Review of my news stories
1. Review of my news stories
My first news story was a Copy Only story; I did it on the recent
twitter argument with Khloe Kardashian and Amber Rose. It was a
brief explanation also with my own views of the situation; I used a
relaxed and informal tone as its more entertainment news then
serious news. I talked over a relaxing yet current song to keep it from
being to empty and to show it’s just a brief example of the story. Any
mistakes I made I edited out using reaper, I did this by selecting the
mistake and the cutting the area selected. I recorded this on a voice
recorder provided by college.
My second news broadcast was an interview. This was an interview
about the labour government planning to lower voting ages down to
16-17 year olds. For this I asked the head of media in Eccles called
Paul Rossington, I did this because he is a political enthusiast and
knows allot about it and would be able to give me detailed answers. I
set out the questions I was going to ask him, and also let him look at
the sheet to get an idea of what he can say and think about his
answers in order to get better results. For this I used my Iphone6
voice recorder as the quality is good and on hand so I could do the
interview whenever needed and whenever my interviewee was free.
For my third story I had to do another interview. This time I did it on
Manchester united Transfers, I asked Amelia Cranstoun, who is a
united fan and football fanatic. I also gave her an idea of the
questions she was going to be asked in order to put her at ease and
give her more of an idea of what this interview was going to be
about. I recorded this on my iphone6 also as it was on hand and
perfect to record on.
My stories have all been reviewed by a focus group and I have been
given feedback on each one. The overall opinion of my stories is that
2. the questions asked let the interviewee give personal and open
answers which let me lead on to different questions which were said
to flow well between each one asked. Also the quality or the
recordings was high, except questions could be asked more
enthusiastically and louder.
