Nuclear, Coal, Natural Gas, And Solar
Nuclear, coal, natural gas, and solar. These four are known for being the major sources of energy. All
have pros and cons that are pretty much well known. Solar is renewable but expensive. Natural gas is
cheap but damages the environment. Nuclear has a large power generating capacity but is dangerous
and coal abundant and cheap but is just too dirty. What if there was a fifth type of fuel? A so called
invisible fuel. The cheapest and cleanest energy choice that is often over looked, efficiency. An article
in The Economist by Chris Madden reviews and discusses this invisible fuel at length. The article
begins by discussing the strives that have been made regarding efficiency since the 1970 s but
mentions that there is still significant improvements that can be made. It mentions a report by the
American Energy Efficiency Group that reviews the cost of saving a kilowatt hour vs the cost of
producing a kilowatt hour. The report states that in some cases saving a kilowatt hour can cost as low
as one sixth of a cent. According to the article, the single largest chunk of energy consumption is in
the heating and cooling of buildings. This amounts to 31% of total final energy consumption. It
mentions a man named Mr. Liebreich who had difficulty findings builders who were skilled in energy
savings techniques. He had to follow them around to ensure they were properly taping the insulating
boards and follow other energy saving techniques. Mr. Liebreich is not

Character Analysis Of King Henry V
King Henry is one of the most successful kings of England. He brought two warring kingdoms
crashing together, and melded them into one united country. Henry is an extremely interesting and
dynamic character. From a young age he associated with criminals, drunkards, and other lowly
citizens. When his father was on his deathbed, he requested that Henry stopped being a criminal, and
begin acting like a king. Henry made that oath, and stayed true to it until his dying day.
As a king, he became a king after being a criminal. He went from a criminal prince to an upstanding
kind king who understands justice and follows the righteous path for the rest of his life. It is such a
crazy transformation; from criminal hiding crimes from the king to ... Show more content on

Directly after that event, he judges three people to death for attempting treason. Reasons like this are
the reason Henry progresses the story as the main protagonist. He is the main driving force that is
pushing the plotline forward. Every time he is in a scene he enhances it, and brings the act more color
and flare.
While Henry does adapt his ways often, he doesn t always change. One of the examples of him
sticking to old ways is how he is a religious man. Early in the story, he listens to the Archbishop, and
starts this war because of him. The Archbishop is the prophet of god, which correlates with being a
pious person. The English win the Battle of Agincourt in an astounding manner; only losing less than
30 men while the French lost 10,000 men. He decides the reason behind them winning the battle God
s will. Another example of this is his choice to end people s lives.
Henry V is a man of God, which is again shown on the eve of the Battle of Agincourt when he is
talking with his men. One of his men wishes they had more men fighting, yet Henry wishes the
opposite. If God has chosen them to lose this battle then more men would die. On the
other hand, if God had chosen them to win, extra men wouldn t be needed, so they can use those extra
men to suppress the Scottish rebellion.
Henry doesn t blame always blame the innocents for others crimes either. There is an example in
which Henry V has no quarrel with the innocent. The time arrives when

A Lady of Letters and Cream Cracker under the Settee by...
A Lady of Letters and Cream Cracker under the Settee by Alan Bennett The two monologues I am
going to be writing about are two elderly women who are lonely and trapped in their own homes. I
will be talking about how Doris, one lady from Cream cracker under the settee and Irene, the other
lady in Lady of letters are suffering from loneliness. Doris and Irene both live alone. They don t seem
to have any special friends. For example, Irene doesn t like being people calling her Irene. People who
come across Irene must call her Miss.Ruddock; nobody has called her Irene since her mother died.
Only real friends may call Miss Ruddock Irene. But both Doris and Irene have people who do you
look out for them like the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like when she complained to the council about a curb being cracked, little things like this are quite
amusing to see such an intelligent women making a fuss. Irene and Doris also have some things in
common. They both have lost loved ones in their lives. This is an important story line in both
monologues, as I will explain later on. The music in these monologues feels the emotions of what the
characters are feeling. When there is a scene where Doris or Irene is happy, the music will go along
with the expressions. I could tell when the topic came up on the loved lost ones it was a very dramatic
time for Irene and Doris. The music drained out the room with a slow deep beat of a bellow. This
makes the monologues more realistic with the different types and style of music, and with the pauses
where no music is played at all. Cream cracker under the settee and lady of letters are both set in
houses. Which are very stereotypical houses for the elderly, with the dull colours, except in these
houses they have horrible bars on their windows that couldn t make Doris and Irene feel very
comfortable. There are a number of things I could write for Doris and Irene, imprisonment, lack and
loss and the endings of the monologues. But I have chosen to go in deeply about the loneliness and
how it has affected them. I feel that this topic is one of the main structures of the monologues. IRENE

The Factors Of Food Waste In Public Schools
Growing research shows steady increase in food waste throughout the globe. One largely contributing
factor is food waste produced from the public schools. The amount of food wasted in schools,
according to the USDA, has ranged between 10 37% of calories served (Buzby, J., Guthrie, J., 2002).
It is difficult to compare public school waste to global amounts due to the scarcity of specific data this
would depend on region, economic status and additional factors associated with how and why food is
wasted in schools. Having said that, this is a large enough problem that it is actively noticed and
prompting intervention. With these numbers rising, food waste negatively impacts costs for the
community, carbon emissions, water use and more.
However, students in the public schools are not completely to blame, as some factors affect food waste
after the implementation of some lunch programs, which are targeted to increase encourage students to
reach their recommended adequate intake of nutrients, such as the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act of
2010 (Hakim, S., Meissen, G., 2017). Likewise, food serving methods have also played a role in the
amount of food wasted by students, by using the offer model and serve model approaches in
cafeterias. A non exclusive list of other issues affecting food waste in schools are: socioeconomic
status, accessibility of food at home, the time of day food is consumed, the amount of time given to
eat, student activity level, health limitations or

Evoloution of Polar Bears (Lamarck vs Darwin) Essay
The Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus) is a bear native largely within the Arctic Circle encircling the Arctic
Ocean, its surrounding seas and land masses. Although it is closely related to the Brown Bear, it has
evolved to occupy a narrower ecological forte, with many body characteristics adapted for cold
temperatures, for moving across snow, ice, and open water, and for hunting the seals which make up
most of its diet. Though there are many theories surrounding evolution, the two stand outstanding
hypotheses applying to the modification from Brown Bear to Polar Bear are Lamarck s theory of Use
and Disuse, and Darwin s theory of Natural Selection. The intention of this paper is to compare these

In 1977 a drought reduced the number of small seeds available for the birds, forcing them to rely on
larger seeds and nuts, which were difficult for birds with smaller beaks to open. The number of birds
unable to eat reduced as they died and gave way to harder beaked finches. Within a couple of
generations they had evolved larger beaks. In 2003 another drought struck the Galapagos and as there
were many large beaked finches, the food source of nuts dwindled, making the ability to eat smaller
seeds an asset. The numbers of larger beaked birds dwindled as food became scarce, leaving the
smaller birds to survive and reproduce. Darwin s theory was not well received when first written in On
the Origin of Species, though many scientists today use it as a basis for research in evolution.
Both theories suggest that a species changes over time to be able to better adapt to an environment.
Though Lamarck thought that the entire population of that species would evolve as one, i.e. all
offspring changes together with same adaptation. Darwin concluded that only the specimen with the
mutation or an altered version of a feature to evolve a species as they would be able to adapt and
survive easier than those without it, thus causing the unevolved to die off while the evolved lived.
Over many many generations the species keeps evolving until it has perfected the new trait, also

The Challenges Of A Entrepreneur And Start A Business
An entrepreneur is a natural born individual that can emerge and flourish anywhere, even in the
smallest country in the World such as Monaco. All it takes is an idea and a dream to turn it into an
opportunity. Entrepreneurs are not only limited to carry out a businesses at a domestic level, but also
international. Entrepreneurs are dynamic individuals that have the initiative to take risks and start up a
business, have the vision and objectives, and are the future of the economy.
I have interviewed a successful entrepreneur with an extensive knowledge and experience of
International business. She succeeds in her business due to her perseverance and extensive knowledge
of the industry. It was an amazing hearing about her success, determination and learning the concept
of her business. I have read chapters from our text and was involved in class discussions which I will
elaborate in more detail. In this paper I will further discuss the challenges and benefits on how to
become an entrepreneur and start a business.
Many people dream of becoming entrepreneurs someday. It made me realize there are factors to be
considered. We need to ask ourselves are we ready to take the challenge to the outside world. Not
everyone has the vision, innovation and creativity to become an entrepreneur. The person must have a
positive attitude and accept the responsibility, have the discipline to meet their goals, and take action
when the opportunity presents itself. Many prefer a job

The Munich Agreement And The Anglo German Declaration
For some European powers at the time, The Munich Agreement and the Anglo German Declaration
was considered to have achieved a peace that was thought to be unconceivable. Unfortunately, the
great claims of Neville Chamberlain did not come true. These agreements only delayed the inevitable
between the great European powers and allowed Hitler to gather more territory with relative ease. This
document between the powers of Germany, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom outlined the terms
and conditions under which Germany would annex a large portion of Czechoslovakia. Throughout this
text, the historical context and significance of the Munich Agreement will be analyzed. The Munich
Agreement was produced in hopes to stop Hitler; he was threatening to unleash war upon Europe if he
did not get the Sudetenland. With Hitler s tyrannical pleas, the leaders of Britain, France, and Italy
agreed to the annexation of a large portion of Czechoslovakia out of fear of war (Munich Agreement).
It is important to note that Italy was an ally of Germany. Benito Mussolini, Italy s leader at the time,
was one of Hitler s greatest inspirations during his rise to power. Germany, Italy, Britain, and France
all came together in Munich, Germany to hold a conference to discuss Hitler s tyrannical demands.
The agreement was signed on September 29th, 1938 and it formally allowed for Germany s
annexation of the Sudetenland (Munich Agreement). The agreement came at a time where Europe

Jainism Vs Buddhism Research Paper
Jainism and Buddhism originated as orders of monks that surfaced as a result of a rebellion against
Brahmanism. Consequently, they have some residual similarities. The two factions arose between the
7th and 5th B.C. when the religious teachers rejected the entire Vedic teachings. Among the many
teachings that emerged at that time, Buddhism and Jainism were the most prolific and garnered the
most followers. However, despite their similar origins, they have differences that make each religion
distinct from the other. According to Fisher, Jainism believes that all our knowledge is relative,
conditional and partial. This relativity idea similar to the Buddhist doctrine of Dependent Origination,
which points out that all things have a relative ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By practicing yoga, the person becomes the universe, assuming the non dualistic and undifferentiated
state that existed before Indra. This state is called Nirvana or extinguishing from self in Buddhism and
Moksha or release in Jainism. In Jainism, a person in this state loses its identity and becomes freed
from the cycle of life and death. On the other hand, in Buddhism, it is the freedom from the cycle of
rebirth. The being loses its identity and become nothing. Although both Buddhism and Jainism value
life and do not advocate for taking life, Jainism has stricter rules. As opposed to Jainism, Buddhism
does not have rules against harming plants and n=animals, and it also does not consider earth and
water as living. The primary philosophy of Jainism is the concept of ahismsa or no violence (Fisher
125). Both religions understate the role of gods in people s life but instead focus on the responsibility
of an individual to create his fate as seen by the concept of karma and rebirth. These ideas were meant
to increase the emphasis on individual action as opposed to Hinduism where God plays a critical role
in a person s life and destiny. They have similarities concerning the existence of god and his nature,
nirvana, yoga, and karma. However, the differences arise in their ideas of transmigration of souls, the
extent of nonviolence and the concept of the

Grand Nursing Theory Paper
From the beginning of time, great emphasis has been placed on a need for care due to illness and
disease. In the past, medical knowledge in nursing guided and provided the greatest direction for
practice. It was not until the 1960 s when Dr. Madeleine Leininger felt there was a need of shift from
biomedicine toward integrating culturally sensitive care within the profession of nursing. The goal of
the theory has been to use research findings to provide culture specific care that would be culturally
congruent, safe, and beneficial to people of diverse or similar cultures for their health, wellbeing, and
healing, and to help face disability and death (McFarland, Wehbe Alamah, 2015, p. 6). Utilizing the
seven chosen criteria listed in Willis (2002, pp.119 122) Overview of Grand Nursing Theories,
including the contemporary social, political, and economic realities, I will be describing and analyzing
Madeleine M. Leininger s Theory of Culture Care Diversity and Universality. I will also discuss how
Leininger s theory guides my personal practice, potential barriers that may arise while using this
theory, and strategies to facilitate the use of the theory.
Analysis
Background of the theorist

nursing based degree and master s degree (Parker, 2006, p. 309). Her theoretical perspective arose

The Scalpel and the Silver Bear Essay
The Scalpel and the Silver Bear
The Navajo creation story explains that medicine was brought to the people by an ancient owl. This
owl sent down a magic bundle containing the powers of healing to the new world. For thousands of
years Navajo people have used this knowledge to heal and live in harmony with each other. As a
product of two worlds, Dr. Lori Alvord was one of the first people to combine modern medicine with
Navajo beliefs by overcoming cultural differences. The Scalpel and the Silver Bear follows Lori

The culture conflicts that plague Alvord throughout her life start from the day she was born. She was
literally born out of two worlds: her mother was white, while her father was a full blooded Navajo.
Her identity was split in between cultures. In Navajo she would be called an alni meaning a person
who is half. Her identity is very much affected by language so when she is labeled as an alni and
consequently accepted by neither whites nor Navajos. She was rarely invited to play with the Navajo
girls her age and faced racial prejudice from non Navajos. Early in life she learned, to be Navajo
meant to be downtrodden and broken, treated like a lesser human being by white people. Unlike
Richard Rodriguez who wished to be white, she was ashamed of her Caucasian maternity and longed
to be a full blooded Navajo.
The difference in the two cultures became even more apparent when she left the Navajo Nation to
study at Dartmouth and then later at Stanford. Alvord explains every Navajo was strongly discouraged
from drawing attention to him or herself and was taught very early on to be modest and not to boast.
This becomes very problematic for her in classes where she is expected to participate and be
competitive. In Navajo culture it is even considered rude to look someone in the eyes. So, Alvord
would sit in class, staring down at her desk, trying to make herself invisible. Many of her teachers
took her avoidance and lack of

s, that shaped America s identity as well. The Monroe Doctrine stopped interference between America
and European powers. It caused America to break away from Britain and become more independent.
People believed that it would be best if America seperated it s ties with Britain, as that would help the
country. America s ideals started to change, and the identity was shaped with it. That claim is proven

St. Francis s Basic Social Services Essay
Since 1984 Saint Francis has offered basic social services that potentially save the lives of several. As
the organization itself says, Saint Francis house s main mission is to rebuild lives by providing refuge
and pathways to stability for adults experiencing homelessness and poverty (Saint Francis House 1).
They do this by providing several services. Their services include: Food, daytime shelter, clothing,
showers and toiletries, and mail ID services. Going over the services in more depth, the food
department makes sure each homeless person is fed. They serve breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.,
and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the first floor dining area every day. Additionally, they provide
back up food / emergency sandwiches at 2:45 am for anyone that may need it at night. Just over the
last year they served 220,000 meals, showing the impact it has within the people they serve in Boston.
Moreover, the clothing distribution center, rather Fresh Threads focuses on being a center for clothing
items. Here, the person can register for an appointment where they can get dressed from head to toe.
They can receive an outfit, outerwear, footwear, accessories or any other seasonal item. Additionally,
the day center offers a shower, toothbrush and toiletries items to those that need it, and establishing an
email or mail system offers a secure and safe place for the homeless to receive mail for whatever
reason. Interestingly, a personal favorite activity here is

Erich Fromm
Erich Fromm in his novel To Have Or To Be argues that there are two forms of existence: having and
becoming. He believes that modern society is dominated by the to have mode, which is as a soul less
and selfish pursuit of material possessions. He also argues that neither capitalism nor communism
offer a way out of society s obsession with having because both economic systems have a materialistic
foundation. Therefore, Fromm attempted to synthesize capitalism and Marxist humanism to form a
society based on becoming. Fromm defined becoming as the mode of existence in which one neither
has anything nor craves to have something, but is joyous, employs one s faculties productively, is oned
to the world (16). The main difference between being ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the poem Tennyson describes the reaction he had toward a flower he saw while taking a walk.
Instead of merely enjoying its beauty he wanted to have the flower and thus he plucked it. Tennyson,
even though he gained spiritual insight, ultimately killed the flower because of his interest in it.
Fromm s thesis is that society in its having mode of existence destroys the natural world in its pursuit
for knowledge and truth (plucking the flower). For example, scientists dismember natural systems to
understand their function and origin. Scientists may gain knowledge, but at the price of killing or
damaging the system they were observing. Overconsumption and pollution will always be a problem
for as long as mankind view the natural world as something to have or to own. An antithesis to Fromm
s assertion is that interfering with the natural world does not harm it (or plucking the flower will not
kill it). God created the world for mankind thus mankind can do with it as they please. I offer a
synthesis of both philosophies by suggesting that a passive appreciation of nature is good and is
needed, but manipulating nature is also needed for scientific advancement. However, science must not
be in the having mode, but rather it must be humble to avoid overconsumption and eventual
catastrophe. The purpose of science is to learn and to become better citizens of the world (or to
become one with the world). However,

Marriages of Today and Elizabethan Times are Significant...
Elizabethan Weddings and Marriages Just as today a woman s wedding was one of the most important
days of her life (William Shakespeare info). During the Elizabethan Era, most marriages were
arranged, and some couples would be introduced to each other on their wedding day itself! (William
Shakespeare info) Many of times marriages were done so that both families could benefit in some
way, such as status or wealth ( Linda Alchin). Even though there are some differences from then to
now, weddings today have some of the same aspects as Elizabethan weddings did, because a wedding
is still one of the biggest days of a person s life. There were many customs, preparations, and
important ceremonies done during these times, and some of them are ... Show more content on

The families always presented all their dishes as beautiful as possible (Elizabethan Marriages and
Weddings Document), The staple drink of the Elizabethans was ale, because water was unclean, but
wine was also available and would have been ordered for the feast (William Shakespeare info). The
customs of an Elizabethan wedding were taken with care and made sure they were always done
exactly right. The preparations taken for an Elizabethan wedding were set in stone almost, because
these steps were crucial in making sure everything was ready for the couple. Before a marriage was
arranged or not people had to take into account the age of consent, which was twenty one (William
Shakespeare info). However, with parental permission girls could marry at twelve and boys at
fourteen, however this wasn t extremely common (William Shakespeare info). After a couple was
engaged, the next step was the betrothal. A betrothal was where a couple would join hands and the
man would give his fiancé a ring to be worn on the right hand. At the wedding the ring would be
switched to the left ring finger. After all this, the couple would seal their betrothal with a kiss, and then
sign their wedding contract (Maggi Ros). A wedding contract was much like a marriage license that
we have today. Sometimes a couple would have to get married hastily and would just sign

Hplc Analysis of Capsaicin Essay
HPLC Analysis of Capsaicin Eric Sorenson Work Completed on 11/28/12 Quantitative analysis of
Capsaicin was analyzed in three peppers that were expected to differ greatly in their capsaicin content
and thus their relative spiciness. The idea was to have a nice range of capsaicin concentrations to
clearly reflect the subjective pain one experiences from biting into a chili. Fresh Habanero, Jalapeno
and Red Bell Pepper were purchased from the local Family Fresh grocery store to be analyzed via
HPLC. This capsaicin project consisted of three stages to ensure proper and accurate analysis. The
first stage was the preparation of the three samples for injection into the HPLC. One gram of fine
powder of each pepper was obtained by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
UV lamp detector set at 215 nm. Injection volume of 20 µL and a flow rate of 2.0 mL/min. The total
run time was eight minutes. Solvent A consisted of 100% water with 0.1% TFA. Solvent B was a 80%
ACN/20% water solution with 0.1% TFA. A gradient elution was programmed for 20% to 100%
solvent B in five minutes then return to 20% solvent B for the last three minutes. The last stage of the
project was the actual sample analysis. The HPLC was programmed to run a reinjection of the
calibration standard, a reinjection of the blank, then two injections of each sample A, B and C
respectively under the same conditions as described above. Once the chromatograms were obtained
and assistance from Dr. Marchand was needed in order to identify significant peaks. Calculations were
then done on all three samples to quantitate the amount of capsaicin in each pepper. See calculations
page. The concentration of capsaicin in the habanero pepper was calculated to be 207 µg of capsaicin
per gram of pepper. Jalapeno was 70.9 µg of capsaicin per gram of pepper and red bell pepper was
8.033 µg of capsaicin per gram of pepper. The results of this analysis seemed to live up to my
expectations and what I wanted to demonstrate by analyzing three different peppers spanning a wide
range of capsaicin content. Habanero peppers are notoriously known for their high scoville heat value
and usually one plump habanero pepper

Why Vaccination Should Be Mandatory
Why Vaccines Should be Required to Attend School
Nundi Hall Travis
GND 1015: First Year Seminar

Why Vaccines Should be Required to Attend School
Ever since the invention of the first smallpox vaccine more than two centuries ago, there has been
plenty of controversy over the morality, ethics, effectiveness, and safety of vaccination and
immunization. It has recently been argued whether laws should be introduced that render some or all
vaccines obligatory for all children (Singer). Parents, health care specialists, nurses, teachers and
children all have an important stake in this issue. Parents argue that it is they who should have the
ultimate decision making right on whether or not to vaccinate their children. Nurses and health care
officials oppose that view on the grounds that by making vaccination rates in children incomplete, we
expose all children to contracting the vaccine preventable diseases. If this is a risk some parents are
willing to take, but others face unwillingly, there is obviously a propitious platform for debate. It is in
fact irresponsible and a violation of good citizen when parents oppose vaccinating their children. It is
important to unify certain rules related to vaccination and not make it the prerogative of a particular
public or private school to decide whether or not to accept an unvaccinated child. It would only be
right to end all debate by passing a binding country wide law to make certain vaccines (against

Fairy Tales, Like Any Other Medium, Must Be Updated And
Fairy tales, like any other medium, must be updated and revised in order to remain appealing to its
audience as time goes on. Some fairy tale revisions are heavily criticized for deviating from the
original text so much that they no longer feel the same or offer the same messages. Whether or not a
revision is successful is entirely a matter of personal opinion. In my opinion, a revision does not have
to follow the same plot as the original text as long as it is able to keep the moral intact. For me, a
revision is successful when it modernizes the tale to be more relatable to people in modern day
society, and/or sheds new light back on the original text. It is unsuccessful when the overall message is
changed to something that may be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He does not state whether the step sisters are attractive or ugly, only that Cinderella is prettier than
them. This is important because it offers the message that appearances do not matter, but how
someone treats others does matter. This is a message that parents often try to instill in their children
nowadays, so it is nice to have a story that offers the same message. The second reason why I consider
this version to be successful is because it offers a positive message to the audience. This version of the
tale contains a message of forgiveness. This message is evident in the text at the end of the story
where it says Cinderella raised them up, and kissed them, and forgave them with all her heart, and
asked them to love her always. (Perrault 15) This element is important because it proves that
Cinderella is truly genuine. Cinderella demonstrates her genuine kindness by choosing to forgive her
step sisters even when she comes to be in a position of power where she could get revenge. I find this
to be an important part to the story because there is no better lesson to teach to children and young
adults than the lesson of being genuine and forgiving. Finally, the last reason why I consider this
version to be a phenomenal example of a successful Cinderella story is because the author made sure
to include that Cinderella thanked

Relationship Between The Cold War And Global White Supremacy
The relationship between the Cold War and global white supremacy is clear from Borstelmann s
writing. He demonstrates how the improvement of race relations both domestic and foreign were a
necessity. If the U.S. did not fix how potential allies (specifically all post colonial countries) viewed
the U.S., communism was sure to spread. Although Latham does not identify race as a reason for
modernization both Latham and Borstelmann show that Aligning with these posts countries was
necessary to prevent communism from becoming the primary economic system across the globe.
Although Americas primary agenda was to put a cease to the ascension of Communism during the
Cold War; results of such efforts lead to a decline in global white supremacy through empowering
local leaders, changing legislation, and an increase in economic opportunities for minorities. Although
modernization was not perfect there were many countries that benefited from U.S. help. In fact
countries such as India, Ghana, and Egypt embraced the help of the U.S. America s assistance. With
all three countries U.S. s support in empowering their economic growth was successful. Although
modernizations was to help these underdeveloped countries the primary gaol of the U.S. is to decimate
the prevalence of communism. American policy makers for foreign affairs viewed many postcolonial
leaders as politically immature and unprepared for self determination, they exercised little restraint in
trying to undermine governments

Here at first we should have plan to direct marketing because it will ensure us that this particular
quantity of our final product will have to sell, according to that we can decrease our risk factor
otherwise we can t depend on retail market.
Here other important factor is transporting cost. It also affects our selling price, so we should have
already plan to our direct marketing on distance basis. Sometimes big company wants more products
in that condition it would be negotiable.
Sometimes company does agreements of final product purchasing where agreements can be on
quantity basis or timely basis (like different quantity on different month), so it will be also profitable
for us that for particular period we are ensure that this much our final product will sell, according to
that we can manage our production cost.
There are two different options for final product marketing.
(1) First one is that if you have good relation in local markets and ensure about personal sufficient
selling of final product through local market or dealers, which can be a good deal for you here you can
manage your selling price in terms of transportation cost.
(2) Second one is that if you have good agreements from big company on quantity basis or timely
basis at suitable price, then here you can compromise with your transportation cost

The Culture Of The Italian Cuisine
Ethan Smith
Professor Piazza
Italian 21
9 December 2016
Cucina Italiano In the early history of many countries, food always plays an important part in the
development of the country and the economy as well. From starting out simple, the recipes evolve and
spread after being handed down and spoken to others. Food is what defines many cultures, and is able
to bring many people together in many cases. For example, food is what stands a major tradition in
many families, recipes being a secret between the members. This is one way that it plays in
importance in cultures. Italian culture differs from other cultures because the food plays a much more
important part. Italian cuisine has influenced many parts of their own culture, and other cultures
around the world. Food has always played a major part in three major aspects of Italian culture:
history, symbolism, and art.
The history of Italian cuisine revolves around the evolution of what people were compelled to eat
throughout the ages. Once, food was thought to be little more than macaroni or noodles in the Italian
Peninsula. Many factors are considered in the study in the history of cuisine, such as the location,
climate of the area, the cooking methods of that time, religious practices, etc.. Angelo Camillo, a
professor at Woodbury University, explains in his book, An Explorative Study of the Historical
Development and Trend Analysis of Restaurant Cuisine, that The history and evolution of Italian
cuisine has...played the

Ctx And Osteoporosis
CTX and NTX are collagen degradation products from the C terminal and N terminal regions on the
cross links in type 1 collagen (Kujath 2011). The CTX consists of two isomeric forms, the native
(αCTX) and the age related (ß CTX) (Chopin et al. 2012; Seibel 2005). Bone resorption by osteoclasts
is overwhelmingly a cathepsin K driven process and metalloproteinase play an important but small
role in the resorption process; Only cathepsin K produces CTX and NTX fragments whereas only
metalloproteinase produce ICTP fragments (Rissanen 2013). This is a measure of the breakdown of
bone. Serum and urine CTX and NTX levels are markedly increased in patients with postmenopausal
osteoporosis, whereas ICTP seems to be more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

and is mainly due to estrogen deficiency resulting from menopause, and (b) type II osteoporosis (also
referred to as age related osteoporosis or senile osteoporosis), which is related mainly with aging in
both women and men (Feng and Mcdonald 2011). Women are more susceptible to osteoporosis than
men ( Al Daghri et al. 2014). since postmenopausal women are affected by both factors of the lack of
estrogen and later aging, they become the major sufferers in bone loss and result in much higher
incidence of osteoporosis (Liong 2009). The most common type of osteoporosis is postmenopausal

Solar is renewable but expensive. Natural gas is cheap but damages the environment. Nuclear has a large power generating capacity but is dangerous and coal abundant and cheap but is just too dirty. What if there was a fifth type of fuel? A so called invisible fuel. The cheapest and cleanest energy choice that is often over looked, efficiency. An article in The Economist by Chris Madden reviews and discusses this invisible fuel at length. The article begins by discussing the strives that have been made regarding efficiency since the 1970 s but mentions that there is still significant improvements that can be made. It mentions a report by the American Energy Efficiency Group that reviews the cost of saving a kilowatt hour vs the cost of producing a kilowatt hour. The report states that in some cases saving a kilowatt hour can cost as low as one sixth of a cent. According to the article, the single largest chunk of energy consumption is in the heating and cooling of buildings. This amounts to 31% of total final energy consumption. It mentions a man named Mr. Liebreich who had difficulty findings builders who were skilled in energy savings techniques. He had to follow them around to ensure they were properly taping the insulating boards and follow other energy saving techniques. Mr. Liebreich is not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Character Analysis Of King Henry V King Henry is one of the most successful kings of England. He brought two warring kingdoms crashing together, and melded them into one united country. Henry is an extremely interesting and dynamic character. From a young age he associated with criminals, drunkards, and other lowly citizens. When his father was on his deathbed, he requested that Henry stopped being a criminal, and begin acting like a king. Henry made that oath, and stayed true to it until his dying day. As a king, he became a king after being a criminal. He went from a criminal prince to an upstanding kind king who understands justice and follows the righteous path for the rest of his life. It is such a crazy transformation; from criminal hiding crimes from the king to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Directly after that event, he judges three people to death for attempting treason. Reasons like this are the reason Henry progresses the story as the main protagonist. He is the main driving force that is pushing the plotline forward. Every time he is in a scene he enhances it, and brings the act more color and flare. While Henry does adapt his ways often, he doesn t always change. One of the examples of him sticking to old ways is how he is a religious man. Early in the story, he listens to the Archbishop, and starts this war because of him. The Archbishop is the prophet of god, which correlates with being a pious person. The English win the Battle of Agincourt in an astounding manner; only losing less than 30 men while the French lost 10,000 men. He decides the reason behind them winning the battle God s will. Another example of this is his choice to end people s lives. Henry V is a man of God, which is again shown on the eve of the Battle of Agincourt when he is talking with his men. One of his men wishes they had more men fighting, yet Henry wishes the opposite. If God has chosen them to lose this battle then more men would die. On the other hand, if God had chosen them to win, extra men wouldn t be needed, so they can use those extra men to suppress the Scottish rebellion. Henry doesn t blame always blame the innocents for others crimes either. There is an example in which Henry V has no quarrel with the innocent. The time arrives when ... A Lady of Letters and Cream Cracker under the Settee by Alan Bennett The two monologues I am going to be writing about are two elderly women who are lonely and trapped in their own homes. They don t seem to have any special friends. For example, Irene doesn t like being people calling her Irene. Irene and Doris also have some things in common. They both have lost loved ones in their lives. This is an important story line in both monologues, as I will explain later on. The music in these monologues feels the emotions of what the characters are feeling. When there is a scene where Doris or Irene is happy, the music will go along with the expressions. I could tell when the topic came up on the loved lost ones it was a very dramatic time for Irene and Doris. The music drained out the room with a slow deep beat of a bellow. This makes the monologues more realistic with the different types and style of music, and with the pauses where no music is played at all. Cream cracker under the settee and lady of letters are both set in houses. Which are very stereotypical houses for the elderly, with the dull colours, except in these houses they have horrible bars on their windows that couldn t make Doris and Irene feel very comfortable. There are a number of things I could write for Doris and Irene, imprisonment, lack and loss and the endings of the monologues. But I have chosen to go in deeply about the loneliness and how it has affected them. I feel that this topic is one of the main structures of the monologues. IRENE Starting with ... • 5. The Factors Of Food Waste In Public Schools Growing research shows steady increase in food waste throughout the globe. One largely contributing factor is food waste produced from the public schools. The amount of food wasted in schools, according to the USDA, has ranged between 10 37% of calories served (Buzby, J., Guthrie, J., 2002). It is difficult to compare public school waste to global amounts due to the scarcity of specific data this would depend on region, economic status and additional factors associated with how and why food is wasted in schools. Having said that, this is a large enough problem that it is actively noticed and prompting intervention. With these numbers rising, food waste negatively impacts costs for the community, carbon emissions, water use and more. However, students in the public schools are not completely to blame, as some factors affect food waste after the implementation of some lunch programs, which are targeted to increase encourage students to reach their recommended adequate intake of nutrients, such as the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010 (Hakim, S., Meissen, G., 2017). Likewise, food serving methods have also played a role in the amount of food wasted by students, by using the offer model and serve model approaches in cafeterias. A non exclusive list of other issues affecting food waste in schools are: socioeconomic status, accessibility of food at home, the time of day food is consumed, the amount of time given to eat, student activity level, health limitations or ... In 1977 a drought reduced the number of small seeds available for the birds, forcing them to rely on larger seeds and nuts, which were difficult for birds with smaller beaks to open. The number of birds unable to eat reduced as they died and gave way to harder beaked finches. Within a couple of generations they had evolved larger beaks. In 2003 another drought struck the Galapagos and as there were many large beaked finches, the food source of nuts dwindled, making the ability to eat smaller seeds an asset. The numbers of larger beaked birds dwindled as food became scarce, leaving the smaller birds to survive and reproduce. Darwin s theory was not well received when first written in On the Origin of Species, though many scientists today use it as a basis for research in evolution. Both theories suggest that a species changes over time to be able to better adapt to an environment. Though Lamarck thought that the entire population of that species would evolve as one, i.e. all offspring changes together with same adaptation. Darwin concluded that only the specimen with the mutation or an altered version of a feature to evolve a species as they would be able to adapt and survive easier than those without it, thus causing the unevolved to die off while the evolved lived. Over many many generations the species keeps evolving until it has perfected the new trait, also becoming a new ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This document between the powers of Germany, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom outlined the terms and conditions under which Germany would annex a large portion of Czechoslovakia. Throughout this text, the historical context and significance of the Munich Agreement will be analyzed. The Munich Agreement was produced in hopes to stop Hitler; he was threatening to unleash war upon Europe if he did not get the Sudetenland. In the past, medical knowledge in nursing guided and provided the greatest direction for practice. It was not until the 1960 s when Dr. Madeleine Leininger felt there was a need of shift from biomedicine toward integrating culturally sensitive care within the profession of nursing. The goal of the theory has been to use research findings to provide culture specific care that would be culturally congruent, safe, and beneficial to people of diverse or similar cultures for their health, wellbeing, and healing, and to help face disability and death (McFarland, Wehbe Alamah, 2015, p. 6). • 24. Erich Fromm Erich Fromm in his novel To Have Or To Be argues that there are two forms of existence: having and becoming. He believes that modern society is dominated by the to have mode, which is as a soul less and selfish pursuit of material possessions. He also argues that neither capitalism nor communism offer a way out of society s obsession with having because both economic systems have a materialistic foundation. Therefore, Fromm attempted to synthesize capitalism and Marxist humanism to form a society based on becoming. Fromm defined becoming as the mode of existence in which one neither has anything nor craves to have something, but is joyous, employs one s faculties productively, is oned to the world (16). The main difference between being ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the poem Tennyson describes the reaction he had toward a flower he saw while taking a walk. Instead of merely enjoying its beauty he wanted to have the flower and thus he plucked it. Tennyson, even though he gained spiritual insight, ultimately killed the flower because of his interest in it. Fromm s thesis is that society in its having mode of existence destroys the natural world in its pursuit for knowledge and truth (plucking the flower). For example, scientists dismember natural systems to understand their function and origin. Scientists may gain knowledge, but at the price of killing or damaging the system they were observing. Overconsumption and pollution will always be a problem for as long as mankind view the natural world as something to have or to own. An antithesis to Fromm s assertion is that interfering with the natural world does not harm it (or plucking the flower will not kill it). God created the world for mankind thus mankind can do with it as they please. I offer a synthesis of both philosophies by suggesting that a passive appreciation of nature is good and is needed, but manipulating nature is also needed for scientific advancement. However, science must not be in the having mode, but rather it must be humble to avoid overconsumption and eventual catastrophe. The purpose of science is to learn and to become better citizens of the world (or to become one with the world). However, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 25. Marriages of Today and Elizabethan Times are Significant... Elizabethan Weddings and Marriages Just as today a woman s wedding was one of the most important days of her life (William Shakespeare info). During the Elizabethan Era, most marriages were arranged, and some couples would be introduced to each other on their wedding day itself! (William Shakespeare info) Many of times marriages were done so that both families could benefit in some way, such as status or wealth ( Linda Alchin). Even though there are some differences from then to now, weddings today have some of the same aspects as Elizabethan weddings did, because a wedding is still one of the biggest days of a person s life. There were many customs, preparations, and important ceremonies done during these times, and some of them are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The families always presented all their dishes as beautiful as possible (Elizabethan Marriages and Weddings Document), The staple drink of the Elizabethans was ale, because water was unclean, but wine was also available and would have been ordered for the feast (William Shakespeare info). The customs of an Elizabethan wedding were taken with care and made sure they were always done exactly right. The preparations taken for an Elizabethan wedding were set in stone almost, because these steps were crucial in making sure everything was ready for the couple. Before a marriage was arranged or not people had to take into account the age of consent, which was twenty one (William Shakespeare info). However, with parental permission girls could marry at twelve and boys at fourteen, however this wasn t extremely common (William Shakespeare info). After a couple was engaged, the next step was the betrothal. A betrothal was where a couple would join hands and the man would give his fiancé a ring to be worn on the right hand. At the wedding the ring would be switched to the left ring finger. After all this, the couple would seal their betrothal with a kiss, and then sign their wedding contract (Maggi Ros). A wedding contract was much like a marriage license that we have today. Sometimes a couple would have to get married hastily and would just sign ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 26. Hplc Analysis of Capsaicin Essay HPLC Analysis of Capsaicin Eric Sorenson Work Completed on 11/28/12 Quantitative analysis of Capsaicin was analyzed in three peppers that were expected to differ greatly in their capsaicin content and thus their relative spiciness. The idea was to have a nice range of capsaicin concentrations to clearly reflect the subjective pain one experiences from biting into a chili. Fresh Habanero, Jalapeno and Red Bell Pepper were purchased from the local Family Fresh grocery store to be analyzed via HPLC. This capsaicin project consisted of three stages to ensure proper and accurate analysis. The first stage was the preparation of the three samples for injection into the HPLC. One gram of fine powder of each pepper was obtained by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... UV lamp detector set at 215 nm. Injection volume of 20 µL and a flow rate of 2.0 mL/min. The total run time was eight minutes. Solvent A consisted of 100% water with 0.1% TFA. Solvent B was a 80% ACN/20% water solution with 0.1% TFA. A gradient elution was programmed for 20% to 100% solvent B in five minutes then return to 20% solvent B for the last three minutes. The last stage of the project was the actual sample analysis. The HPLC was programmed to run a reinjection of the calibration standard, a reinjection of the blank, then two injections of each sample A, B and C respectively under the same conditions as described above. Once the chromatograms were obtained and assistance from Dr. Marchand was needed in order to identify significant peaks. Calculations were then done on all three samples to quantitate the amount of capsaicin in each pepper. See calculations page. The concentration of capsaicin in the habanero pepper was calculated to be 207 µg of capsaicin per gram of pepper. Jalapeno was 70.9 µg of capsaicin per gram of pepper and red bell pepper was 8.033 µg of capsaicin per gram of pepper. The results of this analysis seemed to live up to my expectations and what I wanted to demonstrate by analyzing three different peppers spanning a wide range of capsaicin content. • 27. Why Vaccination Should Be Mandatory Why Vaccines Should be Required to Attend School Nundi Hall Travis GND 1015: First Year Seminar November 21, 2015 Why Vaccines Should be Required to Attend School Ever since the invention of the first smallpox vaccine more than two centuries ago, there has been plenty of controversy over the morality, ethics, effectiveness, and safety of vaccination and immunization. It has recently been argued whether laws should be introduced that render some or all vaccines obligatory for all children (Singer). Parents, health care specialists, nurses, teachers and children all have an important stake in this issue. Parents argue that it is they who should have the ultimate decision making right on whether or not to vaccinate their children. Nurses and health care officials oppose that view on the grounds that by making vaccination rates in children incomplete, we expose all children to contracting the vaccine preventable diseases. If this is a risk some parents are willing to take, but others face unwillingly, there is obviously a propitious platform for debate. It is in fact irresponsible and a violation of good citizen when parents oppose vaccinating their children. It is important to unify certain rules related to vaccination and not make it the prerogative of a particular public or private school to decide whether or not to accept an unvaccinated child. It would only be right to end all debate by passing a binding country wide law to make certain vaccines (against ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Fairy Tales, Like Any Other Medium, Must Be Updated And Fairy tales, like any other medium, must be updated and revised in order to remain appealing to its audience as time goes on. Some fairy tale revisions are heavily criticized for deviating from the original text so much that they no longer feel the same or offer the same messages. Whether or not a revision is successful is entirely a matter of personal opinion. In my opinion, a revision does not have to follow the same plot as the original text as long as it is able to keep the moral intact. For me, a revision is successful when it modernizes the tale to be more relatable to people in modern day society, and/or sheds new light back on the original text. It is unsuccessful when the overall message is changed to something that may be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He does not state whether the step sisters are attractive or ugly, only that Cinderella is prettier than them. This is important because it offers the message that appearances do not matter, but how someone treats others does matter. This is a message that parents often try to instill in their children nowadays, so it is nice to have a story that offers the same message. The second reason why I consider this version to be successful is because it offers a positive message to the audience. This version of the tale contains a message of forgiveness. This message is evident in the text at the end of the story where it says Cinderella raised them up, and kissed them, and forgave them with all her heart, and asked them to love her always. (Perrault 15) This element is important because it proves that Cinderella is truly genuine. Cinderella demonstrates her genuine kindness by choosing to forgive her step sisters even when she comes to be in a position of power where she could get revenge. I find this to be an important part to the story because there is no better lesson to teach to children and young adults than the lesson of being genuine and forgiving. Finally, the last reason why I consider this version to be a phenomenal example of a successful Cinderella story is because the author made sure to include that Cinderella thanked ... • 29. Relationship Between The Cold War And Global White Supremacy The relationship between the Cold War and global white supremacy is clear from Borstelmann s writing. He demonstrates how the improvement of race relations both domestic and foreign were a necessity. If the U.S. did not fix how potential allies (specifically all post colonial countries) viewed the U.S., communism was sure to spread. Although Latham does not identify race as a reason for modernization both Latham and Borstelmann show that Aligning with these posts countries was necessary to prevent communism from becoming the primary economic system across the globe. Although Americas primary agenda was to put a cease to the ascension of Communism during the Cold War; results of such efforts lead to a decline in global white supremacy through empowering local leaders, changing legislation, and an increase in economic opportunities for minorities. Although modernization was not perfect there were many countries that benefited from U.S. help. In fact countries such as India, Ghana, and Egypt embraced the help of the U.S. America s assistance. With all three countries U.S. s support in empowering their economic growth was successful. Although modernizations was to help these underdeveloped countries the primary gaol of the U.S. is to decimate the prevalence of communism. American policy makers for foreign affairs viewed many postcolonial leaders as politically immature and unprepared for self determination, they exercised little restraint in trying to undermine governments ... • 31. The Culture Of The Italian Cuisine Ethan Smith Professor Piazza Italian 21 9 December 2016 Cucina Italiano In the early history of many countries, food always plays an important part in the development of the country and the economy as well. From starting out simple, the recipes evolve and spread after being handed down and spoken to others. Food is what defines many cultures, and is able to bring many people together in many cases. For example, food is what stands a major tradition in many families, recipes being a secret between the members. This is one way that it plays in importance in cultures. Italian culture differs from other cultures because the food plays a much more important part. Italian cuisine has influenced many parts of their own culture, and other cultures around the world. Food has always played a major part in three major aspects of Italian culture: history, symbolism, and art. The history of Italian cuisine revolves around the evolution of what people were compelled to eat throughout the ages. Once, food was thought to be little more than macaroni or noodles in the Italian Peninsula. Many factors are considered in the study in the history of cuisine, such as the location, climate of the area, the cooking methods of that time, religious practices, etc.. The CTX consists of two isomeric forms, the native (αCTX) and the age related (ß CTX) (Chopin et al. 2012; Seibel 2005). Bone resorption by osteoclasts is overwhelmingly a cathepsin K driven process and metalloproteinase play an important but small role in the resorption process; Only cathepsin K produces CTX and NTX fragments whereas only metalloproteinase produce ICTP fragments (Rissanen 2013).
