Descriptive Essay On A Haunted House
When I walked into the haunted house to explore it. The old porch was creaking I was shaking. As I
walked it the door slammed behind me. I got scared tried to open the door there was no budge. I ran to
the back door of the house it was looked too there was no way I was getting out. I thought to myself
this house is haunted .
I decided to look around the house and see what it was like. There were four bedrooms, two
bathrooms, A kitchen, living room, and a den. I just figured out there was a up and a down stairs. I
decided to be brave and take a look up stairs. As I walked up the stairs the stairs creaked as i was
shaking scared that I would fall in. BOOM!!!!!!!, a loud noise I hear. The house was so scary I was
feeling very sick I just wanted to get out! There was no way for me to get out I was trapped. When I
went upstairs to look there was a game room and bathroom and a little lap sitting on a table. I went
more towards the lamp. Zoom!!! The lamp slides off the table and hits the wall and breaks. I run down
stairs shaking. I tripped over a loose board. I hit my head on the stairs I felt like it was the end. After a
few minutes I woke up in the basement I was thinking How did I get down here . Then I looked up
and I a little boy was looking at me. He says Are you ok ? I looked at him yes thanks for helping me.
You look scared. Yes I am I came here to explore it. I fell down the stairs and hit my head as the lamp
fell off the table. Sorry about that was my dad

I Loved The National Geographic And Discovery Channels And...
I always loved learning, I loved the national geographic and discovery channels and reading articles,
but I hated school with a passion. I despised getting up and in kindergarden I actually stabbed my
mom in the hand with a pencil in protest of writing my letters. I believe that s when a lot of things
clicked, at least on my moms end. A lot of parents would have forced their kids to do well in school
mine, never did. I couldn t thank them enough for it. Elementary school was miserable for me, not a
lot of friends and I was no teachers pet. I showed little to no interest in what my teachers had to say.
From kindergarten to sixth grade my teachers told my mom I wouldn t make it. Not in middle school,
and high school, probably shouldn t count on that either. Year after year my mom took this verbal
beating from my teachers saying she should be doing more , there s something wrong with me all my
teachers suggested my mom get me tested for ADD and ADHD my mom put it off until fourth grade
when I got written up for writing I hate school and I hate my teacher. she took me in to get tested but
to everyone s surprise I did not have ADD or ADHD. So my mom took my to a psychologist to figure
out why I was so against school. In a short amount of time the psychologist told my mom that no
matter how hard anyone tried they could not force me to pay attention or do the work, and that, that
was okay, as long as I understood and accepted the consequences. From then on All my mom

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening And Desert Places
Robert Frost s Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening and Desert Places are complementary works
which coincide with the naturesque elements most commonly ascribed to Frost. The two poems were
published over a decade apart in a period after the first World War where feelings of lack of
community and self worth had grown in precedents amongst the general public. The early years of
Frost s literary career were spent on his poultry farm in Derry, New Hampshire as he toiled his land.
Although Frost made for a bad farmer and suffered many difficulties and losses, it was during that
time when he developed his colloquial style of poetry. Of his numerous works, Stopping by Woods on
a Snowy Evening and Desert Places both share a common wintertime setting and similar, but
contrasting, language and themes.
From the features that draw on the distinctness between the poems is their linguistic style. In Stopping
by Woods , the language used is more rhythmic and sing song like than the gloomy, earnest
descriptions portrayed in Desert Places . The duo was also written with four stanzas in iambic meter
with similar rhyme schemes, however the difference between the two lies in the verbatim used to
illustrate nature as an omnipresent force. In Desert Places , Robert Frost s persona describes the snow
as engulfing the landscape, And the ground almost covered smooth in snow/And a few weeds and
stubble showing last. (3 4). On the other hand, in Stopping by Woods the snow has a
