Emancipation Of A Minor Essay
Abstract
Minors are not legally capable to make medical decisions on their own. Rather, they are viewed as
immature and incompetent because they are not eighteen or above. In order to have consent or to
refuse medical treatment, the minor must have his or her parental figure. Over the years, the courts
have ruled some minors, being under the age of eighteen, to have shown signs of maturity. By
showing signs of maturity, the court allows the minor their voice in determining medical treatment.
Without the emancipation in medical decisions, the minor s choices are not respected and looked
upon, violating the constitutional rights to the minor. Minor medical rights are not unheard of, but
rather not encouraged. Parental figures are seen to be the ones to know their child the best, therefore
are the ones to act best in what suites the minor needs best. Covering stories of victims, rights of the
minor, parent, and court in medical issues, this essay describes all issues needing to be spoke about.
Medical Rights to our Own Bodies
Minor medical emancipation allows the minor, being under the age of 18, to make their own medical
decisions with treatment. The emancipation of a minor is where the individual has no more restrictions
to their opinions among a wide variety of topics. Minors are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This type of cancer starts in one s white blood cells, called lymphocytes. Two different types of
lymphomas are Hodgkin disease and Non Hodgkin. The lymph system is a main part of the immune

diseases. Lymphoid tissue, a part of the lymphocytes, is in many different parts of a human body.
Hodgkin disease can usually start in any part of the body, but mostly in the lymph nodes. In rare and
extreme cases, this disease can invade the body s bloodstream and affect other body parts, such as the

The Tragedy Of Ferguson, Missouri
Tragedy in Ferguson, Missouri

Research Paper
November 25, 2014
On August 9, 2014, a young, unarmed, 18 year old, black man named Michael Brown was shot to
death six times by 28 year old, white police officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri, a town just
outside of St. Louis, Missouri. Some say Officer Wilson was protecting his life, I call it police
brutality. The brutality has led to an uproar of all day protesting and looting, and cops and even the
National Guard are working double time to keep everything under control. There are many things that
led up to the shooting. At 11:54 am on August 9, 2014, Michael Brown and his friend Dorian Johnson
were recorded on a convenience store security camera leaving the store with a $48.00 box of Swisher
Sweet Cigars. At that time, a dispatch went out over police radio reporting the crime, a strong armed
robbery (Freivogal). According to Grandstrandlaw.com, a strong armed robbery ... occurs when there
is no deadly weapon used during the robbery (Frederick). With this in mind, we cannot assume that
Michael Brown had a gun. We can also not say that he may have had a gun, but just decided to not
show it to the convenience store clerk in order to intimidate him or her during the robbery. When
Brown and Johnson left the store, they had a ten minute walk to get back to where they lived. When
they were walking home, they were walking in the middle of the street when Officer Darren Wilson

The Existence Of Gender Discrimination
The existence of gender discrimination in workplaces is not under dispute (Acker, 2006). In virtually
all societies across the world, women are known to be in a lower position in labour market than men.
Women are overrepresented in positions at the bottom echelons of organisations; they have less status,
prestige, power and authority on the job. Besides, women are segregated into roles and jobs that offer
poorer rewards and have fewer opportunities for progression to positions of power (Walby, 1988).
Women receive less pay and rewards than men, even if they work in similar jobs with similar levels of
responsibility and requiring a similar level of ability (Cockburn, 1992). Although it has been argued
that the poorer labour market position ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Neo classical economists explain discrimination in labour market in two ways: through the notions of
the taste for discrimination and through statistical discrimination (Sawyer, 1989They argue that
employers exhibit prejudices against certain groups based on their personal belief system. In the case
of women, it is suggested that employers discriminate based on the belief that women are not as
capable as men in certain roles. An excellent example of this is provided in a litigation case that was
brought against the financial services and auditing company Pricewaterhouse Coopers (Case, 2014).
Ann Hopkins took her employer to court when she was passed over for promotion in favour of a male
colleague in spite of the fact that objective records showed that her performance on the job was far
superior to that man s. The court found that Pricewaterhouse Coopers had discriminated against
Hopkins simply because she was a woman, and they did not believe that she would be capable in the
new role.
Neo classical economists, however, state that this form of discrimination is logical for employers
(Sawyer, 1989). This is due to the presence of uncertainty and asymmetric information, as well as the
fact that employers are rational in their decision making. Although information is available in CVs,
application forms, and other selection mechanisms, employers are still unable to be certain that any
new employees will fully meet the criteria for

Analysis of the Triumph of Divine Love
The art piece that I selected for my analysis is called The Triumph of Divine Love by Peter Paul
Rubens. The artwork is an oil painting on canvas, circa 1625. This piece of art was commission by
Isabella Clara Eugenia, Infanta of Spain and Portugal. The Triumph of Divine Love was one of eleven
art pieces in a series portraying the Eucharist cycle, an important issue in the Catholic Protestant strife.
Its purpose was to aid in the Catholic Reformation and the artwork was to be displayed at the
Convento de las Descalzas Reales in Madrid. (Ringling Museum n.d.)
The scene it portrays shows a woman holding an infant while she stands on a chariot drawn by two
lions. Surrounding her in the air and around her feet are sixteen angels or ... Show more content on

There are also several doves at the bottom of the painting, presumably indicating purity and perhaps
symbols of love as well. (Wall Text 2012) The focal point of the painting is the woman with infant.
This is shown by the lighting in the painting being directly on her, the bright red that she is wearing,
and the circling of the putti around her figure along with the majority of their gazes being directed at
her. The bright light directly behind her and the infant could possibly be coming from the sun behind
the clouds in the sky, the putti to her upper right holding the torch, or it could be symbolic in that it is
the infant s halo and representative of his divine nature. The overall piece is not overly dark but the
lighting seems to be most focused on the woman, infant, her other children, and the flying putti. This
is an example of tenebrism. The flying putti are shown in a ring around the woman, some holding
hands. Some have feathered wings; others have either insect or fairy like wings. They all seem to have
individual faces and expressions and all express happiness. The putti are contorted in different
positions as they fly in the air, and Rubens uses foreshortening with the limbs to achieve this and show
movement and action in the piece, especially with the two putti directly above the woman s head and
the back of their feet showing to the viewer. He also uses chiaroscuro to give the putti volume shown
by the lighting

Disadvantages Of Attachment Theory
During times of distress, many of us choose to turn to a friend willing to lend an ear. This airing of
grievances can feel therapeutic, allowing us to get out all of our heavy emotions and thoughts. It also
creates room for a new perspective of a friend who can offer advice, support, or the affirmations we
crave. However, when we are unable to move past the distressing circumstances, this communication
can quickly progress into co rumination. This occurs when friends become fixated on a problem and
the accompanying negative thoughts and emotions making them incapable of coming to an acceptable
conclusion of the topic. This maladaptive behavior results in two distinct outcomes: bonding and
increased closeness between friends, and increased difficulties ... Show more content on

According to attachment theory, early experiences with caregivers shape how individuals relate
interpersonally and how they cope using emotion regulation strategies. These styles are activated in
adulthood during times of threat (Burnette, Green, Worthington, Bradfield, 2009). An insecure
attachment style results from having high levels of either attachment anxiety or attachment avoidance,
and is related to psychopathologies and difficulties in interpersonal relationships (Levi Belz, Gvion,
Horesh, Apter, 2013; Stroebe, Schut, Stroebe, 2006). Both co rumination and attachment style are
prevalent during distressing times of our lives and likely interact in the process. Given insecure
attachments style s maladaptive associations with emotional coping and well being it may be that co
rumination will have a worse outcomes for those who are unable to hold secure attachments in
relationship. I propose that an insecure attachment style moderates the outcomes of co rumination. An
insecure attachment style will magnify the increased internalizing symptoms and hindering
advancement relationship quality that is said to culminate from co rumination (see Figure 1). This
paper will first review the construct of co rumination, its components and its relation to the outcomes
of internalizing symptoms and relationship quality. Next, I will cover insecure anxious attachment,
insecure avoidant attachment, and how these relate to the variables of

5 Simple Ways to Create Effective Copy For Your Website
A high quality website is an essential element of your business s digital marketing strategy, and the
copy used across your site and any associated social media pages will be key to your success.
Ineffective copy could cause potential customers to quickly click away, losing you business and
preventing your brand s message from being delivered. Make sure you give your customers a good
reason to stick around with these 5 simple tips.
1. Know your audience. Understanding who your audience is and how they speak is crucial to creating
the right tone for your web copy. For example, if your brand targets a younger demographic then a
more casual tone with current slang will work well, whereas an older audience may expect a more
formal tone that reflects their voice. Thorough market research will ensure that you know who your
audience is and what they want from your brand.
2. Make sure it s readable. Large blocks of texts, small fonts, and uncomfortable colour schemes will
all make your web copy less accessible for your reader. Bullet pointed lists, shorter paragraphs, clear
headings and a well designed page will keep your copy clean and readable at all times.
3. Opt for creative headlines. The headline is the bait you use to draw your audience in, so make sure
the copy is bold,

Buffalo Wild Wings Mission Analysis
Buffalo Wild Wings Mission Analysis
Gavin Thomas
Introduction
In 1982, Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery opened up their first restaurant and called it Buffalo Wild
Wings Weck near the campus of The Ohio State University. The two entrepreneurs grew the restaurant
to thirty five restaurants over the next twelve years. Unfortunately, the cost of the growth was
potentially bankruptcy inducing debt. In 1994, Sally Smith became Chief Financial Officer and two
years later became Chief Executive Officer. Under Smith s leadership, Buffalo Wild Wings escaped
the throngs of debt and prospered for almost a decade before going public in 2003. In an effort to
target a larger audience and build their brand, Buffalo Wild Wings revamped its restaurant in 2012.
This meant removing Grill Bar from its name in addition to a refreshed logo and redesigned restaurant
(Buffalowildwings.com). Today, Buffalo Wild Wings is the premier sports bar in America for sports
fans, but also a great option for families eating out. This paper will analyze current remote and
external environments that shape the business strategies that have led, and should lead to another
decade of excellence.

Robert Zieger s For Jobs And Freedom
Robert Zieger s For Jobs and Freedom Race and Labor In America Since 1865 is laid out as a
scholarly historical look at how race has effected freedom and the labor market for blacks in America
since the late 19th century. While Zieger presents the material in a scholarly manner and is careful to
look at issues from more than one paradigm; I feel that his voice is often lost in this careful
presentation of both sides of the coin. Aside from obviously being pro union Robert Zieger only takes
a personal stand a once in his book For Jobs and Freedom; the onetime Zieger s voice is heard he
speaks in opposition to the Accomodationists ideals of Booker T and Villard who urged young blacks
to accept their station and apply themselves diligently to become the best farmer, domestic servant, or
ditch digger that they could possibly be. Another critic of the book raised in class by Professor Bloom
was that Zieger only focuses on one form of racism, white supremacy. In my paper I will briefly
discuss some of the social and economic changes that forced the rearticulation of the relationship
between black workers and white capital near the turn of the century. I will also highlight Zieger s
argument that organized labor near the turn of the century failed black workers with their actions
while maintaining a rhetoric of egalitarian principles towards black workers. Zieger s practical agenda
is to shine a light on racism and help facilitate its end by educating through a lens of

Compare and Contrast Essay of Two Neighborhood

Two Neighborhoods
The convenience of living in an urban or suburban neighborhood can be appealing to many people.
Choosing between areas can sometimes be overwhelming for some individual. People are not only
concerned about the safety of a community, but they are also concerned about the environment.
Although some neighborhoods might look attractive, people should consider the expense that comes
with it, and how commuting will affect them in the long run. Nevertheless, both neighborhoods have
their specific advantages and disadvantages. When choosing between an urban or suburban
neighborhood, it is important for people to research the community, the expense, and convenience ...

Another key point is commuting. People who live in the urban community have better access to public
transportation. Citizens can easily get around by walking, taking a bus, and riding the train at a lower
cost. In contrast, owning a home in suburb can be costly for many people. Not only do people have to
keep up with their mortgages, but they sometimes have to pay a yard maintenance fee and their Home
Owners Association (HOA) dues for the up keeping of the neighborhood which can be very costly.
Besides the home cost, people who live in suburban neighborhoods do have the convenience of
traveling in the comfort of their own vehicle, and they do not deal with the concerns of public
transportation. However, they still have to deal with the cost for long commuting and the wear and
tear of the vehicle.
Living in the inner city and suburban neighborhood can be challenging and beneficial for some
individuals, especially for career opportunity. Many people who live in the urban communities have a
better advantage in finding a job of their choice. Most corporations are located in the inner city which
makes it easier for people to find a job. Despite the job opportunities in the inner city, many of these
corporations do not provide parking for their employee which makes it difficult for many individuals.
On the other hand, employment in the suburb is very limited and many of the professional jobs are

The Museum Of Natural History
Museums are information organizations, that is, they are about giving the most up to date information

them, however, it is the equivalences that I want to focus on as they are what bind them. The three
areas of focus are community, academic outreach, and the stories they share. Creating a strong and
vibrant community is important to museums. Dr. Ronquillo, a leader a Philippine Archeology
museum, so elegantly wrote, A properly planned community museum can express and elucidate the
community s cultural wealth through the appropriate presentation and exhibition of their important

The Valley of Ashes as Metaphor in The Great Gatsby Essay
The Valley of Ashes as Metaphor in The Great Gatsby
Throughout F. Scott Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby, location is a critical motif. The contrasts between
East and West, East Egg and West Egg, and the two Eggs and New York serve important thematic
roles and provide the backdrops for the main conflict. Yet, there needs to be a middle ground between
each of these sites, a buffer zone, as it were; there is the great distance that separates East from West;
there is the bay that separates East Egg from West Egg; and, there is the Valley of Ashes that separates
Long Island from New York. The last of these is probably the most striking. Yet, the traditional literal
interpretation does not serve Fitzgerald s theme as well as a more ... Show more content on

If it is remembered that ashes circa the turn of the century often referred to garbage, then it is possible
to interpret the valley of ashes as a dumping ground. (23) The ash heaps, then, are piles of garbage,
and the repeated references to waste land, as opposed to wasteland, now make more sense, as does
George Wilson s use of a piece of waste to wipe his hands. (24 5) For Fitzgerald, the American dream
is to get rich and become socially acceptable; Wilson, who has failed, has wasted his life, and is now
down in the dumps. He has been cast away by society, just like the rest of the refuse that surrounds
him. This, then, seems to be the fate of middle class dreams despite being conceived in a land filled
with opportunity, they all end up in the landfill.
Yet, there are still inconsistencies with this interpretation, which also apply to the stricter literal view;
where does the gray, scrawny Italian child down the road by the railroad tracks come from? (26)
Where do the workmen come from? (137) If the valley is so isolated and desolate how could Nick
even imagine there would be an old man regaling little boys with the story of Myrtle s death? (156)
How does such a crowd accumulate next to a dumping ground? (156 7) Why would Dr. T. J.

Liberation Ideology Essay
Liberty and Equality for All
Oppression and discrimination has existed and continues to exist in the past, present, and future
history of the United States. The mistreatment of particular groups infringe on the idea that all
individuals are free and equal. Liberation ideology strives to eliminate external and internal
oppression of particular groups in both a formal and informal method in our legal system and society.
This ideology believes in the freedom and equality of the individual. Similar to welfare liberalism,
strong government interaction is necessary to eliminate oppression in the legal system. In our current
bipartisan ideological government system, liberation ideology continues to face oppression and
discrimination. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, liberation ideology can fully thrive in a liberal democracy that promotes individual
freedom and equal opportunity giving equal rights to all individuals without infringing on the rights of
others. Welfare liberals utilize strong government interaction to bring about change in society, in
which liberation theology strives to eliminate formal discrimination by creating or ratifying legal
policies. Welfare liberals work well with liberation ideology because they believe in the necessity for
strong government intervention to aid individuals who do not have equal opportunity to reach their
full individual freedom. The liberation ideology utilizes the government to make political moves to
overcome the oppression and discrimination. For example, black liberation movements, women

Trail of Tears and Indian Removal Act The Trail of Tears was the name that the Native Americans
gave the journey where they were forced out of their homes. During the early 19th century, the United
States expanded territory southward. The southern states were home to many Native Americans. This
started controversy with the white settlers. From this controversy sprouted the Indian Removal Act,
which forced the Native Americans leave their homes and go on a long journey. The Cherokee people
called this journey the Trail of Tears, because of its devastating effects , (PBS).
The Trail of Tears was a significant removal of native Americans, however it was not the only one. As
early as 1492 Indians were being forced out of their homes. When European settlers arrived they often
forced Indian village away, seeking treasure. This started with Christopher Columbus. The Trail of
Tears was a very suggestive event because of the amount of indians that were forced out of the
southern states. Due to the Indian Removal Act, 70,000 Native Americans were forced into Oklahoma.
According to PBS, The migrants faced hunger, disease, and exhaustion on the forced ... Show more

The president that was in office during the Indian Removal Act was President Andrew Jackson. Before
serving in the White House, Jackson was an army general. After demanding both political and military
action on removing Native American Indians from the southern states of America in 1829, President
Andrew Jackson signed this into law on May 28, 1830 , (HistoryNet). Americans thought that the
Native Americans were uncivilized. The United States began expanding their land into further into the
south. The land was expanded into Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, and
North Carolina. The problem was that the land was home to five different Native American

Choosing Your It Career Path
CHOOSING AND NAVIGATING YOUR IT CAREER PATH
Newton s First Law of Motion states that an object at rest tends to stay at rest, and an object in motion
tends to stay in motion until acted upon by an external force. This is true of careers as well, including
yours. Where do you want your IT career to be in one year? Do you want to have earned several IT
certifications in that time, therefore advancing your IT career? Or do you want to be in the exact same
place you are today? The only person who can make this decision is you. Moreover, I can speak from
experience that when you begin putting your career into motion the possibilities are unlimited.
However, you have to get started today.

their status as knowledgeable professionals and compensating them well financially. If you are a
computer specialist, or would like to become one, a career in the IT profession can be obtained in less
than a year of study with the current spring of various IT certifications.
Certification is recognition given to individuals who have met predetermined qualifications set by an
agency of government, industry, or profession. Certification provides verification of individual s
knowledge and experience through evaluation and approval based on a set of standards for specific
profession or occupation s functional job levels. Each certification is designed to stand on its own, and
represents a certified individual s mastery of a particular set of knowledge and skills −US DoD.
Many people these days are crazy about getting IT certifications attached to their foundation degrees
or other basic knowledge because certification credentials will definitely enhance their knowledge.
More so, the IT industry now requires those certifications as a proof of sound understanding of IT
principles. There are over 400 certifications out there for you, among which are: A+ 2003, CCDA,

Proper Nutrition In Canada
Everything we do on a daily basis, including studying and working, are all done for one goal at the
end of the day; survival. For surviving we need air, water and food, luckily air has not been
commodified yet, so the two most basic human rights than reveal themselves to be the right to clean
drinking water and proper nutrition. However, even in a developed country like Canada, the right to
food is not always guaranteed, many people go to sleep with proper nutrition every day. I believe that
this type of carelessness for any person, and especially in a developed country is unacceptable. This is
the reason I chose to work with the North York Harvest Food Bank, so more people could be
guaranteed the right to food.

Anabolic Steroids Should Be Banned
Steroids, more specifically anabolic steroids, are drugs that can be legally prescribed or taken illegally,
to boost strength and increase athletic performance. They are based off of the hormone testosterone.
On the street where the drug is sold illegally, the common slang names are arnolds , gym candy ,
pumpers , roids , stackers , weight trainers , and juice .
Steroids have a long, long history, especially in regards to sporting events. Anabolic steroids were not
really used worldwide until the 20th century. However, the use of pure testosterone can be traced back
to the original Olympic Games in Ancient Greece. Raw animal testicles were eaten by the early
Olympians. It sounds disgusting, but it did the job. With this in mind, it ... Show more content on

This made it safe for human use. The discovery was so profound that both Butenandt and Ruzicka
were awarded the 1939 Nobel Prize for their achievements in chemistry. By the 1940 s, anabolic
steroid use in the Soviet Union was becoming common. Dr. John Ziegler, a US Olympic team
physician found a way to develop methandrostenolone; commonly known as Dianabol. United States
Olympic lifters would soon find testosterone and Dianabol dosing to be a part of their regular athletic
routine. The impact the drugs were having on athletes were nothing short of impressive. Several
studies were published suggesting anabolic steroid use had no positive effect on sports performance.
At the time, this was done to discourage the use, but a lot of athletes didn t know or care.
By 1967, anabolic steroid use was pretty common among Olympic athletes, particularly weight lifters.
Even though many physicians stated there was no benefit to anabolic steroid use and athletic
performance, the International Olympic Council banned the use of anabolic steroids. Shortly
afterwards, the majority of major sports governing bodies would follow suit. By 1972, the IOC would
begin implementing a full scale drug testing program for all athletes.
The testing was very simple. Testosterone levels were measured, which can easily be done via a blood
test or urine sample. If testosterone levels were found to be six times

The controversial artist Kanye West has always attempted to make known what he thinks, no matter if
he has to be disrespectful or graphic in his illustrations of said topic. So it wasn t a real surprise when
he chose to focus his energy into reveling to the American public horrors happening that had a direct
connection with the beloved diamond stone. West s 2005 music video Diamonds from Sierra Leone
shows the corrupted underground diamond trade in the African country, Sierra Leone. From this
groundbreaking video, West showed the devastated lives those who worked on the mining rivers live.

The narrator end with the line We are the children of the blood diamonds with a close up of a child

animators give to characters when they see something bright and shinny, like a diamond. Since all the
children do all day is mine diamonds the pupils of their eyes have permanently become adjusted to
that size. The narrator repeats blood diamonds over and over again while a jeweler examines
diamonds, however even though the diamonds are blood or conflict diamonds, they do not look any
different than any other diamond mined from another country. It is after all of this that the hook of the
song begins, a Shirley Bassey sings that lines Diamonds are forever. They won t leave in the night, I

seems like diamonds are their only friends because they have lost everything else to the rebels; their
families, their childhood and innocence, and their freedom. In another part of the video a man is

The Aging Population Analysis
The older population is categorized into three distinct classes: young old, old old, and oldest old. As
presented by Hooyman and Kiyak (2011) on page 18, in figure 1.5, the young old is from the ages of
65 74, the old old is from the ages of 75 84, and the oldest old are from the ages of 85 and older. The
figure on page 18, shows us how much more the older population will grow between 2008 and 2050,
each group is significantly growing, but the oldest old seems to be growing the fastest among the three
groups. According to Hooyman and Kiyak (2011) this is due primarily to the development in
medicine, public hygiene, and health care. While further investigating the growth of the older
population we will examine changing life expectancies between ... Show more content on

is rising more by each generation. This advancement is greatly affecting the field of gerontology
(Hooyman and Kiyak, 2011). A vastly growing practice area that is much needed because by the
middle of the 21st century, more than 40% of Americans age 65 and older can expect to live to at least
90 (Gonyeathe, 2013). This is a major advancement since 1900, when the average life expectancy in
the U.S. was around 47 years old, and from 47 to today s 78.1 years (Hooyman and Kiyak, 2011).
When Hooyman and Kiyak (2011) examined the life expectancies from 1990 and 2005, they noticed a
decline in the older population mostly because of low birthrates experienced during the 1920s and
1930s; however, they expect a rise in this age population because most of the baby boomers will be
turning 60 in the years following. During U.S. events like the 1930s Great Depression, and the late
1940s and early 1960s baby boomers years, these historical events has shifted the demographics of the
older population. The advancement of old age is a huge milestone today, and as this extremely diverse
population continues to grow associated risk factors are assumed to follow such as economic hardship,
and disabling illnesses or health conditions for the older

Abstract
As long as this world have businesses and buying and selling within company to company accounting
and Accounting Information Systems (AIS) will play a big role in financial management and decision
making. The degree of value and how usable an AIS is depending on if the system is custom,
outsourced or boxed. In this paper I will talk about just that. You will find out if the company should
keep, change, modify or outsource and what will be the advantages and disadvantages of doing so.

this. Identify three (3) advantages ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anything not covered in the contract will be the basis for you to pay additional charges. Additionally,
you will experience legal fees to retain a lawyer to review the contacts you will sign. Remember, this
is the outsourcing company s business. They have done this before and they are the ones that write the
contract. Therefore, you will be at a disadvantage when negotiations start (Bucki, 2012).
Threat to Security and Confidentiality
The life blood of any business is the information that keeps it running. If you have payroll, medical
records or any other confidential information that will be transmitted to the outsourcing company,
there is a risk that the confidentiality may be compromised. If the outsourced function involves
sharing proprietary company data or knowledge (e.g. product drawings, formulas, etc.), this must be
taken into account. Evaluate the outsourcing company carefully to make sure your data is protected
and the contract has a penalty clause if an incident occurs (Bucki, 2012).
Quality Problems
The outsourcing company will be motivated by profit. Since the contract will fix the price, the only
way for them to increase profit will be to decrease expenses. As long as they meet the conditions of
the contract, you will pay. In addition, you will lose the ability to rapidly respond to changes in the
business environment. The contract will be

Pet Adoption AD s
There are numerous reasons why one should make wise decision before adopting a dog. The first you
get to save a life by choosing to adopt. In the United Sates, more than two million dogs are available

helps pay for the shelter to save more dogs and to find homes for other dogs. There is also a
misconception that s animals in the shelter have something wrong with them. There is numerous
reason as to why someone would surrender a dog to the shelter, other than health problems. They also
make sure the dogs are healthy before they leave the shelter. Also, it is usually cheaper to purchase a
dog from an animal rescue center than a pet store.
Another reason people adopt dogs for a pet is that he can help improve the mood of their owners. By
adopting a dog, you can help improve yours and the dog s life. But you also must be careful about
where you look for a dog. You can look in the paper about adoption places. But the main way people

Compare And Contrast Islam And Christianity
The religions of Islam and Christianity have been widespread influencers throughout history. Both
religions share common teachings, as well as having contrasts. Their similarities include worshipping
only one god, revering the same early prophets such as Jesus, following a set of commandments,
believing in a day of judgement, and having a concept of heaven and hell. Their differences include
having different founders, the concept of sin, and the resurrection of Jesus. Islam has also given many
contributions to Western Civilization, such as science, math, medicine, and philosophy. One of Islam
and Christianity s similarities is worshipping only one god. Both faiths are monotheistic However,
their beliefs in the way in which god is expressed is different. In Christianity, god is represented
through the trinity. According to the BBC, The Bible taught that Christians were to worship Father and
Son and Holy Spirit. It also taught that Christians should only worship God. Finally, it taught that
there was only one God. In Islam, there is no concept of a trinity, and they believe in the oneness of
god, The most fundamental teaching of Islam is to believe in the Oneness of God, in the sense of His
being the only Creator, Preserver, Nourisher, etc (Why Islam 1). In both Christianity and Islam, they
revere the same early prophets. Some of these prophets include Abraham, Moses, and John the
Baptist. Both religions consider Jesus as a prophet as well, but Jesus role in the

Examples Of Anger Between Social Oppression And Censorship
Anger between Social Oppression and Censorship
According to Sandra P. Thomas anger is a strong feeling of distress or displeasure in response to
specific provocation of some kind (Thomas 13). As one of the most common feelings in human life,
anger has been analyzed and presented in literature throughout time. Social Oppression is one of the
main reasons for anger. Robert L. Barker in his book the social work dictionary defines oppression as:
the social act of placing severe restrictions on an individual, group or institution. Typically, a
government or political organization that is in power places these restrictions formally or covertly on
oppressed groups so that they may be exploited and less able to compete with other social groups. The
oppressed individual or group is devalued, exploited and deprived of privileges by the individual or
group which has more power (qtd. in Harper Dorton 14).
Fahrenheit 451 emphasis the post war period, the Red Scare, and the social oppression in the
American society in the 1950s. The 1950 in America marks two major events. The first is McCarthy
era and the rise of the government s censorship and control over books. ... Show more content on

  • 2. Emancipation Of A Minor Essay Abstract Minors are not legally capable to make medical decisions on their own. Rather, they are viewed as immature and incompetent because they are not eighteen or above. In order to have consent or to refuse medical treatment, the minor must have his or her parental figure. Over the years, the courts have ruled some minors, being under the age of eighteen, to have shown signs of maturity. By showing signs of maturity, the court allows the minor their voice in determining medical treatment. Without the emancipation in medical decisions, the minor s choices are not respected and looked upon, violating the constitutional rights to the minor. Minor medical rights are not unheard of, but rather not encouraged. Parental figures are seen to be the ones to know their child the best, therefore are the ones to act best in what suites the minor needs best. Covering stories of victims, rights of the minor, parent, and court in medical issues, this essay describes all issues needing to be spoke about. Medical Rights to our Own Bodies Minor medical emancipation allows the minor, being under the age of 18, to make their own medical decisions with treatment. The emancipation of a minor is where the individual has no more restrictions to their opinions among a wide variety of topics. Minors are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. The Tragedy Of Ferguson, Missouri Tragedy in Ferguson, Missouri Catherine Meeks CJSA1348 Research Paper November 25, 2014 On August 9, 2014, a young, unarmed, 18 year old, black man named Michael Brown was shot to death six times by 28 year old, white police officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri, a town just outside of St. Louis, Missouri. Some say Officer Wilson was protecting his life, I call it police brutality. The brutality has led to an uproar of all day protesting and looting, and cops and even the National Guard are working double time to keep everything under control. There are many things that led up to the shooting. At 11:54 am on August 9, 2014, Michael Brown and his friend Dorian Johnson were recorded on a convenience store security camera leaving the store with a $48.00 box of Swisher Sweet Cigars. At that time, a dispatch went out over police radio reporting the crime, a strong armed robbery (Freivogal). According to Grandstrandlaw.com, a strong armed robbery ... occurs when there is no deadly weapon used during the robbery (Frederick). With this in mind, we cannot assume that Michael Brown had a gun. We can also not say that he may have had a gun, but just decided to not show it to the convenience store clerk in order to intimidate him or her during the robbery. When Brown and Johnson left the store, they had a ten minute walk to get back to where they lived. When they were walking home, they were walking in the middle of the street when Officer Darren Wilson ordered ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. The Existence Of Gender Discrimination The existence of gender discrimination in workplaces is not under dispute (Acker, 2006). In virtually all societies across the world, women are known to be in a lower position in labour market than men. Women are overrepresented in positions at the bottom echelons of organisations; they have less status, prestige, power and authority on the job. Besides, women are segregated into roles and jobs that offer poorer rewards and have fewer opportunities for progression to positions of power (Walby, 1988). Women receive less pay and rewards than men, even if they work in similar jobs with similar levels of responsibility and requiring a similar level of ability (Cockburn, 1992). Although it has been argued that the poorer labour market position ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Neo classical economists explain discrimination in labour market in two ways: through the notions of the taste for discrimination and through statistical discrimination (Sawyer, 1989They argue that employers exhibit prejudices against certain groups based on their personal belief system. In the case of women, it is suggested that employers discriminate based on the belief that women are not as capable as men in certain roles. An excellent example of this is provided in a litigation case that was brought against the financial services and auditing company Pricewaterhouse Coopers (Case, 2014). Ann Hopkins took her employer to court when she was passed over for promotion in favour of a male colleague in spite of the fact that objective records showed that her performance on the job was far superior to that man s. The court found that Pricewaterhouse Coopers had discriminated against Hopkins simply because she was a woman, and they did not believe that she would be capable in the new role. Neo classical economists, however, state that this form of discrimination is logical for employers (Sawyer, 1989). This is due to the presence of uncertainty and asymmetric information, as well as the fact that employers are rational in their decision making. Although information is available in CVs, application forms, and other selection mechanisms, employers are still unable to be certain that any new employees will fully meet the criteria for ... • 6. Analysis of the Triumph of Divine Love The art piece that I selected for my analysis is called The Triumph of Divine Love by Peter Paul Rubens. The artwork is an oil painting on canvas, circa 1625. This piece of art was commission by Isabella Clara Eugenia, Infanta of Spain and Portugal. The Triumph of Divine Love was one of eleven art pieces in a series portraying the Eucharist cycle, an important issue in the Catholic Protestant strife. Its purpose was to aid in the Catholic Reformation and the artwork was to be displayed at the Convento de las Descalzas Reales in Madrid. (Ringling Museum n.d.) The scene it portrays shows a woman holding an infant while she stands on a chariot drawn by two lions. Surrounding her in the air and around her feet are sixteen angels or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are also several doves at the bottom of the painting, presumably indicating purity and perhaps symbols of love as well. (Wall Text 2012) The focal point of the painting is the woman with infant. This is shown by the lighting in the painting being directly on her, the bright red that she is wearing, and the circling of the putti around her figure along with the majority of their gazes being directed at her. The bright light directly behind her and the infant could possibly be coming from the sun behind the clouds in the sky, the putti to her upper right holding the torch, or it could be symbolic in that it is the infant s halo and representative of his divine nature. The overall piece is not overly dark but the lighting seems to be most focused on the woman, infant, her other children, and the flying putti. This is an example of tenebrism. The flying putti are shown in a ring around the woman, some holding hands. Some have feathered wings; others have either insect or fairy like wings. They all seem to have individual faces and expressions and all express happiness. The putti are contorted in different positions as they fly in the air, and Rubens uses foreshortening with the limbs to achieve this and show movement and action in the piece, especially with the two putti directly above the woman s head and the back of their feet showing to the viewer. He also uses chiaroscuro to give the putti volume shown by the lighting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Disadvantages Of Attachment Theory During times of distress, many of us choose to turn to a friend willing to lend an ear. This airing of grievances can feel therapeutic, allowing us to get out all of our heavy emotions and thoughts. It also creates room for a new perspective of a friend who can offer advice, support, or the affirmations we crave. However, when we are unable to move past the distressing circumstances, this communication can quickly progress into co rumination. This occurs when friends become fixated on a problem and the accompanying negative thoughts and emotions making them incapable of coming to an acceptable conclusion of the topic. This maladaptive behavior results in two distinct outcomes: bonding and increased closeness between friends, and increased difficulties ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to attachment theory, early experiences with caregivers shape how individuals relate interpersonally and how they cope using emotion regulation strategies. These styles are activated in adulthood during times of threat (Burnette, Green, Worthington, Bradfield, 2009). An insecure attachment style results from having high levels of either attachment anxiety or attachment avoidance, and is related to psychopathologies and difficulties in interpersonal relationships (Levi Belz, Gvion, Horesh, Apter, 2013; Stroebe, Schut, Stroebe, 2006). Both co rumination and attachment style are prevalent during distressing times of our lives and likely interact in the process. Given insecure attachments style s maladaptive associations with emotional coping and well being it may be that co rumination will have a worse outcomes for those who are unable to hold secure attachments in relationship. I propose that an insecure attachment style moderates the outcomes of co rumination. An insecure attachment style will magnify the increased internalizing symptoms and hindering advancement relationship quality that is said to culminate from co rumination (see Figure 1). This paper will first review the construct of co rumination, its components and its relation to the outcomes of internalizing symptoms and relationship quality. Next, I will cover insecure anxious attachment, insecure avoidant attachment, and how these relate to the variables of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Learn how with Hosting Australia. 5 Simple Ways to Create Effective Copy For Your Website A high quality website is an essential element of your business s digital marketing strategy, and the copy used across your site and any associated social media pages will be key to your success. Ineffective copy could cause potential customers to quickly click away, losing you business and preventing your brand s message from being delivered. Make sure you give your customers a good reason to stick around with these 5 simple tips. 1. Know your audience. Understanding who your audience is and how they speak is crucial to creating the right tone for your web copy. For example, if your brand targets a younger demographic then a more casual tone with current slang will work well, whereas an older audience may expect a more formal tone that reflects their voice. Thorough market research will ensure that you know who your audience is and what they want from your brand. 2. Make sure it s readable. Large blocks of texts, small fonts, and uncomfortable colour schemes will all make your web copy less accessible for your reader. Bullet pointed lists, shorter paragraphs, clear headings and a well designed page will keep your copy clean and readable at all times. 3. Opt for creative headlines. • 9. Buffalo Wild Wings Mission Analysis Buffalo Wild Wings Mission Analysis Gavin Thomas Introduction In 1982, Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery opened up their first restaurant and called it Buffalo Wild Wings Weck near the campus of The Ohio State University. The two entrepreneurs grew the restaurant to thirty five restaurants over the next twelve years. Unfortunately, the cost of the growth was potentially bankruptcy inducing debt. In 1994, Sally Smith became Chief Financial Officer and two years later became Chief Executive Officer. Under Smith s leadership, Buffalo Wild Wings escaped the throngs of debt and prospered for almost a decade before going public in 2003. In an effort to target a larger audience and build their brand, Buffalo Wild Wings revamped its restaurant in 2012. This meant removing Grill Bar from its name in addition to a refreshed logo and redesigned restaurant (Buffalowildwings.com). Today, Buffalo Wild Wings is the premier sports bar in America for sports fans, but also a great option for families eating out. This paper will analyze current remote and external environments that shape the business strategies that have led, and should lead to another decade of excellence. Company Mission Analysis Mission Statement Buffalo Wild Wings states their mission as: Our mission is to WOW people everyday. We are guest driven. We will WOW our guests every day by achieving the highest level of satisfaction with an extraordinary focus on friendly service, food, fun, and value. We are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Robert Zieger s For Jobs And Freedom Robert Zieger s For Jobs and Freedom Race and Labor In America Since 1865 is laid out as a scholarly historical look at how race has effected freedom and the labor market for blacks in America since the late 19th century. While Zieger presents the material in a scholarly manner and is careful to look at issues from more than one paradigm; I feel that his voice is often lost in this careful presentation of both sides of the coin. Aside from obviously being pro union Robert Zieger only takes a personal stand a once in his book For Jobs and Freedom; the onetime Zieger s voice is heard he speaks in opposition to the Accomodationists ideals of Booker T and Villard who urged young blacks to accept their station and apply themselves diligently to become the best farmer, domestic servant, or ditch digger that they could possibly be. Another critic of the book raised in class by Professor Bloom was that Zieger only focuses on one form of racism, white supremacy. In my paper I will briefly discuss some of the social and economic changes that forced the rearticulation of the relationship between black workers and white capital near the turn of the century. I will also highlight Zieger s argument that organized labor near the turn of the century failed black workers with their actions while maintaining a rhetoric of egalitarian principles towards black workers. Zieger s practical agenda is to shine a light on racism and help facilitate its end by educating through a lens of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although some neighborhoods might look attractive, people should consider the expense that comes with it, and how commuting will affect them in the long run. Citizens can easily get around by walking, taking a bus, and riding the train at a lower cost. In contrast, owning a home in suburb can be costly for many people. Not only do people have to keep up with their mortgages, but they sometimes have to pay a yard maintenance fee and their Home Owners Association (HOA) dues for the up keeping of the neighborhood which can be very costly. Besides the home cost, people who live in suburban neighborhoods do have the convenience of traveling in the comfort of their own vehicle, and they do not deal with the concerns of public transportation. The contrasts between East and West, East Egg and West Egg, and the two Eggs and New York serve important thematic roles and provide the backdrops for the main conflict. Yet, there needs to be a middle ground between each of these sites, a buffer zone, as it were; there is the great distance that separates East from West; there is the bay that separates East Egg from West Egg; and, there is the Valley of Ashes that separates Long Island from New York. If it is remembered that ashes circa the turn of the century often referred to garbage, then it is possible to interpret the valley of ashes as a dumping ground. (23) The ash heaps, then, are piles of garbage, and the repeated references to waste land, as opposed to wasteland, now make more sense, as does George Wilson s use of a piece of waste to wipe his hands. (24 5) For Fitzgerald, the American dream is to get rich and become socially acceptable; Wilson, who has failed, has wasted his life, and is now down in the dumps. He has been cast away by society, just like the rest of the refuse that surrounds him. This, then, seems to be the fate of middle class dreams despite being conceived in a land filled with opportunity, they all end up in the landfill. Yet, there are still inconsistencies with this interpretation, which also apply to the stricter literal view; where does the gray, scrawny Italian child down the road by the railroad tracks come from? (26) Where do the workmen come from? (137) If the valley is so isolated and desolate how could Nick even imagine there would be an old man regaling little boys with the story of Myrtle s death? Thomas anger is a strong feeling of distress or displeasure in response to specific provocation of some kind (Thomas 13). The oppressed individual or group is devalued, exploited and deprived of privileges by the individual or group which has more power (qtd. in Harper Dorton 14). Fahrenheit 451 emphasis the post war period, the Red Scare, and the social oppression in the American society in the 1950s. The 1950 in America marks two major events.
