They say, Life s a journey with problems to solve, lessons to learn, but most of all, experiences

Ambulances tear down the street to the accident scene. They arrive to find four cars involved in a
high speed collision. There are seven people involved in this particular accident. Additional trucks
are requested and the original scene repeats itself as three more teams join the first two at the scene.
They speculate about the condition of their patient, the other patients at the scene, and their co
workers. Things are beginning to return to the calmness that exists between calls.
Having been exposed to a typical accident scene that most emergency medical personnel are used

Extended Definition
Preventing the wasteful use of a particular resource is one of the definitions of the word
efficient. The most common thought when people hear the word efficient is that when
something is efficient it is better than something that by comparison is not as efficient. Now we
have gas efficient cars, energy efficient appliances and as many highly efficiently people would
say we are working to have a more efficient society. What is the cost of more efficiency, in many
things of course the more efficient the better, with more energy efficient cars and appliances we
are saving our planet reducing car emissions make for cleaner air that we all breathe and will
make us less reliant on fuel and other natural resources. Can a real value or cost be put on the
human mind and spirit, what happens to people when they are set aside or determined to be of
little or no use, what happens when people begin to question their own worth in the world.
In Jeremy Rifkin s book Time Wars includes the reading selection The Efficient Societyhe is
analytical in his explanation of what is being considered to be an efficient society. In the critical
analysis he details the time management scenarios that are addressed to make more efficient
workers. Corporations need to produce more work from each of its workers and the way that the
companies take the time to measure

Why Did Medea Seek Retribution
The Greece play Medea is about a wife from a foreign land that is abandoned by her husband.
She chooses to take revenge against him by killing his new bride, his father in law, and his two
kids. For Medea, trying to punish him was not justified for the circumstance that she was in. This
was mainly for two reasons. Starting off, she was a foreigner who married and became a queen in
a land, so there were different rights and customs that she could not ignore. Adding to that, it was
not socially acceptable because she was a woman living in Greece. If Medeawas a man living in
Greece, it would of been fine for her to make the choices she did. Because of these factors, Medea

They say that Jason did not give her a place to live or provide for her after leaving her, even
though it was culturally expected of him. Many argue that Medea was left nowhere to go, after
betraying her homeland for Jason. The father of the bride, Creon, also forbade her staying in the
land, fearing her retribution. Among not having a place to live, people say that she was not
given provisions to take care of her and her children (Jason chose to leave his children with her).
These points however, are actually not all that true. Much of this is proven wrong in the play
