This document discusses various bone and joint disorders, including fractures, arthritis, and spinal abnormalities. It describes different types of fractures such as closed/simple, open/compound, greenstick, and comminuted fractures. The treatment for fractures includes casting, splinting, traction, and sometimes surgery. Arthritis is defined as joint inflammation, with rheumatoid arthritis being an autoimmune disease. Abnormal spinal curvatures like kyphosis, lordosis, and scoliosis are also discussed. The role of osteoporosis in bone mineral loss and increased fracture risk is covered. Diagnostic tools like arthroscopy and treatments including casting and traction are summarized.
Metastasis is the MC malignancy of bone.
Breast cancer is the MC primary site.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
The Indian economy is classified into different sectors to simplify the analysis and understanding of economic activities. For Class 10, it's essential to grasp the sectors of the Indian economy, understand their characteristics, and recognize their importance. This guide will provide detailed notes on the Sectors of the Indian Economy Class 10, using specific long-tail keywords to enhance comprehension.

The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?
2. Trauma
Fracture- any break in
bone
Closed or simple
fracture – bone
broken, broken ends
do not break the
skin
Treatment – closed
reduction, cast or
splint applied.
3. Fracture cont.
Open or compound
fracture- broken bones
pierce the skin and can
lead to infection.
Open reduction –
surgical intervention
with devices such as
wires, metal plates, or
screws to hold the
bones in alignment.
5. Fracture cont…
Comminuted –
splintered or broken
into many pieces.
Treatment- cast,
possible surgery
depending how bad
the break is.
6. Dislocation – bone
displaced from proper
position in joint.
Sprain- sudden or
unusual motion,
ligaments torn but joint
not dislocated.
Treatment – traction
pulling force used to
hold the bones in place
used for fractures of
long bones.
7. Arthritis- inflammation of one or more
joints…
Rheumatoid Arthritis chronic,
autoimmune disease-joints
become swollen and painful,
joint deformities common.
8. Abnormal Curvature of the spine
Kyphosis-
hunchback
Lordosis-
swayback
Scoliosis-
Lateral
curvature
9. Osteoporosis – 80% of
those affected are
women. Mineral density
of bone is reduced 35%
- 65%. The loss of bone
mass leaves the bone
thinner, porous and
more prone to fracture (
on x-ray looks like swiss
cheese) prevented by
dietary calcium.
10. Diagnosis and Treatment
Arthroscopy
examination into
joint using
arthroscope with
fiber optic lens, most
knee injuries are
treated with
arthroscopy.

likely to fracture. This
condition is called:

Ted fractured his tibia, and
the bone broke through
the skin. This type of
fracture is known as a?
Suzi injured her ankle
while skating. Her x-ray
shows no signs of bone
abnormality but her doctor
feels she had damaged
ligaments. Suzi’s
diagnosis is a:
Tina fell out of a tree and
broke her clavicle. This
bone injury is called a:
Poor posture can cause

The medical term for this
condition is:
Mrs. Locklear suffers from

joints. This condition is
known as:
During routine school
checkup, it is noted that
Susan’s spine is curved
from side to side. This is

Abnormal curvature of the
thoracic spine causes a
“hunchback” appearance.
This disorder is known as:
The main reason for

fracture is to:
osteoporosis Compound fracture
sprain
fracture Lordosis Arthritis
Scoliosis Kyphosis Immobilize the bone
