phone, they killed these people. In 2015, 5,376 pedestrians were killed because of drivers who were
too busy texting. All those pedestrians who were killed did not think that because of walking
somewhere they would be killed by someone so distracted who didn t have the capacity to make sure
that the road was clear for them to keep driving. If this problem had further consequences, then many

King Lear and Jay Gatsby are both influential and wealthy men consumed by obsession and lose
everything in their desperate pursuit of love. This is their tragic flaw; and one that ultimately leads to
their demise.
Within Shakespeare s King Lear and F. Scott Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby, the following human
flaws are explored: obsession, greed, yearning, and loss. These flaws are a commonality between these
two characters. Although these flaws are standard for many characters among many genres, they are
unique only to Lear and Gatsby because they lead to their death. Lear and Gatsby share a dream of
power and love, but this dream slowly becomes an unhealthy obsession. King Lear is so blinded by his
love for his daughters that he does not see that they are only using him for his wealth. Jay Gatsby
shares a mutual experience; he is oblivious to Daisy Buchanan s materialistic and selfish ways and is

This had to be done because the town was being destroyed! The hospital went bankrupt because of all
the immigrants who had no money because they had to provide them with free care. Also, Immigrants
always come first now, even before paying citizens. If there were two people in an emergency room, a
Mexican and an American, the Mexican would be cared for first even if the American had been there
first or was in greater need of care. It s hard to believe what things have come to. Americans are
beginning to take action and speak up. The majority of people say that they would not mind
immigrants if they were treated like us and had to abide by our rules. It s not a good feeling to put
your kids in the car and go out knowing that there are millions of immigrants who have no idea how to
drive out there on the road with you. Think of the danger we are being subjected to and what makes it
worse is that it s unnecessary. What would it hurt to take a drivers test before getting out on the road?
When you enter America you should be willing to do this, after all, it is no crime to want to chase after
the American dream. When they can come over here and accept our culture and heritage and stop
trying to change us, then they will be welcome. When they have to take a drivers test before getting a
license, pay taxes, and pay for their own food and health care, then and only then, will they be truly
