Westjet Is A Calgary Based Discount Airline
WestJet Airlines is a Calgary based discount airline founded in 1996 by Clive Beddoe, Don Bell, Mark
Hill and Tim Morgan. WestJet Airline began its business with only three aircrafts. The company is
now Canada s leading high value, low fare airline. WestJet established their company based on two
main factors; low cost structure and exceptional customer service. The airline s founders believe that
in order to be able to offer fares that are 50% lower than the average for industry you need to keep
your operational costs low. The way that WestJet has managed to maintain its low costs was through
an exceptional organizational culture which gives authority and acknowledges employees through the
decision process. It is the culture that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is not a necessity to hire supervisors because employees supervise themselves and work
together towards achieving the company s goals. WestJet s culture it is the key that has helped earned
their place as one of the most successful airlines, their culture led them to success. Based on the
success of the company, WestJet came to a decision to expand its market. However, the extension of
the market may put at risk the culture of the company due to the increase of performance and by
exceeding goals of customer satisfaction. This is the foremost problem that WestJet might face.
In view of the fact that culture is what made the company successful, with it being misplaced, it would
be difficult for WestJet to accomplish their purpose customer satisfaction. The involvement culture of
WestJet helped it in achieving high employee performance, increasing revenue, and escalating
customer service satisfaction. WestJet s culture is based on trust and respect among all. If anything
interferes the structure of which the company s was first developed it will in fact result in tragic
failure. Every role in a company is essential for the stability and the overall performance of the
company. Perhaps, in order to understand how the culture of the WestJet can be affected is by having a

Legal Evolution of the Exclusionary Rule Essay
The Constitution of the United States was designed to protect citizens civil rights from infringement
by the government and law enforcement agencies. The Constitution guarantees that the civil liberties
of the people of this country shall be respected and upheld. That fact is often considered to be
common knowledge and taken for granted by the vast majority of the population. However it was not
always that way. American legislation is constantly growing and developing. New rules and practices
are being developed and established. The exclusionary rule is considered to be the most vital to the
protection of civil rights. The exclusionary rule is represented by the Fourth Amendment of the
Constitution and it guarantees that illegally ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Despite the overwhelming significance of the rights protected and guaranteed by the Fourth
Amendment, many questions and concerns existed regarding police and court procedures and
practices. The most important of those questions was whether or not illegally obtained evidence could
be used in courts. Before 1914, any evidence obtained by the police could be used in both Federal and
State courts, regardless of any constitutional violations that might have taken place during the search
and seizure of that evidence. Such practice has spawned multiple occurrences of police misconduct.
Before that date, many police officers did not follow constitutional requirements. They could freely
search individuals and households and seize evidence without appropriate warrants. Needless to say,
that such poor performance resulted in illegal arrests and unjust prosecutions of innocent people. One
of such cases had become a landmark and initiated the long process of reforms in regard to the Fourth
Amendment and police conduct. The Supreme Court articulation of the exclusionary rule has come in
Weeks v. United States case in 1914. That case has changed the Fourth Amendment and related laws
forever. The defendant, Mr. Freemont Weeks was convicted based on the evidence illegally seized
from him during the warrantless search. The appeal was initiated by the defense attorney, thus
bringing the case to the attention of the highest Court. The United

Why I Do Not Travel
Travelling means to visit different places, experience their culture and society, and meet new people.
People travel to find pleasure and adventure from these experiences. But, there are some people who
do not travel or do not like to travel. I am one of them. From one point, I am a traveler because I came
here to study. Although I am going one place to another place and visiting with different society and
culture, I have travelled for education, not for adventure or excitement. I have been in Bulgaria for
almost two years, but I have not travelled yet during that time, except for going back to my home
country. Why do I not travel? There are three reasons that explain why I do not travel; money,
transportation and food. First of all, the travelling costs too much to me because I am a student,
especially international student. Thus, I have not enough money to travel. Also, living in Bulgaria
costs bit more than that in my hometown. Therefore, I try to spend less. When I went to Sofia, I spent
money on the expenses of transportation and food, nothing on the other activities such as visiting the
local museums. The less money I spend on the travel, the less satisfaction and pleasure I will get from
that. Secondly travelling starts by planning destination, buying ticket of the bus, train or plane and
preparing luggage, etc. But sitting on the plane or bus for many hours is not comfortable at all. Also,
you will get tired and bored. I have spent eleven hours

Etiology Of Schizophrenia Essay
Schizophrenia is a mental illness which affects the lives of the individual, their families and society
(Murray Lopez, 1996). The term Schizophrenia is often utilized to describe a major psychotic disorder
that alters the way an individual think, feels or acts (NCCMH, 2010). It is often worth noting that each
person who develops this mental illness possess their own unique combinations of symptoms and
experiences. Schizophrenia has been the subject of an ongoing controversy regarding its etiology and
treatment. Biological, environmental and social factors play a pivotal role in understanding
Schizophrenia and determining the outcomes. An individual suffering from Schizophrenia are usually
defined by the presence of delusions, hallucinations, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Research that has been conducted so far has attempted to determine the role of biological,
psychological and social factors but unfortunately, evidence does not point to any single factor.
Literature suggests that the etiology of schizophrenia and related psychoses results from a complex
interaction of multiple factors (Broome et al., 2005; Garety et al., 2007). Nuechterlein Dawson (1984)
suggest that much of the conducted research on the etiology of schizophrenia is consistent with the
vulnerability stress model. The vulnerability stress explains that individuals have different levels of
vulnerability to the mental illness schizophrenia. These levels are determined by the interaction
between biological, social and psychological factors. The research of Neuchterlein Dawson (1984)
proposed that vulnerability results in the development of problems if there was a presence of
environmental stressors. This proposal states that if there is great vulnerability, low levels of stress
might be sufficient to cause problems. On the other hand, if an individual possess less vulnerability,
problems only arise with higher levels of stress. Although the etiology of schizophrenia is not well
understood, this model is consistent with a variety of putative causes of this mental disorder, in
addition to the differential relapse and readmission rates that are overserved among people suffering

The Importance Of Camping With Small Children
Many people think taking a toddler camping is just asking for stress, headaches and complications.
Actually, your toddler can learn a lot at a young age from a trip into nature. Camping with small
children can be an entertaining experience while giving them the basic skills of life.
Surroundings
For toddlers, life is one huge learning experience. The simplest, most basic functions of the natural
world are fascinating and eye opening to them. Camping provides the opportunity to teach your
toddlers about nature and observing their surroundings. While sitting around the campsite, imagine
your toddler spotting a leaf falling from a tree and the fascination in their eyes as it slowly floats to the
ground. This is an opportunity to teach them about the different trees, leaves, plants and shrubs that
surround them.
Basic Survival Skills
Children are never too young to begin learning basic survival skills. Here s one that can be taught in
the form of a game. Bring some marbles in a bag that the toddler can carry. Other items can be used as
well, but stick with non edible ones for this lesson, or one of mother nature s little creatures may just
eat your lesson materials. Start at the edge of your campsite and choose a path into the woods that is
easy enough for them to walk with you. Have your toddler place marbles on the ground every couple
of feet to leave a trail to follow back to your site. Dropping and re discovering the marbles will not
only be a fun game, but will give

Outline Of Narrative Of Phylicia My Wife
Outline Introduction: Personal narrative Phylicia, my wife, was in class in West Mesquite High school
in Texas, like usual. During a break given to her by her teacher she found her group of girls she always
talked to. They started to have small talk and to make jokes. The chuckles of young school girls could
be heard throughout the entire class room. One of the girls made a comment that shifted the
conversation. Who do you live with? asked one of the girls to Phylicia. I live with my mom and
stepdad answered Phylicia, Who do you live with? she asked in return. One of the other girls chimed
in Oh I live with my mom, with a casual sound to her voice. The next girl answered the question I live
with my mom and step dad, with a similar nonchalant tone to her voice. The last girl answered I live
with my mom and dad. They sat there staring at her like a Martian. The concept of having both parents
still together was as alien as anything could have been to my wife, Phylicia, and her friends. All of the
girls were confused by the response. They didn t understand what she was saying and one asked No,
who do you live with? Your mom and stepdad or your dad and step mom? Her friend replied, No, I
live with my mom and my dad. As in they re married and we all live together. They couldn t believe it.
None of them lived with both their parents; this was an anomaly for them, both parents. After her
friends comment they all began to tease her and make fun of her. Looking

Overcoming The Way Of My Life
Overcome. Some see the word as a way of defeating a difficult obstacle. I would agree to an extent
that this is true for some, maybe most. For me however, to overcome has a whole other meaning. For
me, it meant to face my demons and forgive those who had hurt me. It meant finding a way to live my
life the way that I wanted and to not allow my past to interfere. My life is not really what one would
call the life of a typical teenager. My mother was a prostitute who was addicted to cocaine. My brother
and I were taken away from here and given to our aunt when we were born. We had a pretty decent
life, except for the fact that our new mother was never home so we were basically raised by her
children. For my brother, it was pretty okay because he was spoiled rotten by her daughter. For me, it
was a living Hell. I was not looked after as well as my brother. I still to this day still have no idea why.
That was just how it was. My adoptive mother had three children of her own. Two sons and a
daughter. When I was around five years old, her son started taking a liking to me. And I do not mean
the kind that a brother or relative takes into a small child. At first, it started with subtle caresses that I
never really paid any attention to. Then it progressed to him watching me get undressed in my room.
Finally it got to where he had me preform oral on him. I never really understood what was happening
at the time. I mean, I was only five years old so I never fully processed what was

My First Experience At Giving Birth
My First Experience at Giving Birth
Life seemed to have ended just as it was starting. One of my greatest wishes in life was to become a
mother, a nurturing, caring, patient, self gratifying responsibility. Every time I interacted with people
and every time I saw other ladies with their sons and daughters, I admired to be like them because I
love children.
However, I did not know the kind of journey that was ahead of me because I thought giving birth was
just an easy task. And before realizing that I was pregnant, I was so nervous because I thought
something might have been seriously wrong with me. For days I had been throwing up and I couldn t

Although it was a hard decision to make I knew in my heart I was doing the right thing.
During my pregnancy I felt like a queen and everyone in my family was very supportive. However,
my joy suddenly turned into sadness as time elapsed and my expected delivery date was drawing near.
During pregnancy, I was very careful in everything I did to protect my unborn infant. I kept imagine
the kind of joy my unborn child would bring me and my child s father after giving birth. I even visited
a nutritionist for advice on the type of diet I should intake because I did not want to compromise the
delivery of my unborn child in any way. So I followed the doctors orders which was to take my
prenatal vitamins every day as well as my iron pills three times a day and avoid any strenuous activity
such as exercising / lifting anything heavy. I also became more cautious in the things that I ate because
some of the fish that I was eating contained mercury which could have be harmful to my unborn child,
and eating hot sauce was giving me heart burn and indigestion. Besides that, all sweets that I had been
eating was making me gain and excessive amount of weight which was causing my ankles to swell. So
I cut out all the unhealthy food that I was eating because my aimed was to make sure that nothing
would prevent me from having a safe delivery.
At the time I tried not thinking about having my first child at seventeen

The Monkey s Paws Short Story Summary
Appreciating what you have
Greed and lust for something you don t need can lead to tragic consequences Amoruso . The story, The
Monkey s Paws is about a magical, enchanted monkey s paw, that was given to Mr. and Mrs. White by
Sergeant Major Morris. The Sergeant Major has explained to them that the paw had a spell cast. The
Sergeant Major warns him about the consequences and then throws it into the fire but then Mr. White
pulls it out. After The Sergeant left, Mr. White wishes for 200 pounds to pay off the house. The next
day, the couple s son Herbert is killed in an accident at work, and the company pays the couple 200
pounds in compensation (Jacobs, 1 5), This connects to the theme of Greed and lust for something you
don t need can lead to tragic consequences Amoruso because the couple did not know what they were
getting into but were willing to make a wish even though they did not need it. This theme is conveyed
by the literate techniques of description and dialogue to accomplish the goals of creating a setting,

Oral Hygiene for adults with Dementia
Introduction
The purpose of this essay is to discuss a clinical skill or nursing action by referring to the nursing and
allied health literature to explain and support evidence based practice. The skill I wish to examine is
the practice of oral hygiene for adults with dementia in residential aged care facilities. In this essay I
aim to provide the reader with adequate references to support the best practice for oral hygiene for
people with dementia.

Another assessment tool is the Oral Health Assessment tool and is a condensed alteration of the
BOHSE. It can be completed before implementing an individualized oral hygiene care plan.
Completing this assessment will help the health care professional assess the patients current oral status
and factors, which can contribute to their risk for oral disease. This makes it possible to put into
practice the most appropriate care, plan for the residents needs. There is only a small amount of
literature providing quality evidence based on the use of a successful oral health assessment tool for
people with dementia (JBI, 2004). There is no published evidence to this date that has directly linked
the use of the assessment tool and the standard of oral hygiene and care given within residential aged
care facilities (JBI, 2004). For successful assessment of the residents with dementia the assessment
should be undertaken by trained staff and on admission the assessment should also involve a dentist
(JBI, 2004). Assessment should be done on a regular basis, at least every 8 weeks (JBI, 2004).
Research has shown that staff training in oral hygiene and the use of an individualised Oral Hygiene
Care Plan is beneficial to the resident and also the nurse and will allow appropriate care (National
Guideline Clearing house [NGC], 2003).

Factors That Affect The Rate Of The Chemical Reaction
Introduction
A chemical reaction is when two or more (different) substances, react with each other to form new
chemical substances(product). In a chemical reaction, the molecular structure is rearranged. When the
molecular structure is rearranged it can increased or decreased. The signs of a chemical reaction
include a colour change, temperature change, formation into a gas and odour change. The rate of
reaction can be increased by increasing the temperature, concentration and the expansion of the
surface area which is explained by collision theory collision theory. Collision theory is when the
kinetic energy increases the chance that the atoms and molecules collide. Kinetic energy is an energy
which a body possesses by virtue of being in motion. By increasing the temperature the particles start
to move around quicker because they have more energy. This means that it is more likely to collide
with the other substance making it easier than to collide with each other, making the reaction rate
higher. Changing the concentration of the solution the particles become more crowded, therefore there
is a greater chance of the particles colliding, increasing the rate of the reaction. Lastly, by expanding
the surface area the particles are more exposed to the reactant, there s will be more constant so the rate
of reaction increases.
Aim
The purpose of this experiment is to investigate three different variables(increase in surface area,
increase in temperature and increase in

In Just Ee Cummings Summary
Analysis of E.E. Cummings In Just
Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience
that reveals the human spirit (BrainyQuote). Edward Estlin Cummings (most commonly known as
E.E. Cummings) proves this quote to be accurate because Cummings takes those risks to make his
poems very spontaneous and out there such as in r p o p h e s s a g r . This 19th century poet made
great poems that won many honors and awards such as the Dial award and many more. Cummings
believed in his style of poetry, he took those risks that other people thought wouldn t pay off, but by
sticking to his structure he created a unique style of poetry that expressed him as a writer, and

The setting of this poem occurs outside in spring. Where children are playing and doing what one
would see all little kids doing, playing hopscotch, playing in the mud, and dancing around. This poem
is an auditory as well as a visual read. It s meant to be read aloud, even the title becomes part of the
poem itself. The poem itself visually takes the reader along the trail in the park in early spring when
little children are running around and when the sun is out and shining bright. Cummings has a sort of
odd structure to this poem making it look like it dances around to go with the theme of playfulness and
dancing. The line Spring when the world is mud luscious (cummings,1) goes with the title of
Cummings poem it plays into the theme of it all. Also, the line and bettyandisbel come dancing from
hop scotch and jump rope (Cummings,13 14) relates to the theme because of how the names are
scrunched together symbolizing how a child would talk, and the hop scotch and jump rope being the
children playing. Therefor the poem In just by E.E Cummings represents a child s world and their
innocence and playfulness. Cummings expresses himself in this poem with metaphors such as when

According to Betty Samuelson, it is illegal to for employers to discriminate on the basis of race, color,

Miss Representation Summary
Miss Representation Critical Analysis
In Miss Representation, many female actresses, news anchors, politicians, directors and producers talk
about how females suffer a lot of social, political and economic inequalities in today s society. There
are double standards against women in magazines, on TV, in movies, the news, politics, and the
workplace. The media is an influential part of modern culture. When women are portrayed as objects
for men to use never as the protagonist or president and when female news anchors are objectified,
this will cause girls of all ages to begin viewing themselves as objects. Girls grow up in a world where
their voice does not count; where our culture does not embrace them in all of their diversities, where

The U.S. Congress is only 17% female. As a result, the decisions made by congressmen will tend to
favor men. We are shortchanging voices that are urgently needed in public forms from ever getting to
the table. (Booker) I do not think that it is merely the media to blame for girls not wanting to become
involved in politics. I feel as though girls should be leaders in politics only if they want to. Although
we need way more female representatives, this does not mean that girls should be forced to do
something that they are not interested in.
Women employees make less than men in the same job position. It is an absolute scandal that
American women continue to earn just $0.77 for every dollar men earn. (Sen. Mikulski) There should
not be a gender pay gap. Workers should be given salaries based on their work ethics, degrees, and
academic credentials.
All of those disadvantages for women in modern society are affecting young girls, and it is hard to
raise daughters in today s culture. We as a country should not just let this inequality continue. Men and
women should be treated equally and it is important for parents to raise their kids to make the future

Essay On Current Crisis 2016
Problems the United States is Facing in 2017
The North Koreans just launched a missile that caused a 6.3 magnitude seismic event to occur, this
was ten times more deadly than the missile launched on Hiroshima in World War Two according to the
article from CNN North Korea Nuclear Timeline Fast Facts. Three issues Americans face in 2017 are
the rising tensions with North Korea, illegal immigration, and human trafficking in the United States.
The tensions that have continued to build between North Korea and the United States have been a

Michael O Hanlon has gathered many ideas on how to diffuse the crisis between the United States and
North Korea, and possibly how to go about finding a long term resolution. (Hanlon). One might say
that the U.S. s problems with North Korea aren t the biggest issue America is facing, but with research
one can find that this is a life threatening issue. While the aggression between the United States and
North Korea is an issue, another issue the United States faces is illegal immigration.
The next issue the United States faces is illegal immigration. According to the article, 5 Facts About
Illegal Immigration In The U.S.., in 2015 there were nearly eleven million unlicensed immigrants in
the United States (Krogstad). The article, 5 Facts About Illegal Immigration In The U.S.., explains that

Ethical And Legal Principles Of Nurses And Biomedical...
In recent years, ethical and legal principles have been emphasized in the practice of medical
practitioners such as paramedics, nurses and biomedical technicians as it is important to build up a
solid foundation to protect human beings in relation to the drastic development in the medical
industry. In this essay, the two legal principles that I will be focusing are justice and negligence.
Besides that, I will be discussing on two ethical principles which are autonomy and confidentiality. As
autonomy and consent are tightly connected, the consent of a patient will be included in part of my
discussion.
As paramedics, we do not have any autonomy in choosing our clients as that is not part of our service.
We are called out based on priority because anyone at any time could need our assistance in an
emergency, regardless of race, religion, status and age. We can hold no discrepancies over who we
treat, as whoever we get called for is in need of my upmost care and respect. Only in certain
circumstances, we have the right to refuse treatment till we get full support and backup from the local
policemen if the patient is being violent or threatening our personal safety. Healthcare organisations
and ambulance services are the ones responsible in setting our fees as it varies in different cases. For
example, the fees will be much higher if we are called out to deal with a Priority 1 case or when we
have to travel long distances to get to the client.
We have the right to involve other

The Pros And Cons Of The Green Revolution
Introduction: The Green Revolution was a research and development initiative aimed to increase the
number of crop yields from the years between 1930 1960 and the subsequent years following them
which resulted in the adaptation of various technologies leading to the invention of high yielding
varieties of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and new irrigation methods. It has facilitated socio economic
changes which have helped in preventing natural calamities due to the ever increasing world
population and has provided people with an option of self sustaining and reduced poverty. The Green

These credit institutions mortgaged lands to farmers which in turn proved beneficial for these
institutions as they could acquire these farms if the farmer was unable to the pay the loan (Ponting,

machinery on the farmlands (Bruce Koppel, 1987). Conclusion: Thus, it can be clearly said that the
Green Revolution replaced, one way of life with another within a short span of two decades. due to its
massive agricultural developments (Parayil, 1992). It was a major achievement when it was
implemented in the developing countries as it gave them a sense of food security after the end of the
World War 2. It got many people out of poverty and hunger and while this was focussed on, it also
dropped down the prices for food, increased migration, generated employment and the increased
economy as well. Agriculture research still needs new research to tackle the upcoming problems
related to increasing yields to feed the ever growing population and growth of food for the developing
countries. Add to that, globalization and trade will make food prices less liable to local food produce
and agriculture will not be as important for people

Comparing Ancient Greek and Ancient Roman Architecture Essay
The two ancient civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome were the best of the best during their time

followed by the Minoans. The Minoans built the foundation of Greece. The Roman Empire was
founded around 753 B.C. by the two twins, Romulus and Remus. Romulus ended up killing Remus
and built the city of Rome on one of seven rolling hills. Architecture was very important to both

calculated as the sum of squares of market shares of the firm within the industry. Here the market
shares are expressed in percentage or in fractions. Its range lies between 0 to 1.0, in other words it
moves from huge number of small firms in an industry to a single monopolistic producer. As HHI

Le Carnaval Des Animaux-Ciklus Virtuoso
The online concert that I listened to was called Le Carnaval des Animaux Ciklus Virtuoso, which
lasted about twenty seven minutes. Le Carnaval des Animaux composed of a chamber orchestra, it
was a small group playing. If I listened to this on a CD, I would think this was a symphony orchestra.
While watching this concert, I observed many different things. The instruments that I saw were
pianos, cello, violin, clarinet, xylophone, flute, and the viola. The piece s dynamics started out
pianissimo (very softly) and then began to go from soft to louder over time which is called crescendo
and the other instruments started to chime in. The most played instrument in the concert was the
piano. When the pianos were playing, they sometimes took low runs of octaves. The piano played a
cackling tune as the violin started to play louder. The first movement concluded with all the
instruments using a fortissimo (very loud) note. In the middle of the concert, the pianos played a
higher, softer, version of the melody while the violins were playing at the same beat. More towards the
end, the piano was played gentle, while a solo cello played a slow smooth melody. The pitch of the
violin sound went from high pitch to low pitch. My observation throughout listening to this concert
were, it sounded to me like the violins and cellos were attempting to make squeaky noises to imitate a
certain type of animal. The same scale was played over and over again. The flute was played very
softly, while the cello was played louder. Towards the middle of the concert, the melody is played by

The Four Styles Of Learning By Honey And Mumford
Learning is the art of gaining skills, preference, information, ethics, behavior and can engage one in

learning as follows Activists, Reflectors, Theorists and Pragmatists.
Activists are the people who a re risk takers and they like experimenting new things and doing the
work based on trial and error method. For instance when a student learns a new chemical formula in a
chemistry class, he would be more enthusiastic to do the experiment at home and see what the result
is. He would take the risk to do the experiment at home irrespective of what the result of it was to be

Vladimir Lenin As A Hero
Heroes come in many shapes and sizes, throughout time many of them have risen and fallen. A hero is
characterized as someone that is a leader to his people, they reflect societal views, and yet they have a
major flaw that often causes their downfall. During the 20th century a revolutionary man rose from his
years of exile to lead the Bolshevik party into power, his name, Vladimir Lenin. Lenin stands as a
prime example of a leader that reflects Russia s social values, and as a flaw for his outspoken nature
suffers from a near death assassination. Vladimir Lenin, like Achilles, looked for ways that benefited
him in order to gain power, he was an aggressive man that had a certain set of beliefs that led to
become a Marxist. Lenin enrolled in the Kazan University, only to be expelled within his first term for
participating in a student demonstration. During his time from his studies, Lenin immersed himself in
revolutionary politics, taking a large interest in Karl Marx s writings, this later played a large influence
during his time of power. Lenin in many cases is similar to Achilles, a fictional warrior from the Iliad.
In book 22, Priam compares Achilles to Orion s dog, to Greeks this is a bad omen. Priam then turns to
his son, who stands outside the gates of Troy, and tells him this, He is more powerful by far than you,
and pitiless (143, bk 22, lines 47 48). Priam knows that Hector has no chance of winning against
Achilles, for he is out to get revenge on the death of his

Screwtape Writes To Wormword Summary
Chapter I 7/1/15 Screwtape writes to Wormword and the first thing that stood out to me was the chain
of reasoning. I had to go back and read this sentence plenty of times to begin to understand what he
meant. We as Christians today deal with this reasoning as something that we have done wrong. The
more we think we do wrong, the chain of effects and consequences get bigger. I believe this statement
is a preface to the question Why do bad things happen to good people? For example if a person stole a
candy bar from a gas station, they might think they got away with it, and no one caught them. If
Karma truly existed, something might get stolen from that person. That person would get mad, and a
chain of reasoning would begin. Later ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Screwtape that question has been answered by the High Command. He says that for the
moment their policy is to conceal themselves from their patients. Screwtape introduces a dilemma.
When humans disbelieve in our existence we lose all the pleasing results of direct terrorism and we
make no magicians. On the other hand, when they believe in us, we cannot make them materialists
and sceptics. Obliviously this situation has become a big problem for demons like Screwtape. In a
human doesn t believe that a demon is causing them pain and suffering, then the demon doesn t take
as much pleasure for doing something. If I do something good I know that I would like to be rewarded
or acknowledged for something even if that is not having the Servants heart that God wants us to have.
On the flipside if a person knew there was a demon doing all of these terrible and unthinkable things
to them, they would know that all bad things would come from demons. It is like a surprise birthday
party. If you know that your good group of friends is throwing you a surprise party, you won t enjoy it
as much if you had no idea about it. What I want to know is why Wormword would want to reveal
himself to his patient? I really cant figure out any positives about it besides, the person knowing who

different parts of our day by day lives where we utilize the web.
Electronic commerce (e commerce) has been defined in different ways by different researchers.
Schneider and Perry (2000), characterize e trade as business actions directed using electronic
information transmission by means of the web and World Wide Web. As per Turban, King, Lee,

characterize e commerce as the utilization of the web to purchase, offer, or bolster items and
administrations. In this study, e trade involves the utilization of the web for purchasing and offering
items or administrations.
Electronic trade and actions identified with it that are directed over the web can be a source that

Solubility Enhancement Of Fenofibrate By Solid Dispersion...
Solubility Enhancement of Fenofibrate by Solid Dispersion Technique
1. Introduction:
Oral route of drug administration is one of the preferable methods of drug delivery due to its
convenience, ease of administration and a more effective medication system than other drug delivery
systems in terms of patient s compliance. However, not all drugs are of same solubility; some poorly
soluble hydrophobic drug often generates certain complexities in formulation development as well as
other clinical research. As a result, increasing the dose and higher administration frequency of these
poorly soluble drugs may not compensate for the therapeutic dose of the drug. Therefore, to
effectively utilize the therapeutic efficacy of the drug, enhancement of solubility and dissolution
profile can be a promising approach.
1.1 Techniques available to enhance solubility:
The solubility of a solute can be defined as the maximum amount of solute dissolving in a specific
quantity of solvent at a specified temperature. To improve the solubility of poorly soluble drugs,
numerous techniques are available which can be categorized in three basic approaches:
1. Traditional Techniques
2. Newer and Novel Techniques
3. Solid Dispersion Technique

Mellitus And Atherosclerosis
Diabetes mellitus and atherosclerosis are two diseases that share a relationship between each other.
My research paper will focus on this relationship and ways to manage them. People with diabetes
mellitus who have atherosclerosis are at a higher risk for developing macro and micros vascular

is a consequence of the decreased size of the lumen of the blood vessel and the raised capillary

Wideman Vs. Limerick Essay
John Edgar Wideman s Our Time , and Patricia Nelson Limerick s Empire of Innocence , are two very
different stories about one particular theme. In these selections both authors are writing history.
Wideman is writing the history of his brother s life, and Limerick is writing the history of the old west.
Although the theme is the same, the two authors styles, methods, and writing concerns differ greatly.
In the following passage from Our Time , John is visiting his brother, Robby, in prison. While
listening to Robby s story, John begins to question the type of book this project will become:

mine, so I have to break into the silence with my own version of the past. My words. My whistling in

The variance between John and Robby s stories brings Wideman to the decision to write the selection
as both of the brothers recollections.
As Limerick tells the story of the old west, she explains, One skill essential to the writing of Western
American history is a capacity to deal with multiple points of view (Limerick p. 504). She explains
this through many stories, including the stories of Narcissa Whitman, the missionary sent to save the
Indian tribes, and Julia Bulette, a prostitute. Both were murdered. Narcissa by the Indian tribe she was
working with, and Julia by John Milleain of Virginia City. The Indians were looked upon as beasts,
and Milleain was praised by the respectable women of Virginia City. In perspective, and in Limericks
opinion, the Indians may not have been to blame, due to the fact that they were merely protecting
themselves from the diseases brought on by Narcissa that had already killed every infected tribe
member. Not to forget Julia Bulette s favored death just because her profession was not morally
accepted. These are the views referred to by Limerick that are often skipped over in stories

Essay on The Cultural Significance of The Tale of Genji
The Cultural Significance of The Tale of Genji
The Tale of Genji is one of the most important stories of ancient Japanese literature. Japanese scholar
Sin Ohno said that there is no literature written during the Heian Era which is written in as precise
language as The Tale of Genji. The author, Murasaki Shikibu, is a woman. In this tale, we can see the
concept towards marriage of women during her period.
During the Nara Era, and some time before, the concept of marriage was totally different from the
concept we know today. It is called Tsuma Toi Kon. Tsuma means wife; Toi means to visit; Kon means
marriage. In order to explain the marriage during this era, I will present an example of the typical
interactions between men ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During this time, daughters inherit the land from their mother. This shows that men and women did
not completely rely on each other economically. Men and women generally had their own properties
and estates. Sometimes women rejected men coming to visit them at their estates after the relationship
began. On the other hand, men sometimes stopped visiting women. During the Heian era, traditional
marriage was still strong. Also, in some cases, when a man stopped visiting a woman for a while,
another man started visiting the woman. While the new man was still visiting, the old man might come
back to visit the woman; two men might even meet each other. Visiting several women at a time was
not considered rude during this era.
Women were often treated differently according to status. Women of different status often hated each
other and became jealous of each other. In The Tale of Genji, women of the court hated Kiritsubo
because the emperor loved her the most even though Kiritsubo was in a lower position than those
women. There were many problems concerning marriage during this era.
During the Heian era, however, new changes occurred. The growth of a consuming public accelerated
with the development of cities like Heian Kyo. People used to work, even wives of nobles, outside on
their farm land. Royalty started living on the money collected by the government, and also lived on

Artificial Heart Valve Research Paper
Artificial heart valve is a device implanted in the heart of a patient with valvular heart disease. When
one of the four heart valves malfunctions, the medical choice may be to replace the natural valve with
an artificial valve. This requires open heart surgery. Valves are integral to the normal physiological
functioning of the human heart. Natural heart valves are evolved to forms that perform the functional
requirement of inducing unidirectional blood flow through the valve structure from one chamber of
the heart to another. Natural heart valves become dysfunctional for a variety of pathological causes.
Some pathologies may require complete surgical replacement of the natural heart valve with a heart

Positive And Negative Ramification Of The Papacy
Introduction
Traditions are powerful. Take for example the Catholic understanding of Saint Peter as the first pope.
This tradition is established in the scriptural passage from Matthew 16:18, which states, And I tell you,
you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it
(ESV). Additionally, the tradition is further substantiated by his physical presence, as most scholars
agree that Peter did visit Rome, and that there is at least a very high probability that he died there. In
fact, Peter is considered the founder and bishop of the church in Rome because his authority was
recognized among the early churches. The Catholic Church believes Peter s authority was handed
down to his successors. Consequently, Roman Catholics worldwide today are subject to Pope Francis

Throughout the rise of the papacy, there are several examples of positive and negative ramification.
The positive development is seen in the advancement of Christianity throughout the empire. However,
the power of the papacy grew not simply because more people were Christian, but because the kind of
Christianity they followed looked more and more to Rome for direction. Additionally, a series of papal
actions, culminating with Pope Leo III crowning Charlemagne as emperor, brought a period known as
the Carolingian Renaissance where the methods of theological exploration flourish and all writings
were preserved through the monks tireless copying production. Finally, bishops were able to protest
unjustified rulings against them to the court of appeals in

Personal Speech On Football
In just about every football game from any age group there is always some sort of peptalk. This is
usually given by the coach to fire up the players and get them ready for the game ahead of them. The
pep talk I got that night will be in my mind for the rest of my life. My Coach always gave us life
lessons that were key not only on the field but off of it as well. He would say things such as there is no
I in team and anything is accomplishable if you work hard enough. He was always inspiring me with
his speeches, but one stuck out the most. This speech was at one of our Thursday night meetings; we
would meet every Thursday to eat supper together as a team, hang out with freinds, and most
importantly get ready for the game on Friday. We would always sit in chairs and listen to him; Usually
ranting on about teamwork and stuff like that but he changed it up. The life lesson he was teaching us
was play like it was your last game.
In his story he talked about a bulldog, and how the owner showed no pity on him. The man would not
let the bulldog ride in the carriage with him, the dog always had to keep up with the man. One night
the man was riding in his carriage and decided to camp the night out. So he stopped and set up his
camp and noticed the dog wasn t around. The man said to his kids if the bulldog wants to live he will
catch up . The kids were devastated at this and wanted the dog back, but did not testify their dad s
words. The man woke up in the middle of the night to the sounds of growling and vicious snarling.
That s when he heard his bulldog aggressively barking back at the creature. The man didn t dare go
outside to help his dog because he thought the dog had the willpower and strength to fend for itself. So
he heard a long going battle of barking, growling, biting, and whimpering. At about midnight the
fighting noises stopped in a great whimpering noise. He didn t know if the dog was still alive or not
but he went back to sleep. The next day the man and his family woke up and left the tent to find his
bulldog laying in the grass next to a giant grey wolf. The bulldog fought for its life and won, this is
because the wolf thought he had nothing to lose but the bulldog fought for everything he had. My

Was Roosevelt A Pragmatist
To understand whether FDR was to a greater extent an Isolationist in the 1930s, one must consider of
his foreign policy in the 1930s and figure out which of his foreign policy was made in a perspective of
an pragmatist, isolationist or gradualist. Finally, one must consider which of the three different views
or perspective was to a greater extent, great extent or somewhat extent suitable to FDR with regards to
his foreign policy.
Roosevelt was predominantly a Pragmatist with regards to his decision made throughout his foreign
policy in 1930s. Despite Roosevelt understand that US involvement in war is crucial, and had won
some support for his views in the quarantine speech; Roosevelt did not offered no real action due to
concerns to be called ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Roosevelt s Good neighbor policy was a non intervention policy that aims to promote good
relationship with Latin America and solidify Latin American support through avoiding Military
intervention of US to Latin America, but instead using a much more peaceful tone. This is important
as it clearly shows that Roosevelt was not a staunch isolationist as the reason he want to maintain a
good relationship with Latin is due to fear towards the conflict in Europe, so from this it could be seen
that Roosevelt is actually preparing for intervention to war and is seeking for ways to gain more
support and Latin American is one of it. In addition in August 1935, Roosevelt had also signed the
Neutrality Act; a law that was designed to keep the United States out of a possible European war by
banning shipment of war materiel to belligerents at the discretion of the President. This is important as
despite aware of the rise of totalitarism, Roosevelt didn t challenger over the congress over on the
neutrality act and was willing to follow his good neighbor policy for the purpose of avoiding USA
entanglements in the 1930s as Americans had been frightened by the tragic of war as memories of the
First world War were still

WestJet Airline began its business with only three aircrafts. The company is now Canada s leading high value, low fare airline. WestJet established their company based on two main factors; low cost structure and exceptional customer service. The airline s founders believe that in order to be able to offer fares that are 50% lower than the average for industry you need to keep your operational costs low. Legal Evolution of the Exclusionary Rule Essay The Constitution of the United States was designed to protect citizens civil rights from infringement by the government and law enforcement agencies. The Constitution guarantees that the civil liberties of the people of this country shall be respected and upheld. That fact is often considered to be common knowledge and taken for granted by the vast majority of the population. However it was not always that way. Despite the overwhelming significance of the rights protected and guaranteed by the Fourth Amendment, many questions and concerns existed regarding police and court procedures and practices. The most important of those questions was whether or not illegally obtained evidence could be used in courts. Before 1914, any evidence obtained by the police could be used in both Federal and State courts, regardless of any constitutional violations that might have taken place during the search and seizure of that evidence. Such practice has spawned multiple occurrences of police misconduct. Before that date, many police officers did not follow constitutional requirements. They could freely search individuals and households and seize evidence without appropriate warrants. Needless to say, that such poor performance resulted in illegal arrests and unjust prosecutions of innocent people. One of such cases had become a landmark and initiated the long process of reforms in regard to the Fourth Amendment and police conduct. The Supreme Court articulation of the exclusionary rule has come in Weeks v. United States case in 1914. That case has changed the Fourth Amendment and related laws forever. The defendant, Mr. Freemont Weeks was convicted based on the evidence illegally seized from him during the warrantless search. The appeal was initiated by the defense attorney, thus bringing the case to the attention of the highest Court. The United ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Why I Do Not Travel Travelling means to visit different places, experience their culture and society, and meet new people. People travel to find pleasure and adventure from these experiences. But, there are some people who do not travel or do not like to travel. I am one of them. From one point, I am a traveler because I came here to study. Although I am going one place to another place and visiting with different society and culture, I have travelled for education, not for adventure or excitement. I have been in Bulgaria for almost two years, but I have not travelled yet during that time, except for going back to my home country. Why do I not travel? There are three reasons that explain why I do not travel; money, transportation and food. First of all, the travelling costs too much to me because I am a student, especially international student. Thus, I have not enough money to travel. Also, living in Bulgaria costs bit more than that in my hometown. Therefore, I try to spend less. When I went to Sofia, I spent money on the expenses of transportation and food, nothing on the other activities such as visiting the local museums. The less money I spend on the travel, the less satisfaction and pleasure I will get from that. Secondly travelling starts by planning destination, buying ticket of the bus, train or plane and preparing luggage, etc. But sitting on the plane or bus for many hours is not comfortable at all. Also, you will get tired and bored. I have spent eleven hours ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The term Schizophrenia is often utilized to describe a major psychotic disorder that alters the way an individual think, feels or acts (NCCMH, 2010). It is often worth noting that each person who develops this mental illness possess their own unique combinations of symptoms and experiences. Research that has been conducted so far has attempted to determine the role of biological, psychological and social factors but unfortunately, evidence does not point to any single factor. Literature suggests that the etiology of schizophrenia and related psychoses results from a complex interaction of multiple factors (Broome et al., 2005; Garety et al., 2007). Nuechterlein Dawson (1984) suggest that much of the conducted research on the etiology of schizophrenia is consistent with the vulnerability stress model. The vulnerability stress explains that individuals have different levels of vulnerability to the mental illness schizophrenia. These levels are determined by the interaction between biological, social and psychological factors. The research of Neuchterlein Dawson (1984) proposed that vulnerability results in the development of problems if there was a presence of environmental stressors. This proposal states that if there is great vulnerability, low levels of stress might be sufficient to cause problems. On the other hand, if an individual possess less vulnerability, problems only arise with higher levels of stress. Although the etiology of schizophrenia is not well understood, this model is consistent with a variety of putative causes of this mental disorder, in addition to the differential relapse and readmission rates that are overserved among people suffering from ... Actually, your toddler can learn a lot at a young age from a trip into nature. Camping with small children can be an entertaining experience while giving them the basic skills of life. Surroundings For toddlers, life is one huge learning experience. The simplest, most basic functions of the natural world are fascinating and eye opening to them. Camping provides the opportunity to teach your toddlers about nature and observing their surroundings. While sitting around the campsite, imagine your toddler spotting a leaf falling from a tree and the fascination in their eyes as it slowly floats to the ground. This is an opportunity to teach them about the different trees, leaves, plants and shrubs that surround them. Basic Survival Skills Children are never too young to begin learning basic survival skills. Here s one that can be taught in the form of a game. Bring some marbles in a bag that the toddler can carry. Other items can be used as well, but stick with non edible ones for this lesson, or one of mother nature s little creatures may just eat your lesson materials. Start at the edge of your campsite and choose a path into the woods that is easy enough for them to walk with you. Have your toddler place marbles on the ground every couple of feet to leave a trail to follow back to your site. Dropping and re discovering the marbles will not only be a fun game, but will give ... During a break given to her by her teacher she found her group of girls she always talked to. They started to have small talk and to make jokes. The chuckles of young school girls could be heard throughout the entire class room. One of the girls made a comment that shifted the conversation. Who do you live with? asked one of the girls to Phylicia. I live with my mom and stepdad answered Phylicia, Who do you live with? she asked in return. One of the other girls chimed in Oh I live with my mom, with a casual sound to her voice. The next girl answered the question I live with my mom and step dad, with a similar nonchalant tone to her voice. The last girl answered I live with my mom and dad. They sat there staring at her like a Martian. The concept of having both parents still together was as alien as anything could have been to my wife, Phylicia, and her friends. For me however, to overcome has a whole other meaning. For me, it meant to face my demons and forgive those who had hurt me. It meant finding a way to live my life the way that I wanted and to not allow my past to interfere. My life is not really what one would call the life of a typical teenager. My mother was a prostitute who was addicted to cocaine. My brother and I were taken away from here and given to our aunt when we were born. We had a pretty decent life, except for the fact that our new mother was never home so we were basically raised by her children. For my brother, it was pretty okay because he was spoiled rotten by her daughter. For me, it was a living Hell. I was not looked after as well as my brother. I still to this day still have no idea why. That was just how it was. My adoptive mother had three children of her own. Two sons and a daughter. When I was around five years old, her son started taking a liking to me. And I do not mean the kind that a brother or relative takes into a small child. At first, it started with subtle caresses that I never really paid any attention to. Then it progressed to him watching me get undressed in my room. • 15. Factors That Affect The Rate Of The Chemical Reaction Introduction A chemical reaction is when two or more (different) substances, react with each other to form new chemical substances(product). In a chemical reaction, the molecular structure is rearranged. When the molecular structure is rearranged it can increased or decreased. The signs of a chemical reaction include a colour change, temperature change, formation into a gas and odour change. The rate of reaction can be increased by increasing the temperature, concentration and the expansion of the surface area which is explained by collision theory collision theory. Collision theory is when the kinetic energy increases the chance that the atoms and molecules collide. Kinetic energy is an energy which a body possesses by virtue of being in motion. By increasing the temperature the particles start to move around quicker because they have more energy. This means that it is more likely to collide with the other substance making it easier than to collide with each other, making the reaction rate higher. Changing the concentration of the solution the particles become more crowded, therefore there is a greater chance of the particles colliding, increasing the rate of the reaction. Lastly, by expanding the surface area the particles are more exposed to the reactant, there s will be more constant so the rate of reaction increases. Aim The purpose of this experiment is to investigate three different variables(increase in surface area, increase in temperature and increase in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It got many people out of poverty and hunger and while this was focussed on, it also dropped down the prices for food, increased migration, generated employment and the increased economy as well. While watching this concert, I observed many different things. The instruments that I saw were pianos, cello, violin, clarinet, xylophone, flute, and the viola. The piece s dynamics started out pianissimo (very softly) and then began to go from soft to louder over time which is called crescendo and the other instruments started to chime in. The most played instrument in the concert was the piano. When the pianos were playing, they sometimes took low runs of octaves. The piano played a cackling tune as the violin started to play louder. The first movement concluded with all the instruments using a fortissimo (very loud) note. In the middle of the concert, the pianos played a higher, softer, version of the melody while the violins were playing at the same beat. More towards the end, the piano was played gentle, while a solo cello played a slow smooth melody. The pitch of the violin sound went from high pitch to low pitch. My observation throughout listening to this concert were, it sounded to me like the violins and cellos were attempting to make squeaky noises to imitate a certain type of animal. Introduction: Oral route of drug administration is one of the preferable methods of drug delivery due to its convenience, ease of administration and a more effective medication system than other drug delivery systems in terms of patient s compliance. However, not all drugs are of same solubility; some poorly soluble hydrophobic drug often generates certain complexities in formulation development as well as other clinical research. As a result, increasing the dose and higher administration frequency of these poorly soluble drugs may not compensate for the therapeutic dose of the drug. Therefore, to effectively utilize the therapeutic efficacy of the drug, enhancement of solubility and dissolution profile can be a promising approach. 1.1 Techniques available to enhance solubility: The solubility of a solute can be defined as the maximum amount of solute dissolving in a specific quantity of solvent at a specified temperature. The Indians were looked upon as beasts, and Milleain was praised by the respectable women of Virginia City.
