2 2014 Professor Eric Maskin was born in New York City on 12 December, 1950. He spent his child
and high school years in Alpine, New Jersey. Alpine was a very small town, so he has study his high
school in the town of Tenafly. When he was at Tenafly high school he found Mathematics very
interesting due to a great Calculus teacher named Francis Piersa. So he continued with Maths major at
Harvard. Maskin happen to take some economics courses along with his degree in Mathematics.
During his undergraduate studies he happened to attend Kenneth Arrow s class on information
economics, he said Kenneth Arrow s class was so inspiring that I decided to change direction. It
seemed to me that economics combined the best of both worlds: the rigor of mathematics with the
immediate relevance of a social science (Maskin, 2013a). He continued at Harvard on his master s and
PhD in applied mathematics, but focused on economics. Maskin wrote his dissertation on mechanism
design and social welfare on Arrow‟s direction (Maskin, 2008). In 2007, Eric Maskin was awarded
Nobel Prize in economics along with Leonid Hurwicz and Roger Myerson for laying the fundamentals

During the sixteenth century, both the Ottoman and Tokugawa Japanese empires had political and
economic similarities and differences. Politically, these empires were alike because both had
centralized bureaucracy but different because they had very distinct ways of keeping order within their
empires. Economically, they were similar because both depended on trade yet different because of

Edmund Andros the governor prior to the Glorious Revolution was known for being an extremely
strict man that strongly supported the Navigation acts and this is one reason why he was overthrown
by Leislor. The rebellion established a rebellious attitude towards British domination, and reinforced

Just like a four year old on Christmas morning, I waited in the booksale line my sophomore year eager
to receive my newest toy. I quickly ran through the registration lines, so quickly that nearly forgot to
take my ID picture. Alas, a Glenbrook South student handed a large, white cardboard box with the
contents I had been anticipating all summer. It was Christmas in August. In the evolutionary era of
technology, schools have become increasingly dependent on the usage of internet and computers. As
teachers are provided with more and more online resources for instructing, it only makes sense for
students to follow. Along with other local elementary schools, Glenbrook South dipped its toes in the
technology era with the initial implementation of Smart Boards and other classroom technology in
over years past. In the 2013 2014 school year, Glenbrook South decided to fully submerge into the
pool to begin the ChromeBook program. Each student would be required to pay a portion of the cost
for the Samsung ChromeBook computer each year for school usage. These computers were introduced
in efforts to enable equality among all students, as they are being provided the same resourc and
online educational activities. Additionally, they would contribute to increased communication between

On 3 26 2017 at about 0805 hrs I was west bound on E Main St at about Auburn Way when I noticed a
black Acura pass me east bound on E Main St. At the time, the vehicle had no front plate and it
