, p. 1). When students are satisfied or perceive learning tools in a positive manner, they are more likely to be motivated to use them in an effective way (Jeong, 2016). Further, Tan and Yongbeom (2011) examined how well Google Docs facilitates group or organizational collaboration through its ability to allow users to work asynchronously. They concluded when using Google Docs for a group project, the perceived usefulness was statistically significant and positively affected satisfaction, a factor which has a strong influence on the continued use of the application (Tan and Yongbeom, 2011). In a study using similar variables of perceived use and ease of use, Davis (1989) found students perceptions of how manageable Google applications were correlated with current and future usage. • 39. Permanent And Temporary Components Of Stock Prices Using... This paper reexamines the permanent and temporary components of stock prices using the vector error correction estimation method. Fama and French (1988) show that a slow mean reverting component adjusts stock prices by constructing decile portfolios by firm size. In this context, I would like to propose the model that able to consider dynamic time varying component and long term stable component at the same time. 1. Introduction Fama and French (1988) introduce that there is a slow mean reverting of stock prices, and the speed of mean reverting for smaller firms is faster. This is the same idea that no one can obtain excess return using historical prices patterns, under the market efficiency. This is because all stocks have permanent component, which is the random walk and drift, and temporary component, which is the stationary error term, in their model. Thus, prices will be slowly decayed a temporary component when it moves far away from the mean. In this study, I follow their fundamental idea that stock prices have permanent and temporary components under the market efficiency. However, I would like to employ the vector error correction model to capture the permanent equilibrium component and the temporary dynamic component with a long period of panel data, rather than generating yearly returns by each decile portfolio. The major benefit of the vector error correction estimation method is that we can directly compare the speed of adjustment between permanent ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. Fluoride Mouth Rinses Focus on Fluorides: Update on the use of Fluoride for the Prevention of Dental Caries This article is based on the negative and positive impacts of fluoride uses. Topics discussed include: updates on community water fluoridation, fluoride available in dentifrices, and fluoride varnish, use and recommendations. Fluoride is the first line of defense, along with education, for preventing caries. Fluoride is the only compound recognized by the FDA for the prevention of dental caries (Carey, 2014). Fluoride comes primarily from fluoridated community water, toothpastes, and mouth rinses. The intake of water and processed beverages in the United States provides about 75% of a person s fluoride intake (Carey, 2014). Community water fluoridation began ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Products that contain sodium fluoride (NaF) as the active ingredient also need to have sufficient detergent to prevent the fluoride ions from reacting with the silica abrasives forming insoluble fluorosilicates (Carey, 2014). There is a large effort to develop reliable methods of measurement of available fluoride. The difficulty in achieving the analytical methods is related to the large variety of ingredients used in toothpaste products and the different forms of fluoride delivered during tooth brushing (Carey, 2014). There are three categories of fluoride form toothpaste during tooth brushing: free ionic fluoride which has the ability to react with tooth structure, interfere with microbial metabolism, absorb to the oral mucosa, and has anticaries efficacy; profluoride compounds that are delivered or precipitate in the oral cavity during brushing, release ionic fluoride over time, and contribute to anticaries efficacy; and unavailable fluoride compounds that do not release fluoride ions, are either spat out or swallowed, and have no anticaries efficacy (Carey, 2014). Monofluorophosphate is an example of a profluoride compound that is hydrolyzed to release ionic fluoride through salivary enzyme action (Carey, 2014). The total and potentially available fluoride can be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. Dual Relationship Of Dual Relationships Dual relationships in therapy practice are identified as an ethical issue and a boundary violation (Sawyer, and Prescott, 2010). According to Sawyer and Prescott (2010), this is based in part on the concepts that the relationships are not equal, the client is vulnerable, and that the primary responsibility of the clinician is to make care of the client the first priority. Dual relationships are defined by Syme (2003), as arising in any situation where a therapist assumes more than one significantly different role either simultaneously or sequentially with a client . This type of relationship typically refers to two roles overlapping each other. A type of a dual relationship that I could imagine occurring is taking on family or friends as clients. This is a dual relationship because the therapist is acting as a professional and as a friend or family member to the client. An example of this would be as follows, Susan is attempting to enroll her 6 year daughter into an elite private school. The school requires that an intellectual assessment be completed before the final enrollment stages are complete. Susan asks her brother, a licensed child psychologist to perform the assessment. The results revealed that there were some low performance areas and the little girl s IQ was not up to par with the school s requirement. For this reason, the school decided not to move forward with the enrollment process. Susan was upset with her psychologist brother for not making ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 43. Manliness Wins Wars Well, Manliness Wins Wars* or Who Needs These Heroes?* Introduction Acknowledging the interconnectedness of gender and warfare is unavoidable in contemporary literature on the subject. War s ability to enhance men s authority and magnify the distance between femininity and masculinity (Cockburn 2010, pg. 144) has lead to the prominence of the subject in contemporary feminist studies. Understandably the majority of recent literature has been directed towards war s impact on women and the feminine . This limitation, however, fails to take into account the way in which men and their interests, their notions of manliness, and masculine micro and macro cultures (Nagel 2006, pg. 243) impacts on politics and war. If we accept that nations and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I attempt to look at the concept of heroism and how it was interwoven with the development of American nationalism through the rhetoric of George W. Bush following the attacks of 9/11. I also contrast the rhetoric of Jacques Chirac following 9/11 and that of François Hollande following the recent attacks in Paris. These would suggest, I argue, that when faced when with immediate and confronting violence hegemonic masculinity is used to legitimise violent international relations (or war). If correct, this perhaps provides an insight into how societies could seek to organise their affairs in a manner that would strive to avoid warfare altogether. What is gender and masculinity? I note here that when considering gender this essay accepts the notion put forward by Cohn that it is necessary to focus on gendered discourses, rather than gendered individuals (Cohn 1993, pg. 228). In other words rather than only looking at words and language it will consider a system of meanings, of ways of thinking, images and words that first shape how we experience, understand, and represent ourselves as men and women, but that also do more than that; they shape many other aspects of our lives and culture (Cohn 1993, pg. 228). It is to be understood as a set of variable, but socially and culturally constructed relational characteristics that determine how we experience and understand ourselves as men and women, but that also interweaves with other discourses and shapes them (Brunner 2008, pg. ... • 44. Alexander At Issus The artworks I am going to write about are The Battle of Alexander at Issus by Albrecht Altdorfer, and Third of May,1808 by Francisco Jose de Goya. While The Battle of alexander at Issus is an example of Northern Renaissance, and Third of May, 1808 is an example of Romantic art. Both these artworks are important as they both share the theme of War, but the outcome is completely contrasting. The use of colors in both these works are also completely opposite and it prove further how the same theme can be depicted in completely different ways by artists belonging to different periods. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Romantic Era was more expressionistic and was facing very turbulent times, which is very evident in the forbiddingly dark artwork by Goya. Even though the main theme is about war in both these paintings, the different eras and the different society inspired two very different outcomes. In The Battle of Issus Altdorfer uses nature to convey harmony, and the victory of man over man. The celestial drama above the vast landscape correlated with the human contest below raises the scene to a cosmic level. The painting is full of bright, wonderful, and creative images that easily amaze people the more they look at it. Although the ant like people fill the painting with chaos and the incredible sky gives off power you can still feel a sense of peace. While on the other hand, Goya, in spite of being emplyed by the Court, remained a revolutionary. He hated authority in any form: priests, soldiers, officials; and he knew that, given the chance, they would exploit the helpless and keep them down by force. It is this feeling of indignation which gives symbolic force to the man in the white shirt, to the pitiful body sprawling on the ground in a welter of blood, and to the batches of fresh victims who are being driven forward out of the ...
