This document provides an overview of eukaryotic genome organization, regulation of gene expression through transcription and translation control, and evolution. It discusses how DNA is organized into chromatin and packaged into higher order structures like nucleosomes and chromosomes. Gene expression is regulated through controlling transcription initiation and RNA processing. Additional control occurs after transcription through regulating translation initiation, protein processing and degradation. Overall it describes the multi-level regulation of eukaryotic gene expression from DNA to protein.
