Classroom management is a term teachers use to describe the process of ensuring that classroom lessons run smoothly without disruptive behavior from students compromising the delivery of instruction.. different classroom management tips and techniques are used to maintain discipline in class.
Managing student behaviour, especially excited or divisive students, can be a daunting task, but it is definitely rewarding. After all, student behaviour plays a big role in the overall learning experience. When students are disruptive, It is important for the teacher to act quickly and correctly. Without effective behaviour management strategies, the classroom setting wouldn't be the same at all.
Despite efforts to help beginning teachers succeed, many still experience problems, ranging from feelings of isolation to lack of support from experienced teachers and supervisors.
Ways to help beginning teachers succeed include providing professional development geared specifically toward the needs of beginning teachers; peer coaching or mentoring; easing up on the assignment of extra class duties during the first year of service; and engaging beginning teachers in a reflective practice approach.
Remember the beginning of the school year is a critical ingredient of a wellness classroom.
Classroom management is one of the most feared parts of teaching for new teachers.
The slides shows some techniques or methods that would help new teachers to maintain control in the classroom.

Classroom management refers to the wide variety of skills and techniques that teachers use to keep students organized, orderly, focused, attentive, on task, and academically productive during a class.
Self-awareness is the capacity to look inward and understand our own feelings, emotions, stressors, and personality. These key understandings play a critical role in influencing our judgements, decisions, and interactions with other people.
Information technology is a scientific method used to store information, to arrange it for proper use and to communicate it to others.
computer based information system consists of hardware, software, data, people, procedures. information flow from sender to receiver. In telephone information is sent through wires in the form of electrical signals .
In radio, television and cell phone information is sent either through space in the form of electromagnetic waves or through optical fiber in the form of light.
A scaffold is any temporary, elevated work platform and its supporting structure used for holding people, materials, or both.
Simply we can say that it is the gradual release of responsibility.
Scaffolding is breaking up the learning into chunks and providing a tool, or structure, with each chunk.
Reflective teaching means looking at what you do in the classroom, thinking about why you do it, and thinking about if it works . shortly it means self observation.
Reflective teaching is effective teaching.
It is a process of self evaluation and self observation.
It involves recognizing, analyzing, assessing and contemplation over the way an individual teaches.
It is a continuous process of evaluating and updating that what are you doing and how you can improve it.
It is a personal tool to evaluate yourself the way you behave in your class.
It enhance the quality of teaching.
the main area of teaching process is pedagogy. a teacher must know about all the pedagogical skills to make her teaching process more effective and interesting. a teacher should bring innovation in these skills .there are different kinds of pedagogical skills. each one is used on the basis of grade level and mental ability of student.

technology is changing rapidly that hardly any human activity will be possible in the coming year without the use of computer. we must be aware of these technological changes.
Lesson plan:Multiplication and division of binary numberssamina khan
Bi means two. Binary numbers are 0 and 1. we can add, subtract, multiply and divide. This lesson plan is related to multiplication and division of binary numbers. teacher will solve different questions to clear the method of binary multiplication and division.
computer network is a group of interconnected computers that share information and resources. The most common resource shared today is connection to the Internet. Other shared resources can include a printer or a file server. The Internet itself can be considered a computer network. Two basic network types are local-area networks (LANs) and wide-area networks (WANs). LANs connect computers and peripheral devices in a limited physical area, such as a business office, laboratory, or college campus, by means of links (wires, Ethernet cables, fibre optics, Wi-Fi) that transmit data rapidly.
Computer is a very effective tool which can be used in different areas. Some of the application areas of computer are banking, education, industries, entertainments, hospitals, data processing etc. use of computer has made our life easier but also caused unemployment because machines are used to work in different places. we should improve our skills and expertise and move towards skilled work instead of manual labour.
data protection and security means to protect your data from unauthorized user access. we should apply some privacy measures to protect our data from unauthorized access. security measures taken to protect the integrity of the data

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

5. Plato has rightly said
“Do not train students to learning by
force and harshness, but direct them to
it by what amuses their mind, so that
you may be better able to discover with
accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius
of each”
6. PROBLEMS OF CLASSROOM
Teachers play a major role for effective
class conduction.
It is the responsibility of the teacher to
make his /her class interesting so that
students take interest and participate in
the class.
Some of the teachers keep complaining
about the class which they teach.
The problem is normally related to
student’s behaviour and discipline.
7. CONTINUED…
They usually bunk or are irregular to class.
They don’t even bother to be present for
the class. So many students today just
don’t value their education.
If we suspend such students for bunking
class they don’t seem to care at all.
8. CONTINUED…
Sitting at home doesn’t change their
attitude. Maybe a fresh look at the
approach to Classroom management
is required.
But why we as a teacher are losing our
grip with the classes?
9. CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
It refers to the variety of skills and
techniques that teachers use to keep
students organized, orderly, focused,
attentive, on task, and academically
productive during a class.
Proper classroom management leads to
class control and conducive teaching
learning environment
11. TECHNIQUES FOR BETTER
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
Teacher needs to Focus attention on
entire class.
Lessons should be planned to ensure
that the period is filled with learning
activities.
Teacher should have a knack to
memorize student names as quickly
as possible. It enhances class control
and confidence of the teacher.
13. WITH-IT-NESS
With-it-ness refers to a teacher’s
awareness of what is going on in the
classroom behaviors before they get out of
line, keeping learners on tasks.
Teachers who have “with-it-ness” are able
to spot areas where misbehavior may
arise, when students are upset, and are
able correct problem behaviors before they
cause major distress to the classroom.
14. CONTINUED…
These teachers are able to manage their
classrooms at all times and prevent
problems from occurring.
It is one of the important tool for classroom
management.
15. RIPPLE EFFECT
Jacob Kounin created the idea of the
“ripple effect.” The idea is that if one
student sustains positive or negative
consequences, the rest of the class will
see what is taking place and a ripple
effect will occur.
16. CONTINUED…
when one student misbehaves others will
join in as well. On the other hand, a
student receiving a reward will motivate
others.
Managing students’ behavior in positive
ways is the key to success.
Students learn from others around them,
and by believing in the ripple effect, we will
be able to manage behaviors.
17. MODEL CLASSROOM
Teachers should teach and model
classroom behaviors.
By doing so, students are able to visually
see what is expected and what is not
allowed in the classroom.
This is important so that students fully
understand what it looks like to participate
in positive behavior management.
18. CONTINUED…
When students misbehave, it is important
to sit down with the student and counsel.
By having close student-teacher
relationships, we will be able to get to the
cause of the behavior and help the
student come up with alternatives to
prevent the unwanted behavior from
occurring in the future
21. CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT TIPS
1. Use a normal, natural voice
2. Speak only when students are quiet and ready
3. Use hand signals and other nonverbal
communication
4. Address behavior issues quickly—and wisely
5. Always have a well-designed, engaging lesson
22. CONTROL THE TIME YOU SPEND ON
DISCIPLINE BY..
Building positive relationships with your
students
Set enforceable limits through enforceable
statements.
Share control.
Implement disciplinary interventions that stop
undesirable behaviors
Delay consequences.
23. CONCLUSIONS
Classroom management has become
increasingly important in the current
learning environment.
We should implement best practices to
create an environment that minimizes the
potential for disruptive classroom behavior
by defining expectations early, decreasing
anonymity, encouraging active learning, and
seeking feedback from students.
