One character that is admirable in the movie Thor directed by Kenneth Branagh (2011) was Thor.

because he is selfless, determined and strong.

Thinking about which country and culture to choose for this assignment was a difficult process
because there is a plethora to choose from! I decided to choose Spain as I lived there for a short period
of time. Spain, is a country located in western Europe and is bordered by Portugal, France, and
Gibraltar. It lies between the Mediterranean Sea to its east and the North Atlantic Ocean to its west.
When trying to understand a culture from a foreign perspective, it is important to analyze the
geography that makes up that country.
Spain s geography is unique because it is located on the Iberian Peninsula with mountainous terrain
throughout the landmass. The central portion of Spain mostly consists of high plateaus of land
surround by rocky hills. Integrated into these plateaus are rural farm and cattle lands that create much

however, the crops that produce the most value consist of citrus fruits such as oranges. The climate of

female form through abstract sculpture specifically, in the round, free standing sculptures. Both

To be honest, I ve only experienced blatant racism once in my life. I was in 7th grade, and I was

Optimism is an emotion that inspires hopefulness and confidence about the future. Optimism propels
people and novels forward. Optimism is a driving force in the novel Lord of The Flies by William
Golding and the novel The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. In the novel Lord of the Flies ,one of the
most important emotions is optimism. Without optimism the boys would have no hope that they would
make it off the island. At the start of the novel things are not going the boys way, their plane crashes in
the middle of nowhere and they do not know what to do. The boys are in a state of chaos and they

disorder. According to the DSM 5 , this disorder is the fear of separation from attachment figures to a

attachment figure. The plot revolves around the narrator waiting for her boyfriend s call. Patients with
separation anxiety disorder are frightened of not being in close contact to their loved one. These
people are overwhelmed when the person is gone, since they provide hope and joy. The phone call
acts as a stress reliever, a way for the protagonist to feel more secured. Once her stress reliever doesn t
work, Darling goes to God, accusing him for making her feel this way. She exclaims, You don t know

It s difficult to say whether citizens are more likely to be influenced more by the news they receive on
either social media or on television. A lot of the younger generations are likely to say social media is
more influential, whilst many of the older generations who aren t as, or at all active on social media

breaking bonds and forming new bonds and therefore creating a new substance. In a Physical change

evidence to prove a chemical change is occurring we need a change in the indicators. The more active
a chemical is the more likely it will have a chemical reaction with another chemical. (Dickinson et al.
180) The higher the element is on the Activity Series the more reactive it is. (Dickinson et al. 192) A
reactive element will replace an element that is underneath it in the activity series. (Dickinson et al.
192) In this lab we will examine chemical reactions with the activity series, indicators and the type of
chemical reaction it is. The purpose of this lab is to study chemical change and analyze why and how
chemical reactions are created. In this lab we are going to combine certain chemicals with each other
to create a chemical change and we will observe and record any changes. The chemical reactions
listed in the Results had all gone through chemical change and all the indicators have been recorded.
Chemical change is very important and we need to learn more about them because without chemical

kid that was in love with charming words. After the death of Tennyson s friend Arthur Hallam dies, it
gives Tennyson motivation to write several poems relating his death, including Ulysses. The loss of
Hallam, recently engaged to marry Tennyson s sister Cecilia, dealt a serious blow to Tennyson. He
soon drafted Ulysses, Morte d Arthur and Tithonus three poems prompted by the death, but all with
strong classical echoes that spoke to his expressly modern and personal sentiments (Vella). Ulysses is
a story about a famous hero named Ulysses but in this story of Tennyson s, it s about the years later of
Ulysses life, not his hero faze. In Ulysses by Alfred Lord Tennyson represented three messages of
living life to the fullest, There is always something new to learn, and to never give up. The first
message in Tennyson s Ulysses is living life to the fullest. Tennyson explains Ulysses after life saying

Upon reading both Hasker and the Star Trek synopsis, I have come to the conclusion that Picard and
Maddox exhibited different views of Data and because of this difference in beliefs tension is felt
throughout their arguments. To begin, I feel the mind/body problem exhibited by Picard is one of a
materialistic view which states, Man is a wholly material being (Hasker, P. 69). Throughout Picard s
argument it becomes apparent that he regards Data, who is an android, as an officer aboard his ship
and deems him more than just a machine. The reading suggest the human brain functions in a way that
resembles a self operating computer similar to the computer found in Data (Hasker, P. 70) Hasker adds
that our thoughts and other functions of the brain are simply the characteristics of complex, highly
