machines since the first computer considered is the
Zuse Z1 of 1938. This generation includes the first
electro-mechanical machines whose main

replaced by the vacuum tubes.

● The second generation of computers from 1958 to
1963 replaced vacuum valves with transistors.
Therefore, the second generation computers are
smaller and consume less electricity than the
previous ones. The communication with these new
computers is through more advanced languages than
the machine language, which are called "high level
languages".

● The invention of the integrated circuit or chip was
produced by Jack S. Kilby and Robert Noyce. Then
