This document describes a proposed automatic irrigation control system using a wireless sensor network with Zigbee technology. The system has two main units - a field unit placed in the agricultural field and a main control unit. The field unit monitors soil moisture and humidity levels using sensors and transmits the data periodically to the main unit. If the sensor readings are below threshold levels for the crop, the main unit will automatically turn on a motor to initiate irrigation. When the readings reach sufficient levels again, the motor will turn off. The system aims to efficiently manage water usage for irrigation in an automated way without needing constant human monitoring or operation.
