What Was The Underlying Cause Of World War 1
The Underlying Cause of World War 1 WW1 was a hard, long and brutal war. There were many things
that caused WW1. The main causes of WW1 were alliances, militarism, and imperialism. Imperialism
policy of extending a country s power and influence through diplomacy or military force. A German
cartoon called Freiheit Der Meere showed the wide grasp of the British Empire. Another document
tells different countries colonial empires in 1913. Britain had the most land (12,740,000 sq. miles) and
population (400,000,000 people) in its colonial might. Germany wanted to build their empire up by
expanding their grasp on the world by finding new german colonies. Militarism is the belief or desire

Examples Of Foreshadowing In The Veldt
The Veldt Excessive attachment to technology can be dangerous to families and cause destruction.
Ray Bradbury, the author of the short story The Veldt , has been described as a mainstream fantasist of
great brilliance by Richard Wollheim. Lydia and George have raised two children, Peter and Wendy, in
an electronic house where they can have everything they ever wanted. Everything is done for them,
replacing the need for real parents. However, there is one exceptional room that the children have
become excessively attached to. This room is known as the nursery, a high tech room that converts
into whatever the human mind can conjure up. The children s unhealthy attachment to this room leads
to their parents demise, as it replaces their actual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A quote from The Veldt is He showed it to her. The smell of hot grass was on it and the smell of a lion.
There were drops of saliva on it, it had been chewed, and there were blood smears on both sides
(Bradbury). Within the story, Bradbury uses foreshadowing shown through George s wallet found on
the nursery ground. This wallet had been chewed and smeared with blood, foreshadowing that soon,
George would face his death. A quote from another source is, Bradbury uses this technique to hint at
the fate of George and Lydia Hadley. While the two are lying in bed, they hear screams coming from
the nursery, and Lydia comments, Those screams they sound familiar. Later, the reader realizes that
the screams sound familiar to Lydia because they are actually her screams and those of her husband
(Ira Mark Milne). Another example of foreshadowing are the screams George and Lydia hear
throughout the story. The screams are a result of Wendy and Peter conjuring up the death of their
parents with their minds in the nursery. This ties to the theme because foreshadowing connects to the
idea that technology takes reign in the lives of children. One last quote is, He bent and picked up a
bloody scarf. This yours? (Bradbury). Once again, George discovers a sign of death within the
nursery. The scarf gives an insight into the children s minds, which are filled with dark thoughts. It
foreshadows death once again, however, this time the personal item belongs to Lydia, foreshadowing

Long Term Management Plan After 45min Consultation
We would like to consider this patient as a whole instead of 2 different illnesses. This patient is
chronically depressed and recently being diagnosed with stage 3a Non Small Cell Lung Cancer. It is
very difficult to formulate long term management plan after 45min consultation because information
available about patient expectations and concerns are limited. In order to arrange patient centered
management , patient participation is very important, because patient had stopped antidepressant and
counselling prematurely, it could have been due to lack of patient involvement during the treatment
choices and poor therapeutic relationship with the physician. Firs all, It is very important to establish a
good rapport with the patient , because this patients doesn t have pleasant experience with the
conventional medical treatment, considering severity of his condition and available treatment
modalities, conventional treatments are the first line options to be considered. Alternative treatments
can be considered as an adjuvant therapies to conventional plan to minimize adverse effects or
improve the quality of life. So, this long term plan is just a hypothetical sketch, which addresses key
challenges, most appropriate therapeutic choices for best outcome of the patient health. The most
difficult challenge in this patient is lack of time; How long you can wait to improve patients

Sources of Mercury and Health Effect
Sources of Mercury and Health Effect
Mercury is a naturally occurring element found in the earth s crust that can be found as the elemental
or metallic mercury or in many organic and inorganic compounds. Mercury is a metal that when at
room temperature is a silvery liquid metal and is often called one of the heavy metals. Mercury can
evaporate like water, and become airborne. It is an element that does not break down into a less toxic
substance. Once mercury escapes into the environment it will continue to circulate in and out of the
atmosphere until it ends up at the bottoms of lakes and oceans. It cannot be created or destroyed
(UWM, 2004). The most common or leading source of mercury in the environment is atmospheric
deposition. Once mercury has reached the atmosphere it can circulate for years which make up for the
extensive distribution in the environment. The natural sources that contribute to atmospheric mercury
are volcanoes, geologic deposits of mercury, weathering of rocks and volatilization from the ocean.
Rocks, sediments, water and soil also naturally contain small amounts of mercury; scientists have
even found some local mineral occurrences and thermal springs that are natural high in mercury
(USGS, 2009). Secondary sources of mercury result from burning fossil fuels and smelting metals.
Mercury is also a by product of gold and zinc mining. Mercury is also found in many rocks one of
them being coal, when coal is burned in power plants the mercury is

Marine Biome
A biome, also known as life zones, consists of all plants, animals, and other organisms, as well the
physical environment in a particular area. A biome is characterized by its plant life, climate, and
location. The climate and physical features determine the boundaries of a biome. A biome is made up
of many different ecosystems. The ecosystems tend to have the same pants and animals as neighboring
biomes around the boundaries. The major biomes are the tundra, taiga, tropical rain forest, temperate
forests, desert, grassland, savanna, chaparral, and marine. Each biome has it s own characteristics such
as the tundra. The tundra is a biome that is located in the Northern Hemisphere of the world. It circles

Some of the animals consist of squirrels, rabbits, coyotes, mule deer, opossums, raccoons, skunks,
foxes, bobcats, rattlesnakes, lizards, frogs, vultures, hawks, golden eagles, peregrine falcons, and
condors. Each of these has made unique adaptations to live in this biome. An additional main biome is
the tropical rainforest. The tropical rain forest is one of the earth s most distinctive biomes. There are 3
types are subtropical, monsoon, and equatorial. The climate has mostly warm, humid temperatures.
The annual rainfall is approximately 20 30 inches. Depending on the time of year the temperatures
vary. Summer temperatures are about 95 100° F and winter temperatures are about 70 80° F. Most
tropical rain forests are located between 10 degree N and 10 degrees S latitude. This makes the
climates for that vegetation found there suitable. If you were to explore the entire rainforests you d
find approximately 1500 species of flowering plants and 750 species of trees. The rain forest contains
over 50% of worlds population in plants and animals. It covers roughly 5 billion acres of land. There
are 3 layers of trees that can be found there. The first and most top layer is the emergent, which are
widely spaced trees 100 120 ft tall with canopies above the general canopy of the forest. The second,
middle layer is a closed canopy of 80 foot trees. Here light is available to this layer, but blocks out the

Cocaine And Its Effects On Society
Cocaine is one of the oldest, most powerful and most dangerous stimulants in the world. This
powerfully addictive drug effects over 35 million people In the United States. Cocaine addiction
prevents a person from being a productive member in our society. It also increases the cost for law
enforcement and treatment facilities. It rapidly decreases the workplace, increases the homeless rate
and needless deaths on a daily basis.
Over three thousand years before the Jesus Christ was born, ancient Incas in the Andes chewed coca

Austrian psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, promoted the drug as a tonic to cure depression and sexual
impotence, as he used himself. Freud prescribed to close friends and loved ones even though the drug

The Spanish And English Colonies
Though North America was first explored by Europeans when Nordic people settled in modern day
Canada circa the 11th century, widespread colonization of the North American continent did not truly
occur until the arrival of Spanish explorers four centuries later. English explorers quickly followed the
Spanish to the New World and, though each group of colonists faced similar issues, the two colonies
handled life in North and Central America quite differently. The Spanish and English colonies were
generally the same in regard to their treatment of Native Americans while significantly different when
examining the role of the European government on their colonies leadership in addition to their
diverse economic foundations. The Spanish and English colonies were extremely similar, nearly
identical even, in that each gave little respect to the religious origins and customary living of the
Native Americans. The Spanish colonists were the first to arrive in the New World in the late 1400s,
and, upon arrival, launched cultural attacks on the Native Americans. Spanish friars began stripping
indigenous people of their native religion and forcing European practices onto the masses. The
Reconquista of Spain from the Moors fabricated a very close relationship between the Roman
Catholic church and Spanish authorities. Because the church now held so much power in Spain,
Catholic leaders were able to send friars along on the government funded expeditions to the New
World. The church

The Montessori Method Essay
The Montessori Method (Word count includes Annotated Bibliography)
The Montessori method began in the early 1900 s by the first female doctor in Italy, Dr. Mary
Montessori, as a way of educating mentally disabled children. Her ideas were so successful with these
children that she began to apply her understanding of learning to study the potential of normally
functioning children (Oalf, 2001). Dr. Montessori s approach to education stresses the importance of
learning styles, independence and responsibility.
According to Maria Montessori, In the special environment prepared?in our schools, the children
themselves found a sentence that expresses their inner need, Help me to help myself. ? (Standing,
1957). The ?prepared ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In reality, the children move about the classroom independently, choosing the order of their learning
activities. There may be 15 or more activities, or ?jobs? as they are called in some Montessori
classrooms, occurring at the same time with small groups or individual work, yet the classroom
remains quiet, yet busy and productive, sometimes with the soft hush of classical music playing in the
background. Many Montessori school classrooms place a card around the child?s neck with the day?s
objectives written in the form of a checklist for the students to monitor themselves. This checklist
encourages the students to take responsibility for their own learning, as well as discourages prompt
dependence, since the student need not wait for instruction. Some of the activities in a Montessori
classroom include reading, pre reading using phonics, math, discovery science and writing. Children
learn skills in a way that he or she is not aware that learning is taking place. For example, a child
playing in the sand box with a small rake is not aware that he or she is learning fine motor skills and
how to hold and control a pencil. Another observation in a Montessori classroom is that most
classrooms tend to span three grade levels. This practice allows to children to become mentors to
younger students. Also, the large gap in developmental levels allows children to ?learn at their own
pace? (Keller, 2001), which is another important Montessori

Sports Psychology
Sport Psychology People often have misapprehensions about how sport psychology is applied and
what it is. The misapprehensions stem from making assumptions based on the limited knowledge of
psychology and in what ways it is used for certain situations that may occur. According to American
Psychological Association which defines sport psychology as the scientific study of the psychological
factors that are associated with participation and performance in sport, exercise, and other types of
physical activity. (apadivisions.org). The more significant certifying body in sports psychology, the
Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), states that they promote the ethical practice,
science, and advocacy of sport and exercise psychology . (apadivisions.org). The purpose of this paper
will be to briefly go over sport psychology: what makes it distinct from other forms of psychology,
importance of and who it is used for, its effect on modern day athletes, and explaining the 4C s. Sport

Pricing Decisions
1. Pricing decisions
Factors to consider when setting prices All profit organizations and many non profit organizations
must set prices on their products or services. Simply defined, price is the amount of money charged
for a product or service. More broadly, price is the sum of the values consumers exchange for the
benefits of having or using the product or service.
A company s pricing decisions are affected both by internal company factors and by external
environmental factors. These factors are shown in Figure 1. Internal factors include the company s
marketing objectives, marketing mix strategy, costs, and organization. External factors include the
nature of the market and demand, competition, and other environmental factors. ... Show more content

We consider ourselves the low cost producers in this industry. Considering that we are a company with
lower costs, we have decided that we can set lower prices that result in greater sales and profits.
We watch our costs carefully. We consider that if it costs our company more than competitors to
produce and sell our product, we will have to charge a higher price or make less profit, and try not to
put it at a competitive disadvan¬tage.
External Factors Affecting Pricing Decisions
The Market and Demand Costs set the lower limits of prices, while the market and demand set the
upper limit. Both consumer and industrial buyers balance the price of a product or service against the
benefits of owning it. Before setting the final price for our product we had to understand the
relationship between the price and the demand for our product. At the beginning we shall see the
people s reaction toward the Lazzzzerlight Product Machine.
Other External Factors
When setting the final price, we must also consider other factors in our external environment. For
example, economic conditions can have a strong impact on the results of our company s pricing
strategies. Economic factors such as inflation, boom or recession, and interest rates affect pricing
decisions because they affect both the costs of producing a product and consumer perceptions of the
product s price and value.

Theories Regarding Behaviors And Cognitive Biases And The...
In recent years politicians and foundations have focused attention on the large numbers of students
who begin college but never finish. More than 40 percent of full time starting students fail to complete
within six years, and more than 70 percent of community college students fail to complete within three
years (NCES 2012). Whether or not these rates are a sign of a problem, it remains true that the nation
would gain the benefit of more college graduates if policies could be identified that would
substantially increase graduation rates, assuming the increase does not come with a reduction in
standards or a problematic shift in majors. The goal of this paper is to apply theories regarding
behaviors and cognitive biases to the task of improving college outcomes. We start by making some
simplifying assumptions about the motivations of college students in order to pinpoint relevant
barriers to student progress. This allows us to tap the research literature for strategies to consider
applying, including altering incentives. In the second section, we discuss behaviors to which these
strategies can be applied, and we describe some approaches that could be considered. The point of
college is to create independent and self motivated learners. The reader should be warned that the lists
of possible experiments, when reviewed en masse, can create a disturbing specter of students being
micromanaged through every aspect of a college education. In considering creative use of incentives,

Theme Of Hally In Athol Fugard s Master Harold
It s not fair, is it ... What, chum ... a nigger s arse ... and then we both have a good laugh (55). Hally, a
young, white teenager in Apartheid Era South Africa tells this joke to Sam, his black friend and father
figure, almost irreparably ruining their relationship in Athol Fugard s 1982 play, Master Harold ... and
the boys. Sam and Willie, another middle aged black man, work for Hally s mother at her Tea Shop
while pursuing amateur dance on the side. Willie isn t as close to Hally as Sam is, nor is he as wise,
and his broken relationship with his dance partner, Hilda, is analogous to Hally s troubles with his
own father, who is an alcoholic cripple. These characters all have grievous flaws that appear nearly
irredeemable at first. In his play, Athol Fugard conveys that it is never too late to change for the better
using symbolism, metaphor, and dynamic characters. The author uses a park bench to symbolize
racism, but Sam uses it to explain the possibility of Hally s redemption. The bench is where Hally sat
after Sam took him kite flying in the park; Sam does not sit down, instead leaving because he had
work to do (30). It becomes obvious that the bench represents racism when Sam reveals it was a
Whites Only bench, and that s why he couldn t stay with Hally (58). Hally s ignorance towards the
whites only sign serves as a parallel to his naivety about the injustice in the world, as shown on page

The Battle Of Horse Fights Pit Bull Terriers
Aggressive and/or vicious dogs are beginning to be a serious problem in the United States. With the
rise in dog fights Pit Bull Terriers are viewed in a negative light. When the wrong owner gets a Pit
Bull and withholds food and teaches the dog to fight it makes a very dangerous dog. Pit bulls are
known for their bite strength and fearless personalities. Due to all the negative media, abusive and
neglectful pit bull owners; the pit bull terriers are thought of as vicious and unsafe dogs to be around.
Pit bull terriers are discriminated against due to a misconception of the breed itself.
The name pit bull is slang for American Pit Bull Terrier. There are several variations in the pit bull
name. The name pit bull refers to several breeds such as; American Pit Bull Terriers, Bull Terriers,
Boxer, American Bulldog, Bull Mastiff, Boxer, and American Staffordshire Terriers (Bixler 2 ). In the
early nineteenth century bull and terrier breeds were created in England, but were not recognized by
the AKC until the nineteen thirties. The once loved and admired breed is now feared and threatened in
many areas. This once loved and adored breed is looked upon as a vicious killer. The general vision of
pit bulls are a large stalky frame, cropped ears and tail and with a large head.
The American Pit Bull Terriers were once known for taking care of young children. They are fiercely
protective of their human family. The same breed until the 1970 s was known as America s family

Juvenile Delinquency Is An Integral Part Of Criminology
The greatest asset a nation has is in the form of children which form a major portion of its population.
So they should be allowed and provided opportunity to become robust citizens, and to grow up
physically fit, mentally alert and morally healthy, being sufficiently endowed with skills and
activations needed by the society. Equal opportunities for development to all children during the
period of growth should be provided for reducing inequality and ensuring social justice, which in turn
would serve as an effective tool to curb delinquency in juveniles. Children are expected to be
obedient, respectful and imbibe virtues and good quality in them. Due to various reasons children do
not follow settled social and legal dictum. Juvenile delinquency, as a legal concept is of recent origin.
Juvenile delinquency is an integral part of criminology. The two cannot be separated since one of the
reasons for crime and its continuance into adult life is the ineffective control and treatment of
juveniles. Juvenile delinquency is a big breading centre of criminals. The word delinquency is derived
from the Latin word delinquere meaning de i.e. away and linquere i.e. to leave thus, meaning to leave
or to abandon. Originally, the word had an objective meaning as it referred to parents who neglected
and abandoned their children. In present day, it is used and applied to those children who indulge in
wrongful and harmful activities.

The Mind Controls Our Brain
For the last few years, with this significant progress in the field of neuroscience and the researches on
brain s study, there has been a huge modification of some statement that were considered as relevant
in the past such our brain controls our mind but, nowadays it s quite clear that science agrees the
contrary , which is our mind controls our brain and this can be elucidated by the fact that statistics
confirm that 75 98 % of physical, mental and behavior illnesses come from our thought life; 350
million worldwide people suffer from depression;40 million people in the U.S. suffer from anxiety and
disorders and there are more deaths from suicides than from car accidents. The interesting part of such

This essay will demonstrate some of these facts: It will show first that positives thoughts build healthy
proteins in the brain, and secondary that negatives thoughts interfere one s ability to make wise
decision. The impact of healthy thought is obvious. The science has proved that human brain is wired
for beauty and for love (there is no room for the negative). Therefore when people are thinking and
choosing, they are causing genetic expression and that means that at that appropriate time the
production of proteins is happening and all these proteins grouped altogether form thought trees in the
brain. A human being is also a thinking being .Every time one is thinking; he is growing a physical
substance inside of the brain; he is actually changing the structure and function of his brain. So when
one s choosing to think life which is positives thoughts, he is building an extraordinary ability to
determine, achieve, and maintain optimal levels of intelligent, mental health, peace, and happiness, as
well as the prevention of disease in one s body and mind. If someone through conscious mind is able
to gain control of thoughts and feeling, by doing so, he gains the ability to change the programming
and chemistry of his brain. There are even more encouragement pieces about the plasticity of the
brain. For example, Universality believe logic and language are learned at fixed age, and someone
passed that fixed age, he can t learn. Plasticity research proves

Analysis Of The 17th And 17th Centuries By Ben Jonson
Plagiarism in the 17th and 18th Centuries
A line that appears on the cover page of Poetaster: A Comical Satyr, written in 1601 by Ben Jonson
(1572 1637), the English dramatist and poet, had appeared earlier in Martial s Book VII, Verse 12, an
epigram consisting of 99 verses. We know that Jonson used ideas taken from Ovid (Publius Ovidius
Naso, 43 BCE CE 17), Horace, and Seneca and that his name appears in investigations of plagiarism
in English literature. According to one source, Jonson invented the pejorative term playwright in 1687
to describe someone who had put together the work of others. Jonson alluded to the works of Horace
and Virgil and to Rome. Jonson wrote that the name Canidia was but a borrowed name and that the
ditty was borrowed. The words were Horace s, he stated, Hang him plagiary. This use of the term
plagiary appeared in 1601. It referred to someone who forcefully possessed another. It had appeared
earlier, in 1555, as plagiaire (French), and, in 1577, as plagium (Latin), translated as a net to entangle
game, but was used in English Civil Law when referring to kidnapping or man stealing. It appeared
also in July 1607, when Thomas Legge, Master of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, referred to
the fact that someone had kidnapped his ideas for a play, The Destruction of Jerusalem. The use of
Latin or French was common among the educated and upper classes of that time, many of whom
would have been familiar with one or both languages. Alexander Pope

Feminsim And Wicc A Spiritual Correlation
FEMINSIM AND WICCA: A SPIRITUAL CORRELATION
Marisa Leonardi
Religion, Magic and Witchcraft
Professors Palshikar and Mehta
May 13, 2016
Introduction
Today there are a bounty of religions to choose from, from Christianity to Hinduism, and while some
religions have their roots deep into the people s history, there are some religions that are relatively
new . Wicca, in the United States, is a relatively new religion that has gained popularity in the
1960s/1970s when Raymond and Rosemary Buckland brought it overseas from the United Kingdom .
From then on the numbers of the Wicca practice grew, and at the same time as this happened another
important social movement was happening: feminism . Is it coincidence that Christian practitioners
would turn towards a freer, pagan religion to find their ground and empowerment? Or does the social,
feministic movement have a hand in this change?
What is Wicca?
But first, in order to address this spiritual correlation, it must be addressed what exactly Wicca is, and
where it came from. Wicca is the largest denomination of Paganism , which in short is one who does
not believe in a monotheistic faith, like Christianity , and could be traced back to a man named Gerald
Gardner, the so called founder of Wicca. His discontent with Christianity that fueled his creation of
Wicca . The religion took off from there, branching out and picking up momentum in the United
Kingdom, and then was later introduced into the United States by

Kashmir Conflict Between Hindus And Muslims
Kashmir is the northernmost geographical region of South Asia. It borders Pakistan and India in the
Himalayan Mountains. This landscape is known for its raw natural beauty and has stood out in the
history and folklore of the Indian subcontinent. At one point in time, Kashmir was aptly named
paradise on Earth . Kashmir excels at diversity. People from all over the world many different
religious backgrounds and even more diverse dialects frequent the land. Today however, the Kashmir
region is the center a multidimensional problem, with religious hostilities taking center stage. Disputes
over land seem to be a catalyst for almost every hostility and war since the dawn of time. The addition
of politics and religion into the matter only serves to aggravate an already tense situation. Kashmir
knows this all too well. The conflict between Hindus and Muslims seems to be an ever reoccurring
battle. This is also evidenced in population battles. Hindus make up the social majority of the
population of India by almost eighty percent. Feelings of tension and uneasiness are a natural reaction
to being dominated by a majority and are a problem unto itself. In order to proceed, there needs to be a
baseline of understanding in regards to Hinduism and Islam. Hinduism is a religion, or a way of life,
found most notably in India and Nepal. Hinduism has been called the oldest religion in the world, and
some practitioners and scholars refer to it as Sanātana Dharma, the eternal

High Chektogenic Diets
There are several diets which are designed to help obese individuals to reduce weight. Due to the fact
that so many illnesses (e.g. diabetes, high cholesterol) are related to the effects of obesity,
understanding the physiology of weight loss has become ever so important. One of the most popular
and widely researched diets, which are used for the treatment of obesity, is the ketogenic diet. This
diet is not only known for its use in the treatment of obesity, but is also known to play a positive role
in the treatment of several illnesses. Initially, this diet was solely used for treating people with
epilepsy. However, starting from the 1970s, the diet became known for its role in promoting weight
loss and also in the treatment of other illnesses (e.g. cardiovascular disease). In addition, the diet is
also known to help people reduce their dependence on medications for ... Show more content on

In addition, their plasma was checked levels of triglycerides and hormones. The results of the first
study show that in the mice on ketogenic diet lost as much weight as the mice on the calorie restricted
diet, but the group on the high carbohydrate high fat diet (which ate just as many calories as the
ketogenic diet group) showed an average increase of 6 lbs and twice the increase in body fat
composition (as shown via DEXA measurement). The average body fat composition of all animals in
other groups remained at around 3.4 lb per animal. Although both groups lost the same amount of
weight, the metabolic rate (gathered by the CLAMS apparatus) of the ketogenic diet mice was 15%
greater than the mice on the calorie restricted diet. Microarray analysis showed suppression of certain
genes (e.g. FAS) involved in fatty acid synthesis in animals on the ketogenic diet, whereas in the high
carbohydrate high fat group, these genes were significantly

Study Of Data Mining Algorithm For Cloud Computing
ABSTRACT
This technical paper consists of the study of data mining algorithm in cloud computing. Cloud
Computing is an environment created in user s machine from online application stored in clouds and
run through web browser. Therefore, it is essential to manage user s data efficiently. Data mining also
known as knowledge discovery is the process of analyzing data from different perspectives and
summarizing it into useful information where the information can be used to increase revenue, cut
costs of implementation and maintenances, or all. Data mining software and/or algorithms is one of a
number of analytical tools for analyzing data. It allows users to analyze data from many different
dimensions or angles, categorize it, and summarize the relationships identified. Technically, data
mining is the process of finding correlations or patterns among dozens of fields in large relational
databases. The process of mining data can be done in many ways; this paper discusses the theoretical
study of two algorithms K means and Apriori, their explanation using flow chart and pseudo code, and
comparison for time and space complexity of the two for the dataset of an Online Retail Shop .

Glasspro, Inc. Outline The Differences
Life is riddled with choices: paper or plastic, chocolate or vanilla, Android or iOS. When it comes to
windshield replacement, however, deciding between OEM and aftermarket glass can be a bit more
involved. So which option is right for you? Below, the Cincinnati, OH auto glass experts at GlassPro,
Inc. outline the differences.
OEM
An OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) windshield is often fabricated by the original windshield
manufacturer and will be nearly identical to the one that rolled off the assembly line. Though, because
car manufacturers often switch glass companies mid run, there is a chance that your OEM windshield
will be made by a different glass company.
Regardless, an OEM windshield will be manufactured according to specific

Representations are not merely objective truth, but encompass conscious selectivity and emphasis
which shape and define the meaning we derive from a text. The importance of the Smithsonian s
Bearing Witness to History site as both a historical and American representation causes a divergence
in its purpose, between its obligation for factual accuracy and intrinsic support of specific cultural
values. Deepa Mehta s film Earth (1996) demonstrates the manipulation of texts to shape the meaning
we derive from the past, influenced by our memory of the past, distorted by personal context. Despite
delving into different historical events, each text demonstrates the complementary relationship of
historical truth and memory, a constructed dynamic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Smithsonian Museum is a selective representation that allow an intuitive recollection of history
oriented by our personal experience, whilst challenging the inflexible traditional museum through its
ability to be altered and manipulated by our personal memory and reminiscence. Continuous
uploading and addition of new content in conjunction with constantly altering graphics ensures that
the website is viewed differently by every responder, allowing our memory of the 9/11 to steer our
interpretation of the text. The provision of a Tell your story link, directing responder s to help
document this historic event , places equal academic validity in the function of memory as that of an
artefact, and in doing so, essentially intertwines the roles of history and memory as being
complementary in the documentation of fact. Supporting this distinct representation of 9/11, the title
of the website Bearing Witness to History allows the individual testimonies of its responders to
enhance this representation of a unified response to the attack. This is supported by curator William

Biography of President Andrew Jackson
I agree that with the rating of sixth overall that Andrew Jackson received for his presidency. Andrew
Jackson was the seventh president of the United States and a member of the Democratic Party.
Jackson made many positive and negative decisions as the president of the United States. Andrew
Jackson expanded the power of the president and he also expanded democracy during his time as the
president of the United States. Andrew Jackson has gone down as one of the best presidents in United
States history and that s because he did many great things to improve the United States. Throughout
his presidency he constantly abused his power as the president and did many things that expanded the
powers of the president. One of the biggest things that President Jackson did while in office was pass
the Indian Removal Act. The Indian Removal Act of 1830 was when Jackson forced all the Indians to
move to the land acquired in the Louisiana Purchase, while the Supreme Court declared this
unconstitutional. Many of the Indians went peacefully, but many of the Indians also decided to protest
and take it to the Supreme Court (Darrenkamp). While the court did side with the Indians Jackson and
Congress forced the Indians to give up their land. The federal troops were called in to escort the
Indians to their new land. Fifteen thousand Indians were forced to move and while on their way about
a third of the Indians died, and this event became to be known as the Trail of Tears (Darrenkamp).
Jackson had

  • 3. Examples Of Foreshadowing In The Veldt The Veldt Excessive attachment to technology can be dangerous to families and cause destruction. Ray Bradbury, the author of the short story The Veldt , has been described as a mainstream fantasist of great brilliance by Richard Wollheim. Lydia and George have raised two children, Peter and Wendy, in an electronic house where they can have everything they ever wanted. Everything is done for them, replacing the need for real parents. However, there is one exceptional room that the children have become excessively attached to. This room is known as the nursery, a high tech room that converts into whatever the human mind can conjure up. The children s unhealthy attachment to this room leads to their parents demise, as it replaces their actual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A quote from The Veldt is He showed it to her. The smell of hot grass was on it and the smell of a lion. There were drops of saliva on it, it had been chewed, and there were blood smears on both sides (Bradbury). Within the story, Bradbury uses foreshadowing shown through George s wallet found on the nursery ground. This wallet had been chewed and smeared with blood, foreshadowing that soon, George would face his death. A quote from another source is, Bradbury uses this technique to hint at the fate of George and Lydia Hadley. While the two are lying in bed, they hear screams coming from the nursery, and Lydia comments, Those screams they sound familiar. Later, the reader realizes that the screams sound familiar to Lydia because they are actually her screams and those of her husband (Ira Mark Milne). Another example of foreshadowing are the screams George and Lydia hear throughout the story. The screams are a result of Wendy and Peter conjuring up the death of their parents with their minds in the nursery. This ties to the theme because foreshadowing connects to the idea that technology takes reign in the lives of children. One last quote is, He bent and picked up a bloody scarf. This yours? (Bradbury). Once again, George discovers a sign of death within the nursery. The scarf gives an insight into the children s minds, which are filled with dark thoughts. It foreshadows death once again, however, this time the personal item belongs to Lydia, foreshadowing her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This patient is chronically depressed and recently being diagnosed with stage 3a Non Small Cell Lung Cancer. It is very difficult to formulate long term management plan after 45min consultation because information available about patient expectations and concerns are limited. • 6. Sources of Mercury and Health Effect Sources of Mercury and Health Effect Mercury is a naturally occurring element found in the earth s crust that can be found as the elemental or metallic mercury or in many organic and inorganic compounds. Mercury is a metal that when at room temperature is a silvery liquid metal and is often called one of the heavy metals. Mercury can evaporate like water, and become airborne. It is an element that does not break down into a less toxic substance. Once mercury escapes into the environment it will continue to circulate in and out of the atmosphere until it ends up at the bottoms of lakes and oceans. It cannot be created or destroyed (UWM, 2004). The most common or leading source of mercury in the environment is atmospheric deposition. Once mercury has reached the atmosphere it can circulate for years which make up for the extensive distribution in the environment. The natural sources that contribute to atmospheric mercury are volcanoes, geologic deposits of mercury, weathering of rocks and volatilization from the ocean. Rocks, sediments, water and soil also naturally contain small amounts of mercury; scientists have even found some local mineral occurrences and thermal springs that are natural high in mercury (USGS, 2009). Secondary sources of mercury result from burning fossil fuels and smelting metals. Mercury is also a by product of gold and zinc mining. Mercury is also found in many rocks one of them being coal, when coal is burned in power plants the mercury is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. The Spanish And English Colonies Though North America was first explored by Europeans when Nordic people settled in modern day Canada circa the 11th century, widespread colonization of the North American continent did not truly occur until the arrival of Spanish explorers four centuries later. English explorers quickly followed the Spanish to the New World and, though each group of colonists faced similar issues, the two colonies handled life in North and Central America quite differently. The Spanish and English colonies were generally the same in regard to their treatment of Native Americans while significantly different when examining the role of the European government on their colonies leadership in addition to their diverse economic foundations. The Spanish and English colonies were extremely similar, nearly identical even, in that each gave little respect to the religious origins and customary living of the Native Americans. The Spanish colonists were the first to arrive in the New World in the late 1400s, and, upon arrival, launched cultural attacks on the Native Americans. Spanish friars began stripping indigenous people of their native religion and forcing European practices onto the masses. The Reconquista of Spain from the Moors fabricated a very close relationship between the Roman Catholic church and Spanish authorities. Because the church now held so much power in Spain, Catholic leaders were able to send friars along on the government funded expeditions to the New World. The church ... There may be 15 or more activities, or ?jobs? as they are called in some Montessori classrooms, occurring at the same time with small groups or individual work, yet the classroom remains quiet, yet busy and productive, sometimes with the soft hush of classical music playing in the background. Many Montessori school classrooms place a card around the child?s neck with the day?s objectives written in the form of a checklist for the students to monitor themselves. This checklist encourages the students to take responsibility for their own learning, as well as discourages prompt dependence, since the student need not wait for instruction. Some of the activities in a Montessori classroom include reading, pre reading using phonics, math, discovery science and writing. Children learn skills in a way that he or she is not aware that learning is taking place. For example, a child playing in the sand box with a small rake is not aware that he or she is learning fine motor skills and how to hold and control a pencil. Another observation in a Montessori classroom is that most classrooms tend to span three grade levels. This practice allows to children to become mentors to younger students. Also, the large gap in developmental levels allows children to ?learn at their own pace? (Keller, 2001), which is another important Montessori ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We consider ourselves the low cost producers in this industry. Considering that we are a company with lower costs, we have decided that we can set lower prices that result in greater sales and profits. We watch our costs carefully. We consider that if it costs our company more than competitors to produce and sell our product, we will have to charge a higher price or make less profit, and try not to put it at a competitive disadvan¬tage. External Factors Affecting Pricing Decisions The Market and Demand Costs set the lower limits of prices, while the market and demand set the upper limit. Both consumer and industrial buyers balance the price of a product or service against the benefits of owning it. • 15. Theories Regarding Behaviors And Cognitive Biases And The... In recent years politicians and foundations have focused attention on the large numbers of students who begin college but never finish. More than 40 percent of full time starting students fail to complete within six years, and more than 70 percent of community college students fail to complete within three years (NCES 2012). Whether or not these rates are a sign of a problem, it remains true that the nation would gain the benefit of more college graduates if policies could be identified that would substantially increase graduation rates, assuming the increase does not come with a reduction in standards or a problematic shift in majors. The goal of this paper is to apply theories regarding behaviors and cognitive biases to the task of improving college outcomes. We start by making some simplifying assumptions about the motivations of college students in order to pinpoint relevant barriers to student progress. This allows us to tap the research literature for strategies to consider applying, including altering incentives. In the second section, we discuss behaviors to which these strategies can be applied, and we describe some approaches that could be considered. The point of college is to create independent and self motivated learners. The reader should be warned that the lists of possible experiments, when reviewed en masse, can create a disturbing specter of students being micromanaged through every aspect of a college education. Hally, a young, white teenager in Apartheid Era South Africa tells this joke to Sam, his black friend and father figure, almost irreparably ruining their relationship in Athol Fugard s 1982 play, Master Harold ... and the boys. Sam and Willie, another middle aged black man, work for Hally s mother at her Tea Shop while pursuing amateur dance on the side. Willie isn t as close to Hally as Sam is, nor is he as wise, and his broken relationship with his dance partner, Hilda, is analogous to Hally s troubles with his own father, who is an alcoholic cripple. These characters all have grievous flaws that appear nearly irredeemable at first. In his play, Athol Fugard conveys that it is never too late to change for the better using symbolism, metaphor, and dynamic characters. The author uses a park bench to symbolize racism, but Sam uses it to explain the possibility of Hally s redemption. The bench is where Hally sat after Sam took him kite flying in the park; Sam does not sit down, instead leaving because he had work to do (30). It becomes obvious that the bench represents racism when Sam reveals it was a Whites Only bench, and that s why he couldn t stay with Hally (58). So they should be allowed and provided opportunity to become robust citizens, and to grow up physically fit, mentally alert and morally healthy, being sufficiently endowed with skills and activations needed by the society. Equal opportunities for development to all children during the period of growth should be provided for reducing inequality and ensuring social justice, which in turn would serve as an effective tool to curb delinquency in juveniles. The impact of healthy thought is obvious. The science has proved that human brain is wired for beauty and for love (there is no room for the negative). Therefore when people are thinking and choosing, they are causing genetic expression and that means that at that appropriate time the production of proteins is happening and all these proteins grouped altogether form thought trees in the brain. A human being is also a thinking being .Every time one is thinking; he is growing a physical substance inside of the brain; he is actually changing the structure and function of his brain. Analysis Of The 17th And 17th Centuries By Ben Jonson Plagiarism in the 17th and 18th Centuries A line that appears on the cover page of Poetaster: A Comical Satyr, written in 1601 by Ben Jonson (1572 1637), the English dramatist and poet, had appeared earlier in Martial s Book VII, Verse 12, an epigram consisting of 99 verses. We know that Jonson used ideas taken from Ovid (Publius Ovidius Naso, 43 BCE CE 17), Horace, and Seneca and that his name appears in investigations of plagiarism in English literature. According to one source, Jonson invented the pejorative term playwright in 1687 to describe someone who had put together the work of others. Jonson alluded to the works of Horace and Virgil and to Rome. Jonson wrote that the name Canidia was but a borrowed name and that the ditty was borrowed. The words were Horace s, he stated, Hang him plagiary. This use of the term plagiary appeared in 1601. It referred to someone who forcefully possessed another. It had appeared earlier, in 1555, as plagiaire (French), and, in 1577, as plagium (Latin), translated as a net to entangle game, but was used in English Civil Law when referring to kidnapping or man stealing. It appeared also in July 1607, when Thomas Legge, Master of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, referred to the fact that someone had kidnapped his ideas for a play, The Destruction of Jerusalem.
