Prof. Vasudha Kamat was a Vice Chancellor of SNDT Women's University, the first women's UNi versity in India and South East Asia (from 2011-16). She was a member of National Education Policy Committee constituted by the Government of India and the Committee has submitted the Draft Policy to the GoI. She is a member of the Task Force for Examining Age of Motherhood constituted by GoI. She was Joint Director of Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT during 2007-11. She is a member of Advisory Committee of Open Education for Better World (oe4bw) a Project undertaken worldwide by the UNESCO Chair Slovenia and University of Nova Gorica, Slovenia.
