Various investigation show that driver s drowsiness is one of the main cause of road accidents. The
development of technology for preventing drowsiness at the time is a major challenge in the field of
accidents avoidance. The advance in computing technology has provided the means for building
intelligent vehicle system. The purpose of this study is to detect the drowsiness in driver to prevent
accidents and to improve safety on the highway. The aim of this project is to design an Accident
Prevention System which helps in preventing or avoiding accidents.
A real time face detection is implemented to locate driver s face region. A method of detecting
drowsiness in drivers developed by using a camera that points directly towards the driver face and
capture for the video. As a detection method, the system uses image processing technology using
MATLAB to analysis images of the driver face taken with the help of video camera. The captured
video is done, it is converted into numbers of frame of face and monitoring of the face region and eyes
in order to detect drowsiness. The system is able to monitoring eyes and determine whether the eyes
are in an open or closed. This detection system provides a non contact technique for judging various
level of alertness and facilitates early detection of a decline in alertness during driving.

There are two different types of thermal energy used, passive and active form. Passive solar heating
does not require any equipments because the heat because it enters the building independently. On the
other hand, active solar heating needs a medium to absorb and store solar radiation. One example of
an active solar heating is energy storage system. Other than that, solar thermal power plant indirectly
produces electric power when heat of the solar collected is used to heat a fluid; this method could

This type of policing is reactive where police officers patrol communities looking for crimes that have
or are occurring. This style of policing allows for all suspects to be treated the same regardless of
criminogenic factors. This type of policing leads to higher arrests and can be used as a deterrent due to

effective when focusing on tackling a specific crime that is causing great numbers of harm to societies

Gene Colan was an American comic book artist best known for his work for Marvel. He is best known
for his work on 1964 Daredevil, Howard the Duck, and The Tomb of Dracula.
Colan was inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2005. He passed away in 2011.
Gene Colan s mark making is exceptional. The strokes of the pencil and hatching are used to
communicate form and structure to the figures and elements in his drawings. Solid black would
immensely flatten the images, but the quick hatch work brings energy and life to the characters.
This portrait of a vampire character is a good example of the hatching to create form. The vampire s

The mark making in the man in the last panel align with the contours of his head and face, bringing
form to his features and facial structure. Similar pencil strokes are scene in the crowd, but are less
pronounced when compared to the man in his own panel.
The buildings are successful in the sense of pattern, but are not correct in terms of perspective.
Overall, this page has nice mark making, but lacks in readability.
The black placement in the page brings attention to the areas framed by light. The figures are the focal
point in both panels.
In the first panel, the black placement weights the bed as it recedes into the floor, but then is balanced
out by the cast shadow of the wall in the top left corner. The second panel has a similar effect from the
bed black placement. However, the face on the poster on the wall is staring right at the viewer, and he
becomes the focal point of the room instead of the figures in the bed.
The hatch direction gives form to all the surfaces of the room. The bed covers specifically benefit
from the directional hatching in the folds. The forms also benefit from the directionality.
The artist has left plenty of room for world bubbles and any other text.
The overview of the down shot successfully establishes the anchor points of the room before moving
to a close up on the characters in the bed.
