- An 8-year-old Thai boy presented with right arm pain for 1 hour after falling while playing and landing on his outstretched right arm. - X-rays showed a proximal 1/3 ulnar fracture of the right forearm with associated radial head dislocation. - The diagnosis was a Monteggia fracture of the right forearm. For pediatric patients, treatment is typically closed reduction of the ulna and radial head fractures with long arm casting. Operative treatment is indicated for unstable or open fractures.
