With Bishop being familiar with the Nova Scotia coast, she really has a connection in the poem
with the landscape and what is going on around her, which the reader can appreciate throughout
the first couple of stanzas. The reader can identify this connection with the vivid use of imagery
Bishop portrays. She starts out the poem describing the scenery and a little bit of the culture that
has surrounded her for most of her years. Lines 1 4 cite, From narrow provinces /of fish and

Ledbetter felt that she was being discriminating against due to her being a female. After reading

For as long as I can remember i ve always had an innate passion and fondness for and with

Kay Redfield Jamison was born on June 22, 1946 in the United States of America. She received
her Bachelors and Masters in the University of California, also known as UCLA. After
accomplishing these goals, she set out to acquire her Ph.D., which she did, also at UCLA in the

The use of fibroblasts in skin substitutes is a crucial step toward better burn wound healing.
Fibroblasts, which are naturally found in the dermis layer, are in charge of synthesizing and
secreting the components that make up the extracellular matrix. In order for the skin to heal
properly, one component that is especially important is collagen, for it plays a major part in the
structure of the skin. Lack of collagen synthesis during healing can lead to raised scar, resulting in
poor skin function and appearance[18].
TransCyte is a temporary, bioactive synthetic covering with a similar structure to Biobrane, with an
addition of fibroblasts. Like Biobrane, it is also used as covering for burn patients before
autografting or for patients with partial thickness burns who do not require autografts[11][12].
TransCyte consists of two layers, a silicone outer layer and an inner nylon mesh seeded with
fibroblasts. The outer silicone layer is a semipermeable membrane, containing a series of laser

Mixograph
A mixograph is a test that bakers use to test the quality of the flour. This test is very similar to the
farinograph. The farinograph and mixograph both test for the mixing quality of the dough and
gluten properties. The main difference between the mixograph and the farinograph, is the
mixograph needs a much smaller sample to run the test. The sample size for the farinograph is
anywhere between 50 300 grams while the mixograph can run samples of 5, 10, and 35 grams.
The only drawback is it cannot test the absorption because it uses a set amount of water for each
test (Dapcevic).
The theory behind developing the mixograph was there was a high demand for a machine that
can use a smaller sample size to test the dough and gluten properties. This test is used to tell the
baker the quality of the flour and how much water will be needed to add to this blend of flour to
optimally mix it. The mixograph curve suggests mixing time requirement, tolerance, and optimum
water absorption (Sherwood). The mixograph test helps the baker know the mixing qualities of the
dough in a quick and precise way. It takes the guessing out of whether if there is enough water in
the dough or if it is mixed optimally. The amount of water added to the test effects the peak
optimum mixing time for the dough; dry doughs have a shorter peak time while wet doughs have a

My Capstone Experience At Fort Gibson Essay
During my Capstone experience I was able to be involved in a training gym in Fort Gibson,
Oklahoma. In this gym there are ages four to eighteen training. The athletes were from: Fort
Gibson, Woodall, Tahlequah, Briggs, Hilldale, Oktaha, Vian, and Muskogee. The sports
available were: basketball, football, baseball, wrestling, and healthy day to day living. There
were multiple trainers and they used multiple different facilities. Since Fort Gibson is somewhat
small and limited on their workout resources they used: local churches, a gym located
downtown, outdoor fields at the Fort, the high school track, and sometimes even do home calls.
In basketball the ages of the day were eleven to fourteen. The athletes started with a dynamic
warm up and athletic work for ten to fifteen minutes. This helps to prevent injury, provides
performance improvement and overall athletic ability. During this particular trainers warm up
they liked involving a basketball as much as possible. The next thing was teaching skills and
using fun drills to improve the athlete s skills. This part lasted about thirty to forty five minutes.
The number one reason kids quit sports is because it just isn t fun anymore. What we like to
focus on here is how to teach the skills and make it an all around fun experience. We aren t
training high school, college, or professional athletes, so we try not to treat their practices like it is

published in 1966 in Shepherd s collection of semi autobiographical short stories called In God We
Trust, All Others Pay in Cash, as well as in Playboy Magazine. Bob Clarks 1983 A Christmas Story
is an adaptation of a mixture of Shepherd s short stories including Red Ryder Nails the Hammond
Kid and a skit he heard on a radio talk show in 1968. Clark s adaptation changes, removes from, and

Fairy tales read to young children not only served as a form of entertainment for the child, but
they also taught children the difference between what is good and what is bad. The Three Little
Pigs is a prime example of the morals and lessons that children were taught while reading a fairy
tale. The fact that the tale is equipped with adventure and the ability for animals to talk causes
children to immerse in the text while acknowledging the consequences of laziness of the first two

The tales today have much more pleasant ending and children most likely will not be as frightened
but instead learn the moral lessons that the tale is trying to portray through its vivid illustrations and
excessive amount of repetition. The first version of the Three Little Pigs that I analyzed was by
Paul Gadon and it closely mimicked the original version of the tale. When reading the tale I was
baffled by some of the events that took place. Growing up my mother made sure that I did not
read any material that she felt would give me nightmares or would give me a negative way of
thinking. Because I was forced to read the revised version I never knew the truth behind the tale
until just recently. In Gadon s version the first two little pigs surprisingly get eaten by the big bad
wolf. Witnessing the two pigs get eaten by the wolf was very tragic and without a doubt left me in
shock. This version of the tale shows children that the consequences of lazy work results in terrible
consequences. Were the houses falling down not enough? Why did they have to get eaten? Does
this brutal act change the thinking of Children? Because it is scientifically proven that children
often repeat what they here or act out what they see I must agree with Mrs. Trimmer that the
original version of many fairy tales may have a negative effect on children. At a young age most
