Texas has had a long history of being a state that marijuana is smuggled into across the border with
Mexico. The anti marijuana laws in Texas are some of the strictest in the United States with high fines

have stated, the arguments offered in this article were hindered by some instances. I feel that the first
argument had strong and credible evidence to support it, but with more information provided it would
have helped to inform a reader with no previous knowledge about the history of the issue. As for the
second argument, this one would have been much stronger with the incorporation of hard data, such as

dividend. Before an investor should consider buying or selling a stock, it should always contemplate
how dividends should be incorporated in that decision. BAC current pays a 1.44% annual dividend.

because that extra percentage can cover a large portion of the fees involved with trading stocks. I think

As I began working on this essay, my first step was to google charter school news articles. One of the
first two articles that I came across was from a well known conservative news source. The other was
published in a prominent outlet for liberal news. I was amazed at the polar opposite views that the two
sources had on the subject and decided to see if this dichotomy continued in other news outlets as
well. I then looked up a ranking of various news sources as liberal or conservative. I visited websites
with varying political views and read articles that they had composed about charter schools and their

clear divide. The liberal media is wholeheartedly opposed to charter schools whereas the conservative
media views them as the only saving grace for our failing school system. These opinions on charter
schools are very closely tied to the overall world view of our two major political parties. Both sides
agree that our school system is struggling and needs to be improved in some way. However, they

Being from the east coast and not of the Italian culture, the festival was a refreshing yet,
uncomfortable experience at times. I observed a traditional dance, the tarantella and those around the
area all seemed to know most of the steps or the words to some of the songs in the set they played.
The locals tried to get me to dance along but, I could not keep up with them on the fly. The tarantella
is one of the most famous of Italian dances and performers dance quickly to an upbeat song (Holy
Rosary Catholic Church, 2015). It is said that the performers sweat out the poison of a deadly tarantula
and the dance could last for hours and could be religious in nature to some.

raw food diet better known as raw foodism. Raw foodism is a diet that consist of eating unprocessed
and uncooked foods. Each of these two diets are hardly well known to certain people in the world
because it consists of giving up multiple foods or preparing food differently. Fruitarianism and Raw
foodism are extreme lifestyles that have many health risks, but there are benefits and negatives to both
these diets. Fruitarianism is a devoted diet that requires motivation of giving up everything that is not
fruit. The Fruitarian Foundation determines on who is classified as a fruitarian, Fruitarian is someone
who has a diet composed of more than 50% fruit. There are actually a set of rules that their diet
requires which what fruits they can eat. Fruitarians can choose from seven basic fruit groups: Acid
fruits: Citrus, pineapples, strawberries, pomegranates... Subacid fruits: Sweet apples, sweet cherries,
raspberries, blackberries,... Sweet fruits: Bananas, grapes, melons, and persimmons. Nuts: Pecans,
almonds, Brazil, cashews,... Seeds: Sunflower, sesame, squash, and pumpkin. Dried fruits: Dates, figs,
apricots, apples,...Oily fruits: Avocados, coconuts, and olives (). They can choose any of these fruits
from these categories but they have to be purchased at only organic stores or taken the fruit directly

The American Cinema of the 1950s can be noted for its various portrayals of masculinity and
dominating consumer culture geared toward male gender. Arguably hidden behind punks and
gangsters was a class of defiant girls who subverted the gender ideals of the time and are evidenced
through a series of Bad Girl films. The bad girl film cycle is one of the latter trends of the 50s Social
Problem film and an examination of this cycle will provide theoretical speculation regarding its
influence on the rise of the Second Wave Feminist Movement.
In order to examine the potential influence of these films and the topicality of bad girl representation
during the 1950s scare of juvenile delinquency, the following lines of inquiry will be explored:
1. An examination of the evolution of female representation in various film genres of the 1950s
highlighting the commonly subservient role of female characters and the gender roles perpetuated
through texts of this decade.
2. Next, I will reiterate the Social Problem film and the scare of juvenile delinquency during the
1950s. I will introduce the bad girl film genre in more detail, expanding the tropes/motifs of this cycle,
and demonstrates how this genre can be subcategorized as a social problem film.
