Phases of Process Analysis
Process analysis is the systematic breakdown of the phases of a process. The first piece of the process
is the initiation phase, where the business identified a problem in the human resources (HR) system. A
proposal to develop software for the real time integration of the HR system with multiple other
systems of record was submitted to solve the problem. After the business approves the proposal, the
next part of the process is system concept development. This phase of the software development life
cycle (SDLC) involves collecting system boundary documentation that identifies the scope of the
system, conducting a feasibility study and cost/benefit analysis, and developing a risk management
plan (Blaha Rumbaugh, 2005).
The business requirement is for an automated analysis of HR data and real time identity integration
between numerous systems. Automation adds value to the business, saves time and manpower, and
makes HR data more accurate. While the implementation of a real time system represents a
considerable investment for the business, it will be more cost efficient since it would drastically
reduce delays incurred from manually updating information in each system. A real time system also
helps the business achieve certain government regulation requirements and prevent significant audit
findings.
The first step in the implementation of a real time system is to gather as much information as possible.
All data from the current HR system should be transferred to the new

The Help By Kathryn Stockett
For most women, whether you re an actress or whatever you do, there is this pressure in society and
within the world to look a certain way, dress a certain way, act a certain way, say certain things, and be
this idea as opposed to being a person. Amber Tamblyn
In the novel The Help, by Kathryn Stockett, the setting (1960 s, small town mississippi) helped us to
understand Stockett s purpose of highlighting the pressure society places on women, such as job
availability for women or need to marry. We all experience pressure from society in some aspects of
our lives but the difference, for women in particular, is that women have pressure from society in
every aspect of their lives.
We are first introduced to the theme of society s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is also shown when at The Benefit. Celia is described as being dressed in a sparkling hot pink
gown that shows too much skin and exposes too much of her body, while the rest of the women are
described as wearing dresses that hide almost all areas of their bodies. Ruffles clutch at her throat,
swathes of material hide her body. Tight fitted sleeves run all the way down her arm... Long kid
leather gloves ensure they don t have more than a few inches of epidermis exposed.
This highlights how little skin women felt was acceptable showing, especially in formal situations
Stockett uses the setting of Jackson, Mississippi in the 1960 s, to highlight and bring to attention how
stuck in the past, the people of Jackson are, in terms of their views on women s beauty.
The theme of society s pressure on women is developed into society s pressure on women in terms of
their roles in society. We are first introduced to this theme through Skeeter s mother. Her mother is an
older white women who belongs to a fairly wealthy family in Jackson, Mississippi. Four years my
daughter goes off to college and what does she come home with? she asks. A diploma? A pretty piece
of paper, Mother says. I told you. I didn t meet anybody I wanted to marry. I say. This shows Skeeter s
mother s insistence that she needs to find a husband, instead of continuing her education and

How Did The Industrial Revolution Improve American Society
Kamryn Melton
History
Exam Question 2
Since the beginning of time, the human society has been through many changes. One of the greatest
changes was the Industrial Revolution of Great Brittan. Although there were many discontent, the
positive outcomes outweighed the negative effects. The revolution improved Great Britain primarily
through innovation and invention of new technologies, improving communication and transportation,
and the lives of Britain people in the industrial society.
During the period of the Industrial Revolution, Great Britain saw great and fast change. Many new
inventions and innovations vigorously improved the economic sate of Britain and the lives of the
people. The inventions of the flying shuttle, spinning jenny, the water frame, and the spinning mule
sparked what is known as the textile industry. These inventions increased the speed and quality of
spinning and weaving. This also made it more efficient and required less human labor. As a result of
not needing much human labor people resorted to cities in search for jobs, thus leading to factories.
The factories became center or the power house of the industrial revolution. New machinery was
introduced allowing cheaper labor and mass production at a lower cost. This new way of creating
manufactured goods increased the economy of Britain exponentially. People were very pleased by the
increase of Britain s economy. Britain was also big on coal. Coal made it simpler and cheaper to melt
iron . This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Comparing Kennedy And Roosevelt s Four Freedoms
Both Roosevelt s Four Freedoms speech and Kennedy s inaugural address express helping the world
obtain liberty, however Roosevelt s speech focuses on what the freedoms are, whereas Kennedy s
speech focuses on what we should do about it. Though both of the speeches are given by respectable
Presidents of the United States and discuss the topic of freedom, they are very differing in what they
focus on when talking about liberty.
Both Kennedy and Roosevelt wrote speeches on the topic of liberty and there are many similarities to
the two, one in particular I found very interesting was This nation has placed its destiny in the hands
and hearts of its millions of free men and women, and its faith in freedom under the guidance of God
(FDR 276). This shows that Roosevelt put his faith in God in whether the country deserved freedom
or not, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is also a quote similar to this in Kennedy s speech it states that The belief that the rights of man
come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God (JFK 284). Both Kennedy and
Roosevelt believe that hand will give our Nation its right when GOD decides to give it. They both
believe that it is not our government that decides when freedom will happen, it is God that decides
that. Another similarity between the two is that both express keeping the world free. Let every nation
know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any
hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to ensure the survival and the success of liberty (JFK
284). This one by JFK expresses we as a country, will do anything to help any country be free and
want to help even if we are enemy countries. We are putting

Research Paper On George Orwell
Mack Allen
Mr.Booth
Period 6 English
12/3/14
Author Study of George Orwell George Orwell was a literary tactician who won two major awards
because of hia advanced and intriguing use of propaganda. At first glance, his books appear to be
stories about animals, however, they contain much deeper and influential meanings. Orwell is most
recognized for his portrayal of dystopian societies and how they parallel present society. Through
intense allegories, Orwell unintentionally crafted novels that are applicable to the totalitarian
government systems prevalent in many advanced societies today. His dystopian societies have
influenced many on history and government alike, giving it timeless qualities.
Born as Eric Arthur Blair, George Orwell was an extremely skilled novelist, critic, journalist, and
essayist capable of spreading his thoughts through incredible literary propaganda. Orwell was born on
July 25, 1903 in Bengal, India. He moved to England at a young age with his mom shortly after his
father died. Orwell was first publicly recognized for his writing when a poem that he wrote at age
eleven appeared in a local newspaper. Orwell was well educated through many reputable English
academies that he was able to attend through hard earned scholarships. After education, Orwell
traveled back to India, where his grandma lived, and joined the police. While on a work leave due to
catching a deadly disease in India, Orwell decided to quit his police career and devote his life to

Potatoes And Cannibalism
Potatoes around the world are affected by the pressing issue, of gangs of cannibal potatoes. Theses
gangs are making their new recruits eat french fries. These french fries could be there family. These
potatoes are eating their own, and they enjoy it. In New York, there was a potato gang who raided a
McDonalds and stole all the french fries. They were found in a factory, but all the french fries were
gone. These rabid potatoes ate all the french fries. The potatoes were taken into custody, and charged
with cannibalism. One of the potatoes, who would like to remain anonymous, said in there testimony,
¨Until you eat french fries, it seems cruel. But here s the thing, these potatoes are already dead.

The jury wasn t convinced and the potatoes were convicted of cannibalism. That s when Suzy Jones,
one of the potatoes convicted of cannibalism, made a scene. She started screaming at the jury that,
¨there is no reason we should be going to prison. We eat french fries, already dead potatoes. It s not
like we are killing them ourselves. They are already dead, so why punish us for cannibalism. I would
understand if you charged us for breaking and entering, and theft, but for this. It doesn t make sense if
you take your personal beliefs away and look at the bigger picture.¨ The court did not take kindly to
this, neither did the audience. I believe that these rebel potatoes who enjoy eating their own, should be
sentenced for life. They should not be allowed to walk the streets, while they look at all the potatoes
on the street and get hungry. What happens when these potatoes walk down the street and feel a little
grumble in their stomach? Even they claim they have not killed and eaten a potato, who is to say they
will never. It is not safe to have these potatoes walk the street. This is a growing problem in the United

Free Market For Human Organs
Free Market for Human Organs
This paper introduces the consequences of allowing a free market for human organs and how it will
help alleviate the shortage for such items, which has arisen a social problem worldwide, giving entry
to black markets. A description of the market for living organ donors and cadaveric organs can be
found below along with the advantages, disadvantages, and ethical issues these markets arise in
modern society. This paper also discusses how the shortage of human organs has created a black
market for these items and the consequences it has in our society.
The Demand In the United States, there is an increasing demand for human organs. According to the
Department of Health and Human Services, approximately, 123,366 people are waiting for an organ
and daily, 21 people will die waiting for an organ. These numbers increase every day and the gap
between the number of patients waiting for a transplant and the number receiving a transplant has
continued to widen. According to research, in 2014, more than 8,500 deceased donors made possible
approximately 24,000 organ transplants. In addition, there were nearly 6,000 transplants from living
donors. Nearly 48,000 sight restoring corneal transplants were performed in the U.S. in 2014
(Statistics | Donate Life America, n.d.). However, these figures are not enough in order to meet current
and foreseeable demand. Figure 1 below demonstrates how this gap has continued to increase in the

How Do Honey Bees Communicate
How the honey bees communicate? They are not using the hum vibrations emitted by the wings to
pass the information. Experiments show that honey bees are no auditory organs, they will not hear any
sound. Honey bees use dance language and pheromones to communicate and share information with
one another. When a honey bee discovers a new food source, it will tell the other honey bees about its
location through the honey bee dance.
There are three types of honey bee dances that are the round dance, the tail wagging or waggle dance
and sickle dance. Round dance (figure 1) is a series of narrow circular movements. This is used to
indicate that the presence of food is within 50 meters of the hive. The honey bees may repeat the
dance several times at the same location or move to the other location on the honeycomb to repeat it.

Abigail Williams, the Villian of The Crucible by Arthur...
In writing short stories, novels, or plays, there are certain standards the writer comes to meet. He will
choose a basic story element to go by; either man versus nature, man versus man, or man versus
himself. Then, a setting that is appropriate to the writer is chosen, a place where the writer envisions
the story happening. Inevitably the characters are introduced one by one, and the writer tries to convey
their personality and instill a mental image for the reader. There have always been the heroes, the
villains and the victims. Any story can revolve particularly around any of these, but often they all have
roles that create equilibrium in the plot. However, in The Crucible, Arthur Miller did not need to

Abigail Williams accuses all of these people with only two things in mind. One of them is her
desperate desire to be in the spotlight at all times. ealthy motives are the reasons for the murdering of
innocent people.
Abigail Williams main cause for her wild accusations is a selfish one. It is to be with John Proctor, a
married man with whom she has an affair. She is sent away but all she thinks of is being reunited with
him. Abigail drinks blood, wishing to be with John Proctor, which could happen only if his wife
Elizabeth died. She then, after committing adultery and contributing to the breaking of a marriage, is
not through. Abigail pursues John and does not recognize that the affair is over. She conveys this in
saying I have something better than hope, I think! (22). Abigail does not just miss her love, she
becomes ruthless to get him back.
Abigail William s aggressive personality easily persuades the other girls to follow her footsteps, and
back up anything and everything she says. This personality also frightens people in the courtroom to
question her truthfulness, or her relation with John Proctor. Due to her forceful behavior, the girls
support Abigail, and therefore become entangled in her web of lies, sins, and murders.

remorse. With the exception of John

Nostradamus Predictions
Since the beginning of time, people have been attempting to catch a glimpse of the future. Coney
Island fortune tellers and the likes have profited greatly off people s fascination with what comes next.
Although a sideshow performer is unlikely to predict any world events, other better qualified
clairvoyants already have. For example, Nostradamus is famed for his future predictions, such as
nearly writing Hitler s name in a notebook years before he came to power. One woman is known as
the Nostradamus of the Balkans for her many prophecies about the future. Prophetess Vanga, better
known as Baba Vanga, predicted a great deal about our future, and some of these predictions may be
coming true.
Prophetess Vanga was born in Strumica, Bulgaria, modern day Macedonia, on January first, 1911
(Daily Musings 1). When she was twelve years old, Vanga was lost in a sandy field for days after a
tornado ripped through her home. After several days, she was found alive, but her eyes were badly

is no reason to believe people could not live forever. For example, a woman with breast cancer could
have per breasts replaced with perfect clones made in an organ printer. Additionally, an elderly man

Being accepted into France s marketplace gives Acme right of entry to the other European Union
nations. On the surface, France appears to have more of a structured trade policy, which will make
France s trade policies less prone to corruption. While some people may view being under continuous
examination a bad thing, this certainly will keep France s trading processes honest . According to the
US Department of State (2012), a U.S. company like Acme should trade and invest with France
because the U.S. is the top destination for French investment and the U.S. is the leading foreign
investor in France.
Economic Background and Currency Thanks to adopting Euro as their trade currency, France has
managed to turn what could be risks of loss or currency risks caused by price fluctuations into foreign
investment. For example, due to dollar weakness, France unfortunately lost an estimate of nine percent
of their revenue growth back in 2004 but with a rising demand for French imports and the power of
Euro, France weathered the storm and remains a top economy in the world (Tested by the mighty
Euro, 2004). In the past, the economic outlook in France has seemed unbalanced, been questionable,
and everything about their economy pointed towards a recession; fortunately for them, Euro has

Unlike other stories this one was a challenge but nevertheless it was a good one. The graphics in the
short story The Shabbat made the story unique, but they were also necessary to the story. If the story

essence of the war. The artistic style becomes as important as text because it contributes to the
narrative of the story. I think the minimalist black and white visuals represents another way of
understanding the world. Marjane does this in a very intelligent way and she knows that understanding
the Islamist Revolution might take more than just narrative and she says one example was our

Islamist Revolution is the fact that any type of depiction of Islam is forbidden (Religion Facts). The

Dysgraphia
Dyslexia affects the way a student reads but another specific learning disability, dysgraphia, also
affects the way a student writes (Adam 1). Dysgraphia is a condition that causes people trouble with
writing due to poor handwriting (Adam 1). Students with ASDs are at an increased risk of developing
dysgraphia (Adam 1). Children with ASDs do not learn motor skills as regularly as a normal
developing student would (Versfeld 1). Because of this many students do not develop the fine motor
skills needed to hold a pencil correctly, which could result in messy, unreadable handwriting (Adam
1). Another symptom of dysgraphia is poor grasp of spelling, grammar and punctuation (Adam 1).

their written work more efficiently than by hand (Stanberry 4). Speech recognition programs, which

Childhood Reflection Paper
By taking this class, I have learned about the stories of our childhood and how they affect us in many
ways. They allow for children and adults to connect with one another while reading a certain story.
This allows both the parent and the child the ability to wind down from a stressful day just by reading.
I learned about how stories make us who we are and help us escape into a different reality. Stories can
elicit emotional responses from us, help us deal with certain problems in our lives, and give us the
chance to empathize with certain characters who are like us. Bedtime stories allow us to use our own
imagination which allows us to travel to various places without even moving an inch from where we
are sitting. I have also learned how bedtime stories from our childhood help us realize what we value
and what our morals are. Therefore, this class has taught me about the books of our childhood and
how it helps strengthen our imagination just by reading little black marks on a piece of paper. Because
of stories, they help us figure out who we are as a person. I have learned how they emphasize our
morals and what we believe in. They teach us certain values and how to identify whether something is

finally to be exchanged by elegant, straight Cro Magnon, the true progenitor of modernistic
Europeans. Wholeheartedly, I disagree with this view. I think archaeological and research evidence
has shown that the Neanderthals lived in a hard, changing environment, and survived then reproduced
for over 250 thousand years despite the hardships they likely faced. Also,

The Mayans, as mentioned before, were never unified, and constantly warred with each other. With
rapidly growing amounts of people and already existing tensions, there is a very fair possibility that
large wars may have started breaking down the society, leaving them open for invaders as well. The
government holding the areas together may have begun to diminish and eventually the whole structure
of the civilization would have been destroyed. As religion was such an immensely dominating part of
the Maya society, tensions would have also affected priests who dealt with the main religious

The information age is also the age of massive data collection, of databases, records, data mining and
big data in all it s empowering and destructive potential. Not only since the Snowden leaks of 2012
has the question of, who records and who is being recorded become of interest to a wide audience.
Access to such data collection, the knowledge about it and the subjects relation to all encompassing
technology have been the basis of many influential writings of the last two decades.
From works such as Empire (Hardt and Negri) that investigate the effects of an all encompassing
global communication network on what Habermas called the public sphere to Geert Lovink s
investigation into the roots and practices of critical Internet culture, scholars agree on the existing and
growing importance of data access. In addition to that exists another school of thought more
concerned with the realizations of (digital) memory. Starting from Derrida s writing on the archive
(Derrida), to works such as Wolfgang Ernst s Media Archeology, scholars are interested in the effects
of media as memory agents.
However, none of these works have yet adequately addressed the question of sustainable storage in
relation to the power systems as described above. As the pace in the global information network

Animal Rights Essay
Animals and man have shared this planet since humans first appeared on earth. Animals have provided
transportation, food, clothing, shelter, companionship and entertainment throughout the ages.
Therefore, it is our duty to treat animals with respect, care and kindness and not cause them undue
suffering, because they have, in many ways, made it possible for man to survive on earth. However,
because normal adult humans have superior mental abilities in the hierarchical scale in nature, animals
have fewer rights than humans. Consequently, it is our responsibility to support and maintain the
animal kingdom (to the best of our ability); therefore helping to preserve them as fellow members or
our community of life on earth.

Animals should be viewed as experiencing subjects of life with inherent value of their own. We are
guilty of speciesism and have been inhumane and evil to creatures that are powerless. He contends
that any change requires a change in our heads and hearts.
It would seem that Regan wrote this essay because he feels there has been a blatant cruelty and
disregard for animals. He does not mention however, that all species use each other as resources that is
the way of nature. He seems to be denying or ignoring that natural phenomenon. Everything and
everyone is a resource in one way or another. Humans and animals are hosts for many insects,
parasites and microscopic organisms, which are part of nature s food chain.
As founder of the Animal Rights Liberation, utilitarian Peter Singer agrees with Regan s opinion that
we are guilty of speciesism. He defines speciesism as a prejudice or attitude of bias toward the
interests of members of one s own species. He informs the reader that he owes this term to Richard
Ryder.
In his essay All Animals are Equal , Singer laments the fact that the majority of humans take an active
part in, or allow their taxes to pay for the sacrificing species in order to promote their self interests. To
believe that only human life is sacrosanct is wrong, in his view, and another example of speciesism.
He believes we must allow beings, human or animal, which are similar in all relevant aspects, to

Comparing Machiavelli s The Prince And Letter To Francesco...
Niccolo Machiavelli, a Renaissance philosopher and historian, is regarded as one of the founders of
classical political philosophy and political science. To this day, scholars continue to debate whether
the Florencian writer is more sympathetic to the few or the many. With some of his texts containing
views contradicting the others, it is difficult to contend whether or not the philosopher is a true
democrat. Despite many of Machiavelli s seemingly democratic views and ideas, his personal
ideology appears to be more of a Republican nature. His republicanism is most informed by his
remarks on the people, nobles, and ideal state structure. Through analysis of his writings in The Prince
and The Discourses , and his Letter to Francesco Vettori, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If there is a minority, then the majority is much too large and may even impede on it. Democrats
govern by the masses according to majority rule, leading to critics labeling the structure as a tyranny
of the majority because of the lack of legal preservation of rights. For republicans, however, justice is
administered accordingly with set rules and guidelines, so as not to infringe upon the minority.
Machiavelli recognized the ongoing tensions between the few and many, each trying to control the
other, but never regarded it as an issue. In Discourses he writes, In every republic there are two
different inclinations: that of the people and that of the upper class, and that all the laws which are
made in favor of liberty are born of the conflict between the two. (I IV). Here, Machiavelli actually
sees this conflict as a source of political stability, necessary for the growth of every Republic. Without
tension, that would mean there is no coexistence between regimes and only a single type left to
dominate the platform. The existence of a dominant upper class was necessary to keep a Republic in
check; otherwise a, democracy could emerge and dominate the political sphere. Machiavelli s
sympathy to the few emerges from his view of human nature. The reason why the philosopher has
many critics is because his writings tend to sound quite evil, dark, and gruesome in nature. To others,

Hormone Therapy
Hormone therapy is very common for women as they reach their menopausal years. There has been
much debate as to whether a woman should use hormonal treatment to replace those hormones that
her body is not readily producing after menopause. Estrogen is a hormone produced by a woman s
ovaries. It is probably the most discussed and debated hormone. It is also produced in the adrenal
glands and fat tissues. Estrogen thickens the lining of the uterus, preparing it for the possibility of
implantation of a fertilized egg. In women, estrogen circulates in the bloodstream and binds to
estrogen receptors on cells in targeted tissues, affecting not only the breasts and uterus, but also the
brain, bone, liver, heart and other tissues. Estrogen causes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Aibileen In The Help
So bounded by their current circumstances, some people don t know their true potential. The Help, by
Kathryn Stockett, is about what it s like to work as a maid in the South during the 1960s. Aibileen
Clark and Minny Jackson are maids and nannies for two separate families in Jackson, Mississippi. A
woman, known as Miss Skeeter, has the idea to write an anonymous book called Help about what it s
like to live as a maid in Jackson. The book becomes a success but has both positive and negative
consequences towards the end of the story. Aibileen Clark changes from unhappy, to anxious, and
finally, insightful. A reader can conclude that it takes being forced out of their comfort zone to realize
their potential.

imagined for herself was raising kids and cleaning for her entire life. Now that she s fired, she has a
lot more in store for her. Due to the fact that she has more freedom, Aibileen now has time to think
about her experience as a maid and to analyze the character of the people in her environment. A reader
can tell that she is insightful because of the way she uses her words to describe the other characters.
How she says that Miss Hilly is in her own jail, but with a lifelong term shows that she is able to
decipher others character and summarize it in just a few words proving that she is indeed insightful.
To also prove that Aibileen is very insightful, Aibileen uses advanced vocabulary to describe what the
truth feels like saying, It feels cool, like water washing over my sticky hot body. Cooling a heat that s
been burning me up all my life (119). When Miss Skeeter first requests Aibileen to testify for her book
what it s like to live as a maid, Aibileen is slightly skeptical about the whole ordeal do the fact that the
decision could have negative consequences. To reveal what it s like to live as a maid is literally
revealing the truth about the emotions that travels through a maid. Aibileen has kept the truth bottled
up for as long as she could remember that s why she compares telling the truth to water washing over
my sticky hot body . To compare these two statements takes great amounts of thinking about one s
feelings. Aibileen cannot randomly think up such a perfect analogy without

  • 2. Phases of Process Analysis Process analysis is the systematic breakdown of the phases of a process. The first piece of the process is the initiation phase, where the business identified a problem in the human resources (HR) system. A proposal to develop software for the real time integration of the HR system with multiple other systems of record was submitted to solve the problem. After the business approves the proposal, the next part of the process is system concept development. This phase of the software development life cycle (SDLC) involves collecting system boundary documentation that identifies the scope of the system, conducting a feasibility study and cost/benefit analysis, and developing a risk management plan (Blaha Rumbaugh, 2005). The business requirement is for an automated analysis of HR data and real time identity integration between numerous systems. Automation adds value to the business, saves time and manpower, and makes HR data more accurate. While the implementation of a real time system represents a considerable investment for the business, it will be more cost efficient since it would drastically reduce delays incurred from manually updating information in each system. A real time system also helps the business achieve certain government regulation requirements and prevent significant audit findings. The first step in the implementation of a real time system is to gather as much information as possible. All data from the current HR system should be transferred to the new ... Amber Tamblyn In the novel The Help, by Kathryn Stockett, the setting (1960 s, small town mississippi) helped us to understand Stockett s purpose of highlighting the pressure society places on women, such as job availability for women or need to marry. We all experience pressure from society in some aspects of our lives but the difference, for women in particular, is that women have pressure from society in every aspect of their lives. Celia is described as being dressed in a sparkling hot pink gown that shows too much skin and exposes too much of her body, while the rest of the women are described as wearing dresses that hide almost all areas of their bodies. Ruffles clutch at her throat, swathes of material hide her body. Tight fitted sleeves run all the way down her arm... Long kid leather gloves ensure they don t have more than a few inches of epidermis exposed. This highlights how little skin women felt was acceptable showing, especially in formal situations Stockett uses the setting of Jackson, Mississippi in the 1960 s, to highlight and bring to attention how stuck in the past, the people of Jackson are, in terms of their views on women s beauty. The theme of society s pressure on women is developed into society s pressure on women in terms of their roles in society. We are first introduced to this theme through Skeeter s mother. Her mother is an older white women who belongs to a fairly wealthy family in Jackson, Mississippi. Four years my daughter goes off to college and what does she come home with? she asks. A diploma? Comparing Kennedy And Roosevelt s Four Freedoms Both Roosevelt s Four Freedoms speech and Kennedy s inaugural address express helping the world obtain liberty, however Roosevelt s speech focuses on what the freedoms are, whereas Kennedy s speech focuses on what we should do about it. Though both of the speeches are given by respectable Presidents of the United States and discuss the topic of freedom, they are very differing in what they focus on when talking about liberty. Both Kennedy and Roosevelt wrote speeches on the topic of liberty and there are many similarities to the two, one in particular I found very interesting was This nation has placed its destiny in the hands and hearts of its millions of free men and women, and its faith in freedom under the guidance of God (FDR 276). This paper also discusses how the shortage of human organs has created a black market for these items and the consequences it has in our society. The Demand In the United States, there is an increasing demand for human organs. According to the Department of Health and Human Services, approximately, 123,366 people are waiting for an organ and daily, 21 people will die waiting for an organ. These numbers increase every day and the gap between the number of patients waiting for a transplant and the number receiving a transplant has continued to widen. According to research, in 2014, more than 8,500 deceased donors made possible approximately 24,000 organ transplants. In addition, there were nearly 6,000 transplants from living donors. Nearly 48,000 sight restoring corneal transplants were performed in the U.S. in 2014 (Statistics | Donate Life America, n.d.). However, these figures are not enough in order to meet current and foreseeable demand. Figure 1 below demonstrates how this gap has continued to increase in the past two decades in the ... • 11. How Do Honey Bees Communicate How the honey bees communicate? They are not using the hum vibrations emitted by the wings to pass the information. Experiments show that honey bees are no auditory organs, they will not hear any sound. Honey bees use dance language and pheromones to communicate and share information with one another. When a honey bee discovers a new food source, it will tell the other honey bees about its location through the honey bee dance. There are three types of honey bee dances that are the round dance, the tail wagging or waggle dance and sickle dance. Round dance (figure 1) is a series of narrow circular movements. This is used to indicate that the presence of food is within 50 meters of the hive. The honey bees may repeat the dance several times at the same location or move to the other location on the honeycomb to repeat it. Then, a setting that is appropriate to the writer is chosen, a place where the writer envisions the story happening. Inevitably the characters are introduced one by one, and the writer tries to convey their personality and instill a mental image for the reader. They allow for children and adults to connect with one another while reading a certain story. This allows both the parent and the child the ability to wind down from a stressful day just by reading. I learned about how stories make us who we are and help us escape into a different reality. Stories can elicit emotional responses from us, help us deal with certain problems in our lives, and give us the chance to empathize with certain characters who are like us. Bedtime stories allow us to use our own imagination which allows us to travel to various places without even moving an inch from where we are sitting.
