Christian Worldview Papers
Being a today s Christian
Being a Christian in today s world is not as simple or as accepting by humanity as it may seem. There
are many varied worldviews, all believing that their own worldview concept is the right and correct
one. Christianity is no exception, which makes it necessary to show a clear understanding as to what a
Christian worldview consists of. So, the purpose of this paper will lead to a better understanding of
God, humanity, Jesus, restoration, analyzing the Christian worldview, and reflection upon my own
personal belief.
The best place to start is at the beginning and that is with God. To understand what God is like one
needs to start with the many of God s characteristics and attributes and the first one is love which is
explained in this verse, The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other attributes are that God is Holy, unchangeable and cannot lie. Isaiah 6:3 attests of God s Holiness
and that glory of God satisfies the whole earth. Because of God s Holiness, it is impossible for God to
lie as this goes against His nature, So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the
promise the unchangeable character to his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, so that by two
unchangeable thins, in which it is impossible for God to lie , (Hebrews 6:17 18, ESV). The Christian
worldview doesn t stop there. Christians contend that their God is alive and will never leave them.
God is alive to every believer through His word (John 1:14 NASB), and the Bible, For the word of
God is living and active and sharper than a two edged sword , (Hebrews 4:12, ESV). It is comforting
that not only does God have a relationship by loving man that hat he will never leave the believer,
because God has said, Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you , (Hebrews 13:5, NIV). These
mentioned descriptions don t include the more popular characteristics in which God is all knowing
(omniscience), all powerful (omnipotence)

Last Words By Walter Michaels
In the essay Last Words, published on the first of October in 2006, the author Walter Michaels instills
an idea of what to do when a language is loss. Throughout the essay, he gives examples of how
languages are (and how they could be) lost. He also points out, that even though many of those
reasons have been eliminated, that languages continue to go extinct. Thus, the author brings up the
point, Why would it be a tragedy if English disappeared? Although people mourn the loss of a
language, Michaels argues that speakers of the dying language should exert effort to learn the
dominate one.
The reason for a language s death having little importance is that it is just a tool for communication.
Any tool can be replaced. For example, The very thing that made it a mistake for the missionaries to
try to stop people from speaking Native American languages...makes it a mistake to care whether
people continue to speak (it s not as if English is worse). (Michaels, 2006) English became the tool for
communication, replacing the Native American languages. This happens to places where a new
language is introduced, and begins to grow more popular compared to the native language, for some
type of need. This leads to the dominating language to become the lingua franca.
A lingua franca is a language that is the common grounds for communication. Major languages come
and sweep the minor languages under the rug. While the minor languages aren t completely forgotten,
yet, the major language is

Paul Revere s Ride By Henry Longfellow Figurative Language
In the poem, Paul Revere s Ride, the author, Henry Longfellow, uses figurative language, and sound
devices to create suspense and tension within the poem. The way he uses the figurative language and
sound devices makes readers want to keep reading to find out what will happen next. In Longfellow s
famous poem he uses devices such as rhyming, rhyme scheme, and repetition to allow the readers to
feel fear and push them to the edge of their seats. Some figurative language the storyteller uses is
personification, and similes to compare objects, and fearful moments to something more dramatic.
One way Longfellow makes his readers want to read on is using rhyming words at the end of each line
in a stanza. For example, in stanza 11, lines 104 110, He heard to bleating of the flock/ And the twitter
of birds among the trees/ And felt the breath of the morning breeze/ Blowing over the meadows brown
These few lines use peaceful, and soothing words to allow the readers to feel safe. But, then

Dress Codes Challenges
A major challenge students face today is dress code. Dress codes unfairly target students based on
gender and body type, but more specifically targets female students. Every school has a different dress
code. But most dress codes ban leggings, shorts and short skirts, and bare midriffs. Dress codes make
girls think that they are the problem, when it really is not. Like I said before, dress codes specifically
target female students. The reason most people give for having dress codes is so that the girls clothing
won t distract the boys. An example is leggings. Girls wear leggings to be comfortable. Wearing
leggings is no different than wear super tight skinny jeans. Wearing jeans is not very comfortable
sometimes, and it can be so uncomfortable

Synthesis Procedure 1
1.0 Introduction A Cobalt Amine Halide compound is synthesized from cobalt (II) chloride
hexahydrate. An orange tinted solid is produced and is considered to be unknown since the specific
ligand amounts are unknown. By determining the percent composition of various elements and
compounds in the unknown, its true identity can be predicted. Chloride, ammonia, and cobalt are three
examples of percent compositions determined to help narrow the selection of possible unknowns.
Titrations using Na2S2O3 and HCl to determine percent cobalt and ammonia, respectively, are used.
Silver nitrate is used to precipitate the chloride ions in the unknown, which can be measured to
determine the percent composition of chloride ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
KIO3 is added to an HCl and KI solution containing excess KI and I ions. KIO3 acts as a primary
standard and reacts to produce I2, which can then be reacted with the Na2S2O3. The yellow/brown
color during the triplicate titrations is due to the presence of I3 . Starch indicator is added to the
slightly titrated yellow colored solution to help easily see the endpoint. The liberated I2 needed about
31.49mL of Na2S2O3 solution during the titration to reach the endpoint. The molarity of Na2S2O3
used for the titration is found to be .10270M with .159% deviation (Table 5).

Why Did America Stay Out Of The United States In World War...
War waged violently for a long time across many fronts before the United States entered the World
War II, beginning with Japan s invasion of Manchuria in 1931. Adolf Hitler and his Nazism rose to
power in Germany, while Benito Mussolini and his fascism gained control of Italy. Great Britain and
France adopted appeasement policies, allowing Hitler to invade and take control without much
resistance. This changed when Germany invaded Poland, and Britain and France finally entered the
war as the Allied Powers. In September of 1940, Germany, Italy, and Japan began the Axis Powers.
During the onset of this fighting, the United States was determined to remain neutral for a variety of
reasons. With the Great Depression not improving, there was a ... Show more content on

On December 7, 1941, the Japanese bombed the American naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. More
than 2,000 American lives were lost, as well as 187 aircraft and 18 naval vessels. This tragedy finally
brought the United States into World War II on the side of the Allies. The United States, Great Britain,
and The Soviet Union became The Big Three. Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Joseph
Stalin headed these countries, respectively.
The United States role in World War II began primarily in the Pacific, between Japan and the West
Coast. Here, we were instrumental in the Battle of the Coral Sea, where a Japanese fleet was turned
back from attacking Australia. The Battle of Midway Island was another victory for America against
the Japanese navy, and marked the turning point of the Pacific naval war. It was not until D Day, June
6, 1944, that the United States became involved in the fighting on the European front. On this day,
nearly 200,000 soldiers, led by General Dwight D. Eisenhower, landed on the beaches of Normandy,
France. After intense fighting, the German armies retreated. The United States also sent supplies to the
Soviet Union, helping them in their victory at Stalingrad. The magnitude of World War II made
change imminent at home. FDR created federal agencies like the War Production Board, the War
Manpower Commission, and the Office of Price Administration to stimulate

Napoleon s Return to France Essay
Napoleon returned to home to France with only about 10% of his Army still alive. He lost most of his
soldiers during the Great White Death, which is one of the largest French disasters to date. Since all
the coalition allies knew he was in trouble, they decided to follow him and take him out while he was
down and burned out. This is when he decided to give himself up and be exiled to Elba with 1000
guards. Before he left though, he promised his men that he, ... would return when the flowers
bloomed. And that was a promise that Napoleon kept. When he returned to France he came face to

Napoleons forces where divided since Grouchy was keeping a close eye on Blucher. If only they
would have known that he should have stayed with Napoleon they would have won Waterloo instead
it was a drawn out battle that caused a lot of bloodshed on La Belle Alliance Ridge. Waterloo didn t
get started till 11:35 am because the ground was too muddy to get his cannons into place. Once he did
get his cannons into place he decided he wanted to take Hougomont. Hougomont became a huge
headache to Napoleon because he would constantly try to take it and never did during the entire battle.
Picton ordered Major General William Ponsoby, who led the Scots Grays, to attack the French. Every
English boy would have wanted to be one of those brave men at the time. They collided with the
French lancers and they were annihilated. The Scots Grays tried to ever turn back but not one of them
survived. While this was going on, around 1:45 pm, Picton was shot in the head, through his top hat.
Picton was not dressed in his usual military uniform because Napoleon had attacked his train and stole
his gear so all he had to wear was a black suit and top hat. That particular hat is on display in a
museum at waterloo. A wind storm begin and actually started making Wellington a little nervous. He

Observation Of A Piglet Experiment
On the 10th of September 2017, ten little piglets that had died at birth were brought and staged outside
of Heartland Career Center in Wabash, Indiana. Over the past three weeks we have observed and
studied the dead piglets lying in the grass, cement and suspended from a pole. Before we started the
experiment, we had to answer some questions on how which piglet will decompose faster during the
experiment. There was a lot discovered about the dead piglets and it was very interesting. Throughout
this project, we had to answer questions on what we think will happen to the piglets and make a
hypothesis on what will happen through the three weeks that we did it. Most of the questions that I
had were correct with my hypothesis. One of the questions that we had to answer was, does a piglet
suspended in the air decompose at a different rate than the one left on the ground or the cement? This
was a difficult question but not too hard because the piglets that were suspended took a long time to
decompose to just bones. Differed from the piglets in the air it took the piglets on the ground at least a
week to decompose because of the heat that we had over a weekend time period that had no
observations because we weren t at school. Over all, the piglets that were suspended in the air on a
pole and the piglets on the ground each piglet had a different reaction to everyday. Which decomposes
faster, a piglet that is in its natural state, one that is burnt, one that is buried? This was a

Hiring a consultant to determine which departments have the greatest resistance to change will allow
for CrysTel s leadership to address specific behavioral indicators in order to successfully implement
organizational change as needed.
In Workplace Change: Managing Workplace Change, Becker, Tennessen, and Dahl state that some
implications to organizational change are:
addressing concerns about job security and the workplace, increasing change acceptance, identifying
the benefits of the change and create incentives for acceptance, perceive management commitment for
satisfaction and commitment to the new workplace strategy, broadcast information through interactive
dialogue, explain broad goals, and discuss personal implications (1997).
These implications can result in both positive and negative effects within an organization depending
on the way change is handled in an organization. Becker et al, also state that the most common
question employees will have, when it comes to change, will be, How does this affect me? (Workplace
Change: Managing Workplace Change, 1997). In order for employees to feel as if management has
considered the implications of organizational change on employees, leaders and managers should
avoid the following common mistakes when managing workplace change:
do not rely on formal presentations and written materials; do not assume that since you ve told them

Essay On The Colony Of Virginia
The colony of Virginia was founded by a stock company: the Virginia Company. To attract people
Virginia made a wonderful charter. Emigrants who paid their own way to Virginia got fifty acres of
land. There would not be mere tenants. Civil authority would control the military. A council of
burgesses, representatives chosen by the inhabitants of the colony for their government, would be
convened as the House of Burgesses. The governor could veto their actions and the company still had
overall control of the venture, but the settlers would have a say in their own government, including the
right of the House of Burgesses to introduce money bills. The King s court appointed a royal governor,
someone who had never set foot on the land of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The governor chose six people in the colony to be in his council. The other fifteen people were chosen
by the king because of their family and wealth. In all, there were twenty two members that attended.
All the representatives were English. Each of the Virginian counties had sent a representative to the
house. The first meeting was on July 30, 1619. It was held in the choir of the church on Jamestown
Island. It lasted for six days, but was cut short by the disease, Malaria. Problems began to strike, like a
massacre from the Native Americans where they killed 400 colonists. As hard as the government tried
to conceal the problems, the king heard about them. He made virginia a crown colony. The king
divided the colony into eight shires. By 1643, there were 15 shires! Most jobs were simply
commanded to people. Only the representatives got votes to represent. Each shire would send a vote
for a representative to go and work in the House, rather than have it be just rich people. White men
that were seventeen years old or older and owned land were able to vote for these representatives. In
1652, Oliver Cromwell forced Jamestown to admit that they had been taken over. However, that did
not mean that their

Anne of Green Gables Research Essay
Anne of Green Gables Research Essay
Anne of Green Gables is an enchanting tale of a young orphan named Anne Shirley. Anne, who
happens to be an eleven year old orphan at the beginning of the story, eventually gets adopted
mistakenly by Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert. Matthew and Marilla were simply looking for a young
male orphan who would be able to assist them with physical work around the house because Matthew
was getting older, and would need an extra hand. Despite having a little girl, who was useless to them
physically, they quickly fell in love with this young girl s goodness and great qualities. It has recently
been discovered that Lucy Maud Montgomery, the author of Anne of Green gables, was suffering of
depression and loneliness ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the novel we can see that Anne is not so fond of religion. When she gets asked to pray, she simply
does it to satisfy Marilla considering how she believes god gave her red hair on purpose. This is
another similarity found between Anne and L.M. Montgomery. At some point in Montgomery s
journals, she explains how she is against orthodox religion (DuVernet, Sylvia, p.7). There are so many
things that we can relate from the author to Anne s character, it may be coincidental, but considering
how Montgomery used writing as a therapeutic relief, it is quite evident that some of her traits and
beliefs such as the aspect of depression and
Hurtubise 4
loneliness were meant to be poured into the book (Rubio, Writing a life: L.M. Montgomery).
Anne s imagination was certainly one of her greatest attributes. Although her imagination sometimes
led her to trouble, it is in fact what made her so special and successful throughout the novel. A few
times in the story, she would catch herself daydreaming and meanwhile accidentally being the cause
of problems. A good example of this was when she was baking the cake; she ruined it due to being in
her own little world. Another case which is actually worst then the previously stated incident, is when
Anne s imagination nearly causes her to drown while reenacting a poem. Women were expected to

Gang Prevention Programs And Their Effectiveness
I. Overview of the topic/problem statement
My topic is to discover gang prevention programs and their effectiveness. The prevention programs
being discussed are the G.R.E.A.T. program and the Comprehensive Anti Gang Initiative (CAGI). The
problem is that these prevention methods are not effective in alternatives to gang life. The alternatives
could include family, protection, and these support that gangs give to their members. If these programs
are not successful in offering these alternatives then the program will not be as effective. My goal was
to test these programs by using a new classification of gang control strategies. This topic is important
in Social Work because gang prevention can saved lives by giving the kid the tools ... Show more

Before the revision of the G.R.E.A.T. program the program evaluation was not good (Esbensen, F.,
Peterson, D., Taylor, T., Freng, A., Osgood, D., Carson, D., Matsuda, K. ,2011). Finn Aage Esbensen
(2011), did a study on G.R.E.A.T. students versus Non G.R.E.A.T. students to monitor their attitudes
and whether the behavioral goals were achieved (Esbensen, F., Peterson, D., Taylor, T., Freng, A.,
Osgood, D., Carson, D., Matsuda, K. ,2011). The differences the G.R.E.A.T. students showed were
lower levels of victimization and risk seeking tendencies, more prosocial peers, more negative views
about gangs, and more positive views of law enforcement (Esbensen, F., Peterson, D., Taylor, T.,
Freng, A., Osgood, D., Carson, D., Matsuda, K. ,2011). Furthermore, there were no differences
between G.R.E.A.T. and non G.R.E.A.T. students in levels of delinquency, violence, or gang
membership (Esbensen, F., Peterson, D., Taylor, T., Freng, A., Osgood, D., Carson, D., Matsuda, K.
,2011). . Importantly, the five significant differences did not emerge until 3 or 4 years after program
exposure; the earlier analyses conducted just 2 years post program revealed no differences at all
between the experimental and comparison groups (Esbensen, F., Peterson, D., Taylor, T., Freng, A.,
Osgood, D., Carson, D., Matsuda, K. ,2011). The significant 3 and 4 year results support lagged

The Blue Hotel
The Blue Hotel by Stephen Crane is classic short piece written in 1899. A time when Naturalism
became a concept of much influence. Naturalism, an outgrowth of Realism, is a movement in
literature that seeks to capture a believable everyday reality. This often portrays the darker side of
human nature and the harshness of life; including poverty, racism, prejudice, disease, prostitution,
filth, etc. Although The Blue Hotel is extremely well done, it was slow to start and has a weak ending.
I wished that the characters would have had more depth, making this my least favorite piece. Crane,
known for his Naturalist writing style, was inspired to write The Blue Hotel during a trip to Lincoln,
Nebraska. There he interfered a kerfuffle in a hotel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Analysis Of George Green s Spell Of The Magic Play
Spell of the Magic Play by George Green Just like a vivid dream with the most energetic scenes, Spell
of the Magic Play will take you on an adventure. This piece not only makes the viewer question what
reality is, but it also pulls you into another dimension. It is booming with colorful energy at all angles,
and will make any adult feel like a child again. Strategically placed acrylic paint is smoothly brushed
on birch wood, creating multiple square and rectangular shapes. These shapes of colors are so precise
in angle, that it s almost as if they were part of the wood itself. Tiny squares of color are scattered
along it adding to the visual energy. As the eye travels to the bottom right side of the painting, a thick
glob of acrylic paint ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Edges permit interface of seemingly disparate visual systems; each with its own internal logic. The
greater the local differences of systems the greater the energy produced (OSU library). Green is a post
modern abstract painter who works primarily with acrylic paint, and as a founding member of the
abstract illusionists, he has left a huge impact on the art world. Not only are his works shown in over
60 museums worldwide, he has also had 160 exhibitions in the U.S. and Europe. Spell of the Magic
Play has the ability to change one s view on reality with the use of trompe l oeil illusion, and it
contains repeated overlapping elements and colors. Green is able to create depth using shadows so
strategically that it makes it impossible to tell what is flat and what isn t. To the left of the painting, a
large spiraling cone is seen that pushes the viewer to look inside of it, and even reach inside into the
unknown. This urge to look more closely never ceases throughout the piece. Little windows are also
created by the use of shadow. In these windows there are tiny details of painted clouds which makes it
seem like there could be something beyond the surface. Looking at these puts the viewer in a
comfortable space, almost as if one is looking outside of their own bedroom window. The combination

Compare And Contrast Jocasta And Oedipus
Oedipus: obligation to save Thebes and find Laius killer vs suspicion of prophecy → oedipus is a

Meaning of Play: disaster can befall anyone → learning to accept this will humble you and allow you

While Ancient Greek tragedies are purely fictional, their themes are based on prevalent issues in
society at the time. Historians often attribute the Second Peloponnesian War to the arrogance of

But unlike Oedipus, Jocasta handles her situation through hypocrisy and denial. As the play
progresses, it becomes obvious that Jocasta is terrified of the idea that her life is influenced by the
gods. Instead, she forces herself to believe that life is governed by the operations of chance. Nothing
can be clearly foreseen. The best way to live is by hit or miss, as best you can (53). Jocasta s life best
resembles a balance, with the evidence to support the prophecies on one side and how much she can
ignore on the other. She convinces herself that prophetic power does not exist, yet attempted to avoid
the prophecy of Laius death by sending their child into the mountains. When Laius died, Jocasta
reasoned that it was due to chance, thus proving the prophecy wrong. But the moment the Corinthian
messenger revealed where he found Oedipus as a baby, Jocasta s balance tipped. Not even Jocasta,
who could ignore Oedipus injuries to his ankle and the meaning of his name, could overlook the proof.
In her desperation to retain control of her life, Jocasta begs Oedipus to not interrogate the shepherd,
and when he refuses, she takes her own life. Ultimately, Jocasta is revealed as a character who would
do anything to avoid the truth. When the prophecies came to fruition, Jocasta realizes that she never
had any control over her life. Unlike Oedipus, Jocasta refuses to accept her fate, and in her final act of
defiance, an act she deems as her own, she commits

However, the psychiatrist judged Mosley to be normal. On June 11, 1964, Winston Mosley was found
guilty of murder. Though initially given the death sentence, the sentence was reduced to life
imprisonment after the trial went to appeal with New York s Court of Appeals. The murderer intended
to kill her. But there were thirty eight witnesses and nobody attempted to help her. It is unimaginable.
There was a psychological issue that is called bystanders. Most people when hearing about this sort of
thing react with horror not so much in the direction of the crime, but rather at the actions of the
bystanders. The bystander effect is a psychological phenomenon in which someone is less likely to
intervene in an emergency situation when others are present than when a person is alone. It is one of
those questions that can be asked over and over again. Why did no one call for help? It would not be
hard to pick up the phone; what kind of people could ignore such a thing? It is very miserable.
However, the fact is that the reactions of the bystanders are horrible. This lack of action is one of the
reasons why Kitty Genovese is taught in intro to psychology courses. She makes an excellent, though
graphic, introduction to the concept of diffusion of responsibility: a peculiar phenomenon of inaction
within a group of people. A person is much more

Erikson s Stages Of Development
Adolescent Development The age of adolescents is generally a time of great change within a person s
life. Between the ages of twelve and eighteen, adolescents do not only experience rapid physical
change, but also begin to find their own unique personality by completing cognitive, behavioral, moral
and social stages. These stages were defined by different theorists such as Erik Erikson, Jean Piaget
and Lawrence Kohlberg. After completing these stages an adolescent should be able to develop into a
healthy and happy adult who can think abstractly and has their own set of morals and identity (Berk,
2014, pg. 402).

407). Kohlberg s levels of morality are separated into three main stages. Children are most often in the
first stage, the preconventional level, At this level individuals reason through their morals based upon
consequences that will come after. The conventional level describes how individuals at this stage
conform to agreed upon morals and rules to keep the order rather than avoiding punishment. The last
and most advanced stage is the postconventional stage which entails individuals who move beyond
agreed upon rules and morals and actually question established beliefs and principles (Berk, 2014, p.g.

popularity by keeping everything in his school s culture and principles intact. When Ronald was trying
to keep his deal with Cindy a secret and also fit in, he was perpetuating the current social system.

Reasons The Trials Of Witch Trials
Were people accused of witchcraft given fair trials? In my opinion, they were not. Based on the
information gathered from the three documents, many of the men and women accused of witchcraft
were doomed before the trial even took place. There are many reasons as to why the trials were unfair
before they even started. First, a big reason why the trials were so unfair was because of the church.
They could use their influence on society to decide who has jurisdiction over certain areas, giving
inquisitors legal power over areas they may not have otherwise had. Another reason the trials were
unfair is the suspected party did not really get to defend themselves, and even if they tried to, they
could be found guilty anyway. However, the biggest reason I think the trials were unfair was because
of the Malleus Maleficarum, where it mentions torture of prisoners with the intention of getting
confessions. The Papal Bull of 1484 was important because it shows that Pope Innocent VIII not only
openly acknowledged witchcraft as a threat, but also gives encouragement to witch hunts. Desiring
with supreme ardor, as pastoral solicitude requires, that the catholic faith in our days everywhere grow
and flourish as much as possible, and that all heretical depravity be put far from the territories of the
faithful, we freely declare and a new decree this by which our pious desire may be fulfilled, and, all

The Mexican Revolution Of 1910
The Mexican Revolution of 1910 set many influences in motion shaping the course of Mexican
history between 1920 up into the 2000s. There are several patterns that take its cue from the
Revolution include the creation and long standing existence of a one political party rule. The Mexican
Revolution is an extremely long and complicated subject to perceive without much background
information, but in summation the Revolution was an attempt to end a dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz
and to establish a constitutional republic. Many problems arose during the Revolution, including
several divided groups lead by strong willed individual lovely referred to as revolutionaries these
included Francisco Madero, Pascual Orozco, Pancho Villa, and Emiliano Zapata. With threatening
political crisis among competing Mexican elites and the opportunity for agrarian insurgence lead to
the outbreak of the Revolution. The Revolution would leave lasting influences such as those on
Mexico far beyond the imagination thought possible. The first pattern set noticeably in history would
the creation and long standing institution of a one party rule over Mexican government. The first
election of a Mexican President after the removal of Porfirio Diaz was in 1920 with Alvaro Obregon.
(CMH, 425) Obregon would face harsh economic trouble during a post World War I economy. The
most important aspect of his presidency would be to finally implement the constitution that had been

Skepticism About The External World
Skepticism about the external world is one of the most widely discussed arguments in the history of
philosophy. Barry Stroud defines skepticism as the idea that we cannot have knowledge about the
external world (Stroud, page 1). This conclusion is the result of Rene Descartes Dream Argument and
has been a topic of discussion ever since. No matter how we attack the argument, it seems that we
inevitably arrive at skepticism. In this paper, I will argue that the skeptical conclusion is true and why
it seems to be compelling as a necessary condition for knowledge. I will describe the Dream Argument
and take a look at Moore s promising response to the conclusion as an inconsistent proof. In the end,
Moore s argument for evidence of an external world will fail to disprove the skeptical conclusion due
to its lack of justified belief. Although I am intuitively inclined to deny the skeptical argument, I
cannot logically do so but will argue against full blown skepticism and explain how mild skepticism is
a more approachable route to knowledge. In our everyday conversation, we do not generally question
the validity of small claims that we make during normal interactions. In Meditation 1, Descartes
decides that it is the right time to reevaluate the foundation of knowledge that he will rest his life upon
from that point forward. He puts in question the things that he thinks he knows for certain. He
acknowledges that everything he knows has been perceived from the senses or through

The Death Of Witchcraft By Richard Godbeer Essay
Ultio, is the Latin word for Revenge, which the witchcraft craze of the 1800 s was indirectly a result
of. Richard Godbeer argues that women and men, alike, were accused of witchcraft by vengeful
neighbors. These vengeful acts, however, were a direct result of tensions in and around the colonies.
In a new land faced by harsh weather, disease, and war with neighboring Native American tribes,
many colonists needed an escape, something they could easily control and defeat. Accusing neighbors
of witchcraft, was not only an act of revenge, but a way for colonists to band together against a
common enemy they could destroy. They essentially created a substitute for their fears and hatred.
Connecticut had already begun to face a renewal of Indian attacks, and dissention between Quakers
and Anglicans, as Stamford begin to experience witch accusations. Goodbeer mentions, in his
Afterword, that the rhetoric used to describe increasing tensions caused by Indian attacks and religious
conflicts was similar to what was used to describe witches. Portraying them as being worshipers of
Satan. In small communities, like those of the Puritans in the colonies, congressional members were
expected to be friendly, kind and generous at all times. Any deviation from this norm resulted in
aggravated neighbors who would then proceed to call that person a witch. Puritans were not
particularly bothered by those who were healers, or practiced the occults, but rather were bothered by
those who did them

Title: Planning a concert particularly its facilities
Thesis statement: A concert would not be possible without considering the importance of an organized
and well equipped facility.
Successful concerts are what performers and organizer and audiences all hope for. This not only
means the thoughtful programming of quality music, but also a smoothly run performance and
production. Therefore, a lot of planning and making sure that everything is in order is the key to a
successful all out concert (Hudson, 2012). According to Vertudez, one of our interviewees, Planning

Currently, the Philippines has only two main concert venues that can occupy 10, 000 people
specifically, the Smart Araneta Coliseum and the SM Mall of Asia Arena. In 2014, the Philippine
Arena is expected to be opened in Bulacan. Even if it is being built by a religious congregation, the
said venue can still be available for other big events for it has 50, 000 sitting capacity. These venues
have comfortable seats and strict policies which make them best concert venues in the city. They have
more available facilities than open concert grounds because of sufficient air conditioning systems and
well maintained toilets. All of these are considered to put up concert facilities (Concepcion, 2011).
In order for a concert to be possible, it is necessary to need a committee. It is an important factor to
consider having to appoint a management team to ensure that the facilities in the concert are in good
condition. Furthermore, the team responsible in organizing the facilities should also be divided into
specific sections. For instance in the checking of acoustics, taking care of the number of seats as well
as the arrangement of it, decorating the whole venue and also the people who will be responsible for
cleaning the venue after the event. To greatly ensure and to be able to control the whole production,
setting up meetings regularly would absolutely help. Weeks or even months before the actual event,
everything should all be planned and set upped. Considering

Due to his poor administration, his empire was taken over by the Uzbeks [1].
These men were great warriors, I believed they must have been called barbarians because they d

Attila the Hun and Genghiz Khan where the most strategic, their empire last longer than Tamerlane,
who was obviously cruel and very well deserve to be called a barbarian.

Dietary habits have been influenced and changed throughout the years all over the world. Diets impact
one s health drastically, and could affect lives in the long run if not taken seriously. From observation
of those experimenting with different dietary habits, such as the cleanliness of going vegan or cutting
out the carnivorous acts of eating meat by going either vegetarian or piscatorial, they are
malnourishing and depriving themselves of the vitamins and proteins an all around diet such as a
paleo diet can provide. Health and Fitness magazines boasts about how much cleaner one s body can

the person can be in if they began to involve themselves in intense physical activity. Society deserves
to know the true and false myths behind each type of diet such as vegan, vegetarian, paleo, and the
standard western diet. Although, web articles and books claim to have the best diet against all others,
their research and evidence are completely biased. There are tons of people becoming victim to these

not be destined to worry as much about long check in lines before their flight, and the possibility of a
misplaced bag when arriving at their destination. As far as the airlines themselves, the rankings and

the RFID tagging system at the ATL airport. Although using radio frequency identification tags in
airport baggage handling operations can be costly, the advantages of implementing this system at the
ATL airport will save the airport a lot of money in the long run. These tags do cost significantly more
than the standard bar code tags in which are in use at this time, but the overall fees and
reimbursements that are being paid yearly will be significantly reduced if these tags are indeed
implemented. While the bar coding system is inexpensive, the efficiency of the system is its number
one downfall. The barcodes often smudge, tear, and most importantly, the tags are set in stone once
they are printed. There is no access to make corrections to these tags if a passenger s destination

Safe Disposal of Insulation Material
There have been various types of Insulating materials used within the electrical power industry since
the beginning of electrical power. And over the years scientist and environmentalist have discovered
that most if not all insulating materials are harmful to the human body or the environment in one way
or another, being shot term or long term exposures. First of all, the term insulating material refers to a
substance that has the ability to resist electrical energy flow to make a conductor or copper wire safe
to touch by human hands for instance. But all these insulating materials will break down at a certain
limit if the power is strong enough, so this tells us that there is no such thing as a perfect insulator.
This example explained above is one use for an insulating material within the electrical power
industry. Insulators serve many advanced purposes and conditions. Be it Arc suppression within circuit
breakers or voltage insulation on power lines, or even protective equipment worn by electrical
workers. A majority of these insulating materials have been known to cause health hazards to humans
and environmental hazards to the environment which will be discussed in a bit more detail further on,

Hydrogen Concentration And Radioactive Isotopes
Distinguish between stable and radioactive isotopes and describe the conditions under which a nucleus
is unstable
Isotopes are atoms of the same element with different numbers of neutrons; BUT they have the same
number of protons.
In nuclear chemistry, isotopes are shown in the following form:
Chlorine 35 is written as 35Cl and Rubidium 85 is written as 85Rb
Isotopes can be divided in two categories, radioactive and stable.
Stable Isotopes are isotopes that are not radioactive. They have stable nuclei and pose no known
physiological skills
Radioactive Isotopes is when the atom is unstable, it will attempt to gain stability by emitting radiation
in one of the three main forms. A substance is radioactive when it emits this radiation. There are three
types of radiation: α (alpha), β (beta) and γ (gamma) radiation:
Alpha Decay: is made of helium nucleus (2 protons and 2 neutrons) that are ejected from unstable
large nuclei. Alpha radiation usually results when there are too many protons and neutrons in the
nucleus for it to be stable. For example, the decay of uranium 238: Beta Decay: is made up of
electrons ejected from an unstable nucleus (too may neutrons); but nuclei do not contain electrons.
Hence, the underlying reaction is the decomposition of a neutron: When neutron decomposes, it forms
an electron, which is immediately ejected as beta radiation, and a proton ( hydrogen nucleus ), which
is captured by the nucleus. Thus, the beta decay results in an

inevitably begins with helmets: Is there a design that is more likely to prevent concussions? There
have been some impressive innovations. The Riddell Revolution Speed embeds sensors that can
record the impact of collisions. Another company, Xenith, markets a model with shock absorbers
within the helmet. These devices, shaped like hockey pucks, are supposed to soften the impact of
blows to the head. The company said it surveyed 540 players using the helmet and found reports of
only three concussions.
3. Change youth football. Chris Nowinski is a former Harvard defensive tackle whose pro wrestling
career he didn t want to sit in a cubicle was derailed by concussions. He has since emerged as one of

Football s Concussion Crisis. To illustrate his points, he pulls up a YouTube clip titled Big Football

heads down, as a woman yells, Go! Go! The tiny helmets collide pop! After one kid gets knocked

The Software Development Life Cycle
The Software Development Life Cycle is a model, which consists of multiple steps or phases. This
model is used for the development of software or application. The purpose of SDLC is to make
software more efficient and effective. The life cycle typically has six phases. It starts with analysis and
design phase, then the implementation/ construction phase, testing phase, release or deployment phase
and ends with maintenance phase. The analysis phase determines why the need for the software arose,
the deliverables or outcome expected from the software or system and also identifies the various
requirements for the development. It is very important to involve users, stakeholders and working
engineers in this phase, to ensure that the Why criteria is thoroughly fleshed out. A well worked out
analysis phase will help developers and architects to successfully work on the given requirements in
the design phase. The design phase might also involve building several use cases and building
prototypes for users. Design can be logical design, physical design or architectural design. In the
construction phase, physical construction is done to complete the software (i.e. programming,
hardware, software and so on). The implementation phase turns the design into an actual product. The
next phase tests the software for possible vulnerabilities and bugs. This is to ensure that the product is
safe from possible security breach. The product is tested in the real world to see if it functions as

Monopoly And How It Reflects Society
Monopoly and how it reflects society
Monopoly is a board game which dates back to the early 20th century. Monopoly is a game which is
based on the idea that, an economy which rewards wealth creation is better than one in which
monopolist work under few constraints. This game encourages capitalism, in which one individual or
group can own a specific market and charge whatever fees they which, to attain the profit they want,
till the individuals either get bankrupt or stop using their services for alternating services. Monopoly
can be used to represent the inequalities of society, by using modified rules to reflect social
stratification of our society. To show then inequality in society, first everyone starts with a different
amount of money, with the highest income quartile starting with $3,728 US, multiple properties and
receiving $500 US every time he/she crosses the GO sign. On the other hand, the lowest quartile start
with a meager amount of $270 US, no property and receive $36 US every time the pass GO. From this

He was a big contributor to the impressionist art movement. His watercolor paintings were absolutely

paintings are done outdoors. Remington was truly a genius when it came to his art styles. Not only did
he use impressionism but he also used tonalism. Tonalism is a style of art when artists would paint
landscape forms with very Earth toned colors. They were typically made with dark natural hues such
as blue, gray, or brown. Before Frederic s death in 1909 he started working with bronze and started his
sculpting phase of his career. The very first sculpture he made was the famed Bronco Buster. The
original Bronco Buster was created in 1895. This sculpture was just barely three feet tall. Many
criticized Remington when he started the statute stating that the sculpture was impossible to create. It
was the first sculpture that had a horse on its hind legs. Many stated that gravity would play a factor in
his failure. They stated that when the bronze was cooling that it would run and the statute wouldn t

Happy Documentary Analysis
In Happy by Roko Belic (a 2011 documentary), All I want is to be happy in life was a reoccurring
statement from the people in the film. A majority of people in today s world agree with that statement.
Everyone wants to be happy, but what truly defines happiness? The Happy documentary presents
different things that make certain people happy, and what influences their feelings. The film does not
only imply that direct message, but also paints a bigger picture for the audience. The bigger picture
being: how ecology is the main factor behind people s happiness. The director of this film combines
real experiences from people around the world along with research from scientists to explain our
simple emotion, happiness.
The filmmakers really amplified the idea that everyone can become happier. They filmed people from
many different cultures around the world, to show that there are no barriers for being happy. Rather
than starting the film with an interview from an average American, Happy began with an Indian
rickshaw driver sharing his daily lifestyle. Although it may have seemed like a hard, tiring, and
anticlimactic lifestyle to the audience, he was happy. The narrator reports, Research shows that he was
as happy as the average American. This may seem unrealistic for the audience at first, considering the
audience is still discovering this principle that happiness is diverse for other individuals. Especially for
an audience member who finds that a majority of their happiness is related with money, this moment
in the film may have not been easy for them to comprehend. This part of the film really amplifies the
main claim from the director that happiness is mainly influenced by our ecology. The Indian rickshaw
driver found most of his happiness when he came home, and interacted with his son. The idea of
ecology has a lot to with the social interaction between individuals of the same species, in this case, it
was the interaction between the rickshaw driver and his son. Not only did the interaction with his son
brighten his mood, but his interaction with his neighbors also brought him to be happy.
The film then proceeds to reveal some of the science behind our happiness and how happiness is
measured. The film

Women Of The United States
One must reach far back in history in order to appreciate what two women are currently undertaking in
the political arena in the United States. Presently, two women are vying for their respective political
party s nomination to become President of the United States, however in the late nineteenth century
this would have never been thought possible. Women during this era had no self representation other
than their husbands and fathers. Several generations of women who supported the suffrage movement,
fought to change the Constitution of the United States. These revolutionary women of the United
States played a monumental role in making this a reality. As a result of these women s efforts, and
many more that followed, the 19th amendment to the Constitution was ratified on August 18, 1920,
allowing women the right to vote. This amendment marks one of the most pivotal points in American
politics. In order to set the stage for the importance of women s rights during this time in history, one
must first understand the circumstances under which women lived in nineteenth century America. In
the book, Lucy Stone, Speaking Out for Equality, author Andrea Moore Kerr tells of the day Lucy
Stone was born in Massachusetts, the year was 1818. It is now known that Lucy Stone would become
a champion for the rights of women and especially women s suffrage. Hannah Stone, Lucy s mother
was pregnant with her sixth child and was weary from having to perform so many duties as a woman

  • 2. Christian Worldview Papers Being a today s Christian Being a Christian in today s world is not as simple or as accepting by humanity as it may seem. There are many varied worldviews, all believing that their own worldview concept is the right and correct one. Christianity is no exception, which makes it necessary to show a clear understanding as to what a Christian worldview consists of. So, the purpose of this paper will lead to a better understanding of God, humanity, Jesus, restoration, analyzing the Christian worldview, and reflection upon my own personal belief. The best place to start is at the beginning and that is with God. To understand what God is like one needs to start with the many of God s characteristics and attributes and the first one is love which is explained in this verse, The ... Because of God s Holiness, it is impossible for God to lie as this goes against His nature, So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character to his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable thins, in which it is impossible for God to lie , (Hebrews 6:17 18, ESV). The Christian worldview doesn t stop there. Christians contend that their God is alive and will never leave them. God is alive to every believer through His word (John 1:14 NASB), and the Bible, For the word of God is living and active and sharper than a two edged sword , (Hebrews 4:12, ESV). It is comforting that not only does God have a relationship by loving man that hat he will never leave the believer, because God has said, Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you , (Hebrews 13:5, NIV). These mentioned descriptions don t include the more popular characteristics in which God is all knowing (omniscience), all powerful (omnipotence) ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Last Words By Walter Michaels In the essay Last Words, published on the first of October in 2006, the author Walter Michaels instills an idea of what to do when a language is loss. Throughout the essay, he gives examples of how languages are (and how they could be) lost. He also points out, that even though many of those reasons have been eliminated, that languages continue to go extinct. Thus, the author brings up the point, Why would it be a tragedy if English disappeared? Although people mourn the loss of a language, Michaels argues that speakers of the dying language should exert effort to learn the dominate one. The reason for a language s death having little importance is that it is just a tool for communication. Any tool can be replaced. For example, The very thing that made it a mistake for the missionaries to try to stop people from speaking Native American languages...makes it a mistake to care whether people continue to speak (it s not as if English is worse). (Michaels, 2006) English became the tool for communication, replacing the Native American languages. This happens to places where a new language is introduced, and begins to grow more popular compared to the native language, for some type of need. This leads to the dominating language to become the lingua franca. A lingua franca is a language that is the common grounds for communication. Major languages come and sweep the minor languages under the rug. While the minor languages aren t completely forgotten, yet, the major language is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Paul Revere s Ride By Henry Longfellow Figurative Language In the poem, Paul Revere s Ride, the author, Henry Longfellow, uses figurative language, and sound devices to create suspense and tension within the poem. The way he uses the figurative language and sound devices makes readers want to keep reading to find out what will happen next. In Longfellow s famous poem he uses devices such as rhyming, rhyme scheme, and repetition to allow the readers to feel fear and push them to the edge of their seats. Some figurative language the storyteller uses is personification, and similes to compare objects, and fearful moments to something more dramatic. One way Longfellow makes his readers want to read on is using rhyming words at the end of each line in a stanza. For example, in stanza 11, lines 104 110, He heard to bleating of the flock/ And the twitter of birds among the trees/ And felt the breath of the morning breeze/ Blowing over the meadows brown These few lines use peaceful, and soothing words to allow the readers to feel safe. War waged violently for a long time across many fronts before the United States entered the World War II, beginning with Japan s invasion of Manchuria in 1931. Over the past three weeks we have observed and studied the dead piglets lying in the grass, cement and suspended from a pole. Before we started the experiment, we had to answer some questions on how which piglet will decompose faster during the experiment. There was a lot discovered about the dead piglets and it was very interesting. Throughout this project, we had to answer questions on what we think will happen to the piglets and make a hypothesis on what will happen through the three weeks that we did it. Most of the questions that I had were correct with my hypothesis. One of the questions that we had to answer was, does a piglet suspended in the air decompose at a different rate than the one left on the ground or the cement? This was a difficult question but not too hard because the piglets that were suspended took a long time to decompose to just bones. Differed from the piglets in the air it took the piglets on the ground at least a week to decompose because of the heat that we had over a weekend time period that had no observations because we weren t at school. There are so many things that we can relate from the author to Anne s character, it may be coincidental, but considering how Montgomery used writing as a therapeutic relief, it is quite evident that some of her traits and beliefs such as the aspect of depression and Hurtubise 4 loneliness were meant to be poured into the book (Rubio, Writing a life: L.M. • 22. Reasons The Trials Of Witch Trials Were people accused of witchcraft given fair trials? In my opinion, they were not. Based on the information gathered from the three documents, many of the men and women accused of witchcraft were doomed before the trial even took place. There are many reasons as to why the trials were unfair before they even started. First, a big reason why the trials were so unfair was because of the church. They could use their influence on society to decide who has jurisdiction over certain areas, giving inquisitors legal power over areas they may not have otherwise had. Another reason the trials were unfair is the suspected party did not really get to defend themselves, and even if they tried to, they could be found guilty anyway. However, the biggest reason I think the trials were unfair was because of the Malleus Maleficarum, where it mentions torture of prisoners with the intention of getting confessions. The Papal Bull of 1484 was important because it shows that Pope Innocent VIII not only openly acknowledged witchcraft as a threat, but also gives encouragement to witch hunts. Desiring with supreme ardor, as pastoral solicitude requires, that the catholic faith in our days everywhere grow and flourish as much as possible, and that all heretical depravity be put far from the territories of the faithful, we freely declare and a new decree this by which our pious desire may be fulfilled, and, all errors being rooted out by our toil as with the hoe of a wise laborer, zeal and ... There are several patterns that take its cue from the Revolution include the creation and long standing existence of a one political party rule. The Mexican Revolution is an extremely long and complicated subject to perceive without much background information, but in summation the Revolution was an attempt to end a dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz and to establish a constitutional republic. Many problems arose during the Revolution, including several divided groups lead by strong willed individual lovely referred to as revolutionaries these included Francisco Madero, Pascual Orozco, Pancho Villa, and Emiliano Zapata. With threatening political crisis among competing Mexican elites and the opportunity for agrarian insurgence lead to the outbreak of the Revolution. The Revolution would leave lasting influences such as those on Mexico far beyond the imagination thought possible. The first pattern set noticeably in history would the creation and long standing institution of a one party rule over Mexican government. The first election of a Mexican President after the removal of Porfirio Diaz was in 1920 with Alvaro Obregon. (CMH, 425) Obregon would face harsh economic trouble during a post World War I economy. • 24. Skepticism About The External World Skepticism about the external world is one of the most widely discussed arguments in the history of philosophy. Barry Stroud defines skepticism as the idea that we cannot have knowledge about the external world (Stroud, page 1). This conclusion is the result of Rene Descartes Dream Argument and has been a topic of discussion ever since. No matter how we attack the argument, it seems that we inevitably arrive at skepticism. In this paper, I will argue that the skeptical conclusion is true and why it seems to be compelling as a necessary condition for knowledge. I will describe the Dream Argument and take a look at Moore s promising response to the conclusion as an inconsistent proof. In the end, Moore s argument for evidence of an external world will fail to disprove the skeptical conclusion due to its lack of justified belief. Although I am intuitively inclined to deny the skeptical argument, I cannot logically do so but will argue against full blown skepticism and explain how mild skepticism is a more approachable route to knowledge. In our everyday conversation, we do not generally question the validity of small claims that we make during normal interactions. In Meditation 1, Descartes decides that it is the right time to reevaluate the foundation of knowledge that he will rest his life upon from that point forward. He puts in question the things that he thinks he knows for certain. He acknowledges that everything he knows has been perceived from the senses or through ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 25. The Death Of Witchcraft By Richard Godbeer Essay Ultio, is the Latin word for Revenge, which the witchcraft craze of the 1800 s was indirectly a result of. Richard Godbeer argues that women and men, alike, were accused of witchcraft by vengeful neighbors. These vengeful acts, however, were a direct result of tensions in and around the colonies. In a new land faced by harsh weather, disease, and war with neighboring Native American tribes, many colonists needed an escape, something they could easily control and defeat. Accusing neighbors of witchcraft, was not only an act of revenge, but a way for colonists to band together against a common enemy they could destroy. They essentially created a substitute for their fears and hatred. Connecticut had already begun to face a renewal of Indian attacks, and dissention between Quakers and Anglicans, as Stamford begin to experience witch accusations. Goodbeer mentions, in his Afterword, that the rhetoric used to describe increasing tensions caused by Indian attacks and religious conflicts was similar to what was used to describe witches. Portraying them as being worshipers of Satan. In small communities, like those of the Puritans in the colonies, congressional members were expected to be friendly, kind and generous at all times. Any deviation from this norm resulted in aggravated neighbors who would then proceed to call that person a witch. Puritans were not particularly bothered by those who were healers, or practiced the occults, but rather were bothered by those who did them ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Even if it is being built by a religious congregation, the said venue can still be available for other big events for it has 50, 000 sitting capacity. These venues have comfortable seats and strict policies which make them best concert venues in the city. They have more available facilities than open concert grounds because of sufficient air conditioning systems and well maintained toilets. All of these are considered to put up concert facilities (Concepcion, 2011). In order for a concert to be possible, it is necessary to need a committee. It is an important factor to consider having to appoint a management team to ensure that the facilities in the concert are in good condition. Furthermore, the team responsible in organizing the facilities should also be divided into specific sections. For instance in the checking of acoustics, taking care of the number of seats as well as the arrangement of it, decorating the whole venue and also the people who will be responsible for cleaning the venue after the event. Attila the Hun, Genghiz Khan, and Tamerlane share the same reputation of brutal, blood thirsty barbarians who were after nothing more (or less) but the destruction of the so called civilized world. Do they deserve this reputation or a case can be made in defense of one or all of these leaders? Attila the Hun Attila the Hun and his brother Bleda became joint leader of the empire after their father Mundzuk was supposedly killed by his brother, who took over the empire but was exiled because they thought him the killer of Mundzuk. Student Name: Omar Merhi Subject Name: Maintain network protection and control systems (complex) Assignment topic: Safe disposal of insulation Material Assignment Number: 1 Date: 30/3/11 Number of pages: 4 Teacher: Craig Tooke Safe Disposal of Insulation Material There have been various types of Insulating materials used within the electrical power industry since the beginning of electrical power. And over the years scientist and environmentalist have discovered that most if not all insulating materials are harmful to the human body or the environment in one way or another, being shot term or long term exposures. First of all, the term insulating material refers to a substance that has the ability to resist electrical energy flow to make a conductor or copper wire safe to touch by human hands for instance. But all these insulating materials will break down at a certain limit if the power is strong enough, so this tells us that there is no such thing as a perfect insulator. This example explained above is one use for an insulating material within the electrical power industry. Insulators serve many advanced purposes and conditions. Be it Arc suppression within circuit breakers or voltage insulation on power lines, or even protective equipment worn by electrical workers. A majority of these insulating materials have been known to cause health hazards to humans and environmental hazards to the environment which will be discussed in a bit more detail further on, and ... Hydrogen Concentration And Radioactive Isotopes Distinguish between stable and radioactive isotopes and describe the conditions under which a nucleus is unstable Isotopes are atoms of the same element with different numbers of neutrons; BUT they have the same number of protons. In nuclear chemistry, isotopes are shown in the following form: Chlorine 35 is written as 35Cl and Rubidium 85 is written as 85Rb Isotopes can be divided in two categories, radioactive and stable. Stable Isotopes are isotopes that are not radioactive. They have stable nuclei and pose no known physiological skills Radioactive Isotopes is when the atom is unstable, it will attempt to gain stability by emitting radiation in one of the three main forms. A substance is radioactive when it emits this radiation. There are three types of radiation: α (alpha), β (beta) and γ (gamma) radiation: Alpha Decay: is made of helium nucleus (2 protons and 2 neutrons) that are ejected from unstable large nuclei. Alpha radiation usually results when there are too many protons and neutrons in the nucleus for it to be stable. For example, the decay of uranium 238: Beta Decay: is made up of electrons ejected from an unstable nucleus (too may neutrons); but nuclei do not contain electrons. Hence, the underlying reaction is the decomposition of a neutron: When neutron decomposes, it forms an electron, which is immediately ejected as beta radiation, and a proton ( hydrogen nucleus ), which is captured by the nucleus. This model is used for the development of software or application. The purpose of SDLC is to make software more efficient and effective. The life cycle typically has six phases. It starts with analysis and design phase, then the implementation/ construction phase, testing phase, release or deployment phase and ends with maintenance phase. The analysis phase determines why the need for the software arose, the deliverables or outcome expected from the software or system and also identifies the various requirements for the development. It is very important to involve users, stakeholders and working engineers in this phase, to ensure that the Why criteria is thoroughly fleshed out. A well worked out analysis phase will help developers and architects to successfully work on the given requirements in the design phase. The design phase might also involve building several use cases and building prototypes for users. Design can be logical design, physical design or architectural design. In the construction phase, physical construction is done to complete the software (i.e. programming, hardware, software and so on). The implementation phase turns the design into an actual product. A majority of people in today s world agree with that statement. Everyone wants to be happy, but what truly defines happiness? The Happy documentary presents different things that make certain people happy, and what influences their feelings. The film does not only imply that direct message, but also paints a bigger picture for the audience. The bigger picture being: how ecology is the main factor behind people s happiness. The director of this film combines real experiences from people around the world along with research from scientists to explain our simple emotion, happiness. The filmmakers really amplified the idea that everyone can become happier. They filmed people from many different cultures around the world, to show that there are no barriers for being happy. Rather than starting the film with an interview from an average American, Happy began with an Indian rickshaw driver sharing his daily lifestyle. Although it may have seemed like a hard, tiring, and anticlimactic lifestyle to the audience, he was happy. The narrator reports, Research shows that he was as happy as the average American. This may seem unrealistic for the audience at first, considering the audience is still discovering this principle that happiness is diverse for other individuals. Especially for an audience member who finds that a majority of their happiness is related with money, this moment in the film may have not been easy for them to comprehend. This part of the film really amplifies the main claim from the director that happiness is mainly influenced by our ecology. The Indian rickshaw driver found most of his happiness when he came home, and interacted with his son. The idea of ecology has a lot to with the social interaction between individuals of the same species, in this case, it was the interaction between the rickshaw driver and his son. Not only did the interaction with his son brighten his mood, but his interaction with his neighbors also brought him to be happy. The film then proceeds to reveal some of the science behind our happiness and how happiness is measured. The film ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Presently, two women are vying for their respective political party s nomination to become President of the United States, however in the late nineteenth century this would have never been thought possible. Women during this era had no self representation other than their husbands and fathers. Several generations of women who supported the suffrage movement, fought to change the Constitution of the United States. These revolutionary women of the United States played a monumental role in making this a reality. As a result of these women s efforts, and many more that followed, the 19th amendment to the Constitution was ratified on August 18, 1920, allowing women the right to vote. This amendment marks one of the most pivotal points in American politics. In order to set the stage for the importance of women s rights during this time in history, one must first understand the circumstances under which women lived in nineteenth century America.
