A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. If so, discuss it here Audience: The audience will be male an d female because both male and female can play games and the age range will be 16+ because the games we are going to be talking about are 16+ and it will not be appropriate for younger people. The social status will be middle because that’s who play consoles the most and that will mean it’s the best for the social status. The psychographic will be balanced because balanced people want to succeed in life and also want my podcast to be good and have not many issues with it. Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc. Why would your project appeal to this person? Legal & Ethical Considerations: I don’t think that there will be anything offensive because we will not be saying the wrong things that could offend people if the information is wrong. Younger people will be restricted because we will be talking about games what are rates 16+. It will not offend religions, social groups and ethnicities because if they are against games what are somewhat violent then we won’t show any videos of the games so then they can still listen to it but just don’t watch and content of the game and then won’t get offended. I will make sure that it won’t offend anyone by saying everything that we say is true and then if it’s a lie and people get offended by it then they won’t if it’s true. The only thing we will use is the title of a game or a video of the game. I think we will not get copy righted because if we use a clip from a video then it will be less than 30 seconds. Also I will make my podcast different from others by making all the stuff that I produce my own and the music I will get it from a website where it’s all copy right free or from YouTube with a copy right free channel. Think about any offensive material you will include? Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright infringement?
