Copper Kettle Catering is a full-service catering company with two divisions - a delivery-only boxed lunch service with consistent demand, and a serve-and-deliver business catering large events which requires longer lead times as customers book weeks or months in advance. The company is facing issues with inconsistent demand for the serve-and-deliver side affecting profits and staffing levels. A new computer system is proposed to better coordinate the two divisions to smooth out fluctuations in demand and staffing needs.
