Mental Rotation of Images
Abstract The idea of mental imagery has always been a controversial subject in the field of
psychology. Many psychologists have argued that such a concept is impossible to measure because it
can not be directly observed. Though they are right about this, it is not impossible to measure how
quickly mental rotations of images are processed in our brains. Subjects in this experiment were
presented two shapes simultaneously, via computer screen, and asked to make judgement, as quickly
as possible, as to whether the two shapes presented were the same or mirror images. Two different
shapes were used in this experiment, each given as often as the other. During each trial one shape
remained stationary and the other was rotated with varying ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Overall, when comparing the reaction times of pictures to letters, picture reaction times are said to be
generally greater. In conducting this experiment 20 right handed subjects were used, 10 male and 10
female. Subjects participated in this study either to earn course credit, or for payment of ten dollars per
hour. Three things were concluded from this experiment. First, picture rotations took longer to
perform than letter rotations. Second, there were no sex differences in reaction times for either
stimulus presented, and third, there was a linear increase in reaction times as angular disparity of both
stimuli sets increased (Desrocher, smith Taylor, 1995). As predicted this study did replicate some
previous findings. However, based on the data from this experiment sex differences did not yield a
significant difference in reaction times when presented with the different stimuli. Concurrent with our
data, both of the previously mentioned experiments concluded the same thing; reaction times
increased as angular disparity increased. Although the objectives in each experiment were somewhat
different, there has been a sufficient amount of evidence to support the hypothesis, that reaction times
will increase as the angular disparity of objects increase. Method Participants Ten St. Johns University
undergraduate students participated in this experiment to fulfill their Research Method

Edgar Wright s Film, Baby Driver
Edgar Wright s musical heist film Baby Driver hit theaters in June 2017 and earned stellar reviews
from critics and general audiences alike for the unique way it synchronized the action unfolding on the
screen with its excellent soundtrack boasting music from multiple decades, here s how they did it.
Written and directed by Wright, Baby Driver casts The Fault in Our Stars actor Ansel Elgort as Baby ,
a supremely skilled getaway driver who depends on a steady stream of music in order to counteract
the effects of tinnitus, or a hum in the drum as the film describes it. He received this tragedy during a
horrid car crash that did away with both of his parents. Now orphaned, he finds himself on the run
after a robbery turned for the worst, while finding a way to protect the people he loves while evading
both cops and accomplices/murders. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He acted as Sound Designer, Supervising Sound Editor and Re Recording Mixer. Slater and his crew
produced hundreds of customized sound effects and carefully positioned each one to fit perfectly with
the action on screen. The whole movie is orchestrated to whatever Baby is listening to at the moment,
Slater explains to Digital Trends. Gunfights are in time with the music. Car chases are cut in sync.
Police sirens, barking dogs, speeding trains are at tempo. Much of it is pitched and syncopated so that

The Importance Of Social Workers From A Professional...
The importance for social workers to understand communities from a professional perspective is to
help eliminate any potential bias and emotional and/or physical attachment to the studied community.
At the same time, the social worker views the studied community through the lens of residents living
within that community without clouded judgment and fulfillment of personal agenda. This
understanding helps the community generally and/or the specific families living within it link to the
macro level of social work; where the social worker acts as a liaison (or linkage) between the studied
community and policy makers. The benefit of this linkage between the mezzo and macro level can
generate the flow of revenue within the studied community. But one must ask, what gets lost through
this linkage? Some may argue that the dominating policies, laws, and or regulations (Budget) of white
heteronormative society can lose historical and cultural context.

Sonic s Nostalgic Drive-In Business Model
Sonic uses a nostalgic drive in business model for their customers (Ferrell, Hirt Ferrell, 2009). This
competitive advantage gives the customer a feel of the 1950 s carhop service allowing the consumer to
eat in their car if they choose. The unique and diverse menu allows Sonic to meet many consumers
needs for fast food. The variety allows the consumer many different options of food and beverages.
The largest competitive advantage for Sonic over other fast food restaurants is during the ordering
process. At Sonic, the consumer is allowed as much time as they need to browse the menu and place
their order. At other drive thru models the consumer feels pressure by the cars behind them when
reviewing the menu before placing their order (Taylor,

The television commercial is the most peculiar and pervasive form of communication to issue forth

at the end of the nineteenth century. But it was not until the 1950 s that the television commercial

III. Analysis Performance of Caltron Ltd. over the three years of operations as compared to the
industry averages figures. Financial ratios approach is used to better understand the overall health of
the company. Financial ratios can be divided into five categories. There are: 1. LIQUIDITY OR
SOLVENCY RATIOS a. Current Ratio Theoretically, current ratio of 1 means that the company have
cash and cash equivalents that are equal to current debt. Current ratio above 1 defines that company
has sufficient cash and cash equivalents to pay back the current liabilities. While current ratio below 1
define that company lack of cash and cash equivalents to pay back the current liabilities. In 2001
Caltron Ltd. has the current ratio of 2.99 and it proved that it has high liquidity due the current ratio
higher than industry average of 2.7. During 2002 Caltron Ltd. has current ratio of 1.89, which is below
the industry average but still manageable where any current ratio above than 1 still consider good
liquidity measure of the company. However, in 2003, Caltron Ltd. has current ratio 1.39 which is

The Leader Of The Bootlegging Operations During The War On...
Throughout times there have been many great leaders and societies or organizations that have risen to
power that has attracted the looks of many. During the prohibition it was Al Capone s gang and during
the war on drugs it s the Mexican Drug Cartel and their leader Omar Treviño Morales. The two groups
follow similar paths, at first glance they have different types of leaders but they have grown to power
in similar environments that deal with their enemies in a similar fashion.
With every great criminal organization there is always a great leader showing the way. The leader of
the bootlegging operations during the prohibition was a man named Alphonse Gabriel Capone or as he
is better known as, Al Capone. Al Capone was a man that was well respected as well as feared and
sometimes even revered due to his untouchable nature. He was the leader of the Five Points Gang,
which was an influential gang during the era of the prohibition. He focused on bootlegging operations
rather than drugs because of the high demand. Bootlegging is ...in U.S. history, illegal traffic in liquor
in violation of legislative restrictions on its manufacture, sale, or transportation. (britannica.com) He
grew an empire in a time of demand, in Chicago, and became a celebrity because at the time he led a

Reverse Gender Roles in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
The role gender holds in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is not one many were familiar with at the time
it was written. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz reverses the accepted gender roles of its time, women
taking control, even helping men in times of need. This idea is depicted throughout the entire novel,
affecting almost every character introduced. This novel essentially questions and challenges the
accepted beliefs on the roles of gender in the society at that time, showing how things would be if
roles were different. With this, through a description of the characters, you can see who was
empowered by Baum and who held an inferior role. In this novel, the women and the men have very
different roles. Baum created strong and powerful women, but ... Show more content on

She then gave Dorothy what she had been looking for throughout the entire novel, a way home,
something the Wizard failed to give her. Your Silver Shoes will carry you over the desert (Baum 133).
Dorothy had the answer to her question the entire time, but she was meant to help all the other
characters along the way, really making her the heroine of the story. Two other women that were
empowered by Baum were the female stork and the Queen of Mice. The group came upon the female
stork when they were in trouble. The Scarecrow was stuck in the river, and the Tin Woodman and the
Lion were not able to save him. It seemed as if they had given up, until the Stork came and offered her
help to get him across. Then the Stork with her great claws grabbed the Scarecrow by the arm and
carried him up into the air and back to the bank... (Baum 47). She was able to do something that the
men were unable to do. Baum made her more powerful than them. The Queen of Mice was also
empowered by Baum, first off by just being a leader, as a woman, to a large group. She also guided the
group of mice to save the Lion from the poisonous field, which the Tin Woodman and the Scarecrow
could not do alone. With her help, their friend was saved. Being that all the characters that were
empowered were women, it is easy to see what aspects of gender are questioned or challenged in this
novel.

Overview of Cash Flow Management
Cash Flow Management
Poor cash management is the most frequent stumbling block that causes business failure (Anon.,
2013). Good cash management comes from knowing when, where, and how cash needs will occur.
Knowing the best sources for cash is vital to being prepared to meet needs as they arise. This requires
good relationships with bankers and creditors. Developing and maintaining cash flow projections
helps to understand how cash is generated and used in a business. Without understanding the cash
flow of a business, the business is doomed for failure.
Mr. Morello s projected cash flow for January 2012 to June 2012 shows negative cash flows for
January and May, with January $42,560 and May $1,190 in the negative. The majority of the January
expenses come from the needs of the contract. The May loss can be covered with profits from
February, March, and April, but January becomes a major problem. The projected budget shows
enough in profits to obtain a loan to cover the loss, overdraft, and still have some working capital for
expenses, such as fuel or maintenance for vehicles that is not in the projected budget. Mr. Morello
would need to obtain a loan for at least $50,000. Because accounts receivable can sometimes be
unpredictable, it would be wiser to consider the loan for $60,000 to ensure that the business needs are
met in a timely manner.
In efforts to reduce the interest expense from a loan, community banks and the Small Business
Administration offer lower interest

Mario Milkuliencer s Trouble With Trust
Trust can be a controversial topic for many, however the natural positive vibe that humans receive
from the word tends to override any reservations of it. According to the online Merriam Webster
Dictionary, trust requires assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or
something. In today s society trust is slowly starting to disintegrate with the lack of face to face
communication within the age of electronic communication. Because of this we have the inability to
trust others as it starts to develop into trust issues, especially among the younger generation from the
lack of physical connection among individuals. The first foundation that comes with developing trust
is reliability. Possessing reliability in someone or something is important to begin a relationship.
According, to Mario Milkuliencer in the online article Trouble With Trust by Psychology Today there
are three basic foundations. The first one is to have the assumption that if you need a help you can turn
to someone you trust. The second foundation is to have an assumption that your closest companion
will always be there for you. The third and final foundation explains recognition that ... Show more

The And Christianity Of Christianity
Courage and Christianity Christianity is one of the worlds most recognizable religions today. With
every major religion, a struggle has to be overcome in order to be successful. Over a period of
hundreds of years, Christianity spread through the Roman empire. The spreading of Christianity was
not an easy task but a terrifying task that took the brave to conquer. Although several powerful rulers
were important in spreading Christianity in Ancient Rome, it would not have taken root if not for its
appeal among the slaves and the lower class.
Jesus, a Jewish prophet and teacher, taught during the reign of Augustus that he was the son of God.
Jesus message told that he was sent into the world to deliver the people from their sins. Jesus s
disciples spreaded his word and helped him gain many followers. Many disciples believed that a final
judgement day was near at hand, on which God would reward the righteous with immortality and
condemn sinners into everlasting hell, (Guisepi 1). The thought of eternal paradise in Heaven gave
especially the poor hope. People who were living in poverty and slavery could only dream of a life
filled with relaxation and luxury. Jesus gave everyone faith that whoever believes in him would be
rewarded with eternal paradise in Heaven. As Jesus followers grew, Jewish officials became filled
with rage. Jesus claimed to be the the son of God, a claim they thought to be blasphemy. Jesus
associated with the poor who were considered sinners. Many

Compare And Contrast Dunkin Donuts And Substitutes
xi). Substitutes are two goods for which an increase in the price of one leads to an increase in demand
for the other. An example of substitutes is Coca Cola and Pepsi because as the price of Coca Cola, the
demand for Pepsi will go up. Complements are two goods for which an increase in the price of one
leads to a decrease in the demand for the other. An example of complements is coffee vs donuts
because as the price of coffee goes, the demand for donuts will go down.
Both substitutes and complements affect the cross elasticity of demand, which is a measure of how
much the quantity demanded of one good responds to a change in price of another good, computed as
the percentage change in quantity demanded of the first good divided by the percentage change in
price of the second good. Substitutes cause a positive relationship, while complements cause a
negative relationship.
Dunkin Donuts is a real world example of how a change in price to a complementary goods affects
demand. While Dunkin Donuts itself could be considered a substitute for Starbucks, its products are
complements for each other. Dunkin Donuts has to be wary that their price increase in one products
will not hurts sales for another.
xiii). Total surplus, or economic surplus, is the sum consumer and producer surplus. Consumer surplus
is the amount a buyer is willing to pay for good minus the amount the buyer actually pays for it and is
subjective because everyone s perception of what something is worth is

Essay on Women Authors of the 19th Century
Women Authors of the 19th Century
Some of the most influential women authors of all time lived in the 19th century. These women
expressed their inner most thoughts and ideas through their writings. They helped to change society,
perhaps without knowing it, through poetry, novels, and articles. Emily Dickinson, Harriet Jacobs,
Kate Chopin, Louisa May Alcott, and Elizabeth Oakes Smith are the best known controversial and
expressive women authors of their time.
On December 10, 1830 a poet was born. When Emily Dickinson was born in Amherst, Massachusetts,

Dickinson s poems are timeless and will always leave one bewildered and amazed. Harriet Jacobs was
born in North Carolina in the early 1800s. Jacobs never realized she was a slave until her mother died
when she was six. Jacobs then moved in with her grandmother and her white mistress. The mistress
died when Jacobs was eleven, and she was then sent to Dr. James Norcom. Jacobs suffered physical
and sexual abuse from Dr. Norcom for numerous years, and she became involved with a white
neighbor, Samuel Sawyer, simply so she could stay away from Norcom. They had two children
together, Joseph and Louisa. Joseph was born when Jacobs was only sixteen years old.
In 1835, Jacobs escaped from Norcom and went into hiding for seven years. In an attempt to get
Norcom to sell her children, Jacobs wrote numerous letters to him, mentioning that she had escaped to
the North. She thought Norcom would sell her children if he thought she wasn t coming back, but that
never happened. In 1842, Jacobs made her escape to the North and managed to have her daughter,
Louisa, sent to Brooklyn to be with her. They then moved to Rochester to escape Norcom, who was

I Am Nobody Who Are You Essay
I am nobody! Who are you? (Dickinson, 2013, line 1). A very famous but quite controversial line from
the poem written by author, Emily Dickinson. Many say she writes her poems using her thoughts,
others think that she writes about her friends feelings. Quite intriguing, based on what her poems are
written about. Given the fact that Emily herself faced many tragedies in her life, including the death of
most of her immediate family and a best friend, and also faced many health issues herself, it isn t
much of a wonder that when it came down to religion, she didn t really have an opinion. But, did she
make this known in her poems? Did she try to voice her opinion, with an explanation of why she felt
this way? And is she really as complicated as readers think? In the poem, There s a certain slant of
light , many religious references have been used. This poem specifically focuses only on the

Artificial Insemination and the Rights of Women, Men, and...
Women have adamantly battled for political and social reproductive rights since, in particular artificial

Women, usually healthy and fertile, enlist the help of physicians because they do not have access to
the one element that will yield them a child. And so, doctors prescribe a cure of sorts sperm. The
procedure allows women increased power to regulate the reproductive processes of their bodies.
Ironically, artificial insemination was not created as a method of empowerment for women. Rather for
men. Male scientists and researchers developed the technology for eugenic purposes, not to alleviate
the pressures of alternative lifestyles of women. That is, to improve the human species.
With the onset of research in genetics in the beginning of the twentieth century, scientists entertained
theories of quality control with respect to human reproduction. Scientists such as Francis Crick and
Dr. William Shockley believed that the growth rate of the population was increasing too rapidly, and
most importantly certain unfavorable demographic clusters were increasing. In short, the wrong
classes and races were reproducing with more frequency than was desired by these men. They hoped
that future progeny would be of the same superior caliber as themselves. To yield this, they proposed
schemes to tax children; to provide cash incentives for sterilization; to license women for the number
of children they may bear and men for the sperm they may deposit in seed banks;

and I went to my elementary school to collect my transcripts that I needed to enroll for grade 7. At that
moment and for the last time I saw my grade 6 teachers. Upon getting my transcripts I can hear my
grade six teachers asking my mom if I will take the entrance exam.
Two weeks later after getting my transcripts, my mother and I went to the high school. The school was
crowded, it was very foreign to me, as I viewed it as I am a small shack in a city full of skyscrapers.
Before enrolling, we talked about trying to take the entrance exam for the program the high school
offers, I agreed. There is no harm in trying anyway, so I will try to give my best just to pass that exam.
Then the day of the entrance exam came. I expected that you can seat wherever you want during the
exam but to my dismay that wasn t the case. The spectators arrange us alphabetically, so being my last
name starts with an A, I was always the first one or if I am lucky the second one to be called. The
spectators were calling our last names one by one, boys were the first one to be called. After all the
boys were called, I got nervous as it is the girls turn to be called. I was called third, and I was placed
in the room where the boys are taking the exam. Along with the two girls that I don t know and who is
sitting in the far front.
During the duration of the exam, I can hear paper shuffling repeatedly. I looked at where the noise was
coming from and lucky enough it was the guy who is sitting beside me. I thought that I can just say a
few words and tell him to stop flipping his paper but I failed, as on the other hand, he thought I am
going to engage in a conversation with him. He began asking me what school I came from, why am I
so pale and that s even questionable because I m not pale, etc. At first, I ignored him hoping that he
will stop talking, he didn t.
Results came, I was very glad that I passed the exam at the same time nervous and I don t

Book Report On The Battle Of The Wilderness Horwitz
In the beginning of the chapter Horwitz wants us to see the great stories of his great grandfather, who
was a Russian immigrant and how he came to America in the 1880 s. Horwitz shared a lot of stories
on the Civil War with his great grandfather. As Horwitz grew up he became interested in journalist and
became a war correspondent and left the country to work overseas. He would marry an Australian
woman and they would move back to Virginia. As the book plays out as Horwitz was sleeping one
morning he would hear a gunshot outside his window. What he would find out is it was a bunch of
men dressed as Confederates soldiers shooting muskets. He would go outside and they would invite
him to their next meeting. Horwitz goal is he wants to find out ... Show more content on

She delves into hope and why we need it. God has a plan for the effects of our hurting and hurtful
lives, the effects that we would prefer to have Him remove. (2001, pg.235) She leads the reader back
to God, who is the healer of all things and this is where our hope originates from. By showing the
reader even in the midst of all of our imperfections, wounds, and hurts He is there with and everlasting
love and ability to heal. Of all hopes this is the greatest: the promise of God s everlasting love. He
plasters that promise from one end of His Word to the other. We come bruised, broken and bound.
Jesus comes healing, mending, and releasing. (2001, pg.240) She shows the reader there is no greater
hope than this in Christ Jesus. Evaluation Dr. Wilson giver her interpretation of Hurt People Hurt
People. By showing how people are hurt through childhood, self inflicted hurts, and unseen wounds
she paints a picture of why and how we now have a new generation of hurt people. Wilson goes
further to give some solutions as to how to heal these hurt people. I believe Dr. Wilson did achieve her
intended purpose to demonstrate why hurt people hurt people. It sounds like a cliché, but it was very
true. Her argument was logical and well supported by her examples and statistical data. This book
taught how to look below the surface of hurt people. By examining closer the reasons behind the

The Presumption of Innocence Down Under
While the Australian legal system abides by the principle of the presumption of innocence, there are
several ways in which courtrooms and their respective rituals, rules and characteristics, contradict the
notion of judicial proceedings being in favour of the accused (CLRG, 1972; Mark, 1973). Indeed,
Friedman and Percival (1976) have suggested that courts now embody efficient processing routine, as
opposed to adjudication. Judicial proceedings can often be characterised by complex legal
terminology that manipulates individuals and exerts power, spatial dominance achieved by furniture
placement, and other rituals which often perpetuate (often unfounded) irrational fears held by both the
accused persons and witnesses. The following observations were noted at the Downing Centre on the
21st of March, 2014 in court rooms 3.1, 5.1 and 5.3. Spatial Organisation As Carlen stated in his
contribution to the British Journal of Criminology, spacing impacts heavily upon peoples ability to
effectively participate in the rituals of court, as well as their ability to defend themselves. Furthermore,
spacing maps out the specific rights and duties individuals have with regards to certain ritual
occasions (1976:50). Upon entering Local Court 5.1, one could immediately notice the power held by
the presiding magistrate. She was seated behind a large, raised podium almost spanning from one side
of the room to the other; the coat of arms raised higher up on the wall directly behind her for all

The Oceanic Corporation (Determining the Cost of Capital)
The Oceanic Corporation (Determining the Cost of Capital) Larry Stone wants to estimate the firm s
hurdle rate because it is a benchmark for how well the company needs to do on a project in order to at
least break even. The higher the hurdle rate, the riskier the project will have to be and the lower the
hurdle rate is, the safer the project will be for a company. A company should strive for a financing mix
that minimizes the hurdle rate and matches the assets being financed. If there are not enough
investments that earn the hurdle rate or better, then the cash should be given as dividends to the
stockholders. As long as the risk is roughly the same for all divisions and there are no outliers, then it
doesn t matter if Larry ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the flotation costs. The flotation cost equals the cost of issuing new stock plus the cost of retained
earnings. According to Stephanie s assumptions, the companies flotation cost is 5% of the issue price
of debt. The firm s hurdle rate can be calculated as the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) as
demonstrated on worksheet Calculations. (1 Tc)rd(D/V)+re(E/V) Where: * Tc is the corporate tax rate
(34% per Stephanie s assumptions) * rd is the cost of debt (estimated as the YTM) * re is the cost of
equity ((rf + β(rm rf)); (.04 + 1.5 (.10 .04))=.13)) [rf is the risk free rate defined as the treasury bill rate
and rm is the market rate of return] * D is dividend (40) * E is equity (60) * V is total value of
dividends and equity (100) The company s hurdle rate equals: ((1 .34)(.1084)(40/100)) + ((.13)
(60/100)) x 100 = 10.66% If the company doesn t take on any high risk projects or new divisions, the
hurdle rate may remain constant or very close to the calculated number. The hurdle rate of 10.66% is a

Liberi A Cultural Overview
Liberia: A Cultural Overview Liberia s political system and history has been strongly based and
influenced on American and English common law. This is due in part to Liberia s initial colonization
of freed American slaves starting around 1820. Initially 86 immigrants, also known as Americo
Liberians settled in the now named Monrovia, named after President James Monroe. In the following
years thousands more freed slaves and free African Americans resettled by a campaign created by the
American Colonization Society. The True Whig Party ruled the country and their first President was
Joseph Jenkins Roberts who was born and raised in America. The government was styled on that of
the United States and the indigenous population were restricted their voting rights by the Americo
Liberian elite. The True Whig Party dominated all sectors of Liberia from independence in 1847 until
April of 1980, when Liberian Master Sergeant Samuel K. Doe, from the Krahn ethnic group, seized
power in a coup d etat. To put a formal end to control by the Americo Liberian political domination
formation of The People s Redemption Council was necessary. The Doe government saw increased
human rights abuses, corruption, and ethnic tensions and the standard of living in Liberia continued to
deteriorate. Doe ensured that he retained close relations with America; he met twice with President
Ronald Reagan and enjoyed considerable financial support from the United States. From 1989 to

Metamorphosis Character Analysis
Bug Man With a hostile expression his father clenched his fist, as if to drive Gregor back into his
room (Kafka, 14). In Metamorphosis, by Franz Kafka, Gregor Samsa s family counts on him to pay

Surprisingly, he tried to live his everyday life and not panic, but when his family discovered that
Gregor was a massive bug they were in terror. This led Gregor s father to threaten to hit him to get
him to stay in his room. Gregor is portrayed as a pathetic character that gets stepped on countless
times by everyone in his life, so the betrayal that he encounters has been going on longer than his bug

This causes Gregor to result in finding a picture of a woman in a magazine as a friend. This comes off
very weird because usually people do not get attached to a picture in a magazine.
Gregor is also betrayed by his family and peers because nobody would help with his mutating
condition. Pitilessly his father came on, hissing like a wild man [...] If only his father did not keep
making this intolerable hissing sound! It made Gregor lose his head completely (Kafka, 18). Gregor s
mother and father completely resent him and do not want anything to do with him, but he sister shows
some compassion. His mother could not look at him without fainting so she could not be around him
even if she wanted to. Gregor s father was more disappointed than anything, His father wants him
healthy so he can make money for the family. Gregor s sister, Grete, on the other hand helps him out a
lot. Grete would bring Gregor different types of food so he does not starve, she also would move the
furniture out of Gregor s way so he has more room. Overall, Gregor is neglected as a bug even more
than he already was as a human.
Gregor is also betrayed by his family in a financial way. His family has him paying for their home and
necessities. Gregor s parents and sister does not work to help out. Gregor works and earns all by
himself for the family. Doing this for the family should earn him some respect and love

A Leadership Theory Based On Values And Teamwork
Moving an organization from stagnation in a new direction can be challenging. Leaders are often
faced with a variety of employee commitment they must navigate and everything becomes enhanced
when leadership is new. For leaders to lead a continuously changing organization they must establish a
foundational leadership theory based on values and teamwork that fit within the organization and the
leaders own skill set.
Foundational Theories
The leaders must understand how the world is changing in relation to the organization and how to
relate their desires for success to possible changes (Allen and Strathern, 2003). At times the first
intervention must be to shake leadership reality to the possible for change as leaders can get caught in
the routine of something that is working, success can build complacency. If leaders are satisfied with
the way things are there is no vision for the future and change that could be made to keep the
organization relevant may pass by.
An organization that know who they are and their values must uphold those values, making decisions
based on who they are as organization. The values of the organization guide the changes that are
made. If employees and the organization are working to achieve the same goal with the same values
then leaders should be able to allow employees opportunity to engage in change (Ford, 2006). If
leadership trusts its employees they then can invite them into the change process as both are making
decision based on organizational

History Of Latin American Underdevelopment By J. Samuel...
Modernization and Dependency: Alternative Perspectives in the Study of Latin American
Underdevelopment by J. Samuel Valenzuela and Arturo Valenzuela broadly compares and analyzes
modernization and the dependency approach (1978, p.536) within the context of underdevelopment in
Latin America.
Valenzuela and Valenzuela first begin by discussing the modernization perspective, its assumptions
and how this perspective relates to Latin America underdevelopment (1978, p.537). Valenzuela and
Valenzuela determined that modernization literature assumes that for a society to modernize it must
reject traditional values and patterns. Essentially, it is the internal traditional practises that need to be
dismantled for modernization to take place. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Development and underdevelopment are linked and condition each other mutually resulting in a
divided world that consists of industrial central countries and underdeveloped peripheral countries
(Valenzuela and Valenzuela, 1978, p.544), with the periphery often being constrained by its role in the
global capitalist system (Valenzuela and Valenzuela, 1978, p.544).
The level of analysis differs greatly between the modernization approach and dependency approach,
where modernization focuses predominantly on the behaviours, beliefs and traditions of individuals,
the dependency approach focuses on elements outside the individual unit such as international trade,
class alliances and conflict (Valenzuela and Valenzuela, 1978, p.550). Where the modernization
approach focuses on the microsocial, the dependency approach focuses on the macrosocial
(Valenzuela and Valenzuela, 1978, p.550).
Valenzuela and Valenzuela have determined that the dependency approach has a fundamental
advantage compared to modernization theory (1978, p.552), dependency perspective is much more
open to drawing from a broader body of evidence and range of phenomena, such as the relationship
between central countries and the periphery , trade and class alliances. Modernization theory, which
operates on a simple conceptual framework and a reductionist approach , such as the traditional
modern dichotomy (Valenzuela and Valenzuela, 1978, p.552),

Compare And Contrast The Military Conquest Of Mesoamerican...
During the years of Mesoamerican civilizations, natives were ambushed in a physically and religious
manner. Mesoamerica was introduced to various different forms of conquest from the Spaniards.
Through military conquest the Spanish decreased and destroyed the native population, art, and
buildings. This led to the destruction of the native s religion making them into a monotheistic society.
Hernando Cortes arrived in Mesoamerica in 1519 bringing his military with him. Easily walking into
the Mexica s capital Tenochtitlan through the invitation of Montezuma 2 the leader at the time, Cortes
found himself destroying and killing various amounts of people and statues. This made the people
outraged and started to fight against him. Through the advance technology of the Spaniards the native
people had no chance of having a successful retaliation. Using military to destroy religious
monuments the Spanish also started to enforce their religion, which differed from the natives. The
Spanish started to build churches and started presenting their monotheistic religion which the natives
weren t please with because they were polytheistic, multiple gods. These people started to loose

Analysis Of Toni Morrison s Song Of Solomon
Victoria Sirianni Ms. Thompson AP ELA 4 21 July 2015 Song of Solomon Producing the plot with a
vivid image and motive allowed Toni Morrison to incorporate numerous literary works to enhance the
allusions in the story. These specific allusions gave readers a more accurate understanding of certain
aspects of the book. As well as this, readers are capable of searching beyond just the surface of what
the words say. The common use of biblical references and myths, as well as other notations, provide a
more in depth and detailed analyzation throughout the entire novel. To start off, Song of Solomon s
title relates to the biblical book of the same name. This emphasizes that the novel addresses more of
an old aged theme. The bible based book focuses on a conversation between two lovers and Toni s
novel is a celebration of the success of earthly love. Morrison also gives her characters biblical names
in order to match them with the well known figures. These characters not only obtain their original
history, but the history that their name carries in the Bible, as well. For example, the biblical character,
Hagar, is Sarah s handmaiden, who bears Sarah s husband a son and is then banished from his sight.
Similar to the previous one mentioned, Morrison s character is often used by Milkman. He takes
advantage of everything she has to offer and uses it for his own selfish benefits. He seems to regret

The Between Antioch And Cyprian Of Carthage
Though writing at different times and to different audiences, both Ignatius of Antioch and Cyprian of
Carthage found their voices in addressing the topic of Church unity, among other themes. In the midst
of impending or recent persecution, both Ignatius and Cyprian warned against schism and encouraged
the Church to persevere in the face of confusion. Ignatius and Cyprian both treat church unity as a gift
from the Holy Spirit to be preserved, and also claim that this unity is dependent on perseverance in
faith, unified participation in the sacraments, and respecting the integrity of apostolic succession.
Without unification of and among these three elements, both Ignatius and Cyprian resolve that true
unity, and thus salvation, is unattainable.
To begin, it is worth looking at the language with which both Ignatius and Cyprian speak of unity. In
both Ignatius letters, and Cyprians The Unity of the Catholic Church (The Unity), the writers paint
beautiful, glorious pictures of a unified Church while also speaking sternly of its importance. In his
letter to the Ephesians Ignatius says, Yes, one and all, you should form yourselves into a choir, so that,
in perfect harmony and taking your pitch from God, you may sing in unison and with one voice to the
Father through Jesus Christ...Therefore you need to abide in irreproachable unity if you really want to
be God s members forever (Ephesians 4). In similarly beautiful yet severe language, Cyprian writes,

In other words:
In each of these films, why do the characters do what they do? What motivates them? Why do they

that are particular to that time and place in history? These questions interested me as i watched Bridge
of Spies, Thin Red Line,Far From Heaven and Malcolm X because I didn t understand why characters
and directors would make certain decisions.
In Good Night and Good Luck why was McCarthy accusing everyone who opposed him of

purpose and I think that helped make the movie watchable. Another thing the director did was show
both sides the Chinese and the Americans. It made me as the viewer question who was the bad guy

In Far From Heaven Why did the husband cheat on his wife with a guy and when did he turn gay? I

Equine Conditioning
Equines have been essential to the evolution of our society for over 4,000 years, providing speed and
strength to aid in work, travel, and war. They are extreme athletes, capable of producing high speeds
and stamina and are able to do so efficiently. This is due partly to the muscle physiology of the equine.
In most mammals, 40 45% of body weight is made of muscle mass. In horses this percentage is
increased to over 50%. Horses are not all the same, however. Different breeds have different skeletal
muscle builds as well as muscle types. For example, the Thoroughbred, one of the most athletic breeds
of horses, has a muscle mass percentage of almost 55%. (Gunn, 1979) Conditioning of our equine
athletes is an important part of equine care, especially ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Interval training consists of workouts over a specified period of time or distance to increase the
heartrate, with breaks in between to lower heartrate. These exercises were carried out at walk, trot,
canter, and gallops. Swimming was also included on some days. Kikkuli describes strenuous
workouts, often for three times a day. An example in the text details trotting their horses on the chariot
for 18 miles and then galloping for over three quarters of a mile. They are returned to the stable,
washed down, and fed. At night they are then trotted for an additional 6 miles and galloped for three
quarters of a mile. Horses were given breaks, easy days, and days off as needed and while the primary
goal was to create a fit war machine, the horses were allowed to progress on their own time. As the
training continued, the exercises remained similar is style but the difficulty and length increased.
(McMiken, 1990) These exact methods were reproduced in the 1990s by Dr. Ann Nyland, an
endurance racing competitor. She took 10 Arabian horses and followed Kikkuli s strenuous methods
and found that his methods produced an extremely healthy and fit horse compared to modern training
techniques at the time. (Coetzee Eysturlid,

Grief And Grief Of Grief
Grief is a part of life that is simply unavoidable. People grieve over a multitude of different things. For
instance, when one thinks of grief they often immediately think of death; that a person has to
experience the loss of a loved one to understand and go through the grieving process. However, grief
is defined as deep sorrow, so anything causing one to feel a deep sense of sadness can cause them to
go through the grieving process. The process of grief consists of five stages. The first is denial, where
one is surprised and shocked to the point of disbelief. The second stage is anger, where one is just mad
that it happened in general. Then they enter the third stage of depression, where they are done being
mad, but are instead incredibly sad and are having a hard time even functioning. The fourth stage is
bargaining, where one grieves their own life and begins to bargain with God and question what they
could have done differently. Finally they then reach the fifth and final stage which is acceptance,
where one is able to think upon the event and have happy thoughts. I have experienced grief in my life
already more than a couple of times, and all being due to different types of unfortunate events
occurring. Though, I specifically remember going through every step in the grieving process after the
death of my good friend Sam. When my best friend Jacob woke me up with a call to inform me that

Offensive Word Essay
The main issue is the use of a word that many find offensive, in a book that many consider to be one
of the greatest American novels. To make the book more accessible to a greater number of people,
New South Books has reprinted Huckleberry Finn changing that offensive word to slave . The
argument has two sides, on one side of the argument we have the scholars who believe that removing
the offensive word from the book changes the book and makes the impact of the book less significant;
the other side of the argument is those who say changing the word to a less offensive word takes away
the impact and importance of the book. The first side who is in favor of the word being included in the

He read a quote from the book that puts Huck Finn and Jim on the same side and not against each

is excessive and disrupts the message of anti slavery. Was Mark Twain just trying to capture the
manner in which people spoke back in Huckleberry Finn s time, which is what those in favor of
keeping the offensive language in the book believe? I get the sense that Byron Pitts does feel
uncomfortable with the word being used, for this reason he seems to sway towards the side in favor of

The Significance Of Strategic Bombing Of Germany
In this essay I will assess the significance of strategic bombing of Germany. I will do this by
evaluating four key areas of the German war effort. This will include German and British moral,
German economy, its effect on the outcome of the Eastern Front and the results of the preparation for
D Day. Overall allied bombing did not have a significant impact on the outcome of the war as for the
majority of the war bombing techniques and technology were primitive and so had little effect. It only
became a threatening tool latter on in the war, when the allies had effectively won.
One potentially significant area of impact caused by strategic bombing was its effect on German
moral. This is because it was expected to terrify and shock the German ... Show more content on

This panic combined with the bombing of a single rocket research station was enough to make the
Luftwaffe chief of staff, Hans Jeschonnek, commit suicide. The devastating effect of these events was
amplified by the fear of an invasion of Germany, due to the Allied forces landing in Normandy and the
Russians approaching from the East. However, because of the unreliability of bomber commands
performance the Nazis managed to quickly control the situation. They ensured that no photographs or
news reports were published from the bomb stricken reports meaning that the rest of Germany could
only gather information from stories and tales. On top of this only a small part of Germany was
bombed as the allied forces simply did not have the technology to reach the majority of the Reich.
That it was relatively easy for the country to regroup, resulting in heavy retaliation and a continuous
growth in German production. However, in the last years of the war bombing technology drastically
improved and the attacks were relentless. As opposed to less than one quarter of bombs dropping
within five miles of the target, each bomb now hit their target and inflicted maximum damage due to

includes, introduction of scheme such as the River Basin Development Authority (1979), National
Accelerated Food Production (NAFP) was introduced in 1972, Operation Feed the Nation (OFN) was
inaugurated

  • 2. Mental Rotation of Images Abstract The idea of mental imagery has always been a controversial subject in the field of psychology. Many psychologists have argued that such a concept is impossible to measure because it can not be directly observed. Though they are right about this, it is not impossible to measure how quickly mental rotations of images are processed in our brains. Subjects in this experiment were presented two shapes simultaneously, via computer screen, and asked to make judgement, as quickly as possible, as to whether the two shapes presented were the same or mirror images. Two different shapes were used in this experiment, each given as often as the other. During each trial one shape remained stationary and the other was rotated with varying ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Overall, when comparing the reaction times of pictures to letters, picture reaction times are said to be generally greater. In conducting this experiment 20 right handed subjects were used, 10 male and 10 female. Subjects participated in this study either to earn course credit, or for payment of ten dollars per hour. Three things were concluded from this experiment. First, picture rotations took longer to perform than letter rotations. Second, there were no sex differences in reaction times for either stimulus presented, and third, there was a linear increase in reaction times as angular disparity of both stimuli sets increased (Desrocher, smith Taylor, 1995). As predicted this study did replicate some previous findings. However, based on the data from this experiment sex differences did not yield a significant difference in reaction times when presented with the different stimuli. Concurrent with our data, both of the previously mentioned experiments concluded the same thing; reaction times increased as angular disparity increased. Although the objectives in each experiment were somewhat different, there has been a sufficient amount of evidence to support the hypothesis, that reaction times will increase as the angular disparity of objects increase. Edgar Wright s Film, Baby Driver Edgar Wright s musical heist film Baby Driver hit theaters in June 2017 and earned stellar reviews from critics and general audiences alike for the unique way it synchronized the action unfolding on the screen with its excellent soundtrack boasting music from multiple decades, here s how they did it. Written and directed by Wright, Baby Driver casts The Fault in Our Stars actor Ansel Elgort as Baby , a supremely skilled getaway driver who depends on a steady stream of music in order to counteract the effects of tinnitus, or a hum in the drum as the film describes it. He received this tragedy during a horrid car crash that did away with both of his parents. Now orphaned, he finds himself on the run after a robbery turned for the worst, while finding a way to protect the people he loves while evading both cops and accomplices/murders. ... Slater and his crew produced hundreds of customized sound effects and carefully positioned each one to fit perfectly with the action on screen. The whole movie is orchestrated to whatever Baby is listening to at the moment, Slater explains to Digital Trends. Gunfights are in time with the music. Car chases are cut in sync. • 4. The Importance Of Social Workers From A Professional... The importance for social workers to understand communities from a professional perspective is to help eliminate any potential bias and emotional and/or physical attachment to the studied community. At the same time, the social worker views the studied community through the lens of residents living within that community without clouded judgment and fulfillment of personal agenda. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz reverses the accepted gender roles of its time, women taking control, even helping men in times of need. This idea is depicted throughout the entire novel, affecting almost every character introduced. This novel essentially questions and challenges the accepted beliefs on the roles of gender in the society at that time, showing how things would be if roles were different. With this, through a description of the characters, you can see who was empowered by Baum and who held an inferior role. In this novel, the women and the men have very different roles. Two other women that were empowered by Baum were the female stork and the Queen of Mice. The group came upon the female stork when they were in trouble. The Scarecrow was stuck in the river, and the Tin Woodman and the Lion were not able to save him. It seemed as if they had given up, until the Stork came and offered her help to get him across. Then the Stork with her great claws grabbed the Scarecrow by the arm and carried him up into the air and back to the bank... (Baum 47). She was able to do something that the men were unable to do. Baum made her more powerful than them. The Queen of Mice was also empowered by Baum, first off by just being a leader, as a woman, to a large group. She also guided the group of mice to save the Lion from the poisonous field, which the Tin Woodman and the Scarecrow could not do alone. With her help, their friend was saved. • 10. Overview of Cash Flow Management Cash Flow Management Poor cash management is the most frequent stumbling block that causes business failure (Anon., 2013). Good cash management comes from knowing when, where, and how cash needs will occur. Knowing the best sources for cash is vital to being prepared to meet needs as they arise. This requires good relationships with bankers and creditors. Developing and maintaining cash flow projections helps to understand how cash is generated and used in a business. Without understanding the cash flow of a business, the business is doomed for failure. Mr. Morello s projected cash flow for January 2012 to June 2012 shows negative cash flows for January and May, with January $42,560 and May $1,190 in the negative. The majority of the January expenses come from the needs of the contract. The May loss can be covered with profits from February, March, and April, but January becomes a major problem. The projected budget shows enough in profits to obtain a loan to cover the loss, overdraft, and still have some working capital for expenses, such as fuel or maintenance for vehicles that is not in the projected budget. Mr. Morello would need to obtain a loan for at least $50,000. Because accounts receivable can sometimes be unpredictable, it would be wiser to consider the loan for $60,000 to ensure that the business needs are met in a timely manner. In efforts to reduce the interest expense from a loan, community banks and the Small Business Administration offer lower interest ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In today s society trust is slowly starting to disintegrate with the lack of face to face communication within the age of electronic communication. Because of this we have the inability to trust others as it starts to develop into trust issues, especially among the younger generation from the lack of physical connection among individuals. An example of substitutes is Coca Cola and Pepsi because as the price of Coca Cola, the demand for Pepsi will go up. Complements are two goods for which an increase in the price of one leads to a decrease in the demand for the other. An example of complements is coffee vs donuts because as the price of coffee goes, the demand for donuts will go down. Both substitutes and complements affect the cross elasticity of demand, which is a measure of how much the quantity demanded of one good responds to a change in price of another good, computed as the percentage change in quantity demanded of the first good divided by the percentage change in price of the second good. Substitutes cause a positive relationship, while complements cause a negative relationship. Dunkin Donuts is a real world example of how a change in price to a complementary goods affects demand. Wilson goes further to give some solutions as to how to heal these hurt people. I believe Dr. Wilson did achieve her intended purpose to demonstrate why hurt people hurt people. It sounds like a cliché, but it was very true. Her argument was logical and well supported by her examples and statistical data. This book taught how to look below the surface of hurt people. • 27. The Presumption of Innocence Down Under While the Australian legal system abides by the principle of the presumption of innocence, there are several ways in which courtrooms and their respective rituals, rules and characteristics, contradict the notion of judicial proceedings being in favour of the accused (CLRG, 1972; Mark, 1973). Indeed, Friedman and Percival (1976) have suggested that courts now embody efficient processing routine, as opposed to adjudication. Judicial proceedings can often be characterised by complex legal terminology that manipulates individuals and exerts power, spatial dominance achieved by furniture placement, and other rituals which often perpetuate (often unfounded) irrational fears held by both the accused persons and witnesses. The following observations were noted at the Downing Centre on the 21st of March, 2014 in court rooms 3.1, 5.1 and 5.3. Spatial Organisation As Carlen stated in his contribution to the British Journal of Criminology, spacing impacts heavily upon peoples ability to effectively participate in the rituals of court, as well as their ability to defend themselves. Furthermore, spacing maps out the specific rights and duties individuals have with regards to certain ritual occasions (1976:50). Upon entering Local Court 5.1, one could immediately notice the power held by the presiding magistrate. She was seated behind a large, raised podium almost spanning from one side of the room to the other; the coat of arms raised higher up on the wall directly behind her for all ... The Oceanic Corporation (Determining the Cost of Capital) The Oceanic Corporation (Determining the Cost of Capital) Larry Stone wants to estimate the firm s hurdle rate because it is a benchmark for how well the company needs to do on a project in order to at least break even. The higher the hurdle rate, the riskier the project will have to be and the lower the hurdle rate is, the safer the project will be for a company. A company should strive for a financing mix that minimizes the hurdle rate and matches the assets being financed. • 29. Liberi A Cultural Overview Liberia: A Cultural Overview Liberia s political system and history has been strongly based and influenced on American and English common law. This is due in part to Liberia s initial colonization of freed American slaves starting around 1820. Initially 86 immigrants, also known as Americo Liberians settled in the now named Monrovia, named after President James Monroe. In the following years thousands more freed slaves and free African Americans resettled by a campaign created by the American Colonization Society. The True Whig Party ruled the country and their first President was Joseph Jenkins Roberts who was born and raised in America. The government was styled on that of the United States and the indigenous population were restricted their voting rights by the Americo Liberian elite. The True Whig Party dominated all sectors of Liberia from independence in 1847 until April of 1980, when Liberian Master Sergeant Samuel K. Doe, from the Krahn ethnic group, seized power in a coup d etat. To put a formal end to control by the Americo Liberian political domination formation of The People s Redemption Council was necessary. The Doe government saw increased human rights abuses, corruption, and ethnic tensions and the standard of living in Liberia continued to deteriorate. • 31. A Leadership Theory Based On Values And Teamwork Moving an organization from stagnation in a new direction can be challenging. Leaders are often faced with a variety of employee commitment they must navigate and everything becomes enhanced when leadership is new. For leaders to lead a continuously changing organization they must establish a foundational leadership theory based on values and teamwork that fit within the organization and the leaders own skill set. Foundational Theories The leaders must understand how the world is changing in relation to the organization and how to relate their desires for success to possible changes (Allen and Strathern, 2003). At times the first intervention must be to shake leadership reality to the possible for change as leaders can get caught in the routine of something that is working, success can build complacency. If leaders are satisfied with the way things are there is no vision for the future and change that could be made to keep the organization relevant may pass by. An organization that know who they are and their values must uphold those values, making decisions based on who they are as organization. The values of the organization guide the changes that are made. If employees and the organization are working to achieve the same goal with the same values then leaders should be able to allow employees opportunity to engage in change (Ford, 2006). Samuel Valenzuela and Arturo Valenzuela broadly compares and analyzes modernization and the dependency approach (1978, p.536) within the context of underdevelopment in Latin America. Valenzuela and Valenzuela first begin by discussing the modernization perspective, its assumptions and how this perspective relates to Latin America underdevelopment (1978, p.537). Valenzuela and Valenzuela determined that modernization literature assumes that for a society to modernize it must reject traditional values and patterns. Essentially, it is the internal traditional practises that need to be dismantled for modernization to take place. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Development and underdevelopment are linked and condition each other mutually resulting in a divided world that consists of industrial central countries and underdeveloped peripheral countries (Valenzuela and Valenzuela, 1978, p.544), with the periphery often being constrained by its role in the global capitalist system (Valenzuela and Valenzuela, 1978, p.544). The level of analysis differs greatly between the modernization approach and dependency approach, where modernization focuses predominantly on the behaviours, beliefs and traditions of individuals, the dependency approach focuses on elements outside the individual unit such as international trade, class alliances and conflict (Valenzuela and Valenzuela, 1978, p.550). Where the modernization approach focuses on the microsocial, the dependency approach focuses on the macrosocial (Valenzuela and Valenzuela, 1978, p.550). Valenzuela and Valenzuela have determined that the dependency approach has a fundamental advantage compared to modernization theory (1978, p.552), dependency perspective is much more open to drawing from a broader body of evidence and range of phenomena, such as the relationship between central countries and the periphery , trade and class alliances. Analysis Of Toni Morrison s Song Of Solomon Victoria Sirianni Ms. Thompson AP ELA 4 21 July 2015 Song of Solomon Producing the plot with a vivid image and motive allowed Toni Morrison to incorporate numerous literary works to enhance the allusions in the story. These specific allusions gave readers a more accurate understanding of certain aspects of the book. As well as this, readers are capable of searching beyond just the surface of what the words say. The common use of biblical references and myths, as well as other notations, provide a more in depth and detailed analyzation throughout the entire novel. To start off, Song of Solomon s title relates to the biblical book of the same name. This emphasizes that the novel addresses more of an old aged theme. The bible based book focuses on a conversation between two lovers and Toni s novel is a celebration of the success of earthly love. Morrison also gives her characters biblical names in order to match them with the well known figures. These characters not only obtain their original history, but the history that their name carries in the Bible, as well. For example, the biblical character, Hagar, is Sarah s handmaiden, who bears Sarah s husband a son and is then banished from his sight. • 35. The Between Antioch And Cyprian Of Carthage Though writing at different times and to different audiences, both Ignatius of Antioch and Cyprian of Carthage found their voices in addressing the topic of Church unity, among other themes. In the midst of impending or recent persecution, both Ignatius and Cyprian warned against schism and encouraged the Church to persevere in the face of confusion. Ignatius and Cyprian both treat church unity as a gift from the Holy Spirit to be preserved, and also claim that this unity is dependent on perseverance in faith, unified participation in the sacraments, and respecting the integrity of apostolic succession. Without unification of and among these three elements, both Ignatius and Cyprian resolve that true unity, and thus salvation, is unattainable. To begin, it is worth looking at the language with which both Ignatius and Cyprian speak of unity. In both Ignatius letters, and Cyprians The Unity of the Catholic Church (The Unity), the writers paint beautiful, glorious pictures of a unified Church while also speaking sternly of its importance. In his letter to the Ephesians Ignatius says, Yes, one and all, you should form yourselves into a choir, so that, in perfect harmony and taking your pitch from God, you may sing in unison and with one voice to the Father through Jesus Christ...Therefore you need to abide in irreproachable unity if you really want to be God s members forever (Ephesians 4). For instance, when one thinks of grief they often immediately think of death; that a person has to experience the loss of a loved one to understand and go through the grieving process. However, grief is defined as deep sorrow, so anything causing one to feel a deep sense of sadness can cause them to go through the grieving process. The process of grief consists of five stages. The first is denial, where one is surprised and shocked to the point of disbelief. The second stage is anger, where one is just mad that it happened in general. Then they enter the third stage of depression, where they are done being mad, but are instead incredibly sad and are having a hard time even functioning. The fourth stage is bargaining, where one grieves their own life and begins to bargain with God and question what they could have done differently. Finally they then reach the fifth and final stage which is acceptance, where one is able to think upon the event and have happy thoughts. I have experienced grief in my life already more than a couple of times, and all being due to different types of unfortunate events occurring.
