Roller Coasters History
Click, click, click your almost to the top of the hill and then whoosh your flying down the track. Not
thinking about anything when really you put all your faith in a little cart connected to a metal track.
There are really three main points when looking at roller coasters the history, making, and thrill of the
coaster. The history of roller coasters is as important as any other step because the architects learn
from others mistakes and what they did right. The beginning of roller coasters started in Russia in the
1400 s when people would make hills with the snow and send there sleds down the hills. They would
build would towers to get to the top of the hill. In the 1700 s they put wheels on the bottom of the
sleds and would be able to go down artificial hills during the summer, they would also use different
colored lanterns so they could ride at night. The first roller coaster opened in 1804 in France. The
roller coasters didn t last long Do to the increase of speed and there not being enough safety, accidents
were very common. The roller coasters caught back on whenever Lamarcus Thompson built the
Gravity Switchback Railway ride at Coney Island. Development was at its highest in the 1920 s there
were over 1500 roller coasters in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If we didn t learn from the past then we wouldn t have any of the roller coasters we do now because it
is basically trial and error. We are able to build off what we have done in the past and make bigger and
better roller coasters. The making of roller coasters has also evolved over time and has become a more
sturdy structure for roller coasters now and in the future. Thrill you can t have a great roller coaster if
it s just boring it just doesn t work that s why there is people who spend hours a day creating these
concepts and everything else for them. We couldn t be were we are without all of those crucial
components that we have

Marketing Social Of Social Marketing
How is social marketing different
The initial formal definition depicts social marketing as ...calculated to influence the acceptability of
social ideas and involving considerations of product planning, pricing, communication, distribution
and marketing research (Kotler and Zaltman, 1971, p. 5 in Andreason 1994, p. 109). In Marketing
Social Marketing in the Social Change Marketplace Andreasen argues that the given definition does
not outline the essence social behavioural change. In his words, the acceptance of an idea alone does
not guarantee the success of influencing behaviour. The latest interpretation of The International
Social Marketing Association solves that problem by stating the outcome explicitly. (2013).

For instance, in Scotland drinking alcohol is forbidden on public places, buying drinks is overly
expensive and restricted to specific hours. In this regard, while the technological approach consists of
using modern means for reducing the need or the consequences of drinking (e.g. remote access to
treatment, non
alcoholic beer), the economical solution is to raise the raise the private cost of drinking
alcohol.
On the other hand, social marketing recognises that we are self serving beings and, therefore, the
approach to a problem should be consumer centred. To put it more simply, the best way for me to
achieve what I want is to assure you that it is in your best interest (Marketing Theory, p. 310, 2003).
As a result, the question asked by marketers is shifted from what is wrong with these people, why won
t they understand? to what is wrong with us. What don t we understand about our target audience? ( A
Synopsis of Social Marketing , 1999).
The more recent change in thinking was achieved by applying the social exchange theory (Housten
and Gassenheimer, 1987) to social marketing. The conclusion of Hastings and Saren (2003) is that
change in social behaviour requires beneficial output in return. The resulting problem is that in social
marketing the benefit is not always apparent or at least not immediately. For

How Human Brain Works Essay
How the Human Brain Works
The human brain is one of the most amazing organs in a body and at the same time the most
mysterious. It is the control center of the body and it s important to understand the complexity of the
human brain. Although your brain functions as a whole, it consists of three main parts, The Central
Core, the Limbic System, and the Cerebral Cortex. Then those parts break into even smaller parts. The
brain is just like the computer, it depends on certain parts to work correctly and get every day jobs and
even more complex jobs done.
The Central Core The Central Core is the first of the three main parts of the brain. It is also broken up
into five main parts that help us do the everyday simple things in life like, ... Show more content on

The Limbic system is separated in three parts, the Hippocampus, the Amygdala, and the
Hypothalamus. The Hippocampus s role is controlling emotion, learning, and memory; while the
Amygdala controls aggression, eating, drinking, and sexual behaviors. Then you have the
Hypothalamus which monitors the blood levels of glucose, salt, blood pressure, and hormones. It also
helps to control the processes in the body through its connection to the central and autonomic nervous
systems and endocrine system.
The Cerebral Cortex
The Cerebral Cortex directs the brain s higher cognitive and emotional functions. It is divided into two
equal halves called cerebral hemispheres. Each hemisphere has the same four areas called lobes. Areas
in the lobes control all forms of conscious experience, perception, emotion, thought, and planning, as
well as many unconscious and emotional processes. The frontal lobe helps in motor control and
cognitive activities, like planning, making decisions, setting goals, and relating the present to the
future through purpose. The parietal lobe controls the sensory process, spatial interpretation, attention,
and language understanding. The occipital lobe controls the process of visual information and passes
its conclusions to the parietal and temporal lobes. This leads me to the temporal lobe which assists in
auditory perception, language comprehension, and visual recognition.
If the central core, limbic system or cerebral cortex fails the brain will not be

SPANISH CIVIL WAR WEAKNESS COLLAPSE Introduction: The second republic was formed
after the dictatorship under Primo de Rivera (1923) and the abdication of the King. The republican

Antony And Cleopatra And William Shakespeare s Cleopatra...
Cleopatra s full name is Cleopatra VII Philopator. She was born in 69 BC in Alexandria, Egypt.
Cleopatra was the queen of Egypt from 51 to 30 BC, right up to the year she died. She is the most
famous women in history. She was in a relationship with Julius Caesar for only nine months before
Cleopatra had a baby boy. They ruled together from 44 BC to 30 BC. Unfortunately, Caesar was
assassinated in 4 BC, Cleopatra had a relationship with Mark Antony and they had three children
together. When Antony s troops lost the Battle of Actium to Octavian s forces, Antony was upset and
defeat about it and he committed suicide. Cleopatra committed suicide after him ecause it was a
tradition. The way she killed herself was by letting a poisonous snake, which was called an asp, bite
her on August 12, 30 BC. Cleopatra is shown in many works of arts and dramatizations of her story.
One very famous example is Shakespeare s Antony and Cleopatra. Antony and Cleopatra are two of
Shakespeare s most famous heroes and heroines. These character are not purely good or evil, but
rather they have both qualities, though one supersedes over the other. Cleopatra is seen as a complex
character. Shakespeare uses two approaches to character and characterization. The first one assumes
that a character is a reflection/representation of human being from the slice of life. The second
approach is modern and it shows little interest in Verisimilitude. Verisimilitude is the criterion for
evaluation. It means the

The Six Day War And Its Impact On Arab Nations
The six day war can go down in history as one of the worst wars between Israel and one or more Arab
countries. The six day war heavily impacted Israel and the participating Arab countries in many ways.
Israeli and Arab relations have never been good, even before Israel was declared an independent state
in 1948. The six day war should not be considered a new war based on its impact, rather it should be
considered as a continuation of a constant war between Israel and its surrounding Arab neighbors. A
factor that has always played a major part in instigating a conflict between Israel and its Arab
neighbors is the refusal and rejection of the Arab leadership to indentify Israel as the homeland of the
Jewish people. The war began with all surrounding Arab countries lining up along each border ready
to try and wipe Israel out using air attacks, as well as ground attacks. The Six Day War concluded with
an evident victory in favor of the Israelis, which to some is surprising due to the overwhelming force
of the three militaries, which were ganging up on one small country. The casualty numbers ended up
in favor of the Israeli s who only lost somewhere near 700 people with 2,500 injured, while, Egypt lost
15,000 people and had 5,600 taken as prisoners, Jordan lost close to 6,000 people and Syria suffered
somewhere close to 1,000 casualties (Knesset). The Arab attackers lost close to 1 billion dollars worth
of aircrafts, tanks and heavy machinery in total between all three countries

United States Adopt A Similar Type Of Policy Of Mandatory...
Many countries require young people to serve two years of military service, and as we continue to
have military conflicts across the world, some people have proposed that the united states adopt a
similar type of policy of mandatory conscription. I believe that a two year period of national service
should be obligatory for all 18 year olds. It ll help strengthen the character of youth, and will help
increase the collective conscience of a nation and the restraint of leaders when considering military
action. As we have 18 year olds go into the military, they should get the option in whatever kind of
public service that suits his or her interest. Different genders across the world are frequently given
different responsibilities. For example, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Memelon
Nature Morte, essentially still life, refers to the portrayal of inanimate objects within images. One
Artist, recognized for his iconic impressionistic still life work, is Edouard Manet (1832 1883). Manet
is revered for being a key instigator in the transition from realism to impressionism; his still life
impressionism works were amongst those considered the genesis of the impressionist movement in the
late 19th Century. Manet was raised in Paris, to affluent family. Upon failure to make it into the Navy,
Manet began to find his love for art and painting. Manet s work The Melon (c.1880), a still life
painting of a single watermelon, encapsulates this historical movement of still life paintings.
Manet s titular work The Melon s solitary subject matter is a watermelon. The composition of this
painting is simple, a trait of Manet s which developed along side his journey into impressionism.
Despite being a journey that was heavily criticized, it is the style and nuance of Manet s melon, which
sets it apart from traditional still life images. The melon is isolated. It s placed on an innocuous beige
support, against a solid black background. However it is through the use of this space around the
Melon that Manet is able to utilize the light, which floods the left side of the melon, to create a very
soft, fragile, beautiful painting. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is this bold style, which, at the time, viewers found jarring and unnatural, that attracts modern day
viewers to Manet s work. The sudden transitions between the colors within the melon, dictated by the

Symptoms And Treatment Of Pituitary Apoplexy Essay
PITUITARY APOPLEXY INTRODUCTION Pituitary apoplexy is a rare condition that can be missed
or misdiagnosed if a strong clinical suspicion is not present. The consequences can be deleterious for
vision or even life threatening. This remains a poorly understood entity in both its pathogenesis and
optimal management. The aim of treatment is to preserve life, vision and functionality of the gland.
There is still controversy regarding the optimal management of these patients, especially conservative
versus surgical management and the timing of surgical intervention. What is known for sure is that the
diagnosis of pituitary apoplexy remains a neuroendocrine emergency and requires decision making as
to whether to manage the patient conservatively or surgically. CASE A 33 year old female presented to

The Definition Of Rational Thought
There are several different types of ways of thinking, which undergoes diverse processes. One of the
approaches is rational thought, which is one of the key factors to science (Gauch, 2003). The science
is a particular area proving theories by reasoning (Giere, Bickle, and Mauldin, 2006). Whilst there
have been several examinations related to means people think rationally, it seems to be important to
understand what rational thought is; furthermore, the approach can be an influential factor in academic
fields. In this essay, the domain, Urban Design, will be examined as a sample. Before examining how
rational thought is employed in Urban Design field, this essay will describe the definition of rational
thought.
When people think, there are two types of ways of thinking; System 1 and System 2 (Kahneman,
2012). He states that System 1, called fast thinking, is decision making process without an explicit
evaluation, through the process, an idea would be produced intuitively, which is unconscious,
uncontrolled and almost effortless. Besides, Dewey (1933) described tree types of thinking approaches
as effortless means. One of them is unconscious thinking, which is applied in the situations: being
sleep and awake, it is considered that there would be not much or important or helpful production of
this type of thinking. Another one is imagining thinking, which does not exist, is not an object. The
imagination can result in a conclusion for thinker; nonetheless, it is not always

Penalty Shots In Soccer And Field Hockey
Penalty Shots in Soccer and Field Hockey
Why it is easier to score a soccer penalty shot than a field hockey penalty stroke
Ryan Andrew
23.05.2017
11TH Grade Physics
INTRODUCTION
Soccer and field hockey are two of the most widely played field sports in the world. Both sports
involve a team of players moving a ball around a field, and attempting to score in their opposing team
s goal. At certain points in the game, if the opposing team has infringed upon certain rules, soccer
players may take a penalty shot and hockey players a penalty stroke. The penalty shot (soccer)
involves the player kicking the ball from 11m in front of the goal s centre, and attempting to get it past
the goalie, who is the one player allowed to defend against the shot. A penalty stroke (hockey) is
essentially the same as a penalty shot, but the player stands 6.4 metres from the goal centre, and they
hit the ball using a stick. It is believed that it is easier to score a penalty shot in soccer than a penalty
stroke in hockey, for the reasons outlined below.
DISCUSSION
Ball Speed and Goalkeeper reaction time/s:
The average reaction time of a goalie has been previously investigated by Taskin et al., and found to
be 225.59 milliseconds (2016). Secondary data for average ball speeds for field hockey and soccer
were located, and a calculation revealed the amount of time that goalies would have to act in if they
react from when the ball is hit (see journal pages 5 6). These figures would suggest that it would be
easier for a goalie to block the ball, but given that the goalie must move much further to protect the
ends of the goal area, it is, in fact, harder to score past the hockey goalkeeper than the soccer one.
Goal Coverage:
It has been calculated that the ratio of the percentage of the goal covered by the goalie to the
percentage of the goal covered by the ball was, for soccer, 82.14:1, and for hockey it was 827:1 (see
journal pages 3 5). If you are on the attacking team (the team that is attempting the shot), you want
this ratio to be small, as it allows the ball more area to move in that the goalie cannot cover standing
still. As such, it is evidence that it is easier to score a soccer penalty shot than a hockey penalty

Compare And Contrast Florentine Art In The Quattrocento
In the 15th Century, Italy was the hub of the arts, humanism, technological innovations and science.
This period is commonly referred to as the Renaissance, and it is stated that Florence was in the heart
of it, although Venice was also prominent in its artistic development. In this essay, the characteristics
of Florentine and Venetian art in the Quattrocento will be analysed, and a comparison and contrast
between the two will be conducted.
In the Quattrocento, Italy was divided into different city states, such as Florence, Venice, Milan and
Siena , amongst others, each ruled by its own government. In this essay, the focus will be on Florence
and Venice and smaller cities which were influenced by their artists. The Renaissance started in
Florence, a few years after the year 1400 . The 15th Century in Italy, also known as the Quattrocento ,

Classical antiquity, soon became the best sculptor of his time, by depicting figures larger than life,

sombre, and his pose naturalistic . On the other hand, Brunelleschi discovered one point perspective,
in turn influencing young artists like Masaccio, whose fresco The Holy Trinity was revolutionary, as it
included all that Ghiberti, Donatello and Brunelleschi had discovered: drama, realism, emotion and

Comparing The Girl Who Drank The Moon And The Lost Thing
Antain represents an orphan who is longing for a sense of belonging and who is resilient in his pursuit
to find it. These characteristics are exemplified in Shaun Tan s The Lost Thing (2010). Both Antain
and the lost thing lack belonging. They fail to find their niche. They do not fit in. They have no where
to go. They are too different. There are significant parallels between both characters in their pursuit for
belonging. Immediately, in The Girl Who Drank the Moon (2016) and The Lost Thing (2010), both
characters are portrayed as outcasts. They do fit in to the society that they have been situated. They are
too different. Antain ostracized more explicitly as his is continually bullied whereas the lost thing is
neglected and forgotten (Tan, 2010, p. 3). However, both characters lack a place where they belong
and are loved unconditionally. Antain and the lost thing both possess significant helpers. For Antain,
his helper, Ethyne, appears closer to the end of the novel. As his wife, she encourages him to pursue
his dreams and loves him. The lost thing has a young boy to guide him along his journey throughout
the entire story to find a place where he can belong (Tan, 2010, p.9). ... Show more content on

Colonization Of The British Colonies
Soon after the discovery of the Americas in 1492, various European powers raced to colonize the New
World in order to accumulate more wealth, become a global power, and spread religion. The four most
powerful and prominent empires that colonized the Americas were the Spanish, British, Dutch, and
French. The British colonies attracted far more immigrants than the others because the British colonies
were allowed freedom of religion as compared to the strictly Catholic French, the Spanish poor
relations with the native population, and the Dutch colony quickly eroded because of poor
government. The Dutch colony found in present day New York failed and was easily conquered by the
British in 1664 because the living and economic conditions were poor compared to British colonies.
Unlike the British colonies, the New Netherlands were not a major part of the Dutch colonial empire.
The New Netherlands was used primarily for fur trade. The Dutch colonies could offer settlers
freedom of religion, and the right to self govern. However, around the time that the British took
control of the Dutch colony, most of the residents had grievances about living there. One of the leaders
of the community, Adriaen Van Der Donck described their colony to be in ruin because of the poor
government. Their trade was greatly restricted to the point which there was almost no market at all,
and the majority of the settlers had grown tired of the inclusivity of the Dutch colony because many of

In a study where exposure to outside stimulus was examined and reduced, infants needed significantly
fewer days of respiratory support including ventilators, and also required fewer days of oxygen
administration (Pediatrics, 2007). Increases in heart and respiratory rate can lead to increased oxygen
consumption and caloric requirements, which will allow for fewer calories available for growth and
healing. If stress continues, the initial increase in heart and respiratory rates will cease, and the infant
can become bradycardic and apneic, which could lead to a possible hypoxic event and decreased
pulmonary function. Premature infants are exceptionally vulnerable because their neurologic systems
are still very immature and they cannot selectively limit stimuli or its physiologic impact. During
noisy periods, apnea was found most frequently in very preterm babies, and oxygen saturation
averaged 90 percent compared to 93 percent during quiet periods (Brown, 2009). In another study,
implementation of a quiet time showed a 2mmHg decrease in arterial blood pressure in preterm infants
as well as marked decrease in heart rate (Slevin, 2000). Although changes were not significant, blood

Managing Users in Heterogeneous IT Landscapes
One of the main challenge organizations is facing is managing users in heterogeneous IT landscapes.
Organizations are preferring the access control via role management (Franqueira, V. N. L et al., 2012).
With the evolving responsibilities, the system landscape is becoming more and more complex and
difficult to manage and track (SAP1, 2012). With SAP NetWeaver Identity Management (IdM), we
can manage identities and their authorizations centrally in both SAP and non SAP system landscapes.
This comes with employee self services and SAP BusinessObjects Access Control formerly GRC
(Governance, risk management, and compliance) (SAP2, 2012) integration which helps in risk
detection and mitigation and makes identity management more compliant. Using NetWeaver IdM, a
highly customizable framework we can provide joint authentication for all business processes and a
single sign on as a secure identity management solution. Driving factors for implementation of
Identity management include a decrease in operational cost, frequently evolving business processes
with increasing complexity and inability to de provision a user completely. Many challenges come
from the desire to grant single sign on access to collections of resources that might have contradictory
access protection rules (Buell, D.A. et al., 2003). The functions of NetWeaver IdM include role
management, Identity Virtualization, data synchronization, customized work flows and approval
process, password management, identity

Typically, after an explosion there is a fire destroying so much evidence. By the explosion causing
fire, this minimizes the amount of analysis that can be collected. However, in the same hand there can
many different types of forensic evidence such as the scene, where it actually happened, the location
of the location. Such as a bathroom within a five bedroom home. Some details are irrelevant and some
can be used in court to argue strong points. Even if a fire designates investigators can still state
whether the explosion as a bomb, or if it was an accident. The investigators can look into things such a
gas leaks, flammable gas any evidence showing actual proof that the explosion was meant to be done
or merely an accident. The investigation for forensic evidence is always lengthy, but when an
explosion is being investigated, it is much lengthier. The steps for forensic evidence seems easy, but it
is actually more difficult when it is an explosion being investigated. Steps for handling forensic
evidence are as follows. Identify, collect, preserve, inventory, package and transport evidence to the
evidence room where the evidence will then sit. After the investigators make sure that all physical
evidence is collected, then they move onto analyzing all evidence

an immigration detention center upon her arrival in England for not having legal documents to prove
her age. Meanwhile, the unnamed narrator has her life blown apart by a terrorist attack that kills her
husband and four year old son. Both characters lose the hope and faith in their world and adjust to
their new lives accordingly. Little Bee disguises herself physically, verbally, and legally in order to

Her sense of insecurity of her true identity made her lose her faith in the world she lives in; she was
baffled by the idea of her having to disguise herself for basic survival. Moving on, in Incendiary, the
narrator, who is unnamed throughout the entirety of the book, is stripped of her husband and four year
old son after they fall victim of a terrorist attack at a football match. She deals with the everyday
struggles of people within her economic class. Her life is representative to that of the average citizen
in London. On the day of the incident her husband, who works for a bomb squad, takes her son to
watch an Arsenal game. Meanwhile, she goes to a pub to relieve her mind off the everyday pressure
she is constantly under. Consequently, after the bombing, she was suddenly struck by the idea of
terrorism and the murder of innocent civilians. This, similarly to Little Bee, leads her to losing her
faith in the world she lives in leading her into a state of anxiety and depression. Overall, both
characters undergo trauma that leads to their loss of faith in society and drives them into emotional
conflict. In a similar sense, both Little Bee and the narrator are placed in situations that helps
compensate for their traumatic experiences. In Little Bee, Little Bee is in a position where she is

Thor Video Analysis
The video begins with Heimdall standing in front of the gate as Thor and his friends approaching him.
Loki tries to talk to Heimdall however, he fails and Thor takes over the conversation and enters the
gate. Heimdall then states that the bridge will remain closed if he finds out there s any threat that will
harm Asgard. The Heimdall then places his sword into the ground that opens the bridge which can
teleport Thor and his friends to another planet. Here, I will be focusing on actors/acting and costumes.
Every actor in this video represents its role of character by their physical appearances and their
performance. Thor for example, Chris Hemsworth, a masculine white male that clearly represent the
physical appearance of a God. Moreover, Hemsworth s acting shows he s dominance as the heir of
Asgard who will later be crowned as the King. For instance, in the scene when Loki tries to talk to
Heimdall, Thor takes over the conversation by saying, Enough . At this moment, the character
blocking also tells the audience who is dominating the conversation and it is Thor. At first he stands
behind Loki, but ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The golden armor shows his almighty power of the guardian that keep safe of Asgard, preventing any
threats from entering from other plantets. Unlike any other characters, one can tell that Heimdall s
costumes has the greatest protection among all. Furthermore, Thor who s costume shows he s power
among he s friends and brother. Being as the only character with a red cape, this shows he s class is
higher than any others. Moreover, the viewers can tell from his armor he is a warrior, who is fearless.
Because comparing to Loki s costume, he isn t wearing any armor that can protect him. This means
Loki is more likely to be a character who uses his brain and tongue more than waving a sword.
However, in this scene we can tell from both of his acting and his costume, Loki fails to do

Supreme Court Decision Making Essay
Name Instructor s Name Course Date The Supreme Court as a National Policy Maker The polarized
politics of the Roberts Court article examines the Roberts Court and its relationship to the Obama s
government after the results of midterm elections in 2014. It starts by analyzing the structure of the
Court during the past 40 years. The court has been structured by electoral politics and it has been seen
to be more conservative, divided and polarized in its decision making and this reflects the politics of
the post 1968 electoral regime. The article also looks at the impact of the 2014 midterm election. The
article shows that the control of the senate by Republican will lead to constrain to the president s
ability to shape the federal courts proceeding (Clayton and Salamone 739). There is likelihood of the
Republican leaving the composition of the current Supreme Court intact and also leave Justice
Kennedy as the pivotal swing vote. It will also elevate the Court as a campaign issue in the coming
2016 presidential elections. The division and polarization of Roberts Court ... Show more content on

The cases in the court involve alternatives which completely disagree with the society such as in cases
of segregation and economic regulation making the setting of the case political. However, Court s
decisions rests upon the fiction that it is not a political institution but a legal one which causes further
problems rather than solving the already existing problem (Dahl 282). Those who believe that the
Court does only one role of making policies then this raises the question of who gets what and why.
There are two different conflicting criteria in determining and appraising the role of the Court. The
article says that every conflict in a given society is as a result of dispute between the majority who are
eligible and the minority or among the minorities

Suburbs In Australia
Finding the right home for you is a lot of work, even if you find the perfect house. If the
neighbourhood is not what you want then a potentially perfect property is a write off. Thankfully,
Australia has a great deal of options when it comes to good neighbourhoods. Suburbs in Australia
come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and styles to fit all tastes. This post will provide a quick
rundown of some of Australia s up and coming neighbourhoods that you should be keeping an eye on
if you re looking to buy a home in the near future.
Adelaide

You can expect a drier climate with cold winters, but do not let this deter you. Suburbs in Ainslie are
perfect for families looking to settle down. Alternatively, Braddon and Civic are great suburbs for
single residents.
Melbourne
Housing a population of around four million, Melbourne is the second largest city in Australia. This
city also features some of Australia s best nightlife and has a deep love for sports and the arts. It is,
arguably, one of the best places to live in the world when it comes to culture. As far as suburbs go,
families should look at Camberwell. However, for a little more culture then consider Fitzroy.
Perth
Known for a consistently warm climate and equally warm population, Perth has a lot to offer
considering how isolated it is from the rest of Australia. Look north or west for the affluent suburbs in
Perth, such as Nedlands and Mosman Park.
Sydney
Sydney is arguably Australia s most popular destination, with scenic landmarks and gorgeous beaches
scattered across a bustling metropolis. Being Australia s biggest city means a lot of options in
neighbourhoods. For the younger crowd, Inner West is a great area with a vibrant crowd. For the
family type, you will struggle to find a better suburb than the Northern

Like many other Nazi occupied countries, Hungary suffered great loss of Jewish citizens. Similarity to
other Nazi occupied countries, Hungarian authorities with alliance with German authorities removed
many Jewish people out from Hungary. The Hungarian government and Orban himself, deny that the
Hungarian government had anything to do with the expulsion of thousands of Jewish citizens. Orban
admits that only individual officials of Hungary and not the Hungarian government collaborated. One
of the major controversies of this campaigned was the Memorial to the Victims of the German
Occupation. The memorial gives tribute to the thousands of Hungarian Jews affected during the war,
but faced backlash for being too literal and an attack to Germans. It blamed only German on the anti
Semitism in Hungary and take responsibility for the own faults. In Orban s words It can hardly be
disputed that Germany bears responsibility for what happened after March 19, 1994.... We cannot bear
a responsibility that is not ours to bear. He also makes it clear that it was Germans and not Nazis who
were responsible for the occupation of Hungary. Attacking Germany for the Nazi s crime is not new to
Europe, however this sort of antagonization of Germany really does not make since in modern times.
Germany has taken serious step in combating the rise of extreme right

Comparing Bathsheba And David
In the 23rd Psalm, David presents two images born out of his imagination that, for him, depict what it
means to have an intimate relationship with God. The first image portrays God as a shepherd and
David as a sheep, which exemplifies the Love of God in the relationship. The second image portrays
God as a Host and David as an honored guest; which exemplifies the Grace of God in the relationship.
In both cases, David s depiction of this relationship is an image of someone, not something.
Unfortunately, many believers, if asked to depict their relationship with God via imagery, would
illustrate money or something else that they believe God for. Many preachers exploit this, but I
propose to you that any gospel with something at its center instead ... Show more content on

David would be the first to stand up and say that things did not get him to the point where he could
say, I have been young, and [now] am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed
begging bread. 2 Rather, David would declare that it was someone who had gotten him to that point.
And when faced with one of the messiest situations of his life in the Bathsheba incident,
David didn t cry out, Take not my reputation, my crown or my things away from me. Instead, he cried
out, Take not thy holy spirit from me! 3
An intimate relationship with God begins with a heart that cries, You can take the things of my life but
whatever you do, Lord, take not your Holy Spirit from me...for If Thou withdraw Thyself from me,
Ah! whither shall I go ? 4 Out of this passion, David presents three scenarios: a field, a valley, and a
table. In each, he portrays at least one aspect of what it means to have an intimate relationship with
God; the type needed for powerful ministry.
The first scenario is a field. If you are a child of God, then David suggests you have Provision in the
Field. He opens, The Lord [is] my shepherd; I shall not want. 5 His emphasis is not on just knowing
about provision; the level of

  • 2. Roller Coasters History Click, click, click your almost to the top of the hill and then whoosh your flying down the track. Not thinking about anything when really you put all your faith in a little cart connected to a metal track. There are really three main points when looking at roller coasters the history, making, and thrill of the coaster. The history of roller coasters is as important as any other step because the architects learn from others mistakes and what they did right. The beginning of roller coasters started in Russia in the 1400 s when people would make hills with the snow and send there sleds down the hills. They would build would towers to get to the top of the hill. In the 1700 s they put wheels on the bottom of the sleds and would be able to go down artificial hills during the summer, they would also use different colored lanterns so they could ride at night. The first roller coaster opened in 1804 in France. The roller coasters didn t last long Do to the increase of speed and there not being enough safety, accidents were very common. The roller coasters caught back on whenever Lamarcus Thompson built the Gravity Switchback Railway ride at Coney Island. Development was at its highest in the 1920 s there were over 1500 roller coasters in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If we didn t learn from the past then we wouldn t have any of the roller coasters we do now because it is basically trial and error. We are able to build off what we have done in the past and make bigger and better roller coasters. The making of roller coasters has also evolved over time and has become a more sturdy structure for roller coasters now and in the future. Thrill you can t have a great roller coaster if it s just boring it just doesn t work that s why there is people who spend hours a day creating these concepts and everything else for them. • 3. Marketing Social Of Social Marketing How is social marketing different The initial formal definition depicts social marketing as ...calculated to influence the acceptability of social ideas and involving considerations of product planning, pricing, communication, distribution and marketing research (Kotler and Zaltman, 1971, p. 5 in Andreason 1994, p. 109). In Marketing Social Marketing in the Social Change Marketplace Andreasen argues that the given definition does not outline the essence social behavioural change. In his words, the acceptance of an idea alone does not guarantee the success of influencing behaviour. The latest interpretation of The International Social Marketing Association solves that problem by stating the outcome explicitly. (2013). The whole ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For instance, in Scotland drinking alcohol is forbidden on public places, buying drinks is overly expensive and restricted to specific hours. In this regard, while the technological approach consists of using modern means for reducing the need or the consequences of drinking (e.g. remote access to treatment, non alcoholic beer), the economical solution is to raise the raise the private cost of drinking alcohol. On the other hand, social marketing recognises that we are self serving beings and, therefore, the approach to a problem should be consumer centred. To put it more simply, the best way for me to achieve what I want is to assure you that it is in your best interest (Marketing Theory, p. 310, 2003). As a result, the question asked by marketers is shifted from what is wrong with these people, why won t they understand? to what is wrong with us. What don t we understand about our target audience? ( A Synopsis of Social Marketing , 1999). The more recent change in thinking was achieved by applying the social exchange theory (Housten and Gassenheimer, 1987) to social marketing. The conclusion of Hastings and Saren (2003) is that change in social behaviour requires beneficial output in return. The resulting problem is that in social marketing the benefit is not always apparent or at least not immediately. For ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. How Human Brain Works Essay How the Human Brain Works The human brain is one of the most amazing organs in a body and at the same time the most mysterious. It is the control center of the body and it s important to understand the complexity of the human brain. Although your brain functions as a whole, it consists of three main parts, The Central Core, the Limbic System, and the Cerebral Cortex. Then those parts break into even smaller parts. The brain is just like the computer, it depends on certain parts to work correctly and get every day jobs and even more complex jobs done. The Central Core The Central Core is the first of the three main parts of the brain. It is also broken up into five main parts that help us do the everyday simple things in life like, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Limbic system is separated in three parts, the Hippocampus, the Amygdala, and the Hypothalamus. The Hippocampus s role is controlling emotion, learning, and memory; while the Amygdala controls aggression, eating, drinking, and sexual behaviors. Then you have the Hypothalamus which monitors the blood levels of glucose, salt, blood pressure, and hormones. It also helps to control the processes in the body through its connection to the central and autonomic nervous systems and endocrine system. The Cerebral Cortex The Cerebral Cortex directs the brain s higher cognitive and emotional functions. It is divided into two equal halves called cerebral hemispheres. Each hemisphere has the same four areas called lobes. Areas in the lobes control all forms of conscious experience, perception, emotion, thought, and planning, as well as many unconscious and emotional processes. The frontal lobe helps in motor control and cognitive activities, like planning, making decisions, setting goals, and relating the present to the future through purpose. The parietal lobe controls the sensory process, spatial interpretation, attention, and language understanding. The occipital lobe controls the process of visual information and passes its conclusions to the parietal and temporal lobes. This leads me to the temporal lobe which assists in auditory perception, language comprehension, and visual recognition. If the central core, limbic system or cerebral cortex fails the brain will not be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The republican leftist government was established in 1931. It inherited the poor economy courtesy of the Great Depression, so naturally unemployment rates were high and wages were low. Ideological differences between various political groups were in existence due to the radicalized time, however not to the extent as in most other European nations at the time as Spain was not as heavily involved in or impacted by WWI. • 6. She is the most famous women in history. She was in a relationship with Julius Caesar for only nine months before Cleopatra had a baby boy. They ruled together from 44 BC to 30 BC. Unfortunately, Caesar was assassinated in 4 BC, Cleopatra had a relationship with Mark Antony and they had three children together. When Antony s troops lost the Battle of Actium to Octavian s forces, Antony was upset and defeat about it and he committed suicide. Cleopatra committed suicide after him ecause it was a tradition. The way she killed herself was by letting a poisonous snake, which was called an asp, bite her on August 12, 30 BC. Cleopatra is shown in many works of arts and dramatizations of her story. One very famous example is Shakespeare s Antony and Cleopatra. Antony and Cleopatra are two of Shakespeare s most famous heroes and heroines. These character are not purely good or evil, but rather they have both qualities, though one supersedes over the other. Cleopatra is seen as a complex character. Shakespeare uses two approaches to character and characterization. The first one assumes that a character is a reflection/representation of human being from the slice of life. The second approach is modern and it shows little interest in Verisimilitude. Verisimilitude is the criterion for evaluation. It means the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Six Day War And Its Impact On Arab Nations The six day war can go down in history as one of the worst wars between Israel and one or more Arab countries. The six day war heavily impacted Israel and the participating Arab countries in many ways. Israeli and Arab relations have never been good, even before Israel was declared an independent state in 1948. The six day war should not be considered a new war based on its impact, rather it should be considered as a continuation of a constant war between Israel and its surrounding Arab neighbors. A factor that has always played a major part in instigating a conflict between Israel and its Arab neighbors is the refusal and rejection of the Arab leadership to indentify Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people. The war began with all surrounding Arab countries lining up along each border ready to try and wipe Israel out using air attacks, as well as ground attacks. The Six Day War concluded with an evident victory in favor of the Israelis, which to some is surprising due to the overwhelming force of the three militaries, which were ganging up on one small country. The casualty numbers ended up in favor of the Israeli s who only lost somewhere near 700 people with 2,500 injured, while, Egypt lost 15,000 people and had 5,600 taken as prisoners, Jordan lost close to 6,000 people and Syria suffered somewhere close to 1,000 casualties (Knesset). Many countries require young people to serve two years of military service, and as we continue to have military conflicts across the world, some people have proposed that the united states adopt a similar type of policy of mandatory conscription. I believe that a two year period of national service should be obligatory for all 18 year olds. It ll help strengthen the character of youth, and will help increase the collective conscience of a nation and the restraint of leaders when considering military action. As we have 18 year olds go into the military, they should get the option in whatever kind of public service that suits his or her interest. • 9. The Memelon Nature Morte, essentially still life, refers to the portrayal of inanimate objects within images. One Artist, recognized for his iconic impressionistic still life work, is Edouard Manet (1832 1883). Manet is revered for being a key instigator in the transition from realism to impressionism; his still life impressionism works were amongst those considered the genesis of the impressionist movement in the late 19th Century. Manet was raised in Paris, to affluent family. Upon failure to make it into the Navy, Manet began to find his love for art and painting. Manet s work The Melon (c.1880), a still life painting of a single watermelon, encapsulates this historical movement of still life paintings. Manet s titular work The Melon s solitary subject matter is a watermelon. The composition of this painting is simple, a trait of Manet s which developed along side his journey into impressionism. Despite being a journey that was heavily criticized, it is the style and nuance of Manet s melon, which sets it apart from traditional still life images. The melon is isolated. It s placed on an innocuous beige support, against a solid black background. However it is through the use of this space around the Melon that Manet is able to utilize the light, which floods the left side of the melon, to create a very soft, fragile, beautiful painting. ... • 10. Symptoms And Treatment Of Pituitary Apoplexy Essay PITUITARY APOPLEXY INTRODUCTION Pituitary apoplexy is a rare condition that can be missed or misdiagnosed if a strong clinical suspicion is not present. The consequences can be deleterious for vision or even life threatening. This remains a poorly understood entity in both its pathogenesis and optimal management. The aim of treatment is to preserve life, vision and functionality of the gland. There is still controversy regarding the optimal management of these patients, especially conservative versus surgical management and the timing of surgical intervention. What is known for sure is that the diagnosis of pituitary apoplexy remains a neuroendocrine emergency and requires decision making as to whether to manage the patient conservatively or surgically. CASE A 33 year old female presented to the Emergency Department of the University Hospital of the West Indies with a one month history of worsening headaches and a two day history of visual deterioration. She also complained of irregular menstrual periods for the previous six months and galactorrhoea for three months. There was no change in her conscious level, no seizures or syncopal episodes. She denied any fever or photophobia. The headaches were mostly frontal with a severity of 9 on the visual analog scale (VAS). There was no previous history of an chronic illnesses. • 11. The Definition Of Rational Thought There are several different types of ways of thinking, which undergoes diverse processes. One of the approaches is rational thought, which is one of the key factors to science (Gauch, 2003). The science is a particular area proving theories by reasoning (Giere, Bickle, and Mauldin, 2006). Whilst there have been several examinations related to means people think rationally, it seems to be important to understand what rational thought is; furthermore, the approach can be an influential factor in academic fields. In this essay, the domain, Urban Design, will be examined as a sample. Before examining how rational thought is employed in Urban Design field, this essay will describe the definition of rational thought. When people think, there are two types of ways of thinking; System 1 and System 2 (Kahneman, 2012). He states that System 1, called fast thinking, is decision making process without an explicit evaluation, through the process, an idea would be produced intuitively, which is unconscious, uncontrolled and almost effortless. Besides, Dewey (1933) described tree types of thinking approaches as effortless means. One of them is unconscious thinking, which is applied in the situations: being sleep and awake, it is considered that there would be not much or important or helpful production of this type of thinking. Another one is imagining thinking, which does not exist, is not an object. The imagination can result in a conclusion for thinker; nonetheless, it is not always ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. Penalty Shots In Soccer And Field Hockey Penalty Shots in Soccer and Field Hockey Why it is easier to score a soccer penalty shot than a field hockey penalty stroke Ryan Andrew 23.05.2017 11TH Grade Physics INTRODUCTION Soccer and field hockey are two of the most widely played field sports in the world. Both sports involve a team of players moving a ball around a field, and attempting to score in their opposing team s goal. At certain points in the game, if the opposing team has infringed upon certain rules, soccer players may take a penalty shot and hockey players a penalty stroke. The penalty shot (soccer) involves the player kicking the ball from 11m in front of the goal s centre, and attempting to get it past the goalie, who is the one player allowed to defend against the shot. A penalty stroke (hockey) is essentially the same as a penalty shot, but the player stands 6.4 metres from the goal centre, and they hit the ball using a stick. It is believed that it is easier to score a penalty shot in soccer than a penalty stroke in hockey, for the reasons outlined below. DISCUSSION Ball Speed and Goalkeeper reaction time/s: The average reaction time of a goalie has been previously investigated by Taskin et al., and found to be 225.59 milliseconds (2016). Secondary data for average ball speeds for field hockey and soccer were located, and a calculation revealed the amount of time that goalies would have to act in if they react from when the ball is hit (see journal pages 5 6). These figures would suggest that it would be easier for a goalie to block the ball, but given that the goalie must move much further to protect the ends of the goal area, it is, in fact, harder to score past the hockey goalkeeper than the soccer one. Goal Coverage: It has been calculated that the ratio of the percentage of the goal covered by the goalie to the percentage of the goal covered by the ball was, for soccer, 82.14:1, and for hockey it was 827:1 (see journal pages 3 5). If you are on the attacking team (the team that is attempting the shot), you want this ratio to be small, as it allows the ball more area to move in that the goalie cannot cover standing still. As such, it is evidence that it is easier to score a soccer penalty shot than a hockey penalty ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 18. Colonization Of The British Colonies Soon after the discovery of the Americas in 1492, various European powers raced to colonize the New World in order to accumulate more wealth, become a global power, and spread religion. The four most powerful and prominent empires that colonized the Americas were the Spanish, British, Dutch, and French. The British colonies attracted far more immigrants than the others because the British colonies were allowed freedom of religion as compared to the strictly Catholic French, the Spanish poor relations with the native population, and the Dutch colony quickly eroded because of poor government. The Dutch colony found in present day New York failed and was easily conquered by the British in 1664 because the living and economic conditions were poor compared to British colonies. Unlike the British colonies, the New Netherlands were not a major part of the Dutch colonial empire. The New Netherlands was used primarily for fur trade. The Dutch colonies could offer settlers freedom of religion, and the right to self govern. However, around the time that the British took control of the Dutch colony, most of the residents had grievances about living there. One of the leaders of the community, Adriaen Van Der Donck described their colony to be in ruin because of the poor government. Their trade was greatly restricted to the point which there was almost no market at all, and the majority of the settlers had grown tired of the inclusivity of the Dutch colony because many of them had ... The NICU is often cluttered with loud, unpredictable noises from a variety of sources; such as cardiorespiratory alarms, ventilators, phones, opening and closing of portholes on incubators, and staff conversation. Simple caregiver tasks such as running water, opening packages inside an incubator, disposing of trash in a metal container, and placing formula bottles on a bedside table, all can produce sounds well over recommended levels, some as loud as 75.3 decibels (Johnson, 2003). In a study where exposure to outside stimulus was examined and reduced, infants needed significantly fewer days of respiratory support including ventilators, and also required fewer days of oxygen administration (Pediatrics, 2007). Increases in heart and respiratory rate can lead to increased oxygen consumption and caloric requirements, which will allow for fewer calories available for growth and healing. If stress continues, the initial increase in heart and respiratory rates will cease, and the infant can become bradycardic and apneic, which could lead to a possible hypoxic event and decreased pulmonary function. Premature infants are exceptionally vulnerable because their neurologic systems are still very immature and they cannot selectively limit stimuli or its physiologic impact. During noisy periods, apnea was found most frequently in very preterm babies, and oxygen saturation averaged 90 percent compared to 93 percent during quiet periods (Brown, 2009). In another study, implementation of a quiet time showed a 2mmHg decrease in arterial blood pressure in preterm infants as well as marked decrease in heart rate (Slevin, 2000).
