2. What is e-assessment?
This is not as simple a question as it might appear.
e-Assessment is the use of information technology for any
assessment-related activity. This definition embraces a wide range of
student activity ranging from the use of a word processor to on-screen
testing.
Due to its obvious similarity to e-learning, the term e-assessment is
becoming widelyused as a generictermto describe the use of computers
within the assessment process.
It covers virtually all aspects of assessment activity where the
computer is used to develop tasks, deliver them, and then collect the
responses and mark them, and return results to candidates.
