WHY DO WE NEED BODY SYSTEMS?
 Unlike unicellular organisms, our cells are not all in direct contact
with the external environment.
 Their distance from the external environment means that not all
body cells are able to exchange substances directly with it.
 Cells are therefore not able to obtain
their own nutrients, oxygen & other
substances needed for life processes;
nor get rid of their wastes.

WHY DO WE NEED BODY SYSTEMS?
 In order to survive our cells need a helping
hand.
 They need body systems which work
together to provide the nutrients, oxygen,
etc.; get rid of wastes and lots more.
