but these death contraptions are very fragile and it takes a very meticulous and careful spiderto

Silver Ball by Emily Dickinson, and Design by Robert Frost. Dickinson shows a majestic web,
made by an equally majestic spider, whereas Frost portrays an evil spider, using his web only to kill

Taking a Look at CGI and Perl Scripts
Many years ago, as many of us must have noticed most websites that were running had plain and
simple web pages with some animation in the form of gif files. Companies like Apple then
broke the ice and came up with elegantly designed websites that looked really engaging and
simple to navigate. Things started to evolve from then onwards. In addition to just writing
HTML for web pages and saving them on a server, web developers started to come up with better
ways of making these pages further interactive. The thought was great but there was an issue and
that was one could only get static content. What if one wanted to notify others of how many
people came to visit their website or what if you wanted to capture data from an online form? That
was the moment when people started to turn towards CGI and Perl scripts. These scripts were
special codes that used to run on the web serverand could act as an interface between the file
systems and/or the database.
CGI and Perl scripts were not easy to use and in fact they were not so flexible. In fact, a new
process for each request had to be created plus it wasn t secure and it didn t offer any structured
way of creating dynamic modules or applications. As a result, things became a little complex and

its attention inward. Instead, in a move about which historians still debate, Rome turned to the

beyond. I intend to show that this expansion eastward was not driven by any top down imperial

I Am My Graduate Career
When I began my undergraduate career, I had no inkling of what I wanted to do in the future. It
was early on that I discovered my passion for chemistry, math and physics classes which
galvanized my hunger for knowledge. In due time, I developed a proclivity for research that was
stirred largely by my first mentor, Dr. Daniel Lambrecht, during an American Chemical Society
meeting. I was so engrossed in his research on nanocatalysis and piezoelectrics that I walked up to

I left my undergraduate career conflicted about whether to pursue a degree in chemistry or chemical
engineering. Through a combination of independent research, advice from mentors, and on the job

engineering. With chemical, physical, and mathematical concepts as well as industrial know how,
engineers transform ideas into useful and attainable products that impact the lives of many.

was a social worker. Louisa will never marry or have any children of her own.

Usually in this scenario a kid is upset at first but seems to be resilient and uses their strength to get

How can an author write a story which appeals to a present day audience? Richard H. Tyre
published an article in 1978 that gives an answer to this very question. Tyre explains how most

The Indigenous People Of California
The indigenous people of California had existed on the lands as hunters gathers before the arrival
of the Spanish who were the first Europeans to reach this part of the Americas. These settlers who
began surveying the area since 1530, helped introduce the mission system around 1697 as part of an

DISCUSSION
The first place to start on overall success of the experimentation would be the IR and melting
point values. If the IR and melting point reveal to match exactly with literature values, the whole
of experimentation can be deemed successful. Unfortunately, the reality is not as simple, for even
a slight impure peak or skewness in melting point shows flaw in the sample product. Benzaldehyde
was the first chemical in question. For this lab example, pure benzaldehyde was provided. For
exemplary purposes, the IR of benzaldehyde was taken to track the peak alterations that could occur
in later steps. The melting point provides further evidence of the purity of the benzaldehyde, but
purity was assumed and therefore melting point was not taken. Benzaldehyde is a simple aromatic
compound with a aldehyde group; therefore, expected peaks are the aromatic ring constituents,
C=O bond representative of aldehydes, and C H bonds representative of aldehydes. According to
the expected literature values in place for this functional groups, benzaldehyde was sufficiently
pure, containing all the correct values. With the correct IR spectrograph available, all following IR
