For instance, it was failing to successfully penetrate the US Hispanic market. By visiting its own
Hispanic employees, it realised the Swedish standard of small couches and dining tables did not work
in an environment where extended families spend their time together. Therefore, it providing larger
furniture items in stores to target the Hispanic market, and extended this approach into other parts of
the world with similar culture (Mark, 2009). Furthermore, IKEA needs to understand that products
like home furnishing which demonstrating design and fashion have very strong ties with culture.

become part of the culture over the time.
IKEA provides vast variety of home products from furniture, bed, tables, chairs, to home decoration,
and kitchen accessories. At the heart of the IKEA strategy was its product range which founder of the

company Ingvar Kampard called Our Identity (Bartlett, Nanda 1996). IKEA is recognized world wide
for its innovative approach toward business and stylish designs. The company has used innovation for

Underage Drinking Cause
About 7.7 million Americans between ages 12 20 report current alcohol consumption; this represents
nearly 20% of this age group for whom alcohol consumption is illegal. Among 12 20 year olds,
reported rates of past month consumption, binge drinking and heavy alcohol all declined between
2006 and 2015 (2015 National Survey on Drug Use and Health). Underage drinking is a serious
problem in society. Minors think it is cool to go to parties and drink with friends. The consequences of
doing so do not cross a minor s mind until it is too late. Peer pressure, modeling parents behavior, and
curiosity all lead to underage drinking.

There are several causes for underage drinking. Something as simple as a friend allowing another
friend that has not tried alcohol before to have a taste can turn in to underage drinking. In the United
States, 20% of youth aged 12 to 20 years old drink alcohol (National Survey on Drug Use and Health).
Underage drinking increases the risks for alcohol abuse or dependence increases. Youth who start
drinking before age 15 years old are six times more likely to develop alcohol dependence or abuse
later in life than those who begin drinking at or after age 21 years old (Center for Disease Control).
Underage drinking is an eerie thing to think about. It is so real in society and has been for a long time.
Though underage drinking is an active problem, the numbers have declined in recent years. 54%
decrease in underage drinking among 8th graders, 40% decrease in underage drinking among 10th
graders, and 25% decrease in underage drinking among 12th graders in the past decade (2015 National

Sociological Theories Of Criminology
Criminology in the beginning was ruled as the classical school of thought and was looked at as crime
being a product of rational choice that can be controlled with some form of deterrence method. Since
then it has been expanded on with new developed ideas of why crime is committed, including theories
that say that biological, psychological and sociological issues are the causes for crime.
Biological theories say that crime is caused by genetic or physical defects, with treatment being
effective only with the reduction of aggression. Earlier ideas were phrenology, atavism, criminal
behavior in families, and somatotypes, then progressing with later theories of biosocial arousal,
behavior genetics, and autonomic nervous system to name a few. The causes can range from diet,
physical or neurological defects, or just born bad. There have been cases were individuals have been
known to receive blows to the head causing them to have some form of head trauma that has been
linked to criminal behavior.
Psychological theories are that development during formative years of personality defects are the
reason crime is committed. It is therefore believed that crime is caused by an imbalance of the ID,
superego, and ego. The claim is that crime is because of a lack of proper development during early
years of life.

The Taj Mahal Statue Of Liberty And Washington Monument
When one thinks about famous monumental structures, the Taj Mahal, Statue of Liberty, and
Washington Monument may come to mind. The Angkor Wat, however, is one of the largest and best
preserved monuments of the Angkor group that most do not think about. This monument was built in
the 12th century by King Suryavarman II in Angkor, which is modern day Cambodia. This monument
is the world s largest religious structure and measures to be about 400 acres. It is built entirely of
stone, which is rather unique considering the intense details that appear on every surface of this
structure. The building was originally meant to be a means of making claims to political offices more
legitimate. They also wanted the powers of their gods to be protected. Hindu temples are not a place
for religious congregation;instead; they are homes of the god (Rod). About 1,200 square meters of bas
reliefs are carved on the walls of the Angkor Wat. These bas reliefs represent eight different Hindu
stories.The Angkor Wat also has an expanded enclosed wall to separate sacred temple grounds from
the rest of the city. Early Cambodia was mostly divided into rival states up until King Jayavarman II
founded the Khmer Empire. The Khmer Empire was filled with an overwhelming amount of thriving
agriculture and most Khmers were animists. This means that they believed that many spirits contained
natural phenomenons. Much of the temples in Cambodia were made of fine stone carvings, which is
rather unique.
